Welcome back to Walk About the World and hello, travelers!
From the most magical place on Earth, Disney's Magic Kingdom.
I would love to tell you I'm here on a cool evening, but it's like 92 still.
It's golden hour, but it's like 92 still. It's golden hour, but
it's like 92. But welcome from Town Square. Pumpkins everywhere. Fall decorations all
around. And there is a gorgeous sunset happening with beautiful pink clouds and a
bright blue sky underneath.
You're going to hear a lot of that.
How about you and I go take in a little evening, fall, magic kingdom ambiance.
That's French.
Together.
You ready? Let's do it.
Coming up on the confectionary now.
Breathe deeply.
Breathe deeply. the pumpkin mickeys on the street lamps are surrounded by like a fall
wreath and the pumpkins glow and flicker gorgeous oh my goodness i gotta take a photo for you guys
confectionery on your right main street cinema right to your right
arcade gifts to your left that's the emporium
and up above the castle glowing in deep blues and pinks and purples and it's stunning I haven't been in the kingdom personally for a while.
And you think, I mean, we've been down here 15 years.
And you just think, ah, I'll get used to it.
But you don't by the
way passing the giant pile of balloons for sale This is Jake.
Just full...
Transparency is not the right word.
But it's nearing 8 o'clock.
So people are already crowding and lining up along Main Street for fireworks.
And the crowd ahead looks jammed
around the Castle Hub.
That's to be expected.
Here's Plaza Ice Cream.
Oh my gosh, I think it has a better scent than the confectionery.
We're going to take a right, we're going to pass the plaza.
Where is it the plaza?
Oh sorry little one.
Check mark. Guys, are we allowed to walk through?
Oh yeah, absolutely.
Absolutely.
They have things roped off for like a dessert party, so I had to ask.
We're entering Tomorrowland Terrace as we speak.
They're having a party of some sort.
See juices being poured
and various beverages and sweet
treats. So I'm guessing this is the
Oh, listen to that ambience.
Guessing this is a dessert party?
I've never been.
Stitch is on the purple wall passing one of the
pride walls here
also part of the purple wall
oh what's up Stitch
the little guest in front of us
activated him.
Passing one of the old and very faded signs before we enter Tomorrowland here that says,
while in Tomorrowland, stay at the Tomorrowland Towers,
Hover Hotel, three miles directly above Tomorrowland.
I wonder if you can see the Space 220 restaurant up there.
And the other poster says,
Leonard Bernstar,
right,
conducts the Martian Pops Orchestra performing the Opus Outer Space
Concerto in Ursa Minor.
I just love these.
With Mars vocalists
Caruso Universo
and Maria Phobos Demos.
Welcome to Tomorrowland.
Festooned with neon greens and reds and oranges.
I like the word festooned.
Sounds better than icy pretty lights.
Directly ahead of us is the luncheon pad. Monsters Incorporated Laugh Floor to your right.
The TTA, Tomorrowland Transit Authority tracks to your left and right, underscored with red LED. The sun is set now. The sky is a dark blue. And the lights of the Astro Orbiter in green and orange and red
standing out beautifully.
I'm a sucker for neon lights
and I just, I love
how many neon things there are
over here in Tomorrowland
at night time
lunching pad at
Rocket Tower Plaza
in pink and green neon
and the Merchant of Venus to our left Green neon.
And the merchant of Venus to our left. I'm gonna try to take some pictures here.
Bear with me.
Didn't hear anything, did you?
That's right.
I turned the clicker off.
Let's step into Merchant of Venus.
For no reason. Merchant of Venus, now a table location.
Not table service, but it's got lots of tables.
It's really nice.
And right around the corner, Anti-Gravity's Galactic Goodies.
What do they have here?
They have a chocolate milkshake, apple fritter milkshake.
Hmm. We have a chocolate milkshake, apple fritter milkshake, salted caramel milkshake topped with green apple whipped cream, and an apple fritter.
Doesn't sound too bad.
Brownie sundae floats, cold brew float, and ice cream.
All right, poking out the other side here.
Beautiful Space Mountain in the distance,
lit with blues and purples and pinks against a very dark sky at this point.
Here to our right is the cool ship To your left, you can hear the propane-powered little sons of guns that, of course, fit perfectly into Tomorrowland.
But it's a classic. What am I going to do?
Approaching Space Mountain, Joffrey's Revive Coffee off to your right, and one of my favorite
features of the kingdom, these metal palm trees.
Theoretically, according to Tomorrowland Lure, it's supposed to collect sunlight and store
it as energy.
Back when this was Tomorrowland... Telling people to sit down.
Back when this was Tomorrowland Power and Light,
it is now...
Sorry, you don't even know what I'm looking at here.
Give shot.
Tomorrowland Launch Depot.
Space Mountain and Tron store basically. This ambience change is why I walked all the way over here. Pagodas Dude, I love drawing.
I'm a child of the 80s.
Come on. I'm just stunned.
I'm looking to the right and I'm seeing the castle, dark blues, pinks, against a gold sky.
It is just gorgeous.
The last little bit of the setting sun
behind the castle.
That was worth the trip.
I'll meet you guys after I get past these motorcars.
Alright, back in Tomorrowland proper.
Lunching pad to your left.
I'm here because I want to see an old friend.
Not at the lunching pad.
Alright, you're walking with me, so in your mind's eye, what do we got here?
Tell me.
To your left, what do you got?
You're guessing. You're guessing.
Okay, the Merchant of Venus ice cream and smoothies.
Giant blue restroom sign.
And straight ahead of us, one of the best signs and one of the best fonts in all of Tomorrowland is Star Traders.
Which I normally skip because, frankly, there's not that much unique stuff in there.
But I do love the look of it, and I love the smoothed concrete benches around all of these things.
I love it.
Let's take in some ambience here. Kampung Kampung Terima kasih telah menonton! As you're passing the entrance to the Starlight Cafe, if you look in and you see the condiment sign in neon, sit down right here. Just love it.
There it goes. Again, deep sigh
There needs to be a Tomorrowland ambiance
Why am I saying it like that?
There needs to be a Tomorrowland ambiance guru account
Where you just breathe deeply
And listen to this.
With this,
dear travelers,
this is why we're here.
Sunny eclipse, ladies and gentlemen. 2A 3.30

