Starting point is 00:01:57 Here we go Oh Take it Lee It's the church bitches Where those motherfucking dears uncle Joey here Letting you motherfuckers know what time it is. We had a good time The other night with action Bronson my throat is still fucking sore My throat was sore when I came back from San Francisco
Starting point is 00:02:34 Then I teamed up with that animal in between the fucking papers and the fucking blood fucking Bongets I lost my voice some bad, but who gives a shit you lose it. You'll find it's like a fucking nickel. You know what I'm saying? Lisa yeah, it's here. I actually saw a pretty interesting story about like there's a voice coach who specializes in scream rock and She was saying like they were they had a few of the musicians on saying how they were losing their voice every show and this like Teacher looking all like if she looks like my mom is teaching these people how to like instead of straining it They're like vibrating their vocal chords so they can sing all day and they can sing for tours now Well, there's a whole you know thing that goes at that all those singers Yeah, I have like some type of coach and they do warm-ups and they wrap their throat with a fucking scarf
Starting point is 00:03:26 There's a bunch of shit you got to do When you're a singer, you know when you're on tour and you're making that type of paper and you know You can't cancel shows you could strain your fucking throat and shit and most those people do Whenever I hear stuff like that whenever they say like oh, there's no cure for the cold But then there's a a show or a movie and that you hear they get like and they you can get a shot Like this stuff you can do to get rid of the flu. I just don't think it's available to everyone Like like if you had a movie, don't they have special shots that will get you through it or I don't know I figured I don't know
Starting point is 00:03:59 They give you like vitamin D Renee as strata's in the house here. What's up, ladies and gentlemen fucking train over at what's the place fast, which fast Which Donna black house, okay, so it's down in Huntington Beach. No, we're down in we're right outside of the South Bay area We're in a gardena. So right off the highway little hidden warehouse. It's a pro only facility So we got all our UFC guys by the tour Anderson's in there's two from time to time still stopping his head in there But man, we're building up a dope team. We got our whole under armor facility there in the back So we're making everything man back to what he used to be building up a team and not paying people to be there Bro, everybody who works there works their ass off. It's a whole team like it's a whole different thing
Starting point is 00:04:40 We're trying to do we're trying to build like the first real pro MMA team to where everybody's like contributing and not just You know paying people to be there or just bringing in their own training partners like no We have our each coaches. We have our wrestling coach We have a more tight coach and then we have me doing strength and conditioning So it's like how many strength and conditioning guys don't have just me right now Just me running the show right now. How many guys do you work with a day a day? Fighters anywhere from five to twelve of our guys. We we sponsor our guys. We take care of them we work with some guys individually and then I have we're open to the public as far as like regular
Starting point is 00:05:17 Clients or executive clients. I'm training some of the USC football guys things like that So it's the strength and conditioning is open to everyone and then the whole MMA side is our pro only team So it's not like we have classes going on or anything like that So it's it's it's pretty secluded. It's cool man because there's some cool stuff that goes on there That you know, you don't necessarily see out of the gyms, you know what I mean? Like even today man, just the type of shit that's going on when those animals throw down You got Joe Bann Kevin Casey Tony Ferguson all those motherfuckers in there So is it hard for a fighter to get a camp like a like if there's like a young up-and-coming fighter right now
Starting point is 00:05:50 How do you get into a camp exactly? So that's the thing we have Well, we have we have an amateur program to where people man like we make it affordable for people man We make you know like a hundred a hundred fifty bucks a month. They come in they wrestle They train with our guys not during our pro session But like when our guys come in and three o'clock in the afternoon They work with our coaches and then they develop up but even our pro fighters we have it so that we're giving them everything They get taking care of strength training. They get taking care of on the mats that we have we have therapy for them, too So we get all that shit taking care of fight contracts all that stuff. So we have an acupuncture down. Um, we do we do
Starting point is 00:06:26 Now somebody comes to you and they said I just want to work out What's the between getting shape and strength and conditioning? I mean, there's a big difference just the way that we look at things we look at the individual It's not just like oh, I'm training a football player. I'm training somebody like yourself So what we do is we put somebody through an evaluation We put we get all their measurements all the bar measurements all that stuff and then we have them go through a session We see where they're strong where they're weak what their goals are like what are you actually trying to do? Are you trying to be you know an nfl top lineman?
Starting point is 00:06:57 Are you trying to be a pitcher throwing 95 miles an hour? Are you just a regular executive client that you want to train at six in the morning and you have your own thing going on? So like we take what the individual wants and what are the actual like data of what's going on with their body and whatnot And adjusting it to the person so we take data-driven shit and put it towards the actual the actual program So it's not like oh this person's doing that same. They're not fitting into the fast-twitch program I always knew that I work like that, but let's pretend I'm uh Let me see I'm trying to find the example for you. Let's pretend I'm Georgia George Mazdoval. I'm fighting uh
Starting point is 00:07:38 Johnny Jiu-Jitsu. What's his name? Damien Mayer. Yeah, okay You're gonna look at him. You're gonna look at Maya's strengths You're gonna look at his weaknesses. And you're gonna look at Maya's weaknesses and try to strengthen Georgia's Yeah, so especially for individual fighters for like a camp for a specific type scenario like that Especially for some guys training for the combine shit like that like yeah, we get it specifically for that So like if we know Maya's gonna be more under Jiu-Jitsu more stuff So we're gonna be doing like bear crawls with weighted vests pushing the sled more more things dragging him out
Starting point is 00:08:09 Putting him in more of those situations that they're going to be dealing with in the actual fight Yeah, so I just wanted to ask you Working out and strengthening conditioning. I had Last year I used to go to Higgin two years ago And he had a brown belt there and he'd say come work with me at this gym Just so happened that the fucking gym was what's his name is Jim? The guy from the UFC that that the Little ball had to do these on him. He does the football too. Yeah, he does football too college football. He's from jersey
Starting point is 00:08:40 Sweetheart of a guy. He owns the gym with the old linebacker in the chicago beds Urlacker, yeah, oh So it's brian urlacker and It's it's it's a sideline announcer from the nfo. Yeah, he's a little ball had a guy I'm fucking you guys don't know especially you don't know i'm talking about He does the ufc with like on saturdays. He sits with them and he's a little chubby Bald with a mustache and shit. I forget what the fuck I'm looking up before I shoot myself
Starting point is 00:09:14 I don't watch that team type that much tv bro. So that's that's the one thing. I watch the laser Unbreakable. Oh unbreakable. Okay. Yeah, I know that that's where he did There's jiu-jitsu things, you know the guy was cool And then one day he told me He was broke and he wanted to borrow two thousand dollars when he gave me a come on girls a scam Then the other day I go up there to work out and bring me a contract for me to sign To join unbreakable for like 300 a month. I'm like dog You told me to come up here and fuck around with you when he didn't show up
Starting point is 00:09:45 And now you want me to I mean, it was just fucking crazy But I was watching what they were doing And it fucking blew my mind like they had to do from the giants in the old del beckon wasn't it? And I was watching like as I was getting dressed making believe it was real slow Because fat people take a long time It takes me like 10 minutes to put my belt around my waist and shit the beginning when I'm not when I'm not cold When I'm cold and I got thrown around I can't reach at the end of the class I could throw my hand all the way around to put your belt on before you put the pants on
Starting point is 00:10:16 Put it on the pants That's what I don't put it through when you're standing out. That's like a that's like a A Yeah What the fuck is wrong with you? So when I'm cold, I can't rip my arm around my shoulder once I get warm at the end of class You got to see me. I'm like a fucking octopus But I would go in there and I'd watch what they do and it was pretty mind boggling
Starting point is 00:10:41 like how much you know in the In the 80s I had a friend of mine that was a strength and conditioning coach for the olympics And I watched what they were doing in the 80s. They were doing great stuff But everybody was kind of doing the same thing. So if I came into the gym, you came into the gym Beggy came into the gym The workout was on the wall
Starting point is 00:11:02 It wasn't really specialized. There's still a lot of places like that, man. You'd be surprised and now it's evolved like so much You know, I turned leon to this guy dave. Oh, that was fucking great. He was a great dude the kettlebell Oh, that's when you guys were doing the kettlebells and it was a fireman and he you know He just really and I believe I'm like you listen. I like the guys that go to uh Boston college And take kinesiology And they do the other thing that you study for sports management. No the other one
Starting point is 00:11:35 exercise science Or you have to walk downstairs and see a cadaver for breakfast Science can you see this all the same shit? Yeah, that's all great But I like the guy that did it did it and did it I've always been one of those guys I like the school book guy when I first met lee first time I met lee the first thing I said to him was we were shooting something I believe Whatever you learned to them some college
