Well, hello, I'm Douglas McGregor from Our Country, Our Choice. And this afternoon we're talking with a candidate for Florida's District 21 congressional seat. He's actually right now in the primary race against Brian Mast. And our guest today is Rick Wiles, whom we actually hope will win, which is one of the reasons we're talking to him. Although, at least officially, we do not endorse any candidates. But nevertheless, we like you, Rick. I'm honored. I'm honored, Colonel.

I've been watching you for some time. I'm glad we finally got a chance to meet. Well, I want to talk to you about your first and foremost is about money because you and I know that when you run for office, whatever else you do, you've got to have a war chest. So tell us about your financial position and then ultimately tell us where people can contribute to your campaign. Okay. My financial condition is dire. Okay. This is a, this is a truly a grassroots campaign. I've put some money in for myself. We've been receiving donations from various people.

But Brian Mass, you know, is going into this campaign, I don't know, two or three million dollars in the bank. A lot of it from APAC. He's one of their darlings. And so he's received a lot of APAC money. So he's got a very fat bank account for this campaign uh but we are out there and we're working and i i'm i'm just being a old style a door-to-door type of campaigning i'm meeting the voters i'm introducing myself we're doing a a lot of social media videos and advertising, you know. So I am absolutely confident I'm going to win. I really am, Colonel. I truly believe I'm going

to win this race. Well, tell us about the district you're in and where you've been and why you have that opinion. Okay. So District 21 is basically the Treasure Coast of Florida, and it's St. Lucie County, Port St. Lucie City, Fort Pierce in St. Lucie County, and then Martin County and cities of Palm City and Stewart and so forth. And then the upper, I'd say the upper third of Palm Beach County. So you have Jupiter and Juneau and Palm Beach Gardens and that area. There's a big chunk of the district that's very rural.

It runs out towards Okeechobee. And so I believe I will get the nomination. This is going to be a very low turnout. Really? Yes, because Florida has two primaries. We just had the presidential primary. When was that? I guess March or, yeah, I guess it was March. It was so low key

that they only had a 20% turnout for a presidential primary with Donald Trump in the race, 20%. So then Florida has a second primary for its state and local candidates. And I think the turnout is going to be far less than 20%. Well, I'm sure you're aware of him. He was a senator from Tennessee.

He passed away. His name was Fred, first name. Thompson. Fred Thompson. Thompson, that's right. Yeah. And I spoke to him years ago. And I asked him, Senator, what did you do to win your election?

Because obviously he already had some name recognition. But he admitted that a lot of people in Tennessee hadn't seen his movies. So he didn't take anything for granted. I said, what'd you do? He said, I went out and bought a red pickup truck and I drove all over the state. He said, I literally drove every road, stopped at every farm, stopped at every town. And I said, well, how did you do it? He said, I just walked in and said, I'm Fred Thompson. I'm running for the Senate. I wanted

to meet you and I wanted you to know me. So maybe you need a red pickup truck. That sounds good. Maybe a couple of guys in the back with bullhorns or something and flags or whatever. And maybe that's the solution. I don't know. But it worked for him. I can get the pickup truck. That's not a problem. And I would be delighted to drive around in a pickup truck all day long. So it's got to be red.

Well, our campaign colors are dark blue and orange. Dark blue and orange. What's that? Why is are dark blue and orange. Dark blue and orange. Yes. Why is it dark blue and orange? Contrasting colors, and the orange represents the citrus growers of Florida. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Well, I would still think about something red that stands out on the highway. But at any rate, that was his argument to me and he said of all the things that he did and all the money that was spent that that trip that he took all over the state was by far the most important thing he did to get elected that's right he just got i agree with you i think you could win yeah but that's the kind of systematic approach that you're going to have to take and if you're right about turnout you you've got to fight even harder to get people to go out and vote that's right and tell them how important it is and that that leads me to the next question for you why is it so important that you win i had absolutely no plans ever to run for congress that thought had never entered my mind okay so

it goes back to last um this actually started last october after the gaza war started and i i was sitting on my back patio at my house on a saturday afternoon and i got a a news uh you know a push notification on my phone and i glanced down at it and it said it said florida congressman wears israeli military uniform to congress and i said to myself what idiot would do something like that? So I opened up my phone, and the first thing I see, it's Brian Mass. I said, oh, my gosh, it's our idiot. What is he doing? What is he doing in an Israeli military uniform?

