According to news reports, the Trump administration is shipping thousands of bombs this week to the Israeli Air Force as reports circulate that Benjamin Netanyahu's government is preparing to launch a brutal attack on the Palestinian people who've managed to survive this war so far. I'll tell you more later. First, however, let's take a look at this New York Times report that
Starting point is 00:01:51 says President Trump has resisted Netanyahu's pressure to bomb Iran. The headline, Trump waved off Israeli strike after divisions emerged in his administration. New York Times saying, Israel had planned to strike Iranian nuclear sites as soon as next month, but was waved off by President Trump in recent weeks in favor of negotiating a deal with Tehran to limit its nuclear program according to administration officials and others briefed on the discussions. Mr. Trump made his decision after months of internal debate over whether to pursue diplomacy or support Israel in seeking to set back Iran's ability to build a bomb at a time when Iran had been weakened militarily and economically. The Times goes on to say the debate highlighted fault lines
Starting point is 00:02:57 between historically hawkish American cabinet officials and other aides more skeptical that a military assault on Iran could destroy the country's nuclear ambitions and avoid a larger war. It resulted in a rough consensus for now against military action, with Iran signaling a willingness to negotiate." Doc Burkhardt is here with me. So Doc, if the New York Times is correct, we've come pretty close to a war with Iran in the past two months. Yes, and backed off on it. And as we get deeper into this time story, we
Starting point is 00:03:39 have some, I think, it's surprising information to those who were opposed to doing a strike on Iran. Israeli officials had recently developed plans to attack Iranian nuclear sites in May. They were prepared to carry the manna at times were optimistic that the US would sign off. The goal of the proposals, according to officials briefed on them, was to set back to Iran's ability to develop a nuclear weapon according to officials briefed on them, would set back Tehran's ability to develop a nuclear weapon by a year or more. It goes on to say almost all the plans would have required the US to help
Starting point is 00:04:10 not just to defend Israel from Iranian retaliation, but also to ensure that an Israeli attack was successful, making the US a central part of the attack itself. Now, if you recall, earlier this month, Mr. Trump had informed Israel of his decision that the U.S. would not support an attack. He discussed it with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when the Prime Minister visited Washington last week and used an Oval Office meeting to announce the U.S. was beginning talks with Iran. Now, in a statement delivered in Hebrew after the
Starting point is 00:04:47 meeting, Mr. Netanyahu said that an agreement with Iran would work only if it allowed the signers to go in, blow up the facilities, dismantle all the equipment under American supervision and American execution. Now, this is where the story gets interesting. Some American officials were at least initially more open to considering the Israeli plans. General Michael Karilla, the head of US Central Command, and Michael Waltz, National Security Advisor, both had discussed how the US could potentially support an Israeli attack if Mr. Trump backed the plan, according to officials briefed on the discussions. But inside the Trump administration, Rick, some officials were becoming skeptical of the Israeli plan. Now, in a meeting this month, one of
Starting point is 00:05:35 several discussions about the Israeli plan, Tulsi Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, presented a new intelligence assessment that said that the buildup of American weaponry could potentially spark a wider conflict with Iran that the US did not want. After that, a range of officials echoed Miss Gabbard's concerns in the various meetings. Suzy Wiles, White House Chief of Staff,
Starting point is 00:06:00 Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Vice President JD Vance, all voiced doubts about the attack. Even Mr. Walz, frequently one of the most hawkish voices on Iran, was skeptical that Israel's plan could succeed without substantial American assistance. In pressing Mr. Trump to join in an attack, Mr. Netanyahu was replaying a debate he has had with American presidents over nearly two decades. Blocked by his American counterparts, Mr. Netanyahu is instead focused on covert sabotage operations
Starting point is 00:06:34 against specific facilities and assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists. But Rick and Israel, they have a different view of this conversation. They do, but I want to go back, Doc, in this a different view of this conversation, don't they? They do. They do. But I want to go back, Doc, in this article from the New York Times, and it says, in a statement delivered – this is 1CQ – in a statement delivered in Hebrew after the meeting, Mr. Netanyahu said an agreement with Iran would work only if it allowed the signers to go in, blow up the facilities, dismantle all the equipment under American supervision with American execution.
Starting point is 00:07:16 So if the American military is supervising the attack and executing the attack, that's an American attack. That's right. This is so slick. This is Netanyahu with his... Doing the same thing he has always done. Mr. Trump, I've got this plan. I've got this plan.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Israel's going to attack Iran. We just need you to sign right here. And then when you start reading the details, wait a minute, this is a US attack. It's an Israeli plan for a US attack. Nothing's changed in Netanyahu's schemes. He's been trying to do this for 20 years. I'm not exaggerating. I've been here for 26 years. For 20 years or more, Netanyahu has
Starting point is 00:08:10 tried to find an American president to blow up Iran. Yes. And Mr. Trump is the latest one. And thank God he didn't cave in and go for it, although he may be participating in the destruction of Palestine. So he doesn't appear to be taking the bait on Iran. No, somebody, and I'm really surprised about this, Pete Hagseth was against it. And he is, I mean, he is about as Zionist as Netanyahu. Yes, but suddenly as a defense secretary,
Starting point is 00:08:50 you know, it's a different position now. You're actually gonna be in a war. You're gonna be the head man at the Pentagon in a war. And I think some of the Pentagon advisors and generals were taking him aside saying, you have no idea how bad this is going to get. This is going to be really bad. Mike Waltz, who is a Zionist, a war hawk,
Starting point is 00:09:14 a protege of Dick Cheney, Vice President Dick Cheney. Who never met a war he didn't like. So he went from pro-war to a skeptic about the war. So thank God there were people inside the White House that told President Trump, don't do this. Don't commit to this plan. Now you mentioned reaction in Israel. Here's times of Israel. Core plans
Starting point is 00:09:48 to strike Iran's nuclear sites shared the New York Times. Leak may hurt US- Israel ties, security officials say. You see they're calling it a leak. Doug, who is the master leaker in Israel? Well we know the answer to that, the minister of propaganda going way back, Benjamin Netanyahu. I think he leaked the story. I don't know, I think he— Rick, I had the same thought. That's what's scary, I had the same thought. I think he leaked the story.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Absolutely. So, the details of a planned Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear facilities leaked to the New York Times today are likely to harm ties between Jerusalem and Washington, unnamed senior security officials told Channel 12 News. The attack was blocked by US President Donald Trump, according to the report, who has currently opted for negotiations with Iran over their nuclear program. Now, quote from the Times of Israel here, the core of the secret was revealed, the officials say,
Starting point is 00:10:48 including the method of the action, the timing, methods of coordination, and the element of surprise. With that, great harm was done to Israeli interest against Iran. Now, we also have this article from the Jerusalem Post. Netanyahu's office fails to deny Trump stopped Israeli strike on Iran Nukes. So now, here's Benjamin Netanyahu shaping the story. Iran's nuclear program has been delayed by nearly a decade due to a series of overt and covert operations directed by Benjamin Netanyahu. the prime minister's office said in a statement.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Netanyahu directed countless overt and covert operations that have been instrumental in preventing the Islamic Republic from acquiring a nuclear arsenal. These efforts, the statement claimed, have set back Iran's nuclear program by nearly 10 years. Prime Minister Netanyahu has led the global campaign against Iran's nuclear program for over a decade, even when others dismissed the threat, calling it a political spin and labeling the prime minister paranoid, the statement said. Now, what he's doing here is he
Starting point is 00:11:58 saying Israel knows best on this. Okay, so let's think this through, Doc. As you're talking, I'm this. Okay, so let's think this through, Doc. As you're talking, I'm pondering my own statement that Netanyahu was the leaker. What does he have to gain? What would be the motivation? That by putting this out there and laying it on the administration, it's meant to pressure them and embarrass them into doing something against Iran and to break down negotiations. That's what I was thinking. That the John Hagues, the Christian Zionists of America would be riled up against President Trump. How dare you not support Israel?
Starting point is 00:12:42 Their existence is at stake. You have to bomb Iran. Don't negotiate with Iran. Iran is nothing but a bunch of terrorists. We don't negotiate with terrorists, Rick. But, Doc, the Israeli officials, unnamed officials, are saying, you know, too much information was released in this article. This hurt us. What would be the purpose of Netanyahu leaking his own attack plans? Now these basically were the American attack plans that he came up with.
Starting point is 00:13:12 Yes. Hey, I've got a plan for you to attack Iran. This is how your Air Force and Navy will do it. So why would he reveal it? Once again I believe to embarrass and to pressure the Americans into doing something. Well, we've been caught. Now we've got to do something. We've got to do something against Iran. We've got to have a military action against Iran of some kind. Or is it to say, the American plan has been out it now Israel must carry out their own plan.
Starting point is 00:13:46 Yeah, if you were to consider, you know, the alternative that it was leaked by the Trump administration to the New York Times, it's basically saying to Israel, you're on your own. If you're going to do something, we're not going to be a part of it. And so but I'm leaning more toward Netanyahu leaking the story himself to pressure America into doing it, to embarrass Donald Trump. That's really what it's about, to embarrass Donald Trump and to say, don't negotiate with Iran, blow them up.
