Greetings, travelers.
Welcome to another episode of Walk About the World.
I am your host today, Pete, aka Neverland Local.
And if you couldn't decipher, we are currently at Epcot.
Epcot Center.
In the future.
Future world, or what was future world. Today my goal is to walk
around Epcot taking in sounds of World Showcase of the neighborhoods here and
see what we can hear.
Will you join me on today's journey?
You got no choice, let's go. The first stop always has to be the fountain here in front of Spaceship Earth. Let's goodness. Okay, ready? Ready? Okay, ready?
Ready?
Okay, ready?
Ready?
Okay, ready?
Ready?
Okay, ready?
Ready?
Okay, ready?

Okay, ready? Ready? Okay, ready? Ready? Okay, ready? So typically the line here at Spaceship Earth is kind of an indication of how busy the park
is. Currently, wait time here at Spaceship Earth is 10 minutes.
So typically, not all the time, but typically that gives you a good indication of how many
people, how busy it is at the park, and 10 minutes not too bad. So it should be a great park day today. I'm going to go to the We're currently standing in the shadow of what will be the newest lounge here at Epcot. which sits between Spaceship Earth and the Walt statue. StSq2 2.60 It truly is great to come to the park in the morning, first thing in the morning, and see all of the guests and
cast members, everybody smiles on their faces saying hello, saying good morning to
everyone. It truly, truly brings out the magic.
Currently standing right outside of Mickey and Friends, newest location to meet characters.
To the left is the Florida Fresh and DJ and dance stage directly in front of us, CommuniCorps communicor hall with land in the background I'm sorry. So by going on today's journey, one thing that we will need to talk about, the elephant
in the room so to speak, when traversing World Showcase out of what used to be Futureworld, which way do you go?
Which direction do you take?
I mean, there's only one answer.
One obvious answer.
One correct answer.
If you know me, you know the correct answer. If you know me, you know the correct answer.
Which way do you go in World Showcase?
We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
We are currently heading in that direction.
We have the Imagination Pavilion to our right, and the, man I don't know the names of the
neighborhoods yet, the singing and song dancing neighborhood to our left.
Alright, we're continuing on the, we'll just call it the Imagination Pathway. Leads from Imagination to World Showcase.
Just passing Palayalong Bay. New playground here.
It's presented by Uncrustables. I don't see the free Uncrustables.
Would be a nice little treat this morning.
All right, so we are approaching World Showcase,
and what I had mentioned previous was
there is only one correct answer
on which way you go first.
That answer is Canada.
Canada is the correct answer,
it's always the correct answer.
Canada. Canada is the correct answer, it's always the correct answer.
Josh needed to edit that out. Passing the restrooms here in near World Showcase.
All right, one thing I want you to pay attention to when we do this Walk Through World showcase is the change in songs.
You'll know what country you're on based on that.
Morning.
That's great.
That's great.
That was a great Mickey impression.
Alright, so we made a right.
We're heading straight into Canada. We're at Freshman Port here on our right hand side.
And I'm just going to walk through and take in the sounds of Canada.
Maybe we'll get lucky and my favorite song in Canada will play.
By the way, if you know my favorite song in Canada, send a message to Walkabout with that name of that song. All the people that guessed correctly will pick
a name and we'll send some cool stuff out to you. I got you guys.
So as we peruse these countries here in World Showcase, what is your favorite
country to walk through here in World Showcase? Or maybe it's your favorite
because of the food or the
drink or anything like that. Why am I going to get in the salvation on this? Oh no, I didn't see that. Look, we're on our way. We're in.
What?
There are ants now.
We're in.
Oh, wow.
That's so good.
I have like this, you know,
strawberry, banana
and, um,
strawberry.
I just realized after the fact that I probably can't eat them all....berry, banana, strawberry, and I ate it.
I just realized after the fact that I probably didn't eat it.
So we're currently passing the Canadian stage on our right hand side heading towards the UK Pavilion. subtle music change occurring We got Shakespeare's garden on our right. Take a photo of that for you.
And the ever-popular Rosen crown on our left-hand side, currently not open...yet.
I'm sure it'll be open very soon. We got the English tea garden tour in the tea caddy on our right-hand side in the
Yorkshire County fish shop here on our
left hand side.
And that UK, I'm assuming it's a flute.
Don't come at me if it's incorrect.
But something so peaceful about Epcot in the morning.
All right, so we're coming up on the third direction That you could pop into here in Epcot, which is the International Gateway
People coming from the yacht, the beach club, the boardwalk, the Skyliner, the boat, Swan and Dolphin
That is their entrance You're in America. We're ready. Good night.
Good night.

Primes. Primes. Primes. Primes. Primes. Primes. Primes. Primes. Primes. Primes. Primes. Primes. Primes. Primes. Primes As we pass over the bridge, kind of around this corner here and over another bridge,
we'll be facing directly at France, home of the Ratatouille ride, as well as some of the
best ice cream you'll have on property.
And no, I'm not going to attempt to say the name of that place be, it's a great idea if you've never been to a park,
first thing is to
kind of just walk around. Not going into any shops or restaurants or attractions.
Get the lay of the land but also if you want those pictures because it's the
best time of the day to take photos. People are running around and getting
into their rides and grabbing food and drink super early. Now is the time to grab some photos,
unobstructed views of people, places, and plants, and flowers, and things.
