Hello, fellow gamers, and welcome to the video gamers podcast.
2025 has seen some truly incredible games from Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 to Expedition 33 to Silk Song, but it ain't over yet, baby.
We're in the home stretch of 2025, and it's time to remember some of the great games we still have yet to come.
On this episode, we're firing up the hype machine because there's plenty of juice left in the tank.
But first, some introductions are in order.
I am your host, Josh, and joining me, all he wants to do is wade through a swamp and drink poison,
but there's just so many games to play.
It's Ryan.
I don't think people understand how hard this is,
is to wait for this remake for so long.
And then I have to break off to go play freaking Silk Song,
which I've also been waiting for so long for.
Yeah, I know.
It's a tough life, man.
Bro, gamer problems.
You know what I'm saying?
People just don't understand.
It's a life of riches.
Rained down upon me.
And joining us, the man who loves Metroidvanias and rats more than anything else,
well, except maybe a DoorDash Bucky's chicken sandwich.
It's ace.
Man, you just got my entire character with like three things.
Do you deny it?
I deny it's called Buckees.
It's called Bojangles, but yes.
Oh, Bojangles.
Sorry, Buckies is the, well, your Buckees makes them.
I don't live in a nice enough area for a Buckees.
Respite, respite, respite, buggies, go jangles, whatever, man.
I'm happy, I'm just happy Aces and choking today.
I'm alive.
Nobody else saw that.
He's alive, man.
He's got, like, color back to him.
No, no, the behind the scenes, the behind the scenes people saw it.
Yeah, they didn't say a thing about it.
They didn't say nothing.
Sometimes you got to just let a man just go, you know, just be like, look, bro.
I mean, I was actively dying in this chair.
So they're just letting me pass for that.
I still have the highlight video from that.
Oh, yeah.
One day, Ace.
We'll put a compilation together for sure.
Wait, where's the two liter, Ace?
You're drinking out of a can?
Times are tough.
Oh, what?
What the heck?
It was a good deal, all right?
Buy two get three free.
12 ounces instead of two liter.
What are we doing?
Oh, man.
Inflation, I'll tell you what.
Welcome in, everybody.
Guys, we have, look,
Okay, we, look, everybody in the world's been playing Silk Song.
The hype level's been there.
Yep.
You know, we, we just been feasting on games.
Poor Ryan can't even find time to play Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater.
What a world.
You know, but, but it's one of those things where, you know, after, after Game of the Year contender, after Game of the Year contender, these massively popular games, we've had some of the best games that we've played in years in 2025.
And it's like, okay, well, we're in the home stretch.
It's mid-September, you know, the end of the year is looming at this point.
You know, don't they, don't game companies and developers usually make a really strong push for holiday season, they call it, you know, when we get all these game announcements and stuff like that.
And they say, hey, coming holiday season, 2025.
And what we wanted to do is kind of just talk about some of these games that are still yet to come.
that maybe have kind of fallen off of people's hype meter, we'll call it,
because we've just been swimming in Silk Song and great releases.
And it's like, you know, hey, there are, we put this list together, dude,
and it amazed me how many games on this list.
I'm still like, oh, yeah, I want to play that.
Oh, yeah, I can't believe that game's coming out.
I forgot.
Wait a minute, this game's coming out three weeks.
Like, what are you talking about?
You know, it's just, it seems so weird that we are in.
like mid-September already
and yet like we still have so many great games
to cover and play together and talk about
so this episode
is going to be the one you want to listen to
because we are going to go through the games
that you may have forgotten about
the games that are releasing the ones that should be
on your radar the ones that we are excited about
and my goodness boys let's just let's just get into it man
because we got a lot to cover
we got a lot to cover in this episode
episode. Now, I want to start off, I look, number one, my ADHD brain loves just covering
like 20 different games guys. Look at all these. I'll never play them, but look at them all. I'll
never play out of these and the ones I do play. I won't play for more than eight hours, but I'm still
really excited. I do want to talk about two games that actually have released already because I think
they got washed out in the Silk Song hype. And both of these games actually look really good to me.
one is called hell is us this is the weird it almost looks like control in a way very
really weird looking kind of creatures this game looks very very well done it has come out
people that we know that have played it have been speaking very highly of it this game does
not hold your hand there's no map there's no waypoints it even gives you a warning at the
start that says hey if you want to navigate this world you better pay attention any interest
at all in hell is us
from either one of you
I have said it before
I am a man who needs
the yellow paint
this
I would not make it very far
in hell as us I'm afraid
I need a map
and I need waypoints
I think I'm with Ace on this one
like show me the way
I will I will dive into any depths
of a story
but like just guide me
a little guidance
like give me the wind
from ghost of Shushima
like where you get
They touched the pad.
