I am your host, Paul.
And like a Jawa proverb, he won't pay for breakfast, so he's going to eat sand for free.
It's Josh.
Utini!
That's a Jawa battle cry. Utini. You're coming in in so loud ryan and i couldn't even hear it
star wars nerds everywhere are rejoicing that i know java oh i can't wait to hear it speaking
of breakfast so josh you and i are in a slack channel where we both you know share employment
it's where you work full-time and i have a part-time job and i gotta say the debate
over the mcgriddle versus egg mcmuffin for breakfast at mcdonald's not a debate you're
100 correct i know why would you want a bland dull doughy like chewy mcmuffin over a delicious
syrup infused flaky and tender mcgrid, man. All right, pump the brakes.
The Egg McMuffin's also delicious, but the McGriddle is way better.
I just had to say I've got your back, buddy.
They're two for five as well, right?
No.
I think so.
Not anymore.
Dude, Jeremy was just telling the story that ordered breakfast for three.
It was three Egg McMuffin combos, they they changed their drink to orange juice and it was 49 at mcdonald's for three egg mcmuffin meals that's got to be like
three or four dollars per orange juice that's clearly still it's freaking oj man yeah that's
ridiculous all right and then joining josh and me he is in his mom's basement playing an illegal dev build
of Space Marine 2.
It's Ryan.
No, mom, don't come in.
Mom, no.
Mom, meatloaf.
Yeah, meatloaf.
Pizza rolls.
Yeah, 15.
You told me you'd bring me chocolate milk and you didn't.
You lied.
15 pizza rolls is child's play, wouldn't yeah that's true i guess i'm used to what i make for my son i was gonna say
i'm a half bag whole bag depending on how the day went oh my god there you go all right now i should
say here on the outset that i've been out of town for like the last four and a half five days i'm a
little out of the loop with news we're kind of scrambling here at the last minute now that I'm back in
Phoenix. But let's go ahead and cover some of this news that I've been very quickly catching up on.
All right, let's first talk a little bit about Concord. Now, this is the upcoming PvP hero
shooter. It was just announced in June. Joshosh you said at the time that you were hyped but a
little hesitant you love hero shooters gamers as a whole we're not very happy but we don't need a
20th version of the hero shooter paul come on josh we have so many hero shooters there there are so
many in the market right now that are coming out soon. So, all right. When I got home, I saw a
little bit of buzz on our Discord about Concord. So all I did was Google search Concord beta.
This is not a joke. These are the top four hits right now, according to Google. Here's what I
saw. They're all news articles. Game Rant posted, new PS5 console exclusive may be dead on arrival push square concord's free open beta is performing
abysmally on pc insider gaming the concord open beta oh gosh i copied this quote wrong bombed
the concord open beta bombed on steam and forbes this is my favorite one there is no spinning how
poorly concord open beta went on steam. So what happened here, Josh?
Well, okay.
So first of all, I did get to play the beta.
I played probably about 12 to 15 matches.
And so you can't believe everything you read on the internet,
especially these gaming websites.
I mean, they're just trying to get clicks.
So these sensationalist headlines are there for a reason.
But you can believe it in this case, because this was bad, guys. I mean, bad. And I went in
so excited, like so excited. I had seen a couple of people on social media being like, hey,
Concord's a lot of fun. I'm having a blast. These characters are really cool. The presentation is great. And so I went into this just amped. And then I get into the game. And what's the first thing you do
in a hero shooter before you jump into a match? You got 16 characters that you're going to play.
What do you do? Realize the error of your ways and back out. Okay, that's a fair point, Ryan.
That's a fair point. Read their abilities and
test them in some kind of shooting range. Exactly, right?
You go into the training ground and you say
let me run through these guys and learn what they
do. In Concord Beta,
nope. You just
get thrown into a match. You have to pick a
guy. You have no idea what he's doing.
Everybody is standing around AFK
in this match because people are trying to look
up their skills and figure out what the heck's going on.
Two or three people are running around just shooting at each other.
But the shooting felt abysmal, in my opinion.
There is this very weird, like, walk run.
