Hello, fellow gamers, and welcome to the video gamers podcast.
Hades 2 releases this week.
We get more BlackOps 7 news.
Arc Raiders is having one more stress test before its release.
And to the surprise of literally nobody.
epic games ends up banning thousands of people when it introduced proximity chat in fortnight
all that plus the release of silent hill f and dying light the beast and a leaked release date
for elder scroll six it's a packed week for news but first some introductions are in order i am your
host josh and joining me he's still recovering from the crushing
brutal, devastating,
ego-killing
manhood revoking loss
he suffered in video game
jeopardy. It's
Ryan. What is
Cap?
I have
no shame, no shame
at all. I left it all
in the line. That's what I did.
What I did know, what I did was
nothing. What I did was I gave you
the secret on how to get in once I figured it out.
And then it all went downhill because I was in the lead.
I had a lead.
You say that, but your secret like backfired on you because the reason part of the reason
you lost is you busted too early and didn't know the answers, Ryan's.
Can't win if you don't play.
Oh, man.
And joining us, his new standard for gaming excellence is whether a game warrants a new tattoo.
It's a.
Those are pretty high standards.
I got to say.
You got to show it, Ace.
You got to show it for the people that are watching.
If you're not watching, you should be because we got video now.
This is the shark deity, fish ditty?
This is the fish ditty from Abysis.
Abysis.
Which was a reminder.
If you haven't played abysus, yeah, very, very good game.
We covered it.
We did a deep dive on it.
But Ace loved it so much that he got the fish ditty tattoo.
I'm impressed ace I like the game a lot but I would never have gotten a tattoo about
Abyssus ever I wouldn't even get a middle year solid tattoo I don't think like how many video
game tattoos do you have ace okay let's go through them real quick so I've got the abyssus fish
I have Luna Snow from Marvel I know you have Luna that's the other that's your other most recent
one I have his right arm interesting I have a combination of watchdogs and Assassin's Creed right
Okay, watchdogs, Assassin's Creed.
Birona plant.
Okay, Mario.
Pokemon.
This is a firearm tattoo.
Okay.
We've got Resonant Evil on the inside here.
Oh, umbrella.
Yeah.
Dude.
This man loves his video games.
This guy likes video games quite a bit.
Yeah.
And this is Kingdom Hearts.
Oh.
I was going to say, I knew you had a Kingdom Hearts tattoo.
But yeah, I think I like video games, guys.
You know what?
Good on you, Ace.
Good on you, man.
And, you know, we always say, man, we're lifelong gamers, people.
We've been gaming our whole lives.
And if that ain't proof right there that ACE is all inked up with all his favorite games, man, then I don't know what it is.
Oh, I almost forgot.
I've got Joel's watch from The Last of Us.
Oh, you do.
I remember that too.
Yeah, that one's not as obvious, but I do have that one.
I know what that means now, too.
Yeah, you do.
You do know what that means.
No.
Before that was just Madman speak.
At the mall, that wasn't DLC.
Yes, at the mall that wasn't DLC.
I'd like that Ryan finally was like, okay, it's DLC, even though he was like, no, I still, I still do not understand how I didn't know.
I do not ever remember buying or doing any DLC, so I don't know if it's like, I don't know, well, I don't know if like maybe I, I, I bought the remake and then I replayed it all and then I just forgot or I don't know, I don't know, but I did not.
You had me questioning like my reality for a little bit there too, because you were so, yeah, you were so convinced, man.
Oh, man.
All right.
Well, listen, guys, we've got a ton of news to talk about today.
You know, there's a lot of good stuff to cover, man.
Before we get into that, though, Ryan, pretty sure you said you got another review for us.
I do.
Hopefully I do a little better with this one than the last one.
But this one's from Bell 93B, and it's titled Fantastic.
Started listening to you guys a couple days ago.
I normally do not listen to podcasts, but y'all changed my mind.
I tried a couple other ones, but that only, I can see you guys in my peripherals right now.
It's messing me up.
That only lasted five to ten minutes before I changed.
Then I found you guys.
I relate to y'all's mindset on gaming, and it is to be fun and enjoyable against toxicity and cheaters.
Y'all now have a new forever listener.
