Hello, fellow gamers, and welcome to the VideoG gamers podcast.
Few things can be more memorable than an incredible gaming moment.
From an insane reveal to a climactic boss fight,
there are certain moments in gaming that stick with us long after the credits roll.
Oftentimes, those moments are accompanied by some absolutely incredible soundtracks
or music that makes them truly unforgettable.
Well, on today's episode, we're breaking down five of the best songs to Ever Grace
a video game moment, the ones that give you chills or make you sit back and just lose yourself
in the vibes. Before we get to that, some introductions are in order. I am your host Josh and joining me,
he's been known to belt out a few songs here and there. And while I hate to admit it,
sometimes it ain't so terrible to hear him sing. It's Ryan. I don't know. I never know what to do
when they're like actually somewhat kind.
It's like, it's just like catches me so off guard.
I was like, uh, uh, no you, you suck.
No, what do you?
You have had plenty of nice intros, Ryan.
Plenty of them.
Mm-hmm.
Yep.
I'd say at least like 3% are nice.
That is plenty.
We've done a lot of episodes, so I guess that would be plenty.
Exactly.
So much how you look at it.
Well, thank you.
Thank you.
I appreciate it.
You're welcome.
See, way to be optimistic.
And joining us.
One of his main points for loving indies is.
the incredible focus on music and original soundtracks.
And as today's list shows, he ain't wrong.
It's A's.
Vindicated once again in my love of indie games.
That is like one of the first things, though,
we always point out is how good the music is and how good the backing vocals sometimes
can be for songs.
Like, it's just good.
We, I mean, we pulled up a list of five songs.
And before everybody's like, it's going to be,
Halo, it's going to be Skyrim.
Oh, no contrary.
We went deep.
We went deep.
And I guarantee you that there's probably a couple songs in here that y'all don't know about.
And then we are actually going to play them for you.
So don't worry.
You're going to hear them during this episode.
And you are going to understand at that point why we are bringing these songs up and the moments
that go with them.
Now, some of them you're going to know.
There's a few.
but we really, we went deep into the recesses of our gamer experience and we went, guys, do you remember that time?
Like, Ryan, there's one that A-St didn't get to play this game with us and we discovered this naturally.
By playing this game, you were hijacked to play this game actually.
I was, I was.
And you and I were playing and all of a sudden, we were just like, wait, what is that?
And you and I sat there for a solid like four minutes just viving.
I mean, vibe into this song.
Yep.
Yeah. And so that's what we have pulled out for everybody. Again, some of these, very common. You know, you all have heard them before. But there's a few on here that I'm willing to bet. Most people have not heard. Or if you heard it, you're going to know why it was such a cool moment in a game. And again, we're going to be playing those for y'all out there. So a little bit of a musical episode here. It's going to be good. And if you know all five, let us know so we can recognize your gaming and musical prowess to the heavens. But if someone gets all five, I'll be.
very impressed.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, well, they're going to hear them, like I said. So if nothing else,
this is going to be a vibes episode while we chill and listen to these songs for a little bit.
Now, don't worry, we clipped them. We clipped out the best parts. We're not going to make everybody
listen to like a four-minute song like five times during this episode. But you're going to get it.
So before we get to that, though, we do have a couple people to thank. Number one, long time
member of the community, the one and only Dingus Khan, who has been.
around for a while decided you know what boys I am going legendary and he signed up for legendary
status to support the show gave us just a big old thank you and said man I just I've been around
a long time I love what you guys do and I wanted to support you so dingus our good friend
thank you buddy yeah very much massive help dingus call there's nothing more legendary than
dingus calm yeah that's very true yeah right and our big fans of the term dingus
in general.
Oh, I use it all time.
I like that one.
And then we do have a brand new rare member who I have not seen in the Discord
server.
So if you're hearing this, come join the Discord.
But no void signed up for rare status.
And if I think I know this currency, they are from like one of the Scandinavian countries
because it's like DKK.