Like, I mean, most hero shooters, you just run.
You just press forward and your guy goes.
Not in Concord.
You have a walk.
Why the heck do you need to walk in a hero shooter?
And the walk might as well be a crawl because it's about that fast.
So then finally you hit sprint and you're like, oh, there we go.
Now it's a normal walking pace at this point.
But then you get in a fight.
So you stop.
You start shooting people.
You check out these skills.
You have no idea what they are.
I played some mushroom plant guy and I just dropped a spore on the ground. it's like like i felt like the the meme with the stick where the guy's
like do something do something you know and it's like i don't know what the heck this spore does
nobody knows like you had to go into a like a almost like a like a doc dude like a text document
to read about their abilities instead of being able to actually like try these out but if you stop to fight and then you're like oh i'm getting overwhelmed let me run and go hide
around this corner guess what you're walking again because there's a walk function in this
game it's just none of it worked dude absolutely none of it worked i think i posted on our discord
like after like four matches i was like dude this dude, this is abysmal. And then I went, you know what? Maybe I didn't give it a fair shake. Let's play a few more
matches. I cannot, I cannot endorse this game, man. I know there's people out there that like
it. I see them posting on social media. If you like it, I'm happy for you. But if you're asking
me, somebody that loves hero shooters about this, like if this was free to play, maybe I'd be willing to give it a
little bit more of a shot when the release came out, because it's like, well, maybe they tweak
some of the pacing and some of the abilities and stuff like that. This is a $40 game.
Like this is not a free to play game. They want you to buy this for 40 bucks and then just trust
that this is going to be fun. And it was not, dude. I see absolutely
zero reason to play Concord over Overwatch at this point. Like zero. I mean, it was that bad,
dude. I was really disappointed. Can you tell I'm a little upset because I kind of had my hopes up?
And then I get in this game and I'm just like, what the heck were you thinking?
Presentation-wise looks great. The characters are neat.play sucks abilities suck pacing sucks hero shooters suck well ryan ryan we weren't we weren't too hyped
for this one so at least i think we feel less let down because i don't think we were really
hyped for this one as much as josh no not at all i mean i'm not a big hero shooter guy as it is but
um not having the training ground seems crazy to me like i know when we played a deadlock that had the training ground and i still didn't
even know what the heck to do with my with my hero you know so not having it at all that's
that's a funny mental image to think of everybody just afk sitting there reading you know and you're
just watching them all stand around but yeah that's that's wild when they have such a good
blueprint laid out i mean like you know what to do for a hero shooter.
That's why there are a million of them.
But to fail that miserably, it's kind of wild.
Yeah.
Well, Deadlock was a little bit of a swing and a miss for us
since we don't really care for MOBAs.
This one looks to be a little bit DOA.
But hey, maybe Marvel Rivals will do it for you, Josh.
You got so many.
Next one up.
Pickle dude. Marvel Rivals is where it for you, Josh. You got so many. I am a fickle dude.
Marvel Rivals is where it's going to be at, boy.
It's a little bit like Helldivers too, right?
Like next soldier up.
There's just, you know, next one in the pile.
All right.
Well, there is also an upcoming MMO that's called Throne and Liberty.
This is coming via NC Soft.
It's the same parent company that served over guild wars one and two and wild
star. I had not heard of this game before today. Josh, you said you played it. I just downloaded
it in steam. I jumped in. I was able to play for about 40 minutes. This game is gorgeous.