Starting point is 00:11:57 Throw it away because I don't want it around here Because if not, we're all gonna look like we're shooting the same fucking shit. Yeah, and it's so weird how With what you guys do, you know I'm stoned. I forgot what the fuck Well, no, no, I get it. I get what you're saying like it's um It's a whole it's a whole different thing because at least at least what what we try to do, man It's just it's just like that keep it to yourself My thing is is we're trying to blur the lines a little bit like show people like there's not that much of a difference between
Starting point is 00:12:28 What where you think you're at and where these high level people are like you can get you can get there too It doesn't take like well I gotta show up at 6 a.m. And do all this stuff like no you can do it You're crazy and work and and there's steps to it Man, there's people that you know, they work out once a week and they and then they fuck I'm sore blah blah blah Then they go, you know, take a few days five six days off and then they go to work out again Oh, I'm so so I never get better. I never get better. Man. It's like trying to start the car every single time
Starting point is 00:12:55 Like it's never gonna start up. You got to keep it going Even if it's the most basic things like when I tell people oh, I'm sore. What should I do? Go for a walk, man. Walk on the beach. We live in california Go first do something you gotta move When you're sore the muscle needs blood. You gotta move. It's amazing how many times I'm sore And I go, you know what? I'm gonna do something today I'll go out in the back and I swing back you have to kettlebell do three sets of cleans And I'll punch the bag or something and I feel completely better
Starting point is 00:13:23 Sometimes my knees feel tight. I put fucking ice on them Ah, they feel a little better But I go outside and kick the fucking bag and it loosens all this shit next thing I'm walking tipped out magoo And I believe and give him blood I've always and I learned that when I was 14 from basketball these guys. I know what an injury is I know what an injury is you know what an injury is and you know the dimension of injury And soreness there's some soreness that jesus christ You can't get ready for you know
Starting point is 00:13:54 But I uh you when I first started working out joe you told me like not to overdo it because a lot of bigger people Will do it get really sore never go back I've never really experienced that and I recently went to a gym that I'm not a huge uh the guy's very nice But I'm I'm starting to see why people go and choose different gyms because it's a little bit what you're talking about It's just like The list on the wall. He just kind of like lets you do it and then didn't really He adjusted some things but I was doing he had the rings hanging from the wall And I was doing poles and I literally couldn't move my arms for about four days
Starting point is 00:14:26 Yeah, for sure. No, I understand what you mean like like uh the other day I was I was uh, I had a strength conditioning session with Tony Ferguson And we're just sitting there talking shot man that guy's such a cerebral fighter People don't understand like the type of brain that that guy has like whenever he retires fighting The mind of that guy as a coach and just as an individual is is amazing how he breaks things down And like that it's just there's a lot that goes into being a coach It's not just instructing somebody a do this pick this up put this down Hey, bro, how you feeling today? Hey, what's up? What's up with that thing that I see you walking a little bit different, bro
Starting point is 00:14:56 Oh, I see you arguing with your kids whatever it could be any little thing and you just break that person down The same way you would for anything else and all of a sudden their shoulders relaxed They're telling you about all these different things that they might have not told you about before then they're relaxing Then they're actually doing what you're telling them then they're thinking about what they're doing And it's a whole process man, especially you want somebody to get better and like showing up to you every day And like showing up six in the morning, whatever it is There's a whole process calling people and just saying amen. How you doing, bro? I saw you did this at this event whatever especially now that we have social media
Starting point is 00:15:25 And half the people that are on their phones all the time There's no excuse for you to say no, I didn't see that or not even just you know Just comment say something to somebody and just like it changes their whole mentality and attitude about coming to you And then they actually you know listen to what you're saying when you see the results It's like oh, shit. I had to it's gotta be fun for people. Yeah. I used to walk that park When I used to drop my wife off I would walk and walk that park in the mornings And I would see Three or four personal trainers and it's what lee was just saying
Starting point is 00:15:55 I'm a fucking trainer lee comes in to me with a fucking group on I take a look at lee. I know he's not john muskuler if I walk in there, you know look at me and go He's not john muskuler Let me before I even throw him to the wolves. Let me see what his capacities are Let me see what his capacities are I'm gonna talk to him and tell him that if he does this today. I want to see him For sure on wednesday like what time can you be here wednesday because I do not want you to miss wednesday for this reason And if you saw come, yeah, I'm gonna take care of you. No and then people try to pull the no, I can't pick no
Starting point is 00:16:32 No show show show work it out figure out but I think A lot of people join a gym and they get the free they they tell them you get three free training sessions They don't even test the people to see what they could do form listen bro I'm a fucking animal I don't give a fuck about anything before I do anything and I've always been like that I go to a professional and I go do me a favor I'm gonna learn how to shoot a gun do me a favor you know you could well Joey you're an asshole you could go on YouTube and learn that okay but you
Starting point is 00:17:10 might miss something that you know especially when it comes to your body especially when it comes to deadlifting overhead presses or anything you know it's like we really and I were going to a place and we're swinging 85 fucking pound kettlebells what is the purpose of that I left that thinking one day what was the purpose of that now guess what I can't go to Jiu Jitsu till Monday I can't walk I can't do it the fucking you know let me tell you something the fucking doing comedy it's just as hard as working out that hour on stage with my my gorilla feet a clamping to the ground and shits moving through my
Starting point is 00:17:48 hips this time I go home at night I'm like what the fuck happened tonight I did two fucking shows that's what fucking happened this night I go home bro take a shower drink coffee and do a 30-second stretch while I watch law and honor yeah because I know it's gonna make me feel better the next day or even just laying on the foam roller anything anything it's amazing like now I just don't go to bed no more I take a shower and I take cold water now fucking cold is a motherfucker you know I started off warm so you're not going in there like a penguin and then as you're getting out you fucking every two minutes you just
Starting point is 00:18:24 keep it low low low and by the end it's just a fucking ice ice cubes are coming out you don't even think about it's hitting your back pop pop pop pop pop pop we have our guys do ice baths all the time especially after training we have Kevin Casey and another one of our guys go they grab the ice throw it in there boom that's right everybody at least nine minutes let's go let's go and you just see all the guys going like that man it's so important people don't realize like how much just even taking care of your body does for your mental spirit for and just everything that's going else on around you like even when I first
Starting point is 00:18:55 moved here so I moved from Miami to LA about seven months ago so that first whole transition I was a trainer over there I was working out all the time I came over here I'm like I'm not jet lag it's not gonna bother me I'm gonna be able to work out I'm gonna be able to do all this boom hit me I was just extremely tired just too much then I stopped completely working out cuz I'm like man I got a rest it's just too much and just from the one to two weeks of just like trying to stop everything and like oh let me get my stuff organized just your mentality the way everything goes you start to feel bad about
Starting point is 00:19:24 yourself and what's yeah yeah just not not positive thoughts man and that's the thing even like what you were saying the other day just to go for a walk to walk down the street to just like breathe in the air here just get get away from everything that you do every single day and just be with yourself and your own thoughts and just the most simple thing from going to a walk can turn you know your life into man this walk feels good or whatever it is you think about something boom you're going somewhere else like these things get your mind going to it's not just all I'm working out to work out now man I'm thinking I'm
Starting point is 00:19:54 doing up it's show graph what happens to your mind after 20 minutes of any type of workout what happens to your mind how the blood affects your mind what parts of the brain it goes to you know number two I just I grew up on that thought listen think about something you are who you are who you are we come from Cuban descent that means we were on a fucking island with no palm trees for a long fucking time your grandparents took to the sun with no skin cancer SPF number eight oh that's bullshit Cubans defied it Cubans defied it the ones that you see that are real dark they got no SPF on that side of the island and the
Starting point is 00:20:42 ones that are real light from the one side to the other side it's like a fucking graph like them when you were kidding you got the toaster toaster whatever you wanted and some Cubans that's how you know and this is a joke but it's it's the truth with some people yeah Israel that's a that's a desert ain't it it's a desert but we're all from fucking Russia in the no-sun that's why I get spots in my head that like they're like there's this Israeli people who are from who like grown up there now in their tan like the way they're really tan everyone goes in the army they're badass but like there's Jews there's a lot of Jews like