Starting point is 00:14:16 Here's the Jerusalem Post. The leak by the New York Times is one of the most dangerous leaks in Israel's history. Wow, Israel's history? Yes. Oh my goodness. An Israeli official told the Jerusalem Post today. But in other news involving bombing people that Israel doesn't like, Cradle Media is reporting that the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation,
Starting point is 00:14:44 that's their PBS organization, is reporting unprecedented amounts of bombs headed to Israel. Yes, and as it goes on to say there, that nine U.S. cargo planes landed at an Israeli base within the last 24 hours. And listen to what the cradle is reporting here. The shipments are intended to prepare Israel for potential strikes on Iran's nuclear facilities if diplomatic negotiations fail. That's what Cradle Media is reporting there.
Starting point is 00:15:16 Okay, so if this is accurate, then President Trump is shipping bombs to Israel to prepare for a bombing campaign of Iran. Well and I think if that's truly the case, it could be Donald Trump saying to Iran, listen, I'm going to keep supplying Israel with weapons even in the midst of negotiations. I think it's a negotiation tactic myself, but I could be wrong. Well does he get the bombs back if Iran signs the deal? Do we get anything back from Israel? No, of course not.
Starting point is 00:15:53 Now in other reports, this is Ynet News, Israel, US approves major weapons shipment to Israel as IDF prepares for a Gaza offensive. The IDF is set to receive a major shipment of arms from the United States in the coming weeks including more than 3,000 munitions for the Israeli Air Force as part of its preparation for continued operations in the Gaza Strip and a potential strike on Iran. The shipment approved by the Trump administration is intended to boost the Israeli Air Force's readiness for a large-scale campaign by the IDF
Starting point is 00:16:33 Southern Command in the Gaza Strip. The delivery comes in addition to more than 10,000 aerial munitions expected to replenish Israeli stockpiles after 18 months of prolonged multi-front fighting. So it means they have... They're gonna be blowing up more little kids. They've spotted, they have spotted children still alive and we're going to kill them. So look, the hard cold reality is Mr. Trump sent thousands of American bombs this week to Israel to kill Palestinians. Like it or not, that's what happened. A lot of Palestinians, innocent people who have nothing to do with any of this stuff going on between Hamas and Israel.
Starting point is 00:17:27 A lot of innocent people are going to die because of American bombs. I don't want this on my hands. You're not going to see me signing my autograph to bombs being sent to Palestine. Yes. Alright, that's all I'm going to say. sent to Palestine. Yes. Alright, that's all I'm going to say. Times of Israel. There's no point in saying anything anymore. There's just no point.
Starting point is 00:17:53 Like I want to ask, what's that guy doing with that hat? What's he got inside that hat? Why do you walk around in the Arab Middle East wearing a fur hat? But I shouldn't say that. Well, you used to wear fur hats when you were from Eastern Europe. Yes, where it was snowing. It's like, give me a break. I can't even deal with this stuff anymore. It's the same stuff over and over and over. But this is what we're fighting for right here Yeah, this is it right here right there to wear that big hat
Starting point is 00:18:29 So you're gonna kill a lot of little children so you can wear your big hat on the land that they used to own I Gotta get another job doc. I just I gotta get another job. I can't can't deal with this stuff anymore So a lawmaker. this is an Israeli lawmaker, prostrates himself at the Temple Mount and lauds the tremendous change in Jewish access to the Islamic Mosque. Go ahead, Doc. Sure. A religious Zionist member of the Knesset, Zeviq Sakat, visited the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on Thursday where he participated
Starting point is 00:19:06 in a prayer service and prostrated himself on the ground in worship, activities that are normally prohibited for Jews at the holy site. Sakat hailed the tremendous change since he was arrested for the same act 14 years ago. Meanwhile, allied far-right national security minister Ben Gavir, who oversees the Israeli police, which enforces law and security on the Mount, boasted that his policies had resulted in a shift in the unwritten status quo that governs the site. Translation, he's going to let him keep on doing it too. And there's a reason for the timing. This is to provoke, to provoke the Palestinian Muslims.
Starting point is 00:19:50 They're getting ready to launch another bombing campaign. They're provoking them. They're saying, why don't you do an uprising so we can kill all of you in one week? That's the harsh reality. In all of Palestine, not just Gaza, in Nazareth, in Bethlehem, everywhere, they want to kill them all and they're provoking them. They're sticking their thumb in their eye. They're saying, hey, here we are. We're Jews and we're on your Temple Mount.
Starting point is 00:20:22 What are you going to do about it? We're killing your kids I don't like these people talk. I don't like them I just don't like them. I don't like the way they treat people They're despicable I What am I supposed to say? A lot of kids are going to die. That's what's going to happen. Right. Kids that had nothing to do with any of these.
Starting point is 00:20:50 But while we're talking about children, look at this next article. Elon Musk wants a legion of children for the apocalypse. I'm not making it up folks This is for real. Let's see. Where do I read legion in the Bible? hmm Demons and possessing somebody we are legion. I know it's a Roman military term But he wants a legion of his children for the apocalypse, for the end of the world. Yes. Now, this is a man who says he's a space alien.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Yes, a citizen of Mars. So now this is coming from the mother of one of his children, not his wife, but the mother of one of his children, Ashley St. Clair. And according to the article here, Elon Musk wants to hire surrogates to carry enough of his children to ward off an apocalypse, according to the mother of one of his sons. Ashley St. Clair, a conservative influencer and journalist, stretching things a lot, said that the Tesla and SpaceX CEO calls his offspring the Legion, a reference to the military units that could contain thousands of soldiers deployed to expand the reach of the Roman Empire.
Starting point is 00:22:12 Musk has previously espoused so-called pronatalist beliefs, warning that civilization's going to crumble if people do not start having more children. I don't disagree with that. But St. Clair, who shares Musk's views on reversing the declining birth rate, revealed that while she was pregnant, Musk asked that they bring in other women to have even more of their children faster. In a text message viewed by the Journal, he said to St. Clair, to reach Legion level before the apocalypse, we will need to use surrogates.
Starting point is 00:22:46 This is the man that's in the White House. Yes. Influencing Donald Trump. And as I've said for a long time, Elon Musk is a standard Bond villain. He's becoming more and more a Bond villain every day, Rick. Only a crazy Bond villain says stuff like this. But hey, it's a different day in 2025, isn't it, Rick?
Starting point is 00:23:13 Yeah, it's time for me to retire from the news. I'm just going to talk to children. I'm just going to talk to children about Jesus. And they're certainly not a legion, are they? J. No, no. It's gone to the level of bizarre. The world's bizarre. And these people have great power in wealth. And they are, whether they know it or not, they're part of the Antichrist system. I don't know if he's knowingly participating in it, but the man... He wore a Satan suit a couple years ago, Rick.
Starting point is 00:23:56 Okay, all right, so you're implying what? What am I implying? He says he wants to have a Legion. I can't. I can't. A devil suit. I can't get upset. He shoots cars into space. He sells flame flurers. And puts implants in people's brains. Oh by the way, the FDA today approved a Neuralink for human use. Well of course. So get your brain sucking device from Elon Musk. That's the next thing. I can't get upset about it anymore, Doc. Jesus is coming. Hallelujah. My Lord and Savior, Jesus is coming. I'm not going to get upset about these people anymore. I spent decades
Starting point is 00:24:38 telling people what's happening and now it's happened. And it's more bizarre than anything I ever anticipated. These news headlines are crazier than any conspiracy I ever dreamed up. I'll tell you the reason I'm retiring from news. I can't compete with the reality anymore. I can't compete with the reality anymore. All right? I can't compete with it. I used to work hard at coming up with some really far out conspiracy theories. Now reality outdoes my conspiracy theories. So why fight it?
Starting point is 00:25:17 They're doing well on their own right now. Russia Today. AI can replace half of Russia's government employees. Well, I bet they will. And you know what Mr. Musk is doing in the United States? He's replacing, you know all those people being fired? They're not being fired so, well, they're being fired to make way for AI.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Yes. That's the reason they're being fired. Yes. AI's gonna run US federal government agencies. And Russia is observing this and they're saying, you know what, we can do the same thing. Russia could potentially replace at least half of its civil servants with AI, Digital Development Minister Max Shadev said during a panel discussion at the Data Fusion Forum on Thursday. Shadev highlighted
Starting point is 00:26:05 the capabilities of AI in transforming public service jobs. He says, I believe AI can certainly replace half of public servants, possibly even more, he stated. He noted, however, that certain professions such as doctors and teachers cannot be replaced. I wouldn't be so sure about that, Minister Shadev. Right now, artificial intelligence can ace the medical college application test. So, and there are already schools using AI to teach children. And lawyers, they are definitely in danger. A lot of professionals, CPAs are in danger.