All right, so as we passed France,
As we passed France, we are now headed into kind of an in-between between France and Morocco. Because we are here during the International Flower and Garden Festival.
This is La Isla Fresca.
A little in between between France and Morocco.
Wanted to note that so you're not like, hey, this is some Moroccan music.
Also got to take a picture of Miss Peggy and Kermit the Frog.
We'll snap a photo change for you. Into Morocco.
So much to see and do in this pavilion.
Just when you think you've seen it all, turn another corner and see some more of Morocco.
Heading into the next country.
Who knows their Epcot World Showcase map layout.
What country do we have next?
You should be able to tell by the music when it changes.
["The Star-Spangled Banner"] Oh I think so. Well, if you guessed Japan, you would be correct.
We are in Japan. We have the Koi pond to our right and walking a path up and around the water.
Super peaceful. It's a great place to duck into when it gets super hot in the
parks. So many places to sit and hang out. I'm gonna take a photo of one little seating area that I do
enjoy the most back here. Make sure we post this one for you.
Great.
Great. Also up here is Ketsura Grill.
And that music you hear, the tones you hear. what I'm looking at here.
Can anyone decipher what that is? I'm not really picking it up very well. You know, Dizzy doesn't just do stuff. There's always a reason for what they do, or there's a meaning, or anything like that.
They don't just make music to make it.
Odds are that that is a song, a Disney song of some kind.
Alright guys, we're headed out of the gardens, back to the World Showcase Paraminade. Now if this was smell about the world, you'd know exactly where we were.
Based on the funnel cake stand to our right.
What it is walk about. Yes, we are in the American Pavilion. Funnel cake stand hits you as you walk in.
The American Adventure Liberty Theater to our right hand Currently holding concerts nightly here in the stage during the festival. Always a good time.
As we see Joffrey's in the front, to our right there is kind of like a big space with the gate to backstage.
And what that area is usually for
is what they call Character Palooza.
Characters, Disney characters throughout the day
will pop out of there, meet and greet guests,
take photos, sign autographs.
So you never know when they're gonna pop out. So if you're in this
area and you walk by their area, stop and take a peek. See if they're back there. Sometimes
some very rare characters pop out there, so keep your eyes peeled. Can you tell by the music where we are at this point?
We have made it to Italy, Home of the pizza window. Home of the smelliest gift shop on property.
I don't say that in bad light, but it truly is. You walk in there, it's a lot. Currently, Currently one of the towers is under scrim. Oh my god, it's a dog!
Morning! Morning. All right, coming up to a lot of people's favorite thing here in World Showcase.
That would be the trains in Germany currently running looks like two two trains three trains smoke
stacks smoking
And yes, we are in Germany currently. Also keep your eyes peeled on those trains.
You never know what characters you will see. Wink wink.
German Apkot is home to grapefruit beer. It's home to the beer garden restaurant, large pretzels, Werther's candy, and some amazing
German desserts. We We do hope that you are enjoying this walkabout today.
And as we say all the time, let us know if there's ever a walkabout that you want us
to do.
Just send them a message.
We love hearing from you.
All right, let's keep going with the walkabout here.
We are leaving Germany, and we are entering,
I guess not an official country on In World Showcase, but it has become a staple here in World Showcase as it has
the refreshment outpost and Amani Village Traders Africa also where you
can perfect your drumming skills. Please don't.
It also houses the bridge that goes up a couple times during the day, so just know
you may be waiting at the bridge here when the boats come up to the lagoon
There's that music change The Snap a photo here for you of the China Pavilion, where inside you can go see reflections of
China.
It's a cool movie about China. So definitely stop here when
you are walking the promenade for some air conditioning and learn a little
something.
Alright, coming up on one of the busiest parts of World Showcase. Two of the busiest pavilions in World Showcase, Norway and Mexico.
Norway because it has the frozen ride and Mexico because it has tres caballeros as well as the tequila cave. The busy busy busy
I saw someone get this
I know
it was a long morning
in a good way, in a good way
but it's like, whoa
I mean, most people are like, this was your morning
I don't know if I'm drunk at all
I know you have the apple This was your most... I don't know. I don't know.
You have the apple.
Apple.
Here in the Norway Pavilion you can meet
Anna and Elsa.
No Olaf though. You gotta go to studios
for that.
A great pavilion nonetheless. The The next pavilion we have is Mexico, home of the Tequila Cave, home of the Grand Fiesta
Tour with the Tres Caballeros, home of some of the best nachos around, second best nachos around. Second-best nachos. First are obviously at Spitzel. Let's walk in
here to Mexico. Another great place to come into to get out of the sun, get some air conditioning, grab
a drink, grab some food, get on a cool little attraction. I'm sure going to go. Alright, we've got Chosa de Margarita to our right, and we have La Cantina to our left.
And this, my friends, is the end of today's Walkabout. We have traversed from the front of the park
past Spaceship Earth, some future world aka new neighborhoods that I don't know
the name of, sorry, and we have traversed the whole promenade, all the countries, heard some music.
And had a really good time, honestly. That's a great little walk mile mile and a half walk around the water
seeing all the things i get to smell all the things you get to hear all the things it's a win-win But yes, I do appreciate or we appreciate you guys joining us here on these
walkabouts. We do this to bring the sounds and sounds to you wherever you
