Hello, fellow gamers, and welcome to the VideoGamers podcast.
February is here, and it brings a slew of game releases you definitely want to know about.
From huge indie titles like Mugenics to beloved series like Yakuza and Nio releasing sequels,
February is looking like the first stacked month of many more to come this year.
Before we get to all the hot releases you need to know about, some introductions are in order.
I am your host Josh and joining me, there's a lot of turn-based games coming out.
Will he bear down and suffer for the sake of the show?
or will he be a whiny little baby?
It's Ryan.
Wham?
I knew it.
I knew the answer to that one.
I just wanted to see if you would admit.
Oh, I'll admit it.
I ain't playing none of that.
And joining us, it's a good month for Indies this month, but I can't help but think.
He's got his eye on a AAA darling.
It's a.
It is the rare occasion where I'm way more excited for a AAA release than any indie games.
Bro, you're so mainstream.
You're so mainstream, bro.
Look at all this truth telling coming out, guys.
I feel like we're just getting things off our chest, you know?
Like, Ace admits that he's looking for to a AAA game.
Ryan admits he's got bad game pace.
This is great, guys.
This is great.
Welcome to the Honest Hour with VGP.
Oh, man.
Guys, what a month.
And listen, I'm going to preface this by saying this month is stacked,
but it ain't nearly as stacked as March.
March is insane.
Oh, my goodness.
That's going to be fun,
we got to save that for the March.
Yeah.
We got to save that for, but yeah, but just listen,
we got two months of prime gaming coming up, everybody.
And there's enough games coming out this month that this is going to be the whole episode.
Like, we just went, man, there's a lot to talk about.
there are some games that I am super excited to talk about
you know capped by we'll just go ahead and mention it now we'll talk about it later
but capped by Resident Evil Requiem coming out that is the AAA title
that Ace is so excited for bring me back to Leon Kennedy
yeah he's so dreamy dude it's so weird like I like
I like the Resident Evil series but I don't know all the characters and stuff in it
Like, I know who Leon is.
Yeah.
You know, like, I know who Ada Wong is and, like, some of this stuff, but it's like...
Jill Valentine.
But I couldn't tell you who was in which one and, and what their background is and all that stuff.
Like, maybe I'm just not, like, a huge fan of the series.
I like Resident Evil, but maybe I just not, like a huge fan.
I don't know.
Ah, I see.
You're a fake fan.
You think you like...
Maybe.
You like New Jin Resident Evil.
What are you trying about?
We were playing Resident Evil when you were in diapers, buddy.
That's fair.
I played the...
Yeah, we played the original.
Oh, yeah, but what do you remember more?
Do you remember Leon Kennedy or Ethan Winners?
I don't know who Ethan Winner does is.
Yeah, but Ethan was the guy in, uh, in Village, right?
No.
Yeah, he was the guy in, seven and Village.
Oh, so, okay, seven in Village.
But that's my point.
I can't tell you who's in which one, man.
Four, yeah.
Yeah, okay, yeah, and four.
Yeah, that's the Resident Evil Four.
He was also two.
He started in Resident Evil II.
Ah, okay.
But he was...
I just remember my mom wouldn't,
let me play it. So I'd play it at a friend's house and I'd be so scared that like she was going to
find out somehow. But I was like, this game's pretty sweet and scary. I'm used to playing Sonic.
That's fair. That's a big jump from Sonic to Resident Evil. That's fair. That is fair. So,
all right, guys, we got a big old list of games to talk about. So let's dive in here. And, you know,
I put these in order of release date. And I looked up which systems they're releasing on.
we're, you know, going that extra mile for all y'all out there, man.
Just a little bit behind me when I did that.
Yeah, exactly.
Yeah.
Now, now let's see if Ryan remembers to list them all in the episode description for people, too.
You get what you get.
You get what you get, people.
That's what you get.
I love that we know ourselves so well at this point.
It's like, yeah.
People like, hey, can you guys put the name of the games in like the description?
