There's a lot to be excited about when it comes to gaming. But perhaps even more exciting is that Ryan will be doing his game court punishment live on this show as he takes on the Hot Ones Challenge. the episode. Before we get to the fun of watching Ryan suffer and the hopefully glorious games this month, some introductions are in order. I am your host Josh and joining me, the word of the day for him is regret because he's about to regret this episode and the aftermath that's sure to follow. It's Ryan. Yes. Valhalla Ryan we feel pretty bad about that and joining us he's been busy trying out deadlock not because he was curious about the game but because because they released a character called the Rat King. It's Ace. Gotta say, Rat King, pretty peak design. Deadlock might be winning in the unique hero shooter category for me. Ace is so ridiculous about rats. When he, like, he saw that, popped through,

and then he hit both of us up. He's like, you guys got, you guys got into the Deadlock beta, right? And we're like, yeah, he's like, I can't get a key. I can't get a key. You guys have to send me one. And Josh is like, I told him no. He's like, I'm not down. No.

No, I'm not going to download Deadlock so you can play the Rat King. I felt so bad. I'm like, practice range. All right, Ace, I'll get you the stupid Rat King. You know he's not going to play Deadlock. It's not like he's going to get into Deadlock and start playing it. For like an hour or two. And I'm like, I'm not installing the game for Ace so that he can play one round with the Rat King, have no idea what's going on and then uninstall it.

So I was straight up just like, no. And then Ryan, Ryan's a softie. I'm a man of the people. I'm a people pleaser. That's why I'm a people. I was like doing this stupid challenge today. I'll install it and I'll shoot you the invite when I get home. And then I was like,

Sucker. As a man of his word, he did. I did. And then I immediately uninstalled it. Yeah. Yeah. I, dude, I will place a bet right now that if we wait a week, ACE's playtime and deadlock is no more than three hours tops, dude.

Like tops. It's all going to be in the practice range running around as the rat king and listening to dialogue. Yeah. Yeah. There's over a hundred lines of dialogue for throwing rats. out because they're all named. Oh my gosh. We talked about Nirvana before the episode.

You got this rabies, Ronnie. Oh, my gosh. Ace is in Nirvana with this rat kid guy throwing rats at people, man. He's in his happy place there. I am. Well, listen, welcome in chat, everybody. We are so thankful to have you all here with us. These live shows are a lot of fun.

We don't know what's going to happen. We are going to be covering October's hottest releases. There's a guys. I mean, this list is nuts. A couple of these, well, one of these games has released already. A couple of them released officially tomorrow. We're going to be covering all those. Ryan, are we going to start off with the wing right away?

How are we doing this, man? Yeah, I think we can do that. Yeah, let's start off with the. Bring it down for us too, what you're having. So what we got here for this challenge is we ordered the hot ones pack. It's only three. So I made some of my own sauce that is probably spicier than the first one. one or second one, but we'll just do it in the order from what I made to the rest.

So I'm going to start with this one. I call it like sticky fingers or like a honey hot. It's basically a big, it's like a ton of red hot with brown sugar and some garlic and onion powder and then a bunch of like cayenne pepper and stuff like that. So I spice it up a little. We'll start with that. Then we got the Saracha one. That's a three.

We got the tropical amarillo, which is a. and then we're going to go to the one I'm worried about. The last dab, Thermageddon. Ace was so kind to send me a video of the people on the Hot On Show eating it, and they were just pouring like saliva and mucus. It made Terry Cruz cry. Yeah. So a lot of, I was very excited after he sent me that.

This one is the hot one. It's 11 out of 10. You know, go figure how those numbers work. But we'll just start with the simple one for the beginning. I also like how it goes from three, six, and then just 11. 11. There's no 9 in between. There's no like, hey, no 10 straight to 11. Yeah.

All right. So this one I freaking love. What do you got there? You got some nuggies? Yeah. We're not doing wings because wings and keyboards don't go well together. That one's just delicious. That's to prime the taste buds there.

Set the palate. Yeah. Set the palette. Ryan knows what this tastes like. He's an expert on this one. All right. Well, we'll throw it to Ryan to eat another one here and move up the chain as we talk about these. All right, everybody, let's start off.

This game is out. We covered this on an episode recently. We talked about it. That is Ace Combat 8 Wings of Thave. You know, this game kind of came out of nowhere to really, really rave reviews. There was a lot of, you know, a lot of YouTubers that were covering this and speaking very highly of it. A lot of gaming websites were talking. very highly of it.

Everybody's heard of Ace Combat before. I don't know how many of you out there have played it. I think the general feeling is mostly like, yeah, I don't really play like Jet Fighter games. You know, it's probably like the common response from most people. And again, neither of none of us have played, I mean, I've played Ace Combat. I can't even tell you which one it was. It was so long ago. It might have been one.

