Most of today's discussion will be focused on the growing international tensions regarding who controls the world order. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's world headlines
Starting point is 00:01:30 by examining this RT report about South Carolina U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham's remarks in Ukraine last Friday. Hey, Doc, he just came right out and said it again yes so he's not bashful and he didn't even blush when he said it said what he said what the u.s is after in ukraine yes um again this is a rt difficult to find it in any other news source so but when you see the video you realize okay rt did not put out fake news right wasn't russian propaganda right it's a factual report yes so rt said u.s senator lindsey graham has openly said washington needs ukraine's natural resources and that, therefore, military aid to the country must continue until Kiev is able to win its conflict with Russia. The South Carolina Republican made the remarks on Friday in Kiev, speaking alongside Vladimir Zelensky, he praised the Ukrainians and their resolve to fight Moscow no matter what, noting that this means the Americans themselves don't have to do this, only provide the weaponry.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Now, here is the video of Lindsey Graham telling the truth about why the U.S. is spending hundreds of billions of dollars fighting the Russians in Ukraine. I'm here with President Zelensky. I am such an admirer of what you and your country have done. You're trying to stop the Russians so we don't have to fight them. They don't want any American troops. They just need the weapons to free their country of a terrible invasion. They're sitting on trillion dollars worth of minerals that could be good to our economy. So I want to keep helping our friends in Ukraine. We can win this.
Starting point is 00:03:31 They need our help. Yes, we need, and we have already. The biggest help is the support of American people and support of our friends. Thanks to Lindsey and his colleagues, to congressmen and senators from the United States. Thanks for the support, bipartisan support. Thank you so much. Peace is coming. Yes, soon. So according to Lindsey Graham, and I'm just paraphrasing him, Mr. Zelensky, your country's boys can die by the tens of thousands
Starting point is 00:04:09 because there are trillions of dollars of minerals. And if your boys fight and die, Americans won't have to fight and die to get them. And Zelensky was happy about that, too. Oh, boy. They don't even hide it anymore. Yes. They don't blush. They're not embarrassed.
Starting point is 00:04:33 They're just openly saying, we're going in there to plunder. Yes. Yeah. After you win, we're going to basically rape your country. Right. We're going to plunder your resources, and Zelensky, you'll get your payoff, and life will be good for you. But in your country, most of your young men will be dead. I saw another story.
Starting point is 00:04:56 I didn't bring it over today, Doc. It was a Ukrainian member of parliament who said that Ukraine needed to stop the outflow of children, that parents were taking their children out of Ukraine to get them away from the war. And he said that the borders need to be shut down so that no children can leave. Oh, so make Ukraine a prison. Yes. But listen, he went on to say, at first I thought, okay, they're like, they're so low on soldiers,
Starting point is 00:05:33 okay, that hey, they're looking at any age. But what he said was, it's good for children to see funerals every week. They will learn to hate the Russians. It's good for children to hear air raid sirens and to be afraid because they will learn to hate the Russians. The man said this.
Starting point is 00:05:54 That sounds like child abuse to me. How much trauma can a child, I mean, if I was a parent, I'd be doing the same thing. He said it was good for the country. He said it was good for the country. It would build patriotism if the children were traumatized. That's how crazy these folks are, Rick. They're out of their cotton-picking minds. I know, but if you and I say it, we're accused of being extremists, conspiratorial, whatever. How about we're just sane? You know, how about that? How about if we're just sane? You know, how about that?
Starting point is 00:06:27 How about if we're just sane and the rest of the world is crazy? But if we repeat what they say, we're called insane. Yes. Oh. God is good. Oh, that's an old country song, right? So God is great, beer is good. People are crazy. Okay. So Lindsey Graham just came right out and said there are trillions of dollars worth of minerals in Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:06:51 If the Ukrainian young men fight and die, Americans won't have to fight and die. We'll get the – we're going to get the minerals. That's what we're here for. So $100, $200 billion invested in war is a good buy if you come out of it with trillions in minerals. That's the way these guys in Washington think. It's a good investment. We've got Americans working, making bombs and planes and drones. And when the war is over, we're going to get trillions of dollars of minerals, plus our cronies will get the contracts to rebuild Ukraine. Right. So that's their goal.
Starting point is 00:07:34 I remember back when we went to Davos, and we sat in that session with Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, and he talked about we're going to mine asteroids, and we're going to get trillions of dollars of minerals in asteroids. And at first you're like going, that's such a crazy idea. But you don't have to wipe out a country to mine an asteroid. You don't have to blow up a whole bunch of people to mine an asteroid. And I was in that meeting with you, and at first I was thinking that Mr. Ross was talking about sci-fi way in the future. We're going to – someday we're going to mine asteroids.
Starting point is 00:08:13 But when I heard him say that lawyers were working on the agreements right now, I knew, oh, it's underway. They're writing the legal contracts of who owns the mineral rights on asteroids. Once the lawyers are involved, Doc, you know it's a done deal. That's right. They're sealing the contracts. Well, so most of our program today is going to be about the world order. The old world order, a new world order, a war over world order. That's what this is about today.
Starting point is 00:08:47 I hope you stay with us for the hour. And I'm going to walk you through it. As I saw it this morning as I prepared today's program, every day I don't know what the theme is going to be. And for today, several hours ago, I started to see the pattern. It's world order. Yes. That's what is on the plate today. Who is in control of the world order?
Starting point is 00:09:13 Wall Street Journal. Now, this is last Friday. U.S. tells allies Iran has sent ballistic missiles to Russia. Now, remember, the topic is world order. So I'm bringing this in. We just started with Lindsey Graham saying, hey, the reason we're having a war is we're going to get those minerals. Now, Wall Street Journal says the U.S. government has told American allies Iran has sent ballistic missiles to Russia. It says Iran has sent short range ballistic missiles to Russia, according to U.S. and European officials.
Starting point is 00:09:45 A move that gives Moscow another potent military tool in its war against Ukraine and follows stern Western warnings not to provide those arms to Moscow. The journal said the development comes as Russia has stepped up its missile attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. Washington informed allies of Iran's shipments this week. A European official said, including a briefing for ambassadors in Washington on Thursday, a U.S. official confirmed the missiles have finally been delivered. And then it gives a quote from National Security Council spokesman Sean Savette. Quote, we have been warning of a deepening security partnership between Russia and Iran since the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. And we are alarmed by these reports. We and our partners have made clear, both at the G7 and the NATO summits this summer that together,
Starting point is 00:10:46 listen, folks, listen to this. This is what the U.S. National Security Council spokesman Sean Savette said. We and our partners have made it clear both at the G7 and the NATO summits that together we are prepared to deliver significant consequences. Any transfer of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia would represent will be we will deliver significant consequences how do you interpret that well i it to me it says that they're ready to go to the next level and now they've said and the next level is what? We're going to probably see a nuclear exchange or a full-scale invasion of Russia at this point.
Starting point is 00:11:51 Or an attack on Iran. Right. Which would benefit a couple different places. So how is Iran, if Iran is denying it, or I assume that they are, How is Iran delivering the missiles? Is it by military transport planes, by ships? How do you deliver the missiles? Would NATO shoot down Iranian vessels in the sky and in the seas? Sure they would.
Starting point is 00:12:20 Okay. Didn't we see two world wars start like this? Basically, yes. What was the lusitania yeah this sank a ship so what was in the lusitania passengers up above right and down below ammo ammo and it got blown up and baby we went to war all? The sinking of the Lusitania. It was a headline all over the West, and people were furious, and they said, we've got to go. And demanded justice. We must go to war against Germany now. They sank the Lusitania. Well, now they're saying here that the missiles have been delivered.
Starting point is 00:12:59 It's not a matter of, you know, they're transporting them or anything like that. Now they've been delivered. So based on their conversations this summer, now NATO feels justified in responding to that. So what response will we see? Will we see it soon? And that's the indication here. I'm going to go back to Lusitania. warned the West, Great Britain, the United States, do not transport ammo, weapons on passenger ships.
