Hello.
Hi.
We're doing something a little bit different today.
We're also recording on Zoom.
And so actually I've been toying with the idea of doing like live podcasts for a while.
Because I just feel like personally when people are like watching and interacting, I feel like it brings another level out of me.
So I'm like, this is our first kind of dabbling in that concept.
So after we're done with this conversation, it's going to live on my.
Instagram page, but also on the podcast, Undoctrinate Yourself. So with that, welcome to
Undoctrinate Yourself live. Today, I'm sitting down with Paulina Settina. Am I saying your name right?
Yeah, yeah. I, you know, it's a bit different in, in Croatian. It would be Settina.
Okay, okay. So the emphasis. Less enthusiastic.
Yes. And so actually, Polina, I connected a long time ago. I don't even remember how exactly.
but through her other account, which has to do with, like, e-sports,
and she's, like, this awesome announcer for e-sports in Europe.
And then I come to find out a couple months ago that she's also an astrologer
and, like, mythology geek like I am, and I'm like, my mind is blown.
We need to nerd out.
She also does quite a bit of work not only with Vedic astrology, but also with Vastu,
which most people probably have no idea what it is, and I didn't either.
And we're going to talk about that.
But just as a brief introduction, it's so nice to have you on here.
and maybe we can start by talking a little bit about your journey to getting interested in this
information and then we can get into some fun details on this lovely Mercury Day, full moon,
Libra, Venus, all the goodness.
Oh, thank you for the introduction, Dr. Alexis.
I'm very happy to be sharing all this with you and everybody else because you probably know
how much of a nerd I am for all these things.
I love it.
And today is a full moon.
I think it's probably started waning already.
Ciderial, it is in Ares.
And we have Venus looking at it directly opposite and the sun and beautiful Wednesday, Mercury's Day.
What better time to do a podcast actually because it's Mercury?
Don't you just want to yap on Wednesday?
Somebody saying there's an echo.
Do you hear an echo?
Oh, okay.
Yeah, it's probably.
from me. Okay.
Let's see. Because you can't mute, you can't mute the live stream.
If you turn your volume all the way down on your phone.
Yeah. I did that. Wait, I think you fixed it. I think. Yeah. Yeah, it just goes up again.
Maybe it's, it's the phone here. Hold on. Let me try to do something else.
Well, I feel like I don't say something. Hello. I don't hear an echo anymore.
I muted myself on.
the on the phone but you're good i think it's still gives me something i literally put the volume down
and well everybody's saying that there's no echo so i think we're good thank you guys
troubleshoot it if it happens again this helps the the the microphones here help a lot
exactly i think we both have good is this the yeti that you have yeah yeah the little
the Yeti. It's so good. It's so easy. It is. And it's pretty budget, honestly, for how effective it is. I'm like,
this is good. Yeah. Just plug and play. I love it. Yes. Anyway, sorry. You asked me about how I really got into all
this stuff. Wow. Well, it's, it's been a very long time. It's been probably 10 plus years since I got into
a little bit of a stranger side of life. I remember being 14 and this is, this was a big trigger for me.
because my education has a scientific background, chemistry, high school, chemistry, university,
and I wanted to always quantify everything.
I always wanted to get to the nitty-gritty, you know, give me the God particle, show me,
I need to measure it, and I need to have all the data on it.
So I was wondering why a lot of people are saying negative stuff about astrology
and why a lot of people are reading those booklets at the end of the year.
There used to be when you buy a magazine, there's like, oh, 2025 predictions for all signs.
And I was weighing if there's so much interest in it, but there's also on TV, they were making a show where they were trying to disprove it.
They made like a general statement on a paper and went around the city asking people, do you relate to this message?
And everybody was like, yes, yes, positive things about me.
And then you told them, oh, that is positive.
Pisces actually, so everybody thinks they're Pisces, but they're not.
So it didn't align.
And that was there trying to sort of disprove of astrology.
And I was like, I'm going to find out the truth.
So what did I do?
Started reading daily horoscopes, weekly horoscopes, monthly predictions, everything.
I started in Western astrology.
And from there, it was a lot of different things.
I mean, I remember having this one book that was titled
everything can be cured and it was basically showing you foundations of Reiki I
think where you at the start you're creating an energy ball with concentrating
the energy like from your hands and I remember doing this with a friend of mine
and we then you like intersect your hands the two people and you kind of
transfer this heat ball energy ball to the other person and when we felt the
heat we got so freaked out we never did it again we were so scared and i still have that book somewhere
i'll probably go through it it was intriguing to think that you had the power to heal yourself
to heal everything so from the worst like cancer to a headache and those were kind of like my beginnings
just doing all those crazy things, being interested in astral projection, lucid dreaming, astrology.
And then now in the last couple of years, it very heavily became Vedic astrology and Vastu.
I love that.
And when you're talking about healing yourself, it's also making me think of, I don't know if you're familiar with Dr. Robert O'Becker's work.
He wrote The Body Electric and Cross currents, and we're just finishing up Cross currents in my book club, actually.
but his work was like a real turning point in reading about his very hardcore scientific studies into the body's self-healing capacity and how we are basically blocking it through, you know, kind of just our reductionist mechanistic environments and like our approach to life that we're blocking the healing force that's electrical in nature that's generated in the perineural cells of the brain.
But like if we can get our bodies in the right environment and the right conditions, now you unlock that.
potential and it's like we're just kind of cutting ourselves off at the knees at every turn.
And I feel like similarly with, you know, the esoteric as well, if you just are working at a
superficial level, it's not going to give you anywhere near as much value and can actually
lead you down paths that are not so helpful versus kind of understanding it as a science,
which I think it can be understood as a science in a little bit of a different way because
like you alluded to, you don't necessarily weigh and measure things.
not in like the, you can't really look at it in the reductionist standpoint, but as like a qualitative science that was developed, you know, over thousands of years through very acute observation of the cosmos and of human nature.
Like there's an immense value there and anybody who just like writes that off as woo or like, you know, just, um, not worth their time.
I mean, maybe that's their path to not be considering these things.
But for me, as somebody who's just like avidly curious and wanting to understand the world, that has to include the more ancient traditions as well because they were just so much more clued in to nature, to reality.
And I think there's a ton of value to be had there.
Absolutely.
What you just said, it was something that very much got me interested in Vastu.