It might have been five. I have no idea which Ace Combat I played. I do remember liking it. These are Arcady, so these are not like sim, you know, trying to, you know, just struggle to control the jet. Any interest from either of you in Ace Combat 8? No. I've got as much interest in Ace Combat as I do as, like, War Thunder. I just, eh, it's these military sim games where you fly around or you drive a tank around and that's all you kind of do.

Just don't really grab me. Yeah, I don't see this. Although I do think I played this series on like the Wii, which is probably the worst one in the series. That's not a good introduction to the series, dude. You played a jet fighting game on the Wii? Yeah, did you have the motion control? I bet you held the Wii controller out like a plane and he were like, ooh.

And it was just like a dot. Man, I hate this. That's all it was. Why does everything look so bad? Oh my goodness. I think I am hesitant to try it because I know myself and then all want to buy pedals and a joystick. and try to get a whole set up.

Like, I'll be like, because I always wanted to be a pilot as a kid. So, you know, turn it on crazy stormy weather and just go out. I played like, as a kid I always remember because I saved up for it. And I got F-22 Lightning 3. And I would set the craziest storms.

And this was in like 1999 or 2000. And I would just fly all day long. It was awesome. I don't know if I'll get this one, but I don't know, maybe it goes on a cool sale and then I can just check it out. I probably will. All right.

Well, to generate curiosity for people, this game is sitting at an 88 on Metacritic right now. It comes very highly recommended for people, even if you are not fan of, you know, jet fighter type games. Longtime community member, awesome member of the community, Bobby has been playing it and just beat the campaign. So I reached out to Bobby and I said, hey, man, like, what do you think? You know, and he said, eight and a half. Yeah, he said it's an eight and a half for me. It's a really solid game. He said, you know, it's got like any eight and a half.

He said it's got its little bit of a down points, but mostly this is a really solid game. I asked him if he thought it was worth the money because that's a big question for everybody. And he said if he basically he said, if you watch the trailer for this game and your interest is peaked in this, he said at that point, it's probably a goodbye, you know, at that point. Like he said, if you watch a trailer and you go, hey man, I think this actually looks pretty good. then he said he doesn't not think that you will be disappointed. We've known Bobby for a really long time. He's got, I mean,

he's, you know, he doesn't have like, you know, my game tastes necessarily, but he's got pretty good take. So we'll, we'll trust him on that one.

I think this is the guy who puts you on to Remnant 2. I mean, we got to give him his credit. Thanks, Bobby. We appreciate it. Yeah, yeah,

we appreciate you putting. Josh would have never known otherwise. You know what, Bobby, I'll tell you what, when you be, when you beat Remnant 2 on Armageddon mode, you let me know.

And then I'll put you on the pedestal right next to me at that point. Challenge delivered. Yeah. All you get to stand next to me? Or Ace Combat 8 is already out. It's out for PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X and S and PC. Watch the trailer. If you think that looks good, this game might be one you want to check out, people.

Yeah. Yeah. $89.99 for the deluxe edition. That sounds like that's pretty short. That's a lot. But it's supposed to be a really good game. If it's that good, I mean, it's that good. We've seen $70 games that are worth the price before.

So yeah. All right. Tomorrow's the big day people. We've got two major releases coming out tomorrow. We've got Gears of War E-Day. So this is honestly one of the largest releases from Microsoft and Xbox in a while. You know, I have been a huge fan of Gears of War back in the Xbox 360 days. You know, Gears of War was second to like Halo for people that had an Xbox. Oh, yeah. Ryan's nodding because it's like these games were fantastic. Fantastic. The series fell off after a little while. I'll be honest, I don't even think I played Gears of War 5. I remember dabbling in Gears of War 4 and doing some of the multiplayer stuff there. I don't know if it's because of the other game that releases tomorrow, but I have zero hype for Gears of War E-Day right now, which sounds baffling to like to my own self. Wild.

But like, where you guys are with this, man? I don't know. You've had no hype for this game, like, from release. I don't know why. To release, like early reviews. Nothing. I don't know why. It's like you're like a dead body in the forest.

We've got to poke you with a stick to see if you're still alive. Every time we mention gears of war you day. Hey. Okay. Hey. Well, you have got this. Chainsaw guns. What do you think about it?

