I am unashamed.
What about you?
Are we cranking this baby off?
It's already been cranked off.
Oh, we already been cranked off?
I mean, I wanted to tell Maggie, and I got the title.
It's not Maggie, it's Maddie, but Maggie.
It's insane, works.
But totally unashamed.
Insane, but unashamed.
That would have been a better name.
Maybe we need a segment when size is on.
call it the insane.
Unashamed.
Because you like this.
Because we got the hills there.
You and Murray and Jeff are treasure hunters.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, you were part of the team.
I got a question for you.
Yeah.
What, in your opinion, what is the greatest treasure on this earth?
The greatest treasure on the earth?
Yeah.
I would say it was not from the earth.
It had a divine, heavenly origin.
Well, that would go along with the podcast.
I'd say the Holy Spirit of God.
Money wise.
Oh, money wise.
Well, my favorite, my favorite treasure, I would have to say is a gold or silver coin.
So here's what, here's, you know, you got, I think they said you've got, what, seven wonders of the world or is it eight now?
Well, it's eight with your daughter, but it's not counting her.
She is a wonder.
Chasea Lee is the eight.
She is the eight.
She is the eight.
wonder of the world.
She came from you,
it's how it's a wonder.
I mean,
are we sure about that still,
Saia?
You sure there's not a little girl in Germany?
Here was one of them that I come up with.
The fountain of youth.
All right.
And guess what?
Uncle Tsai knows where it's at.
And we'll get into that later.
I want to get into it now.
No.
No,
we're going to get into what we're going to do here today.
That's right.
Well, first of all,
I'm tired up about being here today.
Oh,
We love having you on.
And Zach bolted on us as usual now.
So we have, what is that, a three-pronged approach.
Yeah.
It's me, you and Zach.
I know why that Jack, okay, because Zach's very intelligent.
Okay, and then you've got the uneducated country bumpkin on here.
You're saying he's tired of being dumbed down with us.
That's what size is.
No, I'm just saying he's like, well, I need a day off.
Well, you don't have a day off.
I don't have a day.
Right.
I mean, we're still working.
Where's the day off?
How does that play into that?
I wish I could just phone it ends, what I'm saying.
Hey, God ain't never said you get a day off.
No.
There you go.
That's exactly right.
But he's like, well, I need a day off, but I'm sending a replacement.
Yeah.
Well, Maggie did that.
And Phyllis was supposed to be here, but he had to work.
So we got side, which we're excited about.
So you got this, there's a key.
King Cake on set.
There's no story here.
Your daughter and I have an arrangement.
That was never, we never arranged.
Because today is Marty Grove, so it's the last day for King's.
You realize that, does you?
So there's a little company here.
Oh, so Ann made that?
Nan made that?
No, she, it's better than this.
Listen to this story.
You're right.
She made it happen.
There's a little hole in the wall.
Bakery.
Bakery.
Downtown Westmore.
I don't mind giving them some publicity because good luck.
Yeah, what's the name?
What is this?
It's on the ticket there.
On the, what does that say?
Well, hey, we got a guy who we play poker with, and he brings one there once in a while.
Yeah, these people make the best.
No, no, no.
And he brought one, and it was excellent.
What's the name?
The name of it is castor and chicory.
I don't even know what that means.
It's like, that's a coffee flavor.
So it's like a little coffee shop.
But when I was a kid, if I got in trouble, I had to drink Castor oil.
Wasn't that, wasn't that?
Yeah, castor.
Chichery is a kind of.
Whatever this, whatever the recipe.
They made you drink it.
We only got a tablespoon full.
Well, that was the drink.
It was still ingested.
I'm just saying.
Well, I can say you're turning up a bottle of capsule.
And look, you're talking about cleanse the lower bowel track.
Oh, yeah.
That's, that's, yeah.
Oh, it's going to break something loose.
No, she just.
I mean, now, Al, talking about wonders of the world.
I mean, your daughter.
She's amazing.
Who I think when I was in charge of Duck Commander,
which was a short stint.
And you're like, what happened?
I didn't want to be in charge.
I just looked up one day.
That's the way I wasn't.
You didn't want to be into it.
They left me in charge,
and then they never liked the decision I made.
And I said, well, hey, you idiot.
It's your own fault.
Because what?
You left me in charge.
Yeah.
That's why he never got past a E8 in the Army, right?
No, not all that.
I knew for me, knowing me.
Okay.
E7 was the best for me.
me.
So how many
numbers does
the military
so you are an E7?
How high
can you go?
It's too higher
E8 and E9
Well you were pretty
close.
Well, no, no, I could have
made it
except for this.
Okay.
If you're listening,
he's pointing to us now.
If I could just zip this
and just go with it,
it'd be okay.
But I've always
got to give you
my two cents worth
and hey,
they didn't ever like
my two cents worth.