2A 3.30
3F 5.30
2A 3.30 Thank you. It's a party day Hey, I'm on the way
Hey, hey, hey, hey
I'm hanging on to a flame
It's a city of fire
It's a city of fire
It's a city of fire
It's a city of fire
It's a city of fire
It's a city of fire
I'm hanging on to a flame It's a city of fire It's a city of fire Darn right.
That's right.
I love it, guys. Okay. It looked like she told me to come this way, but I didn't realize it was me.
Thank you.
That was worth the trip.
I haven't seen my very good friend, Sonny, in quite a while.
I did, however, wear the shirt that producer Josh made the other day representing him.
All right, Mad Tea Party 2, right.
Cheshire Cafe
in front of us.
I have no idea what that serves.
Looks like it's closed, though. All right, we are walking back across the bridge
towards the castle hub, where be the crowds.
You're going to hear the water of Tomorrowland to your left. And if I didn't take a shot of this castle it would be criminal. Walked across for a better view. All right, let's dive into the peopliness. I'll tell you what, I'm going to have to dodge.
There may be violence.
I'll meet you guys back on Main Street. Walking around the castle hub now,
with cast members busily directing and yelling at us
through very crappy speakers that make their
voice muffled and unintelligible. Inintelligible? Unintelligible? You tell me. to those projections or fireworks. And we will find you this month. Follow our blue light on the wall.
Your humble host just about got ran over by a food cart.
That dude was on a mission.
Good friends, this is an viewing area. Working our way back towards the plaza restaurant
to the right side of the castle as you face it.
Through the miracle of editing,
you don't know how long I've been here.
So my goal actually at this point is to get out before the mass exodus.
You know.
Oh. You're in the thick of it now guys.
People trying to find places for fireworks. Standing room only almost everywhere and we are
back at Main Street. Casey's is right across the way. Not even room for a french fry eating duck
to walk left. You know, I don't have many pet peeves.
Okay, that's a total lie.
I have loads of pet peeves but one of them is
people that walk down the sidewalk
on Main Street and randomly stop
in the middle to take a picture
sigh
it's okay though
uptown jewelry
passing to your left
do you want a little taste of the emporium passing to your left.
Do you want a little taste of the Emporium?
I have no idea what we'll be able to hear in there,
but why not? Let's go.
Crossing the street.
Alright, let's go in the arcade entrance of the Emporium.
I haven't paid
attention in here. Is it just quiet?
Now the only ambience is the sound of a cold hard cash exiting into the coffers of of the emporium If I had one of those fancy podcast machines, I would insert the cash register button right now.
Also just passed a dude with a world-class mullet.
Go ahead, man. Go you.
All right, we are back.
I don't know why I'm whispering.
We're back at Town Square.
Engine Company 71 to your right.
No engine in there.
What's up with that?
Genuine question.
That thing doesn't, does it drive around?
I've been in there before and the actual fire engine was in there.
I can look at it.
The car, whatever they call it.
Fire car. Something.
What are they at?
Magic Kingdom Railway Station.
Directly ahead. God. Also,
don't sprint in the park.
Almost got demolished.
Have I mentioned that I love choo-choos?
Okay.
So here we're seeing in front of us
the pumpkin signs above the little door
that says, see you real soon, and they glow.
The pumpkins all glow.
But I also want to mention something.
I just want to keep it real here for a second.
Popcorn.
So, as you exit the park,
the red popcorn stand is always on your right.
I have to admit, every single time I pass that thing, it smells like vomit.
Too honest? I don't know.
Now we're looking up towards the train station, lit up.
Oh man, okay, again, criminal not to take a picture of this.
Yeah, I would love it to smell like wonderful fresh popcorn.
But it always smells nasty.
So many times I think, hmm.
And then I'm like, hmm, no.
No.
Thank you. Have a good evening.
Bye-bye.
Off to our right is the Express Monorail, which we will be taking.
But just wanted to thank you for hanging out with me on this lovely 91 degree Magic Kingdom evening.

I envy you. I would love a 60 degree day, a 65 degree day. And I know you're like,

it's been hot for like it seems like forever and i would love to see some fall trees and some
some cool temperatures but that's not going to happen and that's not what i'm talking about