Because I forget everything you talk about.
Well, we kind of talked about that.
Yeah, sure.
And then Ryan's like, oh, yeah.
That's right.
That's right.
That was my job.
It's just more reason to come join our Discord server, everybody.
We are active on there every single day.
We are interacting with the community.
There's almost 1,300 gamers there.
If you want to know what's that game you guys were talking about,
just come ask us directly at that point.
Or you control Ryan and be like, Ryan, stop forgetting to put these in the game,
the episode descriptions.
And then Ryan will, he'll respond.
I will.
And he'll tell you like...
I give you the one for what? What?
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right, guys, starting off early, you know, let me do this.
Let me say this too, because there are video game fans of all kinds out there.
And there are games that are releasing in February that we're not going to talk about.
You know, there are some games that it's like you may be a mega fan of.
And if you are, you know it's coming.
But there's just some games that are a little bit too obscure or not up our alley that it's like,
we're just not going to mention those.
So I'm sorry if we forget to talk about a game.
Like I know there's a new,
I think there's a new Dragon Quest game.
I think there's something called like Grazbleu or,
I don't know.
I don't know that.
We're getting new with those.
Nice.
Yeah.
So there are some games that we're not going to mention.
If you love that game,
you know it's coming out.
But we're trying to put the games out there that we think people would enjoy that
they probably forgot about or just need to know about as well.
So,
all right let's start off February 5th releasing an early access guys and I'll be honest I don't remember this game but it is a game called menace
did we ever talk about menace no I think I would remember watching a trailer that looked this amazing and cinematic and then looking at the screenshots be like ah mobile game
are you looking at the right game ace because this is like an ex comish type clone yeah it looks like that's what I'm seeing here it's a
It's a CRP
Turn-Based strategy game?
It's more akin to X-com.
So yes and no.
A little bit of a mix of both.
We have a disagreement.
Yeah.
I'll be honest.
I'll be honest.
I don't think we've ever talked about this game.
It is very,
it is very much borrowing from the X-Com DNA
with this turn-based tactics and combat and stuff like that.
What's really interesting to me is there is this kind of military kind of theme.
or flare to it,
where you can put your squad together
and then you can upgrade their guns
and the squad size and things like that.
But then it goes into space for a little while.
Like you've got frigates and the space stuff going on.
And I will say,
I think the game looks impressive.
I love turn-based combat,
but I hate X-Com.
So if anybody can figure out why that is,
like let me know.
But Menace is releasing February 5th
into early access.
It's PC-only.
The reason we know about this is because this game has like 58,000 wish lists on it already.
So there's something there that people know that we apparently didn't.
So we added it to the list because they don't want to see like idiots.
Or people are like, how come you couldn't?
Menace is like the highest rated wishlisted game for the first week of February.
That's like, oh, okay.
All I know is on the, on the, uh, similar to games you've played, it says Dragon Age Valeguard.
And I'm like, oh, oh, no.
No, no, never.
Tell me that.
In fact, if you're the developer of menace,
you might want to have that fixed on Steam.
Reach out to Steam and like tell them.
Yeah, you just reach out to Gabe and be like, Gabe,
why you do me like that?
We don't want. We don't want this.
Why do me like that and say this is like Vailgo?
Slander.
All right.
Well, this next one I know is going to be exciting for people,
and that is NIO3, releasing February 6 on PC and PS5.
You guys ever played the NIO games?
I haven't, but I've heard fantastic things.
Like these are incredible soulslikes apparently.
Is it Nio or Neo?
It's Neo.
It's Neo 3.
I just let him have it.
Oh,
what I do.
What guys?
Two in a row.
Speech impediment.
I don't remember what the other one was.
You know I have a speech impediment.
Okay.
Like I said, apparently I said do sex and then everybody's like, it's deus X.
And then I was like, okay.
Okay.
And then look, it's N-I-O-H.
N-O.
N-O.
I'm American.