Starting point is 00:21:18 me here who just but there's Jews who will work out I'm just one of the indoor Jews I was a real tan I was a coke fiend and when you do coke nobody does coke outside so when you tend to do coke after you do coke that same shit that you get on the coke stays you don't want to go outside you're depressed now it's the other side of the coin now you don't want to go outside and I learned from that that just going outside going for a walk no matter how bad I felt about the night before how much I spent I didn't have to rent money all that shit went away when I went for the walk and I could put the pieces together yeah I could make up my
Starting point is 00:22:05 mind and what my next move was from just going on that walk yeah because one minute you're thinking about one thing also in your mind takes you somewhere but you said somewhere we were just sitting early on the couches which I'm a firm believer on I really am like I just did it this last week Becky called me she goes what are you doing in San Francisco you don't work on Sundays how to work on Sundays but I did it for like as soon as I was delayed on Thursday I was like I'm gonna do the show tonight like I'm gonna force myself to do it Sunday the mother playing out the lane it was like I was getting happier and
Starting point is 00:22:38 happy like I was like no I'm gonna force myself to do it Sunday just to see what it felt like and what happened nothing I still came home Monday I missed you just through Monday because I got up too early got up at 5 to catch the plane but I still worked out I felt that jet lag and I go fuck this motherfucking jet lag and I went outside I hit the bag for 20 I did three sets of cleans with cattle bells I did the fucking swings with the bats the whole deal I did sit up some push-ups I let the Sun hit my face and then the last 10 minutes I take my shirt off and let the Sun make get the fucking sweat off my body and that's my
Starting point is 00:23:15 SPF is the fucking fat sweat that comes out you understand me I got to be some fucking coconut oil or something in there to fucking block the Sun have you heard like these people who are waking up it's like a lot of them Navy SEALs wake up at 4 a.m. to work out yeah is that I mean I'm not gonna say it's bad I would never say it's bad but is there like are there benefits it just seems like crazy to me to wake up at 4 a.m. and be doing these crazy workouts I think a lot of people do things like that for the sole purpose of discipline because if you really look at it I mean man it's a whole different time in China we all
Starting point is 00:23:50 got 24 hours in the fucking day right 24 hours don't change it's a different time in China so different time in Portugal it's a different time you know in Miami there's still fucking 24 hours you can work out whenever you want it's like it's just giving yourself the actual breaks in between and that's another thing people don't focus on rest man rest and recovery a lot of people just try to hop into a gym and try to do all these crazy things hop in with the grillers and then like oh all of a sudden oh I'm hurt on this and man like give yourself a rest you don't want to make it to something to where you start to hate
Starting point is 00:24:18 it like that because you go so hard and you put it as this big roadblock as an adult you see that yeah as a 20 year old child oh or 25 year old child yeah you do not see those things I see it when I ever since I joined our bread okay I've been there for like 18 months I see people come in and I would giggle they were looking me and go you only come twice or three times a week that said I go on the road man you know I'm old it takes me a little harder to recover and they'll tell me how they came 19 days in a row 26 days in a row and Becky what happens and where they leave they get too much hurt yeah they
Starting point is 00:25:04 end up hurt you don't get how old you are we get a lot of clients like that man just because people end up like oh no I got fucked up at this place and then we offer like you know recovery training or whatnot so they come to us after that and it's just like man like that you see you see the people you know suffering from whatever it is and it's like man no it doesn't have to be that's it that's today that's it no yeah you're getting out of here he's gonna karate there was a white kid there that I didn't know but every time he put his shirt on he was fucking bruised like I thought his wife was being like that type and I said to
Starting point is 00:25:38 one day I don't mean to be nosy why are you always bruised he goes cuz on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 in the morning I go to Taitan off of Hollywood and Western on Hollywood Boulevard two blocks down there's a there used to be a Thai center and then a place that did massage and then a place next to that was a restaurant well behind the restaurant on Friday on Tuesdays and Thursdays the cooks would beat the fuck out of each other the fuck beat the fuck out of each other and this white kid would go over that because hopefully it was for money I leave no no no we time training with the tree his legs
Starting point is 00:26:17 were always fucking blistered bleeding his feet were all fucked up and I asked him what the fuck is your problem he goes don't tell them the sense that you know because we were learning like tanks who know he goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays I go over by the ties to a Thai fight club backdoor all chefs all the cooks and the wait staff oh my god and they had the trees set up back there the trees whatever they kicked to get their shins into and he goes bro he goes it was full contact it was on he would come in with black eyes and fucking it was on and I and I applauded him like I for a couple weeks and then one day I
Starting point is 00:26:56 said to him in class I go you know Jesus Christ I love that you know at that time I was falling your pounds so I would admire anybody who was working out but I said to him unless you're in the UFC or something why are you doing this I mean he was like an accountant it wasn't like he was working security or he worked at the at the fucking Roxy or he worked at the comedy store and then he liked one badass security guy he was just and he thought about it he goes you know you're right I go it's not worth walking around lumped up yeah unless you're really a fucking fighter it's not worth even then with my fighters I'm
Starting point is 00:27:34 still super on top of it because especially some of the stuff that they go through with the train some of the younger guys up and coming they're trying to prove something in training and you know you're dealing with this UFC fighter in front of you you're one of the smaller guys in the LFA or something you're trying to prove a point and then you want to go do strength training after and show out there too so it's like man it's just it's approaching in a different way man and just man trying to change the game for real that's why it's just trying to get it out there too as many people as possible showing
Starting point is 00:28:00 them you know what I do what our program does and it's not it's it's really not like a gimmick we're not sitting there trying to advertise stuff on Groupon hey everybody come in man if you know who we are you want to reach out to us great like let's work you know we always give people you know a trial session like that that's the first thing we do just to see if it's something that they actually want to do or come in or we see that we can work together cuz like that man sometimes you get people that come in and they just you can tell from the get-go they just look at you with a dead stare and they're like God I don't want
Starting point is 00:28:30 to be here some of these parents man unfortunately that you you know you bring in a six-year-old the seven-year-old kid and the kids in there and the kid doesn't want man the kid wants to be outside playing around doing all these things like and there's some kids who do want to be you know running touching drills but man it's all got it's there's there's all an approach to it there can't just be one way of all this is this is what it this is what it is this is you know straight up a lot of people since they like you said see it by the book sometimes we get people you know out of college they have master's
Starting point is 00:28:59 degrees they have all these things internships all this stuff and then you put them there with a client and the client even you can learn all the stuff you want in the books and they're doing the exercise they're like oh I don't feel it here what do you mean you don't feel it here all of a sudden what now you got to change it now you got to change it now you got to talk to them differently because if now you look like the asshole there oh I don't know what I'm doing no you got you got to know what you're doing you got to realize that there's so many different things man it's it's a whole different game and
Starting point is 00:29:22 you know just to hit lead back before before I got locked up I wrote my bicycle and I hit the back and I lift weights I just liked it and the UPS dude was yoke this UPS dude that delivered not not not yoke like bodybuilder yoke but yoke that he did push-ups and ate well and I said to him dog where do you lift he goes I don't look weights I swim so I go where do you swim I love to go with you he goes okay I'll pick up tomorrow 5 30 in the morning I go 5 30 in the fucking morning he goes it's only with two classes a day six and seven 15 maybe no six or seven and I put my mountain I put my foot my mouth I go okay pick me up
Starting point is 00:30:06 the fucking 5 30 oh my god I need to jump in that cold pool but you know what bro I stuck with it for nine months until I got locked up I got locked up on a Monday and that Friday I was at the master swimming program I even did a biathlon like that's how much I fucking liked swimming at that time but it wasn't just jumping in the pool she went to the Olympics and she had been one of those chicks that goes to Hawaii and the Hamlet chicks what do you call those people that they fucking run 40 miles there's athletes she was the one that went to the big one why but yeah the big one so she would you know I like
Starting point is 00:30:46 man Iron Man because you come in and you can tell I am Becky I've roller skated I swear that's great Becky jumping the fucking pool and you jump in and she go come here do me a favor hold on to the wall and just kick just kick until fucking next Tuesday and then talk to me she was badass but you know I'm probably the first time I got the pool I jumped in at six you swim before oh fuck yeah I jumped in I started doing a bunch of these like Johnny Olympia and I look up I moved three feet like I was backwards I was sideways in the water she's like okay come here hold on to the wall and just kick and she would make me