I'm supposed to get the hype from you two who grew up with the series and it's supposed to be hyping me on it. I didn't grow up with this series. I don't care about this series. I'll tell you why I don't have hype for this. because again, the series fell off. You know, one and two were absolutely peak gaming. Three was good. Four was okay and five was not even good enough for me

to even have interest enough to play it. And so when that happens to a series, it's very difficult to suddenly go like, my hype levels through the roof again, you know, just instantaneously like that. Ryan, how do you feel about this? Because, I mean, you're a big fan of Gears of War also, but I feel like you're with me

where there's just not really any, like, excitement right now. Yeah, it's there. and when I see gameplay and I see stuff about it, it brings back those memories and I want to check it out. But I'm so stinking excited for Galactic Racer. That's where the hype is. And so it's kind of over off to the side. I'm not thinking about it, but this is the one over here.

So it's kind of my eyes are in a different spot right now. I am excited for it. I would love to check it out. I love to rekindle those feelings as the old days of doing all that with Marcus and Dom and Coltrane and all that stuff. Dude, you even see Maria. I saw a tree where Maria's in it, and, like, he introduces his wife Maria.

And then I was like, man. Yeah. Yeah, so. Spoilers, dude. Spoilers. Yeah, whatever. That series, no one's playing. 15 years old at this point. Well, older than that maybe.

So for anybody that's interested, reviews are coming out for Gears of War E-Day. It's currently sitting at an 83 on Metacritic, which is a fair, I mean, that's a solid rating. It's not exceptional, but it's not. But for, But for like Gears of War, you know what I mean? For this being like one of the biggest releases for Xbox in a while, I feel like 83 is kind of just mid, which then kind of goes like, that's, that makes me a little sad and a little disappointed.

And also makes me kind of go like, well, I'm glad I'm not super hyped for it at the same time. That's fair. I feel like Xbox is really struggling with their first party titles. Yeah, they're all the struggle bus, man. Do you want to hear the worst part? whether they're also in charge of fable so it's not a good sign no no but that may that may become the worst part how much do you think it costs to make oh gosh oh let's just pick a certain hundreds of millions i'm gonna say 300 million yeah that was my whatever close

for upwards of 400 million dollars should make a 300 million one ace oh right yeah there you go 400 million recoup this money no this is ridiculous dude this is what's How long is the game? I don't know. All I know is all these government are all these development companies seem like they're being run by the government. Because there's got to be so much bloat to be 400 million. It's not a new IP. It's not a new game.

You're just remaking it. Like what? How do you get to 400 million? It, well, EDA is a new game. Well, Eadie is a new game, but Gears of War is not a new franchise. Yeah. Oh, I see what you're saying. Okay.

Yeah. I was like, don't tell me. This was a remake, too, and they spent three hundred. I don't know. This is one of those games I'll probably absolutely pick up when it goes on sale, and I don't have a game that I'm super excited for, and I finally go like, hey, it's time for me to check out E-Day. I understand that there's people out there that are like, you guys are crazy.

How are you not excited for this? You know, this is one of the biggest releases of the year. And yet at the same time, it's overshadowed by this next game for us. And, all right, so we have a trailer. for everybody. So, you know, we've been talking about Galactic Racer for a long time. We know there's people out there that haven't seen the trailers. So we're going to play a trailer here for everybody. So you can see the trailer. Then we're going to talk about the game, why we're so excited and also why we just got hit with a massive, just depressing thing that we found out about this game. So let's

play the trailer first. And then that way everybody can check it out here. So this is Galactic Racer coming out literally tomorrow. Our newest racer has arrived. Welcome to the Galactic League. Since you're here, why not take part in a friendly exhibition race? They weren't holding me back right now. I have you frozen in carbonate.

See the end of the trailer apparently. There we go. Wow, what an ending. Yeah. I mean, guys. That looks so good. It looks so good. Number one.

The speed is imperceivable. That is why this game is so exciting, dude. This is an arcade racer that is like it is just peak arcade racing. Most people that we talk to go, I'm not a fan of racing games. Like you do have your fans of racing games and they get really, really into it, but those are mostly sim racers. This arcade racer is makes you feel like. your eyes are going to pop out of your head that you feel like you're going so fast and that to me is a lot of the fun the fact that you know there's turns there's caverns there's shortcuts uh is is it's just awesome man um you get different the way that they have designed this game because obviously this pulls from uh nintendo 64's pod racer um which i was a massive fan of back in the day ryan i know you were too yep um the way that they've kind of evolved this is they're giving you different vehicles. So in Galactic Racer, you can pilot a land speeder, a speeder bike, which we saw in the