My first book on Vastu, the very beginning, it tells you that it's all about.
quantum mechanics. It lists all of these different scientific perspectives as being the basis
for Vastro. It doesn't tell you, oh, you know, Venus rules this direction. It is first telling you,
okay, there's a magnetic influence, there's the thermal influence, the solar influence on
your home, and so on. So I really, really like to demystify that whole perspective on, you know,
the occult, their negative connotation being considered as evil or used for some kind of manipulation
or something. When in Vedic astrology, there was also an amazing thing when I learned that
it's called Jotish, which means light of God, which intrinsically says that this is the science of
studying God. This is the science of divinity. So there's no dark connotation to it.
that was one of the most incredible things that I think got me so hooked on to it.
That's beautiful. And I think it's no surprise then in the West and just like in the modern mechanistic world that that would be demonized because it seems like anything that gives you a direct experience with God with the Creator is demonized in some way and is we're protected from experiencing it for, you know, obviously you can go down the rabbit hole of the many reasons why it's, um,
helpful from a power structure standpoint to keep people away from information like this.
That's empowering of the individual, but also of the individual's role within the collective
and kind of keeping us separated from each other and from seeing the divinity in each other.
But so you mentioned Vostu.
Maybe we could start there because I think nobody probably knows really about Vostu.
I had never heard of it in my life.
I'm like, what does this word mean?
And I think when you start describing it, people will begin to see the inherent interest
and value that could lie there for just, you know, kind of improving the environment,
which is something I'm so passionate about, you know, learning about and helping people implement
and creating an environment that's right for them. And I think this kind of takes it to another
level that may be similar if people are familiar with biogeometry. They kind of dabble at this,
apparently from like an ancient Egyptian perspective. And I don't, I haven't taken the coursework.
So I don't know all of the mechanisms and like the reasons behind the way they do the things
they do. But it has to do with like geometry and direction and energy.
flow and kind of like feng shui as well so let's hear about the vedic perspective and vostu in this whole world
so what i like to call vastu is like the granddaddy of feng shui so a lot of these actually um how do i
say these mystical sciences were adopted to the chinese culture with their mythology with
their symbolism so you have um you know dragons snake rat dog uh
their zodiac and you have feng shui, you have wood and metal instead of earth and air, let's say.
So in Vastu, it's much more than just designing your inside of your home.
It is about architecture.
It is about you start from the very beginning of choosing the plot of land where you're going to build.
So it's also building its architecture and then designing the inside.
So Vastu is really a mystical science.
It's one of the five disciplines in Vedic knowledge that explain the state of human existence.
So yoga is one of them.
Music is one of them.
Yoga, music, astrology, and medicine.
Medicine would be Ayurveda.
Astrology would be Jotish, Vedic astrology.
And music is called Sangeet.
And all of them have their own sort of measuring units, if you want to say.
So music would like have rhythm and all the different units, but they all work within four parameters, vibration, wave, sound, and light.
To, in order to construct a perfect vastu, which would be a home, including the plot and the home, you need to understand those four parameters and how they interact with each other.
So there's a lot of physics, as I said, quantum mechanics, biochemistry, particle physics,
and the very basis of Vastu is two things.
It's the path of the sun and how it influences your home where we have the most thermal
activity and where we have the least.
And then you have the geomagnetic axis.
So you have the north-south axis and how.
these interact with each other.
So according to these, it is then determined which direction has the energy of which color, which planet.
Also very, very important in Vastu is the gods.
So there's a god associated with every direction, even like the smaller sections you have,
like the degrees actually where they are situated within your home.
So it is a very multi-layered complex system, I would say.
If you're an engineer that is great, you'll be able to understand this very much.
So it's not like on the outside we hear a lot about, you know, this direction.
It's best to have your bedroom.
They don't even say why.
How maybe they'll say, okay, because it's this planet's direction and this associated with these energies.
but there's also so much more behind it, you know, where these actual, where these subatomic particles get trapped, sort of when the geomagnetic line and the solar energy flux lines cross each other, these become nodes.
And in these nodes, these subatomic particles can get trapped and with time creates sort of a negative impact, radiation that will,
be working against life or like they won't be supporting of life.
Wow, you're making me think of in biogeometry, they talk about how you can basically use dowsing to find
like the laylines of the earth and then like you can also find faults so that are,
for whatever reason, they don't have an energy that's conducive to life. But conversely, there's also
power spots like these healing waters that we hear about lords and other places where it seems to be
in a very harmonious spot that on the earth that's actually conducive to life and health and
healing and all those things and that it is related in some way to the flow of energy in the
planet and that is affecting things that are on top of the planet which just kind of makes
sense from a first principle standpoint but I'm also thinking like there's probably something here
about like building materials as well and I'm just thinking in like the past century we've
moved away from natural materials to these synthetic materials that don't allow for
the flow of electrons, like they're not
semiconductors or conductors, like
you would experience with, like, wood,
metal, any natural leather,
any natural material will
facilitate the flow of charge.
And this is something I talk about a lot just
from like a grounding perspective for
health, but these materials
that block the grounding force and the
flow of charge are very new on
the scene. And do you know, have you
heard anything about like building materials and
differences in the use of specific
materials? And is there any commentary on, like,
modern materials and their role in creating issues or you know other phenomena that could be of
relevance here absolutely absolutely materials impact a lot um in vastu now we're talking about buildings
right home plot but there's also something that i like to call body vastu uh talk a little bit about
like your wristwatch and so on things that you can wear on your body also could make you the vastu the
There's actually a term called Vastu Purisha. It is a divine being that is said to live in your home.
And it is, it has like its hands like this and its feet also touching each other.
I don't know why, but I do that when I pray because I feel like I'm closing the electric circuit.
Yeah, that's true.
When you're around my feet together.
Homs, your feet on the earth, like the sphinx, like Dr. Jack Cruz talks about like be like the sphinx in the morning.
like all four extremities on the ground facing east for the sun.
But there's something there.
I think there is something about a circuit.
And also the tongue posture, I think,
plays a role in that circuit being complete as well,
if I remember correctly.
Viewing.
Yeah, basically.
Oh, that is amazing.
It's just, I love when it all comes together like that.
And when we're looking so that being, right,
it's living in your home.