Starting point is 00:13:33 Do not do it. That's what we did. We had the ship above on the upper decks were filled with passengers. Below in the cargo space was ammo. The Germans said, we warned you, and now the ship is a legitimate military target. Is that not the same attitude the Israelis use on Hamas? Yes, it is. It's the very same thing. Hey, you're hiding in a school. We're going to have to blow up the school.
Starting point is 00:14:10 The point I'm making is it ended up in a world war. That reasoning eventually ended up starting a world war, and that's where we're headed here today. So the Wall Street Journal reporting that the U.S. believes Iran has shipped missiles. The National Security Advisor is saying we've already warned them. There will be significant consequences. ABC News, Iranian missiles in Russia are a legitimate target, says a Ukrainian official. Right. A senior Ukrainian official said on Monday that Western partner countries must allow Ukraine to use weapons they have supplied to strike military warehouses inside Russia because of strong suspicions Iran has provided ballistic missiles for the Kremlin's war effort. hesitated to let its military strike targets on Russian soil, fearing they could be sucked into Europe's biggest conflict since World War II. But the head of the Ukrainian presidential office said protection is not escalation. Said in response to the supply of ballistic missiles to Russia,
Starting point is 00:15:17 Ukraine must be allowed to destroy warehouses storing these missiles with Western weapons in order to avoid terror. That's coming from Andrew Yermak, and speaking on his Telegram channel, he did not specify which country was supplying the missiles. But based upon ABC's research and, of course, what we talked about before, it's likely that it's Iran. So, Doc, go back to the security advisor, national security advisor, a spokesman, Mr. Sean, what was it? Sevek. Sevek.
Starting point is 00:15:50 And so he said there's going to be severe consequences. Will the severe consequences be the U.S. giving Ukraine permission to use long-range missiles to strike missile warehouses in Russia that they believe are housing Iranian missiles. Yes, I believe that's coming. There's where we're going with it. Right. It's the progression. I want you to see the progression towards open World War III. We're in World War III.
Starting point is 00:16:20 Yes. But it hasn't exploded to the level of weapons of mass destruction yet. By the way, you're talking about Lusitania. The Lusitania sinking occurred two years before the U.S. actually entered World War I. And so there was a long ramp up before the U.S. actually entered World War I. And so we're seeing this play out now. What are we in now? We're beginning almost the third year of this conflict in ukraine and doc at that time there were um lindsey grahams yes in in american politics
Starting point is 00:16:52 who traveled america to whip up war fever right so they had two years to get the American people fired up to go into the war. Grant Shapps was the minister of defense in Great Britain. He served 2023, 2024. New government came in, replaced him. But he wrote this editorial in the Sunday Times in London yesterday. Let Ukraine strike Russia with our storm shadow missiles. Again, we see the progression of thought. Former defense minister of Great Britain saying the time has come to turn the hounds loose on Moscow. Right.
Starting point is 00:17:42 Let's take the chains off Zelensky. Let him go after Putin. That's what these missiles are for. Doc, I believe the catalyst is going to be the Iranian missiles. They're going to respond to that. That's going to be the catalyst. That's going to be the justification. We weren't going to give him permission until.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Now we have to. Now we have to. Now we have to. The Iranian missiles are there. So now we must give Zelensky permission to hit targets deep inside Russia. Well, from the London Times here, we have these quotes from Grant Chaps himself. He says, it is no longer credible for us to cheer on Ukraine, invite the president to number 10, number 10 Downing Street, and yet fail to allow our defensive weapons to be used where they would be most effective. Schaafs went on to say it's time to stop asking President Zelensky's brave population to fight with one
Starting point is 00:18:36 arm tied behind their backs. Instead, the UK must issue a straightforward warning to Putin. If you continue to murder men, women, and children with glide bombs launched from Russia, then we will lead the rest of the world to authorize our long-range missiles to take out your launchers, regardless of where they happen to be, even inside Russia. And we have a couple of images here to kind of give you an idea of how far storm shadow missiles can actually reach. So if you take the border of Ukraine there, and generally has a range of about 150 miles, that's a significant distance there within Russia itself. And these stills are produced by the Times of London.
Starting point is 00:19:21 So this is what they were showing on the front page of their paper yesterday. You can see how deep into Russia. The blue is Russian territory. And showing you the bases that could be hit, the warehouses, the infrastructure. And then the next. Well, if you notice right there in the center of the screen, that little orange area right there, that's where Ukraine has moved into. That's Kursk.
Starting point is 00:19:47 Yes. Yes. So this shows you how much further inside of Russia storm shadow missiles can go. Right. And so, as Eric mentioned, we have another image here just showing how storm shadow missiles work. They're a little bit different than some others in that they tend to follow the contour of the ground in order to evade radar. A missile is launched by an Su-24, and the plane can now return to base and avoid air defenses. After release, the storm shadow's
Starting point is 00:20:18 wings extend. It's guided by GPS. Target is identified by high-res infrared camera. And a two-stage warhead punctures the surface of the target before detonating inside. So that's 155 miles away from the Russian border. Right. So the aircraft doesn't have to get up to the border. It can be 155 miles away from the border or 155 miles away from the target, a better way of saying it. So it can go right up to the border, and that storm shadow can go 155 miles inside Russia. We are being told this week that the West is going to allow Ukraine to attack inside Russia with long-range missiles. And I believe we're being told that suspected Iranian missiles will be the justification for this change of policy.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Right. And that Russia has brought it upon themselves by purchasing Iranian missiles. That's where we're going, Doc. Yes. And we're headed towards November, December. I don't know when this is going to happen, if it's going to be September, October, but we're headed in that direction. Remember, our theme is the world order, maintaining the existing new world order, and preventing the establishment of
Starting point is 00:21:50 a new new world order. That's the theme of what we're talking about today. So I want you to see, watch the progression here. This is how I saw this today as I was working on True News. Here's Jerusalem Post. Iran's missile trade with Russia is about changing the world order. It's so clear, Doc. What this is all about. What is the world order? One side is in control of the world and the other side isn't. That's it.
Starting point is 00:22:26 That's the world order. One side has control of the world and the other side doesn't. The other side has to either obey the ruling side's order or risk annihilation. But the current ruling order has to enforce that order through warfare yes and every year there must be more warfare because the resistance to the world order is growing that's what's happening right now that's why the last 20 years we had perpetual warfare because the the existing world order is collapsing and a new world order is trying to break out and the old world order is is resisting and there's going to be a clash and that clash is world war three and we're in it right now so uh the next one I want to show you is BBC. Yeah, look at this.
Starting point is 00:23:25 World order under threat not seen since Cold War. All this is over since Friday, Doc. Yes. This is the pattern I saw over the weekend and this morning. The international world order is under threat in a way we haven't seen since the Cold War. The heads of the U.K. of the UK and US foreign intelligence services have warned. In a first ever joint article, Sir Richard Moore and William Burns wrote in the Financial Times, and these two men are the heads of the CIA and the MI6. They said,
Starting point is 00:24:04 both countries stand together in resisting an assertive Russia and Putin's war of aggression in Ukraine. Then these two gentlemen that run, Mr. Burns runs the CIA and Mr. Moore runs MI6, they
Starting point is 00:24:20 co-authored an op-ed that appeared in London's Financial Times. Right. And as I always remind you, Financial Times is owned by the Rothschild family. It's the Rothschild newsletter. You got it. So for the first time ever, the CIA director and the MI6 director jointly co-authored an op-ed, and it was published in none other than the Rothschild's newsletter, the Financial Times.
Starting point is 00:24:51 So you've got to take this article very seriously. Bill Burns and Richard Moore Intelligence Partnership Helps the U.K. and U.S. Stay A in an uncertain world. It's about the new world order. Let's say it's about the existing world order. We're going to briefly go through this. Now, this is the words of these two men, co-authored. Two years ago, we celebrated 75 years of partnership, 75 years since the CIA was founded in 1947. But listen to this. But the bonds between U.S. and U.K. intelligence go back even further.
