With world leaders falling in line with President Trump's demands, it remains to be seen whether Mexico will dare to shut down its powerful and deadly drug cartels. Two high-ranking Trump administration officials hinted that the United States may take matters into its own hands and possibly invade Mexico to crush the cartels. However, the first person who may test Donald Trump's resolve to deal with the twin problems of illegal immigrants and drugs coming over the border from Mexico could be New Jersey Governor Patrick Murphy. This is True News for Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's top news by looking at this headline published by the New York Post. Border Czar Tom Homan threatens to seek prosecution after New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy suggested he was harboring an illegal immigrant.
Starting point is 00:02:02 And Governor Murphy did more than suggest it. He boasted about it. Did he? Oh, yes. He was boasting about it. And so the title here appears to put Tom Holman on the defense here, you know, that he's going after the governor for some sort of personal vendetta. But that's not the case at all. Governor Murphy came right out and said, I have an illegal immigrant in my home. I dare. In his home? Yes. Wow. Yes. So yeah, there's more to the story here than meets the eye. President Trump's no-nonsense borders are Tom Holman is threatening to prosecute New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy after the Democratic governor suggested he was sheltering an illegal migrant in his home.
Starting point is 00:02:48 And dared the feds, dared them, I say, to try to get her. He appeared on Sean Hannity's program last night on Fox News, and they discussed this impending scenario here. Let me read a headline to you. Chicago leaders encourage residents to exercise their rights in resisting Trump's deportation policies. The governor of New Jersey, Phil Murphy, basically admitted that he knew somebody that didn't have full documentation, that he was hiding over his garage. But there's someone in our broader universe whose immigration status is not yet at the point that they are trying to get it to and we said you know what let's have her live at our house above our garage and good luck to the feds coming in to try to get her your comment on all of that. Well, I think the government's pretty foolish saying what he said, because I've gotten old of it.
Starting point is 00:03:49 Won't let it go. We'll look into it. And if he's gnarly, gnarly, harboring, concealing an illegal alien, that's a violation of Title VIII United States Code 1324. I will seek prosecution, or the secretary will seek prosecution. So maybe he's bluffing. If he's not, we'll deal with that. And as far as suing Sanctuary Cities, well, get in line, because the Trump administration is going to do that already. Sanctuary Cities are sanctuary for criminals.
Starting point is 00:04:13 One example, right? Sanctuary Cities in New York City. If they would have gave us over the killer of Lakin Riley, when he got arrested in New York City for endangering a child, he would have been in jail. And he would have never killed Lakin Riley. Sanctuary cities are responsible
Starting point is 00:04:29 for deaths of thousands, thousands of young children throughout my career. And we're going to sue them. We're going to hold them. And look, if he's got to go to Supreme Court, that's what President Trump's wanting to do. He will end sanctuary cities. Doc, if
Starting point is 00:04:44 ICE agents raid Governor Murphy's house and he told him she's above the garage. Right. So he's got an apartment above his garage. If they raid the house, what is the governor going to do to stop them? Now, as the governor of New Jersey, he's got state trooper protection. Are the New Jersey state troopers going to have a shootout with federal agents? How far are they going to go? I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:05:17 I don't think the New Jersey state police are going to shoot federal agents. I think the federal agents are going to go in with a search warrant, an arrest warrant, an arrester, and it's over. I mean, what's he going to do? Right. And besides that, I think he's just talking tough anyway. I think he'll fold like a cheap deck chair once brass tacks are down. Well, I think they're looking for a fight without fighting. They want a photo opportunity. The Democrats don't know what to do.
Starting point is 00:05:55 And I think this was deliberate. I think he's setting what they think is a trap. The Democrats think this is a trap. We're going to get the Trump administration in some really bad publicity it's going to be worldwide headlines um some little immigrant woman living in the in the garage they drew they pulled her out by the hair and put her in the van had 40 agents maybe right yes kind of like when the when the feds raided Roger Stone's house. Right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:28 So I think that's what they're after. They want that scene, but they're not going to give it to the media. They're going to stake it. They're going to stake out that place. They're going to know her habits. And then they're going to raid at three o'clock in the morning while the governor's asleep in his house. Right. And CNN won't be there.
Starting point is 00:06:51 So the whole plan's not going to work. Are they going to prosecute him? I doubt it. They're just going to get her and take her away. But if these governors like Murphy and the one in Illinois, Pritzker, I just don't think they have the backbone for themselves to be arrested. You know, Gavinism's not going to get arrested.
Starting point is 00:07:24 They're going to talk big, but at the end of the day, they're not going to get arrested. They're going to talk big, but at the end of the day, they're not going to do anything. They'll try to get somebody else to do it. They'll try to get a mayor or city council person in their state to do it. But these governors aren't going to do it. They don't want to be hauled away in a police vehicle and handcuffed and a mugshot. They're not going to give the media that, you know, their political opponents, they're not going to give them that opportunity. So I don't think it's going to happen. But the next one is, I think it's far more important. Right.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Military.com. Defense Secretary Hegseth says all options will be on the table when he was asked about military strikes in Mexico. Right. Look, when you say all options are on the table, everybody knows what that means. That means military action. And if you're talking about a war, it means using nukes. Now, he's not proposing using nukes, but he's saying all options are on the table. That means the U.S. is willing to cross the border into Mexico to engage the drug cartels in combat. Yes.
Starting point is 00:08:43 Amazing. So he appeared on Fox News. This was a couple of days ago. The first one I'm going to show you is a couple of days ago. And this is when he said that the U.S. military can now perform special operations against the drug cartels. The drug cartels have been declared terrorist organizations. And if you find that and we know if there's Al Qaeda, we're going to hit him. I don't care if you're in Somalia, Sudan or in Syria. If we find that they continue to fire at our border control and they continue to put fentanyl into our country as a secretary of defense, are you permitted now to go after them in Mexico or wherever they are?
Starting point is 00:09:25 Brian, I don't want to get ahead of the president and I won't, but that's ultimately going to be his decision. But let me be clear, all options will be on the table. If we're dealing with what are designated to be foreign terrorist organizations who are specifically targeting Americans on our border. And we're finally securing our border. We've been securing other people's border for a very long time. The military is orienting, shifting toward an understanding of homeland defense on our
Starting point is 00:09:56 sovereign territorial border. That is something we will do and do robustly. All right, Lee, in control room, I want wanted to play that video again without the audio and put it on split screen and while doc and i talk because doc this is surreal you have on the right fox and friends. Right. On the left, you have the former co-host of Fox and Friends. Yes. He's now being interviewed by Fox and Friends, and he's the Secretary of Defense. Now, Rick, if a year ago I told you.
Starting point is 00:10:36 No, no, I would not have. I would have believed he might be press secretary at the Pentagon. That is so surreal to me that Pete Hegseth went from fox and friends to running the Pentagon. I just have trouble dealing with it. Well, they voted him in and he's got
Starting point is 00:10:58 a great deputy secretary too. Yes, his deputy secretary is a fine man. A very fine man who's running the Pentagon for Pete Hegseth. Now the next one is in this next video is
Starting point is 00:11:13 I think the real reason Pete Hegseth was chosen because of his telegenic capabilities. He's the right person to be on camera. To be the front man. To be the front man and deliver the message.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Let's watch. The most powerful military in the world will not be intimidated by anybody, let alone cartels. These cartels feel threatened. They're going to look for other routes. There's going to be turf wars between them. And eventually that's going to come north. And if that does come north against Border Patrol or against soldiers, first of all, we're going to respond.
Starting point is 00:11:54 And second of all, they will pay for that if they attempt to shoot at troops or Border Patrol agents. We're not going to stand for it, ever. It's not a question of if. It's what. It's what will happen. We have no better negotiator at the helm than our Commander-in-Chief, Donald Trump. We are not going to back down. Intimidation is not going to work. And the message I have for the troops here
Starting point is 00:12:17 is across the board is we have their backs. We have your back. We're going to give you the tools necessary to get 100% operational control of that border. This is national security. When we secure the border, less people die from fentanyl, less women and children in sex traffic, less people on terrorist watches cross that border. Some things that should have happened decades ago. Yes. Doc, I was talking about the border and illegal immigrants when we started this program in 1999. Oh, I believe you.
Starting point is 00:12:49 Here we are in 2025, and we're still talking about it. It wasn't an accident. It was a plan. Yes. It was a plan. Again, Lee, I'm going to have you run that video again silently just for a few seconds. I want you to notice something. I don't know how many of you noticed. Did you see all the chemtrails in the background? Yeah, yes. Yeah, look at the chemtrails.
Starting point is 00:13:15 And this is down at the southern border here. That's the first thing I noticed. The skies were full of chemtrails. They are here, too. And they are here. and they are here that's very unusual here for us in florida uh we we've had a lot of chemtrail activity in recent recent weeks um the next story this is wall street journal now this has got some pretty heavy stuff in it. El Salvador offers to take U.S. deportees of any nationality, including imprisoned Americans. Yeah, this is an interesting story here.
Starting point is 00:14:00 This is, okay, we've got to separate two things. The president of El Salvador, we actually have three things. He said, hey, you got citizens from El Salvador in your country? Bring them back. Yeah. Send them on back. I'll take them. I'll take them. Then he said, you got other criminals in your prison, illegal immigrants, criminals? Bring them down. I'll take them. Then he said, you got other criminals in your prison?
Starting point is 00:14:26 Illegal immigrants, criminals? Bring them down. I'll take them for a fee. Yes. Oh, you got some Americans in prison? Yes. Bring them down. I'll put them in prison for a fee.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Americans? Yes. All right, let's read the story. Yeah, so U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Monday that El Salvador has offered to accept deportees of any nationality from the U.S., including incarcerated American citizens who would be held in the country's maximum security prison. El Salvador President Nayib Bukele offered to house in his jails dangerous American criminals in custody in our country, Rubio said in San Salvador, the second stop on his first foreign trip.
Starting point is 00:15:14 No country has ever made an offer of friendship such as this, he said, calling it the most unprecedented and extraordinary migratory agreement anywhere in the world. Now, Secretary Rubio said Bukele had offered to take in any illegal immigrant in the United States who's a dangerous criminal. Any. Including members of MS-13 and Tren de Auregra gangs. Rubio said that he was grateful for the offer and added that he had spoken to President Trump about it earlier in the day. Now, it was unclear whether the U.S. planned to accept the offer or the legality of sending American citizens to a foreign prison. A State Department spokesperson declined to comment on what such a plan could entail. Now, President Bukele actually posted on X and said this,
Starting point is 00:15:59 We have offered the United States of America the opportunity to outsource part of its prison system. We are willing to take in only convicted criminals, including convicted U.S. citizens, into our mega prison, Chikat, in exchange for a fee. The fee would be relatively low for the U.S., but significant for us, making our entire prison system sustainable. Now, President Bukele, he is on the cutting edge of governing. Yes, he is. He's very pro-cryptocurrency. And they have seen a significant drop in violent crime, murder, rape. Have you ever seen videos of his prison?
