Disney's event D23 is happening, and with it we got more info on Kingdom Hearts 4. PlayStation Plus might be having its best month ever for games offered. We've got that and lots of other gaming updates to talk about. But before we get to the fun, some introductions are in order. I am your host Josh, and joining me, he's signed up for Netflix. and is anxiously awaiting the next trailer for GTA 6, just so he can not watch it, since he said he doesn't care about seeing a trailer for it at all.

It's Ryan. I don't need nothing. I'm going to buy this game 10 times over and play it 10 times over. I don't need it, man. So you're not going to watch a trailer? I don't even need it. I mean, I'm going to watch it. I want the ironclad, Ryan guaranteed that you will not watch this newest trailer, Ryan.

why would I not watch it? I already have Netflix. By the way, who doesn't have Netflix? Who doesn't have Netflix? You don't need to watch the trailer. You have full faith with no trailers. Like,

the trailer's going to do nothing for you, Ryan. Yes, that's true. There's a lot of things that I don't need that I, that I do. I knew it.

I knew you wanted to see a trailer. Roll the footage, where he said he doesn't need to be gameplay. I don't need any gameplay. I'll tell you that. much. I got to find that B-roll, are you making pottery with Rockstock? Yeah, there you go. Exactly. Yeah. And joining us, he's already planning his next Kingdom Hearts tattoo. And I'm pretty sure I heard him scream like a little girl when they showed off all the latest Kingdom Hearts news. It's A's. I was definitely like screaming into the void of our group chat when I got all that news. I heard nothing. Nothing for like two days. Josh and I were like, oh, cool.

Exactly. There's a cartoon now. There's a cartoon they're making into a video game. Cool. That's neat. Yeah, well, kingdom hearts. I remember Lion King back in the day. I remember when I was five.

Good to see. They're still doing this. Yeah. I know. I remember being a kid and wanting my cartoons turn into video games too. The internet and like half our Discord eviscerates you both. I'm pretty sure there's like three people in our Discord that like are like King Heart stands like you are.

Yeah, but we're strong. They'll all be like... Our friends are our power. They'll all be like 23 to like 29 is like the age group. Yeah. Very, very narrow window of people that are like, kingdom hearts, yay! Everybody else is like, finally! It's just a cartoon.

It's a cartoon, guys. Like, you, you, you, it's a cartoon. Wait, you're Donald Duck. What? Yeah. Also, Donald Duck as a voice actor is terrible because, you know, he had voice lines in this trailer that we're going to talk about. and then he's just Donald Duck in it

and I'm like bro, if there's a character that's harder to understand Yeah, I know. Hey, that's why he's always got the subtitles. Yeah, that's one. I shouldn't need subtitles to understand what people are saying if it's good voice acting either.

We got to talk about the GTA 6 trailer that's coming to Netflix. There's been some hubbub about locking a trailer behind a paywall.

We got a much more in-depth look at Marvel's Wolverine game that's coming out soon. We got Kingdom Hearts News that I guess a few people in the world care about. Billion dollar franchise, by the way. We'll have to talk about that. we got Tides of Annihilation. Now, Ace, you drafted this game. Yep. There is a tiny, tiny chance that this game still releases this year.

There's no way. Maybe. There's no way. I just wanted to get your hopes of it. There's no way. They have to re-dub the entire English version. I know. I know.

Yeah. So, but we saw 50 minutes of Tides of Annihilation gameplay. Oh my goodness. We're going to be talking about that. We have light. No fire news, people. After we were just talking about this game on our most wish list of games and then we're saying there's been no news. Well, there's finally news about light, no fire.

And then if we have time, there's some PlayStation Plus games that are coming out, but I don't think we're going to have time for that. And before we get into all that, as a quick reminder, Mortal Shell 2 is releasing on August 20th. That's just around the corner. So if you're looking for a good Soulslike game, Mortal Shell 2 is about to release. Okay. Let's talk GTA 6, boys. Oh, boy. Oh, yes.