Starting point is 00:31:26 hold my legs a certain way and she jump in the water and hold your feet a certain way she was technical by the book and you could go in there in a week and a week she make you do laps or two and you'd be like dying after one week she jump in the fucking water come on this is how I want you to do it and she would break it down for you Becky that you could do 20 laps and not stop she was a fucking genius bro I never saw anything like that no wasted movements no wasted movement your way your head turns to relax your muscles in your neck I mean she would hold you the details the details and then she would after three or
Starting point is 00:32:08 four weeks you go okay I want you to come Mondays Thursdays and Saturdays why I can only come Wednesdays because Thursday I want to put you up against this other guy because I mean she was fucking brilliant but to get back to what you said Lee let me tell you something today in my world today I wish I could go to coach Joey on Wednesdays and Mondays coach Joey at Alberto Crane's is creating killers over there on Fridays yeah I've seen him those three days he's creating killers over there I can't do it I can anytime now when I wake up in the old days let me tell you something Lee they ain't nothing like waking up I would
Starting point is 00:32:49 smoke and join drink a protein shake and get on my beach cruiser and I'd ride over there on the bike or go lane you can't even believe this shit no better way to start the day Lee I'd be out of there by seven I'd go to King Supers and get a big fucking this is before people took said how bad sugar was I'm a Cuban dog they ain't nothing like freshly squeezed I would go buy a fucking container freshly squeezed on his shoes and just drink the whole thing ride my bicycle home and Lee I would feel like I could take over the world you did the hardest part of your day right that was the hardest part of my mentally
Starting point is 00:33:26 physically so I understand that part of it I really enjoy plus if you're fat fucks like us and you lift and do cardio it goes with us the rest of the day mm-hmm so your metabolism is lit and going you cook it all fucking day so it helps with different things for sure that's why people tell you when you wake up go for a walk mm-hmm go for a brisk walk if you're fat fuck go for an hour walk that's it your metabolism is on fire stay away from the ring things don't drink sodas and it's all gonna work out for you I'm saying it's that easy it's that easy yeah no I was doing it was it's an 8am class that I've been
Starting point is 00:34:05 going to and I like it but I think it goes back to what you're saying about knowing your clients like I'm sure there's something he has these warm-ups that like you're supposed to do every class mm-hmm and they all have special names and I'm sure there's some like like fit people who know them I can just do them by seeing someone do it he was having this like 67 year old guy who's been there for three years teach me he's very nice but I know I can't I need someone like you someone who's worked out knows how to work out like with me to give you that confidence just from the beginning yeah in the beginning I'm the
Starting point is 00:34:38 same way bro yeah I can't have someone show me yeah I'm the same fucking way no it's different when you approach people like and even everything can you can have something planned all the way up until that person walks through the door and and you were talking about it the other day on the podcast when somebody walks through the door that's why you have least stop you slow them down a little bit so even through the warm-up you kind of slow them down a man what's up with your day what's up with this what's up with that you start to figure out a little bit more man like you you can really get to know people and
Starting point is 00:35:06 and change people's lives in a way that that you don't really realize because like I get clients that sometimes I actually gain 10 pounds I used to be super skinnier or just like you know a mom that has had three kids that you know wants to get surgery to take off all all the skin and everything is going through all this program and now you know I have I have women that are going in they're losing 10 15 pounds and like taking pictures and it's it's way different to tell somebody that you're just like this is just the way I am I'm not drinking any fucking protein like any teas fit teas I'm not taking this pill
Starting point is 00:35:39 like no man it's just like coming to the gym yeah like that man and and people don't realize like how how much that plays into it and people quit before anything that's no more problem with our country that you know you go to any type of martial art you go to any type of gym and if they look at the percentages you know these gyms when you go in there and you sign up for the year that dick gets hard when you go into fucking 24 hour 24 hour any of these places all and when you do that three year program yeah that dick gets hard didn't you say so one of our friends had like a seven-year plan somewhere yeah
Starting point is 00:36:17 we got beat and then they went no when you buy them when you buy the memberships they go do you travel you're like I don't know sometimes okay well for an extra $200 you could work out at any 24 hour fitness in the country she went to New York walked in they almost called the cops on it came back and she couldn't get her money back you know they have different fucking things that's funny yeah but they used to be a guy I'm Wilshire he's still there okay Wilshire and Fairfax you make a right and you go down there there's a guy there that you walk in smoke comes out of the office when he comes out he's a little
Starting point is 00:36:57 chinito he's a little Chinese guy or whatever and he'll come out he'll train you in Taekwondo but the first thing he'll look at you and he'll go you want to be black belt and you're like yes he's like I make you black belt in three and a half years with my accelerated program only for you I do give me 15,000 brother was a girl in my building on Schrader that gave him 15,000 for three years unfortunately out here in LA I believe him and you tell me I believe about 15,000 a year 15,000 for the three years up front three accelerated black belt program man there's people the thing is with LA like there's a lot of
Starting point is 00:37:42 people that buy into the hype that buy into the there's a lot of people that have money dog that listen in LA I know a guy God rest his soul Maca Foley he had a client that would give him $500 an hour what and take him on the road with him to shoot movies and on the movie sets he was just paying 1,500 flat and Maca Foley would call me every day and go I go what Mac what are you doing and he be in his room smoking dope and he tell me how he just trained such and such for 45 minutes and that was it he did six movies with him oh and then I tell you he put him in the movie too so he collected fucking residuals from the movie too yeah
Starting point is 00:38:22 if you get your hand on one of those guys the studio they don't give a fuck the studio pay you 500 and bill him a thousand oh it's just that I mean so it's a scam it's just in fortune has ten studio like a status thing I think yeah I've since he will take without a without a facility without anything I've seen people take clients down to the beach no no equipment or anything train them for 45 minutes a it's a hundred bucks you mean bro we just ran on in the sent yeah 100 pay it and it's crazy part of the first of all you have to figure an LA that 40% I know a comedian who took his train around the road things got bad
Starting point is 00:39:01 quick that train on the road and no more he took his train around the road but I tell you one thing dinner or a grudge match he had the train that he hired for the raging bow now he was a grown man he hired him when he got out of college he was doing what you were doing for the jets dinner or item to train him for a love with the kid and said quit your job you do every movie with me so I hate the morning the guy trains dinner every morning excuse me they run they do calisthenics one day the other day they do push-ups they do rings he said 70 you know I mean something he's got him fucking doing it's got to be a match man
Starting point is 00:39:45 that's why we have people come in and do a preview session or whatever it is first to like a let's see if you're before we even tell anybody about price hey don't even and what do you what is it cost bro just come in come in we'll figure it out let me train you let's see what are you looking for what do you want what do you what are we trying to do here and then after that we'll talk about price because if not man you're gonna give yourself such a heady like that charging somebody and it doesn't feel right man to be just you know you charge somebody something you know they're looking for something else and then it just it becomes this whole
Starting point is 00:40:12 whole thing man the guy downstairs from me that finally joined the Navy because he couldn't he was worthless and he tried to go in as a seal and I think he's back home I just saw him yeah he was the guy with the girls girl from that for a safer head he that was his gig he was just juiced up he was a good-looking juice he looked at the guy from Sun's Anarchy but only on juice not the blonde good-looking one the Baldwin Puerto Rican kid oh what's his name the guy with the yeah with the lightning rods and this had he looked just like him only huge and that guy I would see what he was doing with people and I go what the
Starting point is 00:40:58 fuck is he doing you know and that's why he ran out of clients because he would run him the first day like fucking run him like bulls like you know so you got a fat check that weighs 200 pounds you can't run like a bull you run her a little bit you stretch her out talk to her by the die and tell you'll see a Wednesday at 10 and then just build her up a little by little but if that chick gets sore see half these people don't want to get sore anymore yeah see once you go into that type of clientele if you make them sore that's not good yeah they just want to do enough I kickbox where Renee today I love Renee Renee