Starting point is 00:26:47 Right. Come on, AI can do your books a lot better than any human AI, any human CPA. And I would say to Minister Shatoev, your job's not safe either. That's right. AI might do a better job at digital development than you ever could.
Starting point is 00:27:03 But I don't say that in a mean way. I'm just saying that's the reality of the situation. I'm working with AI every single day. And I'm watching the rapid development. I mean, every day. You know, I dig into artificial intelligence news, and I'm just like, wow, something new here today. Yeah, so let's jump one article,
Starting point is 00:27:23 go down to number 12, Bloomberg, because that really fits what we're talking about. The U.S. pushed to rival China's humanoid robots, undercut by Trump's tariffs. So it's a long article, we're not going to go into the details. The bottom line is the humanoid robot companies in America were blindsided by the tariffs, and now they can't get the parts that they need to build the robots. And they're saying China is going, because they've got the parts, they've got the materials, they are going to run far faster than US robot manufacturers.
Starting point is 00:28:07 And we're going to be behind. So I guess that's to be considered a loss. Again, that's Bloomberg. Now we'll go back. We'll talk about the tariffs. Number 11, London Telegraph. Xi Jinping demands Asian family unity to fend off Trump America. You know yesterday we talked about, I think it was yesterday or the day before, that the
Starting point is 00:28:33 world was being pulled into two poles. China running Asia, the US running the West. Here's an example. Xi Jinping making his rounds going to Asian countries saying, you've got to stand with China. We've got to link together. All Asians must come together against America. He said this Xi Jinping called for the Asian family to unite in the face of Donald Trump's trade war. The Chinese president hopes to deter neighboring countries from striking deals with the US, a move that threatens
Starting point is 00:29:10 to split the world into rival trading blocks. Xi Jinping's allies, Mr. Xi, urged allies to, quote, resolutely oppose any attempts by external forces to interfere in our internal affairs and so discord. President Trump is isolating China. A lot of people, Mr. Trump's political opponents in America and Europe are saying that President Trump is going to isolate
Starting point is 00:29:46 America. Just the opposite. It's just the opposite. He's isolating China. He is isolating China. I don't know what I said a few minutes ago. I meant to say he's isolating China and he is going to get them in a corner, but that's why we're gonna have war. Right. Because they're going to be in a corner and no way out. And that's when they're going to strike. But I think we've got maybe five years on that one. Well, just remember that China has a history of 5,000 years. Yes. They've been around for a long time. They've seen a lot of wars. Yes, but the, but the, but the Sakeilum has an 80 year war cycle. And we're in the 80 year cycle right now. In fact, we've already, the World War III started right on time. 80 years.
Starting point is 00:30:33 Yes. Count from, from the start of America in World War II. December 7th, 1941. Add 80 years. What's that take you to December 7th? 2021 all right, and then on February 24th 24th of 2022 Russia invaded Ukraine that was the start of World War three It the cycle was right on time. And this thing
Starting point is 00:31:06 is going to end sometime in the 2030s. It's going to end with China and the United States blowing up each other. Some more tariff news. London Telegraph. Trump tells Maloney, the U.S. will have very little problem making Europe trade deal. Yes, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Maloney has visited the White House earlier today. And you see her here, arriving at the White House. President Trump personally greeting her.
Starting point is 00:31:38 He likes her. Yes. They seem to get along well. And she's considered a conservative in Italy. The meetings seem to go well. We've got some clips here. This is President Trump. Well, he's doing a shout out.
Starting point is 00:31:56 This is the first one. He's doing a shout out to Italy's Prime Minister Maloney. Let's watch. You like her very much. I think she's a great prime minister. I think she's doing a fantastic job in Italy. We're very proud of her. I knew her right from the beginning. I knew her as a very early Prime Minister and I knew she had great talent. She's one of the real leaders of the world and I'm very proud to be with her.
Starting point is 00:32:21 I can't do better than that, right? Yes! That's what I thought. Thank you very much. Did you notice something there, Doc? I noticed something I've never seen ever. What's that? Donald Trump laughing. Oh, publicly laughing.
Starting point is 00:32:40 Publicly laughing. He seems to be more relaxed and more himself in the second term. I don't recall ever seeing this man laugh. That's something Bill Maher said the other day. He had dinner with President Trump. He said, I've never seen this man laugh. He laughs a lot. Watch this again. Let's not pay attention to what he and Prime Minister Maloney say. Just watch at the end. that's a genuine laugh. You like her very much. I think she's a great prime minister.
Starting point is 00:33:09 I think she's doing a fantastic job in Italy. We're very proud of her. I knew her right from the beginning. I knew her as a very early prime minister, and I knew she had great talent. She's one of the real leaders of the world, and I'm very proud to be with her. I can't do better than that, right?
Starting point is 00:33:33 Better endorsement there. He's becoming more relaxed. He's more into being himself because he plays a role in public. because he plays a role in public. The Donald Trump that you see in public is a character. And always has been. Right. Yeah, from the time he, always has been, and so. But he seems like he's opening himself up. Maybe Bill Maher got to him and said,
Starting point is 00:34:02 you need to laugh in public. Be yourself. Well, Prime Minister Malher got to him and said, you need to laugh in public. Be yourself. Well, Prime Minister Maloney came to the White House for one purpose, and one purpose only. She came to make a deal. And she's been one of the few leaders in Europe that has been trying to encourage the Europeans, you better wake up and smell the coffee here,
Starting point is 00:34:21 because things are going to change rapidly. But she came here specifically and she says this is an internet clip. I came to make a deal. Watch this. The retaliatory tariffs that the European Commission passed and then suspended. Are they still on the table if you cannot make a deal with President Trump? I'm sure we can make a deal. And I'm here to help on that. I cannot look the deal in the name of the European Union. My goal would be invite President Trump
Starting point is 00:34:52 to pay an official visit to Italy and understand if there's a possibility when he comes to organize also such a meeting with Europe. I think the best way is that we simply speak frankly about the needs that every one of us has and find ourselves in the middle. That's useful for all.
Starting point is 00:35:12 Really, somebody calls me such a Western nationalism. I don't know if it is the right word. But I'm sure that together we are stronger. And I have to find a way, I'm here to find the best way to make us both stronger on the two shores of the Atlantic. We're gonna have very little problem making a deal with Europe or anybody else because we have something that everybody wants.
Starting point is 00:35:40 You know what that means, right? We have something that everybody wants. We're gonna have very little problem. The world leaders are lining up, Doc. Yes. A week or two ago, the world was ending. Yes. The markets were crashing.
Starting point is 00:35:57 And now they're flying to D.C. Yes. To sign deals. President Trump appeared on the Hispanic channel of Fox News. I don't think he said this anywhere on English speaking channels. I haven't seen it anywhere else either, Rick. He said that they, the US government is going to give money to illegals to self-deport and then allow them to come back in legally. Yes, he said this. Yes, President Trump proposed Tuesday that illegal immigrants who self-deport would get priority consideration for legal status if they
Starting point is 00:36:40 still want to live in the US. This is what the Post is reporting. Even saying the government would provide them a plane taking cash to speed the process along. Now, just in case you're out there wondering, oh, he didn't really say that. No, no, he didn't say that. Well, here's President Trump. As you probably know, we're doing a self-deportation.
Starting point is 00:37:05 And we're going to make it comfortable for people, and we're going to work with those people to come back into our country legally. The good ones. Está funcionando el autodeportación? Well, we're starting it. We haven't started it right now. We're getting the murderers out. We have our total aim, and the very bad ones, as you can imagine, because you
Starting point is 00:37:25 have some great people that came in. But we have some very bad ones. We had 11,088 murderers. Half of them killed more than one person. These are rough, bad people. We want them out. And that's mostly our focus. But what we want to do is we're going to have a self-deportation program, which we haven't
Starting point is 00:37:45 even announced yet. I guess I'm announcing it to you. Why not, Rachel? Here it is. The only thing I haven't determined is what are we going to do. We're going to give them a stipend. We're going to give them some money and a plane ticket. And then we're going to work with them.
Starting point is 00:37:59 If they're good, if we want them back in, we're going to work with them to get them back in as quickly as we can. Doc, it's not a bad idea. It's not a bad idea. But is that what the MAGA crowd voted for? No, but they voted to get the illegals out of the country. And I don't think President Trump's going to have a hard time selling this idea, saying, hey, the judges are fighting us. So we're just going to pay them a leave.
Starting point is 00:38:29 Now what are the judges going to do now? The people voluntarily deported themselves. We gave them some money, we bought their plane ticket, and away they went. And no judge can do anything about it. Right. Honestly, Doc, it's a pretty smart in run around the judges. What do you think about the return policy? They ain't coming back. Once they're gone, they're gone?
Starting point is 00:38:56 Is that what you're thinking? They're not coming back. Nope, they're not coming back. He just said you would have favorable, you'd get priority status over others trying to come back. That's all he said. They didn't say you get to come back. It's just like we'll look upon you favorably if you left the country on good terms. In other words, if we have to come and get you, if ICE agents have to come and get you and haul you across the border, you're marked a prison. No, you're going well, depending on what your condition, if you have a criminal record.
