Hello travelers and welcome back to Walk About the World. Today I'm at Disneyland and I thought we'd just walk about Adventureland for a little bit. So let's head in. All right, on my right we have Adventureland Bazaar. You get all your, well, your basic Disney souvenirs. I believe they do have some Indiana Jones stuff inside, but other than that, it's your basic theme park On our left, Jungle Cruise, so let's head inside. I'm going to go to the bottom of the boat. Now everybody look up. That's the top of the boat.

There you go, not your core. If that ever switches at any point in time, Swip. Raise your hand if you know how to Swip. Oh, perfect, perfect. If you did not raise your hand, look around. That's your life jacket for the trip. Thank you guys for volunteering. I really appreciate it, because I don't know how to Swip. Headed! Yes! All right. Wave goodbye to all the beautiful people on the dock. All right. Now wave goodbye to all the ugly people. Say all the bad feelings. All right, everyone. Welcome aboard the world-famous Jumbo Cruise where we're famous around the world for being world-famous.

My name is Skipper Sky, and I'm going to be your skipper for a solid like two weeks. You're going to have so much fun. It's going to feel like seven and a half minutes. It's going to be fabulous. I didn't want to walk in the rain force where it rains 385 days a year. Pretty sure that's like every other day. But did y'all feel the rain? Nice to finally feel something, right?

I was afraid you'd missed it all righty everyone for your safety and survival keep your hands on seat legs inside the boat at all times please remain seated throughout the entire trip and parents watch your children because i most certainly will not um if you happen to drop anything outside the boat while we're on our trip any person on a door loved ones just raise your. I'll raise mine and we're going to wave goodbye to it together while it flows all the way down the river. Oh my goodness, that right there is a 400 pound Himalayan tiger. You know, some days though, Himalayan right there. Other days, Himalayan over there. Right now, Himalayan standing. Yeah. My high school friends. Hi guys.

Howdy watch out for ginger. Ginger snap. She's running out of time to cook. Sorry that's a really crummy joke but I'm gonna keep melting it for all it's worth. Howdy everyone welcome to the Indian Elephant Bathing Pool. Feel free to get as many photos as you like. They are all wearing their trunks. Just avoid getting any pictures of me. My parents think I'm actually using my theater degree. Yeah, they're really proud of my brother.

Alrighty, so these are Indian elephants. Does anyone happen to know how we can tell that these are Indian elephants? Because we're in India. Yeah. Alrighty, we're in India. Yeah. Alrighty, we're going to sneak up past my friend's fort right here. Oh, oh my goodness, oh my goodness, he's going to get you. Duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, duck, duck.

Okay, the duck flew away. That was really cute. Why don't you guys look at the duck? Alrighty, let's head on over to the base camp. Ooh, that's good for us today, sir. Oh my goodness, they've gone bananas. They have taken over the camp and are monkeying around. Oh my goodness, look what they did to the jeep.

They left the lights on. How is it ever going to turn over now? I guess I should call Triple A to get that fixed. Alrighty, now I'm going to take this time to point out all of the lonely plants in the jungle. Yeah, there you go. Oh my goodness, it's bamboos. Did y'all know that bamboo could grow up to six stories tall? Other skippers say seven, but that's a whole other story.

Alright, everyone, welcome to the Nile River. This is the world's longest river. It goes off for Niles and Niles and Niles. If you don't believe me, you're in Africa. Yeah. So, speaking of Africa, this right here is an African bull. Elephants are most commonly known for having really, really big floppy ears and a really, really big test. Does anyone happen to know how we can tell that this is an African elephant?

Oh, the really big floppy ears and the really big test. I told you all like 10 seconds ago. There's a quiz later, so you've got to pay attention. Alrighty, welcome to the African belt. We've got a ton of animals. We got stripy horsies, some bearded cows, some ponies with antlers. Those really tall guys in the back, those are trees.

Yeah, is anyone's favorite animal the stripy horsey? No one? Okay, good. Okay, good. Ooh. Uh-oh. Oh, no. Y'all see how many rocks are on that beach? There's so many rocks. Wow. My goodness, bamboo. Did y'all know bamboo can grow up to eight stories tall? Uh, there's skippers say 9, but that's a whole other story. Alrighty, welcome to the hippo pool. They may look friendly.

