Starting point is 00:00:38 and become prepared today. I never thought I would be compelled to denounce idolatry 38 days into the presidency of Donald Trump, but things got weird last night when the president posted an AI-generated video on his Truth Social platform. This is true news for Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Let's begin our analysis and commentary of today's headlines with this article published by News Nation, Trump Shares AI Video Envisioning Gaza Development with a Gold Statue. Well, the problem is, he's the gold statue. That's right.
Starting point is 00:01:39 So News Nation said, there he is. We're not making this up, folks. If you haven't seen this yet, I want you to just look at the image on the screen. This was posted on Truth Social on the account of Donald J. Trump. You see his name right there. News of the nation said President Trump shared a video on Tuesday evening using artificial
Starting point is 00:02:05 intelligence that showcases his proposal for the potential development of war-torn Gaza. The video features a golden statue of his likeness and beachfront skyscrapers rising from the rubble. The 33-second video, which the President shared on Truth Social, starts with a shot of the city in ruins after the Israeli 15-month bombardment campaign. Text on the screen reads, Gaza 2025. What's next? The AI footage then pans to a scene of presumably tech billionaire Elon Musk enjoying a meal
Starting point is 00:02:43 and laughing as the sun shines and people dance around him. And then from there, it gets weird. It really gets... As if it wasn't weird. It gets really weird after that. So we're going to show you the video. Again, this is a Trump endorsed video.
Starting point is 00:03:00 We don't know if he had it produced or if somebody did it for him, but he liked it, he shared it, and it has gone worldwide. And quite frankly, it's one of the most offensive things I've ever seen. And I will not be silent. Let's watch. Donald is coming to set you free, bringing the light for all to see. No more tunnels, no more fear, Trump Gaza is finally here. Trump Gaza shining bright, golden future, a brand new light. Feast and dance, the deal is done.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Trump Gaza number one. Trump Gaza shining bright, golden future, a brand new life. Feast and dance, the deal is done. Trump Gaza number one. There's so much in it that's shocking, offensive, revolting. First of all, you're taking a place that the Jews destroyed, killed 20,000 children over 15 months, and you're boasting, we're going to get rid of all these leftover kids, and we're going to build this out. We're going to turn it into a Riviera. And then the scenes become decadent. You've got, I don't know, are they bearded women or are they men wearing bikinis?
Starting point is 00:04:34 What were they? Does it matter which one it is? Does it really matter? Yeah, President Trump fondling a prostitute. In a nightclub. in a nightclub. I wonder how Melania thought about that. What did she think about that? But apparently he liked it.
Starting point is 00:04:54 Then you have the golden statue of Donald Trump standing in Gaza. And then it switches to the Trump Gaza Hotel and the hotel store where you can buy a Trump golden idol. Right. That way you can take it home with you. And do what? I guess worship it as much as you worship it in Gaza. Folks, this is idolatry, plain and simple. It's not could-be idolatry, might-be idolatry. It is idolatry, and it needs to be rebuked and denounced and opposed, and you cannot
Starting point is 00:05:44 look the other way and go, well, I don't want to make it into something it's not. No, it's— What is it then? What is it? Tell me what it is. It's idolatry. It's not funny.
Starting point is 00:05:54 It's not cute. It makes a mockery of the dead, of dead people of Gaza. I just, you know. What I've seen in the Bible, what I've seen in the Bible is God tolerates a lot. In fact, I'm amazed at what he tolerates, that how long suffering he is, how patient he is, like people doing really wicked things and yet he doesn't strike them down.
Starting point is 00:06:39 But there's one thing that will get his anger stirred up so fast, and it is when a ruler encourages the people to worship him as a God. What happened to Herod? In the book of Acts, it says that Herod was eaten up with worms when he declared himself God. Well, I'm going to tell Mr. Trump, you keep doing this kind of stuff with your idols, and you're going to get MAGA MAGETS. You're going to have MAGA MAGETS infesting your body. And it will be Almighty God that will fill your body up with maggots because you dare to take on
Starting point is 00:07:31 the image of a God, a golden idol. Everywhere in the Bible, where somebody had a golden idol, God destroyed the land. Pete Slauson Yes. destroyed the land. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw was, my gosh, this is Nebuchadnezzar. Pete Slauson Right. Right out of Daniel's Chapter 3. Pete Slauson This is Daniel's Chapter 3, Nebuchadnezzar. Let's read, I don't care about the Nebuchadnezzar, let's read the entire chapter. Pete Slauson Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Pete Slauson Daniel 3. We're going to dedicate Daniel 3 to Donald J. Trump. Because obviously he's never read it. Let's see. I have here mine is ESV. Mine's Modern English. No, no, I have Modern English. I'm sorry. Okay, so we're on the same page here, okay. Daniel chapter three. Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:32 Could you say President Trump made an image of gold? Whose height was 60 cubits and its width six cubits. What would that, do you know sixty cubits and its width six cubits. What would that be? Do you know your cubits? It would be about ninety foot tall. What was that thing? I would say ninety to a hundred foot tall there.
Starting point is 00:08:57 Gee, it fits the biblical dimensions. He set it up in the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the officials, the governors, and the captains, and the judges, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up. Then the officials, the governors, the captains,
Starting point is 00:09:26 the judges, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces were gathered together to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up. And they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. Doc, I'll let you read four through seven. All right. Starting at verse four, then a herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, that at the time you hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of music, you should fall down and worship the golden image
Starting point is 00:10:06 that Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up. And whoever does not fall down and worship shall the same hour be cast into the furnace of a burning fiery furnace. Therefore at that time when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, sultry, and all kinds of music, all the peoples, the nations, and the languages fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up. Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near and accused the Jews. They spoke and said to King Nebuchadnezzar, O King, live forever. You, O King, have made a decree that every man who hears the sound of the cornet, the flute, the harp, the dulcimer, and all kinds of music, should fall down and worship the golden image. And whoever does not fall down and worship should be cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Starting point is 00:11:06 There are certain Jews whom you have set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O King, have not regarded you. They do not serve your God or worship the golden image which you have set up." Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to be brought. Then they brought these men before the king. Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said to them, Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image which I have set up. Now if you are ready at the time you hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbutt,
Starting point is 00:11:50 sultry and dulcimer and all kinds of music to fall down and worship the image which I have made very well. But if you do not worship, you shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace. And who is that God who can deliver you out of my hands?' Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to give you an answer in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace,
Starting point is 00:12:20 and he will deliver us out of your hand, O King. But even if he does not, be it known to you, O King, that we will not serve your gods, nor worship the golden image which you have set up." John Deakins Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the form of his image was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Therefore, he spoke and commanded that they should heat the furnace seven times more than usually heated. He commanded the most mighty men of the army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Then these men were bound in their trousers, their coats, and their hats, and they were other garments, and they were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Therefore, because of the king's commandment, it was urgent, and the furnace exceedingly hot. The flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down, bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace." Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished and said to his counselors, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said to the king, True, O king. He answered and said, But I see four men loose and walking in the midst of the fire, and they are unharmed, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God." Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and spoke, and said,
Starting point is 00:14:12 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, you servants of the Most High God, come out and come here. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the midst of the fire. The officials, governors, and captains, and the kings, counselors, being gathered together, saw these men upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was a hair of their head singed. Neither were their coats changed, nor had the smell of fire even come upon them. Then Nebuchadnezzar spoke and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants who trusted in him. They have defied the king's word and yielded their bodies that they might not serve nor
Starting point is 00:14:58 worship any god except their own god. Therefore I make a decree that every people, nation, and language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill, because there is no other God who can deliver this way." Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon. And the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon. So, I feel compelled to go on record, not for mankind. I'm going on record in heaven. That I denounce Donald Trump's idolatry. I rebuke him for it.
Starting point is 00:15:53 He is leading this country into idolatry. This headline, this photograph, this image is worldwide. It's on the front pages of every newspaper around the world. What are the people thinking about us? image is worldwide. It's on the front pages of every newspaper around the world. What are the people thinking about us, the American people? We're being led into the idolatry of a political leader to worship a golden image of a political leader and to make it even worse This is in the Holy Land. Yes, you're getting so dangerously close to outright
Starting point is 00:16:35 Defiance of Almighty God it is already defined but to put it in the Holy Land How far away are we? from mr. Trump I've told you I think he's going to take Israel. How far are we from Mr. Trump seizing Israel someday and demolishing the Asquamar Mosque and building a temple? Yes. Golden Temple.
Starting point is 00:17:03 And putting his statue in the temple. Is it feasible now, Doc? Yes. Not out of the question now, is it? No, it's not. Is he an Antichrist wannabe? Or is he an Antichrist? Well, when you do things like this, you have the spirit of Antichrist operating. Listen, we can debate back and forth on Trump policies, politics, and everything else all day long. But this, you have to call out. You have to call this out. You have to rebuke him. This isn't a news issue we're talking about here.
Starting point is 00:17:49 No. It has nothing to do with politics. How many preachers are quiet today? The national religious broadcasters are having their convention right now, today, this week, in Dallas, Texas. Do you think anybody has spoken in the convention and said, we have to rebuke President Trump for his idolatry? There should be weeping and repentance at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention this week because of this. We've built
Starting point is 00:18:17 this. The evangelicals created this. Yes. And now, Donald Trump accepts it and celebrates it. I'm at a loss for words. I am too. And I rarely am. But on this, I'm at a loss for words. Look, when Barack Obama was in the White House, his followers would refer to him as a messiah-like figure. Right. And I would rebuke him. Right.
Starting point is 00:18:47 Mr. Obama, he handed around, you know, that he was godlike, and I rebuked him. He played along with it. He played along with it, and I rebuked him. And I said, you're obligated to tell your followers that what they're saying is blasphemous. So, I spoke out against Barack Obama. I'm obligated to speak out against Donald Trump. I don't know where we're going to be a week from now. I mean, this is a man who says, I'm going to seize Canada. I'm going to seize Greenland. I'm going to seize Canada. I'm going to seize Greenland.
