Hello travelers, welcome back to Walk About the World in O'Ellingott-e-Kamehi. I see you.
Greetings from the Valley of Mo'ara here in Disney's Animal Kingdom. We're off planet. We
entered through Disney's Animal Kingdom. We're off planet right now in the Valley
of Malara. One of our lovely patrons, Eric Atuso. Eric, can I say you're lovely?
He said, hey, can you capture some of the ambience and
details around Pandora, the world of Avatar? And yes, yes we can. If you could
dream it, we can do it. So here we are. We are at the entrance to the Valley of
Moir here. Welcome to Pandora, the sign says.
And we're going to slowly proceed. We're going to take in some of the sights, a lot of the sounds.
This is going to be a relaxing one, y'all. Kick back, pour a beverage of your choice, and come with me. Currently standing next to the big oozing, weeping, foaming tree, plant thing.
It's really cool, but I have no idea what the name of it is.
And there is a stream here that you could not distinguish from a real stream in the
wild. We're going to pause here a minute. So the path and entrance into the Valley of Moara is behind us.
Oh, hey there. Looking forward into dense, lush forest stream coming down out of the mountains in front of us. Rocky stream, stones on either side, the water is gently flowing. Yeah. As you follow this stream further on down the valley,
you come to the wreck of an aircraft hidden in the jungle.
You see that off to your right. 100 years ago or so during the original time of the story of Jake.
This is one of the crashed aircraft of the RDA, their security force, the Resource Development
Administration.
Forgive me.
The company that was mining Unobtanium.
This is one of their defense copters that fell.
Now this entire area is a symbol of cooperation
between the Navi and humans,
allowing pieces of this to be restored
to its natural jungle habitat,
and allowing places for the humans and the Navi to come together, share some of their culture.
Let's proceed. We're going to follow the stream.
Hi there, Explorers. We're obviously not doing a dub by the way.
Can you find it? Come on in birthday girl.
We're on page 11. Hi there explorers, we're obviously hunting a dog by the way. Can you find it?
Come on in birthday girl, we're on page 11.
And then you're mom. The stream is to our right now.
We're following the path on down into the valley up ahead of us.
Far in the distance you will see the floating mountains. But here it's lush jungle, colorful plants,
greens, oranges, reds, and then tucked away in the jungle to our right is the
copter that I mentioned.
Here we have a fork in the road.
We can go to the right which leads further down immediately into the valley towards the
floating mountains or over to the left where it's a more circuitous route and leads down
around past the long way. Beautiful bustling day here in Pandora. Darkening skies for boating for this
afternoon but lovely right now. Over towards our right is a section of
waterfalls coming down out of the foothills. We're going to visit this and hang out a second. So So These are small gurgling waterfalls coming down out of a little hilltop, flowing down
into the stream that we were standing next to earlier.
Foliage all around these waterfalls, super lush, multicolored, lots of bright lime greens, colorful oranges.
And to the left and above us, floating mountains.
Can you hear the tribal drums in the distance? So The Let's go past the community celebration area.
This is a place where Navi and humans come together to celebrate, practice music, generally
have a good time. Alright, make the key in the limo key. Go on, see if you can find the others.
The Here at the base of the floating mountains now, to our left we find the entrance to Navi living with the land.
So here we are back out underneath the towering floating mountains of Pandora. Huge waterfall coming down from one of them, that's
what you hear. Brilliant turquoise blue pool of water at the bottom with large stones covered
with moss, lots of plants around them. This is to relax. Let's hang out a minute. the The Oh! I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.

I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Oh Amy!
What did Amy do?
Okay travelers let's head over underneath the floating mountains and down towards the village.
Directly under the mountains now.
And the foothills and the waterfalls that we passed earlier, we are now down below them. the Over to your left, you will see the high towering mountains that forms the basis for...
Sorry, dodging some fellow travelers.
Forms the basis for flight of passage. Tall gray and brown cliffs with moss and trees, waterfalls coming down from the top with
the floating mountains in the foreground to our right is what I'm calling the village.
It may be termed something else, but it is the old base for
the RDA that now is a place where Navi and humans can hang out, have food, sell some
wares. Let's go. The I'm going to try to get a little bitates in the middle of the walkways here say RDA on them.
A lot of the stone walls here looks old and crushed and battered with the rebar showing
through the concrete. It's been here a while. I'm going to go to get a little bit of a I love this area because it just is full of life. It doesn't seem like it, it is.
To the right over here we have Satuli Canteen where you can get Navi inspired eats and drinks. Over to the left of us a little
bit we have Pongu Pongu where you can get refreshing and tasty and unique
drinks and I think a couple of little food items especially breakfast.
Standing in front of that is one of the amp suits from a hundred years ago, military manned armored
suit, but now retired and just used as a decoration here in the center of town. A
reminder of the way things used to be.
Then further to the left of the amp suit is the the entrance to Wind Traders, the shop where you can buy things
handcrafted by the Navi.
It's a place of trade here between the Navi and the humans. The All right, let's head over to Wind Traders.
Legitimately one of my favorite spots, one of my absolute favorite shops.
There's not a lot of audio ambience in there, but we'll take in some cool crisp air conditioning
and look at some of the wares.
Come on. I think your sister could do it.
Look at the camera. Alright, oh, the AC, the AC is so nice.
It's a hot day in Pandora y'all.
This entire building made of dark woods, Let's see what we can see. You can get yourself a mountain banshee from the banshee rookery. Avatar themed hats and backpacks.
Trying not to bother our fellow travelers like I just did.
It's a little muted in here, a little quiet, so you gotta be careful. Be respectful. Brush your teeth.
Some lovely mugs here with the floating mountains on them.
They even have a little diorama with one of the Hon one of the banshees sitting on it. Looks beautiful.
These are kind of new. They got, they got some little stuffy toys and like little satchels or wearable backpacks.
One of them is the little horse, the stuffy of the little Pandoran horse with six legs.
And then a baby Navi and another one. Very cute.
Over here in the back corner they have clothing and backpacks and gifties and goodies that all glow in black light.
They're bioluminescent as it were.
Maybe just luminescent because they're not really bio, but you get it, okay? You can get yourself a Pandoran sunset views on them.
This entire store just says relax, cool, nature, handcrafted, love it in here.
Remember this used to be an RDA base and I just love the set dressing because on top of the shelves here, they're used to display the wares that you can buy, you know, by conceit,
by the lore of the land that are made by the Navi, but up top you can see military hardware, old radios, metal ammunition, boxes,
all rusty and decayed.
Details are just wonderful.
And intermixed with all of that are woven and painted Navi decorations, so they took
this over, they made it their own, but there's remnants of the out to our patrons, lovely people who support us
week after week and send us requests to come to cool places.
So at the beautiful tomorrow level we have Beck Castle, Bill and Erin Zeiss, Brian E.
Grant, Derek at Satisfactual Sign Company, John Hamilton, Meredith Izzo, Hannah Ginn,
David Krause, Jessica Davis, Courtney Otter, Kare Louise Moody, Laura B, Meredith Izzo, Hannah Ginn, David Krauss, Jessica Davis,