Starting point is 00:16:41 Oh, yes. I watched one earlier today, and wow uh they you know don't mess around with prisoners when he says mega prison it's huge it's like a city so apparently they've got a lot more room and he's done the math and said hey we could run our entire prison system on on fees from other countries i've never heard of a country saying, we'll outsource your prisoners. Bring them to us. Yes.
Starting point is 00:17:10 Now, we already kind of outsource corporately here in the U.S. A lot of prisons are managed by prison corporations here in the U.S. The only difference is we would be outsourcing them to another country. So, Lee, are you able to find some video of the El Salvador mega prison? Because this president, Bukele,
Starting point is 00:17:35 when he came to power, he took... El Salvador was a very dangerous country to visit. I've never been there. It was on one of my lists of here's a place I don't want to go. I don't want to be mugged and have my kidney removed on the street. So it had a reputation of being extremely violent. We do have some video.
Starting point is 00:17:58 And he came to power and got crime under control, built this massive prison, and rounded up the gangs and cleaned up the streets. Let's watch this video. So what you're seeing here, this is what the Seacott prison actually looks like in El Salvador. Oh, there we go. So you see the prisoners? They don't mess around with these guys at all. And so I'd feel sorry for any U.S. citizen that ended up there.
Starting point is 00:18:33 But they are effective. Is it constitutional to send an American prisoner to another country? That's the question that's at hand here. So someday, you know, like maybe, I mean, imagine Hillary Clinton in the White House. And she's arrested people she doesn't like. Right. And she says, ship them to another country. Okay. So you just, out of sight, out of mind more you just out of sight out of mind you just disappear spend the rest of your life in a prison like this
Starting point is 00:19:11 uh i don't think it's constitutional but i i'm glad that that the salvadorian president said yeah if you have any of our citizens bring them them back. We have plenty of room in our prison. We'll lock them up. And if you want to send us some other prisoners from other countries, we'll take them too. And, you know, right now we're already putting people in Guantanamo right now. Yes. The first plane load of migrants. They've already gone.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Here I go again. Illegal aliens have been sent to Guantanamo Bay. They're expecting to put about 30,000 prisoners there, Rick. That's in addition to what we already have. We have several dozen prisoners there, but do they have the capacity to handle 30,000 illegal aliens? No, I heard President Trump say it can handle 30,000. Doc, if you were in the United States and you were a hardened criminal, illegally you're in the United States, you better find a way over the border quick.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Or you're going to be in Guantanamo or in El Salvador. This is not good for criminals that are in the country illegally. I'm talking rapists, killers, violent thugs, gang members. You get caught, you're going to Guantanamo or you're going to El Salvador. It's not good for them. They better find a door to Mexico
Starting point is 00:20:42 and get across the border quickly. Politically, this is a smart move for President Bukele because he did not get along with the Biden administration at all. Not at all. And so for him to come out and Marco Rubio was treated like royalty when he arrived in El Salvador and the whole time he was there. So he is making his presentation not just to Marco Rubio but also to President Trump as well and saying, let's work together.
Starting point is 00:21:11 President Trump was probably, when President Trump was told about the prisoner offer, President Trump was probably saying, well, what else will this guy do? Yeah, this is a great deal. What else does he do? What else can we guy do? This is a great deal. What else does he do? What else can we outsource? Right. If he's got that kind of attitude, I like this guy. This is somebody I can work with. Yes.
Starting point is 00:21:33 Would be the president's approach. So most likely you're going to see the Trump administration working very closely with El Salvador. Yes. They're going to move the Trump administration working very closely with El Salvador. Yes. They're going to move up the food chain in Central America. And notice the attitude of President Bukele as opposed to Scheinbaum and Trudeau and some others and even the Panamanian president. But they all folded. They did. They all gave in to President Trump.
Starting point is 00:22:04 Bukele comes out. He says, let's do a deal. Yes. Right at the very beginning. Here's the deal. Smart man. Mr. Trump loves a deal. Smart man.
Starting point is 00:22:16 Elon Musk put this on his Twitter account today, XX account. From now on, money laundering will be called foreign aid. As he continues to slice and dice over USAID with his team of 20-somethings now. But Doc, he's implying. Yes. He's implying there is criminal money laundering going on in the agency. Yes. He knows something that they've not revealed to us. I am convinced that the reason they moved so quickly on U.S. aid agency is because they have evidence that extremely nefarious activities
Starting point is 00:23:00 from the deep state were being funneled through that agency. And this is part of taking them down, taking down the whole deep state. That is, it's going to burst open a lot of criminal activity. You're going to find out in the coming year, you're going to hear the names of people who are so-called respectable leaders in American society, maybe journalists, television news people, authors and others. You're going to find out that they were getting U.S. aid grants. Yes. Okay? They were being, this is how they were paid to keep the propaganda going.
Starting point is 00:23:48 Yes. That these individuals would set up their own NGOs. Yes. In another country. Yeah. And then the money would be funneled to various NGOs and then come back to the friendly NGO. That's right. That's what I think they're going to show.
Starting point is 00:24:04 And it's going to shock a lot of American citizens when they find out how corrupt their leaders are. Caroline Levitt, the new press secretary, she was talking to reporters yesterday, gave them a list of some of the things that USAID was financing. Here she is. Through USAID over the past several years, these are some of the insane priorities that that organization has been spending money on. $1.5 million to advance DEI in Serbia's workplaces, $70,000 for a production of a DEI musical in Ireland, 47,000 for a transgender opera in Colombia, 32,000 for a transgender comic book in Peru. I don't know about you, but as an American taxpayer, I don't want my dollars going towards this crap. And I know the American people don't either. And that's exactly what Elon Musk has been tasked by President Trump to do, to get the fraud,
Starting point is 00:25:01 waste and abuse out of our federal government thank you how long could you sit in a theater seat and watch a transgender opera and first of all you had to trick me to get there and so our transgender comic book and you and just think about a a a an obese transgender opera singer okay singing the last song of the opera. One of the more ridiculous ones that I heard, Rick, was that there was $50,000 spent on building treadmills for shrimp. Are you serious? No, I'm serious.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Building treadmills for shrimp. I forget which department it was, but they were studying shrimp, and they built them little tiny treadmills. So their little legs could— I don't know whether they're working out or they want to see how fast the shrimp could run. Come on. You know where the money went? These are all fake grants. Sure.
Starting point is 00:26:01 This is money laundering. This is deep state money laundering money's it's ubi yes uh bill gates is uh troubled by the shutdown of usaid here's the hill.com bill gates said must wouldn't be telling usaid workers to that should be stay home uh-uh got a typo there in the hill. Okay, you should call them, Doc, and tell them how to spell. They wouldn't be telling workers to stay home if he knew what the agency does. Oh, I think Elon Musk knows what the agency does.
Starting point is 00:26:38 Oh, he does too. Bill Gates knows too. That's right. Let's see what Mr. Gates said. Mr. Gates, you also called Elon Musk's political influence abroad, quote, insane, along with another word we can't repeat here. But what's your take on his political access and influence here in America right now? Well, Elon, his private sector work, you know, has been very innovative, really fantastic. A lot of private sector people, when they get into government,
Starting point is 00:27:09 they don't take the time necessarily to see what the good work is or why it's structured the way it is. So I'm a little worried, particularly with this USAID stuff. My foundation partners with USAID on nutrition and getting vaccines out. And, you know, there's incredible people. You know, they're not actually worms that work there. So, you know, hopefully we'll get some of that work back in shape. In fact, if we don't, you know, you could have literally millions of deaths. So, you know, with aid, people think, you know, wow, how much do we give these countries?
Starting point is 00:27:53 As you said, it's less than a percent. People think it's 5%, and it should be 2%, but it's actually under 1%. Wow. And still saving lives. I wonder if Mr. Gates worked with Jeffrey Epstein on any USAID projects. That's a great question, Rick. By the way, Mr. Gates is misinformed. It's a significant portion of the budget. It's closer to 10%. And if you count all the duplication and the waste within USAID, it's probably closer to 20. Twenty percent. Ten percent?
Starting point is 00:28:28 Equivalent to 20 percent of the federal budget. Are you saying 10 percent of the budget? Yes. When you count all the foreign aid. Are you sure, Doug? Yes. So Elon Musk was saying it earlier today. And so he's expecting when all the dust settles that it'll account for about 17 percent. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:28:48 Between fraud, waste, and abuse. So we'll see. Let's see where it all ends up. But Mr. Gates, the man who wants to block out the sun to prevent global warming, this is the guy that partners with USAID. I think he's shocked that a fellow billionaire has been so brash and brazen to just openly get involved with a president. Like, he tried to do it more discreetly. And here's Musk, who's just breaking all the rules and shutting down agencies. The next one they're looking at shutting down is the Education Department.
Starting point is 00:29:31 Here's Wall Street Journal. It's about time. Trump advisors' way plan to dismantle Education Department. Doc, this one's not going to be as easy because it's a cabinet position. Right. And it was established by an act of Congress. Yes. So I was thinking about this this morning.
Starting point is 00:29:50 It's like, well, how do you shut down by executive order? You just shut down an agency that was set up by Congress. You can't do that. Right. But I think they found a way to do it. And it's in this article. Right. It's in the Wall Street Journal.
Starting point is 00:30:02 Trump administration officials are weighing executive actions to dismantle the Education Department as part of the campaign by Elon Musk and his allies to shrink federal agencies and slash the size of the government workforce. Now, officials have discussed an executive order – now, listen to this – that would shut down all functions of the agency that aren't written explicitly into statute or move certain functions to other departments, according to people familiar with the matter. Now, the order would call for developing a legislative proposal to abolish the department, and Trump's advisors are debating the specifics of the order and the timing. Now, some administration officials, including the team working with Education Secretary nominee Linda McMahon, said the White House should wait to release any executive order until after Ms. McMahon's Senate confirmation hearing. And McMahon's hearing hasn't been scheduled, as the Senate is awaiting her ethics paperwork.
Starting point is 00:30:58 Now, fully abolishing the department will require an act of Congress, as Rick mentioned. And lawmakers have for years shown little interest in doing so. President Trump unsuccessfully tried to merge the education and labor departments in his first term. Now, last week, Representative Thomas Massey of Kentucky introduced a bill to abolish the education department by the end of 2026. He said, unelected bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. should not be in charge of our children's intellectual and moral development, Massey said. And so that's the next place. But one place that they can really take an axe to the education department is all the programs that the education department runs. So the way they're going to get around this is they're going to go to the original law that established the cabinet position, and they're going to say, these things that were
Starting point is 00:31:56 in the law are the only things we will fund. We're going to shut down everything else. Right. So they're going to just take an ax and just chop that thing up. If there are any projects that are worthwhile, they'll move them to another department. But they're going to whittle down education to its bare size according to legislation. And then you can't challenge it saying, well, you shut down an agency that the U.S. Congress established and funded. You can say, no, it's still there and it's doing what it was originally intended to do
Starting point is 00:32:36 and nothing else. That's right. We've taken away everything else. There's going to be quite a fight over this one. Next story is EU state warns citizens to stock up on food and water. Gee, I wonder what Estonia knows. This is the Estonia government telling their citizens, says the Estonian government has recommended that citizens stockpile food, water, medications, alternative lighting sources, and even board games in anticipation of potential power outages as the country exits the energy system it shares with Russia on February 8th. So.