Starting point is 00:19:25 I'm going to take Panama. I'm going to take the minerals of Ukraine. I'm going to put up a statue, a golden statue of myself in Gaza. I'm going to take Gaza. I'm going to get rid of all the Gaza homeless people, two million. I'm going to get rid of all of them. I'm going to get rid of all of them. Who talks like this?
Starting point is 00:19:53 Who talks like this? I think we may have been, the Christians may have been bamboozled. Well yes we were. And I say we, I mean collectively. But we've been calling this out, we've been crying out about this and this trend and this tendency. crying out about this and this trend and this tendency? And I can hear people say, well, what were you going to do, Rick, elect Kamala Harris? I didn't, I'm not supporting, this is beyond politics. You can't endorse idolatry. I don't care who the politician is.
Starting point is 00:20:43 Nebuchadnezzar was a politician. He put up an idol of himself and said, when the music plays, you fall down. That's right. And you know, the evangelicals here in the US, they can say, well, that's nothing of our doing. That's the same excuse that Aaron and the people gave Moses when Moses came down from the mountain. And where'd this idol come from? Where'd this
Starting point is 00:21:09 golden calf come from? I've never understood that, Doc, how the Hebrews knew that Moses was on Mount Sinai talking to God. They could see the lightning. They could hear the thunder. They saw the clouds. They said, something really big is going on up there with Moses. He's up there by himself with God. Where did they come up with the idea to build a golden calf and take their clothes off and dance around it? Who came up with that idea? Of all times, your leaders on the mountain talking to Almighty God, and you decide decide you're gonna take your clothes off and dance around a golden cow and And Aaron's excuse was well, they just gave me the gold not threw it in the fire and outcomes a cow outcomes
Starting point is 00:21:53 Like you know a cow No, they fashioned it. They they put it together. They molded it But why'd you take your clothes? Why'd you take your clothes off and dance around it naked? Because they were worshipping it. That's how weird humans are. And let me tell you right now, the MAGA people, the MAGA fanatics who are defending this statue, you're just as bad as the Hebrews that danced around a cow. You're no different.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Either you denounce it or you own it. So one or the other. Denounce it or own it. Okay, now that we've dealt with the strangest, most bizarre news story, this is probably the strangest story I've had in 26 years. I can't look back and say, well, you know, there was a time when George W. Bush proposed that we worship him. I mean, who— mean, nobody does this.
Starting point is 00:23:07 Yeah, I mean, even those times where we're hinting around at Obama as a messiah, we never, it never got to a point where they said, God, worship me. I mean, Christians were all worked up that George Herbert Walker Bush said the words, New World Order. Now, and let's think about it, they've all worked up. Let's flip the script. If there was a 90 foot statue of Joe Biden, would- He'd fall off the stage.
Starting point is 00:23:35 But, you know, assuming it remained proper and everything, what would be the reaction of people? Cytometry. Right. And that he'd get it from the left and the right. Absolutely. But I have not seen one person on the right. Well, I've got to take that back.
Starting point is 00:23:53 I went to True Social, and Doc, the people are tearing him up. Look at this. This is True Social. These are the responses. The video is shocking, disturbing, deeply disrespectful, disgusting. Look at this. People are saying the same thing. I didn't even see this. Right. Gold statues are indicative of self-worship such as in Nebuchadnezzar's day. This is on true social. And on the video post. On Donald Trump's page on his own platform.
Starting point is 00:24:31 This feels all wrong and actually makes me sick. I've supported you since day one, but this is filth. There is no God in this. Oh, there is a God in it. There is. Janet, whoever on your communications team approved this to be released tonight should be strongly re-evaluated for their skills and strategy approach. I'm telling you Donald Trump approves every post.
Starting point is 00:24:54 I'm letting you know. Yes. He approves every post. Beverly says bearded belly dances, you dancing with someone other than your wife. That was weird for me, and I love you Trump. I love you, Trump. I love you, Trump. But this should be deleted. Not good. Not called out, but deleted. It's bad PR. Susan, how horrible. The golden statue is frightening. Reminds me of Antichrist.
Starting point is 00:25:17 Please don't forget that this is not pleasing to God. Last one here. Something does not add up here. It really does not feel that this is something Trump would post. He did! I wonder if someone is messing with his account. See, they got to come up with an excuse here, Rick. I surely hope so.
Starting point is 00:25:37 Very creepy. And this is just plain wrong. This video is in very bad taste and just plain horrible. The gold statue is 100% wrong. This video is in very bad taste and just plain horrible. The gold statue is 100% wrong. No matter which way you try to make it come across, this video makes me sick. This is the tone of the comments. I checked five minutes before I walked into the studio half hour ago. The video He hasn't taken it down. That tells me he deliberately wants that, intentionally wants that image to be seen. Yes.
Starting point is 00:26:15 Yeah. And Donald Trump, when it comes to true social or X or anything like that, don't be under the impression that he hands it off to somebody. No. He personally approves every post He owns the platform. Yes, and it's his account on his platform, right? Someone defend this for me who can defend this defend this for me People won't defend the doc. they just won't denounce it. Why?
Starting point is 00:26:48 They're afraid. What are they afraid of, Rick? Donald Trump. You know who I'm afraid of? I'm afraid of Almighty God. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego weren't afraid of Nebuchadnezzar, were they? They said, throw us into the furnace. If we burn up, we burn up,
Starting point is 00:27:07 but we're not going to bow. Either way, we're not going to worship the idol. But there was a fourth man in the fire. Praise God. And his name is Jesus Christ. One like the Son of God. The Lord Jesus Christ got in that furnace with those three Hebrews. That's why I'm not afraid. I wish I didn't have to do this. I wish I didn't have to get up today and say, I got to denounce Donald J. Trump today for idolatry. That really wasn't something I wanted to do, Doc.
Starting point is 00:27:46 No. I often kid around with you. I said, Rick, if I told you a year ago that we would see something like this, but if I would have told you yesterday. No, I wouldn't have. Not even yesterday would I have believed. If you would have said, hey, you know what the number one story is going to be on True News Tomorrow?
Starting point is 00:28:02 A big golden image of Donald Trump in Holy Land. But the positive side of it is Jesus is coming. We're really close. We're really close, Doc. Yes. The Antichrist is warming up. The Antichrist might be Donald Trump. I don't know. But whoever it is, it's getting really close. They're bringing out the big images, the big statues in the Holy Land. I'm just trying to—I wish I was in a secret dispensational meeting today, and just to hear how they're handling this. How John Hagee and Lance Wallnau and David Jeremiah and all these guys, they're sitting around a table.
Starting point is 00:28:48 Well, we've got a gold statue of Donald Trump. Praise God, it's gold. God made gold, and God made Donald Trump. Or they're saying, well, we've got good news and bad news. The good news is, hey, we were right about that gold statue going to be placed in Jerusalem. The bad news is Donald Trump. Wow. Okay, well let's go on to the other news, Financial Times. Ukraine agrees to mineral deal with the U.S. Now, nothing's signed. Right. We'll just pretend that the statue doesn't exist. Okay, we'll get back to just regular news, like conquering Ukraine.
Starting point is 00:29:30 That's just regular news, Doc. If I only told you a year ago. No, once again. So, our regular news now is we're conquering countries and taking their minerals. That's our regular news now. Yes. So Financial Times is reporting about this agreement. It says, although the text of the agreement lacks explicit security guarantees, officials have argued that they had negotiated far more favorable terms and
Starting point is 00:29:57 depicted the deal as a way of broadening the relationship with the U.S. to shore up Ukraine's prospects after three years of war. Now, once again, this is Financial Times saying this. It says, the Minerals Agreement is only part of the picture. We have heard multiple times from the US administration that it's part of a bigger picture. That's come from Olaher, Stefan, and Ishii, Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister and Justice Minister who had led the negotiations, speaking to the Financial Times, the final version of the agreement, dated February 25th and seen by the Financial Times, would establish a fund into which Ukraine would contribute
Starting point is 00:30:35 50% of proceeds from the future monetization of state-owned mineral resources, including oil and gas and associated logistics. The fund would also be able to invest in projects in Ukraine. Now, Financial Times goes on to say that Ukraine has large underground deposits of critical minerals and a variety of minerals that are essential for an array of industries from defense to electric vehicles. The agreement, now this is something to think about here, excludes mineral resources that already contribute
Starting point is 00:31:09 to Ukrainian government coffers, meaning it would not cover the existing activities of local Ukrainian industry, Ukraine's largest gas and oil producers. However, it omits any reference to U.S. security guarantees, which Kiev had originally insisted on return in agreeing to the deal. It also leaves crucial questions such as the size of the U.S. stake in the fund and the terms of joint ownership deals to be thrashed out in follow-up agreements.
Starting point is 00:31:41 Donald Trump, when he was answering questions from the press earlier today, didn't have a chance to bring this over, said that we are not giving any security guarantees to Ukraine. None. We are just working out a deal here. We're going to have a U.S. presence there, but we are not offering any kind of security guarantees for Ukraine. It's also, there's no indication that Mr. Zelensky has agreed. I mean, I see the headlines. Right. Wall Street Journal, Ukraine agrees to a mineral rights deal with the US.
Starting point is 00:32:20 And this is repeated across all the mainstream outlets. The headlines are there, but I can't find anything where there's a quote from Mr. Zelensky where he says, yes, I've agreed to it. I'm going to Washington on Friday to sign it. I suspect knowing the way Mr. Zelensky operates that he might be planning to... He's using the Friday meeting as... He's been angling for months to get invited to Washington. Right. He finally has a way to get to Washington,
Starting point is 00:32:59 making Mr. Trump believe he's coming to sign the agreement. I don't know what would happen if he gets in the White House Friday and refuses to sign it. Has anybody ever been kicked out of the White House, literally been kicked out, like they open the door and they toss him out in the parking lot? If he does something like that, that's probably what's going to happen.