This is another freaking weird game coming out of like South Korea. They know how to bring the
weirdness with these ones. Uh, Ryan,
I don't know if you got a chance to look into this much at all, but what did you guys think about
thrown in Liberty? So I have to get, I have to give credit to Iraq on our discord server because
he's the one that actually brought this game to our attention. I had never heard of this game
before, like ever. And so Iraq comes in and it's like, Hey, is anybody going to jump into this
beta? And I was like, what beta? And he's like thrown in liberty i'm like never heard of it looked it up was like okay
well this looks kind of interesting so i jumped in but did you ryan did you get a chance to to
load it up i did yeah i played uh kind of like paul less than an hour but i was able to hop in
and kind of check things out definitely absolutely beautiful the game um that's what graphics would
look like in 2024 like it's i mean with unreal and all these other different uh engines it's i i mean i'm not a
programmer a designer developer or anything like that but i think it's a little bit easier now to
make these beautiful games like this and so uh this is this is the standard now this is what i
expect especially for a free-to-play yeah dude like i jumped in this and i will
say the combat i did not find to be terribly fun but man this game is gorgeous like i i don't think
i've seen a game that was this fun to just sit back and watch graphically since final fantasy 16
like this game is so colorful the camera is constantly swinging around there's a whole
sequence where you go flying
through the trees with this little ball of yarn called a mysterious something or other. Like
this game's a little bit weird, but it is so beautiful. Even the opening menu with all the
purple lightning is like, this game is really fun to look at. I don't know that it's one that I'm
necessarily going to want to spend a lot of time in because the gameplay wise, it's always weird to me to just do like an auto attack and then have to
stand near the enemy while they keep doing it. But it does have a little bit of that wild star
DNA. You see like the telegraphs on the ground, you got to dodge out of the way.
You've got some really weird side characters wearing monocles and, but then you're fighting
these like giant, this giant raid type boss with
this glowing purple eye and you chuck an axe into its eye and you know it dies and you've got this
narrator the whole time and you're turning into an eagle and flying around there's a lot going on
with this one it i i do you guys kind of do you guys agree with me did the combat seem really bad
in comparison to everything else it's it's not bad like it's weird because it is actually combat it's uninteresting and that and
i think but i think you hit the nail on the head paul the game is so freaking beautiful that the
combat i think which is plenty okay just kind of pales in comparison. Because the presentation is unbelievable, man.
It is.
You made the Final Fantasy XVI reference, which I think is very fitting. I'm going to make the
Witcher 3 reference, because I don't know if you remember Witcher 3 back in the day,
when you first kind of booted it up and you had like the sun was setting over Nilfgaard and stuff
early in the game. And it was just like, yo, this is something like spectacular that's kind of the vibe i got
with this game is like i don't know that like ryan you said it graphics are going places i
didn't know they could go at this point and i'm amazed every time i see it but this one is like
takes the cake for like best graphics that i've seen in a while. It is action-based combat.
I like the fact that it looks like a big fat skill bar
where you can probably wind up
with like 20 different abilities.
Yes.
It is a little bit like New World or Guild Wars
where depending on the weapon you have equipped,
that is the skills that are on your skill bar.
And so I liked that aspect.
You can also dual class in the sense that you get an
offhand or like an offset weapon and you can still use those skills and you can freely weapon swap at
the same time which i thought was really cool so question on that did you use controller or mouse
and keyboard i used mouse and keyboard well you probably rebound everything it the default is the
tilde key to switch weapons.
I'm like, what is this?
Who uses that, man?
Yeah, the key bindings are so weird.
And by the way, I decided to go with the wand first.
Your guy runs around with an open book in his offhand.
I'm like, this looks so stupid while I'm casting spells with my wand,
and he's got this book open.
That wand is straight ripped off of Hogwarts Legacy,
because it even does the little curly Q things like in Hogwarts.
I was like, this seems very familiar to me.
That's great.
Did you guys use the dash at all?
Yeah.
Well, the beast, like the sprint.
Yeah.
I thought that was pretty cool because, I mean, like you run in a game, you just run.
I thought it was neat to kind of mix it up a little bit to where you transform into this kind
of cat beast thing and you can sprint around but i spent most of my time just exploring like as the
beast running around just looking at things jumping over stuff and yeah again edge i can't say enough
about the graphics they were they were so cool but yeah the the combat even when you know in the
tutorial in the beginning i missed what it said for the key bind was for switching to the bow.
And so I'm like pressing all these buttons.
It's like, you can't chat here.
You can't do this.
I'm like messing everything up.
And then eventually I...
You didn't try the tilde key?
No.
Eventually I just, I used one of the bow attacks.
And then I just did it that way because I was like, I have no clue how to switch weapons.
Nice.