Starting point is 00:33:24 Self-inflicted wound. Yes, you shot your toes off. Just to prove to Russia, we can get along without buying electricity from you. We're going to cut the electricity cable to Russia. We're not buying any more electricity. And then you turn around and you tell the people. Stock up tuna fish, water, and Parcheesi games.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Yes, because you might be without electricity. That's right. Starting on February 8th. Now, Estonia, along with its neighbors in Latvia and Lithuania, which are all members of NATO and the EU, are preparing to transition to the continental European electric grid as part of its efforts to cut energy ties with Moscow. Problems such as cable failures or substation fires could arise unexpectedly when connecting to the European power grid, according to Thomas Kapp, head of the Tartu Waterworks in Estonia. However, he expressed confidence that the system would be able to handle any unforeseen situations. But none of this had to happen. Nope.
Starting point is 00:34:27 It's all part of the NATO war. But the fact of the matter is they're telling their people to prepare, Rick. Yes. Russia was perfectly happy to sell electricity to Estonia. They were happy. And Estonia was perfectly happy to buy it. Yes, and pay for it. And life was good.
Starting point is 00:34:44 The lights were on. The lights were on. The lights were on. But NATO got involved and said no, no, no. You cannot buy electricity from Russia. We're going to destroy Russia. And so country after country in Europe
Starting point is 00:35:00 is just shooting their toes off their feet. Germany doesn't have any toes left. Yeah, they're up to their knees now shooting them. All right, Doc, this next one's serious. That's right. Atlanta, news first. Waffle House adds a 50-cent surcharge per egg.
Starting point is 00:35:21 This is the bird flu tax. Yes. That's what this is. The bird flu tax. Soaring egg prices are hitting Waffle House customers starting Monday. The Norcross, Georgia-based diner chain is now charging 50 cents extra per egg. The company issued a statement that said, quote, the continuing egg shortage caused by the bird flu has caused a dramatic increase in egg prices. The Atlanta news source said, Waffle House said in a statement, customers and restaurants are being forced to make difficult decisions. We are continuously monitoring egg prices and will adjust or remove the surcharge as market conditions allow. And I will tell you, Doc, this is absolutely true because several days ago,
Starting point is 00:36:19 I was told by our egg supplier for American Res reserves, the new prices that we'll pay. And I'll tell you, it stunned me. It stunned me. I sat down. I was like, dear Lord, what are we going to do? I had no idea. I mean, I knew a price increase was coming. Not at the level that they hit us.
Starting point is 00:36:50 So when we run out of eggs, powdered eggs at American Reserves, there is a steep increase coming. Steep. And I'll be honest with you, I personally don't have the, I personally don't have the money, because I own American Reserves, I don't have
Starting point is 00:37:10 the money to keep buying new supplies. Because of the price. Because the increases are so high. This is serious. And this, you know, we don't even have a pandemic with bird flu yet. It's not even at the pandemic stage yet.
Starting point is 00:37:34 I would say if you have the ability to put chickens on your property, you better get some chickens. And make sure they don't get infected with anything. Rick, are other countries killing off their chickens? Yes. They are? Yes. Because I saw a report that eggs in Mexico are half the price of the eggs here in the U.S. Well, we need to buy Mexican eggs.
Starting point is 00:38:05 So what's the difference? What's going on that the eggs are so much cheaper in Mexico than they are here? Gee, Doc, I guess the infected birds, when they flew up from South America, they flew over Mexico. Right. And went straight to California and Virginia and all the American states. I'd just like to ask questions about this. You know, we need something to go.
Starting point is 00:38:29 Let's check into this. Let's check egg prices worldwide. Okay. And see what this is looking like. But here in the U.S., it is getting outrageous. The next one, Zelensky. This is the Economic Times of India. Zelensky exposes U.S. over Ukraine war aid.
Starting point is 00:38:54 He said Ukraine only got 75 billion of the 177 billion that the U.S. said they spent on the war, and he wants to know where is the money. It takes a lot of nerve. It takes a lot of nerve. You've got to give it to him, Doc. Give him credit. I would say buy a mirror. All right. Well, let's read it, and I'll tell you what I think is going on. All right. Well, let's read it and I'll tell you what I think is going on. All right. So
Starting point is 00:39:26 in a shocking revelation, this is Economic Times of India, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that Ukraine has only received about $75 billion out of the $177 billion military aid approved by the U.S. Speaking to the Associated Press, Zelensky said he does not know where the remaining funds have gone, fueling speculation of corruption or U.S. corporate lobbying. Now, this comes on the heels of all this discovery at USAID and everything over the past few days. And so now Mr. Zelensky knows that there's going to be a magnifying glass on all money going everywhere, Rick. We have a short video clip. I'll read the captions here.
Starting point is 00:40:10 This is President Zelensky in an interview. And it's just a mystery. It just doesn't know where $100 billion has gone. But he has a proposal. Yes, he does. If the West will give him an extra $20 billion, he will investigate. He'll use that money to launch an investigation into the missing $100 billion. I like that. So let's watch this.
Starting point is 00:40:37 I'll read the captions. Look, when I hear, and I heard before, and today we hear from the United States of America that America gave Ukraine hundreds of billions, 177 to be more precise. That's what the exact figure sounded like, which was supported or voted by Congress. Look, as the president of a warring country, I tell you, we received just over 75. That is 100 billion of these 177 or 200. Some people even say we have never received. And this is important because we're talking about specific things because we got it not with money,
Starting point is 00:41:29 but with weapons. We got 70 something billion worth of it. There's training, there's additional transport, there are not only prices for weapons. There were humanitarian programs, social programs. When we say that Ukraine during the war received $200 billion to support the army, this is not true. I don't know where all this money is. You know what, Doc?
Starting point is 00:42:02 He's partially telling the truth. Okay. Zelensky knows the jig is up. And he's starting, he's starting to squeal. He knows, he knows he's going to be the scapegoat. He knows it. He can see it coming. Oh, sure.
Starting point is 00:42:27 He knows that they're going to say, you know, when I say they, the West is going to say, hundreds of billions of dollars are missing. Zelensky's got to go. He knows it's coming. What I think is happening here
Starting point is 00:42:44 is that two thieves are being exposed. He said, we got somewhere around $75 billion. So the U.S. paid. We paid their salaries of the government. We paid pensions. We paid. We propped up the post office. The post office.
Starting point is 00:43:02 We subsidized farmers. We did all kinds of stuff so you see we got like 75 76 billion okay let's say that's true let's say he's accurate on that and he siphoned off his share of it okay he and the general siphoned off from that 70 75 billion i mean a billion here, a billion there. Okay, maybe they took 3, 4, 5 billion. That's 5 billion. That's the way he's looking at it. But where's the rest of it?
Starting point is 00:43:38 What he's saying is the U.S. never wired another 100 billion to Ukraine. And yet it was appropriated by Congress. Where did the money go, Doc? That's a great question. This is something Donald Trump and Elon Musk need to find out. Where did the money go? it circulated around in defense contractors and think tanks and humanitarian humanitarian but mostly the defense the war industry right
Starting point is 00:44:16 and 100 billion dollars was spent the pentagon issued, I mean, they issued payments. And poof, the money's gone. Right. Okay. Hey, we spent $175 billion defending democracy in Ukraine. Now, you moved about $100 billion into the pockets of some rich people. I'm not going to say the whole hundred billion was siphoned because they used weapons. They were buying weapons. But Doc, that hundred billion, it didn't go to Ukraine and say,
Starting point is 00:44:56 here, Zelensky, go shopping for the weapons you need. The Biden administration bought the weapons you need. The Biden administration bought the weapons. They purchased the weapons. The money never went to Ukraine. Right. But there's no accountability.
Starting point is 00:45:17 There is zero accountability. And I'll throw another wrench in the works here. The Ukraine Ministry of Economy, their version of the Treasury and everything, they don't manage their own money. You know this, right? No, BlackRock does it. BlackRock is managing the Treasury Department of Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:45:37 So could Elon Musk do a raid on BlackRock? I mean, if they're the ones that have been handling the funds for Ukraine. Let's raid them. If you hired somebody to manage your money and you found out, hey, I got $100 billion missing here. Is Mr. Trump willing to raid BlackRock? Because that's you've hit it right on the head, Doc. That's how the money was circulating. Right. And BlackRock, they were in partnership with JPMorgan Chase on that, too. You mean Jamie Dimon might know something about this?
Starting point is 00:46:12 And Jamie Dimon was— I'm just saying. They weren't—wasn't JPMorgan Chase Bank talking about getting the contract to rebuild Ukraine after the war? They've already set up a development bank with about $20 billion in it. And see, there's a whole new feeding trough. Yes. There'll be another $200
Starting point is 00:46:34 billion coming into that trough. Well, anyhow, I'm not a friend or defender of Zelensky, but on this one he's partially telling the truth. He's saying, I didn't get my hands on $175 billion.
Starting point is 00:46:54 Well, Dmitry Medvedev had a different opinion about it, Rick. He just flat out called him a liar. Dmitry Medvedev, of course, from Russia, slams Zelensky's claims about U.S. aid as a brazen lie. He says that Ukrainian leader Zelensky's recent claim that he's unaware of the whereabouts of more than $100 billion of Western aid funds allocated to Kiev is a brazen and cynical lie. And we have some quotes of Mr. Medvedev. He said, in the heat of frankness, the leader of the Bandera regime admitted that he and his comrades sawed off $100 billion. I just like the way Medvedev puts things. He did it shyly, like the blue thief alchemy in 12 chairs, like
Starting point is 00:47:40 we never saw that hundred. Ask old man Biden about the money. This, of course, is a brazen and cynical lie. The 100 went into the pockets of thieves of all stripes from Washington to Kiev. This money was sucked deep by the throats of the American Ministry of Defense, the CIA, and military-industrial complex enterprises. He's right on this. It's not that Zelensky got the money. It was shared. They allowed him to steal a portion of the $75 billion.
Starting point is 00:48:12 Yes. And they kept the rest. That's right. And given the volumes allocated for a long time and with undisguised pleasure, The song continued in Kiev. They stole billions of both the money itself and the weapons bought with it, which are now found in different parts of the world. What's next? Well, he sums it up.
Starting point is 00:48:34 Nothing. The thieves will pardon themselves. Biden has already started the process and even Elon's naive but incomparable attempts to investigate ideological theft in USAID as well as corruption in aid to former Ukraine, it'll come to nothing. Now, they'll complain, they'll shake their fists, they'll listen to the Senate, fire those not involved, and that's it.
Starting point is 00:49:00 Fire those not involved. Yeah. And to Kiev, we'll continue under the repainted Reagan motto, peace through strength, and support for the trained political dwarfs of Pindostan. With the help of color revolutions will resume to the drumbeat of U.S. national interests. And the insatiable deep throat in the body of the deep state will continue to please all of its lustful clients. Ooh, that was nasty. Yes. That last line, that was nasty. But is he lying?