All right, what a review.
okay I number one awesome review number two I'm putting that to the test comment on this episode
if you're still listening forever listener yeah comment let us know yeah yeah comment on
youtube Spotify we got we got it all now we're like on everything yeah we just want we just want
proof that you're still listening yeah you know put your put your comment where you're where
your review was but also thank you for the awesome risk yeah I like we're just throwing people
We're like, we want proof.
Oh, yeah, bro.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
So, listen, if you are a listener, if you have been listening for even a short period of time and you have not left us a review yet, please take a second to rate us five stars on Spotify.
If you're on Apple, you can rate us five stars and leave a written review.
Good chance we're going to read that on the show at some point as well.
Guys, you know, Ryan's been on vacation for a while.
You know, I know we've all kind of been busy with life, although I think things are settling down.
a little bit for us now but like what have you guys been playing man i just kind of want to start
there because i will say that due to overwhelming peer pressure from people and some comments
and even a review that somebody left i saw i have started playing colt of the lamb i picked it up
i started playing it i will like i will say this i think it's a very well done game like i
quite enjoy jumping in there i know the big concern for a lot of
of people was will he like the the base management portion of it it's okay i don't love it but the game
as a whole is is fun enough that like that part does not bother me necessarily i did make the comment
the other day that apparently i'm just really bad guys like i am so bad at trying to keep everybody
happy and doing like base management stuff okay this makes sense yeah it all right it all makes
I quit the altars because I was like I hate you people like everybody's mad like
and in Colt of the Lamb it started going south I'm like there's poop everywhere I'm out of
wood I can't build beds for people they're starting to revolt and I'm like okay well listen I can
keep you from revolting if I can just build this thing that will make you happy oh but I don't
have enough wood to build the thing oh to get more wood I need to build a wood mine oh but guess what
you need to build the wood mine guys you need a bunch of wood guess what I
don't have you know and so and then it's all just falling apart and I'm just like yeah I hate this man
so did you do you play a lot of that style like when they were coming out like a lot of those
style games like grown up like base management no no RTS games or anything doesn't sound like it
if you give if you give me a survival crafting game I can keep things rolling man I can keep
the mats we need I can keep I don't know what it is man but anyway through sheer will I
turned everything around my my cultists love me again i have wood for the base you know and all that so
that's what i've been playing lately i have been playing a little bit of dying light still i put a few
hours in the other night on that i'm probably close to 10 hours in on dying light as well um and that's
about it man i'm i'm kind of saving all my my gamer hype for battlefield six gosh oh gosh
that's dude that's me like i literally i have no
interest in anything other than Battlefield 6 right now.
Like, I can't, it's just like, we are a gaming podcast.
I know, I understand that, and that's a problem.
And that's, that's, that's the issue is that I was so blown away by the beta and
how much fun we had and we streamed it.
Um, if you don't know, we stream on Twitch and stuff like that.
Check out some of our videos.
We've been a little lax and by we, I mean me, uh, recently, but we're going to get
right back to it, especially once battlefield launches.
but man I just I cannot wait for that game me personally I've been playing a lot of silk song
trying to at least struggling through through some silk song but we're going to get into
that when we deep dive but other than that not too much I was on vacation I was out of town
just kind of enjoying the subways of New York City New York City and yeah yeah not too much
for me but I'm excited I can't wait for Battlefield I and you're in your
totally diving into dying
like really hardcore
right yes yes I finished
I finished the prologue right right
okay here's the deal
I've I've booted it up I'm not even kidding
three times and I've come up to
the main menu and then something
happens and I walk away
to do something in the house or to take care
of the kids with something and then I come back like
four hours later and I'm like oh crap I was going to play
this game and then you know that's
life with the family and kids in a house
and you just are like dang it well there goes
on my game time so uh but yeah no that's i am i am i know i've been hijacked and i know i have to
play and i'm actually i am excited to play it and check it out so i will i will definitely grind
out some hours this next week or two until uh until battlefield i'm kind of like in the same
boat as both you right now where i'm like having this game paralysis while i wait for battlefield
six yeah yeah which means i just end up playing a lot of or a little bit of a lot of games yeah like
I'm still playing through some silk song.
I started a modded play-through of Hollow Night with some friends,
so we're playing that like with seamless co-op, which is fun.
I'm still on Marvel Rivals.
Yeah, I know.
And you can tell them my voice.
You know what, Ace,
there's no shame in that, buddy.