trailer, skim speeders, which we saw in the trailer. That's kind of a new one. And then pod racers, obviously, as being like the highest level there. I saw some footage of the pod racers, because those are the fastest ones. It's blistering, dude. Like, it is blistering. You were rocketing across the landscape. Like, it's unimaginable, and I am so here for this man. Like, I could not be excited for this now a little bit of disappointment right hold on before while we I was going to say before the disappointment we're gonna we're gonna hit with a level three here let's turn up the heat yeah we're gonna turn up the heat a little bit yeah we're we're firing up our pod racer engines here Ryan's a igniting and then Ryan you can tell us about this disappointment

after you have yeah this is level three this is going to be like a tasty this will probably be less than my my guys yeah I see I see I think he'll be okay we'll see all right let's see i get kind of hungry these nuggies look good very good spicy good flavor okay spicy spicy spicy spicy okay spicy a spicy or like not as spicy not a spicy but it's got a good spice it's got the syracia spice for sure rach has got a great flavor ryan um why don't when you finish chewing you tell the people the news not i'll preface this but while ryan choose we were so excited for this game because number one, it's, it's pod racing.

It's a blistering fast arcade racer, which kind of fits a lot more people's taste in games. It's easier to dive into these than sim racers where, you know, you spin off the track every two seconds. And the big thing that we were excited for is it is full cross-platform multiplayer up to 12 people races, which we were like, oh my gosh, we have a large community of gamers. We love doing community nights. We are going to be able to do 12 people races. in private lobbies, we had a tournament plan, we had brackets planned. I mean, this was going to be the community night game that we were playing for the next month, at least.

And then literally not last night, but the night before? The night before. What happened, Ryan? That's going to be a no. What do you mean a no? It's going to be a no. So do you have two friends? Do you?

That's all you need because that's all you can do in Star Wars Galactic Race Service. a giant racing game that everybody's been waiting for everybody's wanted we've all looked at it all they've done is talk about having 12 man races i'm sure we're not the only group of people that have all planned on doing stuff together me and gregg have been working on a league we're going to make the the galactic racer league for the for the for the podcast and and then to get that news just like three days before the game drops is is insanity in my opinion i think it's absolutely ridiculous. Who's making these decisions?

Why would you not? Like, why would, you don't, you didn't expect that this was going to be a thing? You didn't think that people were going to look for this and want to team up with their friends and want to team up in big groups. I do not understand it at all. It really upset me. Not enough to turn, turn me off from buying the game, but they better patch that quick. Because there are a lot of people I know that have already said, well, I'm not going to get it

until they fix that stuff. I mean, that was a lot That was a lot of the poll For a lot of people Without that Yeah, really have anything It's worth a lot Yeah, for me

I mean, I'm actually I'm actually a little more interest In the story mode Finding out it's kind of rogue like Adjacent That interests me a little bit But no, otherwise like I've got other games

Oh, I'm sorry Mr. Lucas Yeah These are for big boy games, okay? Yeah. You know, I'm still excited about the game. You can group up with two other people. It puts your group of three into a 12-player race against other people. So, and you're competing.

You know, this isn't like you're working as a team kind of thing. So at least you can play with a couple other friends. Every post that I see the developers make, people are like, when are we getting private lobbies? When are we getting private lobbies? So this is the number one thing that people are like, please give us information. It has been radio silent. from the devs so far. Like there's not been a statement, a hint, hey, we're working on it or anything like that,

which I'm not going to lie, does worry me just a smidge. Most devs would be like, oh yeah, guys, we're working on it. We're hoping to have it in the first week or two. Fine. At that point, like, fine. Okay, at least we have an idea. That's not fine. That's not fine to me.

It's not fine. You should have released your game with this, but I'm still excited about the game. Finish the day game, man. It's crazy to me. I don't know. But what are we going to do? There's nothing we can do, and we want to play it. And we're going to play it.

And we're still playing the game because the game looks like. I know. I know. I know. I will say this. The metacritic scores for this one are out. The reviews are out. This game's being very highly rated, by the way.

A lot of people are saying this is one of the best racing games that has come out in a very long time. This is by the developers. And I didn't play it. Is it burnout? I think it's burnout. Burnout. The same devs. So if you like burnout, which a lot of people can,

consider to be one of the best arcade racers ever. They have the pedigree. This game looks incredible. It has rogue-like elements. It has upgrades. There's different craft that you can pilot. Like, it has everything that you would want in a video game, with the exception of being able to play with 11 other people that you want to play with. So it's sitting at an 86 on Metacritic right now. So very, like I said, very positively received as well. Yeah. Yeah. No, that's good. And chat, let us know. Like, if you, if that deterred you from buying the game, if you were going to get it and now you're not, or if it doesn't matter and you're still going to get it.

I'm sure we'll get those patches and update soon because enough people have asked for it. It's down the road just like disappointing. We knew what kind of game you were making and what kind of audience you were going to draw and you still didn't do that? Like it's a massive oversight, massive oversight. The optimist in me goes, they have matchmaking.