Starting point is 00:39:38 But a non-criminal illegal criminal here. A non-criminal criminal? here. A non-criminal criminal? Yeah. You know, a peaceful criminal. Somebody's in the country illegally, you're a criminal, okay? Even if you're a nice, good person, you're still a criminal. You broke the law.
Starting point is 00:40:00 You know, he's just trying to get these people to go home. And he's a bottom plane ticket and give them some cash and you're on your way because if they stay then they get treated as Bad criminals and that's that's that's the message is sending Leave as a good criminal on your own Don't make us take you home as a bad criminal because then you'll never come back in. You don't think this is some backdoor effort to try to get these folks back in under workers permits or something like that? Some of them, some of them. Farmers need them, yeah, some of them. And I
Starting point is 00:40:42 don't have a problem with that. The issue has always been the legality. Most of the immigrants here are wonderful people. Oh, I don't disagree. You know, we interact with them all the time. There's so many here you just you don't even deal with asking, are you here legally? You just assume no they're not. Okay. But Rick, if you've been here 10, 15, 20 years, you've had an opportunity to assimilate and to become a citizen. Yes. Well, you don't become a citizen unless you came in legally. Right. So you'd have to go admit that you came here illegally. And they're not going to do that.
Starting point is 00:41:29 legally. And they're not going to do that. I don't know what is happening in other states you've seen it, I've seen it. Places here in Florida that should be busy. Busy, busy, busy. Are not busy and that's and I was thinking about this yesterday, Doc, did all the, did all of our Canadian friends go home early? I noticed last night there was no traffic. I'm usually in traffic trying to go home. The road was wide open, and I'm thinking, man, there's a lot of people that have left. Like suddenly they've left. Resurrection Day is late this year. That's part of it.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Usually they wait till Resurrection Day to go back to Quebec and everything. It seems like it was weeks earlier this year. It does. Plus with the migrants leaving. I'm just noticing, because see here in Vero Beach, we have two populations.
Starting point is 00:42:25 We have the off season and the season population. And during the winter is our highest level of a population in this area because of so many people who come to spend the winters. But it just seemed like everybody cleared out on one day. It's just like, everybody's gone. I was like, what's going on? Is something happening I didn't know about?
Starting point is 00:42:50 Yeah, and a large number of Canadians own property all through this part of Florida. I mean, there are entire communities out by the Inland Lakes and everything. Half the population is Canadian. Hey, and I want to say to our Canadian friends, because I've had Canadian supporters for 26 years. I mean, going back to the day when I was on shortwave radio, we love you. Please do not think anything negatively
Starting point is 00:43:24 because of what is going on between our two governments. I don't like it. I wish it wasn't happening. We love our Canadian brothers and sisters, and we want you to feel welcome. And I know here in Florida, Floridians love and welcome the Canadians to come visit. We may make jokes about the traffic and standing in line at restaurants and everything, but we're glad. We love having Canadians come and visit us every year.
Starting point is 00:43:54 So I hope you spread that around in Canada that the Americans still love the Canadians. And I think the Canadians still love the Americans. It's just governments, okay? Governments fight. Speaking of fighting, Wall Street Journal, President Trump lashes out at Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, says his termination cannot come fast enough. That's right. President Trump lashed out at Federal Reserve Chief Jerome Powell in a post
Starting point is 00:44:26 on social media Thursday hinting that the, potentially dismissing the central bank leader one day after Chairman Powell warned that the Fed could face a difficult trade-off as tariffs raise prices and weaken the economy. President Trump had this to say, Powell's termination cannot come fast enough. President Trump said Powell is always too late and wrong and should be cutting interest rates alongside other central banks. Now he can't fire the Federal Reserve Chairman. But he can ask him to resign. He can, but Mr. Powell doesn't have to resign, but his term, he's got about another year
Starting point is 00:45:03 and a half on his term it runs out sometime in 2026. However Mr. Trump said if I tell him to go he'll go. Yes. Just watch. On Jerome Powell you said that the termination of Jerome Powell did not come fast enough. He says he won't leave even if you ask him to. Oh he'll leave if I ask him to he'll be out of there but I don't think he's I don't think he I don't think he's doing the job he's too late always too late little slow and I'm not happy with him I let him know it and if I want him out he'll be out of there real fast, believe me. Hey Rick, who is the Federal Reserve's only customer?
Starting point is 00:45:49 City bank? The Rockefellers? It's supposed to serve the US government, right? No, no they're not. You know that and I know that. But it was never created to serve the federal government. It's neither federal nor a reserve. That's right. It's a privately owned bank.
Starting point is 00:46:14 Mr. Trump had something to say about former President Joe Biden, who lashed out at President Trump a few days ago, came out of his retirement retirement and it was pathetic. Oh, if you see a doc, it was pathetic. It was sad. Some of it sad, pathetic. Anyhow, President Trump had something to say about Joe Biden today. We're useless.
Starting point is 00:46:36 They were incompetent. Worst administration in the history of our country. Worse than Jimmy Carter. Jimmy Carter died a happy man. You know why? Because he wasn't the worst president. Joe Biden was. So I think you're going to see some fantastic numbers when this all happens.
Starting point is 00:46:55 It's happening now. I mean, everybody wants to make a deal. Jimmy Carter died a happy man. When I heard that clip, I started laughing and crying. So, you've got to hand it to Donald Trump. He comes up with some zingers. Hiller-Pelsey Yes, he does. Russia today, a lot of nations are seeking to derail the U.S.-Russia peace talks. Moser Yes, that's right. Numerous foreign actors appear
Starting point is 00:47:20 to be attempting to sabotage the dialogue between Moscow and Washington. That's coming from Russian President Vladimir Putin's investment envoy, Karel Dmitriev. Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Dmitriev weighed in on his talks with U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, in St. Petersburg last week, which focused on finding a settlement to the Ukraine conflict. Dmitriev called the negotiations extremely productive. That's a good sign there. But claim that third parties are trying to impede progress. A lot of people, structures, and countries
Starting point is 00:47:53 are trying to disrupt our dialogue with the United States. There is a very active propaganda campaign against Russia in the United States through various media. So it's very important to communicate Russia's position directly. And this has certainly been done, he noted. There is a very useful dialogue going on. These are great words to hear. It's certainly going on in very difficult conditions,
Starting point is 00:48:18 constant attacks and constant misinformation, he said. Asked whether the sides have progressed, the envoy replied, time will tell. Yes. I want to remind everybody, of course, this is Sunday's Resurrection Day, and we are offering this week, and we'll continue to offer it for weeks to come, a very special offer, a Christian cross made with spikes. The spikes represent the spikes that were driven into the hands and feet of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 00:48:58 You can't look at this cross and not think of the pain He suffered. You look at these spikes and think about them going into your flesh, into your bones, and you'll comprehend the depth of the pain that He suffered for us, for my sin, for your sins, that we would be forgiven and be given eternal life, and to have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in this life. And we are, this is our thank you gift to those who are giving and offering of $500 to Faith and Values Fellowship for the support, for the work of this ministry to teach the Word of God, to lead people to the cross. That's the only purpose for a church. It is to lead people to the cross
Starting point is 00:49:50 and to build and mold disciples of those who have gotten saved. And we are, as a ministry, we are rededicating ourselves, going back to our original mission, and what a better way to commemorate this transformation in this ministry. And so your cross can be reserved for you. We're having more made. The response has been, I'm not going to say unbelievable, that's a word of unbelief. The response has been unbelievable. The response has been believable. It's been what we've hoped for, what we prayed for.
Starting point is 00:50:32 It has been overwhelmingly positive. And so has been the response to my letter and email. It's been overwhelmingly positive. And that has just brought freedom to my soul, and I am deeply grateful. So to stand with us, we're asking you to make an offering of $500 to the work of the Lord, and you can go to truenews.com or faithandvalues.com and make the gift there, or you can call the number 800-576-2116 or send a check or money order to post office box 399.

He's going to be pounding nails here at his blacksmith shop. He's going to be busy for quite some time, and he's delighted also, because he loves true news, he loves this ministry, he loves what we do as Faith and Values Fellowship. And I'm believing this is going to open up amazing opportunities for him, too.
Starting point is 00:51:52 I really believe that. People are going to really appreciate the artistry of his work. We've known it for years, but these crosses are absolutely just beautiful. Doc, I keep telling him, you're not a blacksmith, you're an artist. Yes, you're a metal artist. Yes. He uses blacksmith skills, but he's an artist.