Starting point is 00:25:49 Closer to the founding of SIS in 1909, when we first witnessed together the horror of state-on-state violence in Europe. When did—the United States didn't even have an intelligence agency until the OSS. We'd like to think that, wouldn't you? Obviously, there was one. And it was working with MI6 in 1909. Before World War I. And how did we get that information? These two spy chiefs just told us.
Starting point is 00:26:14 Yes. Today, after the closest of collaborations through the First World War, Second World War, and Cold War, followed by a shared struggle against international terrorism, that partnership lies at the beating heart of the special relationship between our countries. We have no more trusted and esteemed allies. But the challenges of the past are being accelerated in the present and compounded by technological change. Today, we cooperate in a contested international system
Starting point is 00:26:46 where our two countries face an unprecedented array of threats. Now, again, this is co-authored by the CIA director, Mr. Burns, and the MI6 director, Mr. Moore. And they said, there is no question that the international world order, the balanced system that has led to relative peace and stability and delivered rising living standards, opportunities, and prosperity is under threat in a way we haven't seen since the Cold War. Let's see. Peace and stability. Let's see. Peace and stability. Let's see. Vietnam.
Starting point is 00:27:27 Afghanistan. Afghanistan. Libya. Syria. Iraq. Two wars in Iraq. That relative peace, Rick. It must be the little gaps of time between the wars.
Starting point is 00:27:44 And now Ukraine and Gaza. To them, it's relative peace and prosperity. So he said, they said, there's no question the international world order is under threat. And then they said, but successfully combating this risk is at the very foundation of our special relationship. Trust, openness, constructive challenge, friendship, these characteristics can be lied upon into the next century, as can our shared determination to remain champions for global peace and security. So are we being told that the British spy agency and the American spy agency is basically running the world? Sounds like they're saying that in this.
Starting point is 00:28:28 But they're also admitting that if, let's say that somehow storm shadow missiles get into Russia and they will get into Russia. Now we've joined ourselves at the hip with the UK. We're on the same page. We're together in this. See, the purpose of an intelligence agency on paper is to provide intelligence to the president. Intelligence
Starting point is 00:28:53 meaning information. Mr. President, we researched this for you and this is what we have learned. Isn't that the purpose of an intelligence agency? Yes, I would think so. But that's not what intelligence have learned. Isn't that the purpose of an intelligence agency? Yes, I would think so. But that's not what intelligence agencies do.
Starting point is 00:29:10 No, they govern now. They govern. They bring about coups, revolutions, assassinations. They depose leaders. They destabilize countries. All run by intelligence agencies. And that's not just the West. That's Russia.
Starting point is 00:29:28 It's China. It's Israel. It's France. It's all of them, the intelligence agencies. They got their own little club. Can you imagine what their Christmas party is like? This next one, we're not going to go through the entire one the the entire article telegraph there was a genuine risk of russia using nuclear weapons at the start of the ukraine war cia boss burns reveals the main thing i want you to see in this is that in that op-ed piece
Starting point is 00:30:00 we just mentioned mr burns went into detail about how close we were to using, or how close we were to Russia using nuclear weapons in 2022. See, folks, I've had to deal with this for years. I'm on edge, and I'm telling people we're very close to an outbreak of nuclear war. And then things calm down and there's no war.
Starting point is 00:30:33 And then the people write to me and go, Rick, you're an alarmist. You're a drama queen. You make this stuff up. There was no nuclear war. These, I can't tell you how many times I've read stories like this. Right, where that brinkmanship took us all the way up to the edge. Sometimes they admit it. This one's two years later.
Starting point is 00:30:52 Sometimes it's 10 years later. If somebody in authority will go, oh, yeah, yeah, we were really close back then. We were very, very close to a nuclear war. That's what he's saying here in this article, that the West, you know, the United States and Great Britain were extremely concerned that Russia was going to use tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine at the end of 2022. So, see, God's grace has kept us alive. Yes. We're here because the Lord prevented a nuclear exchange between world powers. But that's not a guarantee that he's going to continue to do it. Why is he holding it off?
Starting point is 00:31:41 For more souls to be saved. Maybe you're one of the people that needs to be saved. Maybe you're one of the people that needs to be saved. Maybe you're one of the people that's resisting the Holy Spirit. I don't know. Maybe you are. Maybe he's been knocking on the door of your heart for a long, long time because he wants you to be saved. He wants you to have eternal life.
Starting point is 00:31:58 And he keeps holding off this massive nuclear war. You need to make that decision. There will be a day that he won't come back. The invitation will be rescinded and you will not enter into the kingdom. ABC News. Did I do this one? Yeah, I did.
Starting point is 00:32:22 How did I get back here? Okay, number 12. So we're talking about world order. So Dmitry Medvedev, he chimed in over the weekend about the world order. Yes. And he text on Telegram that there will be a collapse of the United States because a civil war is imminent. Well, let's see what he has to say about that. This is from Dmitry Minvedev's post on Telegram.
Starting point is 00:32:51 Donald Trump is offended by the current administration and threatens to lift sanctions against Russia. Will he lift them if elected? He goes on to say, of course not. Despite his seeming non-systemic nature, Trump is ultimately a systemic character. Yes, he is an extravagant, narcissistic type, but he is also a pragmatist. Trump, as a businessman, understands that sanctions harm the dollar's dominance in the world. However, not so much as to organize a revolution in the U.S. and go against the anti-Russian line of the notorious deep state, which is much stronger than any Trump. He goes on to say,
Starting point is 00:33:26 what about Harris? You shouldn't expect any surprises from her either. She is inexperienced and, as her enemies claim, simply stupid. They will prepare beautiful, meaningless speeches and boring correct answers to questions for her, which you will read from a teleprompter with an infectious laugh. Sanctions against the USSR existed throughout the 20th century. They returned in the 21st century on an unprecedented scale. Therefore, for all of us, sanctions forever, or rather until the collapse of the United States during the inevitable new civil war. After all, it's not for nothing that Hollywood makes films about it.
Starting point is 00:34:07 So, Doc, why is he hinting about Hollywood making films about Civil War? Because I really, and I'm of this opinion too, I think these movies are made to prime the audience to expect it. Yes. To know that it is coming, that there is a civil war coming to this country. At what scale? We don't know yet. But think of the number of movies in the past two years that have come out that deal with a purge or a civil war or anything like that or some sort of calamity that the U.S. suffers. That Hollywood itself is like the subconscious of saying,
Starting point is 00:34:48 this is coming. Be prepared. And the Russians see the United States and the NATO West as their enemy that's seeking to bring them down. So obviously, they're thinking,
Starting point is 00:35:02 what can we do to eliminate this threat without a nuclear war? Well, one way would be to have a civil war in the United States. Yes. So, obviously, it's in the best interest of Russia to stir and foment a civil war in America. Right. I don't deny that. I don't deny that their propaganda is working in that realm on social media
Starting point is 00:35:32 where they're trying to foment, stir anger between groups of Americans to bring about a clash because they're looking at it, hey, divide and conquer. If we can cause the United States to implode on the inside, we don't have to go to war with them. Oh, my. Hey, I want to take a short break because today is the end of a special from American Reserves on water filtration products. I'll be back in a minute. Attention, True News family. From September 4th to September 9th, our friends at American Reserves are offering a promotion on their water filtration products. For a limited time, you can enjoy 10% off any purchase from their top quality water filtration collection. No codes
Starting point is 00:36:20 needed and no limitations. Access to clean drinking water is more crucial than ever. Okay, in the next several articles, we're going to see some clues about some things that could happen this fall. Reuters, Germany's Schultz calls for renewed push for peace in Ukraine. So Olaf Schultz, the German chancellor, gave a television interview to broadcaster ZDF. And he said, I believe that now is the time to discuss how to arrive at peace from this state of war, indeed at a faster pace.
Starting point is 00:37:47 So there's your first hint. Germany is saying, we're tired, we're ready for this to wrap up. Well, when you get right down to it, Germany has probably suffered more than even Ukraine. Yes, and they're going into another winter. That's right. And so he's like, okay, so one thing that happened recently, on the last couple weeks, German state elections, and the new conservative AFD party won in some regions, and Mr. Schultz's party took a thumping in the elections. So clearly he realizes that his policies are not popular anymore and that his party could get kicked out in the next election.
