Hello, fellow gamers, and welcome to the video gamers podcast.
Today, we dive into Dispatch, the indie game superhero comedy sensation that's taken the internet by storm.
But first, some introductions are in order.
I am your host, Ace, and joining me, he's usually a hero himself.
leading a team on the front lines
but today he's been demoted to my
water boy
it's Josh
that's some high quality
H2O
my mama
my mama sand
you gotta say hydrated
wait oh wrong water boy
sorry sorry
that's the
yeah
my mama mama mama mama
my mama said
alligator is an ornery creatures
It's because they got all them teeth and no tooth bush.
We can just do a water boy up in a stone, man.
Oh, no.
Bobby Boucher.
Yeah, the only thing he wanted to dispatch was his brain from his skull when I told him we were diving this game.
It's Ryan.
Ain't no water in this gun.
How many times did we have to check on Ryan,
make sure Ryan was playing dispatch.
I think four or five times, genuinely.
We had to make sure he played the game.
You're using that word playing very loosely, guys.
Oh, we're getting into it already?
Yeah.
No, no, let us do his thing.
Let us do his thing.
All right, all right, all right.
All right. Did any of you just first and foremost,
does everyone remember dispatch?
Like, we've talked about a few times dispatches come up.
We've brought it up when we got the first trailer,
and then we got the second trailer.
We just played it.
What do you mean do we remember it?
I'm just saying, do you remember...
I'm like, I'm old, but my memory's not that bad.
I literally just beat it like two days ago.
I was just going to bring up...
We brought up that it was an episodic release game,
and we finally waited all this time for all the episodes to drop
so we can play it.
What was that game that we played for the podcast where it had, like,
the superheroes?
Do you remember that game?
There was like some superheroes.
I don't remember a mother trucker?
I don't know what you're talking about.
Do you remember when we brought up dispatch in the pad or whatever?
I got no clue, man.
Y'all some punks, all right?
I don't know what you're on.
Yes.
Oh, you mean the superhero game that just came out that we just played?
Yeah, that game.
The game that's taken the entire world by storm.
I do remember this one.
It looked kind of like a movie, but it was like a video game.
Yes, in theory, it is a video game.
In theory.
In theory.
Ryan's doing heavy air quotes for people that are listening here.
For those unaware, dispatches
is a game that looks like
the TV show Invincible
would be the closest I would say
art style to its looks
yeah art style wise
where it's more of a team management sim
slash story driven game
kind of like
what are you looking at me
what
like the Walking Dead or
the Wolf Amongers and things like that
okay story driven narrative
you make a few choices
yeah it's less of a
interactive the narrative
story component very very very
minimal gameplay elements.
Yeah, very minimal
gameplay elements. It's all about
this story where the story is
you are playing as this, I don't want
to say a rip-off, Iron Man
like character called
Mecca Man as you've lost your
suit and this
company has offered to rebuild
your suit if you will be the
dispatcher for their new Phoenix program
which takes superheroes
or takes super villains and makes them
into superheroes, then dispatches them on the
ground.
What do you guys think of this game in general?
Just like the whole premise.
Josh, you go first.
You want me to go first?
Oh, man.
All right.
Well, that's a lot of pressure, man.
Because, like, this game is, I'm just going to set the table a little bit.
This game is being praised on Steam.
Very highly praised.
The last time I checked, it was overwhelmingly positive on Steam with, like, a lot of reviews.
It was at, like, 97.
percent. Now, I will say this. I loved the Telltale Walking Dead games. I love, like, narrative-based games, like Firewatch. I am okay. As much as people are like, Josh, we know you love like chaos and all this stuff. Like, I actually quite enjoy a good narrative-based game. But you got to call it a game for a reason. And we will talk about the gameplay element.
to Dispatch.
Yeah.
I will say this.
There ain't much gameplay here.
And I seem to recall like the Walking Dead, the Telltale Walking Dead games having like more gameplay elements than this.
I feel like Dispatch is the lightest gameplay element narrative game that I think I've ever played.
It is definitely lighter than those games.
I was going to say it's, uh, in those games, at least you do take control of your character.
at some point just to explore 3D environments.
That never really happens with this batch.
You're kind of just following the story, making the choices and the dialogue,
and then we'll get to what the actual gameplay elements are.