Starting point is 00:49:34 He's telling us. We've known for years that the USAID has been funneling money brazenly. Do you think the Biden family was siphoning off money? That was their only business. It's the only thing they did. They didn't make widgets. Right. And why was Donald Trump impeached? Because he was investigating Ukraine for corruption? With a phone call to Zelensky. One phone call
Starting point is 00:50:03 to Zelensky and the Democrats impeached him. That's right. Vidman. Vidman, remember him? Alexander Vidman. Alexander Vidman, who was in the National Security Office in the White House. Now he's in Congress. Yes, he's a congressman now.
Starting point is 00:50:22 But Elon Musk tweeted a few days ago, or maybe a week or two ago that Vindman was guilty of treason. Yes. And then yesterday when you had all the Democrats out in front of USAID, Vindman spoke. But he also tried to enter into the USAID headquarters. and security forcibly told him to turn around. You cannot come in. This is a sitting member of Congress, and because they were given orders, nobody comes in. Nobody. And why was Vindman trying to get inside?
Starting point is 00:51:04 There's a photo op. Well, I know that too. But there could be more reasons why. Because it's going to be discovered that he was a facilitator, I believe, for Ukraine. Maybe he was trying to get to a computer. So. You think about that? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:20 He was trying to get to a computer to remove files? Let's see. Where are we at here? This is number 18. The U.S. has not discussed elections with Ukraine, but Kiev is ready for talks. I'm telling you, Zelensky's done. The fact that they're floating this story out there. That goose is cooked.
Starting point is 00:51:48 He's the reason he's saying, I didn't get all the money. You can't blame me for 100 billion missing. I never saw it. Should have kept your mouth shut. But they're going to get rid of him now. Yeah. And now they're going to have an election. And now this is how they're setting it get rid of him now. And now they're going to have an election.
Starting point is 00:52:07 And now this is how they're setting it up now, folks. The article, this is from New Voice of Ukraine. So it's going to be leaning pro-Ukraine here. But listen to this. The U.S. has not yet discussed with Ukraine the need to hold elections by the end of 2025. But Kiev is ready for dialogue if the topic is raised. That's coming from Ambassador Oksana Makarova. She is the Ukrainian ambassador to the U.S. When this issue was theoretically discussed back in 23 and 24,
Starting point is 00:52:37 our position was that to do this, we need to end the hostilities, Makarova said. During the war, we cannot ensure full access to voting and candidacy now at least keith kellogg asked the right questions regarding this back on the first of february u.s special representative for ukraine and russia keith kellogg former general expressed the opinion that parliamentary and presidential elections should be held in ukraine if a ceasefire agreement is reached in the coming months. Now, he said this, and this is something Rick and I have said too. Most democratic nations have elections in their time of war.
Starting point is 00:53:15 I think it is important they do so. This is General Kellogg. Right. I think it is good for democracy. That's the beauty of a solid democracy. You have more than one person potentially running. When we were in World War II, we didn't cancel elections. The Brits didn't cancel elections. People, I mean, they have elections during wartime,
Starting point is 00:53:35 but not Ukraine. But they said they didn't have an election because they couldn't ensure the safety of the voters going to the polls. And the candidates. And the candidates. Bottom line. They're saying we're going to have an election this year in Zelensky. Putin told General Kellogg there cannot be a peace settlement because there is an illegitimate usurper sitting in Kiev running the government. Right. And we are not going to sign any kind of a peace deal with a usurper sitting in kiev running the government right and we are not going to sign any kind of a
Starting point is 00:54:06 peace deal with a usurper right so you got to put a legitimately elected person in kiev then we'll sign that's just it's just common sense what good is a peace treaty if the person who signed it is illegitimate yes why not just go out on the street and get someone say you want to sign peace treaty so the russians have they've laid down the law so there's not going to be a peace treaty until we have a legitimate president so general kellogg i'm sure has come back and told president trump we're not going to get a peace settlement until we have another president. The U.S. is going to demand, they're going to force an election in Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:54:53 Yes. There will be a new election and Zelensky is not going to win. He'll go back to dancing. Or retire in South Florida. Oh, I found another dancing video today. Oh, you did? Oh, it's bad. You don't want to hear that.
Starting point is 00:55:11 This one's disgusting. I debated whether to bring it on the program. It's pretty nasty. Yeah, I think they'll bring him here to the U.S. for his safety. South Florida? Oh, yeah. He owns a mansion here so well anyhow there will be an election there'll be another president and there'll be a peace settlement in ukraine
Starting point is 00:55:33 are there any other signs that this ukraine situation is winding down yes nbc news trump says he will continue funding ukraine war effort but he wants something rare in return president donald trump says he wants ukraine's bonanza of rare earth and critical minerals in exchange for the billions of dollars in military aid washington has been supplying it's an idea previously suggested by republican senators as like lindsey graham and zielinski all right so uh what mr trump is saying now they're saying that mr trump is saying i'll keep the war going in return for getting the the rare earth minerals lindsey graham said what felt like 15 trillion 15 trillion dollars worth of rare earth minerals in Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:56:25 Right. And so Lindsey Graham was like, man, we could keep this war going forever. We'll pay for the war with the rare earth minerals and still make a profit. But Trump had a different idea. Well, he's saying he'll continue to send the weapons and everything. But I don't believe that, Docald trump does not you're not going to convince him to keep that war going this is a demand it's one of his extreme demands right he's making an extreme demand yes but in the peace settlement i guarantee. In the peace settlement that's coming up, the U.S. will get the minerals to repay the American people for that $200 billion that we spent.
Starting point is 00:57:13 And I would not be shocked if the rare earth minerals are shared with Russia. As a way to settle the deal. To settle. Tell you what, Mr. Putin, we'll split the rare earth minerals. I think we're headed towards a partnership with Russia. Yeah. And now with the implementation of a sovereign wealth fund, The wealth fund could own 50% of every rare earth mineral we draw out of Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:57:50 Doc, what we've talked about, Zelensky said Ukraine would be big Israel someday. What if it becomes big Palestine? What if Donald Trump says, I got a plan. Yeah, let's move all the Palestinians to Ukraine. Let's call this Palestine. And move two million Palestinians to Ukraine. They all get land.
Starting point is 00:58:16 They all get houses. They get farms, everything. Doc, it's a win-win deal for everybody. Right. Jordan's happy with that. Egypt's happy with that israel's happy with that and the russians would be happy with it the russians would be happy with it i'm not ruling out anything and then the rest of europe who've been harboring all the palestinian refugees over the past 20 years. They all go to Ukraine. Yeah, to new Palestine. Well, you might hit on something there, Rick. I'm going to propose that idea.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Well, President Trump had this to say about I like the way he delivers this, talking about the rare earth. We need the rare earth there. But he is talking about this as security for all the military funding that we're supplying to Ukraine. Let's watch this. Just to clarify, when you said about Ukraine earlier, the rare earths, is that something you want them to give the rare earths to the United States? Yeah. I want to have security of rare earth. We're putting in hundreds of billions of dollars.
Starting point is 00:59:33 They have great rare earth and I want security of the rare earth and they're willing to do it. And he said they're willing to do it. So Zelensky is a player in this. He'll do anything. Zelensky will do anything. But Zelensky's not going to be the guy who signs the deal because he's an illegitimate usurper. But Zelensky's just trying to stay in the game. At this point, yeah. He's done. He's finished. He's going to go back to dancing and playing the piano
Starting point is 00:59:58 and being a lousy TV comedian. This gig is over. I'm going to go through some headlines very quickly here. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, he criticized Donald Trump for selfishness. You're just mad you didn't come up with the idea yourself. You selfish dog. You're going to take... Can you imagine... Can you just imagine what the conversations are between Berlin and Paris and London? And Brussels, yes.
Starting point is 01:00:33 Can you believe what this man is doing? Those were our minerals. That's right. And he's taking them. Well, anyhow. Jens Stoltenberg got a job he's not unemployed anymore he's going to become norway's finance minister after the current government collapsed he used to be the prime minister i don't know what happened to the job at the bank of norway i guess they got tired
Starting point is 01:01:01 of waiting for him i guess so too but he's But he's back. He's running the money. Look, he's the money man. He knows where some of that $100 billion is at. Yes. I guarantee you he knows that. This next story is from the Philippines. Westmencom. That's a new one to me, Doc.
Starting point is 01:01:26 Westmencom, monitoring Chinese warships and philippine waters right so west mincom is uh the area around the northern end of the philippines the monitoring area it means the western mindanao command and they uh shorten it with west mincom assured it's monitoring and this is a big story in the philippines right by the way. The movement of three Chinese warships in the internal waters of the Philippines. It says these three ships came from Mindaro Strait and for several days passed by command two days ago. And our action then was also to shadow and monitor this one frigate, a cruiser, and an oiler. And currently it is a bit too straight, and they're still confirming that these three ships will be participating in the upcoming Komodo exercise of Indonesia with different foreign nations. And so in addition to that, we have this from the Philippine Star, Philstar Global, about Philippine jets and U.S. bombers are jointly in patrol
Starting point is 01:02:23 around Penatag. about uh philippine jets and u.s bombers are jointly in patrol around uh panatog that's the northern part of the waters there uh which is the same area that we were talking about so doc who are they patrolling against china world war three yes philippines is going to be right in the middle of world war three uh news. Look at this. A U.S. ship tested a laser weapon. We're talking directed energy weapon. We've got a video to show you.
Starting point is 01:02:53 Watch this thing fire. Yeah, this is pretty incredible. It's World War III, Doc. It's World War III, directed energy weapons. And folks, if you're seeing this, it just means that we're about 20 years into the technology. They're letting you see it now. I want to get to the Middle East before we close up.
Starting point is 01:03:12 I'm already over the time limit. Reuters, Times of Israel, Trump set to reimpose maximum pressure on Iran, says a White House official. So we're going back to sanctions and so forth against Iran. Now, Benjamin Netanyahu is in town. New York Times. Iran is developing plans for faster, cruder weapons, says the United States. This is New York Times today. Once again, Doc, they're just months away from a nuclear bomb they're accelerating it they're going for a a cruder weapon right a lower class not a not a sophisticated nuclear bomb kind of a lower class nuclear bomb but they're fast tracking it right now that's what the new york times is reporting today because some unnamed sources in washington told the new york times this is true and if that's the case i mean if they're if they're getting ready to develop a weapon
Starting point is 01:04:15 rick then we've got to attack iran right of course so how many times have we seen this story? Iran is accelerating plans to build an atomic bomb. They're weeks away, months away, days away, hours away. We've got to bomb them now. I want to go back. This is 2012. Foreign Affairs, CFR magazine. It's still time to attack Iran. 2012.
Starting point is 01:04:45 Yes. We still have time to attack Iran. 2012. Yes. We still have time to attack Iran. And if that was written in 2012. 13 years ago. But if they said we still have time in 2012, that means they had been trying for quite some time at 2012. Yes. To get the attack going.