You don't have to feel shameful just because you still like a dying game that nobody's playing.
Pervert.
Pervert.
Oh, no, no, no.
Oh, no.
Oh, oh, okay.
Wait a minute.
No, no, no, no, no.
No, no, no, no, yeah, yeah, yeah, I have more games.
I just remembered.
No, no, no, no, no.
We'll get back to that in a second, Ace.
Okay.
All right, look, everybody, people have been listening for a while, no, I'm back in
Overwatch.
I'm playing with my kids, right?
You know what game?
Have we ever played a round of Overwatch together, Ace?
Maybe one, right?
You got me in the Overwatch, too, for like.
I know, but you don't play with me very often.
So it's like, I feel like we've played, like, maybe two games of Overwatch
together.
We play, like, two game nights worth of Overwatch, of Overwatch,
too. And I was the anchor.
And that's fine. Like, okay, that's, we're used to that.
Ace, it's fine. Oh. Oh. Okay.
Let's throw shame before you throw the whole.
I just, look, you know how we, we, you know, like, as, as, as, as, as, as, as, as, as,
as, as, as, as, we're going on, we're figuring out more and more of Ace's bad habits here.
Ace confesses the other day. They he bought not one, not two, but every.
single persona
five royale skin in the
in the Overwatch persona
crossover now
my daughter plays Overwatch
almost every single day okay
like my other daughter will hop in with her
almost you know almost every
day as well like and they
each like she got one skin and that was
it and she plays this game daily
A's who has not played
Overwatch 2 in
months bought every
skin for this game that he doesn't
play you don't play
Overwatch 2Ace
why would you buy the skins
in the game that you're not
playing? Because when I do
come back to Overwatch 2
now I have limited edition
persona 5 skins
it's an investment Josh
what do you not understand old man
it's an investment
I
I
Ace this one made me laugh so hard
that one made and I was like we are bringing
this up and he's like no no don't share
my terrible financial decisions with the world and I'm like oh we are don't worry
oh man when are you going to play overwatch two ace I don't know what I get bored of rivals
he's not he is not which is never I know he's not but he'll have those skins
brother but I will have them just just sitting there just waiting and their emotes
oh I love it so much all right ace other other than financial crisis simulator
You know, that's about it
Except for a little bit of Dead by Daylight
And some indie demos
But you know, whatever
All right, that's good, that's good
I still, guys, I
Look, I still need to try
The Mr. Sleepy Man demo
Which I have not tried.
Mr. Sleepy Man.
And then what was the other one
Where I was like, I'm going to play this demo?
Constance.
Constance, that was the other one.
Thank you.
Oh, yeah, I want to check that one out.
I need to try those two.
I need to try those too. Those are still on my
I must play these demos list.
All right, guys, my goodness.

We go where the chat takes us, man.
We do.
We do say, we're trying.
We just hang out.
We're just gamer, you know, gamer guys talking video games.
And sometimes you just don't really talk about anything important for 42 minutes.
I mean, we've got all these news stories we've got to talk about now.
We'll get there.
All right, let's get there.
All right, bam, bam, bam.
Here we go.

That's going to be so hard for me to find an ad place.
I'm going to be like scrolling through like, gosh, darn it.
Where the frick is it?
Oh, man.
Oh, my gosh.
Anyways, we have news today, right?
Yeah, we do.
Okay, guys, welcome to this week in gaming episode.
Oh, my gosh, gaming news.
As an addendum, this is the DLC to the 40 minute episode that we've had going on already.
All right.
All right, for real, guys, Hades 2.
Are any of you picking up Hades 2?
I wasn't initially, but a lot of people have come to Hades 2 defense recently.
And even DM to me personally, it was like, dude, you're judging Hades 2 too harshly.
Everything I've played so far in the early access has been super cool, super awesome.
You need to check it out.
And I'm like, okay, I need to pick up Hades 2.
I mean, I already was, already was going to because this is the next big indie release of this year.
Like, this is huge.
despite how we feel about it personally, whatever,
this is a huge release.
Well, I will say this.
I'm actually excited for Hades 2.
Okay, you might as I will, you know,
I know I talk about my height meter a lot of times
and some people are like,
oh boy, here's Josh,
the height meter for Hades 2 is actually pretty low,
but I am actually excited to pick it up.