Yeah.
But Ryan, I know you've got a lot to say, so.
Well, first, I want to know what do you guys think I thought of this game?
Basically, like, you hated it is what it got from all the comments of, uh...
I'm going the other way.
I think Ryan is trying to do a little whoopsie-daisy, and I think Ryan actually
went up liking this game, but he's trying to pretend like he didn't like this game.
You talk to dokey-doki-doki?
Maybe, because we didn't know, like I said, at the top of the episode, we had to check in on Ryan.
We had to check in on Ryan and be like, Ryan, are you playing dispatch?
We have to cover this in a couple days, and we know how Ryan is just easily distracted with
arc raiders, you know, and so we were like, Ryan, you got to play.
dispatch. And then I happen to look before recording at Ryan's steam to see which
achievements, I think Ryan has more achievements than I got. And I beat this game. And I'm like,
wait a minute. I think Ryan might be trying to like, like to do the old switcheroo on us. So
I'm saying I think Ryan liked this more than he'll, he's letting on. Well, we'll find out at
the end of the episode, I guess. But. I guess to the end. Yeah, going to wait till the end.
I mean, I was going to wait to the...
Tell Ace says, hey, guys, let me know what you're talking.
Go ahead. Tell us now. I want to know.
Oh, well, yeah, I think I have to tell you now because I freaking love this game, dude.
Yeah, I do it.
This was so sick.
This was one absolutely far and away.
I almost, I finished seven straight episodes.
And then I was falling asleep in my chair and I was like, I can't do the last one.
I'll do it on Sunday.
I almost ground out this whole thing in one sitting.
This was one of the sickest experiences I've ever been on, dude.
This was dope, and I was trying to play you guys.
I even talked to our Homeboy, Legendary Jake, and he baited A-Sin a little bit.
He said he had a talk with him about telling him how I hated it.
He warned me, you said, you hate it.
Dude, I, I freaking love this, quote-unquote game.
I'm not going to call it a game, because it was really just a TV show.
It's an experience.
It was so sick.
Dude, I'm excited to, like, dive into this, but this TV show,
was fantastic. I absolutely loved it. I wish I made some different decisions and went down some
different paths. But everything I experienced, dude, it was, I, I haven't sat in a, in a chair
and giggled. Like, I giggled. Then I was like, oh, that was kind of lame. Like, I'm just
sitting there by myself and I'm just giggling. And then I was like, oh, why am I giggling? It was just,
it was so good. I, I laughed. I cried. I felt emotions. I felt anger. Like, it
everything. I am beyond
amazed at what they created
and I'm so stoked to see what else
they can do, dude. This game
is, uh, is, is, is, it's
an honestly, it's an all-timer for this year,
let alone kind of overall.
It was, it was sick.
I, I am with Ryan
on this one, dude. I'm not even going to hide
it at this point since we're just spilling the beans
this, really, dude.
It was, dude, I tried,
I tried to do a little misdirection with like
the gameplay stuff, but look, I, I don't, I don't
need that. I knew what I was getting into. I knew what I was getting into there. I knew that
there were very, very minimal gameplay elements to this. This is a TV show, plain and simple.
So every game around there, every game or out there, if you're like, well, I wonder if I'm going to
like this, you have to be content to just sit and watch eight cartoon episodes where you
occasionally click a button or maybe wiggle your mouse once or twice and that's it. If you're
okay with that. This is an experience that you absolutely want to experience. Dude, this might be,
this might be one of the best shows I've seen in years. Dude, I'm just going to call it a show.
Yes. It's a show. It's a show. Because, dude, the characters were incredible, memorable. The voice
acting might be some of the best voice acting. I think I have seen in a, in a game ever.
Far and away. Ever. The, you are instantly invested.
in these characters they do such a good job of like making these superheroes feel like normal people
you start to really become invested in the story it's got some weird like almost like you know there's
romance in this game so you start to kind of care about the characters and then you're like yeah but
what about that character in the game's like no no no no this character and you're like yeah but
what about and the game's like no no no you know so but it's like it's like ryan said dude you will laugh
you will cry you will be
you know that kind of thing you'll be like
I knew it and then you'll be like oh wait I didn't know it
oh I knew it no no it keeps you guessing
my goodness dude
it's incredible dude
yeah I wanted to get everyone's like
opinion of it out of the way before we
dive into it so we can actually talk about some of our
experiences some of the choices we made
things like that and everyone kind of
has an idea but before we do that
I just want to give the disclaimer
this game is very mature.