All right.
Yeah, but the game's not.
Oh, you got to bring logic into this ace.
The game is Japanese.
What are you doing bringing logic and reason into this thing?
What are you talking about?
Sorry, Josh.
I didn't mean to call you.
I was checking because I didn't want to say it wrong is why I was asking.
Well, you know, I don't mind being an idiot.
So that's why people listen.
They're like, these guys are so dumb.
Let me, let me see what they're going to be stupid about this episode.
So Neo, that Neo is the guys from the Matrix.
That doesn't make any sense.
You can't call this Neo.
There's only one. He's the one. Yeah, exactly, Ryan. He's the one. Exactly. I'm with you,
bro. I'm with you. Uh, so Nile 3 releases February 6th. I don't care. Yeah. All right. It's you two against
the Japanese people. I did play Neo one and two. I played the first two. I didn't be either one of them.
They're kind of that they're that Sekaro, dark solsy-ish kind of, they're good. They're very good,
enjoyable games. You kind of have to be in the mood for that. People that love the Neo series will
probably be absolutely just amped for Neo3 coming out. You get to play as a ninja or a samurai.
It's got a bunch of cool stuff going on with it. I'll say this. This is a game that I know
would be great that I'll never play. It looks incredible. It looks absolutely stunning. Like all the
graphics, the visuals, the bosses, it looks like a fantastic game that I will not have time
to play. Yeah, that's that's the case for me as well. So all right, guys, this one, I almost missed this
one. Thankfully, I did a little bit of a deeper dive on games releasing. PubG blind spot
releasing into early access February 5th on PC only. This game looks like it could be really good.
One would say you hit a bit of a blind spot for you. Blind spot? I saw you grinning and I was like,
what is he cooking up in his head? And I'll be honest, I really was hoping for more, dude.
Come on. You had something like really good to say. Where else was I going to go with it?
the name of the gate.
Come on, man.
Do better.
Do better than you can comment.
Yeah, I want you, I want you to sit there and think about what you've done.
Oh, right.
I'm going time out.
All right.
So,
PubG Blind Spot is basically Rainbow Sixth Siege from a top-down,
isometric view.
Yep.
Everything I've seen about this looks really good to me.
It looks like it'll be sweaty,
but that different perspective in this type of gameplay could wind up working out.
really well. I am very curious about this one. I mean,
PubG broke the world, dude. Does it still hold the title for most concurrent
players ever? I think it might. If not, it's way, way up there,
dude. Way, way up there. PubG broke the world. Here you go. The official
PubG blind spot. Early access. Yeah, this is one I will absolutely
be looking into because I think this could wind up being really, really good for people.
I think. But probably not as good as
this next game because this
next game
this might be one of
my more anticipated games for February
guys and I don't know why
but I don't know why because
there is I will say
there's probably a 70% chance that I wind
up not liking this game but if I
do that 30% hits I think I'm
really going to like it and that
is Mugenics.
I'm excited Mugetics from the creator
of Binding of Isaac
he's been working on this game I saw he's
working on this game for like 12 years.
It went through some development issues.
Apparently there's a rights issue with like a publisher or something.
He got it back.
He's been spending just the last years and years and years working on this.
I've actually been following some of his like live streams where he talks about the game
and the different stuff you can do in this.
This game goes way deeper than I think people are thinking it will with the combinations
of like cats and combat and turn-based tactics and the different abilities.
There's over like a thousand abilities that you're.
cats can get in this game.
Dang.
I will say this.
There's going to be a bunch of cats humping.
So if that's a thing that you're not cool with, then you might want to stay away from
eugenics, but this is how they're, this is how you develop new skills and new cats and
stuff like that.
But yeah, I am, I am really, really excited for megenics to get my hands on that.
I mean, I'm super pumped for this.
A turn-based, rogue like with this art style and this ridiculous concept.
as well as coming from the Isaac dev,
I already know it's going to have so much detail
and so much to do
because that man has puts his heart and soul
to every game he makes.