And it is impacted by its head is in a,
certain direction and its feet are in a certain direction and its rectum as well so that
direction could sometimes be like seen as on you know its waist and this entrance
direction where its head is would be kind of like ingesting something so there are a lot of
rules as to which materials to use in building materials colors shapes also how much
like a vertical height is very important.
And there is basically a manual of how to build
where you need thicker walls,
so that'll be where you have more thermal activity,
right, where the path of the sun would be,
so that would be south, southeast, southwest direction.
And here you would build thicker walls
or you have more different kind of foundation
and you would have also more loading.
So you'd put heavy items or you would put sort of like a stone reinforcements on the edges there.
There's also a whole part about flooring, which material, which color especially.
I think this is probably one of the toughest things for Boss too, because, oh my God, imagine having to rip out all of your floors.
That is something that you, I think, cannot easily rectify.
You can easily remedy, like, if your bathroom is in a direction where most of it, most of the time it is.
Like, 99% of time, the bathrooms will be having a negative effect on some area of your life because you live there.
So this is impacting you.
And you said bathrooms are like where energy leaves the home.
It's like a sink.
Yeah, it should be like.
in the waste direction.
Yep.
Because it's the exit.
Something is being flushed away.
You don't want it to be your money, your divinity, your relationships, your savings,
your business.
So there are ways to easily remedy that.
So you don't have to rip out your whole bathroom.
But with the flooring and the materials, it's much harder.
it would just take you removing your whole floor and switching it.
So there's a lot of emphasis on the materials.
And when it comes to you as well, like your body acting as this vastu, like wearing natural
materials, either plant or animal, actually I think are better like silk, cashmere wool.
I know there's a lot of articles on that where they're saying, oh, this close.
has higher frequency and so on.
Yeah, I was thinking about that.
I feel like there needs to be more, more research there.
But yeah, that is along the lines.
And you mentioned the aspect of health.
It is huge for health.
And like you said, if the environment is not right,
it won't be conducive for healing.
So it could look like maybe you having a toilet
in the Northeast, which is a source direction.
and it could give you some issues, for example, with your head because the head of this divine being that lives in your home, the spirit of the home, let's call it that.
Its head is resting in the northeast.
It could be some neurological issues and something along those lines.
And how this is affecting you is because it comes into your conscious.
So you're seeing a big red couch somewhere or, I don't know, a painting of something that may not be, may not have such great symbolism like crashing waves or a war killing bloodshed, something like that.
While it may seem nice to have it in your home, it is first entering your field of view.
You're seeing it.
It's having an impact on you.
and it's interacting with your, we'll say, natal chart, your subconscious.
So there's also a branch where you have overlap of vastu in astrology is called
Astravastu.
And you're basically aligning the individuals' charts, so their planetary makeup, the zodiac
signs and so on, with their living space.
And there you can see which entrances are good for them if something is causing
loss or health issues and so on. But yeah, huge, huge impact of materials on the home, on you.
And of course, the aspect of health is huge. And there is also one, because Vasu is one of those
five disciplines that explain the human existence. And yoga is also one of them called
Yoga Shastra. So it's Vashtra, Yoga Shastra.
And you can actually offset the negative effects of a bad vasu.
So if you have a poor situation in terms of energy and directions in your home,
something is misplaced, toilets, bad entrance for you in the home,
you can actually offset the negative effects of that by practicing yoga shastra.
So practicing yoga, whether it's, you know, meditation,
certain breathing exercises and so on.
Because I mean yoga is also an art of or a science of geometry as well.
It's putting your body into specific geometries to allow energy to move through it in particular ways,
which makes total sense with regards to if you're in an environment or a house or a room or an office
that has, you know, energy that's not conducive to health and life,
that if you position yourself in a certain way that you might be able to handle that in a more effective way
that's going to externalize less harm to you.
I'm also thinking of some stories that I heard
about when, you know, settlers and basically, you know,
Europeans came to the U.S.,
and then, you know, we had the colonies
and then we ultimately, you know,
displaced a lot of the native populations
who were here in North America
and moved them on to basically settlements of some sort.
And I heard stories about,
and I can't remember where I heard this,
but I need to find it because I do think about it,
quite a bit and that is that when these natives were moved out of their homes that were apparently
very intentionally designed like their communities, their homes, the structures, the materials,
all of these things were very intentional. And they were moved into these very cookie cutter,
like drab, like a cultural settings that they described themselves as getting sick from being in those
homes, in those geometries. And it kind of, again, speaks to what you're talking about. And just how
this knowledge has kind of been baked into ancient cultures, very longstanding cultures.
And so now we're kind of rediscovering it, I feel like, through the modern lens, like a theme that I feel like I'm seeing in general is like the rediscovery of ancient knowledge and like the reembracing of that and bringing it into the modern life.
And there's just time and time again, we look across cultures.
We see these very similar, you know, themes and understandings around very complex physics.
frankly, that we're only just beginning to scratch the surface on through our modern lens.
Yeah. It is, the building aspect, it is so important. And when you see people, a lot of times will say,
you know, things are getting ugly, uglier every time with how the architecture, how the things are being built now.
and it's making everybody depressed and sad and sick and a lot of it has to do like i mentioned in the
beginning sun plays a huge part in this and so in the energy within these enclosed spaces where
there's ventilation where there are windows where the light can get in um so it's it is not it is
not conducive to it at all nowadays i feel like we just go for you know whatever is
the cheaper option for building for all these components and it just doesn't cut it and you asked me
you asked me also about the materials so yeah synthetic materials when you look at astrology something
that is let's say synthetic not natural would be connected to the north node of the moon this
illusionary planet and vedic astrologist called rahu and it usually has negative impacts so very negative
impact to health. It causes a lot of issues that are kind of mysterious that you on first,
like you can't really seem to solve. It causes a lot of fear, anxiety. It's very cerebral, I would
say, because it's considered the severed head of this demon in mythology. So a lot of these new
techie synthetic things.
are connected to that entity or, let's say, illusionary planet.
And its effects are, while it has some good effects like us right now talking,
this is not you seeing me in real life.
This is an illusion.
So we have cameras.
We have microphones.
We are not hearing the natural voice.
That is also a Rahu the North Node.
But it is helping us communicate.
So what can I say?
we are living in this world and we are getting a lot of great things from it, the ability to
contact people who are very, very far away, but also a lot of the negative effects, like what you
talk about a lot is the radiation, the blue light that is disrupting basically your sleep cycle.