You just wandering around in a world gives you, though,
when you don't have waypoints and quest markers and all that stuff to follow.
I don't know.
How do you feel wandering around in Silk Song without a map?
I have a map, Ace.
You just can't read it.
It's just a really big map, and I can't remember where everything's at, you know.
You don't know what your pins are.
Yeah.
I just want to put it out there because there was a lot of hype for this game before it released.
We talked about it.
We said, hey, we think this game looks really neat.
It looks great.
It is released on Supposed.
released on September 4th reviews are very positive it's at 87% right now it's again it's only
been out for a few days we are recording this episode a little early because Ryan's going on vacation
so you know again you know we're recording this on the 7th so that gives you an idea um so
you know hell as us has only been out for three days now at this point so it looks beautiful yeah
it really does it looks like a very well done game it's it looks unique uh it seems to be it seems to be
enjoyable for a lot of people. So just don't forget that one. Another game that honestly,
I forgot about, and I can't believe this game is even out at this point, because I thought this
again, this is just in the future. But Kronos, the new dawn, this is your latest entry into
the survival horror a dead space kind of game. Ace, you said you were interested in this one.
What is it about Kronos that kind of draws your attention? Well, I,
like Dead Space begin with, and I do
like seeing people try to tackle what
Dead Space does with the gore and the separation
of limbs
from enemy, too, to make things easier
on oneself. And also, you collect
cats in this game, which was interesting to me.
Cats or rats?
Cats are, I was going to say, if it was rats, Ace would have
already bought this. If it was rats, yeah.
They'd already have me.
Ryan, I mean, we covered this on a Twig episode.
The dude has the giant spherical
helmet. It looked really well done. The trailer was impressive. The gameplay looks impressive. I have heard
from some of our community members, I have heard that it is a very well done game. The combat in it is a little
lackluster. But again, I mean, if you go to Dead Space, like the combat and Dead Space, while
serviceable wasn't anything to shout about, you were playing this more for the ambiance, the horror
elements, you know. I think, again, this game looks very well done. It is out. Again,
don't want it to completely get lost in the Silk Song, you know, hubbub that was going down.
Kronos, the New Dawn, 86% positive rating on Steam.
So, again, seems to be a very good game for most people.
Yeah.
And that's it.
That's the games that you probably missed in the release window of Silk Song,
but both of those look like very good games.
I am interested in both.
I will never play either one, honestly.
And that's no shade to the games.
It's just, hey, this is Josh.
I know I'll get sidetracked with something else.
that's a backlog thing for sure
I think for me for me
I mean it looks amazing
and it looks really unique and cool
I'm sure I would enjoy my time
but it's a backlog for sure
This is okay
Real real quick segue guys
We've been doing this podcast for a long time
This is one of those things
Everybody's like you know everybody out there like
It's so easy to just talk about video games
You know I have a microphone I can do a podcast
And it's like okay
maybe but bro are you willing to make the sacrifice are you willing to make the sacrifice because
Ryan is Ryan wants nothing more than to play Metal Gear Solid Delta and guess what Ryan cannot play
because of this podcast you know what I mean because it's going to be we're covering Silk Song
and then we're going to be covering maybe Borderlands 4 because that's the next game we're
going to talk about in a second because it's coming out real freaking soon you know and it's but
this is this is the tradeoff right is it's like you know you think you you know and i'm not saying
that we don't love doing this podcast but there is a price to pay when you do a gaming podcast that is
you don't get time to just play some of these games hell is us and chronos the new dawn if i didn't
if we weren't doing this podcast i probably would pick them up at some point man and dive into them
but i know i'm never going to play either one of these because we're just constantly grinding
games and moving on to the next one and talking about the next one kind of thing so it was wild like
i'm like i was pumping through a metal gear solid and i'm like i got to get further i got to get
further because silk song's coming out in a day and i'm like oh here we go and you know so like
and then when i yep when i logged off it was like boom metal gear solid's gone now i have to
just dive into the world of silk song and that's just what you do but i mean i still love it and
And, you know, like you said.
I mean, they're good problems to have.
Yeah.
Oh, for sure.
Like, yeah.
It's, you know, it's a good thing to do.
But it is, you know, you'd always get to play what you want.
We, we sacrifice for you people.
Okay.
It's for you.
And I'm going to sacrifice September 12th for Borderlands 4.
Okay.
This is my question, guys, because look, we have not been kind to Borderlands 4.
Right.