We have not recorded. I don't know if I should give any kind of info yet. I just want to know, are you excited for GTA 6? No. Okay. I didn't think so. That's fine. I was honestly the honest answer I could tell.

And I was like, let's see if Ace is going to lie or not. So I don't even know what to... Ryan is reeling right now. I'm not. I don't understand how... You're literally playing DTA 5 now. You've played it for probably 15, 20 hours. And how on earth could you not be excited for DTA 6, dude?

Especially after everything you've seen. Well, Ryan, it's because they're locking the trailer behind a paywall. Yeah. You can't see the next trailer. That's the first thing I don't really care about, but I think it's really weird to pay for six hours of exclusivity. That's a very strange choice. Because everybody's talking about it like

us and then it's just going to keep drumming up more attention. Yeah, but how much do you think Netflix paid for that? Just like six hours to have a trailer. Let's do this. Over under on views for the Netflix trailer. Not YouTube, but just how many millions of people do you think are

going to watch this GTA6 trailer slash news event on Netflix? I'm going to say under 3 million. because I don't think 60 million I think it's probably going to be 4 or 5 million people I don't I don't know man Netflix's servers can't handle that many people

Yeah They can barely handle that fight with Jake Paul And Mike Tyson Yeah Oh no So all right so here's the news for people that aren't aware So you know we've all been clamoring for another trailer for GTA 6 I got eviscerated by the internet

Because I said that we have not seen any gameplay You both kind of got eviscerated Bought in the world and Joe Schmoe out there was like We've seen gameplay It's called Trailer 2 And then I rewatch trailer 2 And I'm like guys there's no gameplay here

And then like oh it's gameplay But it's taken from a cinematic camera angle So that it looks like it's an in-game In-game cinematic But it's really just gameplay And I'm like Oh my gosh, you people are idiots I want to see what the game actually plays like

And so we are supposed going to see that on August 27th, which is right around the corner, because this is the big GTA6 event where they are going to showcase the game with a trailer and a lot of stuff. And they're making a big to do about this. But they're doing it on Netflix, which the internet is not happy about. probably because if they get a live premiere of this trailer on YouTube, the comments would just be full of no disc, no buy, no disc, no buy. A million times open. Like, I'm not doing that.

No, no Netflix, no buy? Is that what this is? Like, I mean, you can't leave comments on Netflix. Here, listen to this. This is based, this is purely based on insider speculation and a quick Google, but social media reports place the value of the deal for Netflix to host this for the extra six hours of exclusivity around $100 million.

That's bananas. That's insane if that's true. There are people who can't put gas in their car. They're spending that money for Netflix for six hours. Six hours. Okay, so to clarify, you can watch this on Netflix when it happens live. It's just to leak immediately. It will hit YouTube six hours after the Netflix exclusivity.

So Netflix paid for this to be available on Netflix six hours before it hits YouTube Because once it hits YouTube the whole world can watch it Yep You don't gonna wait for six hours Someone's gonna leak it Oh yeah it'll be Of course they're gonna leak it It's immediately gonna get screen capped and thrown onto Twitter

I saw the full I didn't watch it because I don't want to do it like this But I saw Spider-Man Brady Oh yeah I've seen it a few times Full movie on X the other day dude And I scrub through because I was like there's no way this is full movie And it was the full movie. And I was just like, oh my gosh.

When I went and saw that, I saw a dude walking in with a phone like on a tripod and he like sat it down like a few rows down. Isn't it crazy? I just get away with that. Nobody cares. Nobody cares. What a time to be alive. So this is the official title of this is it is an extended look presentation for GTA 6 Thursday, August 27th at 3 p.m. Eastern. So mark your calendars, people.