Starting point is 00:38:31 And the Germans are getting war-weary. They're done. They're tired of it, okay, and they're suffering. And then on top of that, and I'll save it for another day, he told them, we're going to bring in hundreds of thousands of immigrants. Yes. And give them jobs. Oh, I bet that went over really well.
Starting point is 00:38:52 Yeah, Ukrainians. Yes, Ukrainians. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and give them jobs in Germany. You know, I think Germany just lost World War III. Yeah. How do you think that went over with the equate with the german people you're going to do what i mean you've you've knocked out their energy supplies you've basically knocked them back into the beginning of the 20th century by you know they're having to go back to coal plants again and now now you're going to invade Germany with a couple hundred thousand Ukrainians.
Starting point is 00:39:28 That's right. So now, Doc, here's the next one. Zelensky met with Italian Prime Minister Maloney over the weekend. And she made a comment, or was it, no, I think it was maybe Mr. Zelensky said, let me read this. This is your active news. Ukraine will have its peace plan ready in November. Zelensky said, as he met Prime Minister Maloney over the weekend, quote, we are closer to the end of the war than we were at the beginning. This is coming from Zelensky. Yes.
Starting point is 00:40:13 It's not just about weapons, but also about important global issues. Really? It's not just about weapons, but important. What are the important global issues? Zelensky's saying, hey, I've been told they're wrapping up the war. Yes. November. He even gave a date.
Starting point is 00:40:32 The war is going to end in November. It's going to be a diplomatic conclusion. And what else is happening in November? The U.S. general election. The U.S. general election. The U.S. general election. Doc, if Donald Trump wins the election, they know he's going to shut down the war. Yes. They know it. They know he's going to cut a deal with Putin, and he's going to get out of there. He's going to get American involvement in that war.
Starting point is 00:41:01 He's going to leave. They know that in November. If Kamala Harris wins in November, they know that the Russians are going to realize we've got more war coming. We better just go ahead and strike right now because it ain't going to get any better. It's just going to be endless war. So it appears that some major decision is going to be implemented in November. But the curious phrase of the global issues is what caught my attention in that. Yes.
Starting point is 00:41:44 So this isn't just about Ukraine and Russia anymore, is it? No. But Prime Minister Maloney of Italy, she also dropped a clue. So this is a Maloney pledge of support for Ukraine after meeting with Zelensky. I want you to hear this quote. With an invasion, you don't have peace talks. You don't need a negotiating table.
Starting point is 00:42:14 The need for it emerges, if anything, with a stalemate. The stalemate that we have contributed to creating. So the conclusion is a stalemate? Is that what we're looking forward to here? No. She's saying we've created the stalemate, meaning we have put so many weapons, so much money into Ukraine, that Russia can't win the war without using nukes.
Starting point is 00:42:42 It's a stalemate. Each side's just bombing each other. It's a stalemate. Each side's just bombing each other. It's a stalemate. And she said, we created the stalemate. How? By pumping weapons and money into Ukraine. Yes. So that people just on both sides,
Starting point is 00:43:01 Russia and Ukraine, just continue to die. It's a stalemate. And she's saying, when there's an invasion, you don't have peace talks. Really? You don't have peace talks? No, according to her. You don't need a negotiating table. You need a stalemate.
Starting point is 00:43:22 Which is where we're at now. Which is where we're at right now. Here's what I'm saying. I think things are really going to ramp up over the next two months in the war. I'll go back to, this is what I was saying a year or two ago. Right. When I thought that they were going to, let's see, we thought they were going to go to the negotiating table before, as in 23, before the beginning of the 24 election. We were saying the American people won't stand for this. They're going to be done for the war. That didn't turn out to be true.
Starting point is 00:43:57 So they are headed towards a – and what I said back then in 23 was each side delivers maximum pain to the other side before they sit down at the negotiating table. That's what's going on right now. That's why Ukraine invaded Russia. Maximum pain. They want to get control of a nuclear power plant inside Russia. Everything, there will be a mad dash for territory, for damage, for anything that both sides can inflict on each other
Starting point is 00:44:38 over the next two months. And then somewhere in November, they're going to sit down and end the war. That seems to be the plan. But I suspect it's going to be pretty crazy for the next two months. Remember, our topic is world order. Holding on to the existing new world order, preventing a new new world order. It's everywhere I look today.
Starting point is 00:45:07 South China, Morning Post, Hong Kong. Saudi Arabia, this is number 19. Saudi Arabia opened to Petro-Yuan. Doc, this is the only place I saw this today. Yes. In Hong Kong. Saudi Arabia is open, not to a petrodollar, but a petroyuan. Yes.
Starting point is 00:45:34 Meaning, we're going to drop the dollar and go with China. We're going to cut the same deal with China that we cut with the U.S. in 73. It's a new world order. And the world order is changing. And this report, and this just came out today. A top official from Saudi Arabia said the country is open to new ideas, including the use of the yuan in crude oil settlements. As the oil-rich Middle Eastern nation looks to incorporate Chinese products like electric vehicles, the C919 passenger jet, and renewable energy infrastructure while it attempts to diversify its economy.
Starting point is 00:46:26 Yes. So they're open to new ideas, Doc. New ideas as in let's cut our ties with the U.S. and let's get a new dance partner. Right. So Bandar Al-Khoryaf, Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, made the comments as the two countries have moved closer despite an escalating rivalry between China and the U.S., Saudi Arabia's traditional ally. They said that the petroyuan is not substantial to the ministry. We believe Saudi Arabia will do what's in its best interest, but I think Saudi Arabia will always try new things and is open
Starting point is 00:47:03 to new ideas, and we try not to mix politics with commerce, he said on Saturday in Hong Kong. Broader adoption of the petro-yuan, shorthand for the use of China's currency and cross-border crude oil settlements, is widely viewed as the next step for the yuan's internationalization and a challenge to the omnipresent U.S. dollar in global commodity markets. Who would have thought we'd talk about the day where Saudi Arabia would be dumping the petrodollar? Okay, so, Doc, I saw that article after I saw the next article, which is from The Telegraph. So, when I saw this in The Telegraph. I thought, wow,
Starting point is 00:47:45 why is this article appearing? This is like just popped out from nowhere. I mean, I know today, September 9th, September 11th, two days away, Saudi intelligence officer films location in Washington, D.C., two years before 9-11. We don't have time to go through the whole article. The Telegraph said a 25-year-old video has been unearthed showing a man who has been identified by the FBI as a Saudi intelligence officer filming locations in Washington, D.C. before the September 11 attacks. The video was first seized by Scotland Yard. OK, so I saw that yesterday and I was wondering why are the media suddenly telling us Saudi Arabia was involved in 9-11? Remember, they dropped a similar story here a few months back when Blinken was in Saudi Arabia talking to him. So then this morning, I saw the South China Morning Post article.
Starting point is 00:48:50 Saudi Arabia opened to a Chinese petro-yuan. Right. There it is. That's it. You guys go with what the U.S. is telling Riyadh. You guys cut the U.S. dollar and go with China? We're going to charge you with 9-11? Yes.
Starting point is 00:49:09 And we're going to bomb the you-know-what out of you, even though it's decades later. We're going to declare you an enemy of the United States of America. They're telling them. They're setting it up. Right. You cross us. We'll release the rest of the 9- of America. They're telling them. They're setting it up. You cross us. We'll release the rest of the 9-11 files. And we've got them. Now, I've got three minutes to give you an update on war in the Middle East.
