Welcome back to Walk About the World.
Your favorite audio walk and talk
with a friend around the parks and resorts
of Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
Each week we record
live in the parks to provide you with a new
auditory experience with every episode.
You'll hear the crowds, the music,
the attractions, and yes,
maybe even a magical meltdown.
Hi, Duckie.
Sorry about that.
I'm your host Michelle.
Tonight I am...
at Disneyland, currently standing along the rivers of America here.
Fantasmic just ended, everyone's leaving through the night.
So let's do a deep dive into New Orleans Square.
Now, New Orleans Square is home to two of my favorite attractions, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Hanna Mansion.
And, yeah, I think we're going to head towards Hanna Mansion first here.
On the exterior of Honan Mansion.
So recently, they redid the Outdoor Q at Honan Mansion,
and they made a whole new soundtrack for it.
And I'm actually lucky enough to not only know, a very good friend of mine,
but also a colleague, we worked on a few projects together.
That is Mr. Ego Plum.
He's responsible for basically reimagined.
imagining the original Hanna Mansion ride soundtrack into something new for the outdoor queue.
I really appreciate about what Ego did is he took the original Buddy Baker track and kind of
treated it like a collaboration that took place 60 years apart.
Instead of me describing it, why don't we go listen to it?
So, yeah, let's step inside.
the portraits, please drag your bodies away from the wall into the dead center of...
Betrace an aura of foreboding.
Almost as though you sense a disquieting metamorphosis.
Is this haunted room actually stretching?
Or is it your imagination?
Mm-hmm.
And consider this dismaying observation.
This chamber has no windows and no doors.
Which offers you this chilling challenge to find away ours.
There's always my way.
Now, as they say, look alive and look at T1.
And let's all stay together, please.
There are several prominent ghosts who have retired here from creepy old crypts all over the world.
Actually, we have 999 happy points here.
But there's room for a thousand.
Any volunteers?
If you insist on lagging behind, you may not need to volunteer.
Playful spooks, have interrupted our tour.
No.
Please, we may not see that if you're doing, Rocky,
we will also see that in just a moment.
Down on the safety bar, please.
I will lower it for you.
And heed this warning, the spirits will materialize only if you remain safely seated
with your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside.
And watch your children, please.

New Orleans Square.
First up, on our left, we have Tiana's Palace.
We can get gumbo, bignets, minjolets.
It used to be the French market.
They had a delicious corn chowder.
I think that's no longer now.
It's kind of a bummer.
But that's okay.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't think that way, though.
Coming up on the train.
station for New Orleans Square.
You're going to hear
Walt's opening day
address in Morse Cote. We're making our
way towards Club 33.
The Zor was open as we
walked by and it looked like it was decorated
for Alice in Wonderland.
On our right
a crystal shop
on our left
at our pubery.
On our right, Cafe Orleans.
On our right, we have the seating area for
Cafe Orleans and above that the dining room for Club 33 have ran into Fortune
Red which is like Zoltbar from the movie Big or what have you but it's pirate
doesn't look to be working we'll just continue on on our left we have pieces of
eight where you can buy all of your pirate loot also on
On our left, Liu Bayou, which is the restaurant that allows you to dine inside the high rates of the Caribbean Red.
What I like about walking through New Orleans Square is that all of the windows and irones and ironwork and ironwork and ironwork and, and, you know, and, what I, what I like about walking through New Orleans Square is that all of the windows and balconies and ironwork and,
just everything makes you feel what I imagine New Orleans might feel like.
I've never actually been, this is all that I really know, but it definitely makes me feel like being transported somewhere.
All right, let's make our way back towards pirates.
The entrance of Pirates of the Caribbean.
And it recently just reopened due to like a little bit of longer, longer refurbishment.
One update they did to one area of the right.
where they added like an audio-adamatronic, a little bit controversial.
I've not yet to experience it, so we'll experience it together today.
And, yeah, we'll see how it goes.
But I needn't further you stopwing Bill's rent.
Go on, Brett.
Have a nice to turn, hey.
I think up,
you're actually really many.
I thought that might look for all.
I should take this portrait of some
to start for them to cover my expenses.
And the chest of jewels.
Big up in a hard job.
I thought that might look better in person,
but it did not.
Um,
they are using,
They are using the facial projection technology, and it did not look as, well, it looked as good as it did in the videos that I saw.
So fit the context of the ride story.
But this duck has an opinion as well.
I hear you, buddy.
All right.
So that's going to do it from me today.
or tonight, I should say.