That's why I'm wearing these.
I have to protect myself to have good sleep.
And it is basically an arch enemy.
So if you connect all these sort of negative qualities to this planet, illusionary planet, is not a real cosmic body.
It is a sort of position, a north note of the moon.
It is an arch enemy of the sun, which is vitality, which is health, and is super important for us.
It works...
Sorry, go ahead.
It just works against everything that sun is.
I'm also thinking of, like, Lucifer, like, kind of the false light or the light bringer.
And also, you could kind of think of that as, like, the god of electromagnetism in general,
which would include not only visible light, but also the non-visible, the non-native VMFs and all that.
And when you think about, I guess, kind of the two branches of a more, like, demonic force,
I guess Lucifer. There's pros and cons, obviously, to these, as you alluded to as well, but Lucifer and Aramon, Aramon being like the rigid structural materialistic world. And Lucifer being this electromagnetic existence that we're also living in, which is just so interesting to kind of tie these things together because as you say, there's benefits to harnessing this technology and using it. But using it in a way that is kind of unfettered and you're not necessarily.
informed about exactly how it's working and what it's doing, not only to your physical body,
but maybe even spiritually as well, I think is something interesting to contemplate because we
are fundamentally light beings as well. Like literally, every cell in our body is making light of
key frequencies. And if the environment's off, if, you know, your internal or external environment
is off, it changes which frequencies are emitted and created. It changes the coherence of those.
And obviously this is like the realm of like quantum biology, quantum physics.
But I think there's a huge overlap here what we're talking about with the quantum sciences that we're going to be able to see kind of develop, which is very interesting.
But I think it is ultimately kind of a rediscovery of what our ancestors already knew through their own scientific approaches to life.
And it's just kind of funny to see like the hubris of modern science and medicine and how it, you know, we're just told where.
at the pinnacle of existence better than ever before.
And it's like, but are we really?
Because I mean, I could definitely make an argument that like 90% of our science and medicine
advancements are solving problems that we created.
So is it really an advancement or is it kind of this circle jerk basically?
Oh my goodness.
You're so right.
You just reminded me of something.
I think it was an ancient Egypt.
There was some magical manual that so they didn't obviously have such tools that we have today for surgery and so on.
And I believe it looked as if it was like spellwork because it was about mending some injury and making an anesthetic, basically anesthesia, right?
And okay, we have anesthesia today.
and you think about how they were mixing.
It was, I think, blood of some animals and the urine of some animals.
And they were staring it a couple of times.
I think it was clockwise because clockwise would be like the positive, right?
Outcome and applying that and it worked.
I mean, it was actually very scientific.
There are records from all the different civilizations and cultures,
was Egyptian, Babylonian, of both predictive methods that are like very scientific, where they
recorded all, the king died at this, this, and this happened.
But also these sort of what seems like witchcraft, right?
But they were basically healing people.
So they had to perform surgery and they had to somehow numb the pain.
So they were mixing, I don't know, pigs, blood, whatever animal it was, and urine and all sorts
bodily fluids and applying it in order to help heal this person, right, to do a surgery.
It must have been some sort of ancient chemistry, though.
Like, you could probably think about it through this lens, like, okay, what molecules are
in blood versus urine, like urea, for example, or maybe something with iron or whatever
there is in the blood that could be synergizing with whatever is in the urine and actually
creating an effect.
and there was something else that I was going to say that escaped my mind,
but just something to the effect of like,
there was a lot of recipes within ancient Greece, ancient Egypt,
that were highly specific, like very, very specific,
visibly for a specific reason.
I mean, they wouldn't have used it if it didn't do something.
And I think looking at that through the modern lens
could probably also bring us some interesting insights around, like,
maybe chemistry and like as it relates to the healing sciences that we don't even understand today.
The other thing I was going to mention actually is Becker's work. He did some studies using
strong magnetic fields to anesthetize rats, salamanders. And ultimately he proved that it would be
doable in humans as well. Also the use of acupuncture as anesthesia, which was used in traditional
Chinese medicine. And there was actually a team. I think it was, I want to say it was
Truman's presidency, but I could be wrong. This was like in the 60s, I believe. They went over to
China and they were studying Chinese approaches to health and medicine and they found that they
were using acupuncture as a way to anesthetize people for different surgeries and that it worked.
And so then Becker got this huge grant funding to study how it was working. And he went on to
prove that the acupuncture points and the meridian lines existed and they were electromagnetic.
in nature and he could detect them reliably across individuals.
And so obviously we're here relying on like very strong barbiturates and other chemicals that have a lot
of tradeoffs when you're putting people under versus using something like acupuncture or
a strong DC magnetic field to put somebody under.
And once you remove that stimulus, they're perfectly fine like they were never under.
There's no lag period.
So it's just pretty crazy, like kind of how far behind we are relative to where we should be,
given the knowledge that's been accumulated over time, you know, from antiquity through today.
But it seems like there are definitely forces at play that don't want us remembering our past in a way.
Like they're very against us realizing our history because, I mean, there's just so much insight there and wisdom to be had there.
And, you know, I think this goes back a long, long ways too.
But I think the burning of the library of Alexandria obviously was an example of this, like hiding the past.
and the knowledge. But from an astrological standpoint, is there a specific, um, like,
celestial body that is related to like, well, I guess Scorpio is like related to a cult knowledge
and like hidden knowledge being unveiled? But what do you think is going on there? Are there
anything like specifically with regards to like long transits that you think are related
to kind of what's coming to light now? Yeah. Yeah. I think, um, so I'm going to say the, the Ciderio,
position. I think it is Neptune. Neptune currently being a conjunct Saturn and it's it's a little bit
tough with these outer planets. The more far they are the less we understand that the more mystical
they are and also when you see them in a chart it will be relating to something some some weird quirks
that a person may have if they have like Uranus conjunct their moon or Neptune,
something that's outside of the norm.
And what I think is significant right now that siderely,
Saturn and Neptune are both in Pisces.
And Pisces is where, Pisces is the exit.
Pisces is dissolution.
It's like melting down something, like melting the exit.
like melting the illusion away.
Because you're at that exit, you're so close to the other side.
And they are in pretty early degrees right now, and they're both retrograde.
So meaning that they are moving backward from our perspective,
even though they're realistically, they're not moving backward.