I swear.
He does.
You can tell that just from watching him
explain the game in the live streams that he's done.
Ryan, here's the kicker because we really need
to cover meugenics for the show
because this is one of the biggest indie releases this month.
How are you going to handle that?
Well, I don't know.
Two things Ryan hates.
You hate cats.
You hate cats.
Hold on.
I would not say that I hate cats.
I am indifferent.
You dislike cats a lot.
I am indifferent with cats.
I think it's more cat people that that like think cats are the most amazing things in the world are what I have.
I'm a cat person.
Yeah.
I'm a cat person.
That's.
I love cats.
I love my cat too.
What are you trying to say?
That's fine.
What are you trying to say, Ryan?
Yeah.
Yeah, cat people are weird.
There's a reason they say the crazy cat lady.
because nobody gets like 40 dogs.
There's people that get 40 cats.
Like cat people are weird.
And that's fine.
If you want to be a cat person, that's fine.
I am actually, believe it or not, I'm excited about this one.
This, yeah, I am.
Dude, this is new, like, seriously?
No, I am.
I am really.
It looks so over the top, crazy and goofy.
And like, it looks like it's my kind of lane of humor.
And so I love this.
It looks like almost like an old,
adult swim like comedy central
not a cartoon network like old adult swim style
like game and and so uh i i am excited for this one this this thing is uh
i hope it's going to be pretty cool it looks cool i think it will i think it will be too
and y'all heard it here first ryan it's not that he's he's not here for the turn base combat
he's here for the cat i'm here for the battles maybe let's see them
Let's see them fur balls
Oh man
Mugenics is releasing only on PC at this time
I'm sure it'll come to consoles later
But he's just doing the PC release on this one
Also Josh real quick before you move on
I just want to say uh
For earlier the most concurrent players of all time
Roblox
Oh
47 million
I mean Roblox is more like a platform
than a game though
So it's like
I get it.
That's a whole lot of predators.
I know, right?
Yeah.
Hey, there's predators on this game.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
Well, here's, guys, here's one that I, again, didn't show up.
I mean, this is why, you know, hopefully people tune into this podcast instead of just going to some of the gaming websites because there wasn't a gaming website that was popular that listed this one.
And that is Chrysall Theater of Idols that we talked about on the indie episode that releases February 10th.
it is releasing for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Sorry, Switch People.
I just watched a new trailer for this one that came out like a couple weeks ago.
Guys, this game looks super good.
This is going to be awesome.
I played the demo for this.
I had such a good time with it.
Oh, you got the demo?
Yeah, I played the demo for this before I did the indie episode.
It was a little jane.
Is it a shooter ace?
What kind of game is this?
This is a first person survival horror game where you.
Survival horror?
Yes.
Okay, because they showcase a, they showcase a,
a lot of guns.
It's like, but then they don't use their guns a lot?
Like you have guns in Resident Evil, but you're still solving puzzles and being hunted
the entire time.
Oh, see, that makes me even more interested, honestly, because I was like, if this is
kind of like more of a shooter, then I don't know because it seemed like really slow
pace.
But I'll be honest, every trailer I've seen for this really gets me excited.
I think this game presents really well.
I think that they're onto something with this.
Do not sleep on Chrysall Theater of Idols because this game looks legit.
Demo still on Steam, by the way.
It looks creepy, which is very important for a survival horror game.
Like the creepy factor is there.
This kind of, you have to fuel your guns with your own blood.
That's my favorite part.
It's so cool.
You use your life bar to fill your guns sometimes.
It's so cool.
That's a good risk reward type.
Yeah, good risk reward.
Yeah.
I like that.
I need to kill this thing, but I have to hurt myself to do it.
I also love, dude, I just love, and I know we talked about this really
recently and this will be quick. I just,
I love, um,
indie games like their ability now to make like,
good looking games like,
good looking games. And I'm not like no shade at all these
games and stuff, but it's like the ability to leak at least
present something that's, that's palatable like visually.