Starting point is 00:52:14 He's given me and Susan things that are just stunning. One of my favorite things he gave us was what he called a Camaro rose. Yes, I got one of those too. It's a metal rose with a rose stem, but it's made from a Camaro car. Yes, from the hood of a Camaro car. It is beautiful. And it looks, you walk up to it, you think it's a real rose. This man is an artist, and the Lord has given him a gift, and so this is a very unique piece
Starting point is 00:52:52 of religious art that will be in your home or office, and this is a great gift. Some people are buying these to give to loved ones for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas coming up later this year, it is a very unique piece of religious art. And it will bless anybody that you give one to. So go to truenews.com or faithandvalues.com and make your offering. You'll get in line. He's making them as rapidly as possible. But when you put them together, especially a dog and a child, you've got a great video. And so this video, here's the headline, from KETV, Channel 7 in Omaha, but this actually
Starting point is 00:55:20 happened in Arizona. This is an Omaha TV station reporting on it. It happened in Arizona. This is Omaha TV station reporting on it. It happened in Arizona. A two-year-old boy wandered away from home at night. Here you see the little rascal. A cute little guy. And he wandered away from home at night and walked miles in the desert. But made friends with that dog. and spent the night with that dog. And in the morning, the rancher found them together. Let's watch.
Starting point is 00:55:51 Here's the report from KETV channel seven, Omaha. The high desert of Northern Arizona is unforgivable, especially overnight when temperatures drop and predators come out. There were even two mountain lions spotted during the search last night. These conditions are what two-year-old Bowden Allen faced when he walked off his parents' property Monday and into the Northern Arizona high desert.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Yavapai County search and rescue teams jumped into action, but Megan Fitzgerald with the Sheriff's Office says cases like this don't usually turn out like they'd hoped. ... where the child was safe and located. But it was the four-legged loyal ranch dog, Buford, who found Bowdoin the next morning, seven miles from home. Going down the driveway, then my dog was sitting down there with the little kid, just brought
Starting point is 00:56:39 him up from the horse pasture and brought him over to the gate and was just hanging out with him. His owner, Scotty Dutton, says the only explanation he can think of is Bowdoin followed the power line all the way to his property. You walk all night and he goes no. I slept under a tree and I said,
Starting point is 00:56:55 will do my dog find you and he said yep. Power line lines out right to his house. Seven miles away so the Sheriff's Office says they can't explain how the two year old walked seven miles seven miles but the relieved he was found safe and in good spirits. As for Buford he's back to work tonight but not without a little reward. Oh he's getting steak dinner tonight my wife already said yeah no he he did a great job. Great job Buford. What would you expect? I really wanted to say that.
Starting point is 00:57:26 Great job, Buford. What would you expect from a dog named Buford? That's right. That's a great story, Rick. Upstanding dog. And he found a little boy and stayed with him. But seven miles, Rick. That's a long distance. I can't walk seven miles.
Starting point is 00:57:43 In the desert. In the desert at night. They're coyotes in the desert. Well thank God the Lord protected that little boy and he's safe. All right, that's it for today. We're in the 11th chapter and today we're in verses 13 through 21. Let's pray.
Starting point is 01:00:02 Invite the Holy Spirit and then Doc will read the Word of God and we'll begin our lesson. Almighty God, the one true God who created the universe, we worship you, Father. You are the creator and you are our Papa. Father, we love you dearly, and we love your dearly and we love your Son and we love your Holy Spirit. Father, we ask for the Holy Spirit's presence in this morning man of Bible study to illuminate us, enlighten us, strengthen us in the knowledge of your Word, which would give us knowledge of your Son. In the name of Jesus Christ, which would give us knowledge of your son.
Starting point is 01:00:46 In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray, amen. Amen. And good morning, everyone. Welcome to those of you from around the world, Russia, Philippines, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Brazil. Welcome to morning man and across the US and Canada as well. God bless you. Thanks for being here today. Open up your
Starting point is 01:01:05 Bibles, if you will, to Romans chapter 11. We'll be reading verses 13 through 21. And I always encourage you, be sure to read along with us. And I'm not a stickler on having a printed Bible. You can use an app. You can use your laptop, whatever it is, whatever is convenient for you. But I encourage you, when we're studying the Word, let's read the Word together. Allow the Word to get into you. You know, don't just let me read it to you, but you read along with me here. And it might even help. It helps me, and this is just advice from an old preacher, it helps me to read the Word
Starting point is 01:01:42 out loud. And so that's why I'm always privileged to read the word. And so I encourage you to do the same thing. Read the word out loud. You want to know, somebody asked me one time, does God still speak? Yes, if you read his word out loud, you're going to hear him speak to you.
Starting point is 01:02:00 So Romans chapter 11, verses 13 through 21, let's read together. I'm reading from the King James, for I speak to you Gentiles inasmuch as I am an apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify my office. If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are of my flesh, it might save some of them. For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be but life from the dead? For if the first fruit be holy, the lump is also
Starting point is 01:02:33 holy. And if the root be holy, so are the branches. And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou being a wild olive tree were grafted in among them and with them partake est of the root and fatness of the olive tree. Bost not against the branches you Gentiles but if thou boast thou bears not the root but the root thee. Thou will say then the branches were broken off that I might be grafted in. Well, because of unbelief they were broken off and thou standest by faith be not high minded but fear. Verse 21, listen to this for God spared not the natural branches take heed lest he also spare not thee. God bless the reading of his word today.
Starting point is 01:03:28 Verse 13, for I speak to you Gentiles, in as much as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office. So Paul is now shifting the focus of his message. He clearly identifies in his letter, he says, for I'm speaking to you Gentiles. I've been talking to you about the Jews, and now I'm speaking to you Gentiles. He says, I am the apostle of the Gentiles. He affirms this role.
Starting point is 01:04:10 I am the apostle of the Gentiles. Notice he didn't say I'm the apostle to my fellow Jews. Paul knew his assignment. Yes. He was the apostle to the Gentiles. He could not let go of his Jewish people, his brethren, but according to the and says, I'm making you an ambassador to the unsaved in the Philippines. And Doc says, yes yes I will do it and Doc goes off to the Philippines
Starting point is 01:05:07 and carries out that assignment but he can't let go of his American brethren and he keeps coming back trying one more time to get him saved then he goes back to the Philippines picks up his assignment again that's what was happening with Paul. Right. He didn't neglect his assignment, which was to be the apostle to the Gentiles, but he couldn't let go of his own people, his affinity, his love for his fellow Jews. He just couldn't let go. And again, I see no place where God instructed him to get beat up by the Jews. But I believe the Lord respected him. I believe the Lord admired him. Say, I didn't tell you to do this, but you just keep going back in and getting another dose of it. For me, but there's no instruction in the Bible where God told Paul to continue to engage the Jews. He was to engage the Gentiles, but that's not a sin that he went to the Jews. That's not a sin.
Starting point is 01:06:25 But that's not a sin that he went to the Jews. That's not a sin. So he said, I am the apostle of the Gentiles. He's claiming his God-given role. Yes. He's calling to the Gentile nations. Right. In that title, if you will, that appellation that he takes on there, it says the apostle and And in the Greek, it's a particular article there. I am the apostle to the Gentiles. I'm not just an apostle, like
Starting point is 01:06:55 small a apostle. I am the capital a apostle to the Gentiles. And so, there're trying to diminish Paul, but he made it very clear. I'm the apostle to the Gentiles. I've been confirmed by the church in Jerusalem as the apostle to the Gentiles. He was the Alpha Apostle. Yes. The apostles were equal, but Paul was the chief of the equals. So even among the apostles, they recognize Paul. Yes. So he's claiming his God given assignment, his God given title, making it very clear
Starting point is 01:07:44 who he is. If you go back just yesterday, he spoke about the riches of the Gentiles, not their material wealth, but the spiritual riches that God was bestowing upon the Gentiles. His apostleship to the Gentiles is in contrast to the hardened heart of the Jewish majority. Yes. Their unbelief, their rejection of Christ. He said, I magnify mine office. He did not glorify himself. He did not magnify himself.
Starting point is 01:08:34 He glorified, he magnified the office of apostle. Yes. And the office of the chief apostle to the Gentiles The word the Greek word For Magnify Docs saddocs sadzo Yes, you got it. All right. It means to glorify to give glory
Starting point is 01:09:04 This is according to Strong's concordance to the act of giving honor and praise to God, acknowledging His majesty, His power, His divine nature, the glorification of Jesus, particularly in context of His resurrection and ascension. in context of his resurrection and ascension. It also can denote the act of honoring individuals or things that reflect God's glory. So he said, I glorify my office, my office of the chief apostle to the Gentiles. What does that mean?