Right.
particularly rightfully so rightfully so we haven't been unkind to it but we've just been kind of
meh on borderlands four but guys the three of us playing borderlands four together that's the thing
sounds pretty good to me if you two said if you two said you were picking it up and you were
going to play it i would pick it up and play it that's like guys we have to play it yeah we're
we're going to be done look that's a week from now okay like i will probably be
done with Silk Song in another
week. So it's like
what's next? What's up next, man?
Because it's to me, it's
borderlands 4. And while I don't have
huge, huge, high expectations
for it, I know without a
shadow of a doubt it will be a blast
dude. Like it will be a ton of fun
with friends to play. Is it going to be
the resurgence of the series? In
my opinion, probably not. But is it going to be
fun with your buddies? Probably.
Yeah. Sometimes you just want to like, I want
to play it. Yeah. Yeah.
exactly so all that to say borderlands four is coming out friday september 12 man that's so much
it's so soon so much so soon my brain my brain's still living in like early august dude like how are we
at mid-september right now yeah you know like oh man i don't know so are we are do you guys
want to play borderlands four if you guys are playing i want to play it i kind of do i don't want to play it by
myself. Especially after
Silk Song. Like Silk Song, like
it's a fantastic single player
experience, but it's like, but I want to go from that.
Let's watch the palette, baby. Let's watch
the palette. Let's go.
Come on. And I got, I'll be
I'll be in New York still, but
my computer could run
a cyberpunk
ultra settings, so I'll be able to run
this.
Nice. Thorvalance 4?
Heck yeah. It's, I mean,
that's not going to be super
Yeah. So we should be good. So it's going to be awesome. We'll get on. We'll go on and play.
All right. Another game, skate. Guys, this game has been in development forever. Ryan, as a skater yourself, you know, you love skating. I have seen a ton of hype about this. Skate looks incredible. We had Hell of it. Shout out to Hell of it.
Yep. Who was posting some early access video about it. It looks fantastic to me. It is relurcing. It is relurcing.
It is releasing an early access, so it's not the full game, but it's also going to be free to play, guys.
Wait, seriously?
So, yeah, isn't the early access of skate?
I didn't know that.
I'm pretty sure it's going to be free to play.
That significantly piques my interest in it.
Yeah, free to play.
Yeah, that significantly gives me more interest in this.
Here's my thing on skate.
And again, this is not slain it to this, but I think I'm just kind of done with the skate genre.
like Tony Hawk's pro skater the remake three and four came out I kind of said guys it was awesome back in the day but I don't know that I have the desire to play a skating game again I think this game looks great or any of you going to pick this game up if it's free I'll at least check it out I mean I'm not a total poser so you know yeah
he ain't no poser uh as as as the skater in the group um I'm kind of
with you Josh like I love I mean I skater die you know like it's it's uh something that will live
with me forever but there's only so much you can do in these games there's only so much advancement
what they've done is amazing like as as a skateboarder as someone who grew up with this
from the 90s until now you you can see how much work they've put into this game but how many
people are going to appreciate it and recognize
it, that's the hard part. I feel
like it's not going to get, it's due.
The traction. It's not going to get
the traction. And that's unfortunate
and, you know,
props to them for what they've put into it, because I
can tell the work they put in.
But people who skate and people
who love skateboarding games,
like if I was
17, I would play this,
get hyped up, and then go out
and skateboard. Like, that's what I would do before,
but I would watch skate videos.
I would play this game to height myself up.
You know, so there's a lot there.
It looks amazing.
I just, man, I just, I don't think that it's going to get the traction that it deserves.
Yeah.
That's kind of my feeling on this too.
And that's no slander to the game because I think it looks incredible.
I just worry that the audience is, is not what it once was for this type of game.
Guys, a game that none of us knew anything about, but all of a sudden, all of us know about it
because it was gifted to us.
And Ryan, you got picked to play this game.
but Dying Light the Beast is coming out September 19th.
I, like I said, before Silkson came out,
I put about five hours in a dying light.
I fully expect to go back to it when Ryan can start playing it.
It seems really well done.
I'll say that already.
And this is back from like,
I think it's 2015 when Dying Light release.
But Dying Light, the Beast looks like it's 10 years into the future.
It looks like a game released in 2025.
I wish I knew a little bit more about this franchise.
We will.
