I'm doing good and welcome back to Walk About the World, your weekly audio journey through one of the parks and resorts of Walt Disney World here in Orlando, Florida, and you know where you are. Disney's Animal Kingdom. Do you ever have a day where you're just like, I need to go to Animal Kingdom? Maybe that's just me, but for me, today was that day. Just needed some Animal Kingdom vibes, and I'm thinking maybe you do too. Everybody's back to school, back to work. We are here in Discovery Island, but we are heading to one of our favorite little spots to just relax. And remember, that's kind of the goal here.

Starting point is 00:00:57 If you're new, each week we take a little journey through the park. Sometimes we walk and talk, sometimes we sit and listen. Regardless, the goal is to put you in the park, take you with us. And today I'm going to Flame Tree Barbecue all the way in the back. There is a shelter that has snakes or eels, you decide, and crabs on the roof. And it is the furthest shelter back right by the Discovery River. And it is a wonderful spot just to take in the ambience, the soundscape. You can occasionally hear the roller coaster. And maybe a rainstorm because it looks like we might get rained on today. But regardless, come with us.

Starting point is 00:27:58 off to the left and it leads right to a little pool waterfall it's kind of hidden over here various ducks and other waterfowl are swimming in the little pool the foliage is amazing they're just wrapped up in it every time we come to this park we're just amazed by the fact that it looks like another world. It looks like just because of the foliage and the planting, it looks like you've literally been transported. And Heather, who is here with me. Hi, Heather. Hi, everybody.