Starting point is 01:09:55 He's magnifying this office that he's been appointed to by God. Right. You see, this is no little thing. This is big. I am the chief apostle to the Gentile nations. He's speaking about the zeal, his zeal to take the gospel to the Gentiles. He knows he's got beautiful feet. Yes, and that it's a God calling. It's not a choice that he's making. It's not a career move. It's not an advancement in his job. No, this is a God calling on Paul. And he, you know, of course,
Starting point is 01:10:43 he's made the case up to that point but now he's telling the Gentiles specifically, I'm giving you this message. I'm been confirmed by the church as the apostle to the Gentiles. I recognize that this is a God-called position that I'm in right now. Now I have a message for you Gentiles and he gets ready to deliver this very important message directed straight to the Gentiles. Amen. And we get to verse 14. If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh and might save some of them. Modern English, if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and may save some of them. He's speaking of his aim to stir the Jewish people, to preach Jesus Christ crucified and
Starting point is 01:11:51 resurrected to the Jewish people, to provoke them to jealousy. to Paul was telling the Jews look God's saving the Gentiles Saying that to them to to make them jealous And you can imagine some and the crowd said how dare you say that They're unclean they're unfit They can't be saved. Exhibiting their jealousy there. Yes. And God said not only is he saving them, he's filling them with his Holy Spirit. He's giving them something we Jews have never experienced in thousands of years. The indwelling
Starting point is 01:12:44 of the Holy Spirit. See, that's the prize, that's the promise, that's the inheritance, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the promise. The Holy Spirit is the promise God gave to Abraham, but the Holy Spirit, God's Spirit in you. And he's telling them, not only is he bringing them into Israel, making them citizens, he's giving them eternal life, he's filling them with his Holy Spirit, and they're going throughout all the world talking about the God of Israel.
Starting point is 01:13:24 going throughout all the world talking about the God of Israel. Yes. And they're also talking about how you rejected him and nailed him to the cross. So those words were provoking the Jews, and it provoked them to pick up rocks. And isn't it interesting today that even in today's world that if you emphasize those things, those what are normally aligned with Jewish ideas and Jewish values, that's what they'll attack. That's what they'll go after. They're still provoked to jealousy to this day.
Starting point is 01:14:07 Go to Jerusalem today and stand on the street corner and say those things. They'll spit on you. Go to South Florida and say it. Go to Boca Raton, Florida. Go to Fort Lauderdale. I mean, you can't say it today in America without being attacked. Right. Go to John Hagee's church and say it. He'd have you escorted out.
Starting point is 01:14:41 Can't even say it in Christian Zionist churches. Obviously when he said them them which are my flesh, he's talking about his kinship with the Jews. Paul clearly identified with his Jewish brother and he never denied his Jewish heritage, embraced it, always identified himself as a Jew who believed in Jesus Christ. My flesh, he's speaking about the covenant ties. covenant ties. Then he said, and might save some of them. Not all. Some. Might. That's not even the word might implies this is not even guaranteed that some will be saved. Right. That's got to drive dispensational folks nuts.
Starting point is 01:15:51 I know Doc. See it contradicts their eschatology. Because they say all of Israel will be saved. Well, wait a minute, Paul said God might save possibly, maybe save some of them. Paul wasn't deluded, he wasn't deceived, he wasn't thinking, man, when John Nelson Darby comes along someday, thousands of years from now, you know, 1800 years from now, he's going to come up with this concept that all the Jews are going to be saved at the last day. Now, Paul said, my hope is that God might save some of my Jewish brothers and sisters. He was willing to be beat up in prison, stoned
Starting point is 01:16:53 for the possibility that a minority of the Jews would be saved. He didn't even have a guarantee that any of them would be saved. Some implies partial success. Some implies a remnant. We go back, remember chapter 10, verse 16, not all obeyed. That's the majority. The ones that obeyed, that's the some.
Starting point is 01:17:23 Yeah, those are the majority. The ones that obeyed, that's the sum. Yeah, those are the elect. Those are the elect among the Jews. So the Christian church recognizes the call from God to be persistent and to be aware of the hardening of the Jews' hearts, but not to be angry and not to write them off. Yes. And we're going to see this here in these verses. Verse 15, for if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be but life from the dead? He's preaching a sermon there. Oh, yeah. He uses the
Starting point is 01:18:35 Greek word for casting casting them away the greek word for casting this is apobole I get it right down. Good. Yeah, I get I get a cookie today. You do All right apobole. I get it. I get it. That's the kind I got now I'll say it 12 times and get a dozen cookies. All right Strong's concordance describes apple bole as this, to denote the act of rejection or the state of being cast away, a sense of loss or being discarded in a spiritual or relational context.
Starting point is 01:19:29 discarded in a spiritual or relational context. In the New Testament, it's used to describe the rejection of Israel in the context of God's redemptive plan. The temporary nature of this rejection and the hope of eventual restoration. You see, it's just a hope. Yes. So Paul said, for if the rejection of the Jews, the casting away, the temporary rejection, see, the temporary rejection of the Jews. If it results in the reconciliation of the world, meaning the Gentile nations,
Starting point is 01:20:20 what shall the receiving of them, the Jews, be? What's life from the dead. Yes, so as much of a blessing as it is with the rejection of the covenant people who did not follow the covenant, as much of a blessing as that, how much more of a blessing would it be if they got saved? Yes, it would what it would be like that it would be like the dead coming back to life. Yes. So he's declaring them spiritually dead. They're going to be spiritually resurrected someday. Some of them, there's a hope that some, a remnant would be spiritually resurrected. What shall the receiving of them be?
Starting point is 01:21:11 Paul's envisioning the spiritual restoration of some of the Jewish people. We're gonna get later in this chapter, verse 26, all Israel shall be saved. Well, how does this line up with some? The word acceptance. The Greek word is pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros… pros... pros... pros... pros...
Starting point is 01:21:46 pros... pros... pros... pros... pros... pros... pros... pros...
Starting point is 01:21:54 pros... pros... pros... pros... pros... pros... pros... pros...
Starting point is 01:22:02 pros... pros... pros... pros... pros... pros... pros... That, according to Strong's, refers to the act of receiving or accepting someone or something. It conveys the idea of welcoming or taking in with favor. So it's used in the New Testament in the context of interpersonal relationships within the Christian community. So receiving acceptance implies Israel's return to faith, the Jewish people's return to the faith.
Starting point is 01:22:40 But mind you, Paul says, the hope that some, some will be saved. Nowhere in here does it say, before Christ comes back, there's gonna be a resurrected, restored state of Israel and all the Jews there are gonna get saved. It doesn't say this at all. Why do they have to be in Palestine? Why do they have to be in Palestine?
Starting point is 01:23:00 Why can't they be in Florida? Why can't they be in Paris? You would think, you would think Rick, if that was that big of a deal, it would be all over the New Testament, right? Yes. But what is all over the New Testament? The redemption of God's covenant people. Yes. That's all over the New Testament. Yes.
Starting point is 01:23:23 But not real estate. I mean, shortly after, let's see, Doc, 70 AD, was that before or after Paul wrote Romans? It was after. 70 AD was after Romans was written. Okay. So the temple hadn't been destroyed yet. None of that had occurred yet when Paul wrote Romans. Okay. So it just a few years ahead, Almighty God sent the Roman army to Jerusalem and utterly destroyed the city and the temple and dispersed what few survivors of Jews So just a few something like one and a half million were slaughtered by the Romans Only a few escaped a remnant escaped. Yes How do the Christian Zionists explain that? An anti-Semitic attack? It was God's judgment for crucifying His Son, which Jesus prophesied, called about,
Starting point is 01:24:41 and yet they'll take that same passage where it talks about Jesus prophesying about the upcoming destruction of Jerusalem and everything as something that's going to be flung off far into the future. Yes. But no, it's occurred. That's down the road. So when we're talking about the covenant people, the Jews, Paul is still in the context. There's a Jerusalem, there's a temple, they're still doing sacrifices down at the temple. All these things are still going on at this time. And yet Paul is still saying these things, that the God, I'm the apostle to the Gentiles, God has opened the door to the Gentiles, God has set aside those covenant people who don't believe the covenant for the blessing of the Gentiles. But how much more would it be? How much more of a blessing would it be if God's covenant people obeyed the covenant
Starting point is 01:25:46 and believed by faith? So I, you know, I'm just encouraged by this. Paul's passion for his people was not diminished by his calling to the Gentiles. Amen. Amen. You know, Doc, when Jesus prophesied that the temple would be destroyed, not one stone left unturned. When he answered the questions in Matthew 24 about the end of the age, he talked about Jerusalem being encircled by armies. That's when you flee. What the defiant Jews, the Pharisees, the Sadducees, the Heresies, you know, and the Herodians, what they didn't anticipate was the man that they were plotting to murder was going to come back to life and lead the Roman army to Jerusalem and destroy the city and the temple.
Starting point is 01:26:56 That thought obviously was beyond their comprehension. Right. Who do you think led the... Yeah, I just want to talk to the Christian scientists. Who do you think led the Roman army to Jerusalem? You know, the Lord Jesus on a horse. Hey, you see those people right there? They're the ones that crucified me. Turn that city upside down. And that's exactly what they did.
Starting point is 01:27:28 Jerusalem. Well, that's not that's not being Christ like Jesus. You're not being Christ like. That's what I could hear modern American Christian that's not being Christ like you should have forgave them, Jesus. He did. He said, I forgive them. They don't know what they're doing. But he also tore the temple down. And turned every stone under. Yes. Every stone. Every stone turned under. Yes. There was no more city.
Starting point is 01:28:07 There was no more Jerusalem. Jerusalem ceased to exist. For a long time. Yes. And it didn't exist, it's still buried. To this day, it is still buried. That is not Jerusalem. Yes.