Yes.
This game is for adults.
Yep.
And it is a narrative game, so we're going to have to talk about the narrative.
Yeah.
So there will be spoilers.
It's unavoidable.
So this episode will also be for adults.
So this is your, no, no, no, no, no.
Keep your shirt on.
We'll talk about, there are some mature topics.
There are some things like that.
This is, shirts will come off, you know, not on this show.
in the in the game okay um oh man i don't know man i'll do an awful lot for some ratings so
i'm kidding i'm kidding your shirt off is not the answer for that no that's i'll tell you that
much i don't want to tank the podcast um but yeah just there there is some mature subject matter
we have to cover some of that as we talk about the game we will get into spoilers is what ace is saying
so if you want to experience the game without any spoilers we will tell you when that is in
will warn you.
Which is six,
it's like six, seven hours.
You know, it's not a crazy time investment to do that.
So we definitely recommend like...
Play through it and come back.
Play through it and come back and listen to the episode and hear what we have to say about it.
We'll still be here.
I promise you will still be here.
Yep.
But since there is not much of the gameplay element,
let's talk about it a little bit.
The gameplay element is Robert at his desk dispatching these villains
turned heroes into the field.
You can team them up for different synergies.
You have these different stat lines that you need to line up in order to, you know, tackle
certain crimes or certain problems efficiently.
What did you guys think of that gameplay element?
Was it necessary?
I mean, it worked.
I'll be honest, it's like, I could tell that they went, we need to make this a video game
if we're going to market this as a video game.
And so we have to throw something in there.
It's very simple.
Like, I'll be honest.
Like, you know, it's like, hey, the game tells you, you need to rescue this person quickly
and be prepared to fend off some enemies.
And you go, okay, well, quickly means I have to have a hero with mobility.
And the fact that there's going to be a fight means they have to have combat skills.
And certain heroes are good at certain things.
Some of them are very smart and they're very charismatic, but they're terrible in a fight.
Other ones are great in a fight, but they're super slow.
and they're dumb as bricks, you know, or something like that.
And so you have this cast of heroes that all have different skills that pertain to different
things, you know, like I said, you know, mobility, I think there's there's combat, there's
vigor, which is how tough they are, there's mobility, there's charisma, and there's brains.
There's your, there's your categories.
As you send them out and they succeed or fail in missions, they can get experience when they
level up, you can assign them a point.
so even though somebody might start off being a very fast and weak hero if you wanted to you could craft them into a very fast great at combat hero so that part is kind of neat to go okay well what do i think this needs but then that's really it dude that's really the extent it's very simple all rngy after that the only other like strategy element at all in my opinion was you can send sometimes you can send more than one hero to
your chances of like success if you do that you might be light on heroes like as more dispatch
things come open your heroes need to go out they need to do their mission then they need to come
home and rest and if everybody's out or resting and you don't have somebody to send you might
fail that call kind of thing so you miss the call that's yeah you miss the call you miss the chance
that's it that's all the gameplay it it does affect the story though how well you do with the calls
I did find that out, so that was interesting.
See,
and you did a lot of flavor text, too,
and a lot of, like, personality from these characters
that you're sitting out of these.
That's what I was going to say, too,
is, like, even though this wasn't really a lot of kind of traditional gameplay,
I did feel utilizing that and playing that aspect of it
did give you more of an insight into the characters
and did help you understand who they are.
And it built a connection with them.
My thing that I did, which I thought was cool, is like, uh, water boy, we all know, you know, how he was.
I put every single point into charisma. I'm like, this is going to be the most correct.