I avoided the early access for this for a reason
because I wanted to play the full release.
The full release is here.
I don't have anything that I have to play.
You know what I mean?
So this is like the perfect filler game for me.
So I will 100% be picking up Hades 2 this weekend when it releases.
I am looking forward to jumping into that.
I'm in the mood for it.
I'm curious to see if, you know, which who's right?
Is it like not as good and it's okay?
Or is it like, no, man, this is actually like an evolution to the game.
And it's going to be awesome.
So what about you, Ryan?
Yeah.
I mean, I still, I never, I know I said, I know I said I was going to play Hades one.
And I said, oh, you can play it on Switch.
just get it tonight and uh that may or may not have happened uh so i haven't played the first one but
this does look super sweet and and like you said josh you know sometimes not looking at everything
and not uh getting into that kind of hype mode and all building up building up building up
that makes the game that much more and that much more exciting and that much more enjoyable when
you just get to kind of truly just experience the full game at full release at launch you know
and just have a good time with it.
So, yeah, I'm excited.
I think I will get it.
I do need to check it out because then this will give me excuse.
Like, I don't have to play the first Hades.
Now I'm going to just play Hades too and say, yeah, this is great.
I love this franchise.
So I love this style.
So I think I'm in.
It would be neat to me to have like a noob's perspective.
I would like that perspective.
Yeah, I would actually like that too, just to kind of go like,
okay, I, an ace and I will naturally compare it to Hades 1.
Exactly.
You can go, okay, well, it's better or worse.
I don't really see it being better, to be honest, but maybe.
It's a high bar.
But if I go, hey, this is worse, then Ryan can be like, no way, dude, this game's
freaking awesome.
Like, it's, you know, and then that's a neat, that's a good perspective.
Then I'm like, dang it, now I've got to play Hades 1.
I know.
Yeah, to see, like, why is that one better?
Yeah.
Dying Light, the Beast, I know a lot of people in our community, especially Disritory,
shout out to Disretory, has been just.
cannot wait for dying light the beast we've been hearing good things about this um you know the review
scores are supporting that it's at a 90% on steam out of 8800 reviews definitely seems to be an
enjoyable game as i have been playing dying light and ryan has not i am now curious to see like
okay well this is this game's like 10 years later like you know of development and and and
technology and stuff so like there's a part of me that really wants to see the advancements that they've made
with Dying Light the Beast.
I don't know that I'll get to that anytime soon, if ever.
But I am at least intrigued by that one.
And I'm very glad to see it doing well.
And the people that are playing it that we know are quite enjoying it, which is cool.
The clips I've seen have been pretty killer, too, I will say.
It's impressive.
Yep.
We had Silent Hill F release as well.
So that came out.
A game that none of us were really interested in just didn't really grab us.
It kind of looked a little weird.
They started talking about Souls like combat
And we just kind of went,
bro, what are you doing with the Silent Hill franchise at this point?
Reviews seem to be pretty good for Silent Hill F.
From what I have seen, it is basically like,
yo, this game is great.
The combat kind of brings it down of all things.
So like the thing that they were trying to make better,
it sounds like it's actually detracting from the game.
So there's that.
People are saying best from you guys in Silent Hill F.
People are saying this is the best one of the franchise.
That's crazy talk, dude.
crazy talk
Silent Hill
1 and 2
and let's just
I'll say
Silent Hill 2
is the best
in the franchise
like
I need to play
to tell me
that Silent Hill F is
the best
I feel like is
that is
that was one of the
reviews I saw
someone said
this is the best
in the franchise
but you know what
Ace
there's going to be
people that like
yeah
Silk songs
not like the best
game of the year
you know
like those
there's
there's going to be
people that are like
you know
no silk song's not
perfect
I'm sure those people exist
So you're always going to get people that are like
This is the best Silent Hill I've ever played
It's like cool, I'm glad you think that man
There's also people that rated Silk Song
Or not Silk Song Silent F 10 out of 10
So that's what's crazy to me
Yeah
Has any Silent Hill ever gotten a 10 out of 10?
None of us have interest in Silent Hill F right?