I always ask
Jason and I do
events together.
It's been a minute
since we've done
one and I would always ask him if we were doing a Q&A.
He said,
side tell him how many CEOs you had that knew what they were talking about.
He said, two.
Yeah, I had 21.
High-ranked people.
Two of them understood me when you never had any followers.
I said, dressed up with a bunch of dummies.
That's so.
If you're in a position of leadership,
you need to be able to look at a man and know how to handle him.
Yeah.
Well, they didn't know what to do with me.
well sire you're putting them to the test you know because i've been knowing you my whole life and i wouldn't
i wouldn't you're named after how to tackle that you know so tell the story nan had well what she does
uh she'll she because i think this goes back the reason i brought up duck commander is because what
i would do is gather all the employees and i would point to your daughter and say be more like her
yeah she doesn't say much kept her mouth shut look she kept her mouth shut which she kept her mouth shut which
you have a problem
of that,
which is why we classed.
No,
see,
my whole family
was growing up
and said,
hey,
you got an authority
problem.
I said,
no,
I don't.
I said,
I've got a
stupidity problem.
Well,
I said,
because,
hey,
if you're in charge
and you're stupid,
you're going to have
problems.
Oh,
I thought you were
being self-deprecating.
No,
no,
but there's a theory
about my daughter.
All right.
The theory is,
they said,
hey,
somebody,
they have,
I had to switch babies.
Well, that's what I've always thought, but I didn't know to say it.
There's a woman, there's a, however, a 50-year-old woman in Germany, and people are saying, in
German, they're trying to figure out how she fits into their family, and they're like, she's the eighth wonder of the world,
because we've never seen a girl that talks such nonsense and crazy stuff.
No, no, because Trace would call me, you know, before we were talking, and she said,
Dad, I need a favor, and I says, well, what do you need, darn?
and she said, I need you to call me tomorrow about 2 o'clock.
And I want to have a conversation.
And she said, and it's being recorded and it's being shared as we're talking.
I said, oh, okay.
So she calls me, you know, she's in class with her kids.
Because she was walking around.
She's a teacher now.
Yeah, she was teaching.
So she was walking around checking her students.
And somebody said something about, you know, Uncle's eye.
You know, and they asked her, said, do you watch Doug Downey?
Ms. Farah, I can't even think of her name.
Coburn.
Yeah.
But anyway, she said, no, I don't watch it.
She said, that's my father.
You know, and they said, you're the biggest liar.
Can you blame them, so?
So I had to prove to her by calling and saying, okay.
It was proof of life.
Well, nobody would ever, if she could never convince anybody based on how she looks
And how smart is the show you should have done.
Y'all should have just gone around the country.
I told her in front of the class, I was talking on the phone.
I said, well, darling, here's the thing.
I said, look, I look in the mirror every morning where I'm getting ready to go out to face the world.
I said, you need to do the same thing.
There's no comparison between us, okay?
I said, you're dropped-dead gorgeous.
Oh, and I know that.
And I said, and you're very, very, very intelligent.
intelligent, articulate, beautiful.
These two things don't go with this.
No.
It's really, now that I've thought about it,
we might have discovered one of the greatest evidences that there is a God.
No, I thought we found the missing link.
Yeah, I'm it.
This has to be divine.
Saiz says all the time, if you're not sure there's a God, look at me.
How many times if you say.
I'll change that.
You say, if you're doubting there's a God, look at my daughter.
Yeah.
No, because I'm with the crowd, like 10,000 people, y'all.
I'm speaking to him.
And I said, hey, look, everybody close their eyes.
I said, now, and clear your mind.
I said, close your eyes and clear your mind.
I said, now, open them, and I said, and really look at this old man and known as Uncle Si.
Yeah.
I said, because, hey, a lot of you have a problem.
It's called shock and all.
I said, a lot of you have a problem with the word religion,
and I don't blame you because the world has taken the word religion,
and it's non-existence anymore.
Yeah.
I said, but y'all need to look at me.
I said, because I'm living proof that there is the fathers, the son, the Holy Spirit,
and look, all three of them are alive and well and doing the most amazing things.
Yeah.
would the most unlikely person in the world.
Yeah.
Sure is truly.
So I'll be honest with you for a while.
I just assumed that health insurance is one of those things you just don't question.
You know, you pick a plan, you pay the bill and you move on.
But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that really doesn't align with how I want to leave my family.
And it was incredibly expensive.
And that's when my family and I started looking into Christian healthcare ministries.
CHM, it's a Christian alternative to health insurance that cost about half of the traditional market
place plans. And yes, the savings are real. And we've definitely felt that in our monthly budget.