The most. You made him charismatic? Oh, he's the most charismatic mofo ever. I put every single point of his and I sent him on every mission I could just to get his level up. I'm like, oh, he's going to, I'm going to train this boy up. So yeah, there's, um, there's, there's, there's just, it's, it's, it's, it's cool to see, like, there's not.
a whole lot with the gameplay, but it does help you feel more with the characters as you send
them out. You get those little lines of dialogue and what they say and how they synergize and
what characters work better with each other. And it just creates a little more kind of immersion
into that world you're trying to, you know, watch, if you will. Yeah, I agree. All right. We're
going to get to the, you know, meat and potatoes of this whole game here right after this word from our
sponsor. Ford was built on the belief that the world doesn't get to decide what you're
capable of. You do. So ask yourself, can you or can't you? Can you load up a Ford F-150 and build

All right, we are back. This is your last chance. Spoilers incoming. Spoiler warning. It is
It is time to talk about the narrative of dispatch, which we kind of, I gave you this setup.
You're a character who is basically Iron Man, you've lost your suit, you've been hired on at this dispatch agency to take control what is called the Phoenix program, which takes super villains and is working on converting them into superheroes, but they still have the attitude of super villains, quite frankly.
You get your own office with a long-time friend named Chase.
Oh, Chase is awesome, dude.
One of my favorite characters in this game, like, genuinely.
And your dog beef, which is just the roundest dog I've ever seen in my life.
Starting off, I want to know, did you guys fist bump Royd in the urinal?
Oh, of course.
Yeah, I'm not leaving him a boy hanging.
You can't leave him hanging.
Can't leave him hanging, for sure.
So this, it's just to clarify to people, because this is the other gameplay element to this is a lot of times as a scene is playing out or characters are interacting with you, the game will throw up like two to three choices, right?
This guy that works there comes up. He's talking to you in the bathroom. Most guys do not interact when they're standing at your holes. This is kind of an unspoken rule. And he comes up to you. And he's chatting away. And he introduces himself and he goes to give you a fist bump. And then the game.
game says what do you do like ignore them fist bump it or don't right you know and so this is the
other aspect of this game is you have to make these choices kind of on the fly and the game will
react to whatever choice you make so this is where you get a little bit of the variety in the
response i will say you can kind of tell that the response is immediate and then it goes back to the
what the predetermined conversation and like kind of you know rest of this uh
skit or line or interaction is going to be, but those choices that you make and seeing that
kind of immediate how they play out is the other gameplay element to this game.
It's nice to see you have some kind of impact on this world because for a while, you're just
sitting there, you're watching a really good TV show, and then you get to throw your own two
cents in what you want to say, how you want this scene to go. And the first two episodes, it's very
minimal. There's not a ton you can change or manipulate. Moving on,
though from those first two episodes
things get very intense very
quickly yeah
like we haven't gone over the Z team members
which are these villains you control
but you get an option to cut one of them
very early on you get to you know
just take one out of your team completely you have
to cut one of them yeah you have to cut
one of them who did you cut
oh I cut
coop yeah I cut what
I cut coop too cook she's an
evil assassin she doesn't belong on the team
Ryan yeah she's super sweet
and has a bunch of combat abilities.
Yeah, I already had a bad guy.
Back guy was the only brains of the whole operation.
No,
you got a weird back guy in a suit.
He's just like walking around with a bat face.
Who was your intellect guy?
Yeah, who was you guys?
I actually used Prism.
I know, I used Prism and I just worked her intellect up.
Oh, okay.
She was at like a seven or an eight.
Like I had her intellect way up.
Yeah, Prism is another one of the Z team members.
You've got Flombe, which is hot-headed guys.
who fought Mecca Man in the past
lost a couple fingers there
and sings probably one of the funniest songs
at the end of the episode
you've got Golem which is just a big mass of clay
who doesn't have a ton of personality starting off
but he really grows on you as a character too
honestly
which I want to say speaking of that real quick to
Batman animated series
that's like a total
rip-off. That's, Gallum is a total
rip-off. Of Clayface?
100%. Just a little bit. It's just like
the exact same. They're just like, let's put some metal here
and then it's good to go. But yeah, that's all. It immediately
gave me those vibes and then the character looked just like him and he's
just a big kind of burly duff. So I was like,
oh, yeah, it's the same thing. But anyway, sorry, continue.
