Hello travelers and welcome back to Walk About the World. I'm your host Michelle, currently sitting in downtown Disney. I thought tonight we would jump on the monorail straight into Tomorrowland and see where the night takes us. So see you on board. Please join us. Welcome aboard the Disneyland Monorail. For your safety, please remain seated, keeping your hands, arms, feet and legs inside the cabin. Watch your children and no smoking, please. Please keep your hands, arms, feet and legs inside the train and take care of the children. Please do not smoke. Thank you! a bird's eye look at the downtown Disney district, Disney's grand California hotel and spa, and Disney California Adventure. To the left of the Monorail is the main entrance

of Disneyland, the happiest place on earth. Disneyland is truly an American original. Since its opening in 1955, it has hosted hundreds of different events from around the world, including presidents, kings, and celebrities. It is the original Disney main park created and enjoyed by Walt Disney himself. To the right is our transportation plaza, where you'll find taxis, hotel shuttles, and public transit stops. We are about to enter Disneyland. Some of the clearances are pretty tight up ahead, so be sure to remain seated, keeping your hands and arms inside the cabin. This is Tomorrowland, a land inspired by science, fact and fantasy. Below us is the submarine lagoon, where you can dive into a fantastic underwater adventure aboard the Finding Nemo Submarine voyage.

Across the way are the icy peaks of Matterhorn Mountain, home of the world's most famous boat sled run. And beneath us is the Autopia, where drivers of all ages can travel the road to tomorrow. So The To the right of the monorail, you just might spot the sparkling gold spires of one of Disney's most beloved attractions. It's a small world. And now we're riding alongside the happiest kingdom of them all, Fantasyland, home to Pinocchio, Snow White, Peter Pan, and the rest of the world. home to Pinocchio, Snow White, Peter Pan, and other storybook characters. We're now approaching the Tomorrowland Monorail Station, our final destination. Please remain seated until the monorail comes to a complete stop, then collect your belongings, watch your head, and step carefully from the train. And we made it to Tomorrowland. I'm currently standing outside of Space Mountain and Pizza Planet. And what used to be Innoventions, but it's now Star Wars Launch Bay, but now it's also

a DVC Lounge, which I don't think it's launch bay anymore, I'm not entirely sure. Anyhow, I thought we'd kind of make a loop towards the front of Tomorrowland and see what we can hear. I'm just a hot car. Coming up on Star Trader, which has my favorite neon in the entire park, it's Mickey as an astronaut floating through space. And now the most depressing part of walking through Tomorrowland is walking underneath what used to be the people mover tracks or rocket rods. Either way they're both gone but the track is still here as a reminder of what was. Star Tours on our left. I'm not a cat.

What are you doing? I'm not a cat. No, you're right. I know. I'm not a cat. Not a cat. We're making our way around Astro Orbiter. Oh, you are?

Oh my gosh. You want to spit it by yourself? No, I don't want to. Round Astro Orbiter. Daddy! Attention pilots, the rocket ships have initiated landing procedures. Please remain seated until your rocket ship comes to a complete stop. Then follow the parents to the flight deck. Happy landing! Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters on our left. Used to be our Circle Vision Theater. Which was then used for the Rocket Rods Cube. And now it's Buzz Lightyear. Walking back under the people who retract once again. I'm trying to get some candy. You want some? No, whatever.

This is true. I have a lot of candy. I promise. You have to get the monkey. I'm trying to get the dollars to fire. No, I'm trying to get the money. I'm trying to get the it. It's so good. I swear to god, you are still on fire.

You got it? You got it? Making our way around the old people mover loading area. It's still there. Well, technically it's the rocket rod's loading area. But it's all still there. Yeah. Oh, we got a big feet. Coming up on Autopia and the Finding Nemo submarine voyage. I want to see if it's nicer. The So Monorail off in and I don't know, it's kind of cool. I always try and get a picture of the submarine as the monorail is going by and it's harder

to time than you'd think. But usually that's my objective. I'm on the run! This is the main center for the Chicago Fashion Week. Going across the Matterhorn entrance right here. I think it's good. I'm going in. Okay, from here we can either go right towards Tootown or straight for Fantasyland. And I think I'm just gonna go straight, simply because it's right in front of me. And Tootown's all the way over there. So yeah, we're just gonna go straight. The monorail behind us. Teacups on our right. That's true. I'm ready. I said something and you don't know it. I'm ready. For those riding with a child, we ask that you please fasten the safety strap around your child's elbow. It's kind of a cool different dark ride because you start out outside and then make your way inside and then back out again and then back in again. Good job Imagineering. Okay, back in Fantasyland. Making our way into Fantasy Fair. There's a music box over here.