They have 12-player matchmaking. It's cross-platform. The foundation is there. How hard is it to just let me invite 11 people and then create a match. Like, if you have matchmaking already, it's like, this can't be hard to program, man.

Like, I'm no developers, so I don't know, you know, but this, I'm hopeful that we will see, hey, this will be out next weekend kind of thing

or something like that as far as the private lobbies. All right, we got to move on. Ryan, how are you feeling? How's the mouth? Totally fine.

Totally for another one. I assume he would be totally fun. I think we'd need to make Ryan suffer a little bit here. So I think it might be time. I know you just see another. All right. Yeah. Next.

Yeah, in a game trailer. Ace, tell everybody why you're super excited for this game. Because I love the Hellriser franchise, and having a horror game set in that franchise sounds freaking sweet.

And it kind of reminds me of a classic sort of survival horror game, the first person fighting your way through unimaginable horrors, just trying to get back to whatever you're trying to get back to. I don't actually know the plot of this game because it's not been leaked yet, surprisingly. But going through like the Cinnibites dimension, fighting them and trying to just get home probably. Did you call it Cinebites? Those are delicious. Is that like the little

mini Cineobites? No, not like a Cynobon. That's the place in the mall, right? Yeah, that's oh, dude, that smells so good all the time, dude. I hope that Cinebond did a collaboration with Hellraiser where they made some. It's just got little mini, mini Cinnabonds on every pin. It's like It's like when you used to be able to get chick flay in the mall, the little toothpicks,

man. I'll be honest, I don't do many horror games. This game looks pretty dang good, man. I've always liked the imagery of Hallraiser. This is going to be a good, good spooky season game, man. It looks super well done.

I will say from the trailer alone, This is very much rated M. They do not pull any punches with this game. Like a horror game should, in my opinion. Ryan's hitting that water up. Ryan, how you doing over there? I'm good. I'm good.

that the combat looked a little stiff. It is not. This game feels very responsive. It is really, really well done video game, people. You know, it's difficult. I mean, there is no qualms about it. This is very much a souls-like game.

Even the trash mobs can wreck you. It is set in this weird alternate Napoleonic War where some weird outbreak happens. And, you know, you're seeing all these like pustules and things on these zombie kind of like things and stuff like that this i'm actually really excited about valor mortis by the way like the demo absolutely sold me on this game the graphics are beautiful the sound design is great the combat is top notch in this one um you know it's hard to get that through a trailer but you all out there should really be thinking about valor mortis because this game

also by the way it's from the developers of ghost runner who know how to do parkour so the parkour and running sections that they were showing like they actually know how to do this so these developers have a pedigree as well valour mortis is is one that i think too many people are sleeping on this month they actually not only did they move the game but they lowered the price of the game for people like what kind of studio does that man they made an announcement and said listen we know there's so many incredible games coming out in October so we're going to lower the price of our game to $40 so that more people can experience our game. This is the kind of developers and the type of studio that as gamers we should be supporting and on top of that the game's fantastic. So now with like you the amount of time you put into the demo because I haven't played the demo yet but I watched a lot of the gameplay and the footage and stuff like that that that we've all seen. My just from watching take is what it looks like it's going to be super cool or just soon. super meh it's like after playing the demo you feel it's super cool yeah what would you

create the combat with like if you have another like first person kind of game like this it's dark it's dark it's like so as it's the combat all over it just feels good dodging like you have to time your dodges like you know they didn't show it in the demo but absolutely like guy the guy swings at you you have to time your dodge uh it's got the unblockable attacks because you can parry but some attacks are unblockable so you have to dodge those you have to recognize the types of attacks that are coming at you. You know, some characters you can only damage, like not only damage, but like you need to parry and do a perfect parry so that you can counterattack, like so you can get a

pass going. Like this is fully fleshed, like fleshed out combat. You have ranged weapons that you can cycle through. You get abilities a la BioShok where you can spray flames and burn them and stuff like that. The enemies are smart. I was playing through one level where there was a guy up on like a little tower and he was just sniping me and I had to figure out like. like how do I get to that guy while dealing with these three guys who are chasing me,

you have your weird random like big Hulk and dudes like that come out and they're all just twisted up and got like limbs hanging out of them and stuff like that. Like this is a good game, people. This is a very good game and this people, a lot more people need to know about this. So I don't know if the demo is still available. Yeah. If the demo is still available, check that out because I think that will absolutely sell you on this. I'll say this, like so much so that we haven't fully decided on this because we're,

we're going to look at Belmont's curse, but we had been very excited for Belmont's curse. But I am, I'm kind of like really hesitating because I think that I would actually like Valer Mortis a lot more than Belmont's curse at this point. Like I'm, I'm really having a hard time trying to decide which one like we should play on this podcast. Two big names. What? You're going to last minute pivot on a game again. I know.

