Starting point is 00:02:20 along here. And this time, bringing along an author named Paul Blake Smith. I am so excited for you to hear this because we got, and I was excited to do it when we started, because we got to talk about which you're going to hear me say, two of my most favorite stories and all of Uphology covering the supposed Jackie Gleason alien viewing
Starting point is 00:02:44 where Richard Nixon took Jackie Gleason. Yes, the old actor from the 50s and 60s and I think part of the 70s. And it's huge down here in South Florida. It has the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami. I've been down that way before. Had his place down here, played golf down here, lived down here. So that Jackie Gleason. And Miami plays a big part in this because,
Starting point is 00:03:03 If you're not familiar with the story, we are going to talk about how supposedly Richard Nixon showed Jack Eglieson alien bodies at the Homestead Air Force Base in 1973. On February 19th, 1973, in fact, so pay attention to that date. And we're also going to talk about one of my other favorite stories when it comes to the Eisenhower meeting with the Grays
Starting point is 00:03:26 and the meetings that he had with supposed extraterrestrials, even outside of the Grays. Those two stories have always, always stuck with me over the years. There are two of the most early episodes of UAP. I actually come to think of it. I did those early on when I started UAP back almost five years ago. And I'm glad I get to come back around to them again.
Starting point is 00:03:46 I've referenced them before in other episodes. And I was glad to be able to do kind of a deep dive even more. So originally that I did on those original episodes back five years ago. Because Paul Blake Smith literally wrote the books on those two cases. And he got all the details and all the fine details. details that, quite frankly, I have never heard of before until I spoke to him. So even if you are slightly familiar or moderately familiar with those two stories, very famous stories in euphology, I think you're going to find out that you did not know everything about those cases.
Starting point is 00:04:19 And that's what I found out, like not even close. I was just scratching the surface when I talked about those some years ago. So we're going to hear all about those two very famous cases, starting with Eisenhower's meeting with the alien grays and maybe even some other species. What happened there? Who is involved with it? Why did it come out? Where did this story even come from? All that is answered.
Starting point is 00:04:41 And then we get into Nixon and Jackie Gleason after that with, again, details that actually made a lot of sense to pointing to maybe this really did happen. Really fun stuff, really good stuff that I think you're going to enjoy to kind of revisit, look back on and look at it through a new lens. And then stick around for after because I have a. ton of post interview thoughts that I want to get to on these two things to highlight. So first, here it is myself with author and researcher slash investigator, I suppose, Paul Blake Smith on some of my favorite cases of all time right here on UAP.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Enjoy. Paul, I'm really excited for this. Thanks so much for coming on to the show. Well, thanks for having me. It's pleasure to be here. Yes, thanks so much. The reason why I'm excited is because we get to cover two stories that originally got me into the UFO topic. A lot of people ask me, you know, Stephen, how did you get into this?
Starting point is 00:05:32 Like, what really got you into it? And I always give a few examples, one of them being ancient Egypt, another one being Edgar Casey, and another one being these two stories that we're going to cover today, the Eisenhower meeting with the Greys and maybe even the Nordics and also Richard Nixon's jaunt with Jackie Gleason right here in my neck of the woods in South Florida. So you've written the books, you've done the research on both of those stories. And I, I can't wait to get started. First off, if you don't mind, if we can start with the Eisenhower story, if anybody is not familiar with it, maybe just a quick overview before we get into the nuts and bolts. President Eisenhower, one year into office, went on a golf vacation.
Starting point is 00:06:15 He just had to fly 2,700 miles to play golf in Palm Springs, California, out in the desert. And it seems very strange because that wouldn't help him too much politically because Nixon was his vice president and Nixon was California and that was pretty solidly in their corner. So the whole setup for Eisenhower to be there seems pretty shaky, but it seems quite reasonable now when we hear these stories that he snuck away from Palm Springs under the cover of darkness while the press was recording or at least visiting this big. party at a hotel. I think this was deliberately arranged that the media was distracted. Eisenhower was a military strategist. This is what he was known for. Did you know, by the way, he never saw any combat whatsoever. White Eisenhower, the great general, he was valued for his strategy and logistics and putting people together and getting them to work together in World War II, where he was the Allied commander in Europe, where they had a number of Fou-Foufell.
Starting point is 00:07:23 fighter or UFO stories from the airmen who would come back at land and say, we saw these crazy things. That's right. So Eisenhower had experience in this. Now, apparently five alien craft came down at Edwards Air Force Base about an hour away from Palm Springs, where Eisenhower was golfing and visiting with relatives and relaxing, and the media was duly recording this. And according to reports, Eisenhower had camera set up in this hangar at Edwards Air Force Base and recorded it. One was a black and white camera, and the other was color footage. And there's a man who did some investigating from the Vatican many years later, and he said he had a source that swears that the Vatican had copies of this video footage, this film footage.
Starting point is 00:08:19 Wow. And he said that it showed the extraterrestrial craft, and when they started moving around, one of the cameras shorted out, like their technology shorted out the camera, and kind of, that was the abrupt end of that camera. It was either the black and white footage or the color footage, I can't remember which.
Starting point is 00:08:37 So anyway, this shows, again, prearranged, it was all set up in advance, supposedly, from what I read, through binary language and high frequency communication, radio wave communication, that military scientists exchanged data and arranged this meeting with friendly, human-like alien beings. Now, who says this? A U.S. congressman from New Hampshire, actually was a state congressman named Henry W. McElroy. He gave a video deposition of sorts or a confession.
Starting point is 00:09:14 that he said i was allowed to read this document that said eisenhower was offered this meeting and that the military agreed these were friendly aliens and they recommended that he meet with him and you know a congressman has everything to lose by seeming to be you know a space cadet or a little crazy by going forward so this was very brave of henry mackleroy uh to to make this video and say i saw this and i want this on record that uh it was my understanding eisenhower did go to this meeting. It was deemed safe. So according to the tale, five craft came down apparently in the afternoon on Friday, November, or February 19th, 1954, and they had a kind of welcoming committee of ranking Air Force personnel, including the base commander, I think, and they would check it
Starting point is 00:10:06 out first and make sure it's all safe. You don't call the president until you've made sure Eisenhower played golf that day, and he went to visit a friend, according to his digitized presidential records. And I believe it's at that point like six or seven o'clock at night in the darkness in February in the desert, that he took off, he took a small military airplane to maybe Palmdale or very close to Edwards Air Force Base and was driven the rest of the way. and he was surrounded at all times, according to an eyewitness, by six bodyguards who protected him at the lip of an open hangar, a huge Air Force hangar that normally housed these big jets. It was out on the desert runway, and it was good weather, and that the aliens stepped out of their craft again. They had already met with Air Force officials, and were waiting for Eisenhower to show up, and they approached, and they, kept a little distance. Eisenhower did not touch them, did not shake their hand, and was surrounded
Starting point is 00:11:15 at all times just to make sure, and the film cameras were rolling, to record him speaking English and the extraterrestrials were very friendly and very human-like. And they spoke English as well. An Air Force pilot spoke up in the 1980s and really broke this story open and said, I was there in 1954 as a young test pilot. I was brought in for my expertise in aerodynamics. And I saw Eisenhower with these six bodyguards and that the aliens approached and were friendly and spoke in English. That's how the story really started to come out then, because I've always wondered that when you have this story that seems, quite frankly, completely unbelievable. It sounds like something from a movie where you have a president meeting with aliens.
Starting point is 00:12:02 So it comes out because the origin of this is because of this Air Force pilot who says he was there in the 90th. He came out with it in the 80s and he says that he was there at the meeting. Right. He came out in around 1982, I think it was. And he said, I'm telling this story because I've learned that everyone who was there that day, that night actually, has passed on. And I don't want this story to die out. So he told a UFO researcher from England, and the story eventually made its way to the National Inquirer. So I contacted the guy who wrote the story named Derry Matera for the Inquirer, and I said, is this still valid?