And maybe that will change our hype.
level. I think this game looks fantastic from what I've seen. I just haven't played enough to
get like excited about it. The trailer looks fantastic. I know a ton of people that are very excited
for it. Where are you guys at with Dying Light the Beast? I have still not had time to dive into
dying light because I was sick as a dog with COVID that week that I really wanted to put some
time into it. But I definitely have seen plenty of trailers for Dying Light the Beast because every time
open YouTube. That's that's all it wants to show me. I'm very mid on it right now. I think once I've
put some time to dying light and I understand if I like how that game plays or if I don't like
how that game plays, then I'll know for sure if I'm more interested in The Beast. But for now,
it's very middle, not really on my radar. Yeah. I think after we play Dying Light, this will,
this will determine how excited we get for Dying Light the Beast. I do think it looks like an incredible
double game. There's almost a part of me
that's like, can we just pick
up Dying Light the Beast guys? Instead of playing the original, can we just
play the new one? Because that would be a
fair trade off too, right?
I think they would be, I think they would be okay
with it. That forced Ryan to play
dying late? Listen, listen. At the end of the day, this is our show
and we'll do what we want to do. So
if we
if we decide to just play
that one. We just, okay, not that we
would ever do this, but we all just pick
dying light the beast and then we just do an episode on dying light but we're really talking
about the beast instead we just never specify it i love it we would never we would never do that's right
we've played dying light the beast but if we did do that and you find it okay like in our discord
like just let us know guys i can't believe we waited so long to play dying light the beast
you know this dying light is awesome man like you run around it's parkour with zombies dying light
The Beast is awesome, man.
Oh, God.
Oh, goodness.
We're a bunch of stooges.
All right, I'll tell you what, real quick, just to wrap up September, Silent Hill F,
I have zero interest in this game, dude.
None at all.
From nothing we've seen.
In Silent Hill F.
Dude, look, I love Silent Hill 1 and 2.
Love Silent Hill 1 and 2.
The remake for Silent Hill 2 was apparent.
I didn't get to play.
it, but everybody was touting it.
It's awesome.
Silent Hill F, zero interest.
The whole, like, we're adding souls.
They call it souls like combat.
And I just kind of went like, what do you guys doing, man?
And then they caught some flack for that.
So they tried to explain, well, it's not really souls like combat.
It's just combat.
And I'm just like, I don't know why.
I have zero interest in this game.
I don't really have a game, like a horror game for me to play in October.
So that's kind of what I'm leaning on for possibly.
Well, this is September.
You're going to have one in October, ace.
Don't you worry.
Well, it's at the very end.
well maybe we're going to talk about it right after this break oh wait no no no no you know what
okay so silent hill f if you're excited that's awesome that comes out september 25th sworn is the
other one i want to deep as this one releasing in full access so because it's been in early access
it's releasing in full access this is the multiplayer hades clone
using what mythology it's it's king arthur's exactly yeah yeah so i am actually interested in
this one as well, Ace. I would love to deep dive this one for the indie.
Multiplayer Hades with King Arthur lore. Heck yeah, dude. Sign me up. So Sworn should be on
people's radars. It looks really good. Looks good. All right, we're going to take a quick break,
and then we'll get into October. October's where it's at, people. Oh, boy, October's where
it's at. We'll be right back. Yes. Oh, guys.
guys
October?
Oh my goodness.
My goodness.
What the heck?
Okay.
We continue to eat.
Dude, we're feasting.
It's like the waiter showed back up at the table with like just a whole other plate of food, man.
Like legitimately just said, we're like, this is you and we're like, that's us.
Just drop it right here, man.
September was just a free bread.
Yeah.
We have Ghost of Yote.
Yeah.
We have ghost of Yote October 2nd.
Yeah.
I'm going to have to borrow, Ryan.
I'm going to have to borrow your place.
no no no no no no Josh I'm not buying a PS5 at the end of its lifespan come on you get it's at the end of its lifespan so it's as cheap as it's ever been yes that's thank you ace I've been trying to get him to buy a PlayStation for two years not doing it just do it get him a digital one I'm not buying okay the PS5 is at the end of its lifespan I'm not buying a PS5 now so that I can play Ghost of Yote I'll just borrow Ryans
I know.
But anyway, guys, Ghost of Yote looks fantastic.
This game looks spectacular, dude.
I'm so excited.
I love this franchise.
Ghost of Sushima holds up to this day.
You're giving me everything you've learned from Ghost of Sushima years and years and years ago,
and you're giving me a more modern game with, with, you know, more aspects of combat.
You don't have to be honorable.
You can fight the way you want to fight.
Ghost of Yote absolutely looks fantastic to me.
Did you guys see her chucked those swords into those guys' chests?
Yeah, dude.
Like, I love the fact that you don't have to be an honorable samurai.
Yeah, I want to take fools out, dude.
And I love it.