Yeah, this one's a little bit bananas.
But it was fun to play i enjoyed looking
around in the world but usually i'm not the kind of guy to just like marvel at the graphics of a
game i just want to like get going but man this one looked great all right well let's go ahead
and take a short break i want to give us plenty of time to talk about star wars outlaws so we'll
be right back this is an ad from BetterHelp Online Therapy.

All right, guys.
We got a 10-minute from ign this week that showcased a mission from star wars
outlaws here you were given a quest from the jawas because you want them to install this turret on
your ship and they tell you that in order to do it you have to go get a tooth from a sarlacc pit
which i thought sounded really fun and then you get to like watch the mission carry out uh about 10 straight minutes where they do edit out some of the travel and some things
like that i i'll hold back on my comments for right now i'm very curious to hear what you guys
thought about this gameplay you mean uh you mean the game of the year gameplay oh the ryan's pick
from earlier oh boy yeah um i i first off i want to say i love that speeder bike
i don't know about you guys but i thought it i thought it was so cool i love the design and
look of it i love the way it looked like it felt riding that around kind of reminds me of uh like
the sparrow on destiny um i thought some of the different aspects were uh as you're navigating through like she
she's trying to get through this cave and there's some boulders in her way she's trying to blast
them with the blaster they don't break up and then she does a charge shot and then it breaks
up so you have to kind of switch things up to get through um some of that open area seems really
just empty and just really it's tattooing yeah i mean i yeah i get it um but it's
also depends on how far you have to travel for that you know through those desolate lands but um
i mean i'm sure they know what they're doing they can add something in to make it kind of
cool but man the the space battle the dog fighting that's that's where it's at for me i i think that
looks so so cool i cannot wait
to get my hands on this and uh and just battle up in space i'm what about the stealth elements
that that's where this got real shaky for me a little bit i this i will say this gameplay did
not make me as hyped as the previous release of gameplay where it kind of took me over that that edge like oh man i'm really excited i wouldn't say that this brought me back to earth
a little bit but it definitely didn't hype me up like i was hoping um i'm still super excited for
this it does have some similar aspects to me feels kind of like fallen order a little bit um just the
way you move around in combat and stuff but yeah i don't know it's it's
a lukewarm on on what we saw on this but i'm still i'm still very excited it's it's interesting you
say that because there was nothing wrong with this trailer in my opinion the the thing that
it made me think is this mission seemed very simple you know it's go to the javas they send
you to go get a
tooth. You, you know, you take your speeder bike out to the Sarlacc pit, you jump down,
you walk through a few hallways, you know, you fight a couple of guys and then there's the area
where the tooth is. You fight a couple more guys, you get the tooth and then you get out.
And it's like, okay, like the presentation wise, all that looks really nice. Like I have to give
them credit. It feels like Star Wars, there's banter, you know, the gunplay seems okay and stuff like that. But my one concern with this
is, is it all going to just be that simple? You know, like they're talking about these missions
and how it's semi open world, even though they're calling it an open world, they're saying, well,
it's not really a big open world. You can kind of go places, but then, you know, it's like Tatooine. I know Tatooine is a barren wasteland,
but the question is, is that while I'm going from this point to that point on a mission,
can I get sidetracked? Can I go, Ooh, what's that over there? And maybe go explore that little area
and maybe find a little submission or something like that, which I think would be great.
But like this mission that they showed off, I was just kind of like,
okay, it's the most basic fetch quest mission with a little bit of combat in there.
So I'm not slandering the game. I'm just saying it is a concern of mine that if the game is just
oversimplified, I think that's going to be a problem. I have read a couple previews and
things like that where people said, listen, this game presents very, very well, but we played it and it doesn't play that great because everything is just kind of dumbed down. Like the space combat, I think looks phenomenal. And I am game? You know what I mean? Is it overly simple
at that point? Because for somebody like me, I think that would start to be a little bit of a
problem. I don't know if that's the case, but I'm with you a little bit where I'm not sure it hyped
me up. It didn't really hype me down either, but it just kind of made me question a little bit more.