Starting point is 01:05:02 And then I've got a, this is an NBC News report. September 2012. Yes. Benjamin Netanyahu at the United Nations warning that Iran was just months away from a nuclear bomb. Watch this. Good evening. I'm Savannah Guthrie in tonight for Brian. In matters of war and peace, we hear a lot about the lines that cannot be crossed. And today we heard another, the red line, the point at which Iran is believed to have what it needs to make a nuclear bomb and the last moment anyone could try to stop it. Today, with the world
Starting point is 01:05:43 watching at the United Nations, the Israeli prime minister drew that line using the simplest of tools, a red marker, to make the gravest of points. We begin tonight with our chief foreign affairs correspondent, Andrea Mitchell. Trying to mobilize the world against what he sees as a threat to Israel's existence, Benjamin Netanyahu armed himself with a simple cartoon to illustrate how close he says Iran is to developing a nuclear weapon. This is a bomb. This is a fuse. A day after Iran's President Ahmadinejad, from the same podium,
Starting point is 01:06:17 called Israel uncivilized Zionists, Netanyahu said Tehran was already 70% toward getting enough nuclear fuel for a bomb and has to be stopped within months. Netanyahu said Tehran was already 70% toward getting enough nuclear fuel for a bomb and has to be stopped within months. If these are the facts, and they are, where should a red line be drawn? A red line should be drawn right here. If these are the facts, and they are, why are they? Because I said so.
Starting point is 01:06:44 That's right. And I brought my magic marker. That's right. Look at this red line. So. 15 years ago. Netanyahu is in Washington. He's meeting with Donald Trump. And you can only imagine what he's trying to get Mr. Trump to do.
Starting point is 01:07:00 I don't think things are going as well. I really do. I don't think things are going as well. I really do. I don't think things are going as well for Mr. Netanyahu this time with Donald Trump. I think Donald Trump is on to Netanyahu. I think he's going to give him a lot of stuff, but he's not going to. I think he's very aware of how devious and sneaky and crafty Netanyahu is. We'll wait and see. I gonna i'm gonna give president trump i'm giving gray stock i'm gonna see what he does now the next story new york post trump thinks
Starting point is 01:07:36 gaza will be a demolition site for up to 15 years and that is best for residents to leave in the meantime. So Mr. Trump said, this is a White House official saying what Mr. Trump is thinking. He sees it as impractical for it to be rebuilt within three to five years, believes it will take at least 10 to 15, and thinks it's inhumane to force people to live in an uninhabitable lot of land with unexploded ordnance and rubble. That's true, sir. But who did that? Israel.
Starting point is 01:08:12 Israel did that to Gaza. It wasn't uninhabitable two years ago. They had buildings. They had water. They had sewage. They had hospitals. They had schools and colleges. Israel blew it up.
Starting point is 01:08:27 And they're doing the same thing now in the West Bank. They're tearing up the streets, ripping up the water lines. So, Mr. Trump says, clean out the whole thing. He said that the other day. Okay, so if you're looking at it from Mr. Trump's viewpoint as a builder, he would say, there's no way I could go in there and build. If I got a contract to rebuild Gaza, I couldn't do it. Right. Because you got two million people living in tents. Right. In the rubble. You got to move everything out and then rebuild.
Starting point is 01:08:59 Does Mr. Trump know that the Israelis will never allow the Palestinians to come back in? Does he know that? I can't speak for him because I don't know. Well, that's why he's saying this 10 to 15 year time period. Right. He's a builder. He would know, Doc.
Starting point is 01:09:17 He would know. They destroyed what took centuries to build. Okay. This idea that I came up with a few minutes ago. That's radical. Move them to Ukraine. Solves a whole bunch of issues, doesn't it? It does. And the Palestinians, actually, life would be better for them.
Starting point is 01:09:47 They'd have land that's productive. They'd have farms. They would actually have, the land is much better in Ukraine than it is in Palestine. But, you know, Palestine's in their blood. But when you're living in rubble, you don't have much of a choice on this thing the White House this is President Trump talking about
Starting point is 01:10:12 whether he would agree to Israel annexing the West Bank yeah watch how he answered this yes I did watch this it's a small country in terms of land I take see this pen this wonderful pen My desk is the Middle East and this pen, the top of the pen. That's Israel. That's not good. Right. You know, it's a pretty big difference.
Starting point is 01:10:35 I use that as an analogy. It's pretty accurate, actually. It's it's a pretty small piece of land. And it's amazing that they've been able to do what they've been able to do. When you think about it, there's a lot of good, smart brainpower, but it is a very small piece of land, no question about it. Which thoughts? He's saying he's okay with acquiring the West Bank without saying it. Exactly. But you've got to get rid of the Palestinians. Yes. And you've got to do it in a way that you don't get accused of genocide and ethnic cleansing. Right.
Starting point is 01:11:11 And the place that's empty right now is Ukraine. Yes. Because the Ukrainians... You hit a radical idea there. You've got... You know the second largest population of Palestinians is in Chile?
Starting point is 01:11:30 Yeah, you told me that, yes. That there's a large community of Palestinians in Chile. Look at this next headline. This is Haratz, Jewish newspaper. Will Trump and Witkoff fall into the same trap that
Starting point is 01:11:47 Netanyahu set for Biden? You just get a Jewish paper in Israel saying you got to watch that Netanyahu guy. He's a sly, sly man. He got Biden in a trap. Biden couldn't get out of it.
Starting point is 01:12:04 Is Trump going to fall into the same trap and they tell you that the line that that bb will use says the argument at the heart of this trap sounds very reasonable otherwise it wouldn't be successful it goes something like this israel can't comply with the terms of the second stage of the ceasefire and hostage release agreement because hamas hasn't yet been replaced by a different governing power in gaza in order to truly end the war there the argument goes the war must first be renewed so that hamas can be replaced even if that means the death of the remaining hostages. Now that's Netanyahu. Yes. Will Donald Trump fall for that line? What Netanyahu is saying is
Starting point is 01:12:51 let me get back to bombing. I've got people to kill. I know for a fact that there are children still breathing. Terrorist children. Terrorist children. They're still breathing. We have to kill them. Netanyahu's madness is to kill every Palestinian alive. Next story, Harrods, why Netanyahu met Musk and evangelicals but not the U.S. Jews.
Starting point is 01:13:24 He didn't have time to meet with american jews but he had time to meet with elon musk and evangelical leaders like john hage yes why musk well obviously musk has the year of the president and i think i think netanyahu cut a deal with mus Musk a couple years ago when they took down his advertising. Remember when they shut his advertising down? And he had a meeting with Netanyahu and suddenly the advertising came back. It's like magic. Just like a docket was magic. Jewish News Syndicate, JNS.
Starting point is 01:14:02 Evangelicals encourage Netanyahu ahead of Oval Office visit. So 20 major evangelicals, Christian leaders met with Netanyahu at the Blair House last night, Monday night, ahead of Netanyahu's planned Oval Office meeting with Donald Trump today. John Hagee was there. Mike Huckabee was there. Franklin Graham. Ralph Reed. Tony Perkins. And many more. Why is Mr. Netanyahu, he didn't he skipped the Jewish leaders. He didn't have time for Jewish leaders. But didn't have time for Jewish leaders.
Starting point is 01:14:48 But he had time for John Hagee. Well, we have a saying back home, Rick. You know where your bread is buttered. Let's put number 35. That's the one. Netanyahu, not scheduled to meet American Jewish leaders. Well, who's butter and who's bread? Because I think he butters their bread.
Starting point is 01:15:19 And he knows he's got a power base with the American church leaders. Yes. Netanyahu is a master propagandist, and he's got to keep the propaganda going and you know he told them last night I've got to kill more Palestinians it's God's will for me to occupy that land you've got to stand with me we've got to move the Palestinians out it's God's will
Starting point is 01:15:40 and all those evangelicals are going to go back to their churches and tell their congregations, God wants those Palestinians dead. And now with Donald Trump saying we've got to move the Palestinians out. And Israel is a little tiny country. Yeah, it's a little bitty country in the Middle East. It needs to be bigger. It needs more land. Now, the Jerusalem Post today said Netanyahu may concede on West Bank annexation favoring a Saudi Arabian deal.
Starting point is 01:16:11 Don't believe it? He's just tricking everybody. I don't believe it. Even the picture kind of says it there, too, doesn't it? He'll get both, Doc. He'll get the Saudi deal and the annexation. Yeah, because Saudis don't care who's in the West Bank. Okay, that's it. I'm 17 minutes over. Thank you, everybody. Appreciate you
Starting point is 01:16:31 watching True News, spending this time with us today. Oh, today's Morning Manna is a good one. Oh, yeah. I really encourage you to watch today's Morning Manna. And we're going to continue in Romans probably, what, two months? It'll take us that long? Easily. Easily? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:17:13 At the rate we're going. Yeah. We seem to be slogging through about a verse or two at a time here right now. Today was pretty deep today. Very deep. Thank you, everybody. Those of you who support us, God bless you. You know who you are.

Starting point is 01:17:58 I really do. I pray. Let mercy and goodness chase them all day. Praise God. All right. Just chase you everywhere you go. Now, if you're not in my prayers, I'd like you to become involved in my prayers so I could pray that blessing on you too. I want mercy and goodness to chase you too.

You'll be riding this inflation wave. don't let it take you under ride this inflation wave be on top of it we can't stop it it's going to be here for at least 10 years so you better learn to surf on it and the way that you surf on that inflation wave is by being a giver. And God will increase your income.
Starting point is 01:20:47 I promise you he will do it. I'm absolutely certain he will do it. How do I know? Because he can't lie. That's right. He can't lie. He's the God that cannot fail. He will.

We are studying the book of Romans, and we are in chapter 3, and we're going to be looking at verses 13 through 20.
Starting point is 01:22:08 And this one is going to be a foot stomper, not you stomping your feet or me, but it's going to be the Holy Spirit stomping on our feet. This is a very serious lesson on what we do with our mouth, our tongue. And God takes this very seriously. I hope you stay for today's lesson and apply it. I came under conviction just preparing the lesson, Doc. This is one of the, the you know it's like the book of james you can't you can't read or teach james without oh that's true yeah pulling
Starting point is 01:22:53 the blanket up over your head and going what was me all right oh god have mercy on me a sinner. So let's pray. Father God, Father, we love you. We praise you. We worship you. We glorify you, Father. Father, we have gathered together, brothers and sisters from many nations. We've come in this virtual classroom to be taught by your spirit. And so we humbly and enthusiastically, warmly and sincerely invite the Holy Spirit into this Bible study to teach us your word. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen. So, Doc, verses 13 through 30. All right. And if you've got your Bibles, please open it up to Romans chapter 3. And I just want to say thank you to everyone that's here this morning and joining us live here for Morning Manna. And we appreciate you, and we appreciate your participation in the discussion, questions that you ask, and the comments that you leave. And so for those that are faithful to dig deeper into the word, starting at verse 13,
Starting point is 01:24:10 going to verse 20, their throat is an open sepulcher. With their tongues, they have used deceit. The poison of asps is under their lips. Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood. Destruction and misery are in their ways, and the way of peace have they not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes. Verse 19, Now we know that what thing soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Starting point is 01:24:53 Therefore by the deeds of the law shall no flesh be justified in his sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. God bless the reading of his word today. Amen. Amen. Amen. Some remarks about the book of Romans that I want to point out. If we go back to verse 3 of chapter 3
Starting point is 01:25:24 that we're studying. Paul said, for what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Well, doctor, in some study that I did last night, I learned something about the impact of the book of Romans. In the fifth century, Augustine was converted while reading Romans 13. Martin Luther was converted while reading Romans 1-7 John Wesley was converted and born again
Starting point is 01:26:14 on May 24, 1738 as he read Luther's commentary on Romans John Bunyan, who wrote Pilgrim's Progress, was converted by reading Luther's writings. So, Romans 3.3, for what if some did not believe?