Starting point is 00:33:24 It's not going to be a pretty scene. And then what happens to Ukraine after that? If he did something that ridiculous, I think Mr. Trump would then just call Vladimir Putin and say, you and I own Ukraine. Let's carve it up and do what we want. We're done with Zelensky. Russia today, Russia against NATO troop deployment in Ukraine, Sergey Lavrov, once again reiterating, I don't know where they're coming up with this idea that we're going to accept European peacekeepers. It's not going to happen. Not a possibility. Just
Starting point is 00:34:01 not going to happen. He said, we cannot consider any options. I don't know what Macron said, but Trump said that the decision to deploy peacekeeping forces is possible only with the consent of both parties, apparently meaning us and Ukraine. No one has asked us about this. Mr. Lavrov went on to say that the idea of deploying foreign troops to Ukraine is being pushed by the Europeans, primarily France and the British, and suggested that this is being done to further heat up the conflict and stop any attempt to calm it down. Right. Which is exactly what they would do. They could get the French and British troops inside Ukraine. They would just keep the
Starting point is 00:34:43 fighting going. Right. It's just NATO doing what NATO does. But now this next story. And I had to file this under Rick Was Right Again. South China Morning Post. China could take peacekeeping role in post-war Ukraine. Chinese PLA troops in Europe. We should just say, you know, in our opening line on true news, true news in advance.
Starting point is 00:35:13 It's really what we're doing. So South China Morning Post is reporting that China's potential peacekeeping role in post-war Ukraine may allow Beijing to expand its influence in military training, but it could also backfire, experts say. Until recently, it might have seemed unthinkable for Chinese military forces to be president in Europe. However, a potential plan is being discussed in which Beijing could send peacekeeping forces to Ukraine after a ceasefire in its war with Russia. Retired Senior Colonel Zhao Bo, who has been involved in China's UN peacekeeping operations,
Starting point is 00:35:51 was one of the Chinese analysts who raised the possibility with the South China Morning Post. According to a report by The Economist this month, American officials also suggested it. If such a deployment were to occur, it would mark an unprecedented presence of Chinese peacekeeping forces, primarily military personnel, on the European continent. Some analysts have argued it would be a significant display of China's growing global influence, an opportunity to solidify its international image, and a means of further training its troops, while others said the risk might outweigh the benefits. China could collaborate with non-NATO countries like India
Starting point is 00:36:33 without invoking Russia's concerns over European involvement. Sijow, who is now a senior fellow at the Center for International Security and Strategy at Tsinghua University. However, any deployment would need to be carried out under the framework of the United Nations. So, there's a hint in there that Indian troops could also be in Ukraine. Right. Chinese and Indian troops. Two Asian countries are sending peacekeeping forces to Europe. Strange times that we're living in. Just incredible, Rick.
Starting point is 00:37:19 Jesus is coming, Doc. Yes. He's coming. Folks, yeah, get excited about it. Get excited about it. Christ is coming, Doc. Yes. He's coming. Folks, yeah, get excited about it. Get excited about it. Christ is coming back. We're going to go through some really weird stuff for a number of years. It's going to get weirder, stranger.
Starting point is 00:37:34 Weirder than today? Yes. It's going to get stranger, more dangerous, crazier. Just get through it, okay? Just make up your mind you're going to get through it because at the end is Christ. Christ in the eternal kingdom of God. I'll go through whatever I gotta go through to get to that part. I don't care, Doc. I don't want to be tortured. I don't want to go through anything. Right.
Starting point is 00:38:02 But if they got to cut my fingers off so I get to the kingdom, do what you got to do. I'm going to the kingdom. I am going to the kingdom of God, period. That's where I'm headed. Nothing's going to stop me. Nothing's going to deter me. My heart is fixed on eternal life with my Father. That's what I desire. That's what I think about. That's what I hunger. That's the passion in my heart. I'm going to go home with my Father. End of discussion. Whatever I got to go through in this world, bring it on. Let's get it done. I'm going home with my Father. You. Okay. You got to have that mindset. Get rid of that idea, oh, we're going to be raptured and taken out.
Starting point is 00:38:49 Yeah, all right. Didn't think you'd be here to see a big old golden statue of the President of the United States, did you? And you're going to be put up in the Holy Land. Yeah. Where's the rapture at? Yeah. Well, let's see what else we have here in crazy land.
Starting point is 00:39:06 London Telegraph. Trump said the EU was formed to, I hate using this word, because it's a sexual term. People use that word all the time. It's a sexual term. But he said it. That's what he said. People that word all the time. It's a sexual term. But he said it. That's what he said. People use it all the time. They don't even think about what they're saying.
Starting point is 00:39:31 I've heard it in pulpits. Yes. I've heard pastors say it. In churches. We got a video. This is President Trump. And he does say it in the video. But he's correct, but it was the CIA formed the European Union.
Starting point is 00:39:53 I don't know if he knows that. Has anybody told him yet? The CIA created the European Union? I guarantee you John Radcliffe did not tell him that. Well, I just did. Let's watch. European Union's been, it was formed in order to screw the United States.
Starting point is 00:40:11 I mean, look, let's be honest. The European Union was formed in order to screw the United States. That's the purpose of it. And they've done a good job of it, but now I'm president. What will happen if these countries or the EU retaliate? They can't. I mean, they can try, but they can't.
Starting point is 00:40:26 China did. They are pledging to, sir. Yes. And some of that is in there? Yes. Okay, because we have a longer form of this video. It kind of sets up where he got to that statement. The conversation started about European tariffs.
Starting point is 00:40:40 Yeah, so he's placing tariffs on Europe. So let's watch. This is Fox News. Mr. President, have you made a decision on what level you will seek on tariffs in the European Union? We have made a decision. We'll be announcing it very soon and it'll be 25 percent, generally speaking, and that'll be on cars and all other things. And European Union is a different case than Canada, different kind of case. They've really taken advantage of us in a different way. They don't accept our cars. They don't accept essentially our farm products.
Starting point is 00:41:14 They use all sorts of reasons why not. And we accept everything of them and we have about a $300 billion deficit with the European Union. Now I love the countries of Europe. I guess I'm from there at some point, a long time ago, right? But indirectly, well, pretty directly too, I guess. But I love the countries of Europe. I love all countries, frankly, all different, but European Union's been, it was formed in order to screw the United States. I mean, look, let's be honest. The European Union was formed in order to screw the United States. I mean, look, let's be honest. The European Union was formed in order to screw the United States.
Starting point is 00:41:48 That's the purpose of it. And they've done a good job of it, but now I'm president. What will happen if these countries or the EU retaliate? They can't, I mean, they can try, but they can't. China did, they opposed tariffs. That went into effect, China's retaliation to tariffs on the 10th of February. Has there been any impact if you've been able to observe? That's right.
Starting point is 00:42:07 No, they can do it and they can try, but the numbers can never equal what ours because we can go off. We are the pot of gold. We're the one that everybody wants and they can retaliate, but it cannot be a successful retaliation because we just go cold turkey. We don't buy anymore. And if that happens, we win. So if you go to the London Telegraph, you'd have to go back about 15 years in their archives.
Starting point is 00:42:38 And there's an article, I can see it, Doc. I see it in my mind. I remember reading it. Remember using it on my mind. I remember reading it. I remember using it on true news. I would say sometime before 2005, 2001, 2003, somewhere in that area. I can find it. But it was an article that appeared in the London Telegraph that gave the history of the European Union as it was formed by the CIA. The CIA was a fairly new agency in the 50s. It used to be called the OSS, and then the name was changed to CIA. But they formed the European Union, and it's been managed by the CIA ever since.
Starting point is 00:43:32 So intelligence agencies basically run the country, run the world. It's really the secret government that's running the world. And they don't, they're not the final say. They work for others, okay? I want to make that clear. So in the EU, so let's see, we've been in war with, did you find it? One of our team members found it.
Starting point is 00:44:04 So I believe this is it. I don't know if you can pull that up, Lee, the one from The Telegraph. And so it is London Telegraph. I'm not sure what year this is. What's the date? So I'll get an update on the date here. Ambrose Evans-Preshard wrote it.
Starting point is 00:44:27 Yes. The European Union always was a CIA project. This is actually from 2016. That's updated because this is when Britain was trying to get out of the European Union. But there's another story that goes back years earlier. But there you see the European Union always was a CIA project. All right, we've got another one here. This is also the telegraph. This is from the year 2000. That's this is it. All right, and I don't know if you can pull this one up or not.
Starting point is 00:44:57 Folks, you're watching the news live here. Look at this. Well, there's the paywall there. But it says, you're a federalist financed by US spy chiefs. And it goes on through talking about the setup of the American Committee for the United... There you go. ... Unification of Europe. That's the article. That's the one I read in the year 2000. Yes. September 2000.
Starting point is 00:45:21 I've been doing this job a long, long time. I bet you know what you had for lunch that day I probably did probably could tell you so But the fact of the matter is the CIA or the OSS back in its previous incarnation There they are the founders really of the European Union. That's right So don't forget that of the European Union. That's right.
Starting point is 00:45:42 So don't forget that. And maybe someone should let John Reitkleff know. So he can tell the president. So we've had this three-year war in Ukraine fighting the Russians. And we've been told by the media and the politicians, we are fighting for democracy. European-American values, democracy.
Starting point is 00:46:04 Well, let's see how the European Union, how they're holding up, democracy. Yes. Well, let's see how the European Union, how they're holding up in democracy. So the leading candidate for president of Romania was arrested. Yes. Well, that's kind of like the old Romanian Communist Party. Yeah, like they used to do. Like the way they used to do it. It's like the good old days in Romania, except now it's at the hands of NATO.
Starting point is 00:46:30 Well, see, so they had—was it Romania that had the election that was—yeah, they had an election and they won. And the European Union had the election annulled. Right. Just like they did in Georgia here a few weeks ago. And then you had the European leaders who said, hey, if Germany votes the wrong way, we could annul their election. We have tools, we have ways to fix elections. Just in case the AFD did pull off a big win there.
