Hello travelers and welcome back to Walk About the World from the Hollywood that never was
and always will be.
Host Jeremy with you and we are on Hollywood Boulevard.
Passing Five and Dime on your right.
Do you say Five and Ten or Five and Dime?
Five and Dime for me.
Keystone Clothiers to your left.
And Trolley Car Cafe, Starbucks to your right.
Mickey's Runaway. straight ahead in the far distance,
but we're going to take a right and do what we do.
We're going to walk around, capture some ambience.
The first thing I have to visit is my favorite little water feature here,
next to the Visit Beautiful Hollywood Home of the silver screen sign with the trolley car Okay, turning right down Hollywood Boulevard, from Hollywood Boulevard down Sunset Boulevard.
Hollywood Junction to your left, Beverly Sunset coming up on your left, and the legends of Hollywood to your right.
Palm trees lining the streets, blowing in the breeze this evening we've had some storms and
it is uh dare i say almost comfortable The majestic theater to your right where the stars shine.
Signed to the left for Muscle Beach Bodyguard Service.
Always get a kick out of that. Thank you. Thank you. I also use a carry-on.
Passing Mickey About Town.
Let's pop in.
Why not?
It's on a whim.
Not surprising.
A lot of Mickey- Mickey themed merch in here. Behind the counter is a silver...
I want to take a picture of it.
A silver impression of Hollywood itself.
And it's beautiful.
I'll put that on the Instagrams for you.
Okay, popping back out. Sunset Ranch Pins and Souvenirs to your left, Sunset Ranch Market coming up on your left,
and to your right, Carthay Circle.
Directly in front of you is the ever present
Hollywood Studios
helicopter
I only say this because
I don't know how many times I've been here
and I record a helicopter
when I'm here
we must be on the route if you guys have been here many times there's a helicopter when I'm here. We must be on the route.
If you guys have been here many times, there's a helicopter service.
You can take a ride on a helicopter and it flies over I-4.
We must be on the path.
I don't know why.
I'm so frozen.
I'm so confused.
There's a lot of people. ¡Vamos a ver! Now I'm inviting you to dinner
We've turned around. Anaheim Produce is here on our right.
Sun-ripened goodness, it says.
That's the coverage. Sunshine Day Bar.
What do we have?
The Cherry Blossom.
The Southside Fizz.
And the Blackberry Moonshine Lemonade.
And a Strawberry Daiquiri.
For some reason, my brain deleted the fact that that existed,
unless that's new, which it almost undoubtedly is not.
That's what it's like to be me.
Like, hey, a new thing! And everybody's like's like dude it's been here forever
Poor little one, but we've checked that box. What used to be Starring Roles is to the right.
I don't think it's called that anymore.
The area next to Brown Derby that has the red umbrellas and seating.
I think it's called nothing now.
But it was starring roles.
I'm going to take a left and head towards Echo Lake. And I'm going to go by the popcorn stand here to see what buckets are on offer.
Right now it is the perfect picnic basket popcorn bucket. It looks like Mickey's hand holding a picnic basket.
Anything goes. I don't think I've ever read this before, but here's the plaque from Michael Eisner from May 1st, 1989.
The world you have entered was created by the Walt Disney Company as dedicated to Hollywood.
Not a place on the map, but a state of mind that exists wherever people dream
and wonder and imagine.
A place where illusion and reality
are fused by technological
magic. We welcome you to
a Hollywood that never was
and always will be.
Anything goes.
Sorry, I'm going to stop singing.
The SS down the hatch.
Straight ahead and in view.
And Echo Lake behind. Terima kasih telah menonton I'm not sure you can beat this ambience.
Deep sigh.
Ah. deep sigh ah that says down the hatch to the right
you can hear the water venting
at the bottom
dark clouds in the distance
dinosaur Gertie
on the far side of the lake.
And I see the Disney ducks are out.
Let's take a little stroll around Echo Lake.
One of the things I wanted to check while we were here
is if the Indiana Jones stuff is still set up over in the Indiana Jones store.
I hope it is, but kind of thinking maybe it isn't. We'll see. Let's go. Hollywood and Vine to your left
as is the Tune In Lounge I'm going to go ahead and get my phone. Okay. Okay. And alas, the Indiana Jones store is closed.
They had a lovely little non-alcoholic drink in there that I was going to give myself as a treat.
Dang it. Passing the Indy stunt show, done for the day. Nara Oh, man. Mickey Shorts Theater to your right, Backlot Express to your left.
And it smells like hamburgers and I'm starving. Terima kasih telah menonton You know where we are now. Giant AT-AT
Right in front of you
Along with the trees of indoor Alright, ambience change in three, two... Welcome to Grand Avenue.
Wow.
To your right, you have Angelino Alterations, a little stitch of heaven.
Custom Alterations, pants pants him while you wait.
Does that mean you have to just stand there without your pants?
All right, let's turn left onto Grand Park,
which is Muppets Plaza to me. I've changed my mind.
I said the little green fountain up there was my favorite water feature.
How dare I?
But it does have a lot of memories where I would sit with the family on days here on Star Wars weekends,
and we would come and sit by that fountain.
But my favorite.
Has to be the one.
Right in front of you.
Where the glorious Miss Liberty.
Miss Piggy.
Is there in all of her glory.
And here also.
Our little pals.
The rats and the wretched refuse
down the stairs to your left is Pizza Rizzo.
It's rat pizza, by the way.
If you want real food, you can go around the corner to Mama Melrose.
Which we love, by the way. I love to pop into Muppets, but that's not to be today. If you are fairly new to our Happy Little Band, we have a full recording of the Muppets attraction.
And it's awesome.
Not because we recorded it, just because it is awesome Ambience change in 3, 2, 1 two We've now gone off world. And it's starting to rain.
I'm going to do another replay of our Galaxy's Edge rainy evening.
I'm not careful here.
We won't dally around Galaxies Edge very long Sorry little one
That's the second one.
Currently standing next to the A-Wing,
which is off to your right,
across from Rise of the Resistance.
If you stand here long enough, you can hear the voice of Harrison Doola.
Surely you know who that is. I'm going to to the left and coming up on Marketplace. Let's head through the marketplace. Here's the creature stall.
Porgs aplenty.
You can also buy yourself a clock-in monkey lizard.
And a cute tauntaun.
I hadn't noticed the tauntaun before.
Loath cat in the cage. I it's pretty cool this shirt yeah had to step into the shop with all the
merch and the magnets and the keychains and all that stuff.
They have a new... It's not a cup, but kinda.
Alright.
Passing around to Roasters.
This time of an evening Ronto's is closed but you can still get a Ronto wrap at Docking Bay.
Secrets.
Alright, to your right here is Doc Ondar's Den of Iniquities.
I gotta do it every time, I'm sorry.
I know, antiquities, whatever.
And right ahead of us is the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.
This is what I wanted to make it to.
Just needed to see the Falcon. Current wait time, 65 minutes ouch i will take a picture for you There are some Jedi below, or Sith perhaps, with sabers out.
And it's been a while.
It's summertime, so sunset comes late here in Florida.
It's been a while since I was here at dusk.
One of my favorite things,
as you know, is seeing all the folks with the lightsabers out and just doing their thing and bringing life to this land. I really enjoy it. I think that's fun. That means you're about to get backed over. I'm just chilling here for a second in the outdoor seating area of Doc.
No, not Doc Ondors.
He sells things.
This is Docking Bay 7. so
are we Let's head down the ramp here and pause for a second over by the Central Railway Station. I love this song. Terima kasih telah menonton All right, travelers, thanks for hanging out with me today.