Not really I don't know
I hope it's good
I mean it seems to be good
It's just not I don't know
It's not a game that is just me right now. If someone in our community picks it up and they have a lot of good things to say about it, then I might pick it up. But otherwise like, it's a hard. It's a hard thing. There are over 1,100 gamers are on our Discord server. And now not every single one of those. We have a lot of lurkers. We get it. But like, nobody has been like I'm so amped to play Silent Hill F. You're not wrong. And we have a very wide range of like gaming takes and tastes and things like that too. We have everything in there. So you have like Nintendo fans. You have like, you know, the Xbox.
the ColoDU guys. Emulator fans.
Term base. There's
everything and you can usually get a gauge
of like what our Discord's like super
hyped about and
and see what's coming up.
And this one like just nobody's
been talking about it. You know, it's
yeah, that's a good point, Josh.
That is a good point. All right.
Guys, I don't.
I mean, I joked about this in the
intro, but like, you know,
you turn on Epic Games released
the new Fortnite DeLulu
proximity chat mode
in Fortnite and you know
I'll get you Josh
Josh I'm going to get you
I'm going to get you Josh
come here little boy
come here John
I'm going to get you
like what did you
think was going to happen here people
like exactly what happened
exactly what happened
and what exactly what happened
guys
people took advantage of the fact
there was proximity chat
and started saying things they shouldn't end as well as
yeah threatening children with death
come here you squeaker
I'm gonna get you kill you
guys
okay number one the internet and gamers
you know you know without a doubt
there are certain things that gamers are going to do
you know if you give them a way to draw something
guess what the first thing you're going to draw is
yeah yeah everybody knows
Everyone knows.
Because we all know, right?
If you give them proximity chat and the ability to talk to each other,
call a duty lobbies, I'm looking at you.
Yep, yep, yep, yep.
You were going to rust, you know, looking at you.
You're going to get the absolute worst of humanity.
Yeah.
Like, how is this a surprise to anybody?
It shouldn't be.
So what do they do, right?
Because now we, you know, we have the technology to monitor voice chat, right?
So instantly, this voice chat's all getting monitored and just thousands of people get banned in day one of having this, like, proximity chat available.
Like, this isn't a shock to anybody, man.
Like, if you were shocked by this, like, you're the wrong industry, man.
Yeah.
You know, no, I would like it to not be that way.
I don't think gamers should be saying horrible racist things to each other.
They shouldn't, no.
like yes they shouldn't so it's like you know do better gamers but at the same time like
this is not a surprise to anybody that's been playing video games for any amount of time whatsoever
except for like epic games where they're like guys uh this is a go the way we thought
like you think there's not there's no way there's no better way in the world to build up
a better like callous than Xbox or PlayStation gaming in like 2000
2009, like, call it duty in like 2009, 2010.
That was, uh, the, the things that I've been called in my life playing video games online will shock you, uh, might even make some, some, uh, pastors drop dead, you know, like it's, it's, it is some serious stuff. So, yeah, I don't, I don't know what they were expecting. I don't know what they, they were thinking was going to happen. But, you know, this is the internet, baby. It's, it's a wild place to be.
yeah i i will say this like the fact that these people are getting banned is like good you shouldn't
talk like that to people you know and if they have the means to like monitor it and be like yo you are
not supposed to say that to other human beings it's like good i'm glad that technology exists i just
had to laugh at the fact that they sounded surprised by this and then it's also you named it delulu mode
which is brain rot speaking it's like come on man like what are you doing like what did you think this was
gonna be i get it i i will say that i get it for a game like uh like fortnight that is
heavily uh played by youth and small kids and stuff like that and it's like what is it is it teen
rated i believe it's team uh probably yeah probably and so it's of course so naturally it's a bunch
eight year olds um but but like a game like call a duty battlefield any of these games that are mature
rated games you know 17 plus most people are older but there's a lot of younger i don't i don't like
that like regulation the open chat i don't like you don't think that they should i don't think that
they should be monitoring that stuff for a game that's for adults like this is for the for the adults man
let them i don't know dude i'm perfectly fine with the way they were uh monitor marvel rivals chat
because i've been called some nasty stuff you can't but then who decides what's bad because
within china and sorry net ease and in uh china don't don't come after me but like you can't say poo bear or
19, what is it, 1987 or
Tiananmen Square, any of these things
like, who decides what's good and what's
bad? I don't know, but I know
we're getting into something totally different. I know
we're getting to something totally different, but I'm just
like, I don't like, I don't like
people getting in and telling me what I can
can't do, so. I get
right, see, I'm in the middle. I get Ryan's point of view
where it's like, bro, you shouldn't have to regulate this.