Starting point is 00:49:34 Israel, Hayom. Minister warns Israel might soon have to take care of Hezbollah. So this is Benny Gantz, and he issued a strong warning on Sunday during a Washington, D.C. conference stating that Israel must be prepared to take military action in its northern region if a hostage deal is not reached soon. He said, quote,
Starting point is 00:50:03 I got time to play the video. Okay. This, you'll listen to Benny Gantz say what, what Israel is going to do. And the time of north has come. And actually, but if we cannot get it in the coming time I would say, I won't limit it to days or a few weeks or whatever it is, we should go up north and take care and make sure we can get our people back to their homes. And I don't think we should delay it anymore. He just said that if the hostages, the remaining hostages are not released in days or weeks, if not, we're going to go north into Lebanon and take care of business. Days or weeks.
Starting point is 00:51:03 That's like in this week. Weeks, that's like in this week. Weeks? That's like in the month of September. He just told you Israel is ready to attack Lebanon in a big way. And what's going on in Israel? Times of Israel, organizers claim largest ever rally in Tel Aviv calls for hostage deal intensify. Massive crowd, something like 500,000 people in the streets of Tel Aviv Saturday night, not only demanding the release of the hostages, but demanding that Israel be released from the burden of Benjamin Netanyahu.
Starting point is 00:51:43 So here we go again. The people of Israel want Netanyahu out. So what's Netanyahu going to do? He's going to start a war in days or weeks. It's the same thing that happened October 7th. They were demanding his ouster, and suddenly there's a war. So get ready. If he just said, Mr. Gantz said, if the hostages are not released in days or weeks, we're going to go north to Lebanon and take care of business.
Starting point is 00:52:16 They're going to have a major war. I've got so much more, but I think you get the drift of where this is going. OK, the old world order is fighting like crazy to hold on the power. There's a new world order emerging and you and I have to live in the middle of this stuff. Thank God for God that he gives us grace and wisdom and we'll take care of his people. Stay close to him. He will stay close to you. We are studying the Gospel according to St. Matthew. We're in the 22nd chapter, and today we're going to be looking again at the parable that is presented in Matthew 22, the parable of the wedding feast, of the wedding garment. And we started on this parable last Friday, and we will continue today and maybe even tomorrow. So let's pray.
Starting point is 00:54:54 And then, Doc, I'm going to have you read the entire parable again because we're going to pick up in verse 5, but I think we need to hear the full parable to remind ourselves of what we're studying. Let's pray. Gracious Father, this is a wonderful, beautiful day, and we
Starting point is 00:55:13 are so grateful to be alive and to be in your kingdom. Father, we could not be more blessed than to have you as our Father. That says it all you are our father and because you are
Starting point is 00:55:31 our father we are saved and we are guaranteed life eternal life and we are blessed in this life father we humbly request the presence of your
Starting point is 00:55:48 Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us in the study of your word may your anointing be upon doc and myself as we teach your word. Father, build great disciples for your kingdom. The purpose of this class is to build great disciples for your son. And this we ask in Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. And we are in chapter 22, so if you've got your Bibles, go ahead and open them up here. We're going to reread the parable of the marriage feast here this morning. So starting at verse 1, chapter 22,
Starting point is 00:56:25 Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables and said, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king which made a marriage for his son and sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding and they would not come. Again he sent forth the other servants saying, Tell them which are bidden behold i have prepared my dinner my oxen and my fatlings are killed and all things are ready come unto the marriage
Starting point is 00:56:53 but they made light of it and went their ways one to his farm another to his merchandise and the remnant took his servants and entreated them spitefully and slew them but when the king heard thereof he was wrought and sent forth his armies and destroyed those murderers and burned up their city then saith he to the servants the wedding is ready but they which were bidden were not worthy go ye therefore into the highways and as many as you shall find, bid to the marriage. So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good. And the wedding was furnished with guests. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment. And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?
Starting point is 00:57:49 And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen. This is probably going to be one of the most sobering lessons that we will have in this class.
Starting point is 00:58:19 In the preceding chapter, chapter 21, the Jewish rulers demanded to know by what authority did Jesus speak and act. In chapter 22, verse 1, Jesus answered them by continuing his ministry without their approval or authorization notice he didn't stop he didn't go okay let me try to convince you who i am let me let me try to persuade you that i have the authority to do these things no he just continued on his way that's's right. And neither did he seek their authority either or their permission or anything. So never allow your critics to get the upper hand over your assignment. Never allow your critics to make you believe you need their approval and authorization to do what God called you to do in his name.
Starting point is 00:59:25 You have two choices. Disobey God or disobey your critics. Always please God. So in chapter 21, this is the preceding chapter, verse 45. When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables they perceived that he spoke about them yes they perceived but they did not repent their perception that they were the parables objects of judgment did not convince them to repent of their ways no instead it only enraged them to hate jesus even more what's the lesson for us don't think you can change everybody by giving them more truth that's that's and that's the truth they may turn on you and charge like an enraged
Starting point is 01:00:30 bull when they discover you see through their phony persona so more truth does not change everybody. More truth actually makes some people dig in deeper. Yes. And that's what we see with the Pharisees. The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who made a wedding feast for his son. The king of glory desires to celebrate the union of his son with fallen mankind. The wedding feast
Starting point is 01:01:16 celebrates the last Adam's redemption of the first Adam's fall. Amen. The father made the event. He planned the wedding. He was meticulous. It is his wonderful wedding feast
Starting point is 01:01:37 of glorious grace in honor of his son's marriage to humankind. The father chose his son's bride. It's an arranged marriage. Arranged in heaven. The son was introduced at the wedding feast as the Savior, Messiah, Redeemer, Mediator, and Reconciler.
Starting point is 01:02:08 Verse 3, And sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding feast, but they would not come. The king sent out royal servants to call those who had been previously invited to the wedding. This was the second call, a reminder of a previous invitation from the king. Those who were invited were the Jews. The prophets invited them over centuries. But now the time had come to attend the marriage ceremony, the marriage of the Son of God with mankind. John the Baptist and his disciples, and then later Jesus and his apostles and disciples, were the parable's servants who reminded the Jews that the day of the wedding feast had arrived. The wedding feast was no longer a future event. It was underway,
Starting point is 01:03:06 and their participation was expected and desired by the king. Amen. The Jews were highly honored as the chosen guest, but they would not come. It was not a matter of not being able to attend. They would not attend. Yes. It was a matter of pride, arrogance, indifference, disobedience, rebellion.
Starting point is 01:03:39 And their refusal to attend the wedding feast of the king's son was a direct insult to the king. They could not be ignored by the royal court. Personally, I have only received one invitation from an earthly king. In November 2022, I received a letter from the king's palace in amman jordan it was an invitation from king abdullah to attend a royal banquet in amman how could i ignore such an honor amen i flew 15 hours from America to Jordan to go to dinner with the king and his guests, and then turned around and flew another 15 hours to return home. Why did I go?
Starting point is 01:04:35 Ignoring the king's dinner invitation would ensure I would never receive a second invitation. Amen. That's right. My name would have been recorded in the palace in Amman. Rick Wiles did not attend. He dishonored the king. That's the sobering message of this parable. The king is sending out invitations every hour of the day and people are ignoring the invitation they may not get a second invitation verse 4 and he sent out other servants saying tell those who are invited behold I have
Starting point is 01:05:24 prepared my dinner, my cattle and my fatlings are killed and all things are ready, come to the wedding feast. So the kind, loving king extended patience and forbearance towards his disobedient and ungrateful citizens who ignored two invitations. They were previously invited, and then a second invitation went out, and now he's reminding them again. He sent out more servants to announce that the food was on the tables all the arrangements were complete all things were ready all they needed to do was
Starting point is 01:06:15 show up for the banquet right please come to the wedding feast the servants pleaded the food is hot it's on the tables right now. Yes, the fatlings have been killed. The king is waiting on you. The feast isn't tomorrow. It's now. It's today. The king is looking for you.