And so I don't know what that actual.
But it's just, listen, it's one of our brothers or sisters from over the
the seas and thank you for
yeah
my Q's tuning in
yeah we're global boys
we're global
uh
also I did have to look up the conversion to know
which tier they signed up
I don't know what to say like they did so now we know
but thank you no void for signing up
for rare status there as well
all right
guys I don't like
how do we want to do this man
like I do
want to say like anytime we're going to
bring up one of these songs.
Like we have to set the mood a little bit.
I say we got to set the mood of how we got to that moment.
Yeah.
Like how we got here,
why this song is such a vibe,
why we pulled it out for this episode.
Ace,
let's just toss it to you.
I mean,
I'm looking at this list.
There is one,
two, three,
four out of our five songs on this list.
Because we picked five.
Our indie games and songs from indies.
So again,
the focus on an OST,
so original soundtrack and music is super important to indie games and as this list proves,
you ain't wrong, Ace.
Yeah, I mean, indie's obviously been killing it lately especially.
But I want to start all the way back from last year with Hades 2 when we entered the second boss floor.
The entire time you're playing through this boss floor, you're hearing muffled music down below you.
And he was like, what is that?
What is going on down there?
And you finally get down there.
And what do you hear?
Dude, this song, I'm going to play it here in just a second for people.
But this song is an original that was made for this game.
It is.
And not only that, but the characters you hear singing this song are actually the voices of the characters and the singer.
So this isn't one where it was like, hey, the voice actors can't sing.
And so we're going to have like professionals do it.
Like these voices for the song are actually the voices of the characters in the game.
And that song is known as Coral Crown.
And here we go.
That was me dying because I died a lot in that game.
Yeah.
I would purposely stay alive so I could hear as much of that song as I could.
Even if I didn't think I was going to win the fight, I'd just start dodging around.
I was always trying to purposely stay alive.
It didn't work very often.
I was really good at Hades, too.
So this is
Skila.
Skilla was the name of the boss.
Sirens, yeah.
Sill in the sirens, there you go.
I remember hearing this and thinking like,
what the heck is this boss fight?
And then, like, you're just trying to stay alive.
Like, so anybody's like, okay, well, I'm just trying to stay alive.
But then you start to notice the music.
And that's when you're like, wait a minute.
Like, what is this song that is playing in the background?
And then every run after that, you just.
start to notice and then like he said by the third fourth fifth time you are just jamming i mean
jamming out to the song dude it's one of those things where like uh um the music within the game
you know we've seen it in a lot of different games and we're going to talk about some of them today
but like when it just gets you so hyped for the game it's like it draws you in even more and that's
that's a really cool feature of just the music to where you're not you're not thinking about the
music, you're like, you get locked in.
You hear the music, it amps you up, and you're
locked into play. And I think
that's something special about, you know, what they did here.
And this one's special, too, because it's diogenic.
Like, it's happening in the game. And not
only are we hearing it, she's
hearing it too. Like, everyone can hear this. It's
happening in this moment. It's not something
that's being played over. Yeah. I think it's
just super freaking cool. I was going to say it was an amazing
moment. Yeah, I know. I didn't know what that
word. I was like, diogenetic. The music
is being played within the scene. You're experiencing
it. Oh. Okay.
Where else would it be played in?
In the back, like as in a over...
Like a background?
We have some songs that aren't dietic on here.
Oh, all right.
I got you.
I love what Hades 2 did.
This is one of the reasons that, honestly, in our opinion,
Hades 2, like, literally is almost a perfect video game.
I mean, I think all three of us rated at 10 out of 10.
The music that went along with this is incredible.
I mean, this song in particular really just sticks with you.
The reason I say that is because everybody that just heard that is now singing it,
like going down.
Down.
And it's just a banger, man.
And then they're probably going to go.
You've got the three, you've got the drummer.
Yeah.
You've got the drummer.