I love the weapon swap.
Everything about this game, I think looks fantastic, except it's P.S. exclusive.
Come on, PlayStation, what are you doing?
You get it next year.
This is 2025.
I don't have to buy the system.
Don't.
Exclusives.
Come on.
It's a thing in the past.
Guys?
The big one.
It's, yeah.
I mean, okay.
This is, this is the game.
game. We have been waiting for Battlefield 6. This is all I care about for the rest of the year.
I mean, honestly, I'm with you, Ryan. This is all I care about too. All these other games look good, but
dude, we're just going to be playing Battlefield 6. We're going to play in Battlefield 6. Guys,
okay, so after the beta, we got the announcement that they will have a server browser. They will have
custom matches in the portal mode. Our community nights are going to be popping off once again because
we are going 30 people deep. Yes. VGP server fighting it out in Battlefield 6. Oh my gosh. I can't
Our battle would be legendary.
I could not get here soon enough.
Guys, October 10th is a month away.
I know.
It's a month away.
That's no time at all, man.
Time flies, man.
It feels so far.
I know.
It does see so far away and it'll be here so fast.
I just, everybody knows.
I kept saying, dude, I kept saying, like, I just, I waited so long for Silk Song.
And then I just didn't feel excited because all I wanted was Battlefield.
Like, that's, it won me over.
That beta won me over.
so hard that it felt like I was I was 20 again and I was playing battlefield and I was having the time
of my life playing with the boys and that's that's what it was dude and we just we logged on we got
jiggle puff in there we got we got we got you know everyone else see whoever else hopped in with us like
it was just so much fun every night I just laughed giggled had overjoy and and and that's what
gaming is like that's what it's supposed to be and that's what I felt every time
time we played. We just laughed and had a good time. And we, and we played this game. And that's,
that's what you're supposed to do. So I cannot wait until, uh, Battlefield comes out. Dude,
I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm really, we instantly made Ace a believer in
battlefield, man. That was his first experience with Battlefield. And he's like, I had a great
time. I was so excited. Every night we play it, we stream it, I have a great time. Yeah. And you know,
it's not about like your KD or.
any of these things like it is with like, uh, what, yeah, well, with Call of Duty or all of his other
games, regardless of how good you are, there's always a purpose for you on the team.
You can be, uh, a, uh, a century. You can be like a, uh, uh, RPG guy. You can be a medic.
You can be a repair guy. You can just be, you know, uh, general like, you know, utility guy.
Like, there's always something you can do. And that's what makes it so good. So anybody that you
have hop in with you will have a good time.
and that's what made it so amazing.
I am beyond excited for this game.
Oh, man, I'm so stoked.
This is, dude, for the rest of the year, like legitimately,
Battlefield 6 is where it's at for me.
Oh, yeah.
And here's the thing.
I'm ultra competitive.
Even if you lose in Battlefield, you're still having fun, dude.
You're still getting those moments, like, you're getting your butt kicked,
but it's like, okay, I'm still having fun.
Like, we just took out this squad or we did something stupid or, you know,
it's just, I can't wait, man.
I literally can't wait.
it's going to be fantastic so heck yeah man um ace you said you need a scary game for october
little nightmares three anybody yeah this one's gonna be co-op too isn't it it is gonna be co-op
now here's the problem with little nightmares three for me i think it's gonna be great i like the
little nightmares games i don't love them but i like them a lot to me little nightmares three
is just simply overshadowed by reanimal like i'm more excited for reanimal than i am for little
Nightmares 3. I don't know that we're getting Reanimal this year, but, you know, that's not to slander Little Nightmares 3. I'm just more excited for Reanimal. But Little Nightmares 3 releasing October 10th, those are always good times. They're good experiences. They're easy to play. They're memorable. It's a great series. I'm a little bit more on the, give me the extra horrory reanimal side of things. That's fair. Ball X Pit. That's a really cool indie game coming out. I tried the demo. I played it. It's a lot of fun. Try it.
it we'll probably talk about it a little bit more on the indie episode but ball x bit is coming out
october 15th we've talked about this game a few times guys ninja guidance four really really looks
good it looks great it looks so good and i probably won't play it and i have no time for it man
it looks so good if it wasn't for the podcast this would absolutely be a game i would pick up but
guess what it's just we're still going to be in just the the honeymoon period with battlefield
Oh, yeah.
I mean, Ninja Guideon 4, you look fantastic for people that forgot about it.
It is coming October 21st release date.
If you love this genre, if you love this type of game, it looks amazing.
So absolutely check it out.
Absolutely pick it up.