Um, it helps so much because there,
there are so many games that are, that are a really good idea,
a real good thought process. They, they could play well.
They just look like garbage.
And so the ability for them to easily make these games look great, I'm just so happy for it's,
we're in a, we're in another golden era, I think, of gaming because it's just, there's so many,
so many developers and so many people that can make these things and, and so many ideas out there.
I love it.
Yeah.
And clearly the publisher has some hope for this game because the publisher's freaking Blumhouse.
So.
Yes.
Yeah.
There is absolutely hope for this.
So don't sleep on this one either, guys.
It comes out early.
It kind of sucks that it releases the same day as Mugenics,
because these are two very different games for people.
I know.
I mean, for me, I'm going Mugenics,
but I'm going to keep Chrysall on my wish list and make sure that I come back to that at some point.
So, all right, moving on, reluded, guys.
We covered this one as well.
This is that kind of heist game where you kind of draft your team of people.
You're trying to steal like African artifacts.
and then you have to make your getaway.
And it's like a parkour speed-based thing.
This looks really neat.
I'll never play it.
I hope it does really well.
But this is one where it's like,
I just don't know that I'll ever actually get around to it.
Yeah, it still looks really good.
I'm still glad we talked about it on the indie episode.
It's just like with all these other banger releases,
it's hard to say like, I'm going to have time for this.
Yeah, yep.
Looks great, though.
All right.
One more and then we'll take a break real quick.
Romeo is a dead man.
This game looks weird.
We've covered this one before.
This is a hack and slash game.
Would you say it's like a Devil May Cry-ish?
It's a hack and slash devil may cry,
Lollipop chainsaw-ish.
Yeah.
Apparently this developer is known for making
really weird over the top.
There's a lot of comic book,
visual novel references and parts in this game.
But ultimately, this is going to be a hack-and-slash game.
It looks really good, honestly.
Like, I think it looks entertaining and fun.
Another one that I'll never actually wind up
kicking up, but I could see people being excited for this one.
That comes out February 11th on PC, PS5, and Xbox.
It reminds me a chainsaw, man.
Well, in addition to what I said about how easy it is for people to make games look good,
that doesn't mean everyone's going to be good.
So just remember that.
Just because the game looks good.
It may not be the best game.
But, uh, but,
I feel like this would be.
No, this looks fine.
This looks great.
I feel like it would be fun.
Yeah.
You said it looks fine and great.
Fine and great are two different words, dude.
No, I said fun.
No, A said fine.
It does look fun.
A said fine and great within three seconds of each other.
This is from the devs who made no more heroes.
Those are two totally different words.
A game, if a game is fine.
Oh, wait, now we've got fantastic thrown in the mix.
He's getting better.
Great, fine, fantastic.
What do we got going on?
We got to go to ad break until A says this game's like a old time.
Hold on.
You know, all right, look, we got to take a break and then we're going to come back and talk about a cozy game that people are probably going to like and then a game where you just murder each other.
Oh.
We'll be back after this break.
Who doesn't love cozy games, guys?
Two or the three people in this room.
Yeah, me.
Me and Ryan.
Me and Ryan don't like cozy games.
Well, there's one coming out called Lost and Found Company.
This is a cozy hidden object game.
Where's Waldo?
That's all I know, people.
Ace, you got anything else on Lost and Found Company for people?
I don't know much more than that.
It's a puzzle-solving, you know, seek and find game, kind of like Where's Waldo?
But for your PC, that's all it really is.
Coming out.
Coming out February 11th.
Coming out, February 11th has a demo if you want to try it out before you buy the full version.
So there's that, but it's a hidden object game.
Did you think of another really bad pun?
because you're giggling to yourself over there.
No.
We're going to carry on.
No.
We're going to carry on.
Ryan's like I can't say what I was thinking.
You're not allowed to say that on this show, Ryan.
Moving on to Killer Inn.