Starting point is 00:46:57 So he got arrested. Well, Romanian police have arrested Caelan Gheorghescu, the frontrunner, in last year's annulled presidential election, and conducted dozens of raids on his supporters and people tied to his campaign. Jurgescu, a critic of NATO and the EU and an opponent of sending aid to Ukraine, made headlines in November last year when he unexpectedly garnered 23% of the vote in the first round of the presidential election in Romania. However, the Constitutional Court, just the irony of that, annulled the results shortly before the second round, citing intelligence documents alleging irregularities in his campaign.
Starting point is 00:47:39 Look what we found. So the same techniques. Yes. Intelligence agencies submitting fake documents. Right. To take down a presidential candidate. Right. Now, Jouzecki's team said on Facebook that he was arrested just as he was about to submit his new presidential candidacy.
Starting point is 00:47:59 They said the system stopped him in traffic and he was pulled over for questioning at the prosecutor general's office. Where is democracy? Where are the partners who must defend democracy, his team wrote. Before his arrest, Ghezescu condemned the raids on his supporters in a post on Facebook. The communist Bolshevik system continues its odious abuses, he wrote, accusing the Romanian authorities of trying to invent evidence to justify the theft of the elections
Starting point is 00:48:29 and to do anything to block my new candidacy for the presidency. Now, the Romanian Prosecutor General's Office is reportedly investigating Jejescu over allegations of involvement in what they're calling a fascist organization and the promotion of controversial ideologies and historical figures in the public space. In other words, words. Yes, things he said.
Starting point is 00:48:58 They arrested him for words. Not for burning down a building, not for searching somebody, but for saying things. Okay, so we got some video. This first one shows him where the police stopped his car. That's him sitting in the back seat. Yes. And they're showing him the arrest documents. They do it all legal. Yes, very legal.
Starting point is 00:49:23 They make it legal. So this is... Policeman was very polite. It was like, you know, Mr. what's his name? Terjescu. Terjescu. We know you're the leading candidate for president, but I've been sent here to arrest you. And we've got more police on the way.
Starting point is 00:49:41 Right. And we're going to take you in to the judge. We'll see what they're going to do with you. And then the next video, we see him. The next video is when they're leading him into the police station here. So there's Jouzeckiou in the blue sweater there, the blue jacket. And they're about ready to enter the local precinct there. I just, because of things he said.
Starting point is 00:50:07 Against NATO. Right. And the European Union. Called him Communist Bolsheviks. Probably the best description of him ever. People are upset. This is today, these are his supporters. Yes. Who are outside the courthouse demanding his release. outside the courthouse demanding his release. This is at the hands of NATO, folks. NATO. Yes.
Starting point is 00:50:31 NATO fighting for democracy. Yes. So this is how democracy works at the hands of NATO. Criticize NATO? Well, guess what? You have a revolution or your candidate will go to prison. Here in the United States, we finally figured out what Tulsi Gabbard had to say to be confirmed by the Senate.
Starting point is 00:50:57 We have it because they didn't want to confirm her as National Intelligence Director. And then finally her... Because she was on the side of Putin. And what other things? Well, she just wasn't a warmonger. Right. So what did she say that convinced the warmongers in Congress, the deep state senators, to vote for her? Well, now we know.
Starting point is 00:51:23 US Intel chief Tulsi Gabbard declares radical Islamic terrorism is the most urgent national security threat in America. Really? You know she doesn't believe it. Her mouth had to say what her brain knew was not true. But this is the only way she could become national security director. Now, before- A national intelligence director.
Starting point is 00:51:49 Before anyone accuses us of just issuing some kind of propaganda by Al Jerminer here, we have her on tape, okay? We have her talking to Fox News and admitting that the biggest threat that we have is that it's those radical Muslims, Rick. They're out to get us. They're everywhere. They're trying to kill us, trying to chop off our heads.
Starting point is 00:52:10 Don't go outside. Joe Biden once said that white supremacy was the single greatest terrorist threat to our homeland. What do you feel is the greatest threat to the American people's safety? We look at the last four years of open borders, where we had tens of millions of people come across our borders, many of whom we don't know who they are or what their intentions are. And very specifically, the threat of radical Islamist terrorism here within our country is higher than it's ever been before, not only because
Starting point is 00:52:46 of President Biden's open borders, but because of his and his administration's fear of being called Islamophobes. They took their attention and our resources away from that threat and once again pointed it at our fellow Americans. You know, it's, but we've seen this before. Oh, seen this same thing over. So Tulsi Gabbard was forced to say it. It's easy to hate Muslims, isn't it?
Starting point is 00:53:15 It is. Because they're over there. But it's, it's, they're strange. But Doc, it's to prepare you to kill Arabs. Yes. But Doc, it's to prepare you to kill Arabs. Yes. Okay, they're telling you now our greatest national security threat are Arabs. Not Chinese infiltrating every telephone in America.
Starting point is 00:53:39 No, it's just Arabs. So what do we got to do? We're going to have to, we're getting ready to go kill Arabs. Starting with two and a half million Palestinians. Right. And then, let's, hey, while we're at it, let's go to Iran, too. You think we're crazy about this?
Starting point is 00:53:56 Look at this headline in the Telegraph. I was like, Doc, I had to look at the date to make sure that I wasn't seeing an old article. Iran, on high alert amid fears of attack on nuclear sites? This is what The Telegraph reported this last night. Iran has put its defense systems around its nuclear sites on high alert amid fears of an attack by Israel and the United States. According to two high-level government sources, the Islamic Republic has been bolstering defenses
Starting point is 00:54:29 around key sites, which include the deployment of additional air defense system launchers. Officials say the measures are in response to growing concerns of potential joint military actions by Israel and the United States, it follows warnings from U.S. intelligence that Israel would likely target key Iranian nuclear sites this year. The article goes on to say that they, the Iranian authorities, are just waiting for the attack and are anticipating it every night, and everything has been on high alert, even in sites that no one knows about. Goes on to say work to fortify nuclear sites has been ongoing for years, but it has intensified
Starting point is 00:55:14 over the past year, particularly since Israel launched the first attack. And recent developments, including President Trump's comments and reports about potential plans from his administration to strike Iran, have further intensified those activities. Now, the official— But that's the opposite of what I've heard him say. Yes. He said, we don't have any plans to attack Iran. But Israel does.
Starting point is 00:55:39 So is this Netanyahu's deal over Gaza? Okay, you want to take Gaza? I won't fight you over Gaza if you agree to destroy Iran. Is that the deal they made? Where did this come from? Well, in the Golden Gaza video, you had Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu enjoying the sun sunny Beaches of Gaza drinking a cocktail. Yes And mr. Trump put that on his true social page. Look at me and BB. We're there. We're enjoying Gaza, so did they make a deal in the past week or two and that deal?
Starting point is 00:56:26 Centered around you've got to destroy Iran. Because Mr. Trump himself, just a few weeks ago, when Mr. Netanyahu was here, Mr. Trump said, I'm not interested in bombing Iran and the smithereens. He goes, I want them to prosper. I thought, wow, this is good. Or is this story coming out of Israeli propaganda, and they're telling us Mr. Trump is going to bomb Iran, but he really hasn't agreed to it? Okay, I'll take you one step further. Based on what we know about Donald Trump up to this point, the dealmaker— Oh, I know where you're going on this one. That they're stirring all this dust up so that Donald Trump can enter into the negotiations and negotiate a settlement with Iran.
Starting point is 00:57:14 I'll take it. I'll take it. You'll trump me? I'll raise you. I'll trump you on this. I'll raise you. What if Donald Trump is trying to terrify the Iranians and make them believe he's really ready to attack, and then he says, but I'll give you an option.
Starting point is 00:57:36 You've got a lot of minerals in Iran. You got oil? You got oil? Lot of oil. Let's make a deal. We won't blow you up, but we get 50% of everything you got. Just like a mafia deal. Just like the mafia.
Starting point is 00:57:53 We won't blow up your country. We get 50%. You get to keep 50% of what you own. Nice country you got there. Sure would be a shame if something were to happen to it. That gets burned to the ground. We'll let you have 50% of what you own Watch the news cycle now here over the next week because now I think it could actually happen. I really do I
Starting point is 00:58:15 Think this is the new plan You just go country to country say we're gonna blow you up Unless unless you give us half of what you got blow you up. Unless you give us half of what you got. It seems so bizarre, but it's happening in front of us. London Times, the Trump USAID freeze may force Stonewall to cut up its to cut up to half of its staff okay Stonewall is a leading homosexual lesbian gay rights organization in Great Britain right wait a minute because Donald Trump cut shut down USAID right a homosexual organization in Great Britain is going to lay off 50% of their staff. So the American taxpayers were financing a gay rights group in London.
Starting point is 00:59:12 Yes. Right? Yep. You got it. That's it. I told you you're going to start seeing these organizations closing up. That's right. So London Times reports that United UK's Stonewall could be forced to cut up to half its staff after President Trump's decision to freeze foreign aid. On Thursday, workers at the LGBT charity were told that restructuring would occur and that only roles with dedicated funding would be safe. In other words, we're out of money, folks. Simon Blake, Stonewall's chief executive, made the announcement in an office-wide Teams
Starting point is 00:59:48 call which was said to have left its 114-member staff shell-shocked. Sources said they believed up to half the workforce could be made redundant in the move, which they were told would secure the future of Stonewall for the long term as a significant LGBTQ plus organization able to deliver impactful campaigns and legislative change across the UK and further afield. Now, Stonewall also received funding from the US through what's called the Global Equity Fund. That was administered by the State Department, Rick.
Starting point is 01:00:24 Now, the GEF has given the charity more than a half a million pounds in the past three years. The GEF focuses on advancing LGBTI rights around the world. And it's a pooled fund with contributions from numerous countries and private businesses. So we were financing a Londonbased homosexual organization which then took the money and forced their values on other small countries. Yes.