Starting point is 01:26:38 Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? But what about those who did believe? Yes. And I quoted three people, three major Christian leaders, Augustine, Martin Luther, and John Wesley, who got saved reading Romans. And John Bunyan saved through reading the works of Martin Luther, who got converted while reading Romans.
Starting point is 01:27:10 So, Doc, this book is powerful. It is. It is a powerful. I mean, look at three of them, three of the strongest leaders in the church history, Augustine, Luther, and Wesley, got saved reading this book. Okay, that's my history lesson. We'll go to verse 13. Are you ready?
Starting point is 01:27:41 Their throat is an open sepulcher. With their tongues they have used to see. The poison of asp is under their lips. So now Paul, he gets personal now. He's been talking about the sinfulness of mankind. But now he goes, he goes, you say he's going for the jugular, he's going for the throat now. What he's doing, he's continuing his indictment of human sinfulness. And he's specifically going after the corruption of speech.
Starting point is 01:28:32 Yes. Nobody's going to wiggle out of this one. So what we're going to study today is Paul's condemnation of sinful speech. And as we will see in these verses, he quotes Psalm 5-9 and Psalm 143 to show that humanity's words are filled with deceit, destruction, poison. So we'll start with Psalm 5, 9. The Psalm says, for there is no faithfulness in their mouth. Their inward part is very wickedness. Their throat is an open sepulcher.
Starting point is 01:29:23 They flatter with their tongue. So when Paul said their throat is an open sepulcher, he's quoting Psalm 5-9. He's drawing a very vivid metaphor of moral decay, moral rot, moral corruption. And what he's teaching is that what comes out of a person's mouth reflects the corruption within that person. Amen. I remember, Doug, many, many, many years ago when I was a fairly new Christian, only a couple of years, and the place I was working, there was one of my co-workers had a really vulgar mouth, extremely vulgar. I couldn't say a sentence without extreme profanity. He was a nice person, liked him, but his speech was just filthy okay and uh one of the other characters knew that I was a young Christian and and he tried to try to make up for this guy and he was like Rick now he you
Starting point is 01:30:57 know when this person went aside he goes you know now he's he's a nice guy he's a nice guy. He's a good guy. He cusses so much because he doesn't know how to express himself. And I said, remember this, Doc, I'd only been a Christian for maybe a year or two. And I said, no, that's not true. I said, he is expressing himself. Yes. And I remember the look on that person's face and i said no what what's coming out of him is what's inside of him so this is what paul's teaching um an open sepulcher what's a sepulcher it's a grave right if if there was an open grave what would you see inside of it
Starting point is 01:31:56 you know what if we didn't cover graves up what if we didn't seal tombs what if they were open what would you see? Dead bodies. Rotten, decayed, stinking bodies. Smelly, you know. Not very pretty to look at. So a grave contains death and decay. Sinful speech. Sinful speech represents, I'm talking about, and we're not just going to be talking about vulgar speech. Bitter speech, hateful speech, unbelief speech. All of it fits in this category as sinful.
Starting point is 01:32:52 You may never say a dirty, vulgar word in your life, but if your words are full of unbelief and doubt, you might as well just go ahead and cuss. It's not just, and in this verse, it's not just rottenness and dead bodies. There's snakes down in there too. Poisonous snakes. As if the dead and rottenness wasn't enough, now you have poisonous snakes down there too. That's right.
Starting point is 01:33:26 That's right. That's right. A lot of Christians don't understand that their speech of unbelief and doubt is just as sinful as a sentence full of four-letter words. So
Starting point is 01:33:43 the mouth is like an open grave, open tomb an open sepulcher the spiritual rot and moral decay is within the human heart so our speech reveals inner corruption just as a a tomb releases a stench, sinful words expose the depravity of the soul. And so when somebody is a foul mouth or bitter or angry, all these words you're going to see it's not just you know what we call cussing in heaven cursing takes in a lot of of speech like i said unbelief is is included it bitter words violent words hateful words lying words okay so now we get to deceit with their tongues they have used deceit
Starting point is 01:34:57 he's talking about the the pervasive nature in humans to be dishonest. Yes. Our natural inclination is to be dishonest. We need the Holy Spirit to be honest. Lying is a fundamental part of human sinfulness. So I make, I mean, I say it jokingly, but it's true.
Starting point is 01:35:32 People go to court. Judge says, raise your right hand, swear to tell the truth. Nothing but the truth. So you're swearing. What you're saying is, I swear that for the next 15 minutes, I won't lie. Which means what?
Starting point is 01:35:48 You're saying to the court ordinarily I'm lying all day but I'm telling you, Judge, right now while I'm seated on this seat, I will give up lying. When I get off this seat, I'll start lying again.
Starting point is 01:36:05 Isn't that what an oath is? Yes. That's why Jesus said, don't swear these oaths. Don't lie. Let your yes be yes and your no be no. So lying is a fundamental part of human sinfulness. We have a fallen nature we have a fallen nature because adam and eve sinned and why did they sin
Starting point is 01:36:45 eve believed the lie of satan He is the father of lies. So all lying comes from Satan. Yes. All lying. There's no such thing as a little white lie. There's no such thing. It's just a little film. It's all a lie.
Starting point is 01:37:04 It's a lie. If it's not the truth lie it's a lie if it's not the truth it's a lie um that's why you shouldn't tell your kids that there's a santa claus you're lying to them. Or the tooth fairy or the Easter bunny or honest politicians. There's nothing wrong with telling your children, hey, Santa Claus is an imaginary person. This is imaginary. It's okay.
Starting point is 01:37:46 Children have great imaginations. There's no problem with that. Tell them up front, it's imaginary. It's okay. Children have great imaginations. There's no problem with that. Tell them up front, it's imaginary. Or tell them, hey, Santa Claus is an imaginary person, but there was a person, a real person named St. Nicholas. Tell them the true story. Anyhow. Right.
Starting point is 01:38:05 I'm just showing you, giving you examples of how much lying is part of our society. Oftentimes, deceit is used for personal gain. And that's one of the most damaging aspects of lying. People lie to get an advantage over somebody else, to conceal the truth that other person needs to know. I... A few months ago, it's not a person, not an employee here. It was a business person. And I observed a tendency to get very close to a lie in dealing with people. How do you get close to a lie?
Starting point is 01:39:16 Doc, I said to this gentleman who is a professing Christian, I said, a lot of things that you say are borderline lies and his response was i don't have a problem with it if it's borderline okay i don't have a problem with it if it's borderline. He knew he was deliberately saying things to people, and it was part of his life, part of his business. Deliberately saying things that were just on the edge of being a lie. And that's how he did it. And in his mind as long as he didn't cross the line
Starting point is 01:40:07 he was okay you want to know what happened to him while he was involved with us he got cancer in the tongue that's true doc that's absolutely true you got cancer in the tongue sure did folks this is serious stuff that man was working with ministries
Starting point is 01:40:48 and yet himself he he skirted the borders of lying yes so he was intentionally not lying in order to lie
Starting point is 01:41:03 he was working at how close can I get with my words that I haven't told a lie? He was lying with the truth. Lying with the truth. Okay. Anybody out there? Have you pulled the cover over your head yet have you crawled under the desk yet it's going to get more serious
Starting point is 01:41:31 so when it talks about deceit there I mean that's deceit isn't it isn't that deception to do that Rick yes it's deceit so this verse speaks right to it. To get the advantage over someone for personal gain.
Starting point is 01:41:58 So humankind, we're just naturally inclined towards dishonesty and manipulation and that means that sin affects you know our most basic form of interaction with other people which is speech speech yes so now we get to the poison of vipers the poison of asp an asp is a viper a poisonous snake the poison of vipers is under their lips uh now he's quoting psal, verse 3, where wicked people are described as having venomous words. Psalm 140, verse 3 says, they have sharpened their tongues like a serpent. Adder's poison is under their lips.
Starting point is 01:43:16 So Paul has chosen as an example, the asp, which is a extremely deadly snake. And why would he choose as an example, one of the most poisonous snakes in the world. Because he's teaching that speech brings emotional and spiritual destruction. It brings death. The poison is under their lips. The deadly poison is disguised. It's hidden. It's subtle. It's waiting for the right moment to inflict harm.
Starting point is 01:44:00 It's right there under the lips. Do you know anybody in your life just be having a conversation everything's okay and then all of a sudden they strength oh oh oh did that hurt doc did you feel did you feel fangs going going into you? No, but now I know why Paul used 140 verse 3. They sharpened their tongue. Like a weapon. So they used their tongues like a weapon. Oh,
Starting point is 01:44:38 thank you. I didn't see that. They sharpened their tongues. They file their tongues. They file their tongues. They make it. They deliberately file their tongues to make them pointed and sharp. But the poison is hidden under the lips. Yes.
Starting point is 01:45:00 It means that when you can be talking to a person and you don't realize that they have poison hidden under their lips waiting on the moment to put their fangs in you and inject the poison into your spirit And you know what's interesting about snake venom and aspen venom, Rick, is what it does, what the venom actually does is it necrotizes flesh. It makes flesh rot. That's what it does. So when a cobra spits venom at you and you get it on you without him even biting you, the venom itself will cause your flesh to die where the venom hits. And if a snake or an asp happens to bite you and puts venom into your bloodstream, it begins the process of rotting the flesh from the inside out.
Starting point is 01:46:10 You basically die. Like a black widow spider. Right. I had a thought about something. So, the poison is under the lip. The tongue has been sharpened. They're hiding the poison under their lip.
Starting point is 01:46:42 They're waiting on the moment to sink their tongue and their fangs into you yes maybe this is the moment where everybody should lay down on the couch and I'll be the psychiatrist okay how easy is it for you to think to recall poisonous words spoken to you.
Starting point is 01:47:09 How easy is it? That words spoken do not always mean nasty. Sometimes the poison is to deflate your faith and confidence. This morning I was praying and a thought came to me of something said to me before I was saved, when I was still in high school. Something that was said to me that I was saved, when I was still in high school, something that was said to me that wounded me greatly. I just thought about that this morning. You know what? Now I realize the Lord was showing me fangs were put into you. Words, words, poisonous words were put into you and you're still decades later remembering the impact of those words.
Starting point is 01:48:15 Don't we all need to be healed? We all need to be healed of the words people have spoken to us and we need to be forgiven for words that we've spoken to others because words carry incredible power they can they can heal and they can destroy they can bring life they can bring death they can build up they can destroy. They can bring life. They can bring death. They can build up. They can tear down. God made everything with words. He never got his hands dirty making the universe.