I know I'll be watching because this is going to be exciting. We don't have specifics on the presentation itself, but it's assumed that this will get, this will be the first, like, real proper look at GTA6 gameplay. How long do you think it'll be? Huh? How long do you think it'll be 30 minutes? Like, if I had to guess,

I'm going to say 30 minutes of whatever it is. 30 minutes for six hours, exclusivity. For a lot of millions, allegedly. Anyway, I mean, there's people that are upset. If you don't have Netflix, you're like, well, this is stupid. They're gating trailers. now, like, what's the world coming to, which I kind of get it.

It's a bad precedent to set, I will say. I don't think it's something you should do. Like, that'd be like if they locked that massive Kingdom Hearts panel that they showed for free on YouTube, behind Disney Plus. And you had to have Disney Plus. Yeah, I know, which would be. It's just weird. I mean, six hours. What's the, what's the time?

You know, five million people watching. It was a lot of people watching. Massive. I'm just trolling. I'm just, I can't help it. All right. All right. So there you go.

August 27. 3 p.m. Eastern. Set your calendars, set your reminders. We're finally, hopefully going to get a look at what GTA 6 is actually going to look like. I am very curious. This is the thing that I was saying I wanted. My hype level might rival Ryan's

if what we see is truly, truly I want the next game. This is the game ever. I'm type for. Marvel Wolverine. We got a big look at this at the D-23 showcase. Insomniac games showed off Marvel

Wolverine with a more in-depth look at the game. I think we got like eight minutes of gameplay on this one that we hadn't seen before. The game's set to release September 15th, so less than a month away. We're going to have Wolverine. Ryan, you're bouncing up and down on this one. What did you think? Dude, I am, I've been waiting for this one for a while. I know a lot of people in our Discord of as well.

if there's one thing insomniac can do it's like make an awesome superhero game and so if it's just like 60% 70% of some of the other stuff with the wolverine IP like i'm i'm all for it i think it's going to have awesome combat awesome movements good chaining abilities like all of the stuff you look for and and and you want in like in that type of game it's going to have it and I don't have any doubt that it's going to deliver. I'm so stoked for this one dude. I've been waiting for it for a while and it's it's going to be good. What do you think about like the performative outrage people have about it or they're just

like all it is is walk forward simulator. It's like. You're so well. Yeah, I'm going to walk forward and chop dudes in half with my claws. Like I keep seeing this video where they're playing the gameplay footage for Wolverine right. And this guy's got his controller. He's just got it forward. He's pushing forward on the stuff.

while the gameplay plays. These people are rage baiters, dude. What was the other game where they were just... No, they did that in 007. Yeah, exactly. It was mixed tape as well. Mixed tape, they just let it play. They just, yeah, and then 007 was the dump truck or whatever,

the garbage truck. Yeah. Oh, look, I just hold forward. And it's like, okay, whatever. Dude, you're playing a video game already. Just get into the world. I do you have to wonder if you, like, enjoy video games at that point. Or if you just enjoy being miserable.

Some people just want to just be... Because I think. this looks high. I think this looks awesome. Dude. I also love that we have something coming from Ace, dude, because this is a AAA game. I also, I love that we have comic accurate, like, size Wolverine. Like, he's small compared to

anyone else. And then Sabretooth's freaking huge. Giant. Yep. I love it. I, guys. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. Well, he didn't like Spider-Man. No, that's true. Yeah. He didn't like him. I didn't like him. I didn't I wouldn't say this often, but you could just stop listening now for like five minutes.

I don't, I'm torn on this one, guys, because like I drafted this game to be game of the year in my game of the year list. It's like, it's like one of the last remaining hopes that I have for, for why, you know, having a game that gets this one. Right? Didn't I draft? No, this is Ryan's. Oh, that's Ryan's. I was thinking, 007. That's what that's one.

Yeah, no. So I hope it flops because it's Ryan's game. Ryan. I'm just kidding. Ryan got this one. I'm kidding. I will say this. I have this odd pit in my stomach that makes me think that the gameplay for Wolverine is going to get repetitive very quickly.