Yeah, but then you have Coop and Sonar. Coop is a
assassin who has all these knives and stuff. Sonar is a
batman literally like his body is half bat half man he transforms into a beast and stuff
then who's yeah we have punch out which is the small strong man who likes to punch people in
the crotch yep that is his signature move we have malevola which is the you know demon carlack
from balder skate three basically carlac from balder skate carlac yeah this game borrows from some popular
characters and finally we have who is clearly set up
as the canon main love interest for Robert in Visigal.
Yep.
Vizzi.
Yeah, Vizzi.
Oh, Vizzi.
She is by far the hardest to work with, the hardest to get to do what she wants.
She ain't the hardest in some other ways.
By episode four, if you're not looking at her.
But I am.
But I am.
Hey!
Oh, man.
the game does kind of give you false information almost that you could pick between vizzi and the blonde blazer which i know is something that you want to talk about josh yeah okay i said in the very beginning because the game like like this the storytelling in this game is incredible
look i said from i think it was episode one i said if if blonde blazer is not like like one of the main characters that you can choose i'm going to rate this game poorly
you know and then and then you just get stuck with Invisigal and I'm like bro that's like I'm not into
the angsty you know what I mean like this is not a thing man but you don't get a choice the game
just says nope this is your this is your interest and you got to go with it and so unfortunately
when we get to the rating point I'm going to have to give this game a bad rating so I don't know
if that's fair visigal is pretty pretty good option it's funny to me because I knew like knowing
Josh, like, because of me, I'm like, oh, yeah, I'm vis-a-old, like, I can fix her. I can fix her.
Dude, yeah, I know, I can make her all right. Yeah, like, I'm going to, I'm going to get everything
together and she'll be good to go. And Josh is like, yeah, that one's crazy. I'm going to go
with this one. Yeah, I don't want to deal with crazy, man. I don't, I don't need the fixer thing,
man. But so she's, she's just going to betray you anyway. Then you got trust issues the whole
you know you don't have trust issues with is blonde blazer she's she's totally trustworthy man
she's not gonna stab you in the back until she's not blonde anymore yeah until she's not
the blonde blazer anymore yeah then what are you gonna do yeah i like just mandi it's fine you know
fair enough fair enough me too me too and after you've cut coop and sonar they give you
the option to add two other we'll just call them d class heroes
to your team of misfits?
How dare you? Phenoma man is not a D-class.
Phenomomoman is terrible.
Why, hold on.
Okay, so after you cut, then who did you add?
I added Waterboy.
Me too.
You went with the scrawny janitor that's the most awkward person in the world?
I, I jacked up his,
versus the guy that is basically depressed Superman.
His intellect and his charisma.
Waterboy was like the sickest hero.
I went Waterboy dead.
I'm going, Waterboy.
I know cold-hearted, man.
Nobody wants a depressed, like, superhero, dude.
Like, oh, my girlfriend beat me.
Depressed Superman is not who my team needed.
Yeah.
That team was miserable enough already.
You can't throw depressed Superman in there as well.
Everything just goes real bad.
But, man, Phenomen had probably one of the funniest lines in this entire game for me near the end.
When you do get to add him to your team if you pick Waterboy.
Robert approaches him about the 12-month melon subscription.
Oh, yeah, that's right, yeah.
He's like, didn't we talk about the melons?
He's like, I cannot stop them.
11 months remain.
Yeah.
He just signed up for just an annual edible
edible arrangements membership.
I saved a percentage.
Yeah.
But, you know, through the game,
you have your trials and tribulations with the Z team,
and you get to do probably my favorite part of the entire game,
which is the bar scene.
Oh, man.
What a cool time where you can see Robert bonding with the Z team really starting to, you know, get a grasp in their world and be someone they actually look up to and care about.
And you can choose to reveal your identity to them as either you stay Robert or you're Mechaman.
Were you guys Mechaman or were you Robert to them?
I revealed my true identity.
It was a moment of trust, man.
It's a moment of trust.
It was a moment of trust.
Yeah.
Even though Flombe then tries to kill you.
Flambay was not happy about it.
He was not happy because you took his fingers.
He did.
And his pride.
He was not a fan of that.
From that, you get to this house party where they all try to go to Robert's house
and make him feel welcome and help him find the piece of his suit where he had exploded
and that's the only thing he needs to get it to work again.
And it goes real bad because Chase gets too drunk and says some nasty things to Invisigal.