Like, if it's in the game, just let people use
it. I get that. And like,
as a parent, if it's like, I don't
want my, just turn on voice chat. As long
I can turn it off.
That's what I do with my son.
That's the easy answer, right?
It's just, hey, turn it off.
That's what I do.
You know, you want this in the game.
It's not your job to police things, you know, but I also kind of get Aces's point
of view where it's like, bro, if people are really just going to be toxic to each other,
like, wouldn't it be nice for there to be repercussions to that as well?
So I don't, I'm not going to pick aside on this because I'm like, I'm neutral on it.
I see both points of view, to be honest.
Boo, what are you?
What is the, what is that country?
It's always new.
Yeah, Sweden.
Boo, Sweden.
Also, we love our Swedish people out there.
Sweden's dope, man.
All right, guys, we got a couple more, and we're running at a time here,
because I don't know, somebody kept talking the whole time.
Yeah, geez.
Elder Scrolls 6.
Now, when Elder Scroll 6 officially gets, like, announced and starts to get revealed,
that ranks up there with one of the largest game franchises releases.
I won't put it on the level of, like, GTA 6, but, dude, Elder Scroll 6 release is
going to be quite easily one of the most anticipated, hyped, like, releases of the year.
We got a well-known leaker.
That's our, that's our, you know, what we call these people, right?
That said, hey, the release window for Elder Scroll 6 is going to be late 2027.
Now, that's not a shock.
Like, honestly, I would be shocked if they said it was coming out in 2026.
And honestly, I could even see it being pushed back to 2028 because it's like they said they have a lot of development to go.
So there's really not a whole lot to talk about.
about this supposed release date of 2027, my question on this is, if you look at Starfield,
to most gamers, Starfield was pretty mid.
Like, it was an okay video game.
It was not the spiritual successor that I wanted from Bethesda.
It was not the advancement that I wanted from Bethesda to see in this game.
Was it fine?
It was fine.
It's not a bad game by any means, but it just wasn't this like, oh my gosh, you guys have
been working on this for a decade now and it's the most mind-blowing thing ever elder scroll six to
me is it is that like you better you better take this series into like 2027 like technology wise
graphics wise overdue like revamp your stupid facial animation thing that bethazza's been using
for the last decade oh my gosh yes no you have to evolve
this franchise you cannot do what you did with Starfield in my opinion like it will be the i'm not going to say
the death of Bethesda because let's be honest elder scroll six is going to sell a gazillion copies no matter
what but i will lose a ton of faith in Bethesda if this is not the most amazing thing that i have
seen in a very long time because when you have a name like elder scroll six and you give me
starfield like you know like i don't know man that just worries me a lot
Do you guys feel the same way?
I don't have a ton.
Ryan's like, no, just give me Skyrim again.
No, I'm going to let Ace go for a second and then I'm going to riff.
Okay, yeah.
I don't have like a ton of opinions on Bethesda in the Eldest Roll series because I haven't played a ton of Skyrim or oblivion or anything like that.
The models have always been super off putting to me.
I was just like, oh, it looks like cheap.
That's like Bethesda's thing.
That's, that's Bethesda, man.
Like, why?
Why is that attractive?
Because they keep using old tech, man.
they don't revamp their agents.
Well, they just have everybody else modded for them.
Yeah, that's the thing I've gotten from Bethesda.
They put out a broken game.
Everyone else fixes it.
And then we all pretend like they put out a masterpiece.
That's what I've picked up so far.
Dang, A's throwing shade right now.
So, okay.
So here's my thoughts.
November 11, 2011 is when Skidh,
Skyrim came out, dude.
Okay, do you know what the date is right now?
It's September 22nd, 2025, man.
Dude, that's like a lifetime.
There's a lot of gamers maybe listening to this show right now
that were not born when the game came out.
Like, that is ridiculous.
Like, no matter what, if you're putting out some new IP, like,
okay, whatever, you have people, this is like the sixth inter-a-
of this kind of part of the franchise like for elder scrolls like a beloved franchise a video
game icon something that that has stood the test of time for decades and and it's it's been
that long between the next release it's ridiculous to me I don't I don't understand I'm so sick
of games taking eight 10 years between releases okay but Ryan you got Starfield
No. No. I didn't want Starfield. I didn't want Starfield. I didn't want Starfield, dude. Give me,
fallout. Give me, give me, give me Elder Scrolls. But you have Starfield D.L.C. as well.