If you're not big on the battlefield or any of those types of games, Ninja
Guidon, like, it looks like it's going to meet up to what you want.
Yeah, especially for such a beloved series too, man.
I mean, Ninja Guyton goes way back to, like way back to Sega?
I remember.
I think the Sega days?
Oh, yeah.
Right?
I remember playing out on Xbox, like OG Xbox, the original, like Ninja Guardian, too.
Like, that didn't rid.
I think it was so.
Well, two.
I think it was two or three.
I forget which one it was.
I'm pretty sure the original.
Oh, I'm thinking Shinobi.
I, okay, that's a blunder because I was thinking Shinobi was on the old Sega.
I don't think Ninja Guyton was on Sega.
I think that was Nintendo, right?
I don't remember.
I played, I played Ninja Guy, it's been a while.
Anyway, check it out, people. It looks great. Outer Worlds 2. Now, Outer Worlds, I've never played. I know that it is, this is, you know, devs that left Bethesda and kind of started their own studio and said, we want to make a game how we want to make it. Outer Worlds was pretty popular. I don't think it was like overwhelmingly popular with people. But Outer Worlds 2 is everything that they've learned over the last five or six years or however long it's been since Outer Worlds came out. I think it looks great. This is another one where I'll probably just never play it. But I think there's probably.
probably a really good video game here.
This is Obsidian again, isn't it?
Out of World's Tomb?
I think it, is it Obsidian?
I thought it was Obsidian.
This is the third game this year if this is Obsidian.
I don't think, I don't think it's Obsidian.
You might be right, though.
It is Obsidian.
Yeah, you're right.
This is their third game this year.
Yeah, all right.
I mean, good on you.
It actually looks really good to me.
um i just a game but will this be the one that's more than just it's okay or it's good well that's the
question right i mean outer worlds a lot of people liked it but it didn't really it didn't do enough
to catch on outer worlds too might be the hey we figured a lot of stuff out and now we put it all
together into a fantastic fallout like a game we're not going to spend time on this one but
this is the perfect the perfect release for Halloween guys it is the scariest looking game i have
seen in my life.
My eyes.
The hollower.
My eyes.
Dude, if you want to see gore on a screen and you want your brain to just revolt over the
most gory looking hideous thing you have ever seen, Mina the hollower is it.
You telling me it's coincidence that they picked Halloween to release this game.
Come on.
Come on, guys.
My eyes.
This is true visual horror at its peak, people.
Oh, no.
All right, we got to move on.
The cell.
Okay, whatever.
Oh, yeah, we're moving on.
We're moving on.
We take our jobs and then we run.
The, the, quite possibly the second game on my list for Hight Meter that I am most excited for.
Arc Raiders is coming out October 30th.
This is the squad-based extraction open world shooter.
I got to play the closed beta.
It is phenomenal.
Is that the beta you streamed?
It looks incredible.
That's the one I streamed.
Okay.
And it looks.
It's so good, dude.
It is PVEVP extraction shooter, large open world.
The second I jumped in, I meant, bro, this game screams polish and it played really well.
The PVEE aspects were fun, the PVP aspects.
I got wrecked.
Arc Raiders is shaping up to be something really good.
I cannot wait to get my hands on this one.
So for me, it goes Battlefield 6, Arc Raiders on my meter.
It looks like Rust with good graphics.
it does kind of like honestly it does there is crafting in the game i mean if you haven't
checked out arc raiders yet you need to check this out this is one that i'm really hoping that we
deep dive as well because i think this game will absolutely shine well how many deep times are we
going to do man we got we got we also got a you got a battlefield six you've got a hijack in that
month we got arc raiders and that's it what are you talking about guys you know um but arc i i'm i'm
super super excited for arc raiders guys like that one looks great and i'll be honest here's the key
because november we're moving in november it ain't looking so hot boys we've got cairn which i know
you two guys who love to find the games i know you two i know you two are excited about i'm very
excited about cairn uh you can blame pique for ruining that for me because it was excited about
karen and then i realized i hate climbing games so sorry to the developers of karen but you can blame
peak call of duty black op seven let's be honest half the world's going to be playing this game because
half the world likes call of duty for some reason bro they're scrambling understand it they're scrambling
dude yeah they're scared they are scrambling they are scared right now love it because you know what's
going to happen is battlefield six will absolutely make call of duty better so for all of the call of duty
bros out there we support you we love you we're we're battlefield guys but hey you know what call of duty's
got its place but you should be thankful because battlefield
has them scared and that will absolutely make the Call of Duty franchise better moving
iron sharp and iron man high tide rises all boats dude i Josh uh how much uh how many gigs
was the old uh uh call of duty like a hundred fifty 300 big jillian something like that yeah the new
one it's like a fifth of that guys oh we miraculously figured out how to compress
Oh, now we can compress them.