Starting point is 01:00:51 We were outsourcing it. I got a lot of headlines I want to go through very quickly here. Newsweek delayed to Jeffrey Epstein files being released raises questions. What's taking so long? Pam Bondi, attorney general? You said it was on your desk. Right. Get it off your desk. Cash Patel said day one they would be released. What's going on? Is Israel's name on too many pages? Something's happening. I mean, social media has lit up
Starting point is 01:01:19 over this. I mean, it really is. Come on that somebody's trying to stall Somebody is doing something because their names on these documents that that Are going to do great damage to certain powerful people, right? Express Tribune Pakistan FBI allegedly deleting Jeffrey Epstein records Yeah, you're not gonna see this headline in the United States. No, I had to go to Pakistan to get that headline. I had to find it in a Pakistani newspaper. FBI allegedly deleting Jeffrey Epstein records.
Starting point is 01:01:58 I'm not going to show it because of the time. There's a clip from the Benny Johnson show. And he did an interview with the whistleblower. But I am going to put up on screen the ex-post by Michael Schellenberger. And he said, FBI whistleblower confirmed to me that a source inside FBI said FBI employees were destroying evidence on servers and that he
Starting point is 01:02:26 informed Cash Patel. And in the Benny Johnson clip that we can't get to today, he specifically pointed out the Epstein files. So it wasn't just a general deletion of files, but specifically related to the Epstein case. Could it be related to Israel? Could Israel be in the Epstein files, the JFK files? You know, just go down the list. Is it Israel? And I've heard excuses. One of the reasons why they can't release the Epstein files
Starting point is 01:02:59 is because there's an ongoing case against Jalain Maxwell, that there are still things that they're processing through additional charges. But why not say that? Why not just say that? Right, say we can't do it. Don't just leave people in the dark on it. Just simply say we don't want to mess up our case.
Starting point is 01:03:17 Kind of like the drones, the New Jersey drones. That no one could know who it was except the FAA approved them. Tulsi Gabbard fired 100 intelligence staffers at the NSA yes this is for the perverted sick twisted sex chat rooms so there's the first hundred yes And good riddance. And then I want to drop down before I close here, number 28. Jeff Bezos, Amazon owner who also owns The Washington Post, overhauled The Washington Post opinion section. And he said, it's now going to focus on personal
Starting point is 01:04:02 liberties and free markets, meaning it's no longer going to be a leftist newspaper editorial. Yes. Doc, everybody's getting the memo. The country has made a major shift to the right, and they know it's going to be like this for probably 15 to 20 years. Yes. And they're swinging into position
Starting point is 01:04:26 because he wants to keep making money. And he's not interested in funding a newspaper that is battling Donald Trump. Now, Jeff Bezos did post a lengthy post on X explaining what's happening here in this situation. This was to his Washington Post team where he explains all this He also explains later on that the current op-ed editor of the Washington Post David Shipley That Bezos said to him. Can you handle this?
Starting point is 01:04:56 If you can't go full throttle into this then you gotta go you gotta go. Well, guess what happened? They win your Post that Jeff Bezos has decided to let David Shipley go, it says part ways, but he was fired. It's not part ways. If I recall, Mr. Shipley was a speechwriter for Barack Obama. Oh, really? I knew the name sounded familiar. So so anyhow a big shakeup at the Washington Post You've seen the shakeup at MSNBC. It's happening throughout the whole media And you know why it's changing at the Washington Post because Jeff Bezos likes money. Yes
Starting point is 01:05:38 Right, and he doesn't want blame him for and he doesn't want to keep losing money at the Washington Post. Which has been losing money. And MSNBC is losing money. And Comcast is trying to unload it. That's why they're unloading the most far leftist people that's on the network. But it's too late. Nobody's going to buy a radical left network in a radical right age. Right. It's got it backwards right now. It's all about timing and cycles.
Starting point is 01:06:10 Politics goes in 15 to 20 year cycles, according to Dr. Arthur Schlesinger Jr., a historian. And he documented that American politics had a 15 to 20 year cycle. If you go back through elections, just look at it. Just go back and look when the Democrats were in power, when the Republicans were in power. Basically a 15 to 20 year cycle. Mr. Trump's first term was an anomaly. It interrupted the democratic cycle. That's why they were convinced that they would win. they were supposed they were due one more term and he interrupted it Last one I want to show you ABC News egg prices
Starting point is 01:06:53 Predicted to soar more than 41 percent this year. I got a small clip from ABC News. I want you to hear and let's watch Now we have the latest on egg prices. If you think they're high now, better brace yourself. The prices expected to climb much higher than forecast. Ariel Reschoff is here with What to Expect. Good morning, Ariel. Good morning to you, Robin. We are watching this closely. As bird flu persists, USDA is warning that we could see the price of eggs soar more than 41% this year. That is double the projection from just last month. Officials are trying to contain the virus by killing off infected flocks, but that is deepening the egg shortage. And there are also some reports of shoppers actually hoarding eggs,
Starting point is 01:07:33 which can impact the supply. The average cost for a dozen eggs right now is hovering around $5. That's 96% higher than last year. Though McDonald's is now vowing to avoid charging extra for its menu items that contain eggs, Denny's is the latest major food chain after Waffle House to add a surcharge for eggs at some of its 1,300 locations. And small businesses and bakeries we've talked to tell us that it's only a matter of time before they are forced to raise their prices as well.
Starting point is 01:08:02 The head of the USDA visited a farm yesterday and the Trump administration is expected to unveil its plan in the coming weeks to try to contain bird flu and curb these rising costs. Robin? And Ariel, some people are asking, are eggs, are they safe to eat? Yeah, a lot of people want to know this. So in short, the answer is yes, according to officials.
Starting point is 01:08:21 You're unlikely to be served an infected egg because the affected flocks are being handled pretty quickly, but experts say it's best to eat your eggs fully cooked to 165 degrees for now just as a precaution. And a reminder, the CDC says that there have been no reported cases of person-to-person spread of the bird flu and the risk to the public does still remain low. Doc, did you ever imagine Denny's Waffle House telling a customer, there's going to be an egg tax on your bill? That's right. I got to pay an egg tax.
Starting point is 01:08:54 You got to pay an egg tax. An egg's on my grand slam. Right. But, hey, I do have a good idea for you. What's better? I mean, we see how expensive eggs are becoming right? What's the best kind of egg to have a golden egg? You might want to get a golden egg, okay, that's the best egg to have right now. There's a company called
Starting point is 01:09:19 Goko eight four four nine six zero gold eight four four nine six zero gold 844-960-GOLD. 844-960-GOLD. Gold is an extremely wise investment right now. We are in a cycle of inflation. As my personal view, just from my own life, I am seeing that we are repeating and stagflation cycle that kicked in around 1975 and lasted till 1990.
Starting point is 01:09:52 How many years is that, Doc? That's what, 15 years, isn't it? Right. OK? I remember every one of them, because I was a young husband father. I remember it. It was not the right
Starting point is 01:10:05 time to start a family. First child was born in 76, second child in 79. Tough time to be a young parent in your 20s. The economy was bad. Mortgages were up in the 20% range. It was not a good time. Inflation just kept getting higher and higher. We got through it. I learned to become a giver. And that's the principle. I became a giver. I wish I'd become somebody who had bought gold. I learned the giving part. I didn't learn the gold part. I wish I had the two together. But Gold Co. can help you. Begin a long-term investment plan to buy gold, silver, precious metals. If you have a retirement
Starting point is 01:11:00 fund, consider rolling it over into precious metals. As we reported yesterday, or maybe Monday, gold went up what 25% in 2024. Where could you get a return on your money 25% in one year? It doesn't happen all the time, but it does in these cycles. Gold is a good investment in times of high inflation. Give GoldCo a call. Just ask the questions. How to get started. Find out if you qualify for an instant match on silver.
Starting point is 01:11:33 They will give you a certain amount of money. I think it's $10,000 instant silver if you qualify. I forget what the exact number is. But they have an instant match for those who qualify on a large purchase of silver. Get in touch with them, 844-960-GOLD. I said I learned to give through that season of inflation. That's when I became a giver. The Holy Spirit taught me very early in my life to give. That was really our only option, wasn't it? I didn't have another option. All right? There
Starting point is 01:12:10 weren't a lot of good jobs. A lot of companies were shutting down. You know how many companies? I want to tell you right now, you'll see businesses closing up. Today, Cole's retail store announced the closing of a bunch of stores. Yesterday, Joanne Fabrics closed 800, all, all 800 stores. Joanne Fabrics. Yes. My grandmother shopped at Joanne Fabrics. Been around a long time, hasn't it? Yes.
Starting point is 01:12:39 Don't be alarmed as you see this stuff. Don't let fear come into you. I will tell you from experience, I saw the same thing happen. Do you remember two guys? Did you ever shop at two guys? They were around before Walmart. How about Kmart? Where's Kmart?
Starting point is 01:13:01 Where's Kmart? Kmart's gone. Two guys' stores are gone. There's a lot of retailers went out of business. Okay. Montgomery Ward's TGNY. Yes. Sears is gone.