So we have still quite a bit for Saturn, especially two and a half years.
So 2027, 2028, until it goes.
and starts a new cycle in Ares.
So they're both together at the very last zodiac sign of Pisces,
which is of liberation of melting away the illusion,
of releasing that.
And when Saturn and Neptune come together,
Neptune itself would be sort of the fog.
You're not seeing the real thing.
But with Saturn and Neptune together,
it's actually dispelling that.
So these are very slow-moving planets.
and people have been for the well for quite a bit now seeing you know through that illusion
you know waking up there's a lot of videos on youtube talking about ascension and so on
yeah yeah i think that would be the what's really giving the results that we're seeing now
yeah it's very interesting and a lot of it does feel more
collective in nature. So that kind of relates also to the outer planets, less of like the personal
experience and more of like the transcendent like collective experience that we're all kind of being
dragged through whether we like it or not. And some people are waking up more quickly than others for
sure. And I think COVID was a huge catalyst for that as well, like seeing through the veil,
so to speak and the kind of the shortcomings of our power structures and, you know, our authority structures
and just seeing through to the flaws and realizing that we need to kind of take personal responsibility
and educate ourselves and not appeal to authority as much.
And that's been something I kind of been on this path my whole life just because I've been so
kind of harmed by the medical system from literally like two years old.
So from a very early age, I was like, I want nothing to do with any of you.
And I'm going to figure this stuff out by myself.
So as it relates to astrology, maybe we can talk about that a little bit since we were talking about Vastu, but from the Vedic astrology lens, what are some like, maybe like top three things that you would like people to know or more, whatever you want to describe, about how Vedic astrology can help you understand yourself, your role in the world, like elevate you to becoming more of who you are.
and just like the value in incorporating astrology into your life in some way.
Oh boy, where do I start?
The three big things.
Well, one of the major differences is, but I'll say there's a disclaimer.
So you've already mentioned how a lot of these things, this knowledge is being hidden away from us.
We're always trying to, we're being distracted by other things.
It's being watered down, dumbed down. Popular media is making fun of popular culture, you know, making fun of astrology, of, you know, spiritual woo-woo people.
We have all sorts of examples. And having said that, I don't think Vedic astrology is that different from the other astrologies, the Western astrology.
It is just that it has been covered up so much that it seems as more of the Western astrology knowledge has been lost and it needs to be uncovered again.
Whereas with Vedic astrology, it seems as it was never hindered because we have this knowledge freely available off the constellations of all these different techniques and so on.
So it may seem that Vedic astrology is more profound because of that.
It is incredibly complex.
But I think it's just that in the Western perspective, it's been buried.
I feel like it's more freely practiced and taught in Asia, so in the eastern world.
In that way, I don't think it's very much different from other astrological directions.
And there's one big thing, obviously.
It's taking in account procession.
So shifting our point of view as the Earth slowly moving,
the rotation of the Earth slowly moving in our point of view of the stars.
Every 72 years, it goes one degree backwards.
So there is a significant difference now
between the sidereal sort of Vedic astrology system
versus the popular Western astrology, tropical astrology, the discrepancy being 24, almost 25 degrees, actually.
So around 2,000 years ago, they were actually following the same calculations.
And I blame the Greeks a little bit for this, but there are different stories about, you know, how astrology came to the West and so on, how the system was developed and,
and came into what we know now.
I blamed him for copying some of the symbols
of the zodiacs incorrectly and maybe,
you know, taking the charts, not updating them
as being the result of this discrepancy that we have now
in the systems.
And okay, having said all that as a disclaimer,
I think Vedic astrology can offer a lot
to somebody who is looking to
live in alignment because it states that your natal chart, which there are actually many, many,
many versions. There's one main natal chart in Vedic astrology and there are these divisional
charts which are literally have one devoted to your children, siblings, wealth, which is talking
about your wealth accumulation of to what extent it can go, what you have, what you can, where
you're possible to accumulate in this life. Your spouse, married life, all of it. But the most
incredible thing about it, I think it is, is these remedies. So I think we tend to talk a lot about
personalities and, oh yeah, you are this moon. So you are talkative and outgoing and business
minded. But there are certain remedies according to your natal chart, which is a sort of picture of
your subconscious, how you can get into alignment with it and the cosmos, therefore, and sort of
unlock some things in your life. We're all suffering, you know. I think that's one of the
most pronounced features of being alive is the suffering that we go through.
through. So whether it's from your love life or your business or your thinking about your purpose and
your beliefs, there are remedies, practical ones that you can employ to sort of unclog that energy.
And as soon as you're living in alignment with the positions that you were born under, so whatever
was happening in the sky at the moment you were born, it unlocks that. So I think that is
definitely the most wonderful thing about Vedic astrology.
You have, I will give an example.
So one of my clients, it was like I was just starting out and I was using a technique that is connected to the constellations.
So in Vedic astrology, after the 12 zodiac signs, you have actually 27 constellations that are contained within these zodiac signs that more closely
describe the nature of them.
So that's why you don't not have two Capricorns that are exactly the same.
There are three different constellations than Capricorn.
So there will be very different individuals into different things.
They will have the same kind of general theme, you know, of Capricorn,
which would be Saturnian, you know, ambitious, into progress,
into building their career and profession and so on.
But then you have those smaller sections.
called Lakshatra these constellations inside and using them i saw that in this uh woman's charge
she had a correlation of her income stream and her health particularly her teeth so what i employed there
as a practical remedy i would say i asked her first do you have any teeth issues she's like oh not
that i know of i was like just just go for a checkup you know for a cleaning and see what you have and
she's like, oh, there was actually some like cavity under some filling or something and that she
wasn't getting actually any pain from or anything. But it was there. And after that, her text is like,
I went to fix my teeth. There was a cavity. And now like I can't stop spending my money. Like it doesn't,
because she was having an issue with kind of spending before the end of the month, you know,
not having enough for all of her needs. And she's like, yo, now I can't actually spend all of it.
like I'm unable to. So these are the sort of connections that are being made in your natal chart.
And this works on, for example, seeing the lordship. Okay, maybe you're Torres ascendant,
which means Venus rules your first house. First house is your ascendant. That is the sign that was
rising on the eastern horizon at the time that you were born. So you look at the rulerships
in the different houses and where that planet goes.