Starting point is 01:06:42 You see the indignity of the refusal to attend if you had invited your closest friends to a party a really important party well let's say a wedding, your son or daughter getting married, and you're having this beautiful reception, and nobody shows up. How would you feel? All that food, all the preparation, the music, everything's there and nobody showed up. How would you feel? Insulted? Hurt? Indignant? Angry? So looking into the future after his death, resurrection, and ascension, Jesus saw the hard-heartedness of the Jews that would confound
Starting point is 01:07:47 his apostles. In Acts 13, verse 46 and 47, in Antioch of Pisidia, Apostle Paul and Barnabas spoke boldly to the Jews and said, it was necessary that God's word should be spoken to you first yes since indeed you thrust it from yourselves and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life behold we turn to the gentiles for so has the lord commanded us, saying, I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth. So Paul had the parable in his mind when he spoke those words. He said to the Jews, you have judged yourselves unworthy.
Starting point is 01:08:52 Led by Apostles Peter, Paul, and Barnabas, the church fulfilled the revelation of the parable of the wedding feast. God would open the feast to Gentiles because the Jews would not attend. Let me get a drink of water, Doc. Okay. the Jews would not attend. Let me get a drink of water, Doc. Well, and this is one of several invitations that the king sends out. I mean, it wasn't like he
Starting point is 01:09:14 just said one time. One time should have been enough. But several times, he's showing such great compassion and care. I just want my people to come to my son's wedding. Yes. Honor the son.
Starting point is 01:09:31 So the parable of the wedding feast joyfully announces a present salvation. The feast began over 2,000 years ago and it continues today it is not a future event after the second coming of Jesus the feast is underway now our Heavenly Father made the feast for his son all things have been prepared the sacrifice was made the food was prepared the tables were set and awaiting the guest abundant grace is served at every table in the great dining room come now dinner is served enjoy yourself damn sing be happy what more could the king do for you verse 5
Starting point is 01:10:32 but they meaning the Jews made light of it and went their ways one to his farm another to his merchandise made light of it think about that it wasn't enough that they just said we're not coming or not even saying anything at all but they made light of it
Starting point is 01:10:55 it considered it a big joke they had a dismissive contemptuous attitude toward the royal invitation. And again, think about it. You receive an invitation from the White House to attend a White House banquet, and you laugh about it. What does it say about you? So the individuals mentioned in this passage not only rejected the invitation but they made fun of it yes made light of it means they made they mocked it they made fun of it they and they neglected it with indifference. It wasn't that they actively opposed the invitation.
Starting point is 01:11:53 They simply disregarded it. They treated it as insignificant, unworthy of serious consideration. They failed to recognize the significance of the opportunity presented to them. And so the act of making fun, making light of the invitation, was the crowning insult. Because it demonstrated not just rejection, but contempt and belittlement of the invitation. So the action of making light of the invitation is a greater offense than simply refusing to come. Those who made light of the invitation ought to have understood the significance.
Starting point is 01:12:54 The failure to recognize and respond appropriately to the call is a serious shortcoming. And by neglecting the invitation, the Jews forfeited even the advantages they previously possessed. Amen. That's right. So not only did they lose the promised blessings that they would receive by attending the event, they lost the blessings that they previously had been given. It was a double loss. And with their ways, those who dismissed the invitation as not significant chose to prioritize the pursuit of worldly gain over spiritual riches.
Starting point is 01:13:43 That's right. And that behavior parallels the attitude of sinners towards the message of the gospel. It's a common tendency among humans to trivialize or ignore the offer of salvation. The phrase went their ways means they did things according to their own will, not God's divine will. That's really what it means.
Starting point is 01:14:17 They went their ways. They did their thing. They did their will. They had no regard for did their will. They had no regard for God's will. So people who go their own ways are people who will not surrender their will
Starting point is 01:14:34 to the Holy Spirit. And there are many people in churches who have never surrendered their will. They want the benefits, but they don't want to surrender. That's right. That's why you see so much divorce. One or both parties was not in submission to God right they went there and went their ways one to his own farm so one individual chose to attend his own farm. Notice it's his farm. Yes. Ownership.
Starting point is 01:15:36 So this is a preference for selfish enjoyment of possessions. It's a prioritization of earthly comfort and material wealth over spiritual blessings and wealth. And so we can extend the farming analogy to wanting to grow anything. A business, an organization, a ministry, a network of associates, a portfolio. Farming means growing, harvesting. So it's not just working the land people go their own ways they go to their own farm they go to their business they go to their career they go to to their portfolio whatever it is that they're growing they are obsessed with growing something. The man who went to his own farm was obsessed with what he was growing on his farm.
Starting point is 01:16:29 It was more important than going to the wedding. Another to his merchandise. Merchandise includes building and managing a growing business, pursuing a career, building a retirement portfolio, investments, sales, acquisitions, the accumulation of things. just obsessed with buying products online. So this person was engaged in merchandise, the pursuit of financial success, the obsession with material gains that distracted him from responding to the invitation.
Starting point is 01:17:29 So the occupations of farming and trading symbolize the various ways in which individuals can become ensnared by worldly desires and pursuit. Remember, a snare is a trap. One individual was detained by what he already had the merchandiser was trapped by the desire to acquire more so do we learn from this? The occupations of farming and trading symbolize earthly endeavors that distract people from embracing the kingdom of God. with mundane, earthly, worldly, carnal activities and pursuits. So what we see in this parable is the individuals who refuse the invitation are divided into two classes. Both consist of those who are too preoccupied with their worldly concerns to heed the call of the gospel.
Starting point is 01:19:10 Matthew Henry, who was a great Bible commentator back in the 18th century, he interpreted the two classes as rural and urban. Okay, I can see that. Other commentators said the two classes represent production and distribution. Primary activities of human engagement in the world. But all of us, all of us deal with the tension of balancing temporal earthly duties with spiritual responsibilities. All of us deal with it. The parable is teaching us how people can be drawn away from the important spiritual matters
Starting point is 01:20:13 by the attraction of worldly occupations. They become distractions that prevent people from engaging with the gospel. Yes. So the neglect of the gospel invitation is not merely a social blunder, but it involved rejecting the salvation offered by God through Jesus Christ and disregarding the eternal welfare of their souls. Yes.
Starting point is 01:20:55 So. But there's a third category of people out there too, Rick, in verse 6. Who's that? The remnant. Those that were left over took his servants and treated them spitefully and slew them. It wasn't enough for them to make light of the invitation or to go back to the farm or back to the curio shop or anything like that. No, there were a certain group that despised the invitation and despised those that talked about the invitation and killed them.
Starting point is 01:21:39 Yes. So the remnant refers to those who did not respond to the invitation and i would say most likely this includes the scribes the pharisees the chief priests the religious rulers they didn't go back to their shops or their businesses or their farms no they treated them with insult and injury they hunted down the servants they hunted down the messengers who were delivering the invitation so let's say two-thirds of the people went away to do their business. Oh, we don't have time for that party.
Starting point is 01:22:31 It's not that big of a deal. I've got work to do. I've got my farm to take care of. I've got my business. But one third said, let's find the guys that are delivering this invitation and beat them up. Those are the ones with the religious spirits. Yes. It indicates a deeper spiritual rebellion against God in the gospel. The mistreatment of the messengers was a rejection of the authority of the king himself. You beat up the king's messenger, you might as well slug the king.
Starting point is 01:23:16 Yeah, that's true. No king can allow that to happen. Because the messenger is representing the one who sent the message. So what we see in this verse, verse 6, is the historical reality of how God's prophets and messengers were rejected, persecuted, and even killed by the Jewish rulers of Israel. It symbolizes the hostility and the resistance faced by Jesus and his disciples during their ministry, and later by the apostles and all of the first century church leaders. Verse 7, But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth,
Starting point is 01:24:20 and he sent forth his armies and destroyed those murderers and burned up their city. So the invitation symbolized the highest expression of the king's regard for his guests. It represented a great honor that he extended to them but the refusal of the invitation and the mistreatment of his messengers constituted a grave affront and in gratitude towards the king and the severity of the guests actions by beating wounding and killing the king's servants, sent the disrespect shown to His Son and to himself. It's God's anger towards unbelief and disobedience.