I know. I know. We've never done that before. Josh, I don't want to play this. I mean, we'll get to Belmont's curse here in a second. People can look. I'm just trying to communicate that Valor Mortis is this good, people. Like, it really is this good of a game.

And I think too many people are sleeping on it. They're saying double deep dive again. Maybe. I mean, don't threaten it with a good time. We can make Ace play Belmont's curse since he's the Metronvania guy. I am the Metroidvania guy, so that is only fair, I guess. Apparently, the Ace every game is of Metroidvania now, too, by the Ace, you love Soulslikes.

What is, I mean, and I know you love Indies. So I'm assuming for you Valor Mortis is like up there for you. Oh, yeah. Valemortis is absolutely up there for me. Also, it's something brand new. I have never seen a first person Soulslike. That's a new concept. Yeah.

If there is one, it's not super well known or super well marketed and people don't talk about it. I'm sure they'll let us know. I'm sure there's some out there and they'll make sure to let us know. Actually, guys, the first person, soul's like the release first actually came out in 2019. How did you guys not know that? What are you all? Come on. The demo was also no longer available, which I don't get that.

Like, are you trying to sell your game? Leave the demo up. It's too close to release. It's your close release. They've already dropped the price. They're already scared that everyone's going to ignore them for everything else in October. Yeah.

You know how to combat that? Make a good game. Well, Valormortis is good. Valemortis releasing October, October 13th, PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X and S and PC once again. So check that out people. Wishlisted if nothing else. Let, you know, let's try to get them some, some hype here.

I know this game is beloved by a lot of people, but it is Warhammer 40K bolt gun two. This is the Doom-like Warhammer pixelated Doom game. I mean, it looks like a ton of fun. Everybody that's played Bolt Gun has spoken.

highly of it. We just know nothing about this game, honestly. But if anybody in chat has played bolt gun and wants to sing its praises, let us know. We shall parrot it. Yeah. Bangor soundtrack in the trailer. We don't have a trailer for this one for you, people. Banger soundtrack looks like old school doom in the Warhammer universe. I know all the Warhammer nerds out there rejoicing because, hey, they all want more games. This is a first person boomer shooter. Looks really well done. That's just all we really know about it in all on. It's a Warhammer game. You know it's going to be good.

Like, come on. The last several Warhammer games haven't been bad. Yeah. I mean, and it looks like, I mean, crisp as crisp as you could say for what the graphics are, you know, and cruising around. It's like it looks like the gameplay is actually going to be pretty good for what it is. Yeah, that's fair. All right. So there you go, Bolt Gun 2.

That comes out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S and PC. Once again, people, and that releases October 14th. All right. going to do Belmont's curse. Now we just talked about this. This is a really good looking Metroidvania that when we saw the trailer, we all got very hyped for it. It's releasing right in the middle of October. So here's the problem. There's a lot of games that are releasing right around this time frame. I played the demo for this. I'll talk about it here after we take a look at this trailer that we have for this game. Guys, Enchrouded's up there with like Valheim and some of these other, like really, really good survival crafting games, people. If you have not looked into Enchrouted, you are missing out. I mean, when we talk about like Ace, you and I, we'd love playing these games together.

We've played abiotic factor. We have played, you know, like I said, I've referenced Valheim, you know, grounded. You know, take your pick. But in shrouded absolutely belongs in that exact same conversation. Are you going again, Ryan? Ryan. This can't be as bad as Ryan was thinking. All, all day today, like, yesterday, Ryan was kind of like, guys, I'm a little

worried, man. I'm a little worried, man. This is a lot more on here. That's a lot more. It must taste pretty good. Yeah, it probably does taste pretty good. Oh, no. It just gets it.

Anyway, Trouton comes out October 15th. So on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, play this game, especially if you were a fan of survival crafting games. It's really good combat as different classes, constant upgrades, all the building and crafting that you could want out of a game like this. Incredible exploration. Now Ryan's like, okay, I may have, maybe I shouldn't have done the second one. It hurts to breathe.

Oh, gosh. What was this one? This is the mushroom one, right? Yeah, this is the mushroom. This is a co-op shooter PVE mushroom game. This game's weird, man. It almost feels like a first person risk of rain in a way. It kind of does.

I see that. Just like look wise, at least. I feel like I didn't even realize. this was coming out this month until we pulled it up because we talked about this ages ago. It is a chaotic multiplayer PV shooter. Poor Ryan. That was a little more than the last one. Oh, Ryan.