Like, it is a spectacle. I freaking love Wolverine. I think the game did an amazing job showcasing his brutality. We have seen, and here's why I say this, because I watched about four or five different people that got to play the preview event where they actually got their hands on the game. and almost all of them came away with the same take. And it just worries me a little bit that they said, hey, this is an incredible looking AAA title. It's true to Wolverine.

It's brutal. It's linear. And yet at the same time, it's already starting to feel a little repetitive with the actual gameplay part. Now, you know, part of that was is that they prefaced this by saying, I didn't get to play late game. There are skill trees. There are ability upgrades and things like that.

I played Spider-Man at Ryan's request, and within four hours of Spider-Man, the combat started to just feel routine to me, man. It's that whole, like, mash a bunch of buttons, parry the guy when the thing flashes on your screen, bounce around, mash more buttons, you know? Like, there's really no depth to the combat in Insomniac's games. While it's flashing, it's super fun, and I'm not saying, like, I'm not doom saying here. I'm just saying I have this weird pit. in my stomach that is saying like I worry that Wolverine is going to be all flash and not as much

substance as I think people are hoping for and that worries me just a little bit. Did you, did you have an issue like with like Arkham Knight? Like the combat is all generally the same. It's all starting to, that's my point, right? And when Arkham see, because they call it the Arkham style combat, right? Where it's like, oh, okay. Well, when Arkham Knight did it, that was new. And it was like, oh, this is neat.

But it's like, we've seen it so many times now where it's all, and it all feels the same to me. Like, I could literally close my eyes and it all feels the same, whether it's Spider-Man or Lego Batman at this point or the Arkham games. And now I'm worried that it's going to be Wolverine. And they even showed it in the showcase where they're like, but Perry, you have to Perry, you know? And it's like, this is a Perry-based combat. And they're showing Wolverine Perry and blows and stuff. And I'm like, and it's insomniac. So this is what they do with Spider-Man.

And I'm just, I'm not trying to naysay, but it is a concern that I have after seeing like much more of the game in these preview events where I'm like, is this going to be all flashy graphics and then gore for Wolverine? And then three hours in, you're going to be like, bro, this combat is just feeling stale already. And it's a linear game, which I'm okay with it being linear, but I think that that will only exacerbate. If the combat is repetitive, I think that linear, that linearness is going to. showcase that the combat is not as in depth as I think we're hoping for. Maybe I'm wrong. I hope I'm wrong. I'm just hopeful. It's got a strong story as well. Something that kind of help. Now, I did see this thing where the, the guy that's responsible for the story,

I can't remember his name, but he's actually like an industry renowned guy that has made multiple incredible stories for games. I'm sorry the name's escaping me. But it was one where it was like, this guy was directly responsible for the story in Wolverine. And they're were like this boat's really really well for that aspect of the game. Yeah. So I don't know, man. I, maybe I'm just trying to like subconsciously like quell my hype for this, but I do. You have burning on your, on your, on your, on your, on your, on your, on your, on your, on your

heartstone. Like, come on. Oh my gosh, you read it in. Yeah, I did rat him out. And you're, and you're going to try to talk about combat getting. Oh. What happens in the pre show stays in the pre show. No.

That was. No. I confided. You're totally Ratted him out. Wow. All because I said that I have concerns for the combat.

I have concerns the combat's not going to Because you didn't like Spider-Man either and I still take a... I took that personally. I like Spider-Man. I just found the combat got really boring, really fast. Like the game itself seems incredible. Like flying around the city, swinging around,

that's incredible. It's awesome. Unreal. The fighting 500 enemies with the exact same buttons over and over again because there's no depth to the combat at all. I liked the first Spirman. I haven't played the second one yet.

Yeah. I have it. All right. I haven't gotten to it. We got to take a quick break while I lose all trust in Ryan over this commercial break. So enjoy these ads people because they might be the last ones you ever hear. Oh.

Well, we have a game for you. No substance, my butt. What are you on a lot? Do you want a narrative driven masterpiece toys by Donald Duck? 25 years. It is Kingdom Hearts 25th anniversary. This is the fourth game in the mainline series

that we've been waiting five years to hear anything about. And now we've got... Cool, bro. What's the deal with the key, man? Like, what's the deal with the key? The key is used to unlock hearts and defeat the heartless. Like, what's complicated about any of this? It's the only...