Starting point is 00:12:44 Do you think this is a valid story? He says, I stand by everything I reported back at 1982, and the test pilot's claims. And he says, I don't change a thing. So here's another source that said it really did happen, and it wasn't just wacky, that the aliens were very human-like. I call them like cousins of human beings. The test pilots said they had slight differences physically. They were apparently a little shorter.
Starting point is 00:13:12 They may have had a grayish skin tone compared to our skin color. I'm speculating now. I think they may have had a wider nostrils, and maybe a larger chest or diaphragm for breathing their atmosphere on their own home planet. But they were having what you might. might call a family reunion that they came a long way to meet their human cousins and speak to the man in charge. And when you think about it, boy, they're risking a lot, maybe getting attacked
Starting point is 00:13:42 or taking captive or something like this. Why would they risk everything to try to meet with Eisenhower? And the reason is pretty good. They were deeply concerned by Eisenhower's nuclear test program that he was detonating atomic bombs he and Truman before him recklessly in the air, in the ground, in the sea. They were spreading nuclear contamination, and it was polluting our planet and even threatening to spread into outer space. And they begged practically Eisenhower to please stop testing these atomic bombs. It's very bad for your environment and your people.
Starting point is 00:14:27 And Eisenhower reportedly told him, well, I'm not going to disarm unilaterally. I want to see others on our planet also disarm or, you know, stop producing them and maybe testing them. And it was a few years later that President Kennedy produced the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty, which Eisenhower supported. But this seems like a pretty valid reason for aliens to live. land and step out and try to talk to the man in charge. I don't know who else he would talk to. I think it's very possible that Eisenhower's Secretary of the Air Force was there, General Nathan Twining. You may have heard that name from the Cutler Twining report or memo talking about MJ12 and other matters, that Twining died, I think, in early 81 or 82, and that's when this
Starting point is 00:15:19 test pilot finally stepped forward and gave his story. I think. Twining was like the last one alive, and he thought, well, safe to talk now. Yeah. So it would make sense for him to be there being an expert in aerial craft. And so this is interesting because that's why, you know, I've got I always tried to get some more details on stories like this, where it's always been my understanding, Paul, that there were two meetings, right? And so maybe we can speak to this, that there was meetings with the Nordics, which maybe have always been described as human-like. so it sounds like maybe that's what was being described there. And then there was this meeting with the Grays.
Starting point is 00:15:58 And during this meeting, this is the story I always heard, that the Nordics weren't really, I guess, compromising with what we were trying to do. They didn't really like our deal as far as, hey, we want technology and we'll give you XYZ. But the Grays were willing to deal, and that Eisenhower made that deal with the Grays. Is that somewhere in the ballpark of what happened,
Starting point is 00:16:19 along with what you're saying? Or is that kind of like a mythology? Yeah, I think in general that sound at least plausible, possible. It's tough to pin down this treaty, but he did worry tremendously, according to the test pilot, about these friendly aliens showing themselves and just touching off a panic everywhere. This would cause the economy to be damaged. The stock market may be crash. No one wanted a panic, and people in those days remembered the war of the world's broadcast,
Starting point is 00:16:51 the radio show from 1938, I think it was, and that there was the perception that people panicked and ran around on the streets, which was vastly overblown. A few people did call radio stations and police stations and were very nervous, but it's the perception of that, and the government wanted to avoid a panic at all costs.
Starting point is 00:17:12 So Eisenhower asked them, you know, could you stay aloof, don't sit down and start talking to people and make us crazy. And who knows, people might go after them with guns, thinking they're demons or something like this. So he asked them to stay aloof. And in exchange, he supposedly set up a base where in Nevada there was no one around that aliens could land in a safe, friendly, obscure environment. And we would supply them with a little biology and technology. and they would supply us equally.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Now, that is according to a document called, I think, above top secret that was leaked in 2017 to Heather Wade, a radio show host. So she took over for Art Bell. So I asked her, could I use this document in my book? Because it does mention Eisenhower did meet with extraterrestrials in 54, twice, once in February, and once in July. And when I looked up. Eisenhower's digitized records, it was possible that this could have been arranged and that there may have been a third meeting in February of 55. So when you talk about multiple meetings with maybe another race, this is at least possible.
Starting point is 00:18:34 Okay. And if you are going to form a treaty, you have to have your people draw something up. And this would be like the upper echelon of the National Security Council, maybe someone like director of CIA or your defense. secretary and that sort of thing. So, and they would have to work up the exact wording, and it would be a secret treaty. You wouldn't get Congress to ratify it, but you would have to hammer it out so that would require more than, you know, one meeting to say, we'll form a treaty, now we've got a treaty, and we'll sign it in your presence of something like that. Right.
Starting point is 00:19:13 So as I mentioned, that scientists today feel that our galaxy may be filled. with planet Earths like planets that have developed human-like beings just like we did. So it seems more and more plausible that human-like beings who are a little more advanced than us and we have a space program now
Starting point is 00:19:33 and that it's not so implausible that someday we will fly to other planets that another race had mastered this and they came here and spoke to us in English and we're familiar with our customs and our atomic testing program, which means they've been watching us, monitoring us.
Starting point is 00:19:51 And we've heard so many UFO stories and sightings over the years where it seems pretty plausible. Yes, at least one or more visiting races are here looking us over, and they have stayed largely aloof. We can see their craft every now and then. And to this day, you can take out your cell phone and get video footage of these strange-looking things floating about, but they don't seem to land,
Starting point is 00:20:15 especially not on the White House law. Right. So I think maybe the Eisenhower Treaty is still intact. Yeah, I was going to say. So does that mean that we can, because normally we point back to Truman when it kind of, when we start to look at when did this all start as far as the secrecy is concerned behind the UFO topic? And most of the time we point back to Truman as far as, you know, Roswell and the Majestic 12 and how everything started there. But is it safe to say, do you think that even though that might be the genesis of it because we're talking about Roswell?
Starting point is 00:20:45 on 47 that really the main secrecy that we still deal with today goes back 70 years to Eisenhower because of this supposed treaty that was signed? I would think so. And if you listened to David Grush, the whistleblower, who has come forward, he said there's still plenty of regulations. I can only give you a little information. But he did say that it appears as though the Italians recovered a crashed vehicle in the 1930s. That's right, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:15 and that the American ambassador to the Vatican was told this. And this was relayed to Franklin Roosevelt. And Roosevelt was in charge when several years later, one crashed in Cape Girarde, Missouri, my hometown. And Roosevelt quickly had this scooped up and clamped down and told the military informed everyone. You're not to speak of this ever. This is a matter of national security.
Starting point is 00:21:40 And in my research for the Cape Girauda story, FDR clamped down on this with the secrecy policy right from the start, probably because he learned that's what Mussolini did in Italy, that he was ruthless. He would jail anyone who was talking about this or trying to write about it in the 1930s. So I began finding more information on this that the Italian one may be quite real, and it may have been one of the first ever recovered and scrutinized, and Cape Girada was. the first American crash. So then came Roswell under Truman, and then Eisenhower was quite familiar with all of this stuff, having been Truman's Army Chief of Staff and in other positions in Truman's government. And then he was quite well-informed and urged to have a meeting with some friendly ones. And I think that, as I said, that he really did. It's not fantasy. The aliens did cause
Starting point is 00:22:42 him great cause for concern in February of 54 by doing two things, which really kind of blew his mind. Would you like to hear about that? Sure. Let's let's go. Why not? Because, yeah, when we talk about this meeting, it sounds like, I mean, from your research, you believe that this really did take place. It's always kind of been like one of those, you know, big lore stories in euphology. So can we say, leading into this next part here, can we say that like confidently this meeting did take place meetings with Eisenhower. According to the test pilot who was there, the aliens did two things that were extremely impressive, but caused Eisenhower great concern.