You've got the guitar girl.
You've got the lady singing and Silla and moving around.
And what a cool boss fight, man.
So.
All right.
There you go.
There's one of them.
Ryan, I'm going to toss this one to you because this is, I think you and Ace discovered
this song when you guys were playing.
This is the one I was going to.
This is us.
Okay.
And I'm not going to lie.
I was a little jealous.
Actually, it was a lot jealous because you two were like,
Josh, oh, we just had the greatest run ever.
We just discovered so much and we beat the boss and blah, blah, blah.
And I'm at work or something.
And I'm like, yeah, I hate both you guys.
And then you both, like, linked a song to me.
And I was like, why are you guys linking a song?
Like, what, what?
But I guess you guys found the area where this song plays or something.
So tell the people what this is.
why it kind of just was such a vibe
and why you guys wanted to pick this one
for this episode. So this
comes from the game, the one the only
smash hit,
Absalom. Very, very
underrated. If you haven't played it,
you should really, really check it out. It is
that awesome kind of
throwback, just beat him up game. It is so, so cool.
And Ace and I were playing, and believe it or not, we were actually
streaming at the time. And we
go through this level and we beat this mission.
and it was tough and hard,
and then we go to the next section.
And all of a sudden,
this just beautiful,
majestic music starts
from this character,
and they start singing to us
and we're,
we just, like, sit back,
and we just literally stopped
and listened to the whole thing.
On stream,
we're just like,
hold up, guys,
we got to check this out
because it was so good.
And we were blown away right after.
I remember we looked it up,
and that's when we linked it to you.
We're like,
Josh,
you got to check out this song.
It's so amazing.
But that's,
you'll dream.
from Rachel Hardy on Appalm,
and it's an original song that she sang as well.
She does a lot of covers,
but it's her original song.
All right,
well,
let's check this out.
Also, Rachel Hardy,
I didn't know this until we started doing research for this episode.
Rachel Hardy,
shout out to you.
I mean,
if you ever want to come on the podcast,
because her voice,
honestly,
in gaming is iconic at this point.
I'd no idea how many video game songs
that are so impactful that she has sung.
But let's check out Yeldrum.
Pilgrims ride the black waves hoping for a fine grave a song for a feeling business was flourishing
lyrics to remember dying gets easier a hollow shell was my heart before it blew apart
yaldrim y'l dream city of free living you lived like a sinner you'll die like a king
You all dream, we all dream
City of free living
You lived like a sooner
You'll die like a clean
God
The chills
It gives you chills just hearing it again
And it was so cool that we got to experience that
Live on stream for like blind
Like we brought this NPC to the end of this quest
They just start singing
And then you and I both just like
Oh I'm staying right here
I'm not leaving
I'm not leaving till this is over
Yeah
Dude
Where does a song like that kind of
come from. You know what I mean? Like in a game like Absalom and that's not I'm not saying that
absalom if you have not played Absalom you are missing out people. We are telling you like this is a
game that only gets better in our memory and it was awesome in the first place like trust us when
we say play Absalom but the fact that a song like this is just kind of hidden in the game and then
just comes out of nowhere and hits you. This is like the experience that we're talking about and
And you're going to kind of see some themes with, you know, with these songs where it's just sometimes they're unexpected.
Sometimes you're like, what is this?
Like they highlight a scene or a boss fight or just a moment, dude.
And, you know, people that aren't watching videos, Ryan sat back and started pointing at his arm like, I'm getting chills.
And it's like, yes, that is what we are talking about.
And Yeldrum fits just perfectly, man.
Like the, it's so good.
And Rachel Hardy's voice is incredible.