Now this is one that I know that we were all kind of excited for.
This comes out February 12th for PC.
Is this early access?
It is.
It's going to be early access.
It looks pretty fledged out to me.
this is the social deception
What's that?
It's by Squar Enix.
Yeah.
Yeah, you can kind of tell a little bit.
There's a little bit of that square enx vibe to it.
It looks so dang good.
So this is a social deception,
detectivey, figure out who the wolves are.
The wolves are your impostors, I guess,
is what they're calling on.
But there is a lot of combat and gunplay
and like you're actually trying to run around
and loot and find guns and stuff too.
I guess to fight them off
once you know who the bad guys are,
but there are traps, there is deception,
there's clues where it's like you might find a corpse,
but anytime they kill somebody,
they'll leave behind a clue like a shred of blue cloth.
So now you're looking around like,
hey, you're wearing blue.
Are you the murder?
And you're like, no, of course I'm not the murderer.
I'm going to whatever.
Yeah.
I think this game looks like a lot of fun.
Me too.
I could see this one with a group of friends
being an absolute blast.
I hate that it's early access,
but what are you going to do?
I think the clues make this super fun and unique.
Because otherwise it's just among us.
Yeah.
Yeah, the clue thing is cool.
I agree. I think the clues, the gunfighting, there's a lot of gunplay in this too.
This is true.
There's a good big gunplay and just like straight up murder.
Like you see in the trailer, they shoot two girls shoot a guy on the staircase and then
immediately one of them chokes out the other one.
Yeah.
Yeah.
No witnesses.
Got up.
Very, very curious about Killer Inn.
All right.
For our switch to brethren, hey man.
You're getting a good game.
Mario tennis fever.
I love me some Mario tennis, dude.
Wait, you said good game.
Is that the right one?
Wow.
All right.
Well, moving on there.
Mario tennis, huh?
I bought, okay, here's the thing.
The last Mario tennis I bought was not good.
So I'm moving on.
Dude, Mario Golf, Mario tennis.
You know, they make good, they make, is there, Mario Kart?
Is that a sports game?
Oh, man, I don't know.
Is it count?
Racing is a sport.
Yeah.
There was Mario strikers.
That's soccer.
They did Mario Strikers.
That's fair.
We better call it a sport.
How about Nintendo comes up with a new IP instead of releasing the same stuff over and over and over and over again?
Every time they do that, they fail.
Come on now.
Oh, no, they're going to get me.
Sorry, Nintendo people.
You know better.
Yeah.
All right.
This is a series none of us know about.
I know it's an absolutely beloved series.
Yakuza Kawami 3 and the Dark Ties is a plus Dark Ties is the official title.
Comes out February 12th on all platforms.
I've never played any of the Yakuza series.
I know people love them.
I know they're beloved.
I got nothing else for you, people,
other than to remind you that this one comes out this month.
This is persona for adults.
None of us have played Yakuza, have we?
Persona for adults?
Yeah, persona for adults,
where the main character is a full-grown adult.
Yeah.
At least the new games are basically persona for adults,
and that's what people say.
It's like, once you grow out a persona,
you should move on to Yakuza.
Okay.
Well, there you go.
It's similar.
So, there's that.
I want to play it eventually
I'll get to it
When you grow up
When you're gonna play when you grow up ace
I'm still 25 buddy
And did you forget he's
He's baby ace
He's still in persona
He hasn't grown all the way
Is persona time
Still my persona face
Persona era
My persona era
Guys this is how bad press
And in a guy that does very bad things
To people that gets accused of sexual assault
can influence a game because high on life too
still excited which you think people would be more excited about
and you would see more on the internet about because high on life was a very fun
very hilarious game it was a mediocre gameplay but like i still remember playing high on life
and i thought it had a lot of good things going for it high on life two releases february 13th
on all platforms it looks like is an upgrade to high on life in just about every way
I like
I just they're not
showcasing anything on this man
yeah I liked high on life
I didn't go back for the
DLC high on knife
but I am
I didn't either
I am excited for high on life too
I think they've made a lot of improvements
and maybe the gun play
will actually feel really good this time
yeah
it's just it's gonna be a fun game
but you don't go for the good to play
you go for the fun
you go for the fun
you're probably gonna laugh
the goofiness of it
that's I mean he's not involved
with this game so you know
Maybe people get over that.