No. No, because I probably wouldn't have remembered it. That's how I, I guess, view DLC, apparently.
But, like, give me Elder Scrolls, give me, uh, uh, fallout. That's, that's what Bethesda is.
If you're going to do something else, if you're going to do Starfield, that's fine.
That's fantastic.
But don't do it at the detriment of your other IPs that are meaningful, that matter,
and that the people who buy your games care about.
Like, that's why they buy these games.
Like, because Bethesda only exists because of that.
Like, those are the big hitters.
Those are what's the, what made them what they are.
And for it to be this long, and then it's like, oh, a projected maybe, who we're not sure,
We're wondering, no, like, oh, that drives me nuts.
It makes, it makes me physically mad.
Like, I'm angry inside, dude.
I'm angry.
What is it going to be?
20 years for our next release.
It's going to be a long time, man.
It's close, 28, and then, oh, no, oh, man, some stuff happened.
Oh, we're going to have to postpone to 29.
And then, dude, I just, I, man, this, this stuff with, with how long these games are
in development for to come out, like, like you said, it was however long for, for,
Starfield. And then look what we got. It was such a mid game, dude.
Let me soothe your, let me soothe your anger, Ryan, because, you know, Bethesda,
they're a studio. They put out a lot of games, you know. And so you got to think that instead
of working on Elder Scroll 6, Ryan, they gave us Fallout 76, man.
You know, didn't that? Didn't that? I mean, isn't that good enough?
This is you soothing? And that, this is you soothing?
Well, then, Ryan, don't forget about the latest, greatest new IP that took them
10 years to make when they gave you
Starfield, which was the greatest
thing that Bethesda's ever done, according
to Todd Howard. I can't
run five minutes. That's got to make you feel better.
That's got it, right?
No! No!
Ryan's not so red right now.
He's like, dang.
I'm mad. I'm mad. I'm mad.
Dude, I'm mad. I remember getting
Skyroom the day it came out. I got it
the day it came out. And then,
you know, usually, you
would get games and then like within a couple years,
get another iteration of that and you can continue on.
Dude, it's 2025.
What the heck, man?
There's no excuse for it to take this long for a video game.
There's no excuse.
There's nothing you can tell me that that justifies this unless they just put resources
and all their stuff into something else.
Like, it's just, it's garbage, man.
I, oh, I don't know how you can take this long on a video game and not be outdated by the time
you actually finish it.
Exactly. Like if they're either, they've either not worked on a thing. And then now they're starting or they've been working on it for so long that they're going to have to redo it all to make it make sense. Yeah. You're not wrong. You're not wrong. Okay. Here's, you guys really want to hear something in comparison. You said Skyrim came out in 2011, Ryan? November 11th, 2011.
Okay. Do you know what games started development in 2011? Oh, boy. Or I'll say early development. Star Citizen.
Okay, so Star Citizen and Eldersroll 6.
Okay.
Do you know which game is actually a technological Marvel and seems like the future of gaming?
Star Citizen.
Yeah.
Do you know what game is probably going to look like an old Bethesda game like Starfield did?
And people are going to be like, it took you 12 years to make this.
Elder Scroll 6.
Bro, that's like, what do you do with Bethesda?
So I'm with you on that, man, but that also goes into why I say this better be the greatest game Bethesda has ever released, dude, like at that point, man.
They better make sure, dude, it's got to have a story. It's got to have good gameplay. They got to fix the graphics and the animations and the overlays.
NPCs have to be better. I don't know how much they'll implement AI into that if they do to an amount that works, but it's really unique. Like, that'll be cool.
So it has to be something substantial to justify this much time.
Like, and even still, like, I don't, I don't accept how long it took.
Oh, man.
All right.
All right now.
I'm so mad.
I'm like going to be for the rest of the day now, dude.
I'm just going to think about how long freaking the next Elder Scrolls is taking the rest of the day.
Dang it.
I'm with you because I prefer, I vastly prefer elder scrolls over Fallout.
Like, I had no shade of fallout, but I love that fantasy setting myself in those worlds and stuff too.