Dude, just wait till they release the combat uh the complex mission pack for 1999
then you'll be good you know what's coming yeah what about you paul i mean you were
you're super high on this game with ryan what did you think i i have so much whiplash because
no i was saying man this game is gonna be so bad it's it's it's the most likely to disappoint us
this year you know josh you and i both It's the most likely to disappoint us this year.
Josh, you and I both said that most likely to disappoint is Star Wars Outlaws.
Then the latest trailers prior to this had me where I was like, dude, this might be game of
the year contender. Now, this definitely pulled me back from that. I'm not necessarily quite as
hyped. I'm still looking forward to it. I want to play it.
I think that this game will have a lot of fun.
As soon as they said,
like,
go jump into a dead Sarlacc pit and go find a tooth.
I was like,
dude,
that is such a cool idea for a mission.
I want to see that.
And then as soon as you slide into the Sarlacc pit,
it's just kind of like,
it's like a tunnel.
There's no indicator that you're inside a Sarlacc pit. Like,
it's just like an underground, like room like a tunnel. There's no indicator that you're inside a Sarlacc pit. It's just like an underground room, sort of.
It could have been anything, yeah.
And you don't even pull the tooth out.
It's in the hands of a droid that died down there.
So, I don't know.
I found that kind of underwhelming.
The stealth is severely underbaked.
The radius of noise made no sense in this game.
You're opening fire with your blaster
and there's enemies that are not far away that don't get alerted. And then at one point,
Kay shoots an explosive barrel that's right next to her and it does no damage to you,
but it kills another enemy that's like 15 feet away. And so I was like, dude, there's some like
weird stuff. For this to be what you're saying
is here's the best 10 minutes we can put out there to drive up hype for the game that's what
has me a little bit nervous and uh a lot of people feel similarly ultimately even if it really is
just an open world ubisoft game which josh obviously fell out of love with a very long time
ago if it's just that with a Star Wars skin,
I'll still have 15 hours of fun and I'm all for it, but I'm no longer thinking that this might be game of the year. That Star Wars skin is going to get me, man, because I love some Star Wars.
And so I think this just maybe, and maybe this is a good thing. Maybe this tempered our
expectations a little bit. I know I've been lower on this game than I think you two. I think we're
all looking forward to it for sure, but I'm back to being a little bit more cautious on my outlook with it,
because like you said, if this was putting your best foot forward, why did you show this?
There's so many things they could have done with this mission to hype it up more.
And I'm with you. When they go
into this, like you get to the outside of the Sarlacc pit and there's of course bounty hunters
and everybody's trying to farm this thing. So you're like, oh, and you jump in and it's every
other underground tunnel you've ever seen in a video game ever. And I'm like, how is this a
Sarlacc? Well, and they say like, be careful. There's going to be others that are hostile in
the area. And there's two guys who are 40 feet away from you and you're using your binoculars staring at them and you're
surrounded by desert like they should be able to see you and you just slide in the sarlacc pit and
like no one seems to even care so i don't know it seemed to be kind of missing some of those details
but at the same time uh i'm still looking forward to it right, we still have a little bit to cover here. So we have to mention the Warhammer Space Marine 2 leak.
So this happened a little while ago.
We did get some responses from Saber and Focus,
but if anyone doesn't know,
basically a full developer build of the entire game
has leaked online.
You can go find it if you want,
but it allows you to pretty much play the
entire game. Saber and Focus came out and said that this build is a little less than a year old,
and so they're asking people not to play it. Wait so you can play the final version.
But by every account, everyone seems to agree that the game is in amazing shape and that it
looks absolutely fantastic. People who are playing
it says that it's highly playable, very well polished, even for an older build. I am going
to intentionally not look at any of the footage. I want to wait and experience all of it for myself.
But I was kind of curious to hear from you guys. Are you now more or less hyped for Space Marine
2 versus Star Wars Outlaws? Oh, I'm 100% Space Marine 2.
If you're telling me pick one, it's no question for me.
I think Space Marine 2 is going to be an insane amount of fun.
I think it is going to be fun with buddies because it is co-op.
It has PvP elements.
