Hello, travelers, and welcome back to Walk About the World.
I'm your host, Michelle.
And I'm currently walking into Cars Land from my favorite entrance, which is through Ornament Valley.
I guess it's like a side or back entrance into the land,
but I feel like you get the greatest view as soon as you enter through the rock formation and it opens up to the outside portion of Radiator Springs and then you get this impeccable view of Ornament Valley. So I thought we'd kind of just walk through Cars Land, cruise Route 66, see what we can
hear. On the left we have Flo's V8 Cafe.
A nice little quick service restaurant.
I like it to kind of escape the heat for a little bit,
listen to some Motown.
Plus they have a ton of, like, funny quips on the windows.
Multi-viscosity oil fountain.
Refreshing Freon Frosties.
Frosty antifreeze
Dipsticks
On the right we have Ramones House of Body Art
which offers pinstriping, flame jobs, airbrushing but if you're a human then it's just a shop with cars merchandise inside You don't want to go on Radiator Springs Racers just yet.
So let's go back up Route 66. On our right we of Luigi's.
I hear you, kid. I hear you.
Kid just wants to go on the dancing, dancing cars. I mean, I get it. Thank you. So let us all sing a song of love. So let us all sing a song of love. Sing a song of love.
Sing a song of love.
Sing a song of love.
Sing a song of love.
Sing a song of love.
Sing a song of love. Sing a song of love. Luigi's Dancing Cars.
I'm not going to spoil it, but there's a big finale.
The cool part about Luigi's is there's a different song every time,
but I think there's only six, so if you go on it more than six times,
you'll probably get the same song.
But during Christmas time, they actually change up the music
and add Christmas songs as well. All right, back on to Route 66. There's a Materider Springs souvenir shop that looks like one of those side of Coming up on the Cozy Cone Motel.
Which is also filled with fun puns and play on words.
Let's see, we have Pop Cone.
Cone Cautions. cone cautions cone queso and ice cream cones
that last one wasn't too plenty
but I mean you can't really
see too much with ice cream cones, but...
Anyhow. I'm going to go ahead and get my phone. You know, I missed a cone.
There's also a churro cone called churros, but again, not very funny. So since it's already decorated for Halloween,
the Raider Springs Drive-In Theater has a bunch of posters up that are all a play on cars and Halloween.
We have Attack of the Space Zombies from Planet B.
Hocus Pocus.
Holland Mansion, which says they've been dying to race you to the Holland Mansion, which says,
They've been dying to race you to the Holland Mansion,
in tire-fying sight and sound.
I like it.
Escape to Witch Mountain?
No, nope. Escape to Hitch Mountain.
Sorry about that.
Across from that we have Sarge's surplus hut.
With more Cars Land goods.
Although I want to see if they still have the model in here.
They have a...
model of the entire Cars Land in here which is pretty neat.
Yep, still here. I was hoping for some more puns in here, but
nothing really.
On our left we have Fillmore's Fill Up Station.
Which looks like a giant hippie hut.
I don't know how else to put that.
And there's a big sign that says Taste In.
And there's like oil drums with a bunch of different flavors on it.
Raspberry, seaweed, soy, yucca. Across from Fillmore's we have Tow Mater's Junkyard Jamboree.
Let's head over that way. I've got to warm up with Goodyard Geekbox.
I'm afraid one of my horns is out of tune.
Nope, they sound good to me. Hey, come on.
Let's put it here.
Hey, Big Boat Loader.
Hey, Big Boat Loader.
You can't get mad.
Oh, you can't get mad. Hey, Big Boat Loader. Hey, Big Bo Dozer, you can't get me, no you can't get me.
Hey Big Bo Dozer, hey Big Bo Dozer, cause I'm a rockin' hard drive can see.
Hey Big Red Combine, hey Big Red Combine, you can't get me, no you can't get me. Thank you. I ain't got no money, I ain't got no money No more money, no more money, no more money
Ain't big for closure, ain't big for closure
You can't get paid, you can't get paid
They just got to give up
Ain't big for closure, ain't big for closure Hey big gold dozer
Hey big gold dozer
You can't catch me
No you can't catch me
Hey big red combine
Hey big red combine
Cause I fly right as far as your eyes can see
Frank ain't never gonna catch me So Mater's has different songs as well, with more seasonal songs too.
Kind of like Luigi's. I think it's
neat because it keeps it fresh. So I guess we'll just make our way back down Route 66.
That seems to be all of it. I'll be right back. I kind of like just walking around listening to the music, to be honest. Thank you. I'm going to get you a quarter.
I'm going to get you a quarter.
I'm going to get you a quarter.
I'm going to get you a quarter.
I'm going to get you a quarter.
I'm going to get you a quarter.
I'm going to get you a quarter. I'm going to get you a quarter. All right, it's time.
We're going to hop on to Raiders Springs Racers. Alright, it's time.
We're gonna hop onto Raiders Springs Racers. Thank you. The End Slow down.
You're not racing yet.
Just throw a meter into town to get it.
Here's the coming, champ.
Hey, here for the big race, huh?
It's gonna be fo-ho!
Hey, careful, don't try to tip it!
It's easy!
Just lean up on him and boom!
Ready?
Go!
Go!
Go! I don't know. What? Who is this on this planet?
A bee.
Why do I need to be that?
You need to look that.
A child.
A moon.
I am a moon.
A moon.
A moon.
A moon. A moon. A moon. A moon. A moon. A moon. A moon. A moon. All right. Okay, shiny paint on little race. Now get out there and do it.
Oh, glorious, the race of your life.
Who knows what the money is, but you might want to show it.
Try to get it ready, and go on and let's go.
Go!
You hear me, baby?
Go!
Go! Here we go. Woo-hoo! Woo-hoo!
Woo-hoo! We're breaking it!
Woo-hoo!
Woo-hoo!
We're going to the top!
I didn't know that was up there.
I didn't know there was a break like that.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Incredible! I'm going to get you back up, baby. Incredible racing.
That's very cool.
Hey, you're all there today.
Yeah.
Come on.
Hey, y'all come back home.
I'm back.
