Well, thank you.
You have a lot of it.
You have a little.
I'm a little.
And good.
Greetings, travelers.
Welcome back to Walk About the World, where we always take you on.
audio journey and your favorite Disney parks here across North America.
Each week we record live in the parks so that you could enjoy the experience of everything
the parks give us and beautiful sight and sounds.
We can walk with our ears, listen and view with our ears.
I want to say thank you so much to all of our listeners who have contributed to our
Dole with Fund over the last few episodes.
You know, if you enjoy what we bring to you, we really appreciate your support.
This is entirely a listener-supported project amongst all of us here at Walk About the World,
and we really appreciate what you have to do for us.

and you can contribute whatever you like.
We really appreciate it.
You know, those dolewips, those mouse-shaped treats, I mean, that's part of the joy and the fun of these wonderful
Disney parks that we call home.
And that's your old good friend here, Rick, also known as the Optical Jedi, here on this
beautifully warm summer day here at Disneyland, California.
We're going to be, oh, thank you so much for that train whistle.
There's nothing quite like that welcome into the parks.
Today, we're going to do a little bit of a meander.
It's been brutally hot here the last few days.
Today's the first day in ages that's.
It's not insanely humid and below 95 degrees.
But I don't know if you've heard, but, you know, there were some renovations done on the train recently in particular.
The voyage through time tunnel has been revamped, modernized, got a little bit of a retrofit.
And I want to check it out.
I miss it.
We've done the train ride together before, and I want to take you the train again.
So let's wander Main Street.
what else we can get as we make our way to the train.
Here's that Main Street band doing their thing.
Let's go take a listen.
Beginnings of the Halloween time, all the characters are done up in their Halloween outfits.
Goofy is jamming to the band.
I love it.
Oh, so's Mick.
You just got to love picking up these beautiful little moments along Main Street.
Let's do some more meandering.
Family and I are stopping for some breakfast, and then we'll pick it up from there.
We just had a wonderful little breakfast over at Carnation Cafe,
and I think it's time we all take a little mozy up here to Town Square and a train ride.
You want to join us on a train ride?
Let's go.
It's definitely a warm summer day, but it's definitely dramatically cooler than the last few days.
It's so nice to have that huge.
humidity go away and go back to Florida where it belongs. It puts you in the mood.
I was hearing that ragtime sound along Main Street USA. Coming up this beautiful
overlook, seeing all of Disneyland transportation making that circle. Let's see him in the
train station. Looks like there's a very short line right now. I don't know if you're
aware of this but there's this beautiful little map inside the train station. It actually shows
you where the trains are located. It looks like one's about to pull into this station
right now so let's go get in line.
No, that was a Coke bottle. That wasn't the train.
Spinning by in front of us, making its Grand Circle Tour.
I have a little bit of some real close.
I think we're going to hear that train coming out of that tunnel from the land before time.
Looks like we're boarding the EP Ripley.
No caboose on board right now, but...
Let's head to the back.
For those of you joining us, welcome aboard holiday floor on the Disneyland Railroad.
Remain seated at all times.
Keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the train.
Parents and guardians, please watch your little ones.

As a few moments, we are going to move the train a few feet backwards.
Please do not be alarmed. This is part of our normal operation.
Once the train is moved backwards, we will be unable to let anyone on or off the train.
So if you wish to exit at this time, this is your last opportunity.
to do so. Thank you.
I have to say I really love all the
discussions of food on the train
now making me hungry
even though I just had breakfast.
That means that we are unable to let anyone
on or off the train because the train is now
misaligned with station.
We're just going to take a quick break to take on water
because at the Disneyland Railroad
we have genuine steam engine train.
So for the train to move, we need steam
and to get steam, we need water.
So we're just waiting for our engineers to give us the