Starting point is 00:41:39 exo he's Cuban then we kick he was so great and Renee just for that they'll give you a deuce in Hollywood up here in Hollywood these fucking actors and they go crazy like I was telling the story of that Justin Fortune the actor that kept coming in and he went fortune put him with somebody finally we said fuck that I want a box with you oh shit just fortune started working with him but just unfortunately told 400 an animal so it's 400 now yeah dude we're coming two hours a day and one day he told Justin put me in the fucking ring against one of your pros and Justin goes bro you're an actor bro this is
Starting point is 00:42:19 bullshit you know I just have you throw jabs into the air to make you feel good about yourself don't get confused to do what they never came back of course and that's what happens but Justin news and Justin goes I got him I had him for a fucking year give me an under the day we don't even fuck gives a fuck he's somewhere else paying some other jerk off a thousand now not to hit him you something saying it's so fucking weird life is fucking weird bro it's like when you bartend I mean Lee we're talking about this one time you know your friend hook show you always have that friend that's the hookup hmm right and you go
Starting point is 00:42:54 in there and then one day he comes to you and goes bro I can't get no more the owners wife is here what do you do you like fuck this point you cross the street you actually pay full price for the drinks across the street this guy just wants to give him a 20 that's it because you've been drinking there for eight years and you get insulted across the street and pay full price and shit huh well you know it I've known a lot of personal trainers with different types of experiences and so we are now the guys that knew I knew that we're still successful are the guys that were athletes former athletes that had a
Starting point is 00:43:41 kinesiology degree or whatever the fuck they had from playing in college and now they figured how to put it all together you know I but I believe you guys like you were saying that you play baseball mm-hmm so if I come to you tomorrow and go let me tell you something bro my my fastballs 88 how long would it take me to get to 94 which is a which is a pretty not a bad goal no considering that I'm coming to you at 80 it's an achievable goal 24 years old and that's just a little bit of mechanics you work with me on mechanics we do some fucking we throw some balls like you know I'm saying we spin around yeah throw a
Starting point is 00:44:25 ball you know is that possible like if I come for sure 100% how much I've always been curious with baseball how much of a difference could I like if I came to you at 88 could you get me to 100 I mean there's depending on my age yeah well not so much man like throwing a hundred miles an hour throwing a baseball is the fastest movement a human body can do because of just the angles that everything is going on how hard I mean man what else can we do that we put out with our own bodies a hundred miles an hour that sounds crazy you know so something like that there's a lot of structural things to get to 100 but 94
Starting point is 00:45:00 like you were saying is for sure 100% possible because it's just showing people how to use your body because a lot of guys you just you throw a ball your whole life and you don't necessarily learn how to throw a 30 pound medicine ball into the wall have to drive everything behind it with good form and realize like fuck man I throw with my feet I don't just throw my arm here at the end I need to use my feet I need to use this I need to use that all of a sudden you start putting all those little pieces together that's one mile an hour by just extending your ankle just a little bit then you're using your hips
Starting point is 00:45:27 a little bit more that's two to three then you're put all these pieces together then you start feeling comfortable and you start feeling a little cocky you start feeling good then you start putting a little bit more on it and then that's how that's how it grows I went I was like that I was a kid throwing 88 89 miles an hour by the time I was done playing I had topped out 93 94 I'd had a elbow surgery Tommy John with James Andrews the whole deal but at some point like that I had to go from one place to the other and it was just and it was more more more of the training more so than the throwing a lot of people get fed
Starting point is 00:45:57 into oh I need to buy this book with this many drills and this guy's drills and that guy's drills man it's throwing a baseball how many ways is there to throw baseball like for real you know it's more about teaching your body how to get the most out of what you're doing to get that result you know why does the elbow go with baseball the elbow goes with pitching with pitching men like that because our an elbow is just really meant to extend back and forth like this that's what we're made for it's not once you start getting into the rotation of everything and people start leaning behind and all that stuff it starts
Starting point is 00:46:25 putting strain on the elbow and like and it's just it's a it's a compounding thing like when I tore my elbow it wasn't it wasn't just like oh I threw a game and it popped or whatever like it was a thing that happened gradually over time and then one day it kind of kind of gave out like man I was throwing it was cold weather I was throwing I threw I was throwing long toss and and I heard like kind of like a crack like how when your back cracks like and I was like man that felt kind of weird and then I threw the next one and it didn't feel that good but I still was 88 to 90 that day so I'm like nothing wrong and then
Starting point is 00:46:57 I go somewhere else to another visit the next week and I was throwing 85 86 and I'm like fuck man my elbows kind of sore what's wrong and then all of a sudden next thing you know I go get I pitched the whole year like that with a torn elbow trying to rehab it because people tell you oh it's 10 tonight it's this it's that so I did everything to try not to get surgery and then I went to Andrews James Andrews and man that guy's the best in the world he's the one who did Drew Brees his shoulder does everybody yeah Mariana Rivera all these guys you always hear him on Sports Center he's like the Tommy John yeah he
Starting point is 00:47:30 always that's pretty good so you were doing that in college yeah so I that was my freshman year of college that I got my elbow surgery how do you pay like do you have to pay for that my school paid for it I got injured at school so that's how it was for and they think that doctor well now we pick that doctor some somehow some way you know how it is when you know the right people I gotta move the no he can't go to the doctor because this and that all of a sudden next thing you know I go up to James Andrews cost me $15 to see the best doctor in the world like that the guy comes in grabs your elbow does a bunch of things he
Starting point is 00:48:01 doesn't even look at the report he says man he's got about like a 40% tear he's got like three other doctors there just watching you just writing down to writing shit down look at him looking at you writing shit down he opens up the paper of 45% tear boom next thing you know we're there the next day in surgery at his facility he even brought my parents into the room like that to watch the surgery like on the screen and everything opened up my elbow and like that man I saw him he wanted me back two weeks later and I was there with Sam Bradford and another one of the NFL guys is there chilling like that just hanging
Starting point is 00:48:34 on it's just me getting my thing done so it's cool man it's a cool experience like what we were talking about earlier like just where sports takes you and all the different experiences you see and sometimes you need to go through like those bad times to kind of like push you to those points because if not man when everything's just nice and breezy like you don't get pushed anywhere sometimes when people don't have that motivation to go and they're just comfortable in their thing like sometimes you got to get put in a shitty situation like that to get everything taken away from you I thought I was going to college all this
Starting point is 00:49:01 shit you know scholarship LSU all this stuff like so you know your elbow goes what now like what are you gonna do you're gonna sit there and cry you're gonna like you got to figure something out and it's not to be you know like that like like to extreme of waking up at four in the morning but like like what we were talking about like my thing for me that would get me over everything was just going for a jog at night at night everything's just dark you're there with your own thoughts you're thinking let me ask you something you made a pretty interesting statement you said that pitching is what is the only thing you
Starting point is 00:49:32 could do with your whole body that quickest the quickest quickest that's fucking crazy yeah throwing throwing up throwing a fastball like that a hundred miles an hour is the fastest is the fastest thing a human body part can move like what about those things they throw in the Olympics the javelin very similar yeah but they're a little bit heavier so like that the same thing with the right slows your arm down so it actually it's safer to throw a football than it is a baseball because your arms not going through the speed that it would be in a short amount of time because think about as soon as you let
Starting point is 00:49:59 it go you got to decelerate and slow your arm down because if not your arm pops out of the socket that's why people pronate and then they slow their arm down and that's why sometimes people when they get the shoulder problems is mostly because either they're flying open or when they they don't know how to decelerate because they throw hard but then you need the brakes for the car too you know what I mean if you fucking just got a car with an engine and no brakes you fucked you fuck you know so that's why a lot of people mess up their shoulders and things like that too there's a lot that goes into it and I
Starting point is 00:50:26 mean it's just the same thing man it's the it's the individual it's who pays attention to the detail of the individual a lot of people the thing is with social media and with everything like it's nice to get everything out to everybody it's nice but when you start to try to sell everything to everybody and trying to just sell it as one general program this and that then that's when you start to show your ass you know because it's just that's it's it is what it is man it's so detailed when you want to be the best like especially with everybody now 94 is a good speed but everybody in the main a lot of people