Starting point is 01:28:31 What is it? Alealiyah, Capitoline? Capitoline is what the Roman name was when Hadrian rebuilt it. And so, and he didn't pick up the stone. He built Jerusalem. He built a Roman city. He didn't say, hey, we got to get all these rocks and stones put back up and put build the wall. No, they covered it up and they built a city on top of it. And it wasn't until the time of Constantine when they started doing all the tourist trips to Jerusalem, Constantine's mom, that they started calling it the Holy City again and started calling it Jerusalem, and they set up all the tourist sites all over this new made up city. Folks, that's the reality of the situation.
Starting point is 01:29:12 Yes. And her son was a Roman emperor. Yes. And they got a good tourist trade going. So Paul speaks about the life from the dead. He's envisioning a transformation somewhere in the future, a resurrection like renewal of some of the Jewish people. And when they come to Christ, it's going to be like the dead coming back to life. I look forward to that.
Starting point is 01:29:54 I hope I see it. I would love to see it. Rick, every eye will see. You will see. Well, yes, I'll see Jesus, but I'm talking about, I would like to see a widespread a movement among the Jews to believe on the name of Jesus. Amen. I would be delighted. I absolutely would be delighted. Verse 16,
Starting point is 01:30:24 I absolutely would be delighted. Verse 16, for if the first fruit be holy, the lump is also holy, and if the root be holy, so are the branches. First fruits. I think, Doc, he's referring to the patriarchs or the remnant of the Jews. How would you explain this? For if the first fruit be holy, the lump is also holy. Well, I guess when you think about it, it talks about that lump. It talks about that lump. Before the priest, the priest used to offer a lump of dough in the heave offering to be blessed.
Starting point is 01:31:15 And it could be waved or heaved that the priest itself gives. So I'm wondering if he's referring to the faithful Jews here. Yes, I think that's really he's saying the Jews that are saved, the first fruit, then they make the lump. The lump is composed of the unbelieving Jews. lump is composed of the unbelieving Jews. I don't think he's referring to Jesus and the resurrection, but I could be wrong on that. Because when he talks about the lump, he's definitely referring back to the offerings back in the Pentateuch. And so, in the Pentateuch. And so, there's something to really think about here. And I'm gonna think about it later
Starting point is 01:32:15 because I don't really know the answer. And I don't have a problem saying that on the lesson. It's one of those things where I gotta go back and study. Romans 17, and if some of the branches be broken off, and now being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them partaketh of the root and the fatness of the olive tree.
Starting point is 01:32:42 Hey, let's do this in modern English. When's the last time you used the word wort? But if some of the branches were broken off and you being a wild olive were grafted in among them and became a partaker of them of the root and of the richness of the olive tree. So the branches broken off, those are the Jews who were removed from Israel because of the rejection of Jesus. The branches were broken off. The Jews want you to believe that they are the vine, they are the tree.
Starting point is 01:33:27 Yes. They're a branch. Jesus Christ is the vine. And only believing Jews are branches. Right. And so he broke off dead branches because of their rejection of Christ, the hardening of their hearts, their disobedience. He says, if some of the branches were broken off,
Starting point is 01:33:56 not all, right, some. He's talking about the holy olive tree, the people of God. It's not the state of Israel. See, the Christian Zionists want to teach you, oh, that means the state of Israel. No, it doesn't. Holy olive tree is Christ. Yes. Christ is the olive tree.
Starting point is 01:34:25 Always replacing Jesus with the state of Israel. Yeah. So some dead branches were broken, some dead branches were broken off the tree. So the pruning was done selectively. And wild olive, you being a wild olive tree, he's talking about us, Talking about the Gentiles. We we partake. Okay. And you church was Jewish. The church in Jerusalem was Jewish. The Gentiles who believed were grafted into the church. The church in Jerusalem was Israel. God didn't abolish Israel, he just removed certain members and brought new members in.
Starting point is 01:35:59 Yes. So wild olive trees were grafted in. It's describing us as a tree, but grafted into the real tree. Doc, do you know how to graft trees? No, but my neighbor does. My neighbor works for the Florida State Department of Agriculture and he comes over to my house and he actually grafts some of his plants and stuff into our trees. He's trying some new things like he's trying to grow some limes on a lemon tree that we have right now. It's really fascinating the process that goes about in grafting,
Starting point is 01:36:50 another branch into a tree. You have to cut into the original tree. In essence, it's bleeding. You take that grafted branch or that lime into the lemon tree and you have to wrap it in if you will swaddling clothes or you have to wrap it like a dead person and so in order to protect it. But it's interesting, Spencer, he's my neighbor, told me that usually the grafting will take hold within three days.
Starting point is 01:37:32 That's interesting. That's interesting. That's interesting, Spencer. Especially at Resurrection Day. Yeah. So he's shown me quite a bit about grafting and everything. It really is fascinating. You know, some are rejected. Why? Because they wouldn't adapt to the root.
Starting point is 01:37:56 Yes. But those that adapt to the root survive and thrive. You're taking a branch that does not belong on another branch. Yes. On another tree trunk. It doesn't belong there, but you graft it in and sometimes it holds, not always. And now that wild branch has become part of the original branch or trunk. And I'll add this too, before he grafts, he actually trims the original tree. And the reason being, he takes off all those dead branches and even prunes some of the live branches.
Starting point is 01:38:43 So he breaks off the dead branches and even prune some of the live branches. So he breaks off the dead branches, right? And he prunes some of the live branches in order to encourage the root to accept the grafted branch that brings up more sap to respond to, you know, the trimming, the, you know uh the trimming the you know the pruning that's taken place and so by doing by pruning the rest of the tree it allows the grafted branch to grow so there's a if you can imagine if you can imagine a tree and that tree represents israel again get out of your mind that it is the political state of Israel. Biblically, Israel means the people of God who love God, who serve God, who have faith
Starting point is 01:39:35 in him like Abraham. That's Israel. It's not Jewish, it's not, it's that's Israel, the people of God. So that tree has some dead branches on it. Right. The gardener breaks off the dead branches, then goes over in the yard and gets a wild tree and takes some branches gets a wild tree and takes some branches off that wild tree.
Starting point is 01:40:09 Yes. Comes over to the main tree. He's named this tree Israel. Right. And he graphs those wild branches into his tree called Israel. Yes. Meanwhile, these dead branches have been removed.
Starting point is 01:40:24 Yes. But what is the branches have been removed. Yes. But what is the main tree? The people of God. Yes. Going back to Abraham, going back to Methuselah, going back to the beginning of mankind, those who love God and obey Him, they are Israel. Yes. And one other thing to point out about that, Rick, is
Starting point is 01:40:45 that, let's say you have an orange tree and you graft in a lime branch. The lime branch doesn't become an orange now. It remains a lime. It is. Right. It's distinguished from the other branches. But now they share the same root, the same, you know, same stock, if you will. But it remains a lime. And the oranges remain oranges. You know, they're all the same tree.
Starting point is 01:41:15 Right. There are people today who tell you, well, you have to become an orange. Right. Or you're going to be rejected. It's just not true. So Paul makes a great analogy here. You really stop and think about it. And they did this, you know, this isn't something new that we just invented here a hundred years ago or something. I mean, they were doing this. We probably have olive trees standing in the Middle East today that were around when Paul
Starting point is 01:41:44 was around that were probably when Paul was around, that were probably grafted in from other olive trees. He observed it, he saw it. Maybe he was writing it and looked out a window and saw an arborist out there grafting a branch into a tree, and wrote this down. He said, I got a picture for you here. Look at this. But listen to verse 18. Boasts not against the branches.
Starting point is 01:42:11 Yes. But if you boast, remember that it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you. This is a stern warning to Gentiles against spiritual pride over the Jews. Don't get smug. Don't develop a superiority attitude. You were the wild branch that was grafted in. Brother, you are not the root. That's right and if he if he broke off the branches of the original tree to unbelieving, disobedient Israel. But the church is being cautioned to avoid
Starting point is 01:43:15 disdain, bitterness, the wrong attitude towards the Jewish people. Right. He said, if you boast, you bear not the root. And so he's reminding us, you're just a branch. Not only are you a branch, but you didn't even belong on this tree. That's right.
Starting point is 01:43:44 Don't think you're the root just because you've been grafted in. Yes. So be humble and remember where you came from. Yes. Okay, old country saying, don't forget your raisins. How we raised you, just't forget your raisins. How we raised, just remember where you came from.
Starting point is 01:44:08 Had heard that. Yeah, I know. That's an old one, isn't it? Don't forget your raisins. That's not raisins like dried grapes. Don't forget how you were raised. Verse 19. You will then you will say then branches were broken off
Starting point is 01:44:27 that I might be grafted in. He's anticipating what some Gentiles will say. Yeah, as if to say that it might be possible for some Gentile to claim that they have a special place now, that now they're being substituted for the Jews, the Jews don't count anymore. In other words, the reason God broke the branches off and got rid of those branches
Starting point is 01:44:54 was to make room for these wild olive branches. So no, don't get that attitude. He broke them off because they were dead. Yes. And if your branch is dead, guess what he's gonna do to you? Gonna break you off. And keep yourself moist and leafy and fruity.