Starting point is 00:25:55 Event ends March 31st. Toyota, let's go places. One is the aliens returned to their ships and put on an air show and showed what they can do with their three circular craft. And two elongated craft is what the descriptions were. And that they took off and buzzed around in the sky and probably circled around and then darted very quickly and stopped on a dime and landed silently with no propellers, no wings, no exhaust pipes, everything. You know, your typical seamless UFO or flying saucer. And everyone was super impressed. Of course, this is advanced technology from an advanced race.
Starting point is 00:26:37 And when they stepped out of their craft and re-approached the president and his bodyguards on the film cameras, they did something that blew everyone's mind. They cloaked themselves and went invisible. The test pilot said we knew they were there, but we couldn't see them, which means I assume that the aliens continued to speak or make a little noise. And when they reappeared, I think he said they were in slightly different places on the runway. they made themselves invisible and then visible to the naked eye. So the bodies or the crafts, like their physical selves, they became invisible? The craft are both? I don't know about the craft.
Starting point is 00:27:17 Okay. That could well be, but it was the beings themselves that showed their ability to cloak themselves and cause Eisenhower just terrible worry that he said, we can't have this. Our world is not ready for this. He told them to their face when they reappeared. We can't have this going on here. So you're going to have to kind of stay away. And I think that's when a treaty was formed because the aliens knew they had kind of
Starting point is 00:27:43 lies an hour over a barrel showing him what we can do. And they had no malevolent intent. And he said, you know, we'll work out some sort of deal, but don't pull this on people around here. You know, show up, speak to them, cloak yourself, reappear somewhere else. It would freak people out. And maybe to this day it might. I think we're much more conscious of aliens through TV shows, movies, books,
Starting point is 00:28:10 the new disclosure movie this summer with Stephen Spielberg, Close Encounters, E.T., all that kind of stuff. Even Robin Williams, Mark, from Ork from the TV show, as silly as that may have been. Or my favorite Martian with Ray Walston, it's a part of the national thought now, international. That people are seeing these things, talking about these things, reading about. them and we kind of accept now that yeah we're being visited and the government a few years ago if you saw a 60 minutes program pretty much admitted you know these things are going on and we can't explain them and people didn't react too badly to that and we want to know more yeah and times times have changed right like you said and that's why i believe anyway one of the reasons why the disclosure
Starting point is 00:28:54 movement has picked up so much over the past you know probably seven to eight years um there was one thing to kind of finish off on the Eisenhower a bit before we get to Richard Nixon because that's another one of my favorites that you wrote about. At the end of his presidency and his farewell address, he spoke about famously about the military industrial
Starting point is 00:29:13 complex and how you need to be aware of the military industrial complex. That said, what do you think he knew about that and how it might play in to what he was aware of when it came to extraterrestrials in this advanced technology?
Starting point is 00:29:29 He's deceased now, but one of the sources I research was Brigadier General Steve Lubkin, who said Eisenhower did speak of extraterrestrials in his presence. And Lubkin said that the military industrial complex reference in his farewell speech was a kind of oblique reference to how government can make some decisions. But we're getting the military super powerful intelligence personnel and the industrial complex. and they're working together, and they're kind of taking away power. And we can't have that in this country. And Eisenhower should know, being an old army veteran who was commander-in-chief and a four-star general before that, nobody would know better than him. So that could well be, as this brigadier general said, his way of mentioning that things are getting out of control of the government
Starting point is 00:30:21 and that private interest is taking over and, you know, harnessing this technology. for good or evil or, you know, everyday products or some sort of private agenda. So Eisenhower still could not bring himself to say that we have been visited. There was talk from one source who wrote a letter and said, I learned that Eisenhower was indeed at this Edwards Air Force base during his golf vacation in February of 54, and that they were contemplating a national broadcast to reveal it all in the United States. the middle of May of 54. But he was overruled by, you know, National Security Council and some of his worried generals. And so Eisenhower kept his mouth shut. And I think it's been pretty clamped down
Starting point is 00:31:12 on to this day. And as you mentioned, Richard Nixon was Eisenhower's loyal vice president for eight years. And I believe at some point he was clued in. Nixon was in Washington, D.C. during Eisenhower's golf vacation. I don't think he was made aware of the situation at the time, but he became more trusted as the first years of the term, the first term went by and was eventually entrusted with the extraterrestrial visitation issue. There was one source that says I worked with the CIA, and I was present at a briefing for Eisenhower and Nixon and someone from the FBI and a couple other military personnel, and he said, Nixon's face was like, like, shocked.
Starting point is 00:32:01 That this was maybe his first briefing that we are being visited. And Nixon knew Phil well, especially by the time he ran in 1960 and then became president in 68. So what I find interesting, too, Paul, is that you've named a few different people, some names I've never actually heard of of intelligence or, you know, military people who say that they were witnesses to this and that there's a video as well. So, you know, it's not, this isn't just some folklore. story. These are direct witnesses who say they spoke to Eisenhower spoke to them about it or they were at
Starting point is 00:32:33 these meetings. So there are actual direct testimony to these meetings that Eisenhower had in his knowledge of aliens. I mean, that's, I don't think that can be overstated really because that's probably something that isn't brought up enough. Bits and pieces leak out. People
Starting point is 00:32:49 do talk. They do whisper or they do get together with a UFO book author or somebody. And of course, surface, at face value, you think, oh, this guy's nuts. The president didn't meet with aliens. It sounds at first ridiculous. And then the more you read, the more you learn, you find out it was very possible, and I think it did happen.
Starting point is 00:33:13 There's Dr. Michael Sala, you're familiar with his work. Sure. He had a whole, like, 30-page paper on various sources that he accumulated that said it did happen. One was a man who was working on a house near Palm Springs, and he says, can't believe the media didn't cover this visit by Eisenhower on the base. I was there and I heard and saw some of this going on that Eisenhower arrived at night during his golf vacation. And another was a like an officer who said that he heard there was a secret visit by Eisenhower. There were extraterresters involved. And most of the base personnel were kicked out of the base to set up this.
Starting point is 00:33:56 And when they came back, they were told to get their personal belongings and beat it for a few days, that they were not really allowed back in. I guess this was during the time of Eisenhower's remaining golf vacation in Palm Springs. And Casey came back or wanted to know what's going on as they assessed all the information. All of these stories start to mesh together that this Edwards Air Force base, which had the leading aerodynamic technology. the assessment center, I forget the exact title, Flight Research Center, I think it was, on the base. So this is where you would bring aliens to if you wanted to appreciate it by professionals and scientists. And there's one source who claimed that we were gifted a craft from this meeting. And I put together a few eyewitness accounts that say that this craft was still in a hangar as of at least the 1960s.
Starting point is 00:34:52 Some guy said I wandered off away from where I was supposed to be going, and I wandered into this hangar, and I looked in, and oh, my gosh, there's this perfectly beautiful alien craft, and I was hustled out of there pretty quick, and it matched the description of one of these craft that came down during the Eisenhower era. So I think if we were gifted this, it would have been something we would have been studying to see if we can duplicate through reverse engineering. Right. Another source claimed that, as he heard it, the craft were so lightweight. The aliens invited Eisenhower to go on board. He turned them down. But that the men around him were encouraged to just try lifting it up. And they did. It was very lightweight. And they were able to pick it up, you know. And it was not some sort of heavy jet craft like our own very heavy engines and, you know, the metal that we use. So, again, very advanced technology, super lightweight, could fly much, much faster just dart about than anything we had. And again, this caused Eisenhower grave concern. And, you know, he was looking out for the best interests of America, didn't want to touch off a panic and be the president responsible for maybe a stock market crash. People quitting college, quitting their jobs, wanting to go to California and see the aliens or something like that. And so he probably made the only move that was reasonable and necessary to set up future landings and such in contact with him.