Feelings were hurt.
some truce were probably said but that uh i will tell you the song that plays in that house
party scene is in my playlist because i've listened to it so many times dude and this is what i
well i'll say it again but i one of the things i don't think people understand is how good
the presentation of this game is dude like this is i if i went to the movies to watch this i would
have left going oh my gosh that's one of the best movies i've seen in a long time if this was
a Netflix show where you know it's like hey you know I want you get to watch one episode a week this
is the this is the thing we're at work everybody would be talking about hey everyone would you
watch this week's episode did you watch this like the the music the voice acting the animation
are second to none if you want to be wowed at what people can craft you know what I mean
like this game is the game that you need to play to go my goodness I had my socks blown off I can't
believe how like just flawless the presentation of this game is in every way with the exception
of gameplay. And again, you know what you're getting yourself into. Don't go into this expecting
gameplay. But if you are okay, oh my goodness, dude, it's phenomenal. It is. It's, it's, it's
phenomenon. Phenomenomenomenomen. It's just, it's one of those where every, every kind
of section and part, you're just like, you're blown away. You're,
like oh wow like they cover in that apartment scene they cover so much and they just display it
so well that it's it's it's it's something i've never really seen before it is next level
it is it is done uh to the end degree like you said if if you were to go see this as a movie
you would you know come and just praise it from the rooftops so they they uh as a whole for
what they created with this it's it's so freaking good dude that that little
bit of interactivity where you pick a choice or you're doing the dispatching you know gameplay
part that little bit is what makes this like oddly enough it's such a minor thing but you feel
invested in these characters you feel invested in the choices you feel invested in the outcome of
the story or the outcome of those choices at the end of every chapter the game does this really
cool thing where it goes back through the choices you made and says hey yeah see
60% of players made the same choice or 20% of people made this choice with you.
And it kind of summarizes your, like, choices and thinking compared to everybody else that's
played the game at that point.
And I thought that was a really, really neat way to do, like, to show.
I'll be honest, I don't know that your choices, like, actually matter in the grand scale of
the game.
I think the story is going to play out mostly the same no matter what.
And you're kind of aware of that early on.
but it doesn't matter because the game's kind of going
with your individual choices and kind of
how you stacked up against everybody else
that played the game and that
to me was a really good way of saying
look, we can't
program 8 million different
permutations of outcomes for this game
so we're still going to make it to where you
care about your choices without
needing to go like that in depth with
the story too. It's like there was like
each section had like a pocket of
choice and then they all led back
to the kind of the same mainline story.
but you had that pocket to kind of of wiggle room that that like you said made you feel invested you were you were part of this and you felt like you were on your own path and and then at the end you're like oh some other people chose the same as me you know so that was a cool cool kind of way they did it yeah yeah and the house party is the last like happy moment in this game i would say before things go really downhill well yeah most of it because you find out where this astral pulse
The thing that Pauzer suit is, everyone's fighting over whether they're going to go get it now or wait and get a team together.
Vizzi goes and gets it on her own, of course, gets in trouble, and encounters the main bad guy, Shroud, who subsequently killed Mechaman's father.
So that was cool.
And then from there, it just all goes downhill where Chase runs in to save Vizzi.
He gets hurt.
Everyone's blaming Vizzi.
Everything is against her.
You could choose to stand up for her.
You could turn on her and kick her out.
and it's just an amazing story
the game really makes you make those tough decisions though
and that's again it's kind of like when we talked about
the moment of trust where we revealed that we were mecha man
like you can not reveal that you know and I'm sure that again
the story will play out the way it's going to play out regardless
but there are times where
you like it does say like are you going to
are you going to stay loyal to this character that it
you know in all appearances look like they've stabbed you in the back
multiple times right are you going to I can say
her.
No, I can save her.
Right?
Where it's like at what, I mean, there's one point where I go like, I keep siding with her,
but am I an idiot?
Like, am I just really dumb?
Yeah.
Am I just that reminded?
Yeah.
And so I really does make you care and it does make you struggle with some of the decisions that
you make in the game as far as like, I always responded how I would in real life where
I'm like, I think this person's good.
I'm going to put my trust in them.
And I sure hope it doesn't come back to bite me.
and those are the kind of decisions
that the game puts in front of you
and says here you got to choose
how you're going to respond to this.