Starting point is 01:45:23 Doc, be fruity today. I will. Be leafy and fruity. Talk be fruity today. I will. Be leafy and fruity. Okay. Be fruity. Be fruity. You want the Lord to see fruit, at least buds. You know, if he sees a bud,
Starting point is 01:45:43 he'll give more time. Right. Yeah, there's something happening there. He's got a bud. Let's see what comes from that. The phrase that I might be grafted in. The Gentiles seeing their inclusion almost as a right. Yes.
Starting point is 01:46:07 An entitlement. No, none of us Jew or Gentile entitled to salvation. It's all by grace. It's a gift. Verse 20. Well, because of unbelief, they were broken off. And thou standest by faith, be not high-minded, but fear. Modern English, true.
Starting point is 01:46:40 By their unbelief, they were broken off. And you stand by your faith, so don't be conceited but fear. Right. All the branches exist on the root by faith. All of them. And that they got broken off is because they were without faith.
Starting point is 01:46:59 Yes. They were in unbelief. What gets you broken off? Long-term, persistent unbelief. What gets you broken off? Long-term persistent unbelief. A hardening. What do you do when you're checking a tree looks, you know, you got a young tree that you planted and you look at it one day and you go, I don't know if that thing's alive. Yeah. What do you do?
Starting point is 01:47:30 You take a twig and you see if you can snap it. If it bends, it's got life in it. Yes. But if it snaps like a toothpick, it's dead. Yes. But if it snaps like a toothpick, it's dead. Yes. And Mia taught me this about trees, Rick, because she's got a green thumb, in that if you do have flexibility in that branch, you cut the very end of it off. Yeah. And what does that do? That stimulates the flow of sap into that branch to heal that where it was cut and brings life, more life back to the branch.
Starting point is 01:48:16 And there's a spiritual application there. You know, we constantly need pruning if we're not showing any fruit. If we have no fruit at all and that whole branch is dead, she just snaps it off. And it snaps off on its own. You don't have to force it or anything because it's dead, it's dry, it's brittle, it just breaks off. Don't become dead, dry, and brittle, folks. I need Mia to come over to my house someday and give me some lessons. Cause I don't give enough attention to my fruit trees. Oh, she loves her yard. They're neglected.
Starting point is 01:48:50 They are neglected trees. I hate to say that, but there's only so many hours in the day. But yeah, that's an interesting method. So he said, Paul said, because of unbelief, they were broken off. Did he list 10, 15 sins? No. Well, because they smoked cigarettes. They smoked big old stogies, stinking cigars, and God broke them off. They don't change their underwear for four days. Lord have mercy. Okay, but do you see, Paul didn't list a long list of things that people would say, well, that's wrong. He didn't have a litany of religious offenses.
Starting point is 01:49:51 One reason they were broken off, unbelief. That's it right there. One, unbelief. They did not believe the word of God. That's simple. They did not believe the word of God. That's what gets people broken off. Why? Because they become lifeless and then they harden and they don't produce fruit. And there's no point in having them there. Yes.
Starting point is 01:50:29 So Paul is he's he's he's advising the Gentiles, you know, just keep your attitude humble. Humble Um Don't don't get cocky. Don't think you're somebody special Uh, the the gardener can break off any branch he wants to break off But i'll give you a clue The dead branches that got broken off It was because of unbelief Yes That should tell you. Don't be afraid about, I'm not encouraging sin, God forbid, but don't have this fear, oh I committed this sin, I'm going to be broken
Starting point is 01:51:16 off. It's not in here. It's unbelief. It's unbelief that gets you broken off. Yes. Not one time, not a moment, a momentary unbelief. It's long-term persistent deepening unbelief. A rebellious unbelief. A stiffening of the neck. The hardening of the heart. That says, you will not make me believe, believe the word of God. Yes.
Starting point is 01:51:50 If you don't believe the word of God, you don't believe Jesus. He is the word. And that's what happened to the Jews. They rejected him. Most of them. Paul said, and thou standeth by faith. He's talking about the grafting. You're standing on this tree by faith. That's how you got here. Your faith got you here. You got grafted in by faith.
Starting point is 01:52:26 And your unbelief will take you out. And unbelief will take you out. So Mr. and Mrs. Wild Olive Branch, stay in belief and faith and hear the Word of God and believe it. Yes. Did your dad ever say to you when you were a kid, Rick, I brought you into the world, this world, I can take you out. God has that attitude about the wild olive branches. I grafted you into this tree. I can ungrant you real quick. That's right. And what's the glue that's holding you on to the branch onto the tree? Faith glue. It's the super glue. Faith glue. You're stuck on the tree by faith. If you can get that in your mind, got it made you got to have faith glue
Starting point is 01:53:26 As long as you got faith glue you're stuck on that tree Not because you're not going to be broken off because of mistakes You're going to be broken off because you stopped having faith Over a persistent long time where you became dead. You persistently rejected the Holy Spirit. You persistently hardened your heart against the Lord dealing with your life. One more, verse 21. For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed, lest he also spare not thee.
Starting point is 01:54:19 There you go, there's your dad. That's where he said, if I brought you into this world, I'll take you out. If God didn't spare the natural branches, meaning the Jewish Israel, because they didn't believe, he judged them for rejecting faith. Yes. And he's saying, God plays no favorites. If he's willing to take out his chosen people, what's he going to do with the Gentiles?
Starting point is 01:54:58 If you get out of them, if you become like them, rebellious, unbelieving, what do you think is going to happen to you? So I thought that once I confess Christ I was in. You are as long as you have sticky glue on you, faith. See we don't teach this do we? Gotta have gotta have faith glue What was paul teaching here paul was teaching that you who were once you who are grafted in can be uncrafted Can be broken off that doesn't fit the one saved always saved doctrine No Once saved always saved is true if you remain in faith. Yes. It's not, it doesn't work if you be, if you start living in unbelief.
Starting point is 01:55:56 Right. So, Paul's saying, the bottom line, he's saying just don't get cocky. Yeah. Learn from the examples of God's covenant people, learn from their example. They were given the special blessing, they were part of the olive tree, they were to produce fruit, worthy of repentance, Jesus said. And yet, some operated in unbelief, they were broken off, and you were grafted in. You're just the same as any other branch there, okay? You're it. If you start being unfaithful and unbelieving, guess what? You get trimmed off too. You get cut off.
Starting point is 01:56:49 Yes. Remain in faith folks. Faith is the necessary ingredient to stay connected. It's just that simple. And if you keep, you keep yourself lubricated with faith and it has its stickiness, you don't have to worry about anything. That's not a permission to sin, but it's saying to you, don't have fear that if you make a mistake, you're gonna be broken off.
Starting point is 01:57:21 You're not broken off except when your life becomes persistently hardened towards God. All right, let's wrap it up here at this point, Doc, and tomorrow's Faith Friday. It is, and also— How about that? We're going to be talking about faith tomorrow. That's right and so and also the Lord's Supper tomorrow too. So be prepared for that and we invite you to join us for the Lord's Supper. If you're a confessing believer in Jesus Christ, believe God raised him from the dead and you've been baptized in water according to the scriptures in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, we invite you to participate in the Lord's
Starting point is 01:58:07 Supper and we encourage you to prepare bread and either red wine or grape juice as we commemorate the Lord's Supper. And how appropriate this week, this is Passion Week of course, and so this would be a special Lord's Supper that we'll be commemorating tomorrow. Yes. So as Rick said at the opening, if you were here early on, we've got a special letter and a special email on its way to you. You may not have received it yet, but a lot of people have already received a letter and email from us. And I encourage you to check, if you haven't received it, the email, check your spam box,
Starting point is 01:58:52 spam folder on your email client and see if it got in there because some of these wicked email servers like to think we're nothing but garbage and trash and put us in spam folders. And so I encourage you to check there, but it's a very special message from Rick. And you'll either get a letter in the mail or you'll get an email. You might get both. But Rick has, he shares his heart about the future of this ministry and we encourage you to be in prayer about it and to let us know your thoughts and feelings about it. And I'd have to say, based on the information I've received so far, overwhelming support in the vision that you're establishing for the future of the ministry, Rick.
Starting point is 01:59:36 Yes. So no prayer meeting tonight. Right. I want you to read the letter or the email and then next Thursday we will get together because our weekly prayers have actually, God has been guiding us here at this ministry and we've been getting course corrections over the recent weeks of what he desires us to do.
Starting point is 02:00:01 So we will share those things with you next Thursday in our prayer meeting. Praise God. I want everyone to have a fabulous Thursday today, a thankful Thursday today, and to enjoy the blessings of God. Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you there, Rick. You had a final thought here. No, I just said I've got a meeting coming up and I need to go soon, but let's just go ahead and close. All right. God bless you. We love you. We'll see you tomorrow on Faith Friday here on Morning Manna.