Oh, he's chugging the water now. I don't need the milk. I'm not going to do the milk. I was going to say, I was just about to touch the milk because you have not touched the milk yet, man. So that's impressive. The best way I can describe Mycopunk is I legit, after watching this trailer, this looks like a perfect mashup of deep rock galactic meets borderlands and i know that that's fair i could see that i can actually see that yeah uh you've got the borderlands influence with some of the cell

shading and stuff like that deep rock galactic because you're going on mission based like deep rock it's yeah yeah yeah that's a fair comparison yeah i i'm actually really interested in this game man like i with all the other games i'm not sure that uh you know that i'll wind up picking this one up but there's something really kind of cool looking about mycopunk um you know so i don't know man 15 bucks too so that helps deep rock galactic borderlands co-op with your friends mission structure like yeah this is this is going to be a good time on this one so you're always looking for your next deep rock galactic style game it's sitting on the tongue boys i was going to say how is it setting in more uh a little bit it's it's it's just kind of all on my tongue how's the pain level like like if you had to rate one

Yeah. All right. Final Fantasy Resonance. I know a lot of people were looking forward to this one. This is your 2D kind of pixel. throwback to the old Final Fantasy's. I know there's a lot of people that are looking forward to this one. I actually think this game looks pretty fantastic.

This looks phenomenal. Yeah, I love this. Yeah. This looks so good. Like, I mean, it's old school Final Fantasy made modern in this beautiful two and a half D pixel kind of art style. I really like these. If I was going to pick up this type of game, Ace has me curious about Fortune's Weave, honestly. But Final Fantasy Residence, I know a lot of people are really looking forward to.

Um, that comes out October 22nd, uh, for all the platforms and switch to and switch. Um, so there you go. We finally added to there. There we go. All right. Hey, a game the switch two can run. Yeah. Right. Um, all right. So this one's massive. I'll start this off by saying we're not call of duty bros, but you can't deny a new call of duty release. Call of duty modern warfare four is coming out. Call of duty bros rejoice. I'm not going to lie. This game looks pretty good. Are we back? It looks pretty good, man.

I look at Ace. You hate shooters. I don't see any difference in this in the last one. Well, that's because you're not a Call of Duty bro, Ace. You know, they took away Omni movement, which is a huge.

No, I mean, I do like them occasionally. Like, you know me. I like sweaty shooters. This is true. You like a sweaty,

like pinpoint accurate shooter. Yeah, just frag-fess. Give me my KD ratio and all that stuff. Yeah. That's fair. The campaign looks good to. from around the corner.

Beautiful looking game. I mean, honestly, this is one where it's like they're just up in the lighting and the graphics on these, especially for the pace of gameplay. The two big things that I have heard, because again, we're not huge Call of Duty guys is they are. They did take away Omni movement, which a lot of people were complaining about. And I think I heard rumor that there's no skill-based matchmaking. I've heard there was none of that either.

Oh, really? Yeah. So these are two features that people really wanted in Call of Duty. so they went fine, here you go. There will also be no like outlandish skins or things that'll take you out of the game. Yeah, no Nicki Minaj running around shooting you. No, Nicky Munnage, no Beavis and Butthead, no. The worst was the skins on the guns.

Like, does bright rainbow with like unicorns? Yeah, but you don't really see those that much, do you? Versus like actually seeing King Kong and Godzilla. You did in war zone. Yeah. So I'll be honest. I think Call of Duty, what Modern Warfare for looks pretty fantastic. Will I pick it up? Probably not because this next game that we're going to talk about is everything this month, apart from the Locked in a laser.

But happy for everybody that gets really excited about the Call of Duty franchise. You're getting a new one. I personally think Modern Warfare is the better part of this franchise for the ones that I have played. And it just looks incredible. And so, again, it's coming out on everything, including the Switch 2, but not the Switch. because apparently the switch can't run call of duty anymore so all right and then what's sure to be game of the year people because i drafted this in our game of the year draft and i'll be honest listen watch this trailer people there is a 20 minute trailer that will absolutely blow your mind if you're willing to just sit and watch 20 minutes of this gameplay because i was just ace you and i both watched the full 20 minute we watch the full showcase pretty much You and I literally both went, oh my gosh, this might be game of the year. And I don't know that I like the hype level just shot through the absolute roof.

So let's take a look at this trail. I've paired this way back and this is a different fight. But just so people can get an idea of what this game is. All right. So here we go. Amusha like samurai doom. I think Phantom Blade Zero is samurai doom. It looks so good.