Oh, she does you so off guard.
too, dude. Like, you're just like, you're hacking and slashing. Yeah, and then you just come
into this beautiful, majestic, amazing song. The tone just shifts and you're just like, and I said it was
her, I said it was an original, it's original for the game. It was composed by a Gareth,
cocker. Coker, something like that, Coker. I'm going to stick with Coker. Yep, Gareth, yeah,
with Rachel Hardy. And the Rachel Hardy does the vocals, but, yeah, it was, she does a ton of
covers, too. She's got a bunch of cool Skyrim stuff and all kinds of stuff. She's got an amazing voice.
for people that remember that have been around for a while when we interviewed
Hair Brain Studios, the Graft, the makers of Graft, which is coming out, we talked,
go look up the trailer.
We don't have it built into this episode, but go look up the trailer for Graft.
And there is one of the most bangers songs for the trailer for Graft, and that's Rachel Hardy.
And we talked to the developers about that.
And if you remember, they were like, bro, she's incredible, dude.
Like the fact that she made that song just for the trailer of Graft was not.
nuts, dude. So Rachel Hardy, shout out to you, but also what an incredible song, Yeldrum and
Absalom. Way to just, just put that in there, man. And create that moment in a game, dude.
Unbelievable. All right, listen, we've got, we've got a few more to get to. We're going to take a
quick break, and then we're going to come back with quite possibly one of the most iconic songs
in a game at this point. We'll be right back after this break.

Scotia Bank.
You're richer than you think.
Right, we're back.
Guys, this song needs no introduction.
Listen, this is the longest.
You know, we've trimmed all these for all of you out there,
but just you got you got 64 seconds, okay, of just,
either reminiscing and you're going to know this
and it is going to hit you like a ton of bricks
if you have not played this game
trust me when I say that the moment that this song kicks in
you are just your jaw is on the floor
your body is just chills
you're just you are ready
for the most amazing fight ever
here we go people
such a good song
I love this song so much
you can't tell that clip was a little bit longer than the others
Josh is a big man.
No, it needed it because listen.
This song, I trim this.
This is an 11-minute song.
Oh my God.
It's an 11-minute song and it takes two minutes of build-up to get to that point.
But that point is unbelievable.
And that goes, I don't want to, I'm not even going to say who the boss fight is just on the options.
Sounds like Expedition 33.
I say, yeah, don't give it away.
Yeah, it is Expedition 33.
The name of the song is Unvae, Pena.
Now, Ace, you had brought up, because this might be a little confusing for people that know this game, but you brought up another Unvai song, which is...
Unvae Timier.
To meir.
Bless you.
Which is, it's part of the same, like...
You mentioned it.
It's part of the same, like, trilogy of songs.
They all sound similar, but tell different stories.
Yeah.
And my...
Just another part of the genius of Expedition 33, by the way, that the music tells the story so well.
Wait, is that for different endings?
no it's different parts of the game just different parts of the story like you know the beginning
middle and ends they translate to like a life to paint a life to save and a life to dream or
something like that and so they kind of go into the three different aspects of expedition 33 which
we won't spoil but they coincide with the story of the game into different parts of the story
as you were discovering certain aspects of it too it's a masterpiece dude but this song in
particular. I prefer Piedre because it is the most epic of the of the three, especially in
this boss fight. Ace, the one that you mentioned, I think is the first time around.
It's the very first time you hear it is. Yeah. And it's a little bit more reserved, a little bit more
like strings instruments, which I normally love. But Piedre, this one just hits, dude, the way it just
builds up and crashes down. I absolutely love. I mean, there, dude, Expedition 33-7.
track is bananas. And I will say this because I've made this joke before.
But when I was playing Expedition 33 and immediately after, I went around work and my house
and I would just cue up this drop right here.
And I would just play this like 30 times a day randomly.
Dad again. I just, I hear that and my mind just immediately goes to, we only need to
incapacitate him. We'll find a way to kill him.
Dude, I don't know, dude.
This game, I've had a hankering to run through this game again.
I probably will at some point, which is super rare.
But the music is absolutely incredible.
I'd love to go through it again, honestly.
I'd love to go through it blind again.
Just no knowledge what I'm doing or what's going on.
