Starting point is 00:00:10 Hello, travelers, and welcome back to Walk About the World, your weekly audio adventure through the parks and resorts of Walt Disney World and Disneyland. I'm Josh. With me is... I'm Pete. Also joining us today we have... Hi. My wife Tiffany and our pal...

Starting point is 00:00:31 The bear, Jay Bear. Jay. We are coming to you from Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom this evening. What is our goal? I think it's to see the bears. Oh, the bears. That was what that conversation was. I think they're hibernating for a little bit coming up.

Starting point is 00:00:49 That's right. This week is the last show for the original Country Bear Jamboree as we know it. So by the time you listen to this episode the bears will be closed and ready for their next performances, whatever those may bring, which we'll find out sometime later this year, I think.

Starting point is 00:01:12 Hopefully. We'll see. So, we're going to walk around Fantasyland, perhaps take in an attraction or two, and on our way to Frontierland right now we are passing it's a small world just in front of us are the tangled toilets beautiful toilets there really are stunning stunning toilets as far as toilets and themed toilets go so we're gonna hang out in Fantasyland for a bit and then walk over to Frontierland and catch our last recording of the Country Bear Jamboree. Oh, I'm in the water. Oh no. Well, as Pete is mourning the loss of his Mickey bar and half the chocolate,

Starting point is 00:02:53 which just fell right off. Oh man. Real sad. It's like a little kid who lost his balloon. Anywho, a little bit ago, not too long ago, we had a request from a listener. Jacob asked if we could check out and record the Seven Dwarves Mine Train. Well, since we are here at the Magic Kingdom tonight, that's exactly what we're going to do since we're hanging out in Fantasyland. Let's go see what we can do with the Seven Dwarves Mine Train.

Starting point is 00:03:27 And maybe, I don't know, get Pete a new ice cream bar. Aw, man. All right, let's go to Mine Train. She had a good first roller coaster. You are good, my friend. All right, so we ended up getting the best seats in the train. We're in the very back. Sure did.

Starting point is 00:03:51 Rose 9 and 10. I'm excited. Our mine cart approaches. Wrong coaster. Neat. I'm not gonna change. I'm not gonna change. I'm not gonna change. I'm not gonna change. Starting point is 00:07:30 Yeah, we appreciate that because I haven't been on that ride in a long time. And it's a good one. It's a really good ride, especially at night and a full moon. Beautiful, yeah. And then we're going to want to go walk at a cheap bar. Let's keep to Fantasyland and then head over to Front go around let's uh let's keep keep to fantasy land and then head over to frontierland for some country bars hang on i have to get my bearings as to where we are i like what you did there see because

Starting point is 00:08:02 because we're going to the country bears now state it's been just just a fantasy today I don't get it the next 25 minutes anyway 35 minute wait for Mansion this evening. Memento Mori to our left. Harbor House straight ahead. Heading into Liberty Square. Oh, I see. I think it's right back there. Sorry. Jay, you do realize since this is your walkabout debut, this means you're going to have to become a regular listener, right? Absolutely.

Starting point is 00:10:13 The vast River of Poo. Hard to avoid it over here. All right, we're coming into Frontierland. Passing over the mighty Mississippi. Get ready for another musical change. Starting point is 00:16:52 A-banging on a death-pike with a bill of country bills. Zip's a song of a fiddle with a crook in his head and bone. When the spirit moves that groove, he can make that fiddle go. Rump Ted is on the corn jug, now make that baron blow. He also plays the washboard with a hand on the wall. And Big Fred's playing my part, he plays it kinda sad. He never took a lesson, he just picked it up from Dad. And little old Tennessee band is a feature of the time. Sounds just like a guitar, but it's only got one string. So clap your hands and stomp your feet and try to keep it up. Watch your own hair and your own feet. Oh, come see me, little girl.