But what really mattered to me was that this is a nonprofit ministry. So I'm not paying into some
company's profit margin. I'm actually joining a community of believers who share each other's
medical burdens financially and also in prayer. And there's also real freedom too. You know,
we're not stuck in a limited network. We can choose the doctor, the surgeon, the hospital that actually
makes sense for us. CHM offers four flexible, low-cost programs for every state.
your life and you can enroll or switch anytime without waiting on open enrollment. And with
CHM's care solutions, you get access to virtual visits as well, prescription savings, surgery,
support, and more. You know, being a part of a community of believers when it comes to providing
health care for my family, it really did change the way that I view health care. And I was
extremely surprised about the cost difference. So why limit yourself for no reason? Make the switch
before getting locked into another insurance plan. Start today by visiting

If you ask me, I said, hey, I've told people all the time, no, look, I'm uneducated,
redneck country pumpkin.
And I said, now, see, I said, you don't understand.
I said, it's bad enough being just a redneck country.
pumpkin. But then you throw it uneducated. I said, you've just tripped. And I said, and you fell into
the twilight zone. I don't know what that means. Now, I want to say this. I'm very close to
both the size kids and their families. And so Scott, on the other hand, his son is a mini-me.
Career military. I mean, he's so much like Si, when I talked to him, it just, it,
It cracks me up.
Who is this?
Scott, your son.
Okay.
Well, no, he's a clone.
Yeah, he's a little clone.
He's a mini-mee.
So definitely, however, the bloodline worked there, the DNA.
I'm not sure.
But I love what he's doing now.
He's doing some, he's being trained for some horse therapy.
He was, he was career military, but Scott was deployed, I think, four times in the Middle East.
And, I mean, just saw some really rough stuff.
You know, that's that whole era of his time as a soldier, some of the
rough as ones. I know a lot of you guys listening served during that era, and it was a lot of
tough stuff. And so he found a horse therapy, which is a big thing in counseling now, which is
really, really good. And so he's being trained in that, which I'm super excited about his future.
Yeah, we spend a lot of people.
Actually, you know, because I ask you, when they come to visit me in Thanksgiving this year,
they was talking about it and said, well, you know, Marshall says it's where I work.
is what's making me have regular episodes with my PTSD.
He struggles with PTSD.
And I said, well, here's the thing.
I said, what would you like to do?
And he said, well, we're thinking about it because we've been doing part of it.
And he said, I've got to go to class and all this stuff for education.
He said, I want food with horses.
He's doing the training.
And he's doing.
He's doing great.
So I ask him when he comes in,
I said, okay, here's the bottom line.
I said, has this really helped you already?
He said, oh, yeah.
He says, you know, the episodes started just going away.
Yeah.
And he said, I was having them every two weeks.
I was going through something.
And it was the stupid machinery where he works.
Yeah, it's amazing what can triggered.
And so I was telling them when he and I first talked about it,
we had about two-hour conversation.
And I got a friend of mine who has, he's in,
the Nashville area, but he's out of Nashville, about an hour. But he has a horse farm that he bought,
and he's a counselor. That's what he's a therapist. And he has a whole thriving business.
There are a lot of people with addiction, all kinds of PTSD. And the horses are part of the
whole therapy. And there's something about them. We've talked before on the podcast about,
or maybe it was the Hillsdale podcast. We were talking about animals in relationship to human beings.
There's something about that way back from the beginning in the garden. You remember how the
relationships were and then they changed because of sin and because of what happened.
But there's some connections.
We see it with dogs for sure.
Horses are the same way.
And there's a way, there's a connection that God has made in there.
And they can help.
And I have some friends of mine that use their dogs in therapy.
Well, I look at that dog will come over like when a person's like really going through
something.
That dog will come over and just lay their head down on their, I mean, how does that dog know
that person is?
because I put, I put this, I always look and say this kind of thing.
It's like mom.
Okay, there's nothing like a mom.
No matter what you do, okay, she's Godlike in a way.
She still loves you and she still puts up with you.
Unconditional love.
Unconditional.
Yeah, it just don't make it different.
I think it's the moral background.
It's like the last line of defense.
Well, no, no, because that's why when Satan attacks.
the family unit.
Yeah.
Who do you go for?
Okay.
That's the reason he did it.
Yeah.
There's a, there's a,
unspeakable bond that it can't be broken.
Mm-hmm.
Okay, and the Almighty knows that.
That's why he put it in us like,
like we are, why we're made the way we are.
Yeah.
Oh, I agree.
It makes you wonder why he decided to enter,
I'm talking about the crime.
created the universe to the earth via a mom.
A mother's womb.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Even his son was born of a woman.
That's right.
Okay.
That's Galatian.
And that was a miraculous arrival.
Yeah.
Okay.
Because there was no sex involved.
Yeah.
Okay.
You sound like your brother Phil now.
Well, well, no, because, well, Phil, you know, Phil used to ask you
him, okay, hey, what is, you know, like, he did it with Philip's dad.