So for example, if you're Torres ascendant and your Venus goes into the second house and Venus is money and second house is also money and things that we value, there's a connection between your body and your income.
So if you are perhaps not keeping in good shape, you're not going to the gym, you are not taking care of your health, you may be suffering financially because of that.
So for tourists, it's actually financial hygiene is like their health, I say.
I say like, I'm praying for all the tourists out there that don't have savings
because it is accumulation of wealth, the second house, you know, things we value and we store,
like the storage of food, for example, that is sustenance.
So now it's more like money, let's say.
And if you don't have that, it will kind of wreak havoc on your health.
or if your moon is there, it will create sort of an anxiety, you know, if you don't, if you know
that you don't have enough in your savings or you don't like have an emergency fund as a tourist
moon, that could be making a lot of anxiety, especially if you have mollific impact on that moon.
So this is sort of the, these are examples of how you would use Vedic astrology to unlock some
things in your life, to remedy some things, whether it's your health, your work, your relationships
with anybody in your life.
You can see anybody from your chart, really.
And those are the most amazing things, most fun things for me,
is seeing that change.
And actually, the feeling that you get when you start doing those things,
maybe you're activating something with like taking care of yourself
or going to the gym or traveling or you're aligning with the energy of the planets.
And then you're not getting the negative impact that they would,
they have to exert their energy somehow.
So it has to reach you.
So if you kind of intercept that and you live in alignment with that,
it will give you positive effects.
I love it.
And you actually reminded me that there was something I wanted to mention a little bit earlier
when we were talking about architecture as it relates kind of to the planets.
I was just thinking about how like modern architecture is completely devoid of like Venusian energy.
And especially in the home or like, let's say you have an apartment or, you know,
a home or a townhouse or whatever it is.
but it's like this new build, very angular, very gray, very just like devoid of personality and of beauty.
And the impact that that can have on you, because as you've explained, maybe not in this podcast,
but certainly separately in our conversations, the home is supposed to be Venusian.
It's supposed to be about relationships and love and aesthetics and harmony.
And if we are not evoking that energy through the way that our home is designed or decorated and just like,
orchestrated, then it can create issues as it relates to Venus in our lives. And I think it's just,
it's so interesting to think about things like that. And maybe, maybe something that we can talk about
a little bit is how we can harness the energy of each day of the week as it relates to like the
planetary ruler and like some, a couple things that people can do on each day to help enhance the
energy of that planet. Awesome. I think, yeah, that is awesome. We can go from Monday or actually
start with Sunday because Sunday is rolled by the sun is number one but before we go
on to that I just want to say yes the Venus is connected to your home and Venus is also
the main entrance door that's why I say you have to make it beautiful and your home
Venus which also signifies financial wealth like cash currency it will not want to
come and stay in your home if there's also discord between family members you're
not eating together second house the ingestion of food
Venus it's cooking its food if there's not you know like nice music playing nice
sense colors like white or blush cream beige and just joy you know creative
creative joy as well because Venus is creativity in the home then it
definitely won't be so eager to come and bless you with its significance
which is connected to all the Venusian things
things, money, convenience, everything that everybody wants, you know, comforts and love, relationships.
And let's start from, so the days of the week, starting from Sunday.
This is something that also, I think, is kind of part of this, what I would call agenda of getting
us as far away as possible from our nature.
shifting the first day of the week to Monday, so Monday, very weird.
I know that in Asia in some parts, I think it's the Middle East, they still use Sunday as the first day of the week.
So the non-working days are Friday and Saturday, which makes more sense to me.
So we start with Sunday.
Number one, the numerology is number one, sun is the king.
It's number one.
It's the king of our solar system.
it's the son. So that would be a great day to connect, especially with family, because son
rose the fifth house. The original fifth house is connected to Leo, and it's children and progeny.
So Leo people want to have huge families unless there's like an infliction happening or something.
They want to have a lot of children. They want to have that connection.
So Sunday is great for connecting with anybody, especially with your family.
and also creative pursuits because again fifth house and the sign of leo it is creating um and in a lot of
different civilizations and cultures the solar god the solar deity um has the most importance it is placed
as the central sort of deity and and power because where would we be without the sunlight
that will be the end of it all that would be the end of us all you hear that bill gates
Oh boy. I think he doesn't need sun for some reason. I'm not going to go into it right now.
Reptillion.
Yeah.
So Sunday would be really great for that.
Then we have Tuesday, which is connected to Martian energy.
This is a great day to do any sort of exercises, any work with machinery, because
Mars is connected to machines and in a way our body when you're working it out it's like a
machine you're sweating you know you get the get get the gears going so anything starting anything
basically that you're trying something new where you're going against your fear so being fearless
because Mars is warrior warrior in an army so he's all about that ambition and action
the willpower, your energy, anything that is connected to the body, any type of exercising,
moving the body, or taking on new things in your life. So starting something new is great.
And also donating blood. Mars signifies blood and also it signifies cuts and needles.
So donating blood on a Tuesday is really great. I practice it myself because it also plays
along with the remedy
at some transits when you're
especially for people that are bars ruled
and have a prominent Mars
oh it is so great
when you're feeling like you're frustrated
and like you're going to just go crazy
and you can't sleep and so on
it's a great thing to do
and also since it's fire
it would be cooking you know cutting
and cooking
then Wednesday like today
we did skip Monday? Yes we did skip Monday
Sunday
because I say
I put the, yeah, you're right, because I put Sunday as first day of the week.
So Monday would be second, and it's also number two.
Moon is connected to number two vibration.
Great for starting any sort of medicine, any sort of healing,
visiting places with bodies of water because it's connected to the water element.
Traveling, moon is always changing.
So any sort of travel, because it's movement and change of your environment,
you're changing.
So travels, starting, start.
taking any medicines there hanging out with your mom Sunday would be hanging out with your dad and your
family because it's connected to father and authorities or government establishments and so on.
Moon would be connected to the mother or the eldest sister. So spending time with them,
it's women, mostly it will be like any, any woman, but mother and eldest sister. Any sort of change.
we've also um it's interesting how moon is also connected to the financial markets because it's
always it has that ebb and flow you know it's always changing so a full moon and a new one new moon
will correspond with people's behaviors on buying and selling uh on the financial markets you had a
story about bitcoin like yesterday right yeah yeah yeah what i saw approaching the full moon that it will go down
and then approaching the new moon it will go up yeah so it's three days before
three days before the full moon, you will see sort of a decline.