Starting point is 00:36:27 Way on the Nevada Desert where no one is around and do it in super secret. It might have even been this close to this S4 that is allegedly part of Area 51. I won't go into Bob Lazard too much, but there's a few people that have said that we do have, alien craft that have either crashed or been shot down or gifted to us and that we are working on reverse engineering. I can't really speak to that, but it sounds at least plausible. Yeah, and there's a lot of corroborating stories with this and testimony, obviously. Real quick, last thing on that, because I do want to get to the Nixon story as well, but the video portion has really caught my attention because I'd never heard that there was video of this. So one camera gets destroyed reportedly
Starting point is 00:37:12 from some type of frequency or interference from the craft, but one continues to record. So is it, I mean, is it safe to say that this entire meeting, at least the first meeting that we know of, was fully recorded and that this tape exists somewhere of Eisenhower Media with aliens? Supposedly it does. This reporter for the Vatican, Christian Barbato, I think his name,
Starting point is 00:37:35 said his source of the Vatican says there really is a copy of this footage that the Vatican has it. It's super secret, and that one is black and white, and one is color. And when, you know, I told you about the aerial display that the aliens put on, they flitted past the Air Force hangar a little too close, and it shorted out one of the cameras. So that film ends abruptly, he said. He said that he had not seen the footage, but his source that he took seriously said he has seen the footage. So there was a movie made called the 11th Green a few years ago,
Starting point is 00:38:10 an independent film of the Eisenhower story. And their main artwork shows Eisenhower standing at the lip of this Air Force hanger talking to these human-like aliens. And in the background, there's like a newsreel cameraman recording all of this because that was his information and his research as well that it was recorded. So you would hope that someday somebody will hack that footage or from the government leak the footage or just release it and say, yeah, this happened. And we know that President Trump has given the order to open all these files, and I'm still mildly hopeful that something will be released.
Starting point is 00:38:49 But so far, we've seen nothing. And from what I hear and read, a lot of people in military intelligence and such, defense industry, they're not going to leak or show us anything. Yeah, absolutely, because we talk about the military connection. It actually directly involves military down here in South Florida. and Nixon and his good friend Jackie Gleason. They love to play golf together. This is, again, one of those stories that just have so many elements to it and different witnesses and different testimony,
Starting point is 00:39:18 including Gleason's ex-wife, who said he was never the same after it. So I guess the story goes just in layman's terms, Nixon says to Jackie Gleason, I know you're interested in this, and I'm going to show you some aliens. I mean, what happened here? Yeah, Nixon and Gleason were both public figures and love to golf together.
Starting point is 00:39:39 And this went on as far back as the 50s when Jackie became obsessed with the UFOs, like no one in the country. Jackie had money to burn. He had up to $14 million a year in his income from TV, movie, and record albums. So he started off offering like $50,000, then $100,000 to anyone who could bring him physical evidence,
Starting point is 00:40:04 proof of extraterrestrials visiting Earth. He would appear on the Long John Nable radio show in New York City late at night and talk about aliens. And I've heard the recordings online. The sound quality is poor, but you can hear this is Jackie Gleason, and I wanted to check in on this story. And I don't believe in that story or this story. Jackie was discerning. He didn't believe everything he was told. But according to his biographers, he would call up other UFO researchers.
Starting point is 00:40:34 He would call up UFO experiencers or people who reported sightings and quiz them intently. He bought up every book and newsletter on the paranormal, especially flying saucers. And he had a huge library of thousands of books, which have been donated now to the University of Miami. You can go down there and see that. Stephen can, maybe. That's right. At their reading room and see all that Jackie collected. He just was wild privately about the paranormal.
Starting point is 00:41:03 and on the honeymooners in the 50s, he had to go to a costume party. So he puts together, Rao Cramden puts together his own costume and declares, I am the man from space. He literally presented himself as an alien for a little bit on his own TV show. That's all for comedy's sake. But this shows the level of how he was willing to risk his reputation.
Starting point is 00:41:28 People might have thought of him as, you know, kooky or out there as he got over the edge in the conservative 50s when you didn't really talk about these sorts of things. So Jackie was very privately into it, and once in a while he let slip on this or that. And so he built, it's hard to believe it, you can see pictures of it to this day. He built a UFO house outside of New York City in Westchester County, and he made it in the shape of a spaceship with big bay windows on the edge of a cliff so you could look out and feel like you're riding in a space.
Starting point is 00:42:02 spaceship. And they surrounded the house with smaller buildings. He called the main one the mother ship and his garage, the scout ship. He invited some friends over. And according to one real estate magazine article online, Vice President Nixon was one of his guests in 1959. Okay. To the spaceship house. Jackie took up living at Inverary Golf Course in Miami. And every time Nixon would come down for a little golf vacation, they got together. And you know Jackie had to pepper him constantly. Can you tell me about these stories?
Starting point is 00:42:38 Can you show me the proof? And he probably for years went on, and Nixon didn't give him a thing. However, by January of 73, Nixon's tail was caught on a crack. His personal employees at the White House had broken into the Watergate Hotel and got caught. And they were threatening to talk. And at that point, Nixon thought, I need more. I need to raise hush money to keep these burglars quiet. So this all blows over.
Starting point is 00:43:06 They need to pay for their lawyers. They need to pay for their families. They've lost their jobs. They have no income. And according to the White House tapes, Nixon bugged himself. Nixon's really upset in January of 73. Where am I going to get this money? This hush money, we're going to need more than a million dollars.
Starting point is 00:43:24 And by, like, March, he's very calm about this. says on tape, oh, we've got that money. I know where we can get our hands on. It's not a problem. So Jackie had money to burn. He had this burning desire to see evidence of extraterrestrials. I think Nixon tapped into that at last and decided to risk national security concerns by letting his friend go with him to Homestead Air Force Base and see the proof. And this is what Jackie told his wife when he got home and he was ashen face, shook up. He was really emotionally rattled that he'd been waiting his whole life for this and he finally got to see the goods. I think he paid up through maybe a million dollars to Nixon to give him that money he needed.
Starting point is 00:44:11 Now, I don't have any hard proof, you know, like in a document, but Nixon utilized a lawyer named Herb Combach who went to prison for distributing cash to the Watergate burglars. And according to biographers, no one to this day can figure out where that cash came from. Where did all this money come from? Interesting. And Jackie also used Herb Kahnbach in previous dealings when ironing out details of the honeymooners' royalties for running in repeat. So they shared the same lawyer. Wow.
Starting point is 00:44:43 And they gulped together. They were close buddies. Nixon was a hero practically to Jackie who supported him publicly. And so, you know, you put two and two together and you get four. So Jackie was taken to Homestead Air Force Base. Now, how did he get there? This story that Nixon showed up in a car alone at Jackie's doors, nonsense. Okay, so I figured out.
Starting point is 00:45:05 Right, that's the story that's always been out there. So I'm glad you bring that up because, so the real story is then what? Because we always heard about how Nixon came to Jackie Gleason's house and knocks on the door and says, hey, you want to see some aliens and they go to the base together. I don't believe that's quite correct. However, Nixon arrived at Jackie's house that very day, Monday, February 19th, remember, that date, the exact date of the Eisenhower encounter 19 years earlier. Wow.
Starting point is 00:45:33 And it's in the news. You can see the little photos of Jackie and Nixon together at a charity golf course, or charity golf tournament that Jackie was running on the inferiority golf course. And then after it was over, Jackie drove Nixon back to this chopper pad on the golf course, right behind Jackie's house and the president took off, which means Nixon's pilot had the logistics and the statistics on how to get there and land safely, and he pulled it off that afternoon. I think Nixon sent that pilot back that night. Jackie disappeared from his house, came back later, all shook up, and Jackie's wife said, I asked him, where have you been?
Starting point is 00:46:15 What's happened to you? He said, Nixon showed me the proof for extraterrestrials at Homestead Air Force Base. So that would have been about a 10 to 15 minute helicopter ride, whether Nixon was on board when the helicopter set down or not, I don't know. He may have probably called and said, I'm sending that chopper back for you. I want to show you something, get on board, and come. So Jackie flew to Homestead Air Force Base, and there was Nixon. And according to Jackie's wife, who recounted what Jackie told her that very night, Nixon and Jackie had a bodyguard.