You know, when Philip couldn't talk to his dad, he needed to talk to him.
He would never, would never listen to it.
And he wanted that film.
He said, well, what do I need to tell it?
He said, here's what you do, Mac.
You just ask him, hey, what are you going to say at your funeral?
And his dad, whoa, y'all.
And after that, he sat down and talk to him about it.
Yeah, that's a great way.
That's a great way to put it.
Yeah.
When I'm standing over your casket.
Yeah, what do you want me to say?
Yeah.
When I'm standing over your casket, looking at your body that we're fixed to put in the ground,
what do you want me to say about you?
And it's a good way, you know, to break the idea.
I used to say that in my sermons when I preached at WFR.
I would say, look, I'm looking out here over this group of people.
You realize I'm going to be the one speaking at your funeral.
What am I going to say?
Well, that's the thing.
People don't think about it, y'all.
Because anytime you see somebody
and you've known them for 20 years' sake.
And then all of a sudden,
this worthless, useless, useless human being
becomes a superstar of helping everybody he can help.
And before, he didn't give a flip about nobody,
not even himself.
Well, what made that drastic change happen?
He had to come up on something that changed him.
Yeah.
Because he was useless before.
I agree.
If you was honest and asked him, he would tell you, no, I'm a horrible human being.
Get away from me.
That's why I brought up the spirit of God.
No, no.
That's why I'm saying God puts in man.
Okay, because sometimes always just, it just amazes me how high we can really fly.
Oh, I agree.
And then go the other way.
how low we can get to and how sorry we can become.
You just described the study of First John and one side just did it one state.
That's what it is.
What changes a person, a human being from being a just totally worthless to the person you see
and that you admire and strive to become like?
Yeah.
Because all you ever see this person do is he's serving everything,
everywhere he goes, he's a servant.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And see, that's the thing about Jesus.
You would think the king of king and lord of lords would come.
Nobody would expect him to be a servant.
Yeah.
But he said it.
We actually talked about that on last podcast.
And he came down just for that reason.
I didn't come to be served.
Yeah.
But to serve and give my life as a ransom for me.
Well, it's like I always say, if you help somebody, you get more out of it than they do.
You may not realize it, but really, the truth is you do get more out of it if you serve.
Yeah.
Well, there's no doubt.
Because it teaches you something nobody else has got because they won't serve.
Yeah.
Well, that's what real love is.
You know, there's different words for love in the Greek language,
but that agape is that unselfish, sacrificial, others first acts.
No, no, because like in the military, I always looked at it, you know,
and said, okay, we're even studying or asked, okay, what is, you know, what,
just give me a great leader.
and then you ask okay well what what made him great leader well he was always the last one to stop
yeah it's the way i look at he was always the last one to lead the job yeah well i get he was always the
first one when somebody needed help he's there yeah to be a great leader you've got to be able to
well, you care about people.
And you always put their needs above your needs.
Yeah, that's why, hey, we're back to Anna.
I never finished that story.
But she didn't say a whole lot,
but she's first one to arrive, last one to leave,
did her job.
And so what she does to get this king cake is she waits in lunch.
You have to go there at daylight.
They only do this about four times a year.
I think there's four different holidays that they make king cakes.
So like if you try to...
And this is the main season is Mardi Gras.
I don't know about Mare.
I mean, I think they're equally like, so they do Easter, Mardi Gras, Christmas.
There's another one in there somewhere.
And so, and they just make what they make.
And you've got to be there at daylight, standing in line.
So she'll make a certain number of cakes and sell them and then it's over.
Oh, that's over.
Yeah.
And then you got other people who are getting in line buying like 30 of them and then selling them for twice as much.
Oh, it's just infuriating.
I mean, she told me that.
I mean, she's not infuriated by it.
She's like, yeah, I mean, like the person in front of me got 32.
Like, what are you going to do with 32 king cakes?
Yeah, go sell them.
Well, you're going to go sell them.
Yeah, you're going to sell them.
Capitalism.
Make your own.
start your own is it so anyway she so she'll stand in line and of course i pay i pay her for them
but still i don't ask her to do it she just she said she does she said last night she said
tomorrow's the last day for king cakes i'm gonna go get jason she asked me what time the podcast
started i just always marvel because i'm just like that's just the way she is she's a servant
you know she takes care of mom you know that's her main job i opened that door and she was
standing there with a candy cake i thought now we're talking
So I said, I'll hook you up later.
But on the horse thing, I want to read this because I use this in a lot of my speeches.
Because people are sitting there thinking, well, I bet this is going to be good.
Some guy at Duck Dynasty, I'm being sarcastic.
But I'll read this every once in a while because like you saw,
we're stereotyped into not being very smart.
So I just lay this out there.
This is Proverbs 21.