Starting point is 00:50:57 in the major leagues throw you know 95 96 97 it's a it's a lot more common now so now that level is getting that much more higher man I see kids like we're saying seven years old eight years old doing strength and conditioning you weren't doing that as a kid I wasn't doing that as a kid when I started doing bands as a sophomore people would laugh well you weren't supposed to yeah until you got hair on your dick you weren't supposed to touch fucking weights I thought that's how I roll you you're not supposed to touch your weight till you get a couple hairs on your dick and you can lift weights and shit like that I had a
Starting point is 00:51:25 hide weights my mom wouldn't let me live she's like wait till you fucking get hair on your dick then you can lift weights because so I had to take those sliding doors mm-hmm you like would you ever take like a wooden sliding door you like that a closet if you take that and put it on two chairs you got a bench there you go that's a Puerto Rican bench right there I got myself some dumbbells that would do the fucking things downstairs and I had them and she'd go how the fuck are you lifting weights with the closet you son of a bitch you figure shit out you know Sam but it's what no I I didn't know if it worked
Starting point is 00:51:58 like that how about for punching yeah I could get you know I'm not saying me I'm saying a fighter could punch harder with a training regimen hundred percent same thing you're learning to drive through your whole body there's one thing just tapping somebody and then driving through somebody and then being able to do it consistently too it's great if you can do it for the first round but then once you start to get into those later rounds and you still have that can you still have that preciseness that's still that same edge it's a whole different game you know because people like man we train all this time especially
Starting point is 00:52:30 for the fighters the same thing I tell them you guys are training for our most five minutes like for championship fights it's five minute rounds you're training for a five minute opportunity because you don't know if you're gonna get past the first round you're assuming you think you're that fucking good for real the guy you're fighting is just as good as you are so you got to train like that like these are I'm only getting these five minutes I better fucking maximize everything I'm doing to that so the same thing driving through everything you're doing activating just different things depending on who same
Starting point is 00:52:58 thing what kind of camp you're going through where your meals are at one thing that I really try to focus on my fighters is having to avoid a weight cut a lot of people like of the old school mentality is oh you don't want to really be walking around that way you don't want to be why not why do you have to cut 26 pounds to get to where you're fighting and then all of a sudden like it's just it's a very old way of thinking you know I don't understand why it's not done at the beginning of the training camp so he doesn't go in there I don't I just never understood that so the guy doesn't walk in there sucked out the death yeah
Starting point is 00:53:32 for sure I at least try to get if somebody's like really overweight with me I try to at least get two pounds a week and with our guys a lot of people like to do four-week training camps we like to do six and just like that like that like those first two weeks we focus a lot more on the strength and conditioning and more wrestling like grappling stuff to get them sweating to get all that shit out of them to get whatever if they had you know some some guys like to take a long break after fights so they all this terrible food which is another thing to these fighters starve themselves so much and then all
Starting point is 00:54:01 of a sudden when they're done with their fight they're so happy they're celebrating they got all this money now and then they eat all this shit food for two weeks and you just went you know back a step and then you know it's just it's a constant thing so that's that's why we're there we're trying to create the first like real pro team to to to change the game man to show people that fuck man it's not just a bunch of people hopping in a room fighting punching each other there's a whole process to this that's why black house has been around for so long that's why you know they partnered up with the Under Armour
Starting point is 00:54:29 Company and with us now like there's a whole there's a whole thing to it like I didn't just how many black house gyms are there around around the world I think there's seven there's here's the headquarters we have one in Redondo Beach too that's open for classes and whatnot then we have one in Miami Beach we have one in Brazil one in Mexico so they're they're kind of around everywhere but this is our main one so like it's only the pro guys so that's why it's a whole different level when you walk in there on any given day there's four UFC guys three Bellator guys and then three guys coming up just you know hunters
Starting point is 00:55:01 coming in from Brazil because we bring in we have guys coming in everywhere because like even through my training through my Instagram when I have guys hitting me up hey how do I train at black house like brah I'm just a strength and conditioning guy yeah yeah but how do I get in there because like people know the name they know Anderson they know Leo they know you know RDA training with us now Tony Ferguson you know Alan Joe Ban Kevin Casey like the names that are in there are legit guys so you go in there you're finding training partners from every weight class from every different organization and there's
Starting point is 00:55:30 no there's no bullshit there's no oh I'm just gonna sit out this round no they'll call your ass out hey let's go so somebody's getting ready for a fight and there's six weeks away how many days a week do they do the strength and conditioning classes three three out of the six three okay and then it's like a solid three same workout the three days no different not everything yeah yeah yeah it's a very interesting fucking occupation man you know that was why I told back I want to talk to him about because that's what people at home want to know like what why would I need a strength and conditioning coach why
Starting point is 00:56:09 can't I just work out what was your fat fuck and you're not about to go to the Olympics so you don't need a fucking strength and conditioning coach when you decide what you want to do and what your holes in your game on and then you go see him and go you know what I'm fucking terrible with hip escapes and we're trying to fucking throw people off me yeah put a workout for them designed specifically yeah that with the cardio and the whole fucking and if people don't feel something like and that's what I tell my clients all the time and some people they show up to me and they show up to a gym and they're
Starting point is 00:56:39 kind of like intimidating because they see everything going on and they think it's a big deal for them it's it for us it's normal day first other people come in it's a big oh you know people listen it's tough enough for to get regular people to go to 10th planet jiu-jitsu and perfect mm-hmm do you understand transiting I mean people watch the UFC so a stigma goes with it so there's some people this is a guy next to the guitar center where I used to take tanks who though that dude they teach Gracie whatever that it's a hundred and eighty dollars a month and nobody rose you didn't know that it's called Gracie
Starting point is 00:57:20 combatives you get real hard of doing you get really good at doing the arm bar and practice and the technique and stuff but you're not allowed to roll they don't roll over there on sunset I do not fucking know I do not know but the point was that you know everybody's looking for something different so if you go into it like if you go into a place and I do silly on a machita I'm gonna run the fuck out of that back of my mind I think I'm gonna get beat the fuck up you know people want to feel like they're not gonna fucking die yeah that's the main thing nobody wants to die yeah and that's what you were saying
Starting point is 00:58:04 earlier that you take them off their focus and you talked about what's going on in their life and stuff and let's start off real fucking slow I just want you to throw the ball ten times or jump up 22 times and even the most muscular guy which those motherfuckers need you need oxygen to have those muscles I've had guys that use that I can't even do a plank in all my back it's cuz you've never held yourself up you're just standing up doing curls and yeah that isn't sure you've never done a plank in your life you know and it's amazing it's so crazy what we're finding out now over the years like when I first started
Starting point is 00:58:36 lifting I used to read muscle and fitness you know to the fucking T I loved it I I read about Tom Plats and all these dudes that dude Mike Metzler he did 20 sets per body part so I was like fuck it I'll do 20 sets per body part and shit and that's exactly what I did I loved it and I and I fucking you know but it was I worked myself up into it the people I lifted with knew a little bit about it and then I met more people the dudes I moved to Colorado with strengthen not strengthen conditioning dudes those dudes that do fucking deadlifts with cars and they pick up strong man strong man those two dudes
Starting point is 00:59:14 both the brothers you know we built racks downstairs and it was fucking crazy but I remember that they would bring like muscle bound dudes over and the muscle bound dudes couldn't even move the bar and these guys were doing it all it was just technique whether it's jujitsu lifting weights yeah I was a kid I used to go to Joe name it football camp hmm first they did to Joe name it football camp after you dropped your fucking clothes off was you what I think you did the 40 and they timed your pick no you know why am I doing the fucking 40 well every day before breakfast is a 30-minute workout and all they did was
Starting point is 00:59:54 you was extend your legs kick out like like you're a fucking Nazi like you one of those Russians that do the guloff dance that's all you did back in the soup I don't know I don't fucking know you know when you do this hey and you kick your legs out that's how you had a run like look at me Lee okay so you got to run like this right so you have to kick your leg out and you did so you stretched and you did something else at the end of the week you go you ready do the 40 beep and also they tell you what your speed was and you're like what happened the guy goes we broke down your mechanics and we pre-programmed you you