Starting point is 00:46:55 A few of them surrounded themselves with guards and were taken in a vehicle across the base to an isolated building. That was kind of like a lab or a morgue. And in they went and Nixon showed him four alien bodies stretched out on four examining tables. They were quite dead. And Jackie said they looked like maybe they had been involved or were going to be involved. They match the exact description of the 1955 Hopkinsville, Kentucky attack on the Sutton family. Remember that story? Sure.
Starting point is 00:47:29 They had basically small green. Yeah, they had big pointy ears, big bug eyes. They were dwarfish, odd skin tone, like maybe greenish gray or something like that. And that they were creepy looking, of course. And that Nixon allowed him to get up close and take a look. So whether those were the same exact race, I can't say absolutely for sure, but I'd be willing to bet. And Jackie got his wish. He got his million dollars worth.
Starting point is 00:47:59 I'm pretty sure. And it really shook him up. Hey, guys. So before we get back into the conversation, I just want to talk about something that affects all of us. And it's scary. Starting something new, right? It's hard. And it is kind of terrifying because you think about all the work that goes into it.

There's another story that says after their inspection of the bodies, Nixon took Jackie to another part of the base, an Air Force hangar, and there he was allowed to review this silver spaceship. And it was a perfectly intact craft, and it was kind of alive. It was being tethered or held down by cables, according to this source. and, you know, it was up in the air within this Air Force hangar. And Jackie got himself, you know, again, his money's worth. And Nixon may have told him, you know, this may be the craft that these creatures came down.
Starting point is 00:51:49 I don't know. I'm speculating what Nixon would have told him. But supposedly, the hangar is something, according to the source, a building that you could see from the highway. It had to keep its doors closed, you know. So. Wow. If you want to go there to this day, it would be kind of fruitless partly because, as we discussed, before we went on the air, home state air force base is a very high tech and high security base.
Starting point is 00:52:16 But it's also been wiped out by a hurricane in the 1990s, I think it was. Yeah, Andrew. Yeah. And rebuilt completely. It's not what it was. It's a different base now. So that building. Yeah, that building then, that hangar where the craft was supposedly that did that get kind of,
Starting point is 00:52:34 destroyed during Hurricane Andrew. Hurricane Andrew, 1992 is I think what you're referring to. Is that building gone? I don't know for sure, but that could have been the case where it was rebuilt or they just, you know, went ahead and tore the whole thing down and started again from scratch. I'm not an expert on that, but I do know it got badly flattened. All the homestead area was badly damaged by this hurricane. And so Nixon had a home in Key Biscayne, and he went there. like dozens of times during his presidency.
Starting point is 00:53:08 And he would use Homestead Air Force Base for Air Force One to land, take a chopper himself, Marine One over to this chopper pad behind his Keyes Gain home, and he flitted back and forth all the time by helicopter. So it seems very logical to believe he sent that chopper pilot over to Jackie's helicopter pad right behind his house on the Inverary Golf Course to take him back and forth that night. So Nixon was familiar with Homestead Air Force Base, used it a lot. Right. President Kennedy used it at times when he went to Palm Beach.
Starting point is 00:53:44 That's right. Maybe West Palm Beach. You may have seen the Kennedy compound. I think they sold it. It no longer belongs to the Kennedy family, but very famous in that region. Yep. So that Homestead was very much used by a president type of base so that Nixon knew what was going on there. And it's important to know that by February of 73, when this occurred, Nixon was the only
Starting point is 00:54:10 president left on the face of the earth from United States of America. Johnson, Truman, had recently passed on. Eisenhower was dead. Kennedy. And on and on. All past presidents were dead. Jay Edgar Hoover was dead. Alan Dulles of the CIA was dead. All the old-timers who might have given him some static over showing Jackie Gleason, a civilian, extraterrestrial bodies or craft, they were all gone. And that left Nixon King of the Hill free to act as he wished. They used to call it the imperial presidency under King Richard because he just seemed to do whatever he wanted.
Starting point is 00:54:45 He had won re-election in November of 72 in a landslide. So he was feeling like he could do anything he wanted and he did. That's interesting. I've never actually considered that point before about how it's not like today where you still have a lot of the elements, say, from even the Reagan era, where, you know, we started talking about really bringing these things up with Star Wars program or even with, you know, the Bush and the CIA and all these different things. Pompeo is, you know, CIA. A lot of these people had these maybe secrets and traditions passed down and you have a lot of former presidents who
Starting point is 00:55:21 are still with us currently during the current presidency. So it's a very interesting point to bring up that I never considered that he was kind of like King of the Hill at that point. And also something to think about that I think is really important when people say, well, how could this be true? Number one, the point you bring up, Paul, about Nixon's helicopter landing in that vicinity around Gleason's home is very plausible, more plausible than Nixon pulling up in his car and saying, let's go, you know, we're going to see aliens. That scenario of a helicopter landing at Gleason's home is much more plausible because they knew
Starting point is 00:55:56 where to go, like you said from, you know, the previous golf tournament, and then just fly to homestead. Nixon knows the area. And then number two is follow the money, right? So you mentioned how, again, another detail I wasn't really aware of that he needed the money for his guys who were involved with Watergate to kind of pay out that hush money. So why not ask your good buddy, Jackie Gleason? Now, maybe that's circumstantial. Maybe some people would complain about that. But it is very interesting to point out that they had the same lawyer and that there's this history with this lawyer who paid these guys so you can kind of connect the dots there. It's very, very intriguing.
Starting point is 00:56:33 I didn't know a lot of those details about the story. Yeah, it starts to make more and more sense and seem logical and not so wacky, just like the Eisenhower tale when you start piecing together all the parts of the puzzle. After my book came out in 2023, someone did a story online about the Nixon story and said that Jackie told some Hollywood producer people, Nixon showed me the proof. And they said, how do you know aliens are visiting here? And he repeated,
Starting point is 00:57:00 Nixon showed me the proof, and that's all he would say. Various UFO researchers kept contacting him or trying to contact him over the years, and he would say no comment. He could have said, that's a lot of nonsense, get out of here, I don't want to talk about this lie, but he never denigrated the story. Never said it was a lie.
Starting point is 00:57:19 His wife said this, and it became an article in the National Enquirer. It was never disputed. And so Jackie privately told some people from show business, and including one may have been Bert Reynolds. One source said that Bert Reynolds was hosting a barbecue in Palm Beach, Jupiter area. Yeah, he was big in Jupiter area. He invited Jackie, who was driven up in his car. Jackie didn't drive anywhere. He was a terrible driver, and he liked to tipple.
Starting point is 00:57:48 So Jackie would be given a limo driver everywhere he went as of, like the early 60s onward. So that Jackie showed up at this party, at this barbecue at Bert Reynolds' house, and mentioned a U.S. president showed me the bodies of extraterrestrials and someone who was there, or maybe Bert Reynolds himself passed this along, show business people may have been trusted, especially if you poured a few drinks into Jackie. I think he had somewhat of a cast iron stomach, but he was so used to it. but you know, alcohol can loosen anyone's lips and say some things.
Starting point is 00:58:28 Now, recently, here's another good story. Roger Stone, an aide to President Nixon, said a few weeks ago, I was having drinks with Richard Nixon. Nixon's tongue was a little loosened, and he admitted that he did show Jackie Gleason the evidence for extraterrestrials at an Air Force base. Now, Roger Stone is risking, I guess, his reputation or something by making this claim, but he came forward and said, this is what Nixon told me, that he did reveal to Jackie Gleason. So there's another source that says this story is quite real.