Starting point is 01:49:06 Maybe the only time he got his hands dirty was when he made Adam because he had to scoop together some dirt make it wet he had to pour some water on it had to get this thing wet okay but everything else you know he created everything but he made Adam he created the universe but he made Adam. He created the universe, but he made Adam. It was handmade. God did not speak Adam into existence. He made him. In his image.
Starting point is 01:49:41 Everything else he created. He spoke it into existence. He did not speak Adam into existence he made it he formed him yes that was worth the price of admission today by the way folks I'll be pondering on that all day yeah our father we're handmade isn't something that's handmade more important to you that's right okay
Starting point is 01:50:10 so Paul's quoting these two Psalms 5 verse 9 and 140 verse 3 he's reinforcing this idea that sinful speech is both historical, because all the way back to Adam and Eve, and it's universal. It's worldwide. And it has infected everybody, Jews and Gentiles.
Starting point is 01:50:46 And you don't even have to teach a child to lie. A child will lie on its own. Never being taught to lie. Yeah. Right? Johnny, what were you doing? Did you take the cookie? Right.
Starting point is 01:51:01 No. Who took the cookie? The dog. I can... right no who took the cookie the dog i could i could show you videos of my old dog gator doc when i'd catch him doing something he'd have a guilty look on his face oh yeah fudge is the same way if i come home how do they know how do they know yeah i'll come home and i'll walk in the door from the garage and if fudge is walking up to him normally he's like bouncing and everything but if he comes up to me and his head's down and his tails between his legs i said all right what'd
Starting point is 01:51:38 you do just go show me go show me and he'll walk he'll take me over to what he did and so whatever it was that he did how you know and even animals god programmed that into animals how much more so in you human beings yes that's right we all know right and wrong so you know at this point um Paul is he's going back addressing the Jewish Readers say hey just for you just to remind you um we Jews don't get a pass we're just as guilty as the gentiles so what the other reason for quoting the the the psalms is that showing that human depravity is not a new problem it's always been condemned by god in the scripture it's existed since the fall of man um since the fall of man? You know, Satan lied to Eve
Starting point is 01:52:55 and Eve changed the word of God. Yes. He changed it. Now, what we don't know is whether Satan gave her the wrong, changed the words that God spoke, or whether she changed the words. We don't know. Or Adam taught her wrong. Or maybe Adam taught her wrong. Or Adam taught her wrong or maybe Adam taught her wrong or Adam taught her right and she didn't listen or Adam taught her right
Starting point is 01:53:29 and she in her mind added to what Adam said right God told Adam you cannot eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil Eve said you can't eat it and you can't look at it
Starting point is 01:53:51 god didn't say that she added to the word of god that's religion that's religion religion adds to the word of god that's right um so nobody's nobody is exempt we're all guilty uh even those who consider themselves morally upright are guilty of sinful speech the pope is guilty guilty. Mother Teresa was guilty. Everybody. Okay. There's nobody who's innocent. Sinful speech exists in everyday conversations, politics, business, religion, churches, everywhere. It permeates society. So, and it crosses all social, economic boundaries.
Starting point is 01:54:59 It's universal. You know, right now, the biggest headline right now as far as U.S. news right now is what's going on with USAID. All right. And what has been exposed is the lies. Right. Yes. The lies. yes the lies there they were deceitfully using u.s taxpayer dollars to influence uh nations and even the american public yes they were using taxpayer money to lie yes so it permeates everything that we do our conversation our our culture, our politics. What is, you know, you watch TV and you watch a drama or a movie. These are people pretending to be something that they're not. They're hypocrites.
Starting point is 01:55:57 Yes. An actor or an actress is a hypocrite. A person portraying somebody that they are not. And it's interesting that the early church would not allow people to become members of the church if they were involved in acting. That's straight out of the Didache. That's right. If you performed in the theatrical arts, you had to
Starting point is 01:56:25 walk away from that. You had to deny it. You could not be a participant in theatrical arts and be considered a member of a local assembly because it was a lie. They looked at it as a lie.
Starting point is 01:56:42 Yes. The other night I was watching an old video of Lester Sumrall. And, you know, he passed away years ago. But he told a story that sometime in the mid-1930s, he was living in Great Britain and he was introduced to Smith Wigglesworth. And he used to go to Smith Wigglesworth's house as a young man
Starting point is 01:57:17 to be mentored by Smith Wigglesworth. But Doc, he said the first time he went to Wigglesworth's house, he had a newspaper rolled up under his arm knocked on the door Smith Wigglesworth who's this big tall patrician dignified man opens the door looks at the newspaper under his arm and goes now man, what is under your arm? This is a newspaper, sir. He says, you will not bring it into my house.
Starting point is 01:57:51 It's full of lies. Throw it away. He would not allow a newspaper in his house. That's how adamant he was about. I can't allow anything that contradicts the word of god to be in my house would we turn off the news networks would we stop looking at news but what do i look look how much time we spend in the modern world looking at news. And most of it are lies.
Starting point is 01:58:33 And so what do we do? We spend our time dissecting and analyzing the lies. That's a lie. That's a lie. That's a lie. That's a lie. Lying, deceiving. Why are we doing that? Why not just declare they're all liars?
Starting point is 01:58:55 I'm going to spend my time with the word. I just convicted myself. No true news today, dog. You notice we call it true news, okay? Which in itself was to say news is fake. It's deceitful. I want to talk about the effect of lying, and not just lying. This is sinful speech. Sinful speech is more than lying. It's more than cussing.
Starting point is 01:59:49 Sinful speech reflects inner corruption, and it destroys relationships. It causes division and strife in families, in friendships, in churches, in businesses, the workplace. Lying, deceit, harmful words, bitter words, mean words, slander, slander and gossip, false accusations. They're part of sinful speech. You know, if you have somebody you just don't like, and every time that person's name comes up, you just spew out something ugly about that person, you've got a problem. You have a serious problem.
Starting point is 02:00:35 If somebody can't say somebody's name without triggering an ugly outburst from your mouth, then you have a problem. And I know people like that. Yes. Just have to avoid certain names because they don't like them. And they become, you see the blood red face, they get tense, they just start saying ugly things about somebody. Things they can't even prove. But in their mind, they can prove it.
Starting point is 02:01:02 They've made it up in their minds. Well, okay, so now we're starting to get into bitterness, anger. Okay. So words shape relationships. But relationships can be poisoned by sinful speech. And when that happens, what enters is distrust, division, strife, eventually destruction. Jesus said, this is Matthew 12, verses 36, 37, for by your words, you will be justified,
Starting point is 02:01:44 and by your words, you will be justified. And by your words, you will be condemned. Yes. Condemned. By your words. His word will judge you on judgment day. And your words will either justify you or condemn you. That's a... Oh my, God have mercy on us.
Starting point is 02:02:22 God will judge our words. Yes. Yes. James. James 3, verse 6. James said, and the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. So is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire of hell. So the Bible doesn't separate speech from morality,
Starting point is 02:02:58 because what one says is just as important as what one does. Speech is not neutral. Right. There's no such thing as neutral speech. It has a moral weight and God will judge it accordingly. So because all speech is corrupted by sin, the only solution is divine transformation. And only Christ can only Jesus Christ can replace deceit with truth, venom with grace, corruption with holiness. Ephesians 4, verse 29.
Starting point is 02:03:57 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. So true transformation comes when the heart is changed by the Holy Spirit. And that's the only time that the mouth can produce pure speech. So Jesus redeems human speech. He transforms it from an instrument of destruction into a tool for grace, for healing, for truth. Our words should always be uplifting, encouraging, always pointing people towards faith in God. Then Paul says, verse 14, whose mouth, again, cursing is not just saying dirty words.
Starting point is 02:05:12 Right. words of bitterness, words of insults, verbal attacks against other people. Remember, those people that are being attacked with words, they are sons and daughters of God. Whether they're saved or unsaved, they're still his sons and daughters. He made them in his image. So when you're cursing somebody,
Starting point is 02:05:52 you're cursing somebody made in the image of God. And that's blasphemy. I don't think, I think a lot of Christians don't take seriously the sin of verbal aggression towards other
Starting point is 02:06:16 people verbal aggression you know some people are physically aggressive. They'll fight. Right. Oh, sorry. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:06:30 Put your fist down. All right. But other people will fight with their words. They'll fight with their emotions. They'll get up in your face. They'll get into your space. They'll come after you and their words are just spewing venom and hatred and anger and bitterness that's that is emotional verbal aggression it's
Starting point is 02:06:58 violent it's verbal hostility and verbal hostility comes from a rebellious heart. Yes. A heart of a person who has not submitted and surrendered to God. Because if you were submitted and surrendered to God, you would not aggressively attack another person. Doc, do we still have people with us? Oh, yeah. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 02:07:38 360 are still with us. All right. Good. You know, like I was wondering, okay okay it's very quiet i'm wondering how many people are with me all right am i just talking to doc right now i can see doc all right doc needs to hear it so so so cursing is not just offensive speech not just vulgar four-letter words. Cursing is deep-seated hatred and rebellion and moral decay that flows up out of a heart that is an open grave, an open sepulcher
Starting point is 02:08:19 with poisonous lips. He said that the mouth is full of bitterness. Bitterness is deep-seated resentment. Yes. Somebody who's bitter towards another person deeply resents that other person. And has hostility and anger towards that person deeply resents that other person and has hostility and anger towards that person bitterness is not a fleeting moment of anger you know we you just get upset and you say something and then you calm down you oh i'm sorry i'm sorry i said that i should not have done that now bitterness is bitterness is the true feeling of that
Starting point is 02:09:12 person towards another person right you know it's an ongoing condition. And bitter words destroy relationships, destroys marriages,, well, she's looking for another job. I said, wow, she had her other job for like 20 years. What happened? And he said, oh, because her employer hired this woman and I don't know she just came into the workplace and within a couple months there was just chaos and people started quitting yes see that's that's a person who's got poison under their lips
Starting point is 02:10:26 brings destruction everywhere they go just destroys relationships wherever they go pits one person against another lies
Starting point is 02:10:37 slanders schemes and plots I've seen people like that all my life. Trying to get somebody else in trouble. Trying to get the boss to believe something bad
Starting point is 02:10:53 about another person. Seen it for years. You got to get those people out. Got to clear them out. They'll destroy your organization. If you have somebody like that in your in your organization you got to get rid of them don't try to fix them don't try to change them fire them and get them out nope a rattlesnake crawling into your office you wouldn't let it
Starting point is 02:11:20 there right say well maybe maybe I can talk him into not being a rattlesnake he's a rattlesnake uh again we go back um all right psalm 10 7. his mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud. Under his tongue is mischief and vanity. See, Paul's getting this from Scripture. He's just quoting Scripture. And he's showing the folks in the Roman church, this has been going on for a long time. This is not a new issue.
Starting point is 02:12:05 It has plagued humanity since ancient times. It's in the Psalms. The mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud. Under the tongue is mischief and vanity and poison. Jesus said, this is Matthew 12, verse 34, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.