Starting point is 01:00:37 just picked up two seconds on your time or some shit yeah whatever it is because it was all mechanics it's all you ever see the Agostino's wife run no watch the Agostino's wife run she's rushing she runs perfectly on point you look at it you go oh shit that's what you're supposed to look like not like these fucking people running killing themselves because in Russia they teach you how to march they teach how to walk they teach how to fucking run they teach how to do all that shit when you're a kid so there's no misunderstandings you say they teach you the fucking basics bro when you see her it's a thing of
Starting point is 01:01:17 beauty in Vegas one time I went to the gym and she was in the gym working out because the Agostino's a comedian and she came with me she was just running he tells me she'll get up at four and run 12 miles so when you see her form like I didn't run I lived in Boulder I've seen all those people run I've never seen anybody run like that I've never seen it it's perfect it's a thing and when you see it you'll go wow they really do a good job in Russia the fuck is how to and it's perfect her arms don't go high they come up to like here and you go oh my god that's the mechanic of the run yeah what speaking
Starting point is 01:01:56 of that what do you see or what do you think when you see someone doing like bad form and when we were talking about baseball there's a bunch of people who've done it but on the Red Sox there used to be a picture called be young young Kim and it was sidearm and I like I just imagine his elbow like snaps every third week or something like when you see that you get upset I mean the the thing is what we do too man is we break it down there's one thing between skills and then training so like the skills work we work we we bring in a lot of the best coaches like that to work with our guys on skills work and then we do a lot
Starting point is 01:02:29 of like their strength training to build in to work with these guys because we know man that that's two different two whole different things because like that because with like how be young young Kim throws right there is people who like to throw sidearm and whatever it is but you'll find the way to strengthen that arm yeah so they won't fuck it up and continue to yeah so we work we work with the pitching coaches we work with their skill specific coaches because man do you know how it is in coaching or whatever it is anything but everybody's got an attitude everybody wants to show that they're the big dick whatever it is
Starting point is 01:02:59 so we're like no if they're Cuban no because in Cuba especially when you're Miami everybody's a play for the Cuban national team and yo walkie and this and that yeah everybody there's a guy in a park with a bad doing all types of shit but like that man it's a it's it's we work with those guys because there's there's so much more room off the field to do shit because man when I was I was trying to get better all stuff I was deadlifting I was putting up a shit ton away getting stronger fucking protein shakes everything but my fastball stayed the same everything that I was doing on the field I'm like fuck I'm not getting
Starting point is 01:03:39 better I'm getting lit up what the fuck is happening like I'm training I'm doing this shit every day but if you're what you're doing in training and in the gym isn't benefiting what you're doing outside like whatever your goal is whether it's being a fucking executive and walking better and your back not hurting or trying to throw a hundred mile an hour fastball it's then what the fuck are you doing what are you doing what's the whole purpose what are we doing here you're just sitting here throwing up weights wasting your time like it's great to look good it's great to run fast it's great to all the shit
Starting point is 01:04:03 but if you can't do what you're doing then what do we got like you know so that's that's the whole thing especially with with anybody so that's why we work with these guys hand-in-hand close so they tell us hey this person sucks at this whatever it is when we train when we when we train some of the USC guys you know like we we we know what they're doing we know exactly what's going on so we we try to work with them not necessarily against these guys because every every pro athlete everybody has a coach already from somebody growing up there oh no I've had this coach since I was 12 I've had this coach and such good
Starting point is 01:04:34 cool I'm glad I love the stuff you're doing because it got you to this point you're not here to change your shit yeah I'm here to strengthen what we got yeah and get your weaknesses point it's six weeks I'm not gonna fucking make you Damian Maya in six motherfucking weeks but I'll teach you how to not get submitted yeah by a triangle this dad and I'll teach you all the defenses and you just get the fuck up and run away yeah that's it get up and run away to the side of the cage yeah no it's not running away I mean no and then you come back for that second camp and then it's a whole different game boom the game you
Starting point is 01:05:09 don't know see if you if you watch some of those 30 for 30s a lot of those things they'll tell you how they went to a certain football program and they were a quarterback but they try to make them a wide receiver and then they got the kids got no career because the coach Jamie Foxx in that movie that went to Miami remember when he got into it with with what's his name that's what he told him because you know why I went in the third round because that dumb fucking coach my freshman year made me a DB instead of a fucking quarterback because he said I would have made a better DB and I would have played you don't do that
Starting point is 01:05:46 to people yeah you don't do that to people you take their strengths it's like if I'm 13 and all in the UFC with knockouts and 11 of them have been with this fucking left hand you're not gonna come to me and go dog we got to start fucking curling and doing what I'm posing the left hand is fine don't bother nobody mind your business let me do some shout outs so we get the fuck out here Lee how you feeling beautiful I hear you making noises you ate how many animals three you really went low to an all-time low tonight stars I thought I was gonna show up in the 2000 2000 you came all the way you didn't bring the
Starting point is 01:06:24 ones at the house and I thought you were gonna eat these coconut things I mean they taste delicious yeah but then I saw you break my fives and it just broke my heart I couldn't do it anymore I tried but I couldn't do it anymore Don Wrangley you know I love you Tyler OB West Woods Danny Bianculo my old friend Savage Lindsay LeForge Kanye West Alice Quentin Tarantella Georgie Clark Owen Perry and Joe Devlin you know I love you cocksuckers I thought we had some famous listeners for a second don't forget next week the Ontario improv Thursday Friday and Saturday tickets are available knock yourself the fuck out you
Starting point is 01:07:09 understand me when I'm back you got your hair up tonight's looking good Becky had a boyfriend a few weeks ago she doesn't think I know they tied her up and shit they did a lot of nasty things to her but she looks good that's all that matters that's crazy how are your legs doing Becky are they yes I'm son of those goddamn things yes if the other boy hit you a little bit yeah it's funny like we're talking about earlier how the Cubans and the finding each other especially out here in LA man it's it's just it's crazy how it is how life takes you places man like you just I'm how I met Becky like through a mutual
Starting point is 01:07:51 friend and all of a sudden man hey maybe I might move out here and boom all of a sudden we're friends and then oh well I know you Cuban all the stuff and it's just like man how how we always end up finding each other because there's not that many Cubans spread out there's a lot of us but we're we're gonna like in concentrated areas like that like you know it's it's it's funny how life works man you're gonna be really surprised you know we were talking about people who don't leave their neighbors and I got nothing against you people like if you you know I grew up with a thousand people who go to Florida once a year and
Starting point is 01:08:24 Atlantic City the other side of the year and that's what they've done for the last 40 years and that's what they're gonna do till they die guys they don't want to go out to California there's a lot of crazy people out there and yeah all those wiker dudes out there people walking around naked my nephew told me they were people walking around naked and how you know are you scared of earthquakes yeah hit me with that oh my come on you know it's kind of weird but in real life you'd be very surprised what happens when you do go out of your comfort zone you pick up your bags and you give life a try and that's what
Starting point is 01:09:01 people have never realized I don't realize at an early age the cops are looking for me so I went to Sarasota Florida and I met 15 people and other 15 people with nine of them offered me jobs and three of them offered me places to live well and if you move here you could go to this beach with us on Saturdays you know nothing happens again till you leave the couch well if you want to stay on the couch you're never gonna mean nobody nothing gonna happen you know when you put those wheels in motion you know you might meet somebody who mugs you you might say fucking I'm gonna take a bus out to California with
Starting point is 01:09:37 the last 8,000 I got I'm gonna get an apartment Joey told me there's an apartment by his house he you you can land on a fucking Saturday I'm out of town I can't pick you up you're down in Union Square you get mugged you know you get like a hit in the head and also some chick walks by and takes you to a house and makes you you never know what could happen until something happens and then you see the beauty of people and what's really out there yeah you know what the fuck is really out and what do you really have to lose man just by making a decision you like the smallest thing just by saying what's up to somebody and
Starting point is 01:10:10 just like man the smallest it's crazy how many people don't talk fucking no yeah 100% you know when I left New York said I went to Colorado and people would say good morning to me monsters are you fucking crazy people wave at you driving away and say good morning I would go in that apartment yell at my roommates what the fuck are these people crazy saying good morning to me whether you fucking retarded what do they think I am it was a different thing it throws you off it would throw it would throw me off they would it really would man I was from New York and people don't talk to each other in the morning they just look at