Starting point is 01:13:14 Montgomery Ward's is gone. Woolworth is gone. Yes. Stores, a lot of you don't even know what we're talking about. They disappeared in that stagflation cycle. Right. It did them in. That was it. They couldn't hold on anymore. But the other side of it is there were new businesses that started. Right. They had to adapt to the new environment. Home Depot started. Home Depot is a perfect example. Amazon. They embraced technology and they were able to move forward. That's right. So, you're going to see, over the coming years, a lot of stores, a lot of businesses,
Starting point is 01:13:51 are going to go out of business. Don't be alarmed by it. Unless you work for one of them. You know, then, obviously, you've got something to be concerned about. But if you are a giver, a giver to God's kingdom, the Lord is going to, He's going to have you ahead of the curve. You'll be, you'll be on top of the wave. You won't be under the wave. You're not going to be in the undertow. You're not going to be carried out into a sea of financial trouble. The Lord will keep you
Starting point is 01:14:19 solvent if you are a giver to His kingdom. And that's why I want to encourage you to give to True News. We need new partners this year. And we are—the doors are open. We are accepting new faith partners. This is a year of faith for us. We're growing. We expect good things to happen. We're in the sixth chapter of the book of Romans. And today we're going to study verses 18 through 23. I'll pray and invite the Holy Spirit. Dr. Burkhardt will read the word of God. Father God our dear precious heavenly father. Father thank you for this beautiful day. Thank you for life. Father, we are gathered here to study your Word, to be taught by your Holy Spirit, and so we invite the Holy Spirit to take charge of this morning Man of Bible study
Starting point is 01:18:58 and to teach all of us, teachers and students, let us all learn together at the feet of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in His name, Jesus, we students. Let us all learn together at the feet of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In His name, Jesus, we pray. Amen. Amen. As Rick said, we are continuing our study in Romans chapter 6 today. So if you turn your Bibles, we're going to be looking at verses 18 through 23 this morning. So I'll begin reading. I'm reading from the King James this morning. So I'll begin reading. I'm reading from the King James this morning. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh. For as ye have yielded your members
Starting point is 01:19:36 servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity, even so now yield your members, servants to righteousness unto holiness. For when you were servants of sin, you were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things where you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now, being made free from sin and become servants to God, you have your fruit unto holiness and the end everlasting life. Verse 23, everyone should know this verse, for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life,
Starting point is 01:20:18 the Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Praise God. Verse 18, being then made free from sin, he became the servants of righteousness. So believers in Christ experience a total release from sin's power and guilt and control. How?
Starting point is 01:20:43 Through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross. It's not a partial, limited, temporary freedom. It is a complete release from the power of sin. Jesus gave us absolute deliverance. Amen. It's up to us to walk in that victory. So this freedom removes both sins, legal guilt and it's tyranny over us. We don't have to live as slaves to sin anymore. Amen.
Starting point is 01:21:33 Whatever, if there is a sin that's still troubling you, Christ has provided you the means now to have victory over it. you the means now to have victory over it. You don't have to go limping through life saying I just can't be set free of this sin. That's not accurate. So what is It is a new life aligned with God's purposes. It's an emancipation from the bondage of sin and a transformation to living a life whose purpose of your life is to glorify and serve God. So this freedom is not, you know, a lot of people today think freedom is freedom from rules, freedom from responsibility, you know. You have people today who say, I've got freedom. I can do what I want to do. Yeah, that's, that's libertarianism.
Starting point is 01:22:50 That's right. And it's borderline anarchy. Right. You know, I tell American citizens this country was given the greatest level and amount of freedom that any nation has ever received in the history of mankind. We say it's God-given freedom. That's right, it was. But why did He give us this freedom? So that we could have cross dressers someday? No, he gave us this freedom so that we could worship him without the fear of persecution.
Starting point is 01:23:34 Right. That's the purpose of American freedom. And if we abuse that freedom, he will allow it to be taken away. And if we abuse that freedom, he will allow it to be taken away. I want to get back to this lesson. There's a paradox in that true freedom in Christ is found in becoming a servant to Christ. That's right. To become everything in the kingdom is upside down, is inside out, as you know, whatever your right side, it's the opposite of the world. To be free in the kingdom is to voluntarily make yourself a slave of Christ. It's the ultimate freedom. The ultimate freedom is slavery to Christ.
Starting point is 01:24:27 The human minds of that doesn't make sense at all. Well, neither does the first shall be last and the last shall be first. The greatest shall be the least. The least shall be the greatest. None of that makes sense. But that's the way the kingdom works. Amen. Your mind has to be transformed by the Word of God to understand the kingdom. So we gain our greatest freedom when we willingly submit to God's authority.
Starting point is 01:25:11 And what I have seen in my lifetime as a Christian since 1978 is that this call to completely surrender to Christ is the greatest stumbling block believers face. is the greatest stumbling block believers face. That there are just too many people in the church who just can't surrender their life. Right. They want the benefits of the kingdom, but they do not want to surrender control of their life. surrender control of their life. I don't want to venture to estimate how many Christians, professing Christians have not surrendered their life, but I think it's the majority.
Starting point is 01:26:01 They've not surrendered their life. They have confessed belief in Jesus, they've been baptized, they go to church, they tithe, they give, they do all that stuff, but they haven't surrendered their life to Christ. They won't do everything He tells them to do. They won't go every place he tells them to go. They won't put a bridle on their mouth. They won't align their plans with his plans. Yes. So, as between the Lord and them, this submission is voluntary.
Starting point is 01:26:49 It's never coerced. God doesn't want servants who have been compelled to serve Him. What good is it? What does it mean? He's looking for a transformed heart. He is desiring sons and daughters who say, it is a pleasure, it is an honor to submit to you, to serve you, to give my life to you. That's what he desires. And the world opens up to you when you do it.
Starting point is 01:27:26 And the world opens up to you when you do it. So righteousness becomes our new master instead of sin. And now it redirects our priorities and our actions. It becomes the new master of our thoughts. Servants of righteousness. Yes. The believers deliverance from sin and this new servitude to righteousness is entirely due to God's grace. We can't even make ourselves servants to God without His grace. Amen. Because that's against all human nature.
Starting point is 01:28:22 He gives us the grace to submit. So God is sovereign in this transformation. It's His initiative, His power that enables the changes to be made in our life. Amen. And the amount of grace, the amount of power that's coming from heaven in your life is totally Relational proportional to the amount of submission The more you submit the more grace you get. Amen. And that grace allows us, it sustains us in this new life. It empowers us to serve God effectively with joy. We're not doing it grudgingly. We're not going through life saying, I'm a slave.
Starting point is 01:29:28 Slave to God. I can't have any fun. I can't do anything. I can't. No, that's not. He came to bring life and to bring it more abundantly. You get abundant life when you become a slave. That doesn't make sense, Doc. How is it that giving up your life results in getting abundant life? That's the economy of the kingdom. Sure is. But this shift is a radical transformation. There's a new identity in Christ that alters our nature.
Starting point is 01:30:18 It's an internal transformation. And this new identity marks us it marks believers as children of God No longer slaves to sin but children who have voluntarily Submitted themselves as to Almighty God and said have control of my life themselves as to Almighty God and said, have control of my life. Why do I want God to have control of my life? Because I made a mess of it myself. That's right. So really, you, you, I mean, those of you who say I'm not going to get I'm not going to give total control of my life to God. Really, how have you done on your own? That's a great question. control of my life to God. Really, how have you done on your own? That's a great question. How's that working out?
Starting point is 01:31:10 Yes, for me it was a mess. But let me tell you, sin is a tyrannical destructive master. Sin is a tyrannical destructive master. It will give you pleasure just long enough to get you addicted and then take you down. And not grieve about it. Satan is a cruel, he's a child abuser. He abuses his children. He's a mean daddy. He abuses the children who serve him. In the end, he destroys them. So I think what we see here, Romans 6, 18, is marking the beginning of sanctification.
Starting point is 01:32:27 The submission to God's authority, a lifelong journey of growing in holiness and aligning your will with God's will. Yes. It's gradual, doesn't take place immediately. It's gradual. Because doesn't take place immediately. It's gradual. Because God will continuously show you, oh, I'll show you some more of your life you haven't given up. He wants it all.
Starting point is 01:32:57 And we'll try to hold on to some. Serving righteousness will manifest itself in holiness. There will be visible acts of integrity and obedience that reflects God's character. There will be holiness in action. People will see changes in your lifestyle, your behavior, your talking, the way you respond to situations. Serving righteousness requires a life of moral integrity. It's seen in the daily choices and the actions that we take. It involves aligning your thoughts, your actions, your words with God's priorities, His will.
Starting point is 01:34:12 I want to go down to verse 19. Paul said, I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh. For as ye have yielded your member servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity, even so now yield your member servants to righteousness unto holiness." Okay, what does that sound like in modern English? Sounds like this. I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For as you presented your members as servants to uncleanness and to wickedness upon wickedness, even so now present your members as servants to righteousness for sanctification.
Starting point is 01:35:24 So, Paul's use of simple terms, human terms, he's conveying profound spiritual truths to an audience that had limited comprehension. He's speaking in, you know, he's speaking about presenting the infirmity, the weakness of your flesh. You've yielded your mind, your body, your physical body, you've yielded to uncleanness. So now yield to righteousness. He's saying that this is an intentional accommodation. The weakness, talking about the weakness, that people were intentionally accommodating in maturity. And so now make the decision. You've already done the wrong thing. Now do the right thing.
Starting point is 01:36:30 He speaks of the infirmity. He's talking about human frailty. Not just physical, your body, but moral, intellectual, that it hinders a deep understanding of God's kingdom. It hinders your willingness to submit and obey. It's spiritual immaturity. I guess at the heart of it is humans have a natural inability to grasp profound concepts about the kingdom and God without help from God in the kingdom to understand him. Right. Right Iniquity unto iniquity wickedness upon wickedness
Starting point is 01:37:41 I think he I think he's talking about the progressive nature of sin, sin's compounding, degenerative effect that it deepens its corruption over time. Wickedness upon wickedness, just getting worse and deeper as the years go by. That habitual sin intensifies and it drives the person into a downward spiral. Have you watched anyone in your family, your friendships at work that just went downhill? You just watched them over time just like what happened the same wrong decisions over and over and over again. Yes, I think we can all think of people like that and you can't
Starting point is 01:38:39 you can't talk to them you can't reason with them. They're determined. It's like they've pushed a self-destruct button. And they keep pushing it. It's sad. It's sad. But God sees it every day. He sees it by the tens of millions of his children self-destructing. I don't know how he handles it, Doc. I don't know. I can't comprehend how he handles seeing men and women, teenagers, people that he made, and he's watching them self-destruct. people that he made and he's watching them self-destruct. It must, it's hard for me to comprehend the pain it must cause him because most people would, are doing it. Most people are on that path.