And you can share this with Scott because there's an angle in here.
There's no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.
So he's setting himself apart.
Let me just think how much of a blanket statement that is.
There's no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed, succeed against the Lord.
Then the next verse, Proverbs 21, 31, the horse, is made really.
ready for the day of battle.
Because evidently there's some, there's some therapy going on.
It's not just about the horse being in the battle.
The horse is made ready.
There's, for what you're fixed to encounter.
But the victory rests with the Lord.
Well, that's the one about the battle belongs to the Lord.
That's right.
So there's something.
You're not going to beat me, okay, because you're not really fighting me.
well exactly you're fighting the one that made me that's right you keep quoting things in first john
that we've been going over so john i mean uh sigh did a little study he said and you you read first john
right i don't even know how to pronounce the word but somewhere well sai you made a living over not being
able to pronounce words no no it was greek i know that it was greek okay but the translation is it's special
I can't even think of order now.
Oh, knowledge.
Special knowledge.
Special knowledge.
Okay.
Here's the thing.
If you go to Romans 1, it tells you there, okay.
First, it says, okay, you cannot please God without faith.
Because you've got to have faith that he does exist and you diligently seek him.
That's Hebrews 11-1.
No.
But the special knowledge, okay, I look at it and I say, well, now I've done.
always asked the question, why ain't people beating the doors down to get into Jesus Christ?
Well, they don't have the special knowledge is what I've come up with.
Al, you came up with this. You can't find this? I don't know. I don't know. It's not in your notes.
You sure you're reading it? Oh yeah, it was on the paperwork, on the bottom of the paper. Well, I didn't read the notes.
But anyway, you know, now I know why they are not tearing the door.
down to get in.
Okay, because they don't have the special knowledge.
And guess what?
Yeah.
He's holding up a Bible.
This is a treasure chest.
Ah.
And hey, and guess what?
All the special knowledge is right here.
Yeah.
Written by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus left the word left heaven and become flesh,
and he was full of two things.
Truth and grace.
Mm-hmm.
Okay, everybody knows what truth,
but give me the definition of grace.
Grace is to receive what you don't deserve.
What you have no.
That's exactly what I was going to say.
Yeah, okay.
I think that's a very definition.
He's going to in further than this treasure chest, it tells you if you know the truth,
the truth will set you free.
You know, and this goes along with everything John is talking about because John is the book of love.
I agree with that.
Okay.
It's also the book of love.
light and life.
Well, no, no.
And then, you know, that's why when y'all said, the fountain of youth, this treasure chest talks about eternity.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Well, hey, I think let's see eternity.
There's no beginning and there's no end.
Really?
Yeah.
I mean, it's like what you were telling us before we started, because someone, someone,
Which we kind of buried the lead.
So I moved into our neighborhood, and neither one of us knew it until.
And how long have you been in our neighborhood?
All about a week ago.
Okay, this is the second time we moved.
You didn't think I'm going to let my family know that I'm moving into their neighborhood?
Well, I just feel.
I don't have fake stuff like that.
I did.
I've been driving right by your house.
I did have an eerie feeling like I was being watched.
We've been in like three days over there.
We were.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, y'all were like somewhere in downtown.
Yeah, we were on hilltop.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Well, the reason I brought it up is because evidently you had a mold specialist.
Yeah.
Come to your house.
And I've had one at my house, which is, we found this out this one.
We were breaking this down before we started the podcast.
Because a guy comes in, because they smell this odor, right?
Yeah, Christine said, hey, this house.
Dink.
Now, I thought it was the ice valleys that had.
We just had an ice storm.
And Saiz said, oh, I never even lost electricity.
Yeah, he was down south.
He didn't have a house.
I wasn't even there.
I was in another house.
Really?
And then, yeah, because I moved in another house.
Well, guess what?
The power was out in that house, too.
So I ended up living with those people.
He must be rolling.
You've got houses all over the place.
No, no, yeah.
Besides a famous man.
So anyway, I thought, I wasn't sure this mold specialist were selling truth because
Sye said, you know, he told me that he looked at the mold,
and then he looked at you and said, look, I'm pretty sure you only
have two years to live.
If you stayed in this house.
If you stay in this house.
But I'm like, what kind of guy who comes inspects your house gives you an expiration date?
He didn't do it today.
He just said that sometime later.
But I'm just saying, anybody that looks at side might say, you know, say you got maybe two years.
That's what I thought.
I thought he looked at you.
He don't know me because, hey, my goal is he hit 100.
Okay.
So, I know.
I got 20 years.
I just thought that was weird.
I'm going to celebrate the day.
You at least hit 80 because when that happens,
you will be the longest living Robertson sibling of the 7th.
But my point of,
Ball had made 94.
Yeah.
Well, I meant her kids.
Because dad made it to 79,
and that's been the oldest up to now.