If I could wipe my memory for Expedition 33, I would.
So listen, we were just telling you people to play Absalom.
I am amazed at the number of people that have not played Expedition 33 out there.
This is a top, like, six game.
Game of the year for a reason.
It, you got, you, you have to play Expedition 33 people.
The only way that we would say don't play this is if you were like Ryan and you just
absolutely despise turn-based combat.
I would say, it's like, okay, maybe it's not for you.
But even then, I'd still probably try it.
That's what I would say.
Even then try it.
And if you still don't like it, watch the cutscene movie.
I literally, what I always tell everybody.
And I gave it, I gave Expedition a really good score because I recognize its greatness and
just cinematically with the game.
play in the music and everything that it offers.
It's all there.
I just hate that format and that style, but I recognize what it is.
It's still something you should check out.
Like, it's, it's, it's something that's definitely worth a shot, worth, you know,
giving your time to take a peek at you, especially if you can maybe get it on sale or
something like that.
But it's, it's an amazing game.
And it's got all the recognition for a reason.
Yeah.
Oh, my God.
Another one.
Can't stop me.
I should have knew.
He has too much power.
I should have too much power.
Who gave him all this power?
Oh, man.
So there you go.
Play Expedition 33 people.
Play Absalom people.
Play Hades 2 people.
Play Hades 2.
Play Absalom.
Actually, all the games we talk about, you're going to want to play.
Play everything we talk about because we only play good games.
Yeah.
All right.
Ace, I would throw.
this back to you,
but you have not played either one
of these next two games. I know.
You guys just picked great moments that I
didn't get to experience myself yet.
Yeah, well, that's on you. So, Ryan, I'm going to
toss it back to you because this is the one that I
hinted at, where you and I
got absolutely lost.
I mean, just
just to set the stage, the game is a game
called Endless Dungeon. Yep.
You were hijacked to play
it, but I don't even remember who at this point.
But you had never played the Rogue Like
before was what it was. And they were like, okay, well, I'm picking this game because I had
expressed interest in playing this. You would never played it. And they basically just went,
Ryan, you have to play this. So you and I hopped in. There's a quest where you retrieve a character
or some quest or something like that. And that character shows up in the hub world. And it's kind
of like a singer for this band that is in the hub part of this game. I'm going to let you take it
from here, dude, because I just remember you and I being like, oh, look, there's the thing.
we walk up and you interact and they start just playing songs.
And then we were like, what the heck?
Yeah, we're sitting in this world.
And like Josh said, there's like this hub where you can go and you can upgrade things and
unlock new areas and basically set yourself up for more runs, you know, in the endless dungeon,
blah, blah, blah.
But there's also a stage, you know, off right.
And you get this character and they go there and you can go interact.
And once it starts up, they play this song.
And normally you just kind of go.
off and we're about to go run and do another run.
We're just like, yeah, whatever. We finish that mission. Let's go do another.
Josh and I, like, stopped dead in our tracks.
And we just sat there, like, with goosebumps, like, we'll probably get now when he plays this
song. Hopefully you get him too. And we were just blown away.
And you're watching the characters, like the little characters are playing it, too, on the stage.
And you can watch all the musicians. It was, it was just something awesome. It's called Free Again.
From Lera Lynn. Lera. Lera. Lera. Lera.
I would say it.
It's amazing.
So let's,
let's hear it.
There was, right at the end.
There's a goosebumps.
Just kicked in, man.
And then having not played the game, I told you guys,
this just sounded to be like someone was singing to, like,
someone on death row,
like you're all due.
Dude, and that's,
to a fight.
We were in the middle of a game.
We never,
ever expected it.
And I think that's what caught us so of guard with it.