Starting point is 00:59:01 And the helicopter pads, the choppers, the Air Force base, Nixon King of the Hill, Beverly Gleason's story, when Becky came home, said he was so shook up, he began to drink more than usual, smoke more than usual, couldn't get to sleep. I looked it up and Jackie almost stopped making movies for a few years. He only made one TV show in 1973, a honeymooner special. He stopped making all of his albums. It's as if he was kind of so badly traumatized by finally seeing the truth that he kind of dropped out of society, so to speak, for a while. I've heard some things like that before when it comes. You talk about Roger Stone as a Nixon aide. There's been other stories about AIDS from Reagan or Carter's Time, who are supposedly
Starting point is 00:59:49 in meetings or told about these things, and they were similar to Jackie Gleason. They couldn't sleep. Their lives were changed. They were despondent. What do you think it was, or maybe you were told at some point, at least a semblance, aside from just seeing, and I know not to make it sound trite, but aside from just seeing alien bodies with these big elf-like ears and these big eyes, was there something else you think that he was told a secret and origin that would just shake him up like that? I've got a source. I can't give you his name, but he, He said, Paul, I didn't believe your Nixon story at first.
Starting point is 01:00:24 I checked with my sources in the military intelligence and the media, and they said the story is true. Now, that's like secondhand hearsay. But he said that Nixon was there on February 19th because he too met with an extraterrestrial, and this may have been something Jackie witnessed that really shook him up a live alien. Now, it's just a, you know, a secondhand claim. and it's very speculative, but that's why on February 19th, the exact anniversary, this treaty that Eisenhower did in 54, February 19th of 73 was the 19th anniversary, and Nixon had to be at an Air Force base to meet with someone to update this treaty, you know, amend it or change it or end it or extend it. But that's no coincidence that they both occurred at night, at an Air Force base, Alien Matters on February.
Starting point is 01:01:18 19th. So Jackie may have seen more than what he told his wife, you know. Right. That he told her some things, but he may not have told her everything. So to backtrack real quick, I check Nixon's digitized records,
Starting point is 01:01:34 and for February 19th, 1973, he is at home in his Key Biscayne House, and his records ended at about 8 o'clock that night. Then it says, a document has been removed from this file. And they literally say this in his files and the schedule picks up the next morning where Nixon does some routine
Starting point is 01:01:54 things and he takes off, I think, for South Carolina. So he left the next day. So what was this document that we are not allowed to see that just happens to be from that night? What a coincidence. Well, and just to go with what you're saying about February 19th, though, the reason why I brought this up and wanted to clarify on it, because as we were talking about it, the thought popped into my head, wait a minute, that does sound familiar February 19th, and when we're talking about presidents, you know, having these types of instances with extraterrestrials, I started thinking about now. And I thought about Barack Obama, where he famously had that moment last month or so was actually in Valentine's Day. I remember because I was out to lunch with my wife where that clip broke where he said, aliens are real. And then he had to explain himself.
Starting point is 01:02:41 But guess what happened five years later on February 19th of this year. year in 2026, President Trump had the moment on Air Force One where he said, oh, yeah, you know what, I'm got to look into the alien files. And then later that night, on February 19th, this year, he puts out the truth social statement saying that he's going to ask to have the alien files declassified. What is it? And this, again, this wasn't prepared. This wasn't said their research. It's just right now I'm talking about it. He could have picked any time of any day. But he waited to the night of February 19th to announce, I'm opening up all the files.
Starting point is 01:03:16 What is that about? Is this just a coincidence or not? That is so weird. So now we have these three things with three different presidents and three different time periods where it's a meeting with Eisenhower. It's a showing with Jackie Gleason from Nixon. And then President Trump puts out that we wanted to classify all on February 19th spread out between 70 years. How strange is that? Yeah, I'll go you one better.
Starting point is 01:03:41 I'm doing research on President Reagan, who also had his own one or two. two UFO sightings. And in his digitized records of February 19th, 1987, I think it was, he's at the White House, but he picks up the phone according to records and he called all our past former U.S. presidents to talk to them about something on that exact date. Really? Now, coincidence? Yeah, Ford, Nixon, and Carter.
Starting point is 01:04:07 He says, I've got something I want to talk to you about. So what was it so important that he had to talk to all our presidents on that day? I don't know. Maybe someday after we're dead and gone, they'll release everything. But it's a special day. I had no idea until right now that there was that connection. So I guess maybe that means absolutely nothing. It's completely circumstantial, but it is an odd coincidence, to say the least.
Starting point is 01:04:32 And that's when Roger Stone decided to spill the beans on what Nixon told him, coincidence or not. When he saw that Trump had announced on February 19th, this is when Roger Stone wanted get this information across that Nixon showed Jackie Gleason the evidence for extraterrestrial visitation. It's not a joke. The presidents know these things. They're much more informed, I think. When you see Clinton, Obama, and Bush on talk shows, they're almost always asked, are we being visited? We'd like to know. And then give a glib answer and laugh it off. And finally, Obama did say, yeah, I think aliens are real. And that caused something.
Starting point is 01:05:16 people to say, oh, that's a violation of national security, which again tells you that we really are being visited. If it was nonsense or just mere speculation, no one would be in any sort of uproar. Wow. This has been really, really fun, Paul. A lot of great stuff to consider it, to even go back and listen. I'm going to go back personally and listen to some of the names and to some of the more details again so I can take more of this in and take some notes. It's been really, really fascinating and educational. I'm glad that these two stories remain to be some, you know, that they're still spoken about. I think they're important stories. Even if some people think they aren't true, maybe there's some elements of truth here that can lead us down some different
Starting point is 01:05:56 paths. So Paul Blake Smith, this has been a lot of fun to talk about again and bring these stories up. And I have a feeling that I'm going to be looking into these again more as time goes on. Before we go, how can people find your books that you've written about these subjects? And what can we look forward to? I'll have you back on in the future about your new book as well. You can find them on Amazon.com. They are still available and through audio book on tantor.com. And one has been signed. The Nixon-Gleason book has been signed to be turned into a major motion picture. Outstanding. So you can find my books. I try to cram in as much factual information and not go over the top and make sure the readers get their money's worth.
Starting point is 01:06:37 and there's footnotes and such and sources. So it's like you say, it's just fascinating as can be both stories. And I hope to have a book on President Reagan's close encounters in the coming year or two. And I'll have one on the Cape Girardeau story updated with some new information coming out in July from Llewellyn Publishing. Outstanding. Well, we'll talk to, I'll bring you back on here, Paul, the next few months once that one comes out. and we can talk about a lot of these stories. And that's an event in 1941,
Starting point is 01:07:09 because I think that's one a lot of people overlook in Missouri in 1941. You know, so many other crashes are spoken about. So, again, amazing stuff. I don't think personally it's any coincidence that these things relate back to a lot of different presidents and a lot of different stories with different presidents. So it's a subject that is going to continue to go on until maybe more information comes out to the public. Paul Blake Smith, again, thanks so much for doing this. I'll talk to you again soon right here on UAP.
Starting point is 01:07:37 You're quite welcome, and I hope everyone enjoys the show and gives you good feedback on it. Thanks a lot. Well, thank you again to Paul Blake Smith for that. And I really hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, especially toward the end. I want to start there real quick when it comes to some of these post-interview thoughts. If you follow along on social media, you probably saw me talk about this already because I posted a video as soon as I was done with that interview talking with Paul. And it was all about February 19th, the synchronicity that I ended up coming across that kind of struck me like a bolt of lightning mid-conversation.
Starting point is 01:08:13 You probably heard how excited I was and even a little bit freaked out about how that February 19th date lined up, like an alignment of the stars, how it lined up with the original date of Eisenhower's meeting. and then Nixon's date when he took Jackie Gleason to see the bodies, right? If we believe both of those things that they happened on that February 19th date, of course, separate years apart, and then lined up with, as you heard, President Trump's directive to release the alien files all on February 19th. And I put out a video on social media.
Starting point is 01:08:53 I think I put it on YouTube and on Twitter at UA Podcast. At UA Podcast 850. it up if you didn't see it and follow along, where I was just kind of had that immediate reaction talking about what does this mean? And I'll ask that question again, then I ask in the video and then I ask with Paul there just quickly, what does that mean? I mean, there's a couple of options here. One, absolutely nothing. It could just be a massive, very odd coincidence that all three of those events line up on the very same date of February 19th, some type of cosmic coincidence there. or, right, maybe that's the most likely scenario.
