Starting point is 00:00:00 Good morning travelers. It is morning. That's unusual. But it's morning and we are in Epcot. It is comfortable and cloudy. Supposed to storm today, so I wanted to get in before the storms. This is my first visit to Flower and Garden. It is my absolute favorite festival. As you guys know, I'm a plant guy. I'm a flower guy. I'm a flower guy. I'm a garden guy. And today I am here for no other reason than to seek out all of the wonderful plants and plantings and topiaries and take pictures.

Starting point is 00:00:52 I'll share them with you. But I thought, as I do that, I'll take you along with me. And this is going to be the most walkabout of walkabouts that we've done in a while because I'm not going to talk. I mean, I may occasionally interrupt my own self. Ah, monorail. Monorail blue going by. We're currently at the entrance, by the way. Flags blowing, and it smells so sweet. I don't know what it is that they have planted out here that's doing that. I'm going to go investigate. Smells like candy out here. Wonderful morning. Standing next to the big line of, and for those of you that are like Jeremy,

Starting point is 00:01:35 really, but there is a huge planter bed. When you come in the entrance of Epcot, you tap in, over to your right, there's a huge bed of agapanthus, and they bloom on purple spikes. Big spikes with purple blooms on top, and they're just starting to bloom. Late April, this bed should be absolutely full of bloom, but it's just starting, and the crepe myrtle trees are leafing out right in front of Spaceship Earth, and it is gorgeous. So today, I'm just going to do a walk about, not a walk and talk after this intro. And it's going to be a little different because I'm using different audio equipment. I haven't done this in a while, but I'm going to use my binaural headset

Starting point is 00:02:17 as opposed to the normal mic that I use. And what that means is that it should capture everything that I'm doing today exactly as if you were with me. Everything that I hear on my left and my right, you should hear on your left and your right, and if I need to squawk at you, I may just take one of the headphones down and talk, and it may be noisy and scratchy and weird for a second when I do that, but you'll bear with me. Starting point is 00:17:32 and the Harmonious barges are directly in front of me, the American Pavilion directly across, and the lake is still, Friendship Boat is out, slightly cloudy, but super comfortable. And there is no one here but me. I have this entire area by myself. And the barges are actually lit up.

Starting point is 00:17:56 Their displays are lit up. It says Walt Disney World 50. The Stargate is silent, but the big barges, the screens are illuminated. Man. Wherever and whenever you listen, at work, on a jog, at home, hopefully you get just a little bit of what this morning is offering me.

Wow, guys, I have to say, I'm not going to go so far as to say I'm disappointed, but this is a very, very muted planting here in Canada this year. Normally it is lush. I mean, they just have it mostly grassed with tiny little bits of planting. I'm very surprised. Let's head on down, uh, through the water feature area, at least. Thank you. This may be weird weird i'm not sure but you just tagged along with me on a fairly long and meandering complete tour through world showcase we started at the park entrance actually all the way by the entrance fountain and uh we

Starting point is 01:38:21 went left towards the mexico pavilion and we just about did everything. I mean, we didn't do attractions, obviously, but we went in almost all of the stores. A few of them I passed up there at the end. There's a really cool store in the England Pavilion that I did not do because we are coming up on a severe thunderstorm warning here and I need to make haste. But I hope you enjoyed this. Hopefully you can, when we first started Walk About the World, I, I would love to have a podcast where I could just plug in during work and just listen to the parks, just listen to the sounds.

Starting point is 01:39:10 Not just the music, but the parks themselves, because it's different. We always record live here. And so, like, you can get the music of the parks, like, all over the place.