They're not. Just last week they did take down about 6 of our boats. Don't worry though, I did the math. Only like 3 and a half of them were mine. So you're in good hands. Okay, oh. Oh, I guess we here in good hands. Okay, oh. Oh, I guess we can Wow. I guess we safely get to go through here. Wow, yay! Oh my goodness, they have gotten into a

chipwreck. Wow. Oh my goodness, they have gotten into a chipwreck. Wow, oh my goodness. Wow. Let's just go up there. I'm gonna show you two of my favorite plants in the jungle. We got some over here, we got the hibiscus. And down over there is gonna be the lobiscus. In there is the sea biscus.

And in the way, way far back, that's none of your high biscus. Aww, look at the butterflies. Aww. You know, butterflies are not what they used to be. Yeah, they used to be caterpillars. All right, ready everyone? For the moment, you all have been waiting for the amazing, stupendousillars. Alrighty, everyone. For the moment, you all have been waiting for

the amazing, stupendous, the eighth one of the world, the backside of water! Oh, two eight! Oh, two eight! Oh! No one ever chances me! Woo!

I love doing chemical jokes, but I'm only allowed to use them periodically. Alrighty, I'm going to show y'all something even cooler than the backside of water, ready? The front side of rock. Yeah, it's one of our more boulder attractions. It's pretty marvelous, but a ton of people tend to take it for granted, but I truly think it's a diamond in the rough. Yeah. Oh my goodness, bamboo. Did y'all know bamboo grows to 10 stories tall? Other skippers say 11 but that's a whole other story. Oh Trader Sam's gift shop.

I know what you're thinking, why on earth would you leave the gift shop in charge with a bunch of monkeys? Don't be ridiculous, the elephant's clearly in charge. Speaking of elephants today, we learned about two different kinds of elephants. Does anyone happen to know what kind of elephant that is right there? What kind? Close, it's actually a baby elephant. It's a baby elephant.

I mean, of all the spiels I've heard, that was definitely one of them. We have Bengal BBQ on the right and Indiana easy on the car. You seek the treasure of Mara. Glittering gold. It is yours. Used to be Tarzan, and now it's back to being inspired by the Swiss family Robinson.

Most of the time you can tell you're in Adventureland

by the smell of Bengal BBQ just kind of like tempting you. It's really good though. I mean it smells delicious, it is delicious. I probably eat there more than anywhere else here. That's a fair bet. Let's go into Tropical Hideaway. Now Tropical Hideaway does Dole Whips and then they do like fancy Dole Whips.

I think they do snacks like Bao and some other stuff, not too sure. But it is one of my favorite spots to kind of just hang out. And really there's no better way to end an Adventureland tour without finishing with arguably one of the greatest attractions. In my opinion. Producer Josh would probably argue Indiana Jones. And I get it. I get it.

But Tiki Room. Let's head in. My name is Maui. Natives call me the Mighty One. I tamed the playful sun and gave my people time. Now they set their clocks by mine, for I am troporo, Midnight Dancer. I am Koro, midnight dancer. Today my magic feet no move. My head sore, but last night, all tiki gods had big time. Sam luau.

When drums begin to pound, my head full, big sound. me rongo god of agriculture my land so good to me i got time for sport i fly kite me number one kite flyer too bad i don't have key. Then me, I find electricity. I am Pelly, goddess of fire and volcanoes. Some say I told men to put on again the earth balancer. But when my violent temper rises, the earth trembles on its foundation. Legends say I'm balancing the earth But sad to say I'm just hanging on I'm the one who's really sad When I smile it comes out mad. They call me Tangaroa Roo, the East Wind.

And I am Hina, goddess of rain. We often travel together, wind and rain, through tropic lands across the seven seas! Come closer, so that you may see what magic there is in fantasy. Sing so low we can't hear you. My voice may not be so marvelous, but my profile is already spread. Your horn, but the trouble is, is not far enough out of this world. Is it not right here, Schmidt? I see Schmidt has no hair. To me, amigo, stop the clucking. You sound like a bunch of old hens. There's a lot of birds waiting to go on.

For instance... The boys in the backyard are all mcgaws. Because of their claws? No, because they were tossed. And a fine-fitted grin is a jolly tooth can. And you can sound better than one to the ant can. The bird of paradise is an elegant bird. It likes to be seen and it loves to be heard. Most little birdies will fly away, but the tiki room birds are here every day.