What's complicated about it? What's complicated about Donald Duck being the most powerful being in the universe? Yeah, Ryan. Duh. Duh. idiots. You were just complaining about Arkham style combat and guess what?

Kingdom Hearts does not have Arkham style combat. It has some... What's complicated, Ryan, about Disney characters mingling with Final Fantasy characters and now Coco? It's easy enough for people who understand in 2001. Dude, seeing everybody goes so

crazy on the internet, though it was cracking me up because it's, it did give me like that old man like What are these little young idiots? Kingdom Hearts gives people hope, man. Just seeing it gives you hope because of how it makes you feel. Hope for what? Hope for what?

Hope for what? Hope. What is the hope for? I'm sorry, you don't know what the feeling of hope is. But you need hope to because there has to be a fear of something bad happening. So like then you have hope. Yeah, the fear is nothing bad is no more kingdom hearts. Hearing that there's going to be kingdom hearts after five years of silence.

Let me ask you a question, Ace. Can you think of a more money-hungry, grubby corporation than Disney? Amazon. Okay, that's fair. But you'd say they're fairly tied, right? Like, they're close. You've always had hope that Disney will try to get money from people. Disney's been ignoring Kingdom Hearts for the better part of like a decade.

And now suddenly, now that it's officially a billion dollar franchise, now they give a darn. It's because they've been bleeding Star Wars dry. And then there's like, oh, well, this one's tapped out. Let's go to the next. Speaking. All right. That's the exciting part now. Because Disney owns Star Wars, because Disney owns Marvel, these are possibilities that we

can see these kind of universes enter the world of kingdom arms. I'm going to see Luke Skywalker with a giant key. Yeah. Are you kidding me? Oh, my God. No, what you're going to see is Donald Duck kicking Luke Skywalker's butt somehow, some way in this game. Dude, everybody's going to lose their minds.

If they have Donald Duck and Vader going at it and then Donald Duck just walks Dogwads Vader Darth Donald? Dude, and he turns to the dark side and then, okay, I might be in. I might be back in. Well, they already had Darkwing Duck. That's the way this game goes.

Okay, if they bring Darkwing Duck in, then I'm in. That's possible. Well, let's just talk about what the game actually showed in the trailer, which is it showed the world of Coco, and it looks almost indistinguishable from the movie. It looks really good, dude.

That, as somebody that likes good graphics, that looked real good. This is your call to arms, by the way. want to get caught up on Kingdom Hearts, it's $30 for the complete collection on Steam. And you've got not much time left because they confirm this game is coming late 2027.

100% guarantee no stop. Which I will say I love that. I love that you don't have to wait four years, seven years, eight years, or something. Like, I hate these crazy announcements. I love

as, you know, I mean, Bethesda with Elder Scrolls is horrible. but with the oblivion, like shadow drop was really cool. It's cool to just get something like, hey guys, we're doing this. And then you get it within, you know, a certain amount of time that's like close. I mean,

how long have you been waiting for Grand Theft Auto 6? Like, GTA 5 dropped on the PlayStation 3. Yeah? Yeah, dude. So, yeah, both of those. GTA 5 and Elder Scrolls, I waited outside of Best Buy for my, for my Xbox 360 or PS3 or whatever.

And they both waited until the year they were going to actually drop the game to actually give you a release date. Although Grand The Vado has been pushing itself back a ton. Yeah, tell me about it. I've drafted it every year. Well, you're finally going to get it. You're finally going to get it.

So, Kingdom Hearts 4. Yeah. I will say this. Like, I watch the extended trailers. I watch the gameplay. It looks like a pretty fun video game. Like, I will give it that. It's just fun.