Wow, man.
Do you think this was random?
Can we tell how annoying that is that this is what it took for them to take the time to actually compress their files?
That shows how little they care.
That shows right there how little they care that it took that to get them to optimize it enough to take it like 80% down.
Like, come on, that's a lot.
That's not like, oh, we missed the spot.
That's a third my hard drive.
Yes.
That's not we miss a little spot
Dude
Oh man
I just
This will make it
This is good
They're already pulling back on the skins
They went oh
That's one
Nicky Minaj skins
Like okay well I guess
So they've already crawfish their way back
Look
Black Off 7 may not be it
But but the next call of duty
I guarantee you will be better
Because of they have competition
Which I love
I love
I love dude
I love Overwatch
I loved rivals
But you know what
Overwatch got super lazy, dude, until
rivals came out, and guess what's better
now? Overwatch is way better because
they went, oh, crap, we better start
trying again. Lift the fire.
When developers try, games get better.
I love it. So, a little friendly competition
does not hurt.
It helps a lot, actually.
All right, where wins me?
I don't know what to expect on this one, guys. We covered this
game like two or three years ago. It looked
incredible. It disappeared off the face of the planet. It went
mobile it went uh like eastern release only for a little while i don't know what the heck's going on with
this but it is actually releasing on pc november 14th i think this game looks incredible i don't
know what to expect out of it but it looks really good um so i'm very curious on that one
uh kirby air riders for the switch two the switch two is trying to release some games that people
might be interested in isn't that their second racing game of their unique of their unique
I have like 80 racing games
It's all just
I know
Every character racing
And then guys
We come to December
There's nothing in December
There's literally
Now before I say that
There is one game
I'm sorry to the
It's not Unicorn Overlord
It's like that
Octopath Traveler Zero
Octopath Traveler Zero is coming out in December
I've never played Octopath
I know it's beloved
I know it's an absolutely beloved RPG
Very beloved RPG.
Octopath Traveler Zero is coming out in December.
That's it.
That is it in December.
So I don't know what's going on with holiday release schedule this year.
Maybe it's just, they're like, bro, 20, 25 did it.
We don't need to release another game this year because it's...
I would blame them.
You guys got all the games.
I'm surprised there's not like a Pokemon or something coming out there.
Destiny 2 Renegate Expansion December 2nd.
What are you talking about?
I will say this.
No.
There are two games that I know of.
that are still supposed to come out this year, guys.
Kingmakers still set for a 2025 release.
Don't know if it's going to happen,
but Kingmakers is on that list.
And Hades 2, the full release for Hades 2,
it's supposed to be...
Why are they so quiet about this?
I think they're worried, dude.
Like, legitimately, I think they're worried.
Did this early access not go the way they wanted?
I honestly think that might be the case.
I think that they hit gold, the genre exploded,
and then they went, crap, there's so much competition in this space now
that maybe we don't stand out anymore.
I have not heard great things about Hades 2.
I am legitimately concerned about Hades 2 for the company,
because I just don't know that the hype level is there.
I mean, we got Silksong, the hype levels through the roof.
Hades is one of the best roguide games of all time.
Why is the hype level not there like it was for Silks 2?
Because they did a dumb early access.
Yeah, it's because that early access.
Stupid early access
I hate it
I don't know guys
Killed the intrigue
It killed the mystery
It killed only interest
In Hades
Everybody knows what the game is
Like what?
I'm very curious about Hades too
Because I would love it to be good
Hades is incredible
Yeah
I would like Hades too to be incredible
But we're something's wrong
If the devs have a sense of humor
They'll release it the same day as sworn
Yeah that would be
That would be fun
Oh my goodness so
And listen everybody
That's it
what we know for the rest of 2025 guys what give me your top three games that you're most excited
for for off of this list that we've talked about oh off this list alone sworn is up there
sworn is very high one's up there for you yeah okay ghost of yotai is way up there i'm so excited
it's respite and it's yote oh yote i was i wasn't going to say see look i wasn't going to say
anything josh goes and corrects them look at this people and of course the number i
I'll probably, I'm pretty sure it's Yote.
I think that's what they called it, so I'm feeling pretty comfortable.
We'll call it Yote because that's what you've been calling it this all time.
But the number one thing I'm most excited for is Battlefield 6.
It's, it's Battlefield 6.
I love hearing that from you, Ace.
