U.S. House passes controversial bill cracking down on alleged campus anti-Semitism. The U.S. House passed a bill aimed at cracking down, what they're saying, cracking down on alleged anti-Semitism on college campuses, despite criticism that the legislation unfairly conflates criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism. Now, the bill in question entitled the Anti-Semitism Awareness Act of 2023. Notice the date on that. It was already written. Yes.

It requires the Department of Education to take the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of anti-Semitism into account when determining if an action or practice that violates Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is motivated by anti-Semitic intent. Doc, they rushed this bill so fast last night they forgot to change the date. Yes. They already had it written, Rick. So now the bill passed by a total of 320 to 91 with 70 Democrats and 21 Republicans voting against the effort, nine Democrats and nine Republicans did not vote.

House Speaker Mike Johnson had difficulty wrangling up Republican support for the bill, particularly on the far right fringe of the GOP, sparking speculation that the vote would be delayed. Now, Jewish establishment organizations have roundly supported the effort, of course they would, spending significant money and manpower on lobbying efforts aimed at legislative action aimed at stamping out the ongoing campus protest. Now, critics of the AAA further argue that the bill does nothing to enhance the security of Jewish students on campus, instead arguing that focus should be on pending bipartisan bicameral legislation They got another one in the pipeline, Rick.

And they'll pass an office for it, Rick, to counter anti-Semitism amid spiking anti-Jewish sentiment following the October 7th attack and the ensuing Gaza war. Now, the coordinator would oversee federal efforts to counter domestic anti-Semitism and lead an interagency task force to implement the U.S. national strategy to counter anti-Semitism and further and future government strategies. In other words, they're going to set up a czar. Yes. To monitor the free speech rights of Americans.

Now, we already have an anti-Semitism coordinator director in the State Department dealing with international issues. We've had it for a while. This is going to be a congressionally mandated position of Zionism czar. One more quote from this, and this is significant. The bill would additionally require federal law enforcement agencies to jointly produce an annual threat assessment and the Department of Education to designate a senior official to advise on anti-Semitic discrimination in higher education. Now, obviously, there's a lot of talk today online about this particular bill, but it's

still passed. Your congressman likely voted for it, by the way. Donk, are there laws on the books in all 50 states that make it illegal to use violence against anybody? Yes, absolutely. bury them under rubble. And you can't say a word about it or we're going to have your government arrest you. That's what our House voted for last night. This thing goes to the Senate and it will be signed by Biden. There will be a federal czar monitoring what you say about Israel and the Zionists.

Yes. And you could be prosecuted by the Department of Justice and put in a federal prison. And most of the government is fully behind this. Including the Republican Party. Yes, especially the Republican Party. Now, there are some holdouts on this. One example that we're going to show you here is from Representative Chip Roy of Texas. And he just comes right out and says this, you know, this is this bill that you guys rushed through is nothing but the ability by government to monitor using the police to monitor your thinking.

Yet again today on the floor of the House of Representatives, we had another show vote to make people feel good about themselves by passing a bill that says anti-Semitism in the title. We didn't have a chance to amend it.
