It's going to be a quick trip today. I'm not going to be doing a whole lot here. I'm actually just coming in because this is the beginning of Magic Key Month, and there are a couple of specials available to Magic Key holders that I really wish to pick up especially for

So we're coming through real quick just to grab a couple things and I'm just going to let you enjoy the sounds of early morning wandering through downtown Disney at 8 30 in the morning. It is a warm day. We're looking at about 80 degrees is our high. I know you have! This early on a Monday morning, most of the shops and restaurants aren't open yet. You can hear some of the penny crews walking around just cleaning up the tables. Plenty of guests making their way towards the entrance. I'm going to go to San Diego. San Diego. San Diego.

It means I'm getting very close to the entrance gates and I am leaving downtown Disney.

I'm pleased to say as I approach the entrance here at the DCA that the gates at Disneyland are moderately crowded, but there is no line at all to enter Disney California Adventure. Thank you. Hello. Hello. Good morning. Thank you, sir. Thank you. Just like that, I'm through the magical gates of Disney California Adventure. So as I said, I don't have any major plans for today.

Starting point is 00:07:59 I'm just going to be coming in to get a couple of Magic Key elements. So while I'm here, I'm just going to let you soak in the noises and the sounds as I walk down Buena Vista Street. And I'm going to make my way quickly through Hollywoodland, maybe about through Avengers Campus, and then take you over to perhaps Pixar Pier.

Starting point is 00:08:24 We'll see if the time allows for it today. Thank you. You can smell the wonderful caramel corn getting made here at the Charlie Candy Treats. delicious Turn past Carthay Circle here and we enter Hollywoodland, you may feel that subtle shift in the sound as it started to sound like it was coming from a stereo. And that is because we were walking past the Disney Theater, which used to be Radio Disney, is now home to the disney junior dance party and it gives that nice kind of sound like you're just outside the radio station I have to say, I know I'm here early, but there is no crowd at all here today. This is one of the lightest fields I've had in this park in a very, very long time. And because of that, there is no wait at all for Mike and Sully to the rescue, Monsters, Inc. ride.

Starting point is 00:11:21 So I'm going to take you on over there there and we think we're a a whopping 5 minute wait. So I'm going to walk on in. It's a classic simple dark ride but it is so much fun. It's just hard not to enjoy it. Do you think there's a piyaki? If you're planning a special meeting for two, here's what you should do. Starting point is 00:20:10 world of Pixar behind and entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thank you. Well, there's all your crowds, even at this hour. The adventure with the Guardians of the Galaxy at Tavon's Tower is already a 45 minute wait as I actually enter the Avengers campus proper here we have the Wasp

Starting point is 00:21:43 and Captain Marvel up on the Avengers building. If you've not had the opportunity to visit this land it is something special. It's small but it is special. It can be a little challenging on a warm day because there's very little shade, but the details are truly exceptional. You'll find in here, for example, at Pim's Test Christmas lights that have been in the beginning And inside you can actually see The pretzels being affected by the tunnel. Starting point is 00:23:55 I'm walking past the trauma palace here as I approach Spider-Man's web slingers. It has quite the crowd as well, but still standby is only 45, which is not terrible for that ride. I don't have enough time today to hang out in that line, so I something I want to share. I'm going to be, obviously, it will not come across very well in a podcast, but I'm going to include this for our intrepid producer, Josh, so he can include this in the photos that we post later. Right here, you will notice there is a gamma radiation leak coming out of the side of the building.

Starting point is 00:25:11 And that gamma radiation leak has created a Hulk tree. It's the attention to details, Mike's. Our Disney experience is so special, isn't it, fellow travelers? Looks like Spider-Man may have just finished his flying through the air with the greatest of care and is doing some photo opportunities with guests right now. There's a little Miles Morales here in line to get a picture with him. Hey there Spidey! And now I'm going to walk around the corner here and see if I can pick up that Magic Key special that is supposed to be available right outside the gates of Rangers Campus as we get peak music as we go across the arc reactor. Well, that's disconcerting. I see the table set up, but I don't see the goods. Looks like perhaps my whole reason for coming is for not. I'm going to have to try to find a cast member and find out.

Starting point is 00:28:10 Since we have this opportunity here, maybe I'll do a quick wander through Cars Land. Well, I chatted with a cast member and got some unfortunate news. Apparently, those items are only available late in the day. So I came in early to make sure that I got one for nothing. But my loss is your gain, travelers. As I wander through Cars Land, you'll get a little extra of the park today. um Looks like Lightning McQueen is out for some photo ops for everyone. Flo's got the great 50s and 60s rock jamming out. I heard the much-anticipated coming in See the cool side But you're rocking You're holding You're rocking

Starting point is 00:30:14 Oh, oh I'm turning the bend here, going past Ramones, and between that and Flows, I'm heading past Radiator Spin Racers. Unfortunately, again, that's always a long line, and quite frankly, I just don't have the time to ride that today. As I said, this is a quick trip. As you hear a couple of the racers go flying by. It is quite the warm day here in the parks. I'm glad I'm not staying long because I am not a fan of the heat. Sorry for our Floridian listeners. Just not quite my thing. Now I turn that corner out of Cars Land and enter the Pacific Wharf, which at this hour is going to be extremely quiet because it is basically just for eating. Over here we do have the Lucky Fortune, which is a Chinese food. We do have the Mexican restaurant, Cocina Pucamanga.

Starting point is 00:32:35 And, of course, the Pacific Wharf Cafe, where you get the amazing boudin sourdough bread from San Francisco. All closed at this hour. So it is very quiet.
