Well, hello, travelers.
Welcome back to another episode of Walk About the World.
I'm your host today, Pete, aka Neverland Local.
And I am here in a newly opened area at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
And maybe you can tell by the music that will be playing throughout,
but we are now in the Walt Disney Studios courtyard,
which just opened.
And I'm here to tell you,
guys, this may become a lot of people's favorite areas to come and hang out.
There's shade. There's benches. There's trees. There's characters.
Statues of characters. Signs. So many cool little details. I'm not going to share everything with
you because obviously you want to be able to come and see for yourself. Or maybe you've seen it
online already. But I'm going to walk around a little bit, maybe point out a couple things.
but for the most part, kind of just let the courtyard speak for itself.
All right?
So let's take a little bit of a walk and maybe a little bit of a talk.
Probably more walking than talking.
For me, not you.
But let's go.
Now, if this is your first time listening to Walk About,
we want to welcome you with open arms.
And that doesn't mean I'm not welcoming everybody who's listening to us before.
But I want to make sure that if this is the first time you're listening,
that you do know and know us here at Walkabout that we are listener supported.
And if you enjoy what we bring to you each and every week,
feel free to show your appreciation by clicking on our little Dolewhip Fun Link in the show notes.
That will allow you to, you know, maybe buy us a drink while we're in the parks or a Dole Whip or, you know, I don't know, tachos,
whatever your favorite, whatever our favorite snack is or whatever it is.
So we do appreciate that, but all right, enough with that, Pete.
Let's enjoy the courtyard.
So in the courtyard here, we have Stage 1's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Disney Jr. Live.
We got this event inside here.
It's a show.
It's actually currently going on.
I can hear it over here.
We also have the Magic of Disney's Animation Building, the one with the big sorcerer hat.
and then the other side is also the Little Mermaid Show
with a store underneath
and then it looks like there's going to be a studio store coming soon.
I'll take a photo of that for you
so that you'll know what I'm talking about
and you may recognize somebody in the studio store sign.
Now another really cool thing here in animation courtyard is
just like in front of where Mickey Minnie's runaway railway is.
They have handprints and footprints.
They also have that here in animation courriard of some of your favorite animation or animated characters.
Won't name them all again.
Don't want to spoil it for everyone, but some ones I see right away.
I see Ursula.
She has some very interesting footprints, so to speak.
So let me take a picture of that for you.
Who else do I see?
I see
Pooh and Piglet
and Quasimoto
So there definitely are a lot more
But I don't want to spoil it for you right away
And those are right in front of the
Magic of Disney's animation
Easy for you to say
Right in front of the entrance to that
I think one of the coolest things about this area
Is it also gives people a place to sit and relax
and there's grass and there's shade and there's, like I mentioned before,
a lot of benches, a lot of places, places for people to sit and just relax and enjoy.
Almost like a respite in the middle of the park.
It's buzzing with a lot of activity today because it recently opened,
but there are periods of kind of quiet,
and then you'll have The Little Mermaid Show and exits right into the courtyard
as does the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Disney Junior Live show.
Now at the beginning, I did mention that there are some characters,
and the characters that are here are not meet-and-grreet characters,
but actually characters from animated movies and shorts.
So, again, I don't want to spoil it all for you.
Maybe you've seen it already online, but some favorites right away are Sir Hiddell.
with elbows.
Pua and Thumper on the grass just hanging out together.
And my favorite, Jiminy Cricket, is here as well.
Hanging out.
So very cool.
I believe that this area will become very popular for families and everyone alike, I feel.
Just a great place to kind of just sit down.
relax and take a load off. I think one of the things that you can pick up by listening to the music here is that
obviously it's all instrumental and it's probably versions you've never heard before,
which is pretty cool. I feel like anytime Disney introduces something that's newer or something that's new that's
something that none of us have experienced, pretty remarkable. So honestly, I could probably sit here all day and listen
to the music and just the sights and the sounds of what's going on here.
But, you know, I think it's best at this point to kind of, you know, just to leave you guys.
I feel like we'll listen to a little bit more music, and that could be the end of this quick little episode for you.
Kind of a breaking in of the new area, the new courtyard here at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
when that was all.
What dost thou know about my queen?
Think she be the only film I have seen?
Think again.
Which is why I have summoned you.
Oh, for the days when only one villain summoned me,
a queen with a question.
You know, magic mirror on the wall.
Your turn.
Who's the first?
Fair is wonderful.
Well done.
But define fair.
Beautiful.
Once upon a time it was.
But these days, villains are preoccupied with who's been treated the most unfairly of all.
Each evil villain here would like to suggest that they're not bad apples.
They just get bad breasts.
So they whine and they ask if they're victims of a crutch.
I just reflect.
I can't judge.
To make matters worse,
when they find a looking class
and recite that question
they continually ask
the evil queen strikes
for the terrified
and smashes into me
sins
for whom puppies
stirred a curious passion
you see tragically
miss on the stone
ruthless
dressed
she made it through
to the queen
but do they listen
another scoundrel
undoubtedly with a load of crock
Just tell you.
So, try the...
Captain Hawk hath your service.
Thank you one person.
But the brass, even sweet, likes you better than me.
Myself can offer you.
Ha ha ha ha, ha.
Fancy that, answering to...
Let me show tethon, working for Captain Hawk.
The world's...
...se villains push their way to the front.
...to the one who's feeling a little heated by being misunderstood, okay?
And yet another...
You see the severity of my situation, can't you?
How is...
been misunderstood by the gas.
I demand you let me in.
Okay, kindly let a pre-apparition.
I should have been slaughter.
Silence.
Derey.
Cerexie.
Rejected.
Publicly humiliated.
And uh.
Publicly humiliated.
Godish.
Ticars, I give you so much the side of his clans.
No.
Morning.
The name, the mirror isn't mine.
And mine alone.
The stone!
Many spoke, but few have seen.
The villains in the mirrors cleaned.
But these three passed through the glass by the judge.
Show who you.
I'll gather you below it's coming in and all the day.
It may turn out a different way.
