Barron's Magazine is reporting that the United States government already has vaccines in stock for one-fifth of the American population. I'm Rick Wiles. This is True News for Monday, April 29, 2024. Doc Burkhardt is here with me. Hello, Rick. And as you see this first headline, massive amounts of vaccines needed for if there is a bird flu pandemic.

Can we make enough is the question. Of course, Doc, the pharmaceutical companies will be more than glad to make enough vaccines. And the meat of the article I want to talk about in the opening of today's True News is from Barron's magazine. It says U.S. could vaccinate a fifth of the American population in a bird flu emergency. As of right now, Doc. Yes. If they started vaccination today. They could do one fifth.

One fifth of the population. So they're going to ramp up for the production of more vaccines, which is revealed here in this Barron's Magazine article. It says, if the virus currently causing an outbreak of avian influenza among U.S. dairy cattle were to begin spreading widely among humans, the federal government says it could distribute enough vaccines within four months to inoculate a fifth of the U.S. population. So that's nearly 70 million people right there. Yes.

By May, June, July, August. By the end of summer. The end of summer. Yes. Just in time for the election. That's right. So federal officials now say that in the event of H5N1 pandemic, they would be able to supply a few hundred thousand doses within weeks,

followed by 10 million doses using the materials already on hand, and then another 125 million within four months. So people would need two doses of the shot to be fully protected, Rick. A spokesperson for the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response, the HHS division responsible for pandemics, said that if needed, the agency would work with manufacturers to ramp up production and make enough vaccine to vaccinate the entire U.S. population. But the agency didn't articulate plans beyond those 135 first million doses, which would be enough just to cover 68 million people in the country,

more than 330 million. And then Barron tells us the three pharmaceutical companies that are in line to begin production of the bird flu virus vaccines. You've got CSL, Secaris, and GSK already under contract with Health and Human Services. They're currently testing vaccines targeting a strain of avian influenza closely related to the one that's currently circulating in dairy cows around the country. Each company is running trials in roughly 500 adults. GlaxoSmithKline says it will finish collecting data next month while CSL's trials is expected to be completed by October. So if those trials show

that vaccines induce a strong immune response, they would give the U.S. capacity to quickly protect essential workers and the highest risk populations. And with enough doses to vaccinate 68 million people, the U.S. could protect health care workers, law enforcement, fire personnel, pregnant women, infants, high-risk children, deployed military, and other high-priority groups. That's according to the current CDC plan for allocating the vaccines during that next pandemic. Well, you also see in that paragraph who's going to be mandated first to be vaccinated. Right. That's telling you right there. Healthcare workers, law enforcement, fire personnel, pregnant women, infants,

high-risk children, deployed military. Yes. They're going to be first in line for what could turn out to be a bird flu vaccine mandate. Yes. By this fall. So manufacturing emergency pandemic flu vaccine would likely involve GSK, GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi, and CSL Securus. These are all foreign companies with U.S. manufacturing plants that are all suppliers of annual flu vaccine.

The companies would effectively be contractors piecing together an emergency shot at the government's behest. The completed vaccines could theoretically use components made by multiple manufacturers. Now, distributing any of the stockpiled vaccines would require some form of FDA approval. The last one didn't, but that would likely be an easy hurdle to clear. The FDA told Barron's that drug makers looking to update and approved H5N1 influenza vaccine to target a new strain would only need to go through the same process used to get approval to update a seasonal flu vaccine. So they've already got the fast track built. They had the fast track built before the vaccine was built, right? Yes. You got it now, Doc.

You get it. You just watch their behavior in one case, and you can see the template of how they're going to roll things out in the next one. Now, Rick, I'm a longtime listener of True News, and back in the early days, even when it was still America's Hope, one of the topics that you talk about on a regular basis was bird flu. I mean, every couple of years, either bird flu or swine flu, it was circulating over and over again. Are you seeing anything different this time in this particular cycle of bird flu rhetoric than you've seen in previous editions of this? There was one of the early waves in the early 2000s. It seemed like it was far more serious in their plans to roll out a mass vaccination campaign. That would have been during the years of George W. Bush.