It made it such a unique experience for Josh and I,
to where it was like,
and then afterwards we're like
dude that was it took us a minute to like
regain our composure and like all right I guess
I guess let's go do another one we're
we're off to our doom or something I don't know I don't know what we're
going to go do but we're I learned something from this episode guys
rog likes have really good surprising music more
yeah apparently so
when you get gamers to just stop in their tracks
and just sit there and not move like that's
legitimately what Ryan and I did dude like we had no idea
Like we knew it was a band.
We knew they were going to play some music.
And then this song just starts belting out.
And we were just like, what on earth?
Like, what is this song, dude?
And they cycle through like three or four songs that were made for this game, by the way.
These are not just songs that they imported.
They were actually created for Endless Dungeon.
But yeah, dude, we had no idea.
And I mean, every time we would go in and we'd run up and be like, let's see if they play the song again.
You know, oh my gosh, dude.
this honestly all these songs are amazing this one might be the one that i'd like vibe to the most
and i just want to have like playing around my house yeah because it is haunting dude it is
it's like a smooth sultry like haunting like trip where you're just like just viving with it it's
like when you just kick back and relax too for sure all right well talking talking about
viking with the song oh boy this but this might be the most well known so this is the one like
other than expedition 33 maybe but
But this is one where I don't know that anybody was ready for this segment in this game.
And the game is Red Dead Redemption.
So there's probably going to be people like, all right, I know what you're talking about already.
I know what you're talking about.
It's not Red Dead Red Dead Redemption too.
This isn't Arthur's ride, you know.
That's the way it is.
Yeah.
This is from the original Red Dead Red Dead redemption.
You are John Marston, you are heading down to Mexico.
And you've got to go down there and you're on your horse and you're like,
all right, I got this long horse ride in front of me.
And, you know, you pull up the little map so you know where your little path is or whatever,
and you start riding.
And then all of a sudden, the camera kind of starts to like pan back a little bit.
And you are just chilling.
And then this song starts to play.
Step in front of a runaway crane just to feel alive again.
Ain't just a lower side.
It's so far, so far away.
It's so far, so far away.
No, why just stop it?
I know, dude.
Rides over.
What is it?
What is it about this moment, dude?
Like, obviously Red Dead Red Dead Redemption, incredible game, you know,
but there is something.
about this moment and I don't know if it's like all the chaos and the murder and the death
and the severity and then you're just a dude just riding those horse to Mexico. Yeah. And this
song play and it's probably like I mean that's probably a solid like two minute segment of the
game where you know we've trimmed it obviously but this thing just goes and you were just
vibing watching you just ride man and I don't know dude it hits it hits on another level to me.
Absolutely. I don't know. I could feel the vibe.
just from the music alone,
just like what's going on?
Like,
oh,
yeah,
just riding a man alone with his thoughts.
Yep,
cruising now,
especially in that time period
and what Marston went through.
And this is the one thing,
two things.
One,
this shows like,
um,
how many moments we have with these games
with Rockstar and you can say what you want about them.
And,
and there's a lot good and there's a hell,
heck of a lot bad.
But they're so good at setting a scene and then,
and then setting,
you know,
musically,
you know,
we saw it again in Red Dead 2.
