Hello travelers and welcome back to Walk About The World. I'm your host Michelle and I'm currently in Frontierland. So I thought we'd just kind of walk around, see what we can hear. We have Westward Ho Trading Company to our right. It's where you buy and trade pins. Shooting Gallery to the right of that says we welcome tenderfoots and sharpshooters too. Our rifles shoot straight, guaranteed. Next to the shooting gallery, we have Rancho Del...

I'm not even going to attempt to pronounce it. I've always had a hard time pronouncing it. And I typically just add like 20 syllables to the end of it. Mostly because it makes my husband laugh, but honestly I just can't pronounce it. But it is the Mexican food restaurant next to the shooting gallery. It's really good. Burritos are good, tacos are good, it's all good. And the seating area for it itself has some really neat tile work as well as like some lanterns and some star lights and what have you. But it's definitely one of

my favorite places to eat. Next to the restaurant we have an Encanto meet and greet. Beyond that, Big Thunder Mountain. Straight ahead we have the loading dock for the Mark Twain and the Columbia. Coming up on the Golden Horseshoe, but it's a really cool spot to grab some food, maybe a drink, and kind of just sit in the AC for a bit. Next to the Golden Horseshoe, we have Stage Door Cafe, where you can get your corn dogs and funnel cakes. Basically, anything that Golden Horseshoe has. I believe it's like the same exact kitchen. Beyond Stage Door, we have Riverbell Terrace, and I don't know if that's considered frontier land. Maybe it is. It kind of gets lost in the area. Sorry, I had to pause for the trash can.

It's in the area between Adventureland and Frontierland and New Orleans Square. It's kind of like in the triangle of land. But, you know, it's off the rivers of America, so today I'm going to count it as its frontier land. Across from Riverbill Terrace, we have the Petrified Tree. And the sign says it's from the Pike Petrified Forest, Colorado. And this section weighs 5 tons and measures 7.5 feet in diameter. Funny story about this petrified tree. It was actually a gift from Walt Disney to his wife.

And it was too large to do anything with, so they gave it to Disneyland to display, which I think is hilarious. You know, I want to say that they did have a show inside Golden Horseshoe, but it got recently cancelled, if I'm not mistaken. All right, let's head into this store next to Golden Horseshoe. Thank you. Well, he picked up his axe and he jumped the tree, Fleed down with his forward swing, Got him another with an axe on the back, Then he grabbed back the tree. He took on a job and a little day,

And said, well, it was time. He walked back over the sun, He found a little house on the side, And he said, It's a pretty typical Disney gift shop but the outside is kind of unique because it looks like a bunch of fake storefronts. Like you have Bonanza Outfitters and Try Goods Silver Spur supplies. Collectibles. Knickknacks. The greatest roundup of wares in the West. There is a little nod to Davy Crockett on this building here.

It's called Crockett and Russell Hat Company. And it's got Davy Crockett's Coonskin cap on top. Pretty neat. I never noticed this before, but it looks like Davy Crockett has his own window here as well. I like the nods to the old school Disney show. Well, Davy Crockett, obviously. But the Mexican food restaurant from earlier

is actually a nod to Zorro as well Which I watched both when I was a kid How's the back? Oh wow, the plunge is hard. And now we're back at the Golden Horseshoe. And I guess that's it for Frontierland today. So what I'm going to do is try and find a spot for Fantasmic, and I'll catch you after that. Welcome to Fantasmic.