Absolutely nothing about Kingdom Hearts. The gameplay does look fun. You know, you're getting, you know, these sequences where the world, know, the characters are sliding down cliffs in a world and stuff like that, you know. Josh is trying so hard. He's trying so hard to save face. I know.

I'm glad people are excited for this, man. I'm glad I'm happy for you. I'm happy you're happy, people. Yeah. That's what I think. I can't show it because of where I'm sitting, but I have a massive Kingdom Arch tattoo on my arm that me and my spouse have matching ones. And I'm beyond hyped for this. And the anime series they announced also.

Oh. There you go. Yeah. Yeah. Wouldn't it just be a cartoon series? No, because Kingdom Hearts is the Japanese IP. But it's cartoons. It's Disney.

It's still anime. Are you saying that like Disney cartoons or anime? Donald's anime now? Yeah, are you saying Donald and Mickey? That's all in it. Japanese animation is still a cartoon. Yeah, but there are a certain style of cartoons. Like when I hear anime, I don't think Disney characters, you know.

Ace, we never argue semantics. I don't know. I know. I know. We've never argued semantics in the show. I know. So there you go. Rejoice Kingdom Hearts fans.

We're very happy for you. Like Ryan said, if you're from age 2029. Rejoice in knowing these two knuckleheads wouldn't have brought it up if I wasn't on this show. So. Probably not. You know why? Because we want to talk about a game. We want to talk about a game that really looks incredible.

It does. That is a game called Tides of Annihilation. From the moment we saw the first trailer for this game, our jaws hit the floor. We went, there's no way this game is real. This is like a fake trailer, you know, something like that. Well, it turns out Tides of Annihilation is real. And then we finally got a look at what the actual game is on this.

We got 50 minutes of gameplay for Tides of Annihilation that just kind of weirdly shadow dropped. Like there was not much hubbub about this. and like a lot of people. It was apparently a playable demo at a con in like China. And then it just shadowed dropped on the internet. The big thing is it's coming to Gamescom with a playable demo. And that we know, which is a gamescom is right around the corner as well. I, bro, I'm blown away.

Like, this game looks incredible. Number one, I'm a huge fan of Arthurian legend. So if you like mythology and Arthurian legend, there's that angle on this. then there's the combat and the animations and the world exploration and this game looks like it has it all ace you drafted this game i did because i thought which i'm still bitter about but i don't think it's coming out this year so i'm i'm a little less bitter but yeah you can thank jennifer english for screwing me over on that one yeah what do you i mean you watch this 50 minutes of footage what like what excites you about it what is it about tides of

annihilation that is just blowing all of us away i mean tides annihilation is just this mix of devil may cry final fantasy a little bit of that elder ring flare to it but it's not a souls like it's an action RPG and you summon the knights from the roundtable to fight as your weapon instead of fighting directly and i think that's sick because that reminds me of ender lilies this is basically an ht ender lilies with arthurian legend that died around it i the combos the freaking boss fights where you were fighting in the reflection of the water was one of the coolest things i'd ever seen in a game, like, genuinely. It just looks unreal. It doesn't look like a game that actually exists. It looks like a movie. That's what we like definitely noticed is it's one thing when

you see these crazy cinematics and stuff, but like we're also watching the gameplay where it's it looks like crisp, beautiful movement in this amazing world. Not a stutter. Not a stutter. Like it is set up, the combos, the attacks, the

the uh, cinematics and the explosions. Like all of it all came together where you're like, oh, okay, this, this looks like it's something for real. And the fact they're showing us this,

you know, this isn't the best of the best. You know, this is just, yeah, there's more, there's more there to uncover. So that's,

that's very, very encouraging. I'm stoked. Yeah. If only it was coming out this year, but no. It was supposed to, but no.

Tides of annihilation is legitimately one of my most anticipated games. You've been on this one for a while. I love these style of games. I get a little bit of Expedition 33 vibes from the way that they present the world and the fantasy aspect and stuff like that. Again, the combat looks, I got like Blackmouth Wu Kong from some of the combat. It's a bit. A little first ascendant.