I mean, we're seeing more and more that there's skill trees and upgrade paths
and different weapon types and things like that.
I mean, this screams Josh as the kind of game that it is.
And it's weird because I asked the other day, and I think, Ryan, maybe you responded, but I was like, could this beat out Helldivers as one of the most fun games of the year?
And a couple of people were like, dude, it's looking like it might actually do that. Now, we won't know, obviously, until we can play it. But like you said, Paul, everything I have seen,
all of the video, all of the gameplay only makes it look better and better.
My one concern with this game is, is it just going to get overly routine very quickly? Like,
how many thousands of Terminids can you kill before you just kind of
go, the environment doesn't matter. And the terminates streaming through the sky doesn't
matter anymore because all I'm really doing is just shooting into a horde of creatures nonstop,
you know, and that's my one concern. So you could argue you do that in hell divers,
but hell divers mixes things up enough that you don't feel that way, you know,
until you're a 100 plus hours in
so i am super hyped for this game the fact that it has three player co-op on the campaign and the
missions and stuff and and pvp and stuff like that just speaks to me uh so well and i it there's no
comparison in my mind with this versus star wars outlaws as far as which one I'm more hyped to play. Yeah, it's hard. I mean, the gameplay on this, I think,
does look better than Star Wars, but dang, I got a soft spot in my heart for some Star Wars.
So it's hard, but I do like, I mean, I love the way the combat looks with the swarm tech they
have. I like the fact that, like in the trailer we saw where you you're kind of one-handed um a
pistol or a rifle and then the other hand you have your sword so you can kind of switch it up in
combat a little bit where you're still firing and you're swinging at other animals you're the
other bugs or whatever they are um it gets a little bit of that kind of weight to it like
the heavy character feel like kind of like gears of war um it, like the heavy character feel, like kind of like Gears of War. It reminded me of,
which is obviously a ringing endorsement
and would be amazing if it was anything like that.
But yeah, I'm super stoked for this.
The more I see, the more hyped I get.
And our offer still stands to Henry Cavill.
You can come on the show,
talk about your love for Warhammer.
Just have your people call our people.
We'll get in touch.
We'll make it happen.
Our people being one of the three of us. Yeah. Preferably me. Yeah. Yeah. I'm very hyped for Space Marine 2. This one has very quickly gone to the top of my most anticipated
list. I would say right now, this is the one I'm most looking forward to. Josh, I'm assuming you
would still say Black Myth Wukong. Yeah. Ryanyan i sense for you it's probably still star wars these are like 50 50 i'd say yeah
these are like the top two for you yeah yeah so i mean i just love hearing that pretty much everyone
seems to be agreeing saying hey this is in great shape can't wait till it comes out i am very
curious to see how replayable it all is with the pvp modes and
with those not the main story campaign but whatever they call it i'm gonna call it adventure
mode because that's similar like remnant 2 where it's like you get to just replay levels with
different variables and with your buddies and stuff like that where are you off to i'm already late. Late for what? I'm going on an adventure.
The Vermintide mode, if you will.
Yeah, exactly.
I will say this.
Just public service announcement.
Don't pirate this game.
You know, the point being is that the devs obviously care about this game.
They've been working on it for a long time.
Everything about this screams that it has a lot of love and attention put into it. Just wait till it comes out. Play the game the way it was intended to be played by the devs. We're going to cover this game. So I mean, if you want to wait to see our
thoughts on it, you can, but I'm pretty confident this game's just going to be pretty amazing,
but don't pirate it up front. Don't buy into the whole leaks and stuff like that thing.
Totally agree.
All right.
And then we're going to move into our last story of the week.
Apologies, Josh.
I know you wanted to talk about No Man's Sky and some of the most recent developments there.
But we got to talk about Splitgate 2, man.
Yeah, that's all right.
I don't mind.
That's okay.
Yeah.
Dude, Splitgate 2 is now officially announced.