Starting point is 01:39:43 Yes. So Paul's urging us to redirect that same energy that we used to devote to sin. He's saying, turn that zeal and that energy to righteousness. Make intentional, deliberate, active choices to submit to God. Right. And just as there is a cumulative effect of the decision that results in sin, likewise the same thing happens with righteousness as well. When we make the choice to righteousness, to obey God, remember faith is counted to us as righteousness, so faith is obeying God what he said, then it's counted to us toward sanctification. So our decision to be holy and to obey God in righteousness results in us becoming holy,
Starting point is 01:40:42 becoming sanctified. Just as sin, the decision to sin, leads us to more sin, ultimately, to eternal life in hell. So it's two sides of the same coin. Now, Paul says, I'm explaining this to you in human terms so you understand it. I'm trying to make it as simple as possible for you here for you to understand That sin leads to sin righteousness leads to holiness Mm-hmm
Starting point is 01:41:14 And and Paul saying you remember how you how enthusiastically you serve sin Now do the same thing for righteousness. That's right. And what is righteousness? Well, Romans told us earlier that the faith is counted to us for righteousness. It's not us being right, it's us saying, I'm going to obey God because he said it. That's faith. Faith says, I obey God because He said it. And then it's counted to us for righteousness. Yes. So righteousness means that you are in right standing with God. Nothing crossways. You're in right standing. But how do you get there? By faith. Faith in what? Faith in His Word. Faith in what Jesus did at the cross.
Starting point is 01:42:10 That accounts to righteousness. You are then counted as righteous because of your faith in God. Not because of anything that you did. And that's just the beginning, because we take that step of faith in righteousness, then we take another step of faith to righteousness, another step of faith into righteousness again, and again, and again. And that counts to us for sanctification, holiness. Just as sin has its impact on us and drives us into further sin. Righteousness brings us into a more intimate relationship with God. God who is holy requires those who follow him also to be holy, sanctified. And so, but that begins with obeying by faith in what God said in his word.
Starting point is 01:43:04 in what God said in his word. Yes. So serving- This is great. So serving righteousness to sanctification, which you're on the road to holiness. The believer's ongoing growth comes into alignment with God's character. This is the ultimate objective.
Starting point is 01:43:31 Where righteousness becomes the means to a holy life. Something I've noticed, you know, I mentioned yesterday about people who profess to be Christians and yet either their mouth or their lifestyle or their attitudes don't line up with kingdom thinking and talking and behavior. And yet you can't talk to them about it. They get upset. How dare you? How dare you question me? I know God,
Starting point is 01:44:06 don't you dare tell me I'm wrong, you know. You get that attitude about it. But what, so I was thinking about it, what is the, what's the, what's the number one common denominator with people like that, they don't study the Word of God. They're wordless Christians. If there is such a thing. How can there be? Well, that's what I'm saying, Doc. How can you be a wordless Christian, yet you have people who profess to be Christians who don't study the word. They don't read the word, they don't study the word, they don't listen to the word, they don't have a hunger for the word.
Starting point is 01:44:55 How can you know God's character and his will if you don't know his word. And when you talk to them about things, they'll say, well, that's your opinion. Well, no, I'm basing this on the word. Well, that's your opinion. I don't believe that. Yeah, I don't I don't believe I don't believe like you do. Yeah, but I'm basing it on the word of God. What are you basing it on? It's usually their feelings. Yes. They belong to a religion of feelings, of emotions. I'll tell you how I feel about God.
Starting point is 01:45:38 I'll tell you how I feel about what's right. No, your emotions, your feelings don't matter. Your emotions and your feelings have to come in alignment with the Word. The Word is true. Doesn't matter what you feel like. It doesn't matter about your emotions. You order your emotions and your feelings to submit to the Word of God. And if you don't know the Word, how can you submit to the Word?
Starting point is 01:46:10 Thank God for this Bible class. People to come five days a week for an hour to hear the Word. Praise God. You're making a choice by faith each day to be here, that is counted to you for righteousness. You can't sanctify yourself. Only God can sanctify you, but God expects you to hear His word and obey in righteousness. It's God that does the sanctification,
Starting point is 01:46:40 but it's you that obeys the word by faith and it's counted to obeys the word by faith. And it's counted to you for righteousness. It's a beautiful thing. And I will tell you this. Some of you are are probably right now already encountering this in your life. There are people close to you, whom you love and you care about, but because they're not studying the Word, there's now a spiritual gap between you and them. And the reason is, you're moving, you're progressing, you're moving towards righteousness and holiness and submitting to God's will.
Starting point is 01:47:27 And there's a gap between you and some others in your life. And that can cause friction. I don't know how to deal with it. I'll be honest with you. I don't have a solution for it other than to constantly pray for those People in your life that aren't spiritually moving You know, they're stagnant. They're Spiritually dull and then they're not progressing by studying the Word Yes Look, there's nothing wrong with listening to online messages by various pastors and people, podcasters and everything, but if the word isn't in it, then you're not being fed.
Starting point is 01:48:26 Right. Just that simple. If there's no word in it, you're not being fed. You're given, you're being given opinions and ideas, maybe positive thoughts that pump you up for a few minutes, but it's not the word. thoughts that pump you up for a few minutes, but it's not the word. I'll give you an example here. I was listening to a minister doing a podcast yesterday on the way home. And you know, I like to listen to various different things while I'm driving. And about 15, 20 minutes in, and there, he said some pretty positive things.
Starting point is 01:49:04 So this is a preacher, you, a minister of the gospel. And it occurred to me in that 15-20 minutes that he spoke, he had not said anything directly from the Word of God, had not quoted Scripture, had not done anything along that line to convey his points. And it just dawned on me that the word was not on his lips. Right. You know, when you and I are talking here, we'll quote a scripture,
Starting point is 01:49:35 we'll refer back to something else in the scripture, we'll, you know, just even in casual conversation. But I listened to him for 15, 20 minutes and it just dawned on me, not one time did he ever mention a passage or even a principle from the Word of God. It was all man's opinion. And so I had to mark that one off on the list that I didn't want to go back to that one again. So you have to have discernment in these things and you have to weigh these things out.
Starting point is 01:50:11 Because it's the word that does the change. It's the word that does the transformation in our lives. It's not positive thinking as good as that is. It's not feel-good theology. It's not, you know, feel-good theology. It's not any of those things. It's the Word that changes us. The Word alone is what changes us. And you can't experience true change in God unless you have the Word of God. And you can't have the Word of God unless you read and listen and hear the Word of God in your life.
Starting point is 01:50:47 Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. How shall they hear without a preacher? You need a preacher in your life to speak the word of God into you. And that's another thing people reject too. They don't like having someone in their life speaking into their life. There's a lot of Lone Rangers today in Christianity, but even the Lone Ranger wasn't alone, he had Tonto. There's a lot of people that say, well, I don't need that. You need it. You absolutely need it. Why? Because you'll go off on a tangent on your own if you're left to your own devices. You'll discern the word in the wrong way at some point along the way. You need biblical scriptural authority in your life. Doc, while you were talking, a memory flashed in my mind. I'd forgotten, but this happened decades ago.
Starting point is 01:51:48 And when you get my age, everything's decades ago. It's nothing as yesterday, everything decades ago. Yeah. It was a church that Susan and I were attending. It was a good church. And we thought the pastor was fantastic. He was a great preacher. You know, I never heard him preach anything wrong.
Starting point is 01:52:17 But a friend came from another state, he and his wife came for a visit and we took him to church. And when it was over, I said, Hey, how'd you like the sermon? And you know what he said to me? He goes, Rick, he never once quoted scripture. And he said he never once had the congregation open their Bibles. And I stopped it. I said, well, was it a good sermon? He goes, yes, but it had it didn't have any scripture in it. was it a good sermon? He goes, yes, but it had, it didn't have any scripture in it. And I, I, I'd forgotten about that until you were talking about listening to the podcast and it made me think, wait a minute, I am going to a church. He doesn't, he has great sermons. There's nothing wrong with the sermons, but the word is not in the sermons.
Starting point is 01:53:09 He's teaching principles about the word, but he's not quoting the word. So that's something, look, everything is the word, the word, the word the word just become obsessed with the Word of God We have so much technology communication technology in our society today that no one is Nobody can say I can't have I can't get access to the Word of God I can't get access to the word of God. There's so much online, there's audio Bibles, there's just so much. Yes.
Starting point is 01:53:52 You can get access to the word of God. Verse 20. Okay. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. Do you want to be free from righteousness? So being servants of sin entails complete allegiance and submission to sin, leaving no capacity, no room for righteousness. It's total subjugation.
Starting point is 01:54:39 Satan doesn't share. He doesn't share his people. So this is Paul speaking of an exclusive servitude where sin dominates the entire person, physically, mentally, emotionally, in all aspects. The person is a servant of sin. You and I were all there. That was our state before Christ liberated us. He liberates us from slavery to Satan Satan and then invites us to become a slave to him. And it's making that decision is the smartest thing you'll ever do. Doc, can a person be saved and have eternal life without completely submitting to God.
Starting point is 01:55:47 I don't see how it's possible, Rick. I mean, Jesus said himself, those who commit sin are the servants of sin. Well, I'm not talking about serving sin. I'm talking about complete total surrender of their life. Maybe they live a good life. They're not overtly sinning. They go to church, they pay tithes, they do, they volunteer down at the food bank. They do good things, but they have not surrendered their life.
Starting point is 01:56:21 In other words, if God told them to move to another state, they're not going to do it. Then they're in disobedience, right? They would say, but if I never surrendered, how can I be disobedient? Is that going to work on the final day? That's what I'm asking. When we stand before the Lord, is that going to be the excuse that we're going to put out? I did good things, Lord.
Starting point is 01:56:53 I volunteered at the food bank. I showed up for church every week. That counts, right? That counts as righteousness. No, it's your faith that counts as righteousness. And faith requires submission. What do I mean by that? Faith requires you to submit to the Word. It requires you to submit to the Word. It's not an option. It's not, well, I think I'll submit today, but not tomorrow. No, it requires constant submission, just like a slave submits to a master.