It looks so freaking fun. I cannot wait for this game. These games are made for. for me. And Ace, I know they're made for you. And Ryan, I know a good trailer gets you really excited. Oh, I, this wasn't even the coolest boss fight, people. Like, no, not one. The one that they showcased in the 20 minute video, because we're not going to sit here and make people watch a 20 minute trailer. So, but like I said, if you think that looked good, go look up Phantom Blade Zero trailer from, I think it was the state, was it the state of play or some showcase. It was a state of play Phantom Blade Zero showcase or something like that. Yeah. unbelievably good people like i like i'm gonna we said this before i think this looks like it's going to blow black myth wukong out of the water and we just got black myth wukong zangui or whatever it was

yeah and we watched these two trailers side by side and i was like dude i i think i still lean phantom blade zero on this one like i'm so mad you got that yeah animations i'm annoyed i let him have it animations in this game are over the top dude i mean the boss fights are unlike any that we've seen before, there is your exploration and just combat and traversal and stuff like that. But this,

Galactic Racer and Phantom Blade Zero are the two games in October that are just like, I need these, put them in my veins, give them to me. I could not be more excited about these two.

We won't be pivoting off Phantom Blade Zero. No. No. Oh! Chat's saying Donnie Yen is the motion capture for it. Yeah. Which is sick. I didn't know that.

Dude, he's amazing. That's sick. They have developed this game as much as you can possibly develop. I mean, everything in this looks incredible. Fiski Plus weapons and styles. Chats is asking, do you think it'll be on, what is, Animusha? Onimusha? It could. That's tough. I mean, Ami Musha's combat. You just, you guys, Ace, you finish it, Josh. You just came off finishing the game a few days ago, right?

Yeah, I did, yeah. That's tough. I think they're different styles of games, to be honest. Onomusha is very, like, like, paste and intentional, whereas Fandablade Zero to me looks faster-paced and a little bit more flashy. I'm not going to call it a button masher because I don't think it is, but I do think it's going to be, like, I think it's going to be a lot more like Blackmith Wukong, where it's just a much faster pace of combat in its styling.

You could still call it like, hey, it's. is this Souls like combat, but I think just the pacing's going to feel different enough that it's going to feel like its own game at that point. It's almost a hack and slash, but not quite. Yeah. I don't, I mean, I hope so. Like, because that would be amazing,

because Onomush is fantastic, people. And if we get that out of Phantom Blade Zero, then gamers are, I mean, I'm over the moon at that point. Like, like, truly. You will have no complaints to me about, like, another samurai game for like a year if this one's great too. Yeah, I mean, it's, dude, like I said, people, go watch these trailers. They are a spectacle unlike many others out there.

And I know, like I said, a 20-minute trailer seems daunting, but they really do flesh out what the game is, and they showcase a lot, a lot of the variety of the gameplay. And like I said, one of the coolest boss fights I think I've seen in a really long time. Which always gives you good feeling about the game is when they're willing to show you that much. Oh, you really dive into it. Like, you have good feelings that it's going to turn out the way you think. Yep, absolutely. So there you go, people. There's your October games.

What a month. Real quick, there are a couple other releases. There's Kingdom Hearts Collection 1 through 3 because they're trying to get people ready for Kingdom Hearts 4. The Wolf Among Us remastered, which we have talked about and looks amazing, is coming out on October 29th. But that is October. What are your two most hyped games, guys? Ryan, I'm going to toss it to you first. Obviously, Galactic Racer is very, very. very big on there. I'm really stoked for

Valor Mordis, but I think Phantom Blade Zero is top tier there for me. Those two are the biggest ones. I really want a good horror game to play through during October, so I'm going to say Hellraiser's one, for sure, which is hard because I really

want to pick Valorators and I really want to pick Castlevania, but then I absolutely have to pick Phantom Blade Zero. Dude, if you want a horror game, just go play under Lilies. Andrew Lewis is not horrible. Bam! It's fired!

Bam! Got them! Got him! Got him! I'm with Ryan. Galactic Racer and Phantom Blade Zero for me are the two top games this month, but don't sleep on Valor Mortis, people. That game looks really, really good. Belmont's curse, that's no shade to Belmont's curse.

You know, it's just... All Metroidvanias are the same, man. You know, once you've played... Oh, no. We looked at that comment. We didn't really get to talk about. But it does evolve. It does look like...

it gets pretty complex and interesting. All right. I'm just trolling ace. The trailer for Belmont's curse is incredible. And honestly, I will say the demo starts you off at the very beginning of the game with nothing. Like no powers,

no anything. So I don't think the demo really did it much justice. Bad demo design, by the way. We're about to shut the show down. You don't have to do this, by the way, because we're out of here. I'm doing it. I'm doing it.