We got an announcement trailer that is just like
cinematics that doesn't really show you anything i mean who cares we've all played splitgate
we all love it i'm sure all three of us are hyped i i kind of forgot how high we all were on this
game on our leaderboard i gave it an 8.7 josh an 8.6 ryan an 8.5 for our consensus score we have this why do you hate this game ryan
and only an 8.5 uh only 1.4 lower lower than ryan's highest rating so consensus we've got
this above deep rock galactic rocket league terraria and hollow knight so i'm sure it's
safe to say we all can't wait for this newest iteration right dude the split
gate is an insanely good time it is the throwback to the arena shooter it uses portal guns for you
to outwit and outsmart your enemies which plays so well the gunplay is great the one downside the
one downside to split gate was the graphics were pretty dated and there wasn't a huge variety in map variability and stuff like that.
So there was definitely room to progress.
If I remember right,
it wasn't Splitgate made by one dude in college for his thesis or something,
or two guys.
Two guys from Stanford University.
It was their senior project.
Right.
And they were letting other people test the build
and they just
kept sharing it with more and more people and everyone loved it so they end up getting all
this funding so i think it's safe to say the budget for this is going to be through the roof
compared to the first dude i read an article that kind of talked about some of the stuff you know
that it's bringing and things like that and there was a little bit of a slideshow for just some screenshots
since we didn't really see any actual gameplay or anything. Did you up the graphics on split gate?
You up some of like the, give me some unlockables or some progression elements in that game.
Keep the portal thing the way I'd like, dude, this could very well be like the best shooter of
2025. It is slated to come out next year we know
how that goes maybe it gets delayed maybe it doesn't but don't don't sleep on splitgate this
game is incredibly fun and i can't i can't tell you how hyped i am to see what they do with split
gate 2 man the only problem with these is because it's so far away and we just have to sit here and
wait for all this time you get so excited and you're like cool now i gotta wait a year to hear it be delayed again uh you know but yeah it's it's um like you
said we're we're all so hyped on the first one and i'm beyond excited i just i freaking love
portals in video games i wish we had i wish we had it more like i don't know why it's such a cool
mechanic and a cool way to move throughout a game like i do not understand why it's such a cool mechanic and a cool way to move throughout a
game like i do not understand why it's not in more no that is a great point like that's why
splitgate was started because these guys said we love portal why don't we just put that into
the shooter genre like i think portal guns still are so underutilized we should be seeing this in
way more games like high on life josh is that not
like the perfect case where you could have just thrown in where one of the weapons shoots portals
the comedy element i was gonna say the shenanigans that you could have with that if you would just
put it in there and let us figure out how to do it like i get it you know but i don't is it a
coding thing maybe i don't know i don't either, but like it should absolutely be in something like that.
Why not?
Like, like Cyberpunk 2.
Couldn't you even see like a futuristic open world game like that where you throw in a
portal gun?
All of a sudden the sky's the limit.
I would love to see the use of portal guns in more and more games.
Oh, absolutely. I will say this in regards to Splitgate. It's free to see the use of portal guns in more and more games. Oh, absolutely. I will say
this in regards to split gate. It's free by the way. I don't know if we mentioned that, but it's
a free to play game and on the split gate to official website, it does mention that split
gate two will be free to play as well. Give this a try. If you haven't picked it up, it's,
it's incredible, man. I mean, especially if you you got some buddies to play with i don't know what the online community is like how active it is for this game
because split the gate's been out for a while now but if you want some fun in a different way
or at least get an idea of what's coming like that's a good way to find out because
there's definitely something special about it yeah these free to play has been awesome
there's been a lot of really really really really good free to play has been awesome there's been a lot of really really really really
good free to play games especially if you're like a uh 40 ish gamer like me where your reflexes
aren't as great as the young kids on the block split gate gives you that chance to play a little
bit more with angles and your brain and learning the maps and where are the portals and where should I stand and what can I lock down.
And to me, I'm the kind of guy that when I hop in Call of Duty or X-Defiant,
like my kill to death ratios aren't very good.
There's something about Splitgate 1 that really clicked for me where I could finish those matches
at the top of the leaderboard.
And something just really clicks with me with using the portals and the guns.
And it's
just the perfect marriage at least for me for what I want in a shooter all right well I think that