Starting point is 01:25:55 The invitation represents God's gracious offer of salvation. The rejection of the invitation represents the Jewish leaders refusal to recognize and accept Jesus as the promised Messiah. And so despite God's patience and long-s long suffering, there comes a time when His wrath is stirred up against those who persist in wickedness and rebellion. Yes. There's a day where grace ends. The time will eventually come for divine judgment. And he sent forth his armies.
Starting point is 01:27:12 God's response to the rejection and mistreatment of his servants is portrayed as sending forth armies signifies a punitive action taken by the king against those who rejected his invitations and harmed his servants. And the use of military imagery emphasizes the severity and the inevitability of the punishment. The term armies, not just one army, multiple armies, emphasizes the scale, the size, the scope of the action taken against him, the seriousness of the punishment. The king sent a significant military force against him. And so what does it represent? It represents the Roman military forces,
Starting point is 01:28:01 which were permitted and appointed by god to execute his judgment upon the rebellious jewish people in 70 a.d the destruction of jerusalem in the temple is once again foretold in a parable the jews at that time didn't know that God was speaking a prophecy yes and it was a short-term prophecy in less than 40 years it was fulfilled and destroyed And destroyed those murderers. So the Jewish people represented by the guests are now described as murderers. Yes. Why? Because they had a long history of persecuting and killing God's prophets. And eventually they killed the son, as we saw in the other parable,
Starting point is 01:29:12 the parable of the vineyard. They said, that's the son, let's kill him and steal his inheritance. So the designation of the invited guest as murderers emphasizes the severity of their crime, which provokes the full extent of the punishment. Yes. And burned up their city. So the city mentioned refers to the city of the murderers. Because it's implying
Starting point is 01:29:56 that they were the ones responsible for the rejection of the king's invitation. So, Doc, I read that as meaning that the Jewish rulers of Jerusalem made it their objective to make sure that nobody responded to the invitation of salvation. Yes. And they're still doing it today. So the destruction of the murderers and the burning up of their cities by the king's
Starting point is 01:30:35 armies is a prophetic warning of the impending judgment upon the Jewish people, which was fulfilled in 70 AD. Yes. So the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple was an act of divine vengeance
Starting point is 01:30:57 carried out through the agency of the Roman armies. And notice, Jerusalem agency of the Roman armies. And notice, Jerusalem was once regarded as the city of the great king. Yes. But now, it is referred to as their city.
Starting point is 01:31:20 So ownership was transferred to the murderers who rejected the king's authority. Their farms, their merchandise, their city. Jerusalem is not my city anymore. All these Christian Zionists who idolize the city of Jerusalem today call it eternal. Yes.
Starting point is 01:31:43 God disowned it 2,000 years he says not my city it's their city and i'm going to burn it up it's a city of murderers it signifies the loss of divine favor and protection due to their disobedience and wickedness and today the city that is built on the rubble of the old city is still a city of murderers yes they're still murdering people so in the parable it was the king himself who ordered the killing of the
Starting point is 01:32:25 murderers and the burning of their city based on that parable alone we know that it was Almighty God who led Rome's armies to Jerusalem to kill the murderers of his son and the prophets and the apostles and to burn down the city in the temple in 70 a.d anybody who says oh god didn't do that well then there they are rejecting the message of this parable so the devastation wrought on Jerusalem is a sobering reminder
Starting point is 01:33:10 of the consequences of rejecting God's offer of salvation and mistreating his messengers it's a warning about the repercussions of disobedience
Starting point is 01:33:25 and the refusal to heed God's call. Because in this parable are the themes of divine justice, accountability, the seriousness of rejecting God's grace and mercy. It's a warning to those who reject the gospel. It's a warning to those who persec the gospel it's a warning to those who persecute the messengers of the gospel because it's telling them severe consequences await you verse 8 then saith he to his servants the wedding ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Then he, the king, said to his servants, the wedding is ready, but those who were invited are not worthy the verse begins with the words then then he said then was after
Starting point is 01:34:32 the king expressed his fury by ordering the killing of the city the wedding is ready the feast remains ready today and will not be canceled or postponed is ready is the present tense it was not ready in the past, nor was it to be ready in the future. The wedding is now. The invitation is now. Now is the time of salvation. Today is the best time ever to be saved. saved but those who weren't ready excuse me but those who were but those who were invited were not worthy wait a minute they had been invited what changed? So upon further examination, the people previously invited
Starting point is 01:35:51 had been found not worthy to attend such an illustrious affair as the son's wedding. Therefore, their invitations were rescinded. Yes. So things are going from bad to worse. The king had not done a deep dive into the lives of those he invited. But when he did,
Starting point is 01:36:17 he rescinded the invitation. Now on second thought, I don't think you're worthy to be here. What was the cause of the invitations being canceled? Were they found to be unworthy because of behavior or character defects? No. They were found to be unworthy because they turned down the invitation to the king's son's wedding. And upon second thought, the king decided he didn't want them at his son's marriage feast
Starting point is 01:36:54 because people who had to be begged to attend an event in the palace were not worthy of a royal invitation. The king was saying to the Jews, if I have to beg you to come into my palace to attend my son's wedding, I don't want you here. I invited you. I extended grace to you. I showed kindness to you. I sent messengers to you i show kindness to you i sent messengers to you multiple times i am not going to beg you and therefore i am going to rescind the invitation and if you show up at the door my servants are going to say you are not permitted on the premises they were not the kind of people the king wanted inside his palace why because they showed disrespect to his son therefore the king showed disinterest in them you showed disrespect to his son he shows
Starting point is 01:37:59 disinterest in you you have no idea how much he loves his son you have no idea how much he adores his son oh you don't want to be disrespecting his son and I'll tell you something else you don't want to do you don't want to be talking ugly about Jesus' mother Mary that's his mama she's still his mama today don't be talking about her you'll get the backhand of Jesus.
Starting point is 01:38:48 The past tense, we're not worthy, indicates that the opportunity for the unworthy had passed. It emphasized the finality of the rejection and the consequences of the rejection. Those who had initially received the invitation had somehow offended the host. So it was the offending the host the king that was the factor in their unworthiness it wasn't their faults it wasn't their their character it was their disrespect their disregard
Starting point is 01:39:41 making light of the invitation that's what caused God to say you're unworthy to be here. Does this drive it home? How dangerous it is for people today to hear the gospel and laugh it off, mock it, make fun of it? There are people today, this very hour, their invitations are being rescinded. Yes. Oh, that frightens me, Doc. That frightens me.
Starting point is 01:40:23 At this very hour, invitations are being rescinded why because angels are going back to the throne saying father we we've invited times and he just laughs at us he he speaks disrespectfully of your son uses your son's name in vain goes on every day no one no one is considered unworthy until they have been offered the opportunity and have refused it yes is it very important to understand no one is unworthy until they have rejected the invitation. Many times God graciously sends his messengers to certain individuals over and over and over. One time I I don't know if the brother is listening on shortwave radio He was a self-proclaimed atheist
Starting point is 01:42:00 His name was John John if you're out there I love you have been seeing him for over 12 12 years or more Doc before you came on board and
Starting point is 01:42:18 he listened to us on shortwave radio and he lived in the rainforest of Costa Rica he was from Great Britain and he listened to us on shortwave radio and he lived in the rainforest of costa rica he was from great britain businessman had made a lot of money and then bought this bought several mountains in costa rica and retired there alone but he was a self-proclaimed atheist, and yet he listened to True News every day on shortwave radio. And to make a phone call, he had to climb on top of a mountain to get a cell phone connection.
Starting point is 01:42:54 And is this the same guy that, even though he was an atheist, he built a chapel in the jungle? Yes, yes. an atheist he built a chapel in the jungle yes yes so he would call me and uh susan would always put the call through to me i always wanted to talk to him i'll talk to an atheist any atheist calls a preacher you're not an atheist you're wanting to be saved you're a prospect that's right you're a prospect you're right right. You're a prospect, Jerry. We got you on the car lot. You're buying a car.