And I was, when I got into the app and I saw this in the red, I'm like, oh, yes, because
today, 5th November is the full moon, depending on where you are, you know.
But then going up to the new moon, so three days before.
So after the full moon is already now starting to gain power again, because the moon is
this waning. And then coming up to the new moon, it would be sort of at its peak. So you'd be in the
green. And you can check this out with anything for crypto, for stocks, for index, everything.
It works. So because moon is that change, you know, it's always changing. The mind is always changing.
Then after Monday, we have Tuesday. I already explained for Mars. Mars is connected to number nine
energy. Then this is so I know there are different systems and there could be different
in numerology, but this is from the Vedic perspective. So from the Eastern knowledge. After that,
we have Wednesday. So Mercury Day, amazing for doing anything like podcasts, live streams,
anything that is social, social media, learning, because Mercury is your intelligence. So learning
and teaching, even though I would say maybe teaching would be more Thursday because it's Jupiter.
It's so funny that you say that because every course that I've ever taught, I either have lessons
on Wednesdays or Thursdays, but I personally find that Thursday lessons go the best for me.
That's amazing because Jupiter is the father of Mercury, and he will always win over Mercury.
He's older, wiser, and I think it's called Guru. So Guru is basically a teacher.
So for teaching, I would say it would be more Thursday.
And Mercury, so Wednesday it would be more for learning, writing, sending any type of messages,
emails, anything corresponding with anyone hanging out with your cousins.
So socializing, basically.
And manifesting because, manifesting is Mercury because most of the time we are writing or saying something.
So Mercury is both writing and like stationary.
any items, stationary items, and also speech.
So manifesting is great for Wednesdays, especially if you're Mercury ruled, if you're Gemini or
Virgo, or you have Mercury in your first house, or you're going through Mercury period.
Do it on Wednesdays, okay? That will have amazing effects.
Also, people might remember that, like, in Greek and Roman mythology, Mercury or Hermes was the
only God that could traverse from the physical plane to the heavens. And so anything that takes
something from the intangible to the tangible is totally, you know, the ballpark of Mercury.
So that makes a ton of sense from a manifestation standpoint as well.
Absolutely. Absolutely. I'm glad you added that in. I was playing this video game that is connected
to mythology. Really? It's always mentioned. Yeah, it's called Hades. Cool. It's Greek mythology.
And you always, when you talk to the god, these sort of Olympian gods bestow boons on you so you can
escape from your dad from Hades, another world. And it's always mentioned. And it's always mentioned.
mentioned how Mercury or Hermes is the one who can, you know, who's going, who's the messenger between these two realms.
After that, so we have Thursday, which is connected to Jupiter or Guru, and it's also connected to the south node of the moon, which is called in Vedic astrology as K2.
And it is, K2 is very spiritual.
It's very, it is, I would say Jupiter is not entire, it's not very, even though it rules Pisces as well, the 12th
house, it rules the ninth house of Sagittarius, which is more religious, philosophical,
whereas Pisces is more spiritual. And Ketu is very spiritual, very occult, very hidden knowledge.
So when I say the occult, I mean like astrology, Vastu, von Schwey, any ancient knowledge
like palmistry, occult would be taro as well, doing anything with like crystals, meditation,
also because it's hidden knowledge.
That is what occult means.
It means hidden.
So it's hidden knowledge.
That could be great,
since there might be interest for that,
that doing those things would actually also be good on Wednesday
because Mercury is also.
Because it goes from these two realms,
it is also connected to, in a way, to occult,
Mars as well.
And then you have Saturn and K2.
But in a different respect, they are connected.
So Thursday, Jupiter, great again for hanging out with children, for teaching, learning,
any sort of pilgrimages, anything that's connected to religious pursuits or philosophical,
learning, studying, especially reading of sacred texts, so religious texts, spiritual texts.
That is great for Thursday.
But yeah, big, big, big emphasis on the learning and teaching.
Wednesday and Thursday are perfect for that.
Then we have Friday, my favorite day.
It is Venus's Day.
All about women, all about everything, luxury, comfort, everything that is convenient.
And there are a lot of remedies for this, especially for women.
I always say, you know, for women, it is doing that for yourself.
because Venus is women. So if you're nourishing yourself, if you're going for a facial,
something to beautify your body, feeding yourself, going to some kind of nice restaurant,
that is activating your Venus. But for a man, since men are Mars, it would be treating Venus. So
treating the Venus is in your life, treating the women in your life. Listen up. Yeah, especially your wife.
Like that's why I say happy wife, a happy life is very true for Venus.
If you are as a man with certain positions where you have Venus conjunct some of your planets,
it would mean that treating your wife with luxury, with abundance and so on,
would then give you benefits in your business, in your career, in your health, or anything like that.
So it comes back to those sort of connections in a chart and the remedies.
So Venus amazing for anything, what you're doing to her face, to beautify your face, because
Stores the second house is the face.
And also it's the mouth.
So eating, luxurious, you know, going to a luxury restaurant, eating amazing foods.
Also it would be like singing, doing something creative, buying flowers.
There are so many great things you can do on Friday.
Beautiful ones.
Then we have Saturday, which I think is.
it has a little bit of a stigma, but because it's Saturn's day.
And it's also Rahoo's day.
So these nodes of the moon, they're considered as the most mollific,
along with Mars and Saturn.
They are the most mollific.
And then the north node of the moon, its energy is prevalent in the late part of Saturday.
So Saturday night.
And you know, all sorts of interesting things happen on a Saturday night.
So if you want to go crazy partying, ingesting all sorts of substances, that is what the North Node is connected to.
So any stimulants, actually coffee also is connected to the North Node.
Anything that stimulates your brain, alcohol, drugs, smoking, anything that you're taking.
That is good for Saturday night.
Do it at, you know, at your own incentive.
So I'm not promoting anything.
But Saturday, Saturn being Saturn, Saturday is great for doing your chores, kind of knocking
things off your to-do list, anything that is productive, even though it's a non-working
day, both in, I would say, like, the East, since they have Friday and Saturday as non-working
days as the weekend.
And in Western culture, it's also part of the weekend, along with Sunday.