Starting point is 01:09:32 Admittedly, I will say that. Or it's another possibility where if you don't want to believe in coincidences and say everything happens for a reason, then maybe this is some type of cosmic connection. That it says specific date, it's an important date. It's some type of date of note that means something to the cosmos or in the cosmos, maybe something having to do with alignments in space or. or even a date that means something to extraterrestrials. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:10:03 I'm just spitballed in here. But just to throw out some of those possibilities as to why all of those specific events would take place on the same exact date with three different presidents 70 years apart. Again, it could absolutely mean nothing. Most likely it does. But it was something strange that I couldn't help but to notice
Starting point is 01:10:23 and think to myself, maybe one of those possibilities might be the case. And actually, even more so, to add to the coincidence, if you will, when he spoke about Reagan, I had never heard that story. Why did Reagan call all the former living presidents
Starting point is 01:10:43 in 1987 on February 19th? We don't know what that discussion was about. You heard Paul, I've never heard that story. I've never heard that claim that Reagan made a call to all former living presidents on February 19th, 1987. to talk about something, one after the other. So what was that conversation about?
Starting point is 01:11:03 As you heard him say, that's scrubbed from the digital record. All we know is that he did make those phone calls. Now, if we look back at 1987, of course, it might have something to do with, you know, some type of geopolitical issue or, you know, who knows? Maybe he was looking for advice coming out of his presidency, and he wanted to talk to them about how they handled the end of their presidencies because that would have been toward the end of his second term.
Starting point is 01:11:26 I don't know. It could be something as simple as that. But the fact that that call took place, or those calls, took place on February 19th, as Paul pointed out, did give me a little pause to think, hmm, I wonder, did it have to do with what we're talking about here? Does it line up again with the other three scenarios? And if that's the case, then Trump's Truth Social Post would have been the fourth case of, you know, alien, I guess, discussion. on that February 19th date, but we don't know what that Reagan calls were all about. But really interesting to hear that. Some other things to look at here.
Starting point is 01:12:04 He mentioned some names, Paul did, about that I've never heard before. A congressman, a state congressman, Henry W. McElroy from New Hampshire, who says that he saw the document that proved that the Eisenhower meeting did take place. I had never heard that before. So we can always look into Henry W. McElroy on our own time, I suppose, from New Hampshire to see what type of legitimacy he might have toward that claim that he saw this document proving, not only alleging, but proving that the Eisenhower meeting with the aliens did take place.
Starting point is 01:12:40 And also, how about the video? I had never heard of a video of this meeting with Eisenhower. Did you? I've never heard of that claim before that apparently this video might actually be in possession of the Vatican, that they might have this stored away with, you know, some other secret documents and some other secret videos that have been rumored over time. And just that would be incredible. I mean, what an incredible thought that there is actual video.
Starting point is 01:13:09 I mean, think about what have, I mean, that would be the game changer of all game changers. The paradigm shift right there would be in that video from over 70 years ago showing President Eisenhower at the time, meeting with alien grays and flying their solsters around. Are you kidding me? that would change the world. So that's the first time I've ever heard of that claim before. And now I'm kind of obsessed with trying to find out if this video does exist. So maybe more on that to come in the future.
Starting point is 01:13:38 I don't know. I'll see what I can dig up. But yeah, that's, that was, that stuck with me. That was by far one of the most memorable things I think anyway. As far as, you know, just important evidence that we could look at. That would point to this being real. That would be it right there. If that video does exist.
Starting point is 01:13:56 it still exists within Vatican possession. We found out that it was an Air Force pilot, a test pilot who blew this story wide open back in 1982 and he felt like it was safe to do it, that he gave this story to the media and to disseminate it and put it out there for the first time. So I had always wondered where this story came from. Like how did this start to get told?
Starting point is 01:14:19 And now I know. And now we know. In case you didn't know either, it was from this test pilot from the Air Force who says he was there, It happened, and he saw it happen, and he said that, you know, I guess supposedly toward the end of his life there in 1982. And then, of course, the familiar claim about what did they say to Eisenhower, that they were concerned about our nuclear testing. We have heard that many times over the years, over the decades, and we see it still today, connecting even all the way back to the Malmstrom Air Force Base incident with Bob Salas, where they turned off the nukes.
Starting point is 01:14:53 and there's been other instances throughout time that we've covered here on the show having to do with nuclear installations, having to do with missile launches, having to do with missile tests, you know, that they start to show up more after we use the atomic bombs at the end of World War II and as we were doing nuclear testing later on, all of a sudden these craft started to come and be seen more and more, become more publicly visible. So that claim has always been there, so I'm not surprised to hear. and even to this day how they're still flying over
Starting point is 01:15:24 or nuclear installations and they seem to still have an interest in those things. So not surprised at all to hear that if that meeting did take place, that that is something that would have been brought up at that time. Two more things that struck me. And there was a lot actually to kind of cherry pick from that interview that I'm sure you have on your mind as well. But there were two or more things specifically that I wanted to touch on.
Starting point is 01:15:45 One is what caused Eisenhower to say, yeah, we're not talking about this to the public. Of course, there were a few aspects there. There are a few determining factors. But it sounded like from what Paul was saying, according to the details that he was able to find for his book, was that the capability that the craft showed, the cloaking capability, right,
Starting point is 01:16:08 the invisibility he spoke about, the flight capabilities of how it was able to move so fast and make all those sharp turns. Of course, we see those things and we call them the observables now, as far as intensity's acceleration, being able to stop and turn on a dime. These are all things that we know about now and talk about in UFO sightings. But if we believe the story, apparently that was something that Eisenhower was shown in this original meeting back in the mid-50s.
Starting point is 01:16:33 And then we talk about, and this is the last thing I wanted to touch on from that story just personally, where Paul spoke about how this craft, how it was demonstrated to Eisenhower and the team standing there at that time at the hangar at Edwards Air Force. base that they could just pick it up with one hand. They said, look, here, come feel how light this is. And you were able to just kind of pick it up. Now, two things on that. Number one, of course, that would point to some type of, you know, anti-gravidic technology that would make this thing extremely light.
Starting point is 01:17:07 Like, you know, light as a feather. It's not bound to the same principles of gravity that are craft and our equipment are bound to, right? that the principles of mass. And it also reminds me about a story that I heard personally from a coworker of mine. This was years ago. And they knew I was interested in the topic. And I think I might have actually spoken about this one other time on the show over the years.
Starting point is 01:17:32 But it's worth bringing up again now since literally it's almost identical to what we heard there. I had been told the story one time from a co-worker from a secondhand story that he was told the story from one of his, brothers friends or father's friends, somebody in his family, I forget the particulars, but it was somebody in his family that he knew that talked about how when they were in the Air Force years ago and they were at one of the hangers that had UFO wreckage. And this guy was an old man and that's why he was willing to tell the story to my friend. And he told my friend, my coworker at the time, that yeah, we were able to go in and look at the wreckage and it was like just we could pick it up with one.
Starting point is 01:18:16 one finger. It was as light as a feather. And that, so when I heard that from Paul there talking about how they demonstrated that capability to Eisenhower and his team that they could just kind of lift the craft with one finger, it reminded me of the very same story that I was told years ago from my friend who said that he heard that a story like that from, you know, a former soldier in the Air Force, I believe, former airmen and then, if you will, in the Air Force, that they had a similar experience. Now, of course, that's the first time I heard that account from Paul Blake Smith, so I wouldn't know that those, that we had similar stories, but that story that I was told popped into my head immediately. I didn't bring it up with Paul because we're in the middle of
Starting point is 01:18:58 the conversation, but I wanted to point it out now that I found the similarities in those two separate stories, two separate accounts, strikingly similar. And to me personally, it actually led to a certain level of credence that maybe that that that meeting did actually take place because really of that one detail. There's a lot of things that actually for me point to that meeting very possibly being real. And to be honest, I've actually kind of always believed that it did happen, but it's hard for us to say for sure. But that one right there really, really struck me because it hit that personal cord for me.