That's true.
They got, he's out.
Yeah, he's out.
So you don't have to worry about that.
You can support this game and play this game without issue.
Yep.
All right, boys.
Another giant, giant February 13th.
Woo-hoo!
Another giant February 13th.
Re-animal.
Oh, my gosh.
Yes.
They're going to do it, man.
And what's funny is, you can't see Reanimal mention anywhere on the internet without
seeing that the disappointment that Little Nightmares 3 was.
Yikes.
Tarshier Studios are boys.
We interviewed them.
They're going to stick it to the Little Nightmares 3 being junk.
Reanimal looks amazing.
I can't wait to play this.
It is co-op.
It's intended for co-op, I believe.
You can play it solo, but this is going to be a really fun co-op experience.
I am really excited for Reanimal this month.
Absolutely, me too.
I'm, uh, this is, I don't know.
normally play these types of games.
Like, but this one I'm, I'm beyond excited for.
I've been,
I, we've been waiting for this one for quite a while too.
Yeah.
Yeah.
At this point, I'm,
I'm avoiding playing the demo because I just want to jump in blind.
I know, right?
I thought about it, but like, I think about it.
And then I was like, I want it.
I want to experience it though.
Well, I played the demo, which I normally don't do.
And the demo got me even more excited for the full.
All right.
I'll play the demo.
All right.
You and me, Ryan, demo.
It's part.
All right.
Dude,
let's do it.
Like, honestly,
it did its part.
I'll hold you to do that.
We'll do that.
Dude,
after like,
like 20 minutes,
let's go.
Heck yeah.
All right.
The demo is short.
It's like 30,
40 minutes maybe.
You know,
it's not real long,
but it definitely gives you that.
And this is,
I will say this,
this is leaning,
I've mentioned this before,
but for those that don't know,
this is absolutely leaning
into the horror side
and the horror element
a little bit more
than Little Nightmares.
Little Nightmares has
that kind of creepy,
scary visuals and stuff, but reanimal's not going to pull any punches.
So just be aware it is going to be a little bit more on the horror side, which I am
absolutely in support of and here for, because I want to see where this game goes.
Real quick, I don't know that we're recommending it, but Avald is releasing on PlayStation 5 finally.
And that's all we have for that one.
If you want a mediocre but fun RPG with really good graphics, Avald is that.
Normally I wouldn't even mention this game, but T-Falls, we love you, buddy, and we know you're listening, and we would be remiss if we did not mention that Sticks Blades of Greed is releasing February 19th.
I, you know, here's the thing, dude, the Sticks games very well regarded, dude, very well regarded.
I love a little bit of stealth in a game.
I think like Star Wars Outlaws did it right, where it's like, it's some stealth, it's some action, it's some stealth, it's some action.
I do not like 100% pure stealth-based games.
That's what Sticks is.
So unfortunately,
I don't have a lot of interest in this,
but I know that this is a beloved franchise
and Sticks, Blades of Greed,
got a lot of hype behind it.
And that is coming out February 19th
for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox.
I think we all feel the same way about stealth, right?
Where we like some of it, but not all of it?
Unless it's Assassin's Creed, I don't like full stealth.
Like, I love taking out an entire enemy camp
at Assassin's Creed without being.
scene and just full stealth in it, but
I like the option of combat as well.
Exactly. You have the option of just going
in guns blades. Same as Josh, like, when
you played a middle year solid, uh, five.
Like you can go and you can
stealth out of camp or whatever, but
but the ability to still just go and
just murk everybody and shoot them up, you know,
like it's still there. So.