I was so blown away by it. I was shocked. I was so blown away by it. I was shocked. I was furious. I was like, how dare a member of Congress wear a foreign military? I don't care what uniform it is. How dare? Sir, you're a colonel. Does that upset you that a member of Congress would wear a military uniform of another country well rick i think the first thing to keep

in mind since you want to go to washington is that there's a very low bar for idiots i don't know if that's a compliment i'm just i'm just being frank with you i would be surprised by almost nothing i mean i'm sure you saw the white house populated with all of these transgender advocates around with Ukrainian flags. I can't understand the readiness of so many people to display other people's flags in general. But then again, I'm somebody that doesn't really like the idea of dual citizenship. Unfortunately, it's legal. And I've always had questions about the wisdom of having anyone with dual citizenship hold office, certainly on the federal level.

Well, that's a good point because two points I'll make in the campaign. My first promise is I'll never wear a foreign army uniform. Can you imagine that a candidate has to make that promise? So that's my first promise you'll never see me wearing the uniform of another country number two i would introduce the brian mass foreign army uniform anti-treason act 10 10 years and a federal slammer for any congressman, senator or congressional staff member caught wearing the uniform of another country. Guaranteed 10 years. And then I'd introduce a bill to require disclosure of any member of Congress or their spouse or their congressional staff members who have dual citizenship. All right, simply, you've got to, you have to disclose it. We don't even know how many of these guys and these men and women have second and third passports. We have

no idea. That's right. About the only thing you can be certain of is that they arrive with some net worth of less than a quarter of a million and they leave with a net worth exceeding millions. Yes, kind of like Nancy Pelosi. That much we know. Yes, like Nancy Pelosi. Yeah. She did well. Which is tragic. She did well for herself. Well, let's go back to this issue of war. You've had some things to say about Ukraine. Tell us what your view is of that and what you think the dangers are to us. Well, first of all, I think it's very obvious Ukraine is

a very corrupt country. What I've come to conclude is Ukraine is a country where you outsource crooked, illegal, corrupt things. You got something dirty and crooked you want to do in America? Outsource it to Ukraine. Nobody will catch you. And there's a lot of stuff going on there politically. I think the politicians are doing a lot of stuff in Ukraine.

We know the pharmaceutical companies are testing drugs and vaccines on Ukrainian children and orphans. We all know the story of the Bidens. That's, you know, there's no point in going over the details. They've made millions of dollars in Ukraine. And President Trump was impeached for trying to get the facts about the corruption. They impeached him. The other thing that you might want to mention as you campaign that people don't seem to understand is child trafficking. Yes.

We have no idea how many tragic children, girls and boys, have disappeared from Ukraine over the last three years. That's right. It was horrific before. I know that within the first six months, I saw reports of 60,000. I'm sure it's much worse now. And when millions of people have to leave the country, which is what's happened, they, of course, are at risk of all sorts of terrible things inside other people's societies. That's right.

Now, obviously, I agree with you. This has been a terrible humanitarian disaster the reports that came into me today indicate that vast areas of the front have been abandoned the ukrainian troops have left none are in sight and in other areas obviously large numbers are surrendering and you can't be critical because they've lost we think 600,000 soldiers killed another million casualties I mean this this country is being destroyed the last thing it needs is more fighting and any any chief executive or any politician with a shred of humanity would insist on an end to the fighting first first and foremost. What's it going to take?

What is wrong with us? Why have we suddenly become so enamored of helping people kill each other or killing each other as they are in Ukraine and elsewhere? Well, one reason, Colonel, is that in the past 20 years, we have transitioned to a war economy. And our economy depends on perpetual warfare warfare and they can't stop it. They become addicted. And so we just keep bombing more countries. I mean, this goes all the way back to 9-11. We have we've had nonstop war and the American people have become used to it. Yeah, we get a war every day somewhere. We're bombing somebody somewhere.