So you've got to top that record.
You've got to get past it.
Well, I brought it up because I'm saying this,
that's where you should have launched into your no beginning, no end.
I'm in the eternal.
life.
You're just about ready to take off.
No, no, no, but hey, back to the special knowledge that you've discovered in the Bible.
Hey, if you don't have it, hey, you don't have nothing.
But look, Jay's just made the same discovery as you made yesterday.
We were recording podcasts that I guess would have been the last podcast we did.
Because how many times that you may know, special knowledge?
It was two dozen.
Yeah, two dozen times.
Two dozen in First John.
It said, I'm writing this so that you may know.
There's your special no.
Then it would fill in the blank.
Well, no.
I mean, Cy, it's so many times that it's like, the one I know off the top of my head.
Look, 1st John 316.
This is how we know what love is.
Jesus Christ laid down his life for us and we ought to lay down our lives for each other.
was his enemy.
That's right.
Romans 5.
While we were still enemies,
Christ laid down his life for us.
Hey, that's the greatest leader that it is.
Yeah.
Okay.
What did you just say he did?
Hey, he loved me, okay?
When I was at my worst,
I was his worst enemy.
Yeah.
And he still said, hey, go over and sit.
down on that big oak tree I created
while I take care of your sin and crave
problem and he did
it by no one took
Jesus' life
no one oh he gave it
he literally
he gave it John 10
it was personal I think I'll quote
that verse more than he knew he knew your name
for crying out loud
yeah so look
hey 1st John 413
this is how we know
that we live in him
and he and us because he has given us his spirit.
I mean, it's just, it's just filled.
It is filled with this is how we know.
But I was just saying about when you were describing that.
So you spent a career in the United States Army, a part of our military,
and the thing about the United States military from the beginning of our country,
the idea is as we get into skirmishes, whether it's around the world or whatever,
by sheer force, I mean, shock and all, overwhelming force is how you have to, how an enemy will then submit to you for whatever reason, whether there's ideology, problem, whatever.
So the idea is by sheer force is how we have to do that in a military situation.
That's the difference between an earthly kingdom and the heavenly kingdom, because the heavenly kingdom, people fully submit themselves.
it's not by sheer force
it's simply by submission and sacrifice of God
that we then bend our knees
think about it it's not force
God doesn't come in and say you have to follow me
because most people get mad
okay and they blame
all the evil stuff that happens
they put that on God's plate
when it's not
that's true
back on the on the special
knowledge.
Knowledge.
Okay.
That's like, you know,
if you don't know about God,
his son, and the Holy Spirit,
I say it all the time.
If you don't know the Creator,
you don't know nothing,
you're never going to mount to nothing.
Okay, because all your life is a gift, okay?
But going back with the special knowledge, okay?
Jesus talks about how you're supposed to be living water.
Springs of it are living in you.
And you're supposed to share that with every human being you come in contact to.
So he can get in on all this blessings.
Yeah.
That's why I said if you don't know Jesus, the creator, you really don't.
You don't know nothing.
You're never going to be nothing because you don't even know who.
how all this got here.
Right.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah.
And God gave you a brain, and he gave you common sense.
You should ask yourself, you know, being a human being, you know,
where did all this wonderful stuff come from that I have at my disposal?
Well, I think the problem is those people, they know that if they read this or they pursue this,
they're going to have to make some changes.
And so you get into that.
It's like I remember I had an argument over 1st, Corinthians 15 about this verse,
and I'm going to read it where it says, because the problem was this person's life
was not reflecting God.
Which is another theme in 1st John consistent.
Right, yeah, because it's like, well, if you claim to be in fellowship with the father and the son, the Holy Spirit, and it's more than fellowship, we research that word.
It's a participation.
It's a partnership.
Divine partnership.
You not only have got to talk to talk, then you've actually got to live it and walk it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I brought up the point about, you know, the resurrection, because that's kind of where we are in first.
John 3, when it says, you know, we're children of God and what we will be has not been made known.
This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are.
There's this how we know.
Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God, nor is anyone who does not love his brother.
So thanks, so thanks, there's the song.
You know, if you don't know love, okay, you know.
You don't know God.
Right.
Because God is love.
He is.
But the point I was making in verse 2 of chapter 3 when it says,
now we are children of God and what we will be has not yet been made known,
but we know that when he appears, we shall be like him.
That's all I need to know.
That's the Perusia.
That's all I need to know.
If I'm like him, I'm good to go.
Indestructible
He was eating fish
Walking through walls
Indestructible life, son
That's what he's
He controlled space
Without any kind of mechanical device
Dimensional doors
Walk in a room
Without walking through the door
Look he levitated not to travel
Just because he could
He didn't
That's why I said
Okay we don't know what we're going to be like
But then they
Here's a little key phrase
But we will be like him
Wait a minute.