Starting point is 01:43:28 That's right. Why would you go to a Ford dealership and tell them you hate Fords unless you wanted to buy a Ford? So he invited me to Costa Rica, and my son Jeremy and I went to Costa Rica. It was quite an effort to get there. This gentleman graciously had a driver meet us at the airport in San Jose. We had an earthquake while we were there in the hotel, 6 o'clock in the morning, a 5.2 magnitude. Remember that one? Hotel was swaying back and forth. My bed was shaking. The driver took us in a four-wheel drive truck, drove us hours into the mountains. Nighttime came, it was full moon. We're on a one-lane road with no guard rails
Starting point is 01:44:29 winding through the mountains um came to a stop and i go um asked i said why are we stopping he goes this is where you get out and i'm thinking oh, my, what's going to happen here? And he pointed up ahead, and there were two cowboys with several horses and saddles, and he said, they're going to take you the rest of the way. And so Jeremy and I mounted the horses, put our suitcases on one of the horses, and we rode in the mountains for several hours in the moonlight. I remember going down steep hills with a lot of rocks, loose rocks, and the horses' hooves sliding in those rocks.
Starting point is 01:45:19 Aren't you glad it was dark? Oh, yeah, but, Doc, I could hear waterfalls hundreds of feet below. I knew that that old horse fell. That was it. We were going down to the bottom, okay? Finally made it to the end, and beautiful paradise. This man had built multiple structures log log buildings beautiful landscape he had lighting he had his own power system there it was amazing anyhow we spent several days with him and uh one night sitting in his uh library uh you know i'm asking him about why did you why did you bring us here
Starting point is 01:46:08 and you know at one point doc I literally got down on my knees in front of him he's sitting on a chair and I got up to his chair and I got down on my knees and I looked up in his eyes I put put my hand out and I said, John, take my hand, let's pray right now. Let's finish this now. And he drew back and said, I don't pray. And I said, John, you're the most stubborn man I've ever met in my life. I thought he was going to ask me to leave, but we all went to bed. He didn't kick us out. He, as you said, Doc, he built a chapel. I said, why did you build a chapel if you don't believe in God? He goes, i just like the way chapels look sure you do but doc i don't recall how long it was six months a year later he called and he said
Starting point is 01:47:25 he was very excited i heard the change in his voice and i said john what is it he He goes, Rick, I'm saved. I said, oh, John, tell me what happened. He said, I was in the chapel and Jesus appeared. I saw him. Jesus loved that man so much. He made an appearance in that chapel for him. What I'm saying is God is gracious. He's loving, and he will repeatedly send invitations. But if you keep making light of it,
Starting point is 01:47:52 and you keep rejecting the invitations, there's a day he will rescind the invitation. Yes. And you cannot be saved. Right. It's impossible to be saved. That's the warning in this parable. So the wedding is still ready for guests who are willing to come.
Starting point is 01:48:17 It's the longest running wedding party in world history. That party has been underway for 2,000 years. And the doors are wide open today to anybody who will accept it, but close to those who show no interest or disrespect or hostility toward the king, his son, and his bride. We are only worthy to attend when we recognize we are not worthy to attend.
Starting point is 01:49:01 Praise God. We are invited by God's grace. This takes us back to the Beatitudes. Blessed are the poor in spirit. Blessed are those who mourn. What are they mourning about? That they're poor in spirit. What is poor in spirit?
Starting point is 01:49:32 They're poverty stricken. They bankrupt they are spiritually bankrupt we are only worthy to attend the banquet when we recognize we are not worthy to attend but we have been invited by God's grace a person can be considered worthy of attending the marriage when they recognize their own wretchedness and turn to God through the means provided, which is faith in his son, Jesus Christ. Yes. I'm going to try to we're going to go over time. Go ye therefore into the highways and as many as ye shall find bid them to the marriage.
Starting point is 01:50:15 So initially the king invited specific guests to the wedding. Meaning the Jewish people who were then the chosen people of God. However, they rejected the invitation, which symbolizes their rejection of Jesus as the Messiah. Go therefore. In verse 9, the king instructs his servants,
Starting point is 01:50:39 the same servants who had gone to the Jews, the same servants who had been turned down, laughed at, some of them beat. Now the king tells those same servants, go into the highways, go into the byways, go into the main roads, the intersections, invite anyone you find. This represents opening citizenship in the kingdom of God to all people.
Starting point is 01:51:09 The Gentiles, who are the non-Jews, the rest of the human population, the people that the Jews considered unclean. The intersections of the highways. These are the main thoroughfares, the gathering places, the intersections, the crossroads where people from various backgrounds and walks of life gather. It's at the crossroads that you see commerce, where you see development. The most extensive development in any community is at the intersections, the crossroads. Yes.
Starting point is 01:51:53 So the highways represent bustling streets, public spaces, any place where people meet. It symbolizes the accessibility of the gospel message to people of various backgrounds and social statuses and so the reference to the Gentiles is to those living in the highways and the hedges the people who were cast out and despised saying even go beyond the highways get into the byways get into the little dirt roads go way back there in the valley find those guys stay back home go out into the sticks yep go out into the sticks. Yep, go out into the sticks. Go back there and find those old rascals who never come to town except once a year.
Starting point is 01:52:51 Go get them. Everybody's welcome. Well, these people weren't clean. They didn't have clean clothes. This is a different class of people. But the kingdom of God is inclusive salvation is offered to all verse 10 so those servants went out into the highways
Starting point is 01:53:19 and gathered together as many as they found both good and bad and the wedding was furnished with guests they found people from good and bad, and the wedding was furnished with guests. They found people from all walks of life. They made no distinctions based on moral character or social status. And we see that in, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good. That means regardless of their past sins
Starting point is 01:53:48 or their moral standing. Both bad and good were invited and they still are today. Because God's saying, you just come in here, I've got a wedding garment for you. I've already prepared a wedding garment. It doesn't matter that you're dressed in filthy rags.
Starting point is 01:54:16 I have a clean robe of righteousness for you. Amen. Amen. So, Doc, what we see here, there are parallels of this parable with other parables and other teachings of Jesus. Yes. There's the parable of the dragnet that gathers in good fish and bad fish. In both parables, the kingdom of God is depicted as containing a mixture of good and bad. And that tells us there's a reality of spiritual warfare taking place in the church. And that there are both genuine disciples and false believers within the church. So the net collects fish of all kinds.
Starting point is 01:55:33 You've got the wise and the foolish virgins both were virgins yes but five of them were foolish and were not allowed entry into what what were they denied entry to the wedding The wedding. The wedding. You have sheep and goats. There are many analogies in the Bible, many comparisons, parallels. The teaching is the same. That it's God who will decide who is worthy of salvation and then oh my I'm gonna I hate I want to finish this up doc you think we can it's gonna go probably another 15 minutes in it we're gonna verse 11 yeah yeah let's pick this up tomorrow, verse 11, okay? Because I don't want to rush it. There's a lot here to talk about.
Starting point is 01:56:30 Yeah, because that wedding garment is a very deep subject in itself there and requires a lot of attention. We invite you to come back and hear the rest of this tomorrow here on Morning Manna. Just a reminder, we're live every

Other than Morning Man, and maybe you heard us earlier. Look how many people, Doc. Yeah. Look at this.
Starting point is 01:57:58 Well, one thing is, they just don't teach parables today. They just don't teach it anymore. Because parables contradict doctrines the doctrines of men that's right parables contradict doctrines of denominations they're life-changing they're they were very important to jesus they were the they uh in the sales uh realm we called it was his sugar stick and so he
Starting point is 01:58:28 would tell him stories and that told everything you needed to know about the kingdom of heaven ladies and gentlemen I'd like to invite you to join us again on the Tuesday edition of Morning Manna be sure to tell a friend about this tell an enemy you never know they might get on get on board too and so
Starting point is 01:58:46 you know doc what i'm seeing in in the chat a lot of people saying i have never been taught the parables yeah at any time that's that's sad that churches are not teaching the parables. There is a great deal of biblical illiteracy in the church. So it just including the pulpits. Yes. And to me, that's a wonderful opportunity. That means I've got a job till the end of my life. Yeah, we're just going to. And understand, comprehend. All right, we got to go.