Like there's there's a
good aptitude for them to create a moment
And there's always moments that they make
And they tied in with music
And having said that
Music like makes such an impact
On any situation in any scene
We see it in movies
We see it and just like
Just TikTok reels and everything else
You like put some dumb like emotional track
Behind something whatever
And people are drawn to it
So it shows the impact that music has
not only the games but everything
you know but we see it in here you know
because we're talking about the games like what
what it does for these scenes and
this gameplay um and it's
it's just so cool to see and it's so cool
to feel and experience because and this
when you're playing you're not just listening to a song
you're experiencing the song through
this gameplay which is so cool because you have
a different connection to it than you normally would if you're just
hit and play and just listening to it on your couch so
um it's tied in with something that you're
controlling which is why I
love the music in gameplay that's tied in and quite frankly why we did this episode and we'll
probably do some more like this is just this is awesome like I could do four hours of this easy
yeah this is a universal language yeah ultimately yeah I mean you know and the ace that's
kind of funny because like I know you have some honorable mentions that we kind of talked about
too and I know like there's going to be people that see the title for this episode they're going
be like it's going to be Halo like who doesn't know halo's you know menu music and the warthog run at halo
three and you know the Ryan you brought it up skyrim right like the you know the the
dovakin song and just the skyrim music and stuff like that we talked about god of war with
the like unveiling the plates of chaos music and i mean there's all of these moments in games
that are incredible moments that are only like solidified in our memories with this music and it's it's just
telling because like every time we played one of these songs like one of us was like i got chills
dude i got chill bumps because it gives that emotional weight to whatever we're seeing on the
screen or what we have experienced with that character this is why we absolutely love gaming
and when you can have a memory or a memorable scene and then put the just the like the punctuation on it
with a song that resonates so well it's it's it's it's
incredible, dude. It's absolutely
incredible. You know,
that's not counting like soundtracks. Like, A's
you're probably going to bring up, I hope you're going to bring
up rip and tear from Doom. Oh, yeah.
Rip and tear for sure. Rip and tear
and what is the other one?
They only have you to fear or something
like that. Yeah, something like that. Oh, that's the one I said
earlier. Yeah, Doom soundtrack
is legendary, dude. Now, we
don't have clips for it, but it's like, you know,
you really want to get amped up and feel like you could run
through a brick wall. The only thing they fear
is you.
That's what it is.
Yeah.
Do you.
Play some, play some doom.
Play the soundtrack to that.
That'll get you fired up, man.
You know, so this is one where we kind of wanted to bring it back just a little bit and say, like, here's some true moments that stood out that weren't just the iconic soundtracks like, you know, Skyrim and, and, and, uh, halo and stuff like that.
We wanted to go a little bit deeper.
All right, Ace, do you have any other honorable mentions?
Uh, biggest one for me is the parting glass at the end of Black Flag.
Yeah, which we played at the end of that episode.
the end of that episode, but that is a moment that just hits in it.
You feel it.
You feel the impact of everything.
Edward has given up everything and is ready to go home.
And you realize the weight is off his shoulders for now.
Yeah, for now.
Yeah.
There's, dude, there's so many songs in games.
I have a feeling we'll wind up doing another one of these episodes.
I don't want to give them all away, but I would also say like anything from Persona 5.
You're right.
Yeah.
Final Fantasy has a lot of moments.
like I know with Final Fantasy 7 the original
like with Arith her death had
like a song that went with it that
really kind of hits home
there's there's just so many man
I mean we've covered it just for like as far
as moments go which the song ties into it
but like the snake snake eater
the latter climb well that's we almost
pulled that one if we hadn't
just brought it up that was
going to be one that we definitely mentioned
yeah
snake eater
yeah that was so good
which also I had never seen that
scene before and then I was like, what is this
absolutely beautiful song doing
with climbing a ladder? They had to do something
when you climb a ladder for two minutes, dude.
I was like, what else you're going to do that whole time, man?
Just have a conversation going. You'd go crazy.
Yeah. What a workout.
Dude, you would be exhausted.
That's where you need the Doom soundtrack, climbing
that ladder to get to the top. Yeah, because
that's why everyone's a zip line now in games.
They don't make you climb big letters. Yeah.
That's fair too. All right.
So just to recap, guys, the five
songs that we mentioned, because I know there's going to be people who are like, link me, link me the
song, man, I want to add this to my playlist. So the five songs that we covered far away by Jose
Gonzalez. This is the Red Dead Redemption ride to Mexico. We have Unvaia Piedre by Lillian
Testard, which is Expedition 33. It's a boss fight. It won't spoil that for people. Yeldrum by Rachel
Hardy in Absalom. Free again by Lara Lynn from Endless Dungeon and Coral Crown.
by Aaron Yvette in Hades to all right.
Listeners, we want to know what song stands out to you.
All right.