He like, who?
The world's most interesting man is not the man drinking the Dosekis.
It's the man that levitated out of it.
But here's my point.
Look, here's my point.
This is talking about the resurrection.
This is us being resurrected like Jesus.
But look, then he starts talking about everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself.
So there's a connection with sin and death.
nobody has a problem with that.
It's all through the Bible.
It's like you sin, you die.
It starts off right in Genesis 3.
But then all of a sudden we get to Christianity
and we try to separate the cross and the resurrection.
We're like, well, the cross is all about sins.
You can't separate it?
And here's my point, because this person I was talking to
his life was right, was like, well, I realized Jesus died from my sins.
And I'm like, well, it's bigger than that.
Yeah.
What do you?
And the guy got offended.
And so now we're having an argument, which I'm going to tell you, if your life is a mess and
you're out doing a lot of vile, sinful things, to me, you should be disqualified from
then having a theological discussion about the special knowledge.
But anyway, that's another point.
That's a Kellis story.
He said they used to sit around the back of the truck drinking, arguing whether you could
have an instrument at church or not.
It's like, we had no right to have this argument.
I have these discussions all the time.
So look, but this, and a mentor of mine brought this same point up, which I found hilarious.
But I always read this in 1st Corinthians 15 because it doesn't seem to go with the narrative that a lot of religious people believe.
I'm going to have to find it.
But it says, yeah, no, here it is.
First Corinthians, 15 in verse 17.
says, and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile.
And watch this phrase.
Which is true.
Now, he's talking about the resurrection.
Yeah.
I mean, everybody knows First Corinthians 15 is highlighting the resurrection.
And then it says, so if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile, and you are still in your sins.
What's you bringing up sins for with the resurrection?
And so this fella, he's like, is that what it said?
And so look, so here's the next line.
You ready for this?
Well, Paul got that wrong.
And what I should have said, which is what I brought up my mentor about this,
is because I heard him say this one time, he said,
Paul is never wrong.
He's never wrong because he's inspired.
That's right.
The Holy Spirit said it.
Yeah, the Holy Spirit.
But my whole point for bringing this up is sometimes when your life is not reflecting,
what you know to be right.
You will actually look at this knowledge and just say,
not right, not right.
That's the point I'm trying to make with this special...
Knowledge.
Knowledge.
So you brought this up and you can't remember.
Well, no, no, but I'm just saying,
because, hey, if you don't have the special knowledge,
you're lost.
Yeah.
And now I understand it when I preach to somebody,
and it goes in this ear
and it calls out the other one
and he didn't get the substance
of what was said.
Yeah.
But you made a really strong point earlier
I want to reference back to that.
You mentioned common sense
and you could equate common sense
to me with conscience,
which everybody has one.
You can sear it,
you can cover over it,
you can ignore it.
If you're doing something
and it hit you and you know it,
You know.
You know it's wrong.
And that's why people have an understanding.
They know about sin and death, even in their own life.
You do the wrong thing consistently.
You're going to pay the consequence.
And it could be eating too much.
It could be drinking too much.
It could be whatever.
That's where people have a problem.
Okay.
There's so many sins, okay, that people don't even know.
One is, hey, what you say can be sin.
Oh, exactly.
And be as destructive.
is anything else you could do to somebody.
So you know that there are consequences that happen.
So the question is, what are you going to do with that?
Because even if you don't even know anything about God, you're not sure about it, you don't trust, you don't, you know, I don't know about all that God stuff.
But what about, why is that inside of you saying, this doesn't feel right?
You know, you know, it's wrong.
You know it's wrong.
Yeah.
And that's why when he said that about that when you do what is right, and that really becomes the whole thing is, is, am I doing the right?
thing or am I not?
The Bible even has verses that says that people do things, they don't have the Bible,
but yet they do things that are right.
Yeah.
Well, why do they do it?
Hey, because God put it in you.
That's right.
Remember Dad used to, remember Dad used to say, said, you know, people didn't even know about the Bible,
somewhere, some small place and somewhere around the world.
Why did they sneak in at night to steal the horses?
No, no.
Why are they doing it?
There's a cover of darkness.
Why were they so stealthy about stealing or about this?
Or why did they not want somebody to know they're visiting somebody else's hut?
And the thing is, because there's right and there's wrong.
And God put in us because we're made in his image, this moral compass to make the right decision or the wrong decision.
And if the right one is to choose him or not to choose him, I mean.
Well, I go back to what I said about Jesus.
He came to earth full of two things.
Grace and truth.
Truth and grace.
And hey.
That's John won like 16 or 17.
And hey, and guess what?
We need both of them.
Yep.
Oh, it's more than need both of them.
Got to have them both.
It's vital.
So let me define this special knowledge for you
because I've just been reading while you were talking.