Yeah, and we can't get into full details
for the end, but your choices in the end
will decide if Vizzi will stay a villain
or she will turn a new leaf as a hero
and it'll affect the ending of the game
and that's the biggest choice of all, I would say.
Yeah, I saw the choice Ryan made.
Ryan's villain's villain through and through.
I don't know what you did, Ryan, but
I don't know what you did, Ryan.
Apparently, you can't fix her, Ryan, because you didn't fix her.
She stayed a villain with you, man.
I know, yeah, she was, she slapsed, and I was like, no, come on.
But, yeah, dispatch is a standout game, a game, quote, unquote.
It has fantastic animation, fantastic character writing, fantastic voice acting.
Does it deserve a game of the year nomination?
I, this one's tough, dude, because it is.
stellar in every aspect like legitimately like we've played some of these story based games the quarry
famously i did not like i thought the quarry sucked firewatch is one that i absolutely loved
you know again minimal gameplay elements dispatch to me is weird because i feel like this this is like
90% tv show 10% video game whereas most of these games try to be like 70 30 kind of thing but yeah i mean it
deserves something because it is unlike anything else out there again this is the the most
premium presentation of this type of game that i think people have ever seen and it begs to
be like experienced you know like honestly it begs to be experienced by people this is me at
least telling you you should experience this game know what you are getting into enjoy the
ride because this it like i said if this was a netflix show let's go like
K-pop Demon Hunters, right?
Came out on Netflix and the world lost its mind.
If dispatch was out on Netflix, the world would be losing its mind.
Like, honestly, it's that good.
Why are you stealing my takes, bro?
I'm just saying.
Like, literally exactly what I was going to say.
I'm not even kidding.
Yeah.
It's almost like we've been doing this together for a while.
I know, right?
No, that's what I thought of.
Like, if they were a way to, like, because the gameplay element of it,
there's really not that much of it.
They could animate that to where he's still,
Robert's still there, you know, sending all the
dispatches out and doing the stuff and just animate it that quickly.
But if they made this an 8 part, 10-part series on Netflix, it would be top 10 for the next
month.
Absolutely.
It is so good.
It is an amazing story.
It is told beautifully.
Like we said, the voice acting is done magnificently.
Like everything about it is to the nth degree.
It is pristine.
It is done with professionalism.
It is all nothing but quality.
considering it as a game to me i have a little bit of trouble with that um i i would have liked more
if it's going to be a game and if i'm going to make choices they have maybe a little more impact
really genuine like story changing impact i i understand obviously that makes a big difference in
like how they program the game and how much more they have to do but if you're going to call it a game
you know do the extra bit but overall to me this thing was was developed so well it i never ran into an
issue it was funny it made me laugh it made me cry it made me me giggle like every part of it
was amazing and i absolutely it's a must play for for anybody anybody of of age at least yeah
yeah anybody of age it was it was top top top all time for me well you heard it here first
folks so we're going to close it out real quick guys give me your rating just real fast what is
your rating i'm a nine five dude what'd you say i'd agree
I'm going 9-5
Dang it
I stole your K-pop

So we're all thinking
9-5 was just like
I mean honestly
Yeah 9-5
I could nitpick some things
I this is a must
It's a must experience man
Like honestly
It's so good
It really
It's a must experience for sure
Just just sit down
Treat it like you're gonna watch
Eight episodes
They're about 40 minutes of pop
Like honestly
To get through one
Just if you understand
What you are getting into
You will not leave
disappointed in this one and it is a masterclass in in what the something like this should be so
I'm going to go nine five I played seven I played seven straight dude yeah I could all I only didn't
do the last one because it was 1230 in it does start to really draw you in I was falling asleep I was
like oh my wife kept saying are you going to play like arc raiders with your friends and I'm like no
I'm playing this game for the podcast you know like this game and I just one more episode it's like
binging one more one more episode yeah well it's perfect for me I think nine
five is perfect. And I want to say
this game is only $30.
Worth every penny.
$30.
Worth every penny.
You would spend $20 to go see a two-hour movie.
You're going to spend $30 to get a six-hour movie.
Like the best show you've seen.
Yeah.
Yeah, absolutely.