I cannot tell you how much I love hearing this from me, dude.
We had such a good time with Battlefield 6, and I just want to get back to that where we're streaming it every night, where we've got people to chat with.
Wait until you get the big maps, Ace.
Yeah, yeah.
Big maps where we're tooling around in a freaking hum V or, I mean, we're going to get.
I don't remember you guys remember in Rivals Nights
when we would have huge Discord call just with
everyone in it. It's going to be that again with
30 people on the same battlefield map.
100%. Oh, going up
against each other too, man. It's going to be so
good, dude. It's going to be so good.
The chopper or the tank just murk it fools
and be like, take that, suckers.
Melting them down.
All right, so Ghost of Yote, Battlefield 6
and then Sworn for you A is. I think
sworn is really high up there for me, honestly.
Okay. I think it'll be a good time.
I am interested in Sworn. I'm not going to lie.
that's one I kind of need to see like the response to it to go like okay now I'm really in on that one but it does really multiplayer Hades looks fantastic I know right what about you what's your top three oh man um so so battlefield six battlefield six oh I was gonna say it cut what came to mind is uh what is that uh gosh where he goes he goes dialin dylan and dylan um with the uh with the comedy skit but um yeah dude it's on
Honestly, it's Battlefield 6.
Like, that's what the rest of the year holds for me.
I'm going to finish Silk Song.
I'm going to go back to Snake Eater and get into that and really dive in to bring back my youth almost.
Like, the remake so far, and I don't know if we'll cover it, like, on an episode, but, like, I've had so much fun with it so far.
It is, it is really, really good.
so if you've never played a middle gear solid game check it out it is it is an awesome one to get started with it is absolutely beautiful it is really amazing uh cinematics the way the gameplay is all that is fantastic but battlefield is is an enigma and it's something that we missed out on with 2042 it was it was so bad so so one in five one and five weren't even that good dude like we haven't had a decent battlefield since battlefield four
Four. Four is probably my favorite, but I have a lot of good memories with the others. And this is, I felt all those old feelings. And I know, Josh, you felt the same. And we were talking about it. And we just, and to get somebody like Ace, who is, who, I love you, buddy. He's not good at these games. But he came, not yet. Not yet. Not yet. But he came in. And he had a, he had an awesome.
time and he healed his ass off and i and i i equally so like i that's what i love to do too man i love
to go and just just shock pedal everyone you know i'm gonna bring you all back to life like you can
have fun even if you're not going around killing people and that's what's so cool about battlefield
it's it's a it's a it's a genuine awesome war simulator that that is not that dramatic so
that's all I care about
for the rest of the year. That is all that's
going to take my time. If you guys want to pull me
off to something, good luck, because
after October 10th, dude,
that's going to be my life.
You're going to check out, Karen,
aren't you? Oh, yeah, okay,
yeah, I'll check that out.
A little, maybe a little bit. Maybe not,
I guess. Absolutely Battlefield 6.
Tip of the top of the mountain. Nothing is even close.
I'm with you on that one, Ryan, an ace.
Like, that to me, I cannot wait.
Ghost of Yote, I think, is absolutely in the top three for me.
And then Arc Raiders is the other one.
So those three are easy.
Honestly, like I think there's a lot of other good-looking games on this list.
I'm very curious about.
But when you say, hey, what's your top three?
Battlefield 6, Ghost of Yote, and Arc Raiders for me, hands down.
Yeah.
Guys, we got a lot of incredible gaming left this year.
It almost seems overwhelming, except that when you start thinking, like,
we're just going to be having fun, man.
We're just going to be having fun playing video games.
Like, this is amazing.
Yeah.
And you think like, you look, you're like, oh, there's not a lot coming up.
And then you look and like, oh, okay, that's like 40 hours.
Oh, that's like 40 hours.
Oh, that's another 20.
And you're like, oh, crap, that's like all the rest of the year.
You know, it's all right there.
It's three releases in October.
Yeah.
You know, like I'm honestly hoping that November and December don't have a whole lot.
So I can play Metal Gear Solid Delta finally, you know, or something like that.
Yeah.
But you know what's going to happen because it happens all the time is where.
We're going to get into early October, and we're going to get some game announcement that says coming holiday 2025.
They're going to be like, what the heck?
Like, all right.
So, but I'm here for it.
I love it.
We hope this episode helped to put some of these games back on your radar and, and, you know, wish list them so you don't forget about them.
It helps the devs.
But my goodness, man, I'm excited for the rest of this year, you know, we're in the home stretch.
I like that we're in the end game now, you know, because I'm a fan of Infinity War and game.