So, all right, real quick, guys, Ark Raiders, which to me is going to be a game that I think is really going to take the world by storm is coming out.
If you're not familiar with it, you should familiarize yourself with it.
This is an extraction shooter, open world squad-based game.
It looks incredible.
It plays incredible.
I got into the closed beta.
This game really is impressing me and other people that have gotten a chance to play it.
They are doing one final stress test.
They're calling it a server slam, which I think sounds cooler.
That's a cooler.
I like that, actually.
October 17th through the 19th, it is open to the public.
So if you want to get a taste of Arc Raiders and see what it's about, you can do that October 17th through the 19th.
I highly encourage it.
I would like for the three of us to try to hop in.
Now, it is a stress test.
So don't expect that it's going to run the best, you know, but it should at least give you a glimpse to what this game is.
And this game looks awesome, people.
all right and then we're going to wrap up with black ops seven news because you know hey our call of duty bros that are out there uh you know we we've always said we're battlefield people but that doesn't mean that we don't have mad respect for call of duty we were talking about this pre show with ryan you know growing up with these things and and you know of course how the lobbies can take away your childhood oh good time good things like that but black ops seven is also getting an open beta uh that is coming up now that runs october
second through the eighth if you
pre-order it the open beta
for everybody is the October
5th through the 8th so you kind of get
a weekend there to play that as well
right before Battlefield 6 releases
so
smart move there
and then they also did mention
that the game is going to release
with 18 maps and
a new game mode
which I think sounds kind of cool too
that skirmish
let me see if like
let me just I'll explain
what this mode is, and you tell me if this sounds
vaguely familiar to you guys, okay?
So skirmish mode, which is a new
mode for Call of Duty, is going to be a
20 V-20 mode
featuring multiple objectives.
In this mode, players can use
like wing suits and grappling hooks,
along with vehicles in what's
described as a large-scale mode.
Hmm.
I've never heard of this
before. That's a really neat, unique
thing to put into Call of Duty all
of a sudden.
Is there any other large scale?
They are terrified of Battlefield 6.
They are so scared of Battlefield.
I love it. I love it.
You know, the high, the tide rises all
boats, whatever you want to iron, sharpen's iron,
whatever cliche phrase you
want to say, I freaking love it.
Because Call of Duty has been so lax
because Battlefield, and like we said,
but here's the deal
is we love Battlefield. We're more Battlefield
guys than we ever were Call of Duty.
But Battlefield has
sucked for a long time and and now we are so back baby and it's freaking them out and they're
pissing their pants and I love it I love it and it's it's amazing because it's going to make
every game better it's going to make them both just just rise up and they're going to have to
battle each other and that's what I love because that that makes the gamers win we win when
that happens I love it yeah absolutely I you know so full
release for Black Op 7 is November 2nd. I also think that's smart that they kind of gave it almost a month
for Battlefield 6 hype to kind of die down. And then, you know, then you can get your Call of Duty crew back in there as well. But I personally don't really have much interest in Black Op 7. But then again, I've never been a Call of Duty guy. It's going to sell a million copies, dude, or millions of copies. I think when Black Op 6 came out, it was the highest selling game in the United States at the time. So I mean, Call of Duty is
always going to just knock it out of the park.
Yeah. So, you know, um, so if you're excited for that, we're excited for you. Um, you know,
there is some news. And again, I actually may try the open beta just because it is right before
Oh yeah. I'll check it out. It's free. Might as well. I'm just curious if it's ever going to feel any
different, man. You know, like I played Blackop Six. I played Cold War. Like is, is it going to feel
like anything different, man? You can have, you can have a roller coaster on each side of your gun now.
Oh. Yeah. So you got double roller coaster skins on your guns and, you know, whatever other other crazy celebrity. Oh, Ace is like what? Ace is already buying it. I see my type in his credit card into there right now.
That's the exact reason they make these things. They also announcing the pre-sale of their premium skins, guys, that you can purchase before the game even releases. Ace, where are you going? We're not done the episode yet.
in person only
a skin pre-sale
oh my gosh
I'm sorry I shouldn't have thrown that out
into the universe because you know right away now
they're going to be like get your exclusive
skin pre-sale now I'm sure it's a pre-order
bonus I'm sure
oh for sure it is yeah absolutely