Starting point is 01:10:43 the floor and walk straight ahead now people making eye contact going good morning how's your day going what the fuck do you care I don't even know you what the fuck is your business bro in Colorado they used to hit when I first moved to the salt in 1983 you know I was raised you don't get a nobody's car and when I was 14 15 one time I got somebody's car he felt my dick then got the door open I ran he did he had a basketball between my legs and he asked me if I like playing basketball when he went to hit the basketball he purposely let his hands slip maybe he touched my dick I was 14 there was 22
Starting point is 01:11:20 feet of snow and if God was in the fucking car because the door mysteriously opened and I ran out and I ran behind the con into the session with this fucking German Park what the fuck it's Schutzen Park and I fucking he made a U-turn and went in there looking for me come back yeah I was gonna report him he was right away man I said I'm never gonna tell nobody's car well here I am five years later if you're walking on Route 82 from Glenwood Springs to Aspen people will pull over and ask you hey how far you going you're like fuck I'd be like fuck you fucking fucking perfect and then one day a woman picked
Starting point is 01:12:03 me up and that was you on the right I was like oh shit and at that time hit HBO's big show was the hitchhiker it came on at night about a good-looking hitchhiker that could go out and women would pick them up then he'd take them back to this fucking log cabin he fucked them in shit they would show his dick on her pussy they just show on the fucking bed going like this and him looking at it like then they'd show him like eating peanuts in the next day be hitchhiking again look at a bleep look up the hitchhiker HBO circa 1980 see if they have the wait till you see that you going around Colorado no I didn't say
Starting point is 01:12:44 that I said that when the woman picked me up that day that's what I thought of the fucking hitchhiker that do was listen another time my car blew up in Nebraska all the while in Nebraska the fucking the frame I got a pimple right outside my ass that is so fucking itchy there's no head on it I don't even know if it's a pimple it could be like a fucking like a bite or something bite then one time I was in Ocala in Nebraska and I'm fucking the frame broke on the car I was coming back from Michigan the fucking frame broke I got two flat tires one after the other pa and then the other time pa so I figured out the
Starting point is 01:13:27 frame broke he kept rubbing against the tires and make them blow up so fucking this chick pulls over oh my god didn't have a bra on but just a shirt you can see the sun you can see a little baby titties she she had no shoes on and she had armpit hair which sent me over the top I'm like this lady's an animal she'll let me kill and she'll leave me money for killing the hitch what is that scroll down there it is right there which one ten years ago and you see an intro the hitchhiker up there you go you didn't just sit there fucking malook hey there's the hitchhiker look at the intro see do I fucking bullshit
Starting point is 01:14:09 you motherfuckers I'm always dropping knowledge on you look at him with a jacket that was Uncle Joey just that day just that day slinging dick no no body that day that woman stopped I was so excited what woman's gonna get it today she's gonna lick my nuts she and the one with the no bra on she lived in a in a commune but they did religious thing she kept telling me we'll go back to my place oh thank you and we'll pray pray I don't want to eat ass I don't want to pray we'll pray after we got to get back in the room can't eat ass and print I could I couldn't say I pray I'll say a
Starting point is 01:14:52 prayer for your clip I won't bite that motherfucker why let's just stick it up like look at Becky Becky what was the last time somebody bit you look do the other girl just leave him there I mean I told you back it's Cuban night of course man look at see see it's another don't show it see but that was it oh shit that's like that's like a Cuban thing man I've always heard that like even growing up you're not a man until you eat someone's ass like that like that's what no one goes used to grab us a little bro I say it on stage the first time I heard it we're talking about
Starting point is 01:15:31 what I was about yeah like see it but serious talks though serious talk I was about five I'm your real woman Becky when I was about five I was watching TV and on Tuesday nights my mother would play cards with four other Cuban woman and one chick that was Cuban Chinese Lachi and they would play cards until this day I don't remember this lady's name my goal something her husband had just gotten out of jail they would play cards on Tuesday night and stay up all night I'm no fear I was doing something watching TV and my mother was on the phone and she was bitching to my mother in front of me then let me tell you what
Starting point is 01:16:08 that son of a bitch did to me last night last night Seguró lo mío mamando me la papaya he fell asleep sucking my pussy what kind of man that she's talking to my mom I was like I don't want to hear about that that's just me I would have thrown him out my mom's like I would have thrown you falsely beating my pussy I'm sitting there watching cartoons like what the fuck are these two fucking savages talking about I'll never forget her telling my mom that the motherfucker fell asleep how do you fall asleep I don't even know I would never fall asleep eating somebody's pussy just sniffing that little
Starting point is 01:16:43 caffeine from that monkey we'll keep you up for 24 hours and shit but like that you know that little monkey got caffeine and gunpowder from the cop from the coffee and soda you drink whatever I don't know I'm just saying Lee it's a fucking joke I'm just saying that nah someplace is no joke man what I'm telling you like one time I was there with a few my buddies like that night his friend his dad comes in he's like hey guys I gotta talk to you hey you guys yeah like that's right he goes you guys want a girl to ever remember you bro like that girl's ass I'm like come on bro he's like he's like no bro I'm
Starting point is 01:17:17 being dead-ass serious like that you're just like bro what the fuck you're like 11 12 years old you're like what the fuck I told you that my fucking mom's friend gave me a little bottle of coke and told me next time my skinny girlfriend came over to put up some coke on a pussy I'm like what the fuck are you talking about and I held that coke for like six months in my drawer I put it in the drug capsule like I took a what do you call those things the cold contact and I emptied it out and I put the coke in it and I put my clothes I put in the back of the drawer so nobody would know one day my mother came in she goes hey man
Starting point is 01:17:51 thought they told me something disturbing that he gave you coke to put on that girl's pussy is that true I go maybe and she goes fucking give that to me right is he crazy and are you fucking crazy so I gave my mom the little capsule with the coconut it's that whole Hispanic thing man I have a guy that was a cheese mall thing because when I went to Catholic school there was a guy at my mother's bar that would say to me they suck your dick down at that Catholic school and I would look at him and go what the fuck are you talking about it's a boys school he goes so what he goes just let him suck your dick it's a party
Starting point is 01:18:30 you don't have to suck that dick and I would look at him like what the fuck the priest no no no no like the other kids oh like he would goof on me and go and then when they told me a faggot one suck my dick his mouth was cold I'll never forget that I was a young kid I was like fucking 12 and he was tell me let me tell you something ain't no big deal yeah faggot suck my dick one night we might need sensors and podcasts oh my god there's nothing off limits you walk into the room like when I was a little kid
Starting point is 01:19:02 I was a little chubby whatever they'll be like oh yeah I'm like bro come on don't say shit don't say shit you're fucking crazy shit they really will say some crazy they break you down as a kid so that when you get older that's it man you're ready for whatever because people know man you're gonna get taken advantage of they like you older adult people have seen it man so they like they try to break it yeah I like when they ask you if you still be a sweet Spanish man Lucy that means that you're still a little fucking kid once you start pissing sour that means that cum comes out of your dick and they'll ask you
Starting point is 01:19:38 in front of your mother like hey you still be sweet what the fuck why you asking me for my mother although try to embarrass you and ask if you fuck before in front of your mom you're gonna get some of your little stamina and then your mom would chime in he likes black girls no white girls to everybody's on top of you in the family parties that's one thing too as a fat and just in the family parties man everybody's dancing everything you're growing up in your dad's like or whatever it is like go dance go dance to your grandma go dance with what oh no I'm embarrassed you just throw them in there all of a sudden
Starting point is 01:20:13 next thing you know you're dancing in front of the whole family like bro what is this like it's a hole they break you down like that you don't get shy in front of anybody you'd like you know where to go like that they tell you don't get into anybody's cars don't this don't that why why why boom all of a sudden everything happens oh fuck okay damn bro that makes sense my mom isn't crazy she knows what the fuck she's saying like that cuz that I mean as a span like as just at least in Miami like it's not I don't want to say that like it's sheltered that that our families try to keep a shelter but it's your mom's man your mom keeps
Starting point is 01:20:41 you tight your family keeps you tight close to you they want to know everything you're doing especially his fan oh yeah don't let that no time laquina hey whatever like oh you know like it's just it is how it is man they hold you tight family is a fucking great thing to have and having like a Cuban family any family for that matter that that's like you missed that yeah and that's why I was telling your friend Ricky that used to live out here he said he loved LA he loved acting he loved stand-up but there was times he couldn't it didn't add up for the he wanted to be with his family what day is you down there I'm down there