Starting point is 01:19:37 I have heard that detail before personally from somebody that they're were able to pick it up with one finger. And now we're talking about that in this story. And that's the first time I've heard that detail, a description like that connected to the Eisenhower meeting. So I just wanted to kind of connect the dots there personally about that detail of the story. And then when it comes to Jackie Gleason, that story to me has always been just unreal. But what has always kind of pointed to that one being worthy of consideration.
Starting point is 01:20:11 if not just flat out true, was his reaction afterward. Right now, of course, Jackie Gleason was an actor. Okay, very famous actor in his time. As you heard Paul say, was worth a lot of money. I had a very expensive home in South Florida, in Miami, a guy with a lot of resources, right? And so much so that you're able to pay off Richard Nixon to show you aliens. So two things now that really stick with me that actually make that story very believable.
Starting point is 01:20:39 actually three things. Number one, that he may have been picked up in a helicopter. The part for me, and you heard me say to Paul, the part for me that always kind of made that story hard to believe was that Nixon was able to drive on his own accord to Jackie Gleason's house, pick him up, and then drive him 30 miles to Homestead Air Force Base. That and just go through the gate and say, hey, let us in.
Starting point is 01:21:01 Of course, you're going to do that because it's the president of the United States. So he's the commander-in-chief, and you're going to do what he says when he pulls up to the base. But the fact that the story, he went that I had been told that I, you know, in folklore, in UFO folklore, if you will, that I had always heard and even spoke about on the original episode when I covered this years ago was the detail that Richard Nixon drove to Jackie Gleason's house, picked him up and took him to the base.
Starting point is 01:21:24 That always made it kind of like, I don't know if this really happened. But it makes a lot more sense now when you think about that Richard Nixon would have had his helicopter pilot land behind Gleason's home on the golf course where they just were earlier in the day to pick up Gleason and bring him to the base to meet President Nixon at the base. That makes much more sense. And that was the first time I had heard that description of that story. So I can kind of now reconcile that a lot better. Maybe you can as well.
Starting point is 01:22:01 And then you talk about money. whenever you can track money to me that makes a story a lot more credible and you can always follow money whenever there's a question to a story I always say follow the money and when it comes to this one if we ask the question
Starting point is 01:22:19 okay so we have the how how would Nixon have brought Gleason to the Homestead Air Force space to see aliens okay perfect sense helicopter take him over there you were just there earlier in the day fine it's plausible but what about the other questions, right?
Starting point is 01:22:35 The what, the whys? Well, money. Follow the money. We find out during that interview with Paul where he says that Gleason may have actually paid a million dollars to Nixon because it's in the middle of the Watergate scandal. And he needed to pay off his guys for hush money. Nixon running out of money at that point, running out of support internally, needs to find a way out of this
Starting point is 01:23:01 to pay off the guys involved in Watergate to pay them off to be quiet about it so where does he go? One of his good friends who has a lot of money how am I going to get him to pay me I'll show him the aliens I know he'll give me a million dollars for that
Starting point is 01:23:16 so when you talk about the lawyers that they shared as well that makes sense you have a personal connection with the lawyer you have being able to track the money because the lawyer ends up getting arrested later on. So you can add that that is trackable.
Starting point is 01:23:32 That is something that is tangible, that you can see that would have been used to gain access. And as to why Nixon would have even, through all those years of begging, hey, tell me about it, tell me about it. Now all of a sudden he does it. That makes sense. That to me is a very plausible explanation. And then last but not least, and what makes this story actually like really, really
Starting point is 01:23:54 believable to me has always been the one factor. this hasn't changed from before to now is that Jackie Gleason's reaction afterward again I know he was an actor but the way that he came home as described by his then wife and you know they get divorced later on
Starting point is 01:24:11 but her story never changed why tell that story why have that detail that he was you know was as white as a ghost he was never the same after that had trouble sleeping didn't even act anymore right we say he's an actor so maybe he's just making it up He didn't even act anymore until years later when he finally went back into TV.
Starting point is 01:24:33 I mean, so that part to me, before I learned the other two details here with you on this episode, that part to me is just his internal reaction, how he acted afterward at home, how he acted in his career, where he just disappeared for a while. Those details to me have always stuck out to me. And now I get those other ones and we get those other ones together. I got to tell you. This story might be true. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:24:59 I mean, again, it's one of those that has always caught my attention that has always intrigued me so much. And it was really, really fun and educational even to learn those hidden details to me. I had never heard all those details with both stories. And for me personally, I hope so for you as well. It helped to connect so many missing pieces on those two stories to make us think like, yeah, those actually might be really true.
Starting point is 01:25:26 Like there's always been questions to them. I personally believe them over the years. But now after I hear those details, man, I'm just saying. We always, you know, always decide for yourself. But I think I'm making the decision that there's something to these. It's hard to refute those details that we learned here today. But all in all, I hope you had fun with that one. And now we can kind of sit back and reflect on it all because they are important stories.
Starting point is 01:25:53 It's not like those are funny ha-ha stories. They're really important stories for the history. of this topic. And if we can push some more details out that show that they might be true, I think it's really, really important. Yeah, they're fascinating. Yeah, they're fun. Yeah, they're interesting. But if we can, you know, kind of try to prove more things on them to show people that this might actually have happened, it's huge, to say the least. So hopefully we helped to do that here today during this interview. And I thank Paul Blake Smith again for all his time and for sharing his research with us that are in his books. So check him out. If you'd like,
Starting point is 01:26:25 You can check out his work like you heard him say on, you know, Amazon and anywhere else you search for books. Just search him out, Paul Blake Smith. But coming up here on UAP, as fun as that was, I know we're going to have a lot more fun thinking about these topics coming up. I'm going to have on Christopher Sharp from the Liberation Times. He is one of the best, one of the absolute best reporters on this subject. I followed his work for years now. Ever since I started doing the show, I have followed Christopher Sharp. he does an incredible job.
Starting point is 01:26:58 He's extremely credible himself. And the work that he puts into his resources, to his sources as a whole, and to his reporting for the Liberation Times on this topic is, in my opinion, second to none. He is incredible at what he does. And I'm so happy that I'm going to be able to have him on the show here for the first time. And I know that's going to be something that we all enjoy listening to together. So look forward to my interview with Christopher Sharper. coming out early next week.
Starting point is 01:27:28 I'll have that one out, as well as on the docket in the planning stages, Ryan Sprague. I've never spoken to him on the show before either. So it could be a couple of first coming up next week from Somewhere in the Skies podcast. He obviously does a great job and has for a while in this space. And he just came out with an episode doing a really deep dive and investigation into the disappearances of General McCasteland and others who have disappeared, connected to the UFO topic or even killed recently connected to the UFO topic and space exploration
Starting point is 01:28:01 and investigation into this conversation. It's a disturbing trend that has happened recently. And Ryan just came out with an episode really doing a deep dive into all that. And that's something that I've been wanting to cover myself. So I'm going to be talking with Ryan next week about that where we will be able to really dig into it together and hopefully get some questions answered and get some facts out there for everybody to consider. or about really a scary thing that's happening in the space right now is the disappearances and even the murders of some people that might be connected to this whole thing.
Starting point is 01:28:37 So I know it's a little heavy, but it's an important topic. And a lot of really, really big stuff come up here on UAP. So stick around. Hopefully you continue to stick around here on the show. Continue to download it and subscribe to the show wherever you get your podcast on all the major platforms and follow along at UA Podcast 850 on social media on YouTube. Check it out at UAP podcast. You can see a bunch of stuff up there as well.
Starting point is 01:29:00 And of course, feel free to send me any messages that you have on your mind too because I always try to get back to you. So until next time, it's Stephen Deaneer here saying thank you again for everything for all the support for always coming back. I couldn't do it without you. So until next time, it's Stephen Deiner here saying be well. Thanks so much. We'll talk again soon right here on UAP.
Starting point is 01:29:21 the Unidentified Alien Podcast.