And the pandemic did not materialize for some reason. There were two things that they were talking about, bird flu vaccine and smallpox and also anthrax. There are three. Yes. The U.S. government bought massive amounts of vaccines. I don't know what happened to it. The whole thing fizzled. There were no pandemics.

This one has the feeling of that initial fear campaign in the early 2000s. I've seen waves of bird flu fear pop up and go away. But this one has the markings of that first big fear campaign in the early 2000s. And the fact that they're finding it in milk and, of course, in poultry adds some weight to the possibility that this thing is going to spread to humans. Look, where it's at right now is that it's spreading among animals. Right. If it continues to spread among animals, the worst that can happen is a disruption in the food supply. Killing off the poultry, eliminating poultry, meat, eggs.

Dairy. Now it's into dairy. It could affect the availability of dairy products. Right. All right. And now that starts affecting down to infants. Right. All right. So that's at its present level. That's the biggest threat.

But the ultimate threat is if scientists tell us that the virus has jumped species from animals to humans. Now, humans have have contracted bird flu directly from sick animals. Right. But but the virus was not spread from human to human. Correct. That's the problem. When it goes human to human, then we have a problem. Now, you get some people, I'm already getting the email saying, Rick, you know the whole thing's a hoax. You know it's a hoax.

Why are you talking about it? Can I tell you something? All flus are bird flus. Yes. If you've had the flu any time in your life, you had the bird flu. All flus. That's why they have to label it with H5N1

because there's so many of them. All flus come from birds. So don't pretend that this is all made up because there have been bird flu viruses circulating on the planet for a long, long time. What we've not seen is one that has the potential to cause widespread death among humans. That's what I'm concerned about. And, Doc, we look at north of the border. Canada is ramping up, preparing for a mass vaccination campaign. Here's the Ottawa Citizen newspaper, Canadian officials considering pre-pandemic vaccines as bird flu spreads

through U.S. livestock. Yes. So as H5N1 bird flu spreads rapidly through livestock and other animals in the U.S., Canada now and their officials are exploring stockpiling pre-pandemic H5N1 vaccines as a precaution. Unlike the U.S., Canada does not have a stockpile of H5N1 vaccines on hand. That's according to the Public Health Agency of Canada. But it does have agreements in place for quick access to pandemic influenza vaccines if needed. And that's coming from Nicholas John Vos, spokesperson for the PHAC. He said that the PHAC maintains agreements to secure timely access to pandemic influenza vaccines for the entire Canadian population should an influenza pandemic occur, she said. Those agreements should protect against the risk of vaccine embargoes, border closures,

and transportation shipment delays as recently witnessed during the COVID-19 pandemic. PHAC is currently considering assessing options to produce pre-pandemic vaccines against H5N1 that could be in place in the event of a pandemic declaration. The ability to do so is part of an agreement with the primary supplier pandemic influenza vaccines, part of Canada's influenza pandemic preparedness plan. So Canada is ramping up with this. Another vaccination story I saw on the weekend, I wish I would have grabbed it and just remembered it, that they're going to start vaccinating dairy cows in North Carolina. Really? Yes.

And so obviously they have... So the vaccine's going to be in the cattle. They've got vaccines already prepared for dairy cows. So the vaccine's going to be in the milk. That's right. So think about it. If the virus is in the milk, the vaccine's going to be in the milk. That's right. So think about it. If the virus is in the milk, the vaccine's going to be in the milk. So whether you believe that the virus is a hoax or whatever it might be, the vaccine is real.

And the rollout of the vaccine is very, very real. That's what we're trying to get across to people. Be prepared. I pray, let's hope not that this doesn't happen again like coronavirus. That we have lockdowns and mask mandates and vaccine mandates. And arrows on grocery store floors.

Yes, let's just hope that none of this happens. Be prepared for it. We know the pattern of behavior of government officials. By the way, on the screen right now is American Reserves. And part of that deal will be that the ICC not arrest Netanyahu. I bet that's part of it. I think the Biden administration is calling the ICC judges saying don't arrest him. We'll get this deal done.