There's a fear that doing things on a Saturday will be inauspicious, that it will give negative.
results. So
I stick to
kind of doing chores mostly.
So doing your laundry, vacuuming,
all sort of stuff.
Not doing many of the things
that we mentioned for the other days of the week.
Do you have any idea
how the Friday-Saturday
versus Saturday-Sunday split came
to be, like culturally?
Oh, there was, I was
studying a little bit on this.
I think it was
it was coupled with shifting off the calendar as well.
It all falls on the Roman emperors, messing everything up.
Shifting, shifting to that.
It's, yeah, I think about it a lot.
You know, it lives rent-free in my head
because it makes all the sense for sun, number one,
Sunday being the first day of the week.
you're starting with that with that source energy right sunlight that you're getting that then
helps everything else grow um so i believe it was um it had to do with rule ruling off a certain emperor
or king that basically impose this on everybody and that's just how it stayed we have so many
so many different historical examples for these things with the calendars with the days of the week
certain belief systems all that sort of thing also i want to say yeah go on no no you go it's okay
with saturday it's also great for well um meditation uh because saturn it's it rules yes it rules
capricorn and a querias 10th and 11th house but it is the significator so in vedic astrology we have
something called Karka. So it's a significator of eight, sixth, eighth and twelfth house, the
malific, the naughty houses. And because it is the 12th and the 8th house, Saturday is a great time
to do your occult things, to do your meditation, to do your devotion, as well as Sunday, because Sunday
is divinity, you know, as the sun god is, and the sun always considered being divinity, Sunday is also
great for that. So any like worship, any devotion and so on. Saturday would be more on the hidden
side. So like more eighth house things. So there we are. We closed the week with that. I love it.
I was kind of thinking that it kind of would make most sense if we just had all Friday, Saturday,
Sunday and Monday to be honest. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my God. Monday is it's hard because it's Monday.
I think maybe a lot of people.
It depends on your chart again.
Hate Monday because it's moon day.
And moon is always going up and down.
So it's not consistent, right?
It doesn't have sort of a straight line.
But it's turpulent.
It's always changing.
I mean, I personally find on Mondays I like don't really do anything.
Like I just kind of do what I feel like doing.
I don't like have a structured schedule of like I have to do these things.
So I just won't do it.
I know myself enough.
Yeah, you, it's, you know, you don't have to know all these things.
You, you feel it.
You always have something, you know, that little voice that is telling you, you know,
maybe I should do it some other day.
And then you end up doing your lessons on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
See, exactly.
And I actually think it's really interesting because you were talking about like Saturday nights
and like the substances use and like the crazy things and Fridays like date night and, you know,
fun like night with a loved one.
I feel like we can see these patterns play out just naturally.
People know nothing about astrology.
Like it just happens as like a phenomenon that's working through us
versus like us intellectually doing it.
So you're probably engaging in these energies whether you knew it or not.
And now, of course, you'll be a little conscious of it.
But it's very interesting to see.
It is amazing.
And I always say to people who don't know any astrology,
I tell them, you know astrology.
And I'll prove it to you.
Well, tell me, which.
color would Mars be associated with? And they say red. Okay, we call it the red planet, but then I say
which colors would you associate with Venus? Well, pink. Okay, yes, it is pink. Which things would you
associate? Oh, well, beauty. Okay, yes, it is beauty and is women. Because I think that there are a lot of
these things that are in popular culture, you know, especially with Venus and Mars. I think that's the
easiest because there's that famous book that is written, you know, the men from Mars, Venus,
women are from Venus. So there are these little quantities of this esoteric knowledge that is interwoven
in the society. So you can very naturally connect these things. If the sun is the king of our
solar system, then it's also considered as giving kingly qualities to somebody who has like
sun and Leo or like exalted sun or has Leo somewhere prominent or a very strong sun.
It will give these like royal vibes in a way. So I think everybody, everybody knows it and
everybody can connect to it. And I always say when we were little, we were going after these
things naturally. And then when you grow up, maybe you go and get a consultation.
from an astrologer and they tell you
that you should be doing exactly the thing
that you were doing so freely and effortlessly
when you were a child.
Whether it's being an artist
or being an engineer or
changing your career path
and then you're like
you're not surprised
but you may be surprised that this person
knows that how did they come to that
how did they make that prediction
but you always know you have it in you
we're just reading that subconscious
your subconscious brain as a little map with these energies placed in certain ways.
And then I know what Venus means.
I know what the fourth house means.
I know which aspect they're making.
We know it all.
Yeah.
It is just there are levels to how open we are to receiving this knowledge.
I love that.
And so, I mean, this is a good place to wrap up for now, though.
I think we should definitely do it again.
But can you share with people how they can find you?
and what kind of offerings you have if they want to work with you as well.
Yeah, sure.
I'm reachable on my Instagram account.
It's my full name and last name, Paulina Zetina.
And I offer most of the stuff that I do is career ratings and money ratings.
So we're focusing on Saturn and Venus.
And also I do sort of general overview of people who want to make their first step into Vedic astrology
and looking at their charts.
So there's also a sort of general overview of your birth chart.
And then what I do with Vastu, there's also a level where we're doing some general things
where we're fixing the most common things that are making trouble in your home,
like your kitchen, the elements, you know, the water, the fire, and where they're positioned.
And then we have also the advanced Vostu where we're actually looking at colors and shapes
and the pictures you have in your home and what you have in your yard, all of those things.
So those are the things that I mainly deal with.
It's Vostu, which is the granddaddy of Fanchui and Natick astrology.
I love it.
And I just had a Vostu reading with Polina on the weekend, and I have a handful of remedies to do.
And I'm really excited.
I'll share with you guys as I implement them and like any changes that I notice, it's going to be very exciting.
But thank you so much for your time, Polina.
This was amazing.
We could definitely go on forever and ever, I think, about different aspects that we didn't even get into, like mythology and ruins and like a bunch of fun of cult stuff.
And I think we should do that sometime. But for now, I just want to thank you so much for your time. I know it's getting late there. And hopefully we can talk again soon.
Yeah, I can't wait. Next time we're going to do everything about the sun. We're going to just sun masterclass.
I love that. Let's make it happen.
Yeah. Thank you so much, Dr. Alexis, for inviting me in your podcast.
It was a pleasure. Thank you. All right, guys. We're signing off. Bye.