A little bit, too. Yeah, I mean, it's absolutely going to be like a button masher type combat game. this is not Dark Souls Combat. No, it's not a Souls like. But my goodness, dude, if you haven't seen a Tides of Annihilation trailer, you got to watch one because this game looks fantastic. And I like that they showcased a lot of like the traversal and just exploring the world too to kind of show you what like that part of the game is going to be.

Yeah, it's not all action 24-7. Oh my goodness, dude. These boss fights are insane. The animation's insane. The, you know, there's obviously upgrades because they show you finding gear and stuff like that throughout the playtime. and they don't really showcase the gear very much. But I was in on this game before and after seeing 50 minutes of gameplay,

because that's one of the things we always say, right? If you're not scared of your game, show us. Yeah. Show us, like, you know, show us what it's about. And they went, fine, here you go. And then I left going like, oh my gosh, show me more. You know, because it's just, it looks that good, dude. So.

I can't wait to snake it from you again next year. No way. No way. I can tell you, no way. Oh, I'm bidding that up. And then, oh, yeah. Yeah. Seriously, people, if you have not seen a Tides of Annihilation trailer, you need to watch this.

This, like, and we say, I say this a lot, but like, this feels like next gen to me. Like, this is, this is the kind of game where I go, it's 2026 people. This is what a game should look like. And this is what a game should play like in 2026. I'm going to say something crazy because I just got done saying that I have some concerns of Wolverine. I think Tides of Annihilation is going to blow Wolverine out of Wolverine out of the water, dude. Out of the water. As far as combat? That's what I mean. What's that? Just as far as combat, like retention?

Yeah, like just as the game in general. Like, as a whole, I think Tides of Annihilation showcases way more, like ingenuity. You think they're on the same level? No, I don't even think they're on the same level. I'm right there with you. I think that Tides of Anilation is here and Wolverine is down here. You guys are crazy. That's my point. That's the point that I was trying to make is like, I have some concerns of Wolverine because when you look at a game like Tides of Annihilation and you go, bro, this is what a game in 27, because let's be honest, it's not going to release this. It's not going to be sure. It should look like.

And then you have Wolverine, which looks very, very fancy and awesome. But then when you watch the gameplay, you kind of go, huh. And that's what, maybe it's just that I watch these trailers like back to back, which is why I went, man, I kind of worried about Wolverine a little bit now. But maybe it's just because Tides of Anilation looks so freaking good that it made Wolverine look bad in comparison, you know? Which is saying something, man. Yeah.

Fair enough, man. All right. And then, oh, boy. Here we go. Oh, boy, oh boy. We got news on light, no fire. Finally. The game that is the most anticipated game I can possibly imagine maybe next to

Galactic Racer, but if I knew Light No Fire was coming out, it would actually be above Galactic Racer for me at this point. I don't know that there's another game that could come out that would make me more excited than Light No Fire, to be honest. After two years, because we were just talking about this, if you haven't listened to our top 10 most wishlisted games, go listen to that episode because Light No Fire is number two. It is the second most wishlisted game in the world right now. And we have heard Didly Freakin' Squat about this game.

Except for a little interview that happened where they, were interviewing Sean Murray he was talking with Kotaku and they kind of went bro what's up with light no fire why no why no information it's been two years you drop this trailer and Sean Murray being the

much wiser guy than he was when no man sky was about to release basically said we have we have stuff ready like we did not expect to drop this trailer and then just disappear for two years. He said that was not our plan. And he said, but when we

dropped the trailer, the response to that trailer, light and no fire, shot up to number two most wishlisted game in the world. And he went, we don't need to do anything else. Yeah. Like, when your game becomes the second most wishlisted game on planet Earth,

you don't really need to hype your game up anymore. Don't have to do any marketing at that point. You've already gotten everyone's attention. But this is kind of genius, even though I hate this, right? Because I'm just, I just got done trolling GTA 6 about where's the trailers? Show me them trailers, man. You know what I mean?