Here in Bayou Country,
you can join
Whitty the Poooo.
Tigger, Lewis the Alligator, and other beloved critters on their fun-filled adventures.
As we steam past Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, we're now joining up with the rivers of America
and entering the frontier as it looked more than a century and a half ago.
This is my favorite part of the journey.
Around every bend, there's natural beauty as far as the eye can see.
The revered Indian shaman sharing his stories with those in the Great River Valley below.
People like you have been riding these rails since the 1800s, traveling through nature's wonderland in a matter of days, rather than the months it used to take by mule or stagecoach.
Steam power not only fueled these iron horses, but the dreams of a whole new generation as it moved west into this great frontier.
Of course, some of those dreams, and the stories that went with them, were pretty darn wild and downright unbelievable, like on Big Thunder Mountain, where I hear that mysterious spirits have great.
Grab hold of those mining trains and turned them into the wildest ride in the wilderness.
Tunnel signals our transition from the frontier to another kind of ear.
The ones you'll find on Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
Our next stop is Tune Town Depot, official train station for Mickey's Tune Town,
the cartoon home where Mickey, Minnie and all their friends live.
Tune Town Depot is also the gateway to Fantasyland.
All right, friends, remain seated.
I'll have made April and complete stop for meditation.
This is make you too dancing best for people in a fancy land.
Right here in the Venice Not Theater, we have the movie's best day ever.
You're really to go on a small railway railway and much more.
This will be your destination.
But please do not stand up until the truce-based at all time.
Keep your hands at the train.

Thanks for joining us on the Disneyland Railroad.

What, friends, and welcome to the favor.
For your security, permanence, sat down, and maintain the hands,
and lasos, feet, and pyrnas, and under the train.
And, look, to the little.
Thanks.
As we leave Tunesown Depot, we get a real nice view of the happiest land of the mall, fantasy land.
You can see people stepping onto it's a small world just below us.
And off in the distance, majestic Matterhorn Mountain.
Into the future, to a land inspired by visions of tomorrow, both practical and imagined.
Here you'll find rocket ships and star spears, submarines and astroblasters.
Overhead, maybe a glimpse of a March 7 monorail.
This is the latest version of the first daily operating monorail system in the entire Western Hemisphere,
gliding above Disneyland since 1959.
Below the monorail and us are the fun-filled roadways of the autobia.
Drivers of all ages can get behind the wheel of these cars, no experience or license required.
If you're into soaring spaceships or doing battles,
with evil empires and emperors,
Tomorrowland is definitely
the place for you.
Speaking of this,
we're pulling into Tomorrowland Station right now.
If you're leaving us here,
just stay seated until we come to a full stop.
Gather your belongings,
including lightsabers and astroblasters,
and step carefully from the train.
Thanks, and have fun in the future.
All right,
all right, I'm turning,
you've made a full leg of these off of expectations.
Since this is tomorrowland station,
Your home for the speed of mountains,

Please do not stand up
for the train completely stops moving.
Thank you.
What time is, um,
I'm joking about it?
No.
No?

Our next stop will be Main Street, USA.
But first, put a go-throughs of the dark tunnels up ahead.
Please be aware that our diorama is currently being refurbished,

For favor, not to me photographs with flash.
We know it today, but it wasn't always this way.
Now, let's travel back in time, waiting back in time,
to the fantastic past of the primeval world,
land of the dinosaurs.

This will also be your stop for the park exit,

It's always a great day here in the park
no matter what the conditions, no matter what the weather.
Let's see what else the day might bring us.
Will I come with me? Let's go.
Well, the park is surprisingly quiet today.
I'm guessing it's because school's back in session for most of Southland.
So there was no weight at all to get into the nightmare before Christmas holiday haunted mansion

So let's go have some fun with the holiday season.
Some time ago, longer now than it seems,
in a place that perhaps you've seen in your dreams.
For the story that you were about to be told you began the holiday worlds of all.
I know you're curious to see what's inside.
It's what happens when two holidays collide.
The story tale to begin.
Let's go.
Turn it back now.
Please come all the way in.
A story is a tale that's quite charming.
But during this season, it's sometimes alarming.
So relax and reflect.
Feel free to take pause while we tell you a tale about dear Sandy Clause.
Before Christmas and all through the house, not a creature was peaceful, not even a mouse.
The stockings all hung by the chimney that care, when open that morning would cause such a scare.
The children nestled off snub in their beds, would have nightmares of monsters and skeletons and skeletons.