Starting point is 01:57:29 So Paul talks about when you were servants of sin, you were free from righteousness. What does it mean, free from righteousness? Not without righteousness, but you were free from righteousness. It's the absence of moral obligation and influence. Yes. You were free from righteousness. It had no influence on you at all. You were totally devoted to sin. You didn't have to worry about righteousness. Righteousness wasn't something you had to be concerned about.
Starting point is 01:58:12 The only thing that was on your mind was your sin. You know, I never really go into, you know, my lifestyle before I was saved. Some people make a big deal about their testimony and they spend a lot of time talking about what they did. I really don't want to hear it. And I really don't want to spend time telling people how I was a sinner. Right. All right.
Starting point is 01:58:47 You know why? Because it reminds me I was on my way to hell. And that frightens me. It frightens me. Yeah, one time I had a super religious churchy person say to me, well, before I was a Christian, I found no pleasure in sin. I said, well, you weren't doing it right. That's what I said to him.
Starting point is 01:59:14 I said, you weren't doing it right. Because I liked it. You should have called me. I would have taught you how to do it. Okay. I was a professional sinner. I like to say I was a notorious cookie thief and I really liked cookies. That's right. That's right.
Starting point is 01:59:32 But I would see I didn't know I was a sin. I mean, I was a slave to sin. I didn't know it. Right. But now I look back and I realize, yes, I was. I was totally enslaved to sin. Yes. I want to be enslaved to Christ. Amen.
Starting point is 01:59:57 I shudder thinking, what if God didn't save me? God didn't save me. If I were still alive, I'd be on my way to the grave and eternity in hell. And that just sends chills down my spine. To think I could have lived my entire life in sin and died and ended up in hell and never would have known why I was there. I mean, what do you say?
Starting point is 02:00:36 Bummer. Oh, great. Look where I'm at. But the Holy Spirit made me aware of my sinful state. He did it. I didn't do it. It just hit me one day and I started going to a church. And one day it just hit me. I was just overcome with this awareness that I was a sinner and that I was separated from God and I deserved to go to hell. I didn't bring that on myself.
Starting point is 02:01:17 Amen. That was the Holy Spirit. And I had a choice at that moment. I had a choice at that moment, either to run away from the conviction or to submit to it. And the rest of your life, you're making these choices. God's constantly saying, will you submit some more? Submit some more? Submit some more? Yes. Will you say yes? Yes. I've got something else. Can we go deeper in this relationship?
Starting point is 02:01:46 The Lord said, I'm in love with you. I want to go deeper in this relationship with you. Will you say yes? And every yes comes with a price to pay in the world. The world does not like people who submit to Christ. They'll tolerate religious people. They'll tolerate Christians, all right? But they don't tolerate disciples.
Starting point is 02:02:22 That's where they draw the line. Oh, you mean you're actually serious about this? You're actually serious? Yes, serious. All right, I'm going to give you an example that you'll hear today on true news. So President Trump released a video of what he plans to do with Gaza. Okay, so, it shows you, it's an AI video, but at the end of the video, there is a giant golden statue of Donald Trump in Gaza, and in the Trump Hotel in Gaza, there are golden
Starting point is 02:03:03 idols of Donald Trump on the shelf in the store for sale. What are you going to do with that, my friends? What are the American Christians going to do with that video? Is anybody going to rebuke him? Nope. That's idolatry. No one's going to rebuke him. Paul White's certainly not going to rebuke him. It's idolatry. No one's going to rebuke him. Paula White's certainly not going to rebuke him.
Starting point is 02:03:26 It's idolatry. Are we going to end up a year or two from now the churches are going to have a golden image of Donald Trump in their in their sanctuary in the foyer? Are they going to be selling golden statues little Six inch tall golden statues of Donald Trump, is that where we're going? See, church people will go along with it, religious people will go along with it,
Starting point is 02:03:59 disciples will not go along with it. Disciples will say, that is idolatry and I rebuke you for it. Well, we're going to find out. Now, the folks in the deceived evangelical churches out there, now they'll go along with it. They'll start selling them in the gift shop. That's what I'm expecting, Doc. You've probably seen them on Christian TV. Donald Trump had his own Bible.
Starting point is 02:04:41 And so let's just go on to the next step there. All right, I've got three more verses in five minutes. So verse 21, what fruit had you then in those things whereof you are now ashamed for the end of those things is death. What fruit then did you have at the time in the things which you are now ashamed of?
Starting point is 02:05:08 For the end of those things is death. What did you get out of it? Paul is his call to reflect on your sinful life, your prior life, and its lack of meaningful results. So what did you get out of it? What good was it? What did it produce that you wanna keep, that you wanna hold on to? He's asking a rhetorical question What did it produce that you want to keep, that you want to hold on to?
Starting point is 02:05:45 He's asking a rhetorical question to provoke introspection and to speak of the emptiness of sin. Things whereof ye are now ashamed? Did you used to do things that you're ashamed to talk about now? That's what he's talking about. If you're ashamed to talk about it now, that's a good sign. Yes. That's a really good sign.
Starting point is 02:06:23 That means you won't do it again. You don't want that shame. But back when you used to do it, it didn't cause shame. You bragged about it. Told your friends about it. Sin produces no valuable fruit. It only produces shame, regret, destruction, and eventually death. I don't care how much money you have.
Starting point is 02:06:58 I don't care. The fame, look at all the famous people that had all the sin that they could get with their money and how did they end up at the end of life? many of them busted, financially busted. You know, one of the most heartbreaking stories for me, I just discovered it in the past year, is I love the music of the 40s and the 50s and the early 60s. I love the Sinatra's and the Bing Crosby's. I love that sound.
Starting point is 02:07:51 But I discovered a Sammy Davis Jr. I knew that he converted to Judaism. Yes. But he didn't stay in Judaism, Doc. That's right. He converted to Satanism. He was a practitioner. Not only was he a, did he join the church of Satan,
Starting point is 02:08:15 he became a priest and he was personally mentored in satanic rituals by Anton Lavey. The one and only, yes that's correct. Sammy Davis Jr. Now when I see a video I hear his voice, now I feel so sorry for him. But see he left the church and he went to Judaism and from Judaism he went to Satanism. And he died with throat cancer. The very gift that he had from God, singing. It was taken from him. He died with cancer of the throat, but a practitioner of Satanism. What did you, Paul would say What good came out of it? Sin has a barren womb.
Starting point is 02:09:31 It produces nothing but death. But righteousness produces life. You can have emptiness or abundance. And it's a choice. Sin's ultimate consequence is spiritual and eternal death. That's the ultimate end of sin. At the end of the road, it says, you won eternal death. Is that really what is it worth it? These people that have all this money and fame and power and everything, and they're just lavishing
Starting point is 02:10:25 themselves with sin. Is it worth it? At the end of the road it says, you won, you get eternal death. Yes. There are eternal consequences to our actions. Every day, the way we live, the way we talk, the way we think, there are eternal consequences. And so, God gives us grace to reject the temptation to sin. He's not going to let us get away from Him. He's not going to let Satan take you out of the hand of Christ. Satan will try, but God will give you the grace to resist.
Starting point is 02:11:30 Look, even our recognition of sin's shame and its uselessness is entirely because of grace. It's God's grace in us that gives us the ability to see that sin will lead to death. If there's any message here in Romans, it's grace. We're lost sinners, but we're saved by grace. And God gives us grace throughout our entire lives to stay saved. Verse 22, but now being made free from sin and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness and the end everlasting life. So the believers complete freedom from sin, from sin's power is once again,
Starting point is 02:12:35 through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross. We're given a new identity. Praise God. But this new identity, to accept it, to walk in it, comes from voluntary joyful allegiance to God. We consciously say, I renounce the works of the devil. I pledge my life to God. That's a conscious decision. Many people go through life as Christians and they're still struggling with, they've got a couple sins they want to hold on to. Tell me which sin ends up making you a winner. Yes. Which one? Yeah. Pick it out. Tell us which sin it is. Right.
Starting point is 02:13:44 Yeah, pick it out. Tell it tell us which sin it is, right? And yet a lot of so-called Christians have their pet sins Their sins that there are you know, they're okay with that's right Paul said ye but now that you're made free from sin you become a servant to God, you have your fruit unto holiness. The fruit is, it's tangible outcomes of sanctification. A life of moral purity, of righteousness, spiritual growth, generosity, all the good attributes. That's the fruit. spiritual growth, generosity, all the good attributes. That's the fruit.
Starting point is 02:14:36 And these tangible changes that come in your life are the evidence of this holiness that God has now placed in you because of your commitment to Him. We've said a number of times, sanctification is not a one-time event, it's an ongoing, lifelong process and it requires continual transformation by the Holy Spirit. It's a process of becoming more like Christ over time, not by you saying, I am becoming like Christ, but by Christ taking more possession of you. We are incapable of becoming like Christ. What we are capable of is submitting to Christ. of becoming like Christ. What we are capable of is submitting to Christ. Dying to self and submitting to Christ. Once you get this down it's like this is so easy now. Trying to become like Christ is hard. I tried it. It doesn't work. It just
Starting point is 02:15:41 doesn't work. It's so much easier just say, you know what? I'll never be like Jesus. I'll just die to myself and let Jesus take over. And that's really the process he wants you to be in. Daily submitting a little bit more and a little bit more and a little bit more. He wants all of you. It's not, none of us get there with one decision. It's a process. The end, the result of serving God is eternal life, which is a gift of grace. What is, what is Satan's gift to you? Eternal death. And it's not even a gift, you have to work for it.
Starting point is 02:16:34 Yes. The wages of sin, the wages of sin is death. The wages of sin is death. You work for it, they give you a paycheck. You work for it. They give you a paycheck. One more and we'll wrap it up here. Verse, oh no, we got two more. Wow. I'll tell you what, let's pick it up tomorrow at verse 22. Okay? Okay. Praise God.