Yeah. If, if I'm going to do
stealth, I want to creep in, get seen
by the first enemy and then go,
well, whoops. And it just started
lighting everybody up. Dame, game,
plan change. Here we go.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Everybody's got a game plan until they get punched in the face.
There you go.
Okay, guys.
And then we're going to end on the big
and Resident Evil Requiem February 27th
for all platforms.
Heck yeah, baby.
Everything I've seen about this game
gives me hope. It is going to be
amazing. We've seen gameplay
from Leon. We've seen gameplay from
Grace. We've seen the
different monsters and the way the zombies
are reactive and they still kind of remember what they were doing when they were alive.
Like you walk into a bathroom, you see a janitor zombie rubbing blood on the mirror trying to clean it.
It looks sick.
Yeah.
I will say this.
I watched like the final preview that they did on this.
I did not realize because I'll be honest, I'm excited for Resident Evil Requiem,
but I haven't been like diving into it a whole lot because I just, I know we're going to play it.
It's one of those things where it's like, I know I'm playing this.
I don't really need to do a ton of research.
on it. I will say, I really like that they have leaned into the two different styles of
Resident Evil. So like when you are Grace, it is the old like creeping around. You're not,
it's not the action based style of Resident Evil like like Resident Evil is. Yeah. So I'd like that
you have that pacing. And then with Leon, it is very much the action shooting, you know,
running around combat style like we would see with Resident Evil 4. And,
And apparently you go back and forth between those.
And a lot of people would say you would think this would be jarring,
but it actually works really well and makes both parts and both characters feel unique in the game,
which I am here for, man.
I love variety in gameplay.
And so you're giving me that in one game with these three new, what do you call them?
Not stalkers.
What do you call the monsters in Resident Evil?
They have different names every time.
So I couldn't tell you.
Well, they're not like juggernauts.
Tyrants?
I can't remember the term.
Because they're using, no, not tyrant either.
Bad guys.
Yeah, the bad guys.
There's a Resident Evil term.
Somebody in the, leave, let me know in the comments.
I'll probably think about it in like five minutes here.
But anyway, yeah, I mean, Resident Evil Requiem looks fantastic.
This is going to be a must-play game.
If you're a fan of the series,
this looks like it's going to have everything you could possibly want
from both styles of games in the series as well.
And again, that is February 27th on all platforms.
You better play it and you better play it quick because March.
About to be crazy.
March is nuts.
Oh, baby.
I, March of 2026 might be up there with like one of the greatest months of video game releases, dude.
Like, like legitimately, and I'm not just throwing that out there for like a cliffhanger or hype or anything like that.
But there are some incredible games releasing in March.
Tune into in a couple of weeks to find out why.
Yeah, well, this is why we do this is we want to remind you guys at the beginning of the month.
Hey, these are the games coming out.
You know, I know because I forgot about a few of these, to be honest with you.
One question before we get out of here.
You have all these games sitting right in front of you.
Which one are you most excited to play?
Resident Evil.
I'm excited for Resident Evil.
I want to play a good Resident Evil for Ace.
That's pretty good answer.
I think that's probably the same for me other than maybe.
high on life too.
That's fair.
Or meugenics.
I am
Mugenics.
I don't know why, guys.
I think the game's going to be great,
but I don't know if it's going to work
for me.
Innovation.
Genics is like, for some reason,
at the top of my list, dude.
So I'm very curious to see
if it satisfies that or if like four hours in,
I'm like,
oh.
Well, okay, at least I got something else coming out real soon.
That's enough for me.
Well, I guess I'm moving over to Creasol Theater of idols.
Yeah, I mean, there you go.
Same release day and everything, right?
So, yeah.
For me, Mugenics, reanimal, and Resonating of a Requiem are the top three.
For sure.
For sure, those are the top three.
I'm also very curious about PubG Blind Spot to check that out, too.
So we'll see if it's free.
All right.