Starting point is 02:12:39 Whatever, whatever comes out of your mouth is what's filling up your heart. That's what I say I can read a person after about five minutes of conversation. I just listen to them. What are you talking about? What do you want to talk about? You know, you meet people who say they're Christians and you try to get them to talk about Jesus and they don't want to talk about Jesus.
Starting point is 02:13:16 They want to talk about politics. They want to talk about sports. They want to talk about, you know, conspiracy. How about Jesus? You want to talk about you know conspiracy. How about Jesus? You want to talk about Jesus? Nope. Always something else. Okay.
Starting point is 02:13:34 Jesus isn't filling your heart, is he? No. He's on your mind all day long. You're not in love with Jesus. For out of the abundance of the heart, the heart the mouth speaks words are the clearest indicators of a person's inner spiritual condition when you go to the doctor, what's the doctor say?
Starting point is 02:14:05 Stick out your tongue. Why does the doctor want to look at your tongue? Because he can tell. Yes. He'll know what, if you got sickness in your body by the condition of your tongue. God says, hey, stick out your tongue.
Starting point is 02:14:23 That's good, Rick. I'm going to see what's inside of you. Oh, there's some disease. So another thing to understand is words are not accidental. Oh, that just slipped out. Then it flowed out it flowed out just like water flowing out of a spring spring water doesn't just slip out it flows out because there's an abundance of it. Why does spring water come through the ground? Because there's so much of it under the ground.
Starting point is 02:15:08 Right. The ground can't contain it. Can't contain it. So filthy speech, sinful speech, bitter speech, slander, lying, whatever it is, it just bubbles up and it comes out. So sinful words, again, I want to drive this home, sinful words cover all of these things, from filthy cursing to unbelief, negativity,
Starting point is 02:15:40 criticism, reviling, where there's a, ooh, that's a topic we got to study someday. Revilers will not enter the kingdom of God. We need to do a study on that one. What does it mean to revile? What has to do with your mouth? A revile. What has to do with your mouth? A reviler. It will not enter the kingdom of God.
Starting point is 02:16:13 So what we say exposes what is truly in our hearts. A sinful speech is the evidence of a corrupt heart. There is death and decay in the heart of somebody who constantly speaks sinful words. Yes. Death and decay. Paul said full of, full of cursing and bitterness.
Starting point is 02:16:45 Not just occasional. It is part of their being. You can't just be occasionally bitter. It's good, yeah. There's something stirring inside of you something bubbling a hatred of hostility towards somebody look holy spirit right now is dealing with people who are you hostile towards who are you bitter towards who are you abusive to with your words yeah who are you abusive to with your words. Yeah. Who are you abusive to with your words? Oh, doc, abusers, verbal abusers tell themselves I'm justified in this because of what that person did to me. Really? Show me the
Starting point is 02:17:37 scripture. Show me the scripture that if somebody wrongs you, you have a license from heaven to be bitter and abusive. Show me that scripture. You have a license? You get a permit like a driver's license. Oh, okay. It said motor vehicles, you know vehicles the mouth department of heaven
Starting point is 02:18:08 has issued you a license to curse has issued you a license to slander nobody else can do it but you got a license everybody else is prohibited but because of you because you're special, because that person really did you wrong, you have a right to be full of bitterness and anger and curse that person.
Starting point is 02:18:38 Show me the scripture. Well, you can't show it to me. That means you got a phony license. You're driving on a you're speaking on a phony license. OK, so. Again, this is things don't just slip out of your mouth um i mentioned uh earlier the the effects of sinful Sinful speech creates hostility. It breaks trust. It fuels division. How about verbal violence? You know anybody in your life that practices verbal violence?
Starting point is 02:19:51 Anybody like that? Maybe. I hope it's not you I hope you don't commit verbal violence are you a a verbal slasher there are people and I've had people in my life doc that the only way i was able to you know to cope with who they are what they are i just pictured them as a as a verbal slasher you know somebody that would hide behind a bush with a big knife and you're walking down the sidewalk and they jump out of the bush and they cut you with the knife and they wipe the blood off and they go down the sidewalk whistling as though nothing happened and you're back there bleeding and somebody says to the slasher what happened why is that guy on the ground bleeding I don't know I don't know looks like something happened to him
Starting point is 02:20:53 Have you ever dealt with people like that? They attack in secrecy where nobody can see or hear them they get you when nobody else is around How many hands are up right now anybody have anybody like that in your life now or in the past that attacks when nobody else is around and you can't you can't show anybody what they do it's done in such a veil of secrecy. They make sure nobody sees or hears their verbal violence. Make sure you don't do that.
Starting point is 02:21:46 Passive aggressive people are like that. Passive aggressive, okay? See, a passive aggressive person, there's different stages of passive aggressive. I used to think that passive aggressive was, you know, like one moment they're calm and the next moment they're violent. That's not passive aggressive. Passive aggressive is somebody that, let's say they compliment you. My, Karen, that's such a beautiful new dress you have.
Starting point is 02:22:25 That is awesome. You know, if you lost another 10 pounds, you would be stunning. There it is. They got the venom in you. That's passive aggressive. Compliment and slap. And there are people that do this all the time. Yes.
Starting point is 02:22:46 They just do it all the time. I know people. Oh, my, my life. That's like when the moment you get around them and you're just thinking to yourself. When are they going to get me? Yeah. It's coming. It's coming.
Starting point is 02:23:05 All right. You just like, I got to get out of this room because they're going to get me. And sometimes you're lucky and they don't get you. They get somebody else. And you're, hold up. I escaped. They sunk their fangs into the guy next to me. Why?
Starting point is 02:23:27 They want a reaction. And they are feeding themselves. They feed off of your reaction. That's their supply. They need it. They attack you to get a reaction so they can feed negative energy back into themselves. Yes. And the way you deal with it is don't give them the reaction. That
Starting point is 02:24:00 drives them crazy. It totally drives them crazy. They got to find somebody else because they need the, they need the, it's like a vampire. They're like vampires. They got to get blood. So they're trying to get blood out of you. And so they got to look for somebody else. But there are people like that that have that need for negative
Starting point is 02:24:27 feeding they've got to embarrass somebody they've got to wound somebody every day to get fed it's a vampire Jesus said by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be justified and by your words
Starting point is 02:24:47 you will be condemned God takes every word seriously every word every single word James no man can tame the tongue it is as a restless evil full of deadly poison how many times have we heard here today about poison in the mouth under the lips in the mouth, under the lips, in the tongue. And by ourselves, without Christ, we are totally powerless to control our tongue. Amen.
Starting point is 02:25:40 You have to have the Holy Spirit in you to control your tongue. And you have to be submitted to the Holy Spirit to allow him to control your tongue. And you have to be submitted to the Holy Spirit to allow him to control your tongue. There are people that, churches everywhere, claim to be Christians and their tongue is just slashing and cutting people all day long. Well, they're not committed to Christ.
Starting point is 02:26:02 No, they're not. They're not believers if they live that lifestyle they've convinced themselves that god gave them a license nobody else can do it but they got a license they got a a license to slander a slice a license to cut and and slice people see it's only god's grace that can transform our speech. People who are redeemed by Jesus Christ will replace sinful words with words of grace, words of encouragement, words of truth.
Starting point is 02:26:48 Because it's the Holy Spirit that empowers us to speak words of love, forgiveness, blessing. Doctor, I have time. Oh, I'm over. Okay. We'll pick up verse 15 tomorrow. Praise the Lord. Well, this is a good lesson today and folks we need to watch our mouths we really need to watch our mouths and the things that we
Starting point is 02:27:14 say this isn't for the folks out there this is for the folks in here today and you, it's so easy sometimes to slip into that kind of talk, sarcastic talk. Man, that's something I got to deal with a lot. And that's what the Holy Spirit is convicting me of right now. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. And why don't we speak life? Greg Reiter said today's lesson was a sledgehammer i told you told you in the beginning you better get ready it'll be a confession booth for all of us it's going to be crowded confession booth it'd be 359 of us inside of it today, confessing to the Lord.
Starting point is 02:28:07 Here's the deal, though. Now that we're aware of this, we can confess it. And that's something right there, that we confess our sin of our lying tongue, our sarcastic tongue, our reviling tongue. We confess it. And by confession, forgiveness comes through Christ. So you don't have to pay with the reviling tongue. You can repent of it and move on.
Starting point is 02:28:37 Yes. Well, this lesson was not a lesson of condemnation. If you're convicted about anything, i told you i was convicted in preparing the lesson if you're convicted about anything then you go to the lord and you confess it and you repent and you ask for forgiveness and you ask for grace to overcome the sin. Right. And it's over. It's over. This is why we study the word. The word convicts us.
Starting point is 02:29:12 Yes. And we'll learn tomorrow as we continue on in this lesson that you lead with your tongue. You lead with it. Because wherever your tongue takes you, your feet will follow. And verse 15 says, their feet are swift to death so uh so you lead with the tongue but your feet will follow so praise god well thank you so much for joining us uh for the uh 360 plus people that joined us live this morning for morning man and God bless you
Starting point is 02:29:47 and I pray that the Holy Spirit both convicts and comforts your heart today. The fact that you came here today shows your faith in the Word of God that you want to believe and that's the first step. That's the very first step is to believe the word of God. And you made a choice to be here for those that are listening to the recording. We appreciate you tuning in as well. And we pray that you share this with friends, share it with enemies too. Go ahead. And we ask that the Holy Spirit would do its work in your heart and your life. Any final words before we sign off for today, Rick? Just a quick poll.
Starting point is 02:30:29 How many of you, what I talked about, you're dealing with a person presently or in the past who has used sinful speech against you? Has this lesson helped you deal with people that either are in your life right now or in the past has done damage to you? Okay. So that's what, and I see a lot of yeses. Yeah, I see a lot of yeses. Okay. So that's encouraging to me because i i want i want this lesson to uh uh be applicable that you can try to process okay now i understand now i understand that person now i have a better understanding of how to deal with that person.
Starting point is 02:31:26 The main thing is don't let another person's sinful speech make you sin. Right. See, what Satan wants to do, a person with sinful speech, Satan puts that person in your life to get you to sin with your mouth. Make you bitter. Yes yes and then you start talking well that guy he talked bad about me when i was five years old they're trying to get a reaction out of you to sin sin with your mouth don't give them don't give satan the pleasure and don't give the other people the pleasure of knowing that they got you to say something sinful.
Starting point is 02:32:09 I've known people who try so hard to get me to say something critical about another person. Just work me all the time, wanting me to say something critical. You know why? Then they can use that against me. Right. You've got leverage against me. Oh, you want me to tell you what Rick said about you? Or they say, well, I'll just go tell them what you just said.
Starting point is 02:32:40 Oh, I got trapped. Got snared again. Okay. Don't let people do that to you. When somebody is trying to get you to slander somebody, don't go down that road. Amen. They want you to join in their sin. They want company in their sinful pit.
Starting point is 02:33:03 Don't go there. Amen. Okay. All't go there. Amen. Okay. All right. See you tomorrow. God bless you, everyone. We'll see you on the Wednesday edition of Morning Manor.