So in 1st John 2, he says in verse 3,
we know that we have come to know him
if we obey his commands.
The man who says,
I know him,
but doesn't do what he says is a liar.
And the truth is not in him.
So hold on.
So that's knowing him.
He's like, because people say, well, I know him.
Well, then 1st John 3, which we just read,
but verse 6 says no one who lives in him
keeps on the practice of sinning.
No one who continues to practice sin has either seen him or known him.
So then when he gets to chapter 5, last verse before the Keep Yourself and Models.
We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding.
There's your special.
Because why?
But what is it?
So that we may know him.
The special knowledge is that you know a person.
because once you get to know God, you realize that he knows you.
Well, because Jesus even said,
well, those that have come to him and say,
Lord, we've done this and done this.
He said, I never knew you.
Yeah.
Well, think about Second Thessalonian.
Just because you know him.
Yeah.
No, no.
It goes deeper and further than that.
Exactly.
You've got to have a relationship with him,
and that relationship as his.
What is his commands to you?
What are you supposed to?
be doing. Are you doing what Jesus told you to do? Well, just think about the most scary passage in the
New Testament, I would argue, maybe besides Matthew 23 when Jesus lit up the Pharisees. But when
2nd Thessalon is one, he says, this will happen when the Lord God is revealed from heaven in blazing fire.
he will punish those who do not know God.
Well, no, no, because that's why I got on a kick about, okay, do you know the man?
Yeah, well, that's a good kick to be on because First John's...
Well, no, no, because see, you know, people talk about it, and I said, well, wait a minute, hold it.
Is Jesus referred to himself like over a hundred times as the son of man?
Yeah.
He must have did it for a very important reason.
I think so.
Because most people I get mad when they tell me.
They said, well, if he was the son of God, he didn't feel any of that.
All the stuff they'd done to him.
I said, dude, you missed the whole point of what was said.
Yeah.
Yeah, I agree.
He became a man.
It was the son of God.
Yeah.
But he was a human being just like that.
me with one big difference.
He was sinless.
That's right.
In other words, he was perfect, and hey, and this perfect man could raise dead people.
Yeah.
That's why all I had to read was when you said, oh, we don't know what we're going to be like,
but we do know this.
We will be just like him.
Exactly.
Resurrection.
Next time you get in this argument.
I'm all in.
love the next time you get in this argument you go to the first sermon preach after Jesus was raised by Peter
and he said men of Israel listen to this Jesus of Nazareth was a man
accredit oh but but watch accredited by god to you by miracles wonders and signs which god
did among you through him as you yourselves know he got the holy spirit and he started doing all this stuff
But listen to the next verse.
This man.
Yeah.
Son of man.
Yeah.
This man was handed over to you by God's set purpose and for knowledge,
and you with the help of wicked men put him to death by nail him to the cross.
But God raised him from the dead.
What about that, son?
He called him a man twice.
You could stop right there.
And again, I raised my hand.
I'm all in.
Hey, you can call me a Jesus freak.
I am.
And I ask you, hey, here's one of the prayers I say daily.
Lord, when it comes to it, if somebody puts a 357 magnum to my head and says, hey, you've got two choices.
You're going to say that Jesus was not who he was or I'm going to blow your head off.
I said, pull the trigger six times, baby, because, hey, I know the man that can raise me right back.
You know the funny part of that story is the reason he says pull it six times
because he's got such a hard man.
But it takes six to penetrate.
It takes six to go through.
So,
we always have fun with you on Unashamed.
So what do we call it?
What's the new name for when Cy comes on?
What are we called it?
The insanity.
No, it rhymes.
Insane.
Insane.
Insane.
But, unshame.
That's it.
Insane.
I'm insane about Jesus.
And, hey.
Here's the deal.
And I am not ashamed of it, baby.
Insane, but unashamed.
Because, hey, here's the deal.
Because one of these days, I'm going to be just like him.
Just a little pitty-pottie here.
It's going to go on the ground.
It's going to rot and disappear.
But, hey, when the time comes, the Lord's going to put it all back together.
And then me and him are heading out of here.
I thought you had fixed to go.
Bam.
And it's going to like, whoa!
We're going.
Insane out of shame.
We're out of time.
We're out of time.
We're out of time.
I can't believe it.
Here's what you get out of this podcast today.
Okay.
Special knowledge.
We're trying to make a point.
It's who you know.
It's who you know.
We're still looking for the who you know.
Hey, it ain't what you know.
It's who you know.
Do you know?
I got one question as you.
Do you know the man?
His name is Jesus.
He come from Nazareth.
He was a Jew.
He was a carpenter's son.
But he was also the son of the Almighty.
And everything God the father's got, he inherits it.
And guess what?
I'm getting my share of it, baby
you own some king cake
you own some king cake now
what about that, man
that's right