Like, show me the trailers. And then we've got light, no fire. And they're like, well, we're not showing you the trailers. And then it's like, okay. But like, I want to see more. But Sean Murray basically came out and said, we didn't need to do this. We did not expect this. We actually have more to show.

It's ready. Like, we, there are, like, we thought we, we, we thought we, we'd drop this teaser and then we would come back like maybe a few months later and then drop more content for this game and he's like we have that ready to go but there's like we don't need to market it at this point like the only thing you

could do is is maybe disappoint people if you showcase something like I don't think that's the case but like yeah I don't think that'll happen it's almost at that point where uh you know no news is good news it's just like they're grinding they're knocking it out

they're getting everything fine-tuned and ready for launch and it's going to come out you know gangbusters and do well I'm very very excited for this now Josh if if they don't release any gameplay

before launch of this game would you still buy it day one we already have game play no because that's just stupid I guess like any more I said we already have gameplay footage yeah and the trailer that they showed off was all gameplay at that point I think the next time we

see a trailer, it will be the release date trailer. Probably so. Yeah. I feel like that might be the case. I do like hearing that they had all of this like trailers and stuff ready to rock to kind of showcase this game. And then they kind of went, we don't need to do that because, you know, now here's here's the other nice thing. Like when they do showcase it like and I'm hoping like with Gamescom coming up like I would really love to think that it's been two years now. That'd be nice. That they would showcase something. But I think. the world's probably going to lose its mind again, you know, and this is a really good marketing strategy. This is the like anti-marketing strategy at this point where it's like, dude, we can drop a couple things. People are going to love it and they're going to gobble this game up. I will say one last thing on this. This is a guy that got beat down by overpromising things, you know, and he said in this interview that his exact words where I don't think people realize just how ambitious it is and how crazy it is. forward to people finding that out and to showing them. This man has been... For the guy that got in trouble for promising the world with No Man Sky and then spent the next decade making No Man Sky in the insane game that it is, when he comes out and says, I don't think people realize how ambitious this is, that gets me really excited too.

Especially going from where I played No Man Sky on launch and sold the game immediately and then because I had a hard copy and then I played it within the last few months. and it's a completely different game. So to see what they can do, you know, it's exciting. You know, it's, you know, people learn from their mistakes, hopefully. And I think that they're going to just hit a bang around this one, dude. It's going to be so good. I mean, he's been serving penance for 10 years. Right.

You're out, dude. Yeah. He did say they're working on light, no fire. He said, we've got our heads down. We're just, he said, the nice thing is because we don't have to focus on marketing, we can just focus on the game at this point, which is something that most developers don't get to do. You have to split your attention and stuff like that.

So, yeah, keep cooking. Keep cooking, guys. Hello games. Let them cook. Yeah. Let them cook. Yeah, do your thing. But also give us a, come on, man.

Come on, man. Just give me a little, just give me a little taste, John. We don't need a little. Just give me a little teaser. We don't need it. We don't need it. You keep working. You keep working.

So PlayStation Plus is putting out some bangers this month, people. Hell Divers 2. I've been playing Hell Divers 2 again with people in our community.

I've played two nights now. It's a blast. It's a completely different game than I remember as far as what I remember. But the gameplay is still super fun. This is the best time to jump into Hell Divers 2. And I can tell you that we have brand new people that have never played it before. our community is actually playing it. And so if you want people to experience Hell Divers 2 with,

we have people that are playing it. I played with them myself. So this is not, you know, this is actually going down. Pick up Hell Divers 2, play with people. It's fantastic if you miss the initial release on that. Now is your time. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. One, I mean, one of the best games that's released lately, in my opinion.

That game is freaking phenomenal. So don't miss out on that. Here's your chance to play that. Vampire Survivors. Hell is Us and Metro Exodus amongst others hitting PlayStation Plus this month. It is a loaded month. So if you're a PlayStation person, make sure you check out some of those games as well. And then as a quick reminder, Gamescom is coming.
