Hello and welcome to Watch What Crapins, a podcast about all that crap on Bravo we just love to talk about.
Today we are talking about the real housewives of Orange County.
I'm Ben Mandelker and joining me today on a very special reconnaissance mission going into the heart of this show.
It's the one and only Ronnie Karam broadcasting remotely from where?
Orange County.
Orange County. I'm in, oh, I was thinking, I was like, do I call it Anaheim or Orange County? I'm a Disneyland.
I was going to say, you're in Orange County. You're in the heart of Orange County. How's it going down there?
Good. I went last night to the beach with my family and looked at all the people passing by. It's just like the beginning of one of these shows.
Oh, beautiful. Well, do let us know if you happen to see John
Ben Padranti walking by or Tamara.
I saw a lot of Gent Padrantis.
Yeah.
Trust.
I saw about 30 Jim Pedrantis.
It's funny how when you're here, you're like, is that Chen Patranti?
Is that Jim Padranti?
Is that Carmela?
Because there's a lot of, you know, similar.
I think everybody's just so in shape and like done up and, you know, like the, they're all not their little skin suits walking on the beach.
They're bright pink skin suits.
And it is.
It really is like the opening of Orange County.
People playing volleyball, skateboarding, skateboarding by.
A lot of people doing physical activities and their skin tight clothes.
It's very, I'm glad they're comfortable.
Yes.
I'm glad they're comfortable as they walk along the beach with my husband, all those slots.
I try to steal my husband.
A lot of dogs and strollers, you know.
Okay.
This is one thing I really like where they're like, we're rich and my dog's not going to walk.
Well, in about a week in change, Ronnie and I are both doing two separate speaking engagements.
So you should come see us if you're in either of the respective cities.
Ronnie's going to be up in the Bay Area doing a cruise with Daisy and Hannah from Below Deck.
So go join that.
You can get the tickets for that on Daisy and Hannah's Instagram pages with their link in bio.
I'm going to be here in L.A.
And this, by the way, the same night, August 23rd, I'm going to be in L.A. in conversation with Martin Sorge, who is the author of Great Bakes, a cookbook. And that's going to be at Friends and Family in Hollywood. And tickets for that are go to the now serving website for the cookbook shop in Los Angeles. Both events will be great. So you need to have like a Bravo moment, a below deck bravo moment with Ronnie and the stews. Or you can have a baking moment.
with me and Martin.
And Martin won one of the great
American baking shows, which is really cool.
So come join us for that.
I think it'll be really cool.
And then I'll be also of our Patreon,
patreon.com slash watch Rock Rapins.
And we did a trailer trash
of the new Real Housewives of Salt Lake City
trailer this week.
So if you want to see us break it all down,
check that out on Patreon.
So that's all the good stuff.
Now let's get into
what I'm, let's see,
It's an episode in Vegas.
They go to a restaurant called Carmela.
Is this next gen New York City?
Oh, no, it's Orange County.
We're having our second episode in two days that takes place in Vegas at the exact same restaurant.
So Bravo's been doing this a lot.
We've had like a series of Halloween episodes all of a sudden.
And now we're literally having episode.
We had McB Dynasty in Vegas last week.
Now we have two shows in Vegas this week.
It's time to, you know.
know, let's mix up some of the options, storytelling options here, right?
Yeah. It's pretty good, though, because this is a classic Shannon episode where
Shannon is just starting to lose it because I am near an electromagnetic.
I hear it. It's coming through my bones. It's coming through my teeth.
By the way, I am in a hotel, and I'm right by the ice machine and the air conditioner here.
blows like this. So if my sound is a little weird today, that's why. It's coming through my
air trumps. It's getting my brain. Nobody understands me. I'm not a crazy person.
Is electromagnetic fields affecting your head right now? So we start now, like there's like a cold
open. We're at Vicki's house and Emily, Vicki and Tamara are talking about going to Vegas,
and Vicki's like tending to her wounded knee. She's having a battle over her
over her wounded knee.
And Vicki is like, oh, my God, look how bad at this area
is just bulging out.
And Emily's like, what's your plan to navigate Vegas?
Debbie Downer.
Yeah, back in Vegas, it's gonna be way too much for you.
You're gonna have a copy.
Vick is like, okay, I'll put the other bed to do this,
camera.
Vicki hobbling around this entire season is so season 20 of the O.C.
It's just like this is what we are now.
Just, it's just a problem.
Hobbling through season 20.
Yeah, I, um, I feel so bad.
I feel bad for everyone who came into the season expecting, like, a dynamite season.
Um, I just knew it was gonna, I knew it was gonna be a tough one.
Just the fact that they kept Emily and Gina.
And Emily and Gina are trying to do this cosplay.
as if oh no we're not a dynamic duo we are mad at each other but we also insist that we have to be in the
same room i'm like stop trying to stop trying to cater to the audience of people being like we're
sick of emily and gina by pretending to have a fight come on you guys love each other yeah yeah
but you know the whole like this could be good without emily and gina i mean we've been saying that
for eight years so it's like tradition now it is tradition look there have been really good seasons
that they've been a part of but i just think that they are i think there are people with herpes
who still have good days you know what i mean they're just not they're not i don't know i don't know
something's not something's not happening the whole thing down is the point but yeah maybe they just
need some time to cook not not gina and emily because i mean come on how long do you need to
leave something in the oven before you're like it's just not working
The turkey is too frozen.
But, you know, maybe the season just needs some time to cook.
It's only episode six.
Yeah, I mean, that's absolutely fair.
I just think there's some warning signs.
I think Carmela, she's sort of giving one season housewife.
She's sort of reminding me of Peggy Tannis and, you know, Vicki's not really doing anything.
Shannon is overacting.
The only one is really, I think Heather and Tamara are the ones that are really trying to, like,
make a go at this i think they're also the two most interesting people on the cast at this point i
think that like my dear shannon who i love like one of my favorite housewives of all time i think
she's just like now gone to cat skills schick like 100 and um which by the way is not hard to get her
out of that we just need someone to um to like trigger her agonize her
someone to see us has to agonize her and then we get peak shannon again she's very easily like
brought back to a peak but the rest yeah most people have like trigger warnings we have trigger
requests you know like can we get some request for shannon let's get some shannon karaoke going
here but today we got one you know shannon's back on track for me with her oh i'm you're an
elevator nobody is listening that's my favorite thing i was crack up watching that
so let's get to it shall we're um so emily they're still talking about going to Vegas they're going
through Vicki's greatest lines. Are you going to whip it up in Vegas, Vicki? Oh, God, shut up.
Last week, we missed a recap. So sorry to everybody for that. But she kept walking around going,
who do I got to who do I got to whoop it up to get a woohoo around here? She kept saying it over and over,
like, that's her new thing. Who do I got a whoop. I'm not a Debbie Downer. By the way,
of anyone accusing anyone of being a Debbie Downer, the fact that it comes from Emily,
normally I would say that's rich, but maybe we'll say that's got, it's got a nice bank account.
But like, come on, Emily.
She's the queen Debbie Downer of this show.
Yeah.
So, Tamara's like, yeah, you're a deba-dibaba, baby.
She's like, oh, yeah, I'm the Debbie Downer.
Look what a sense of humor have about that.
I'm not sympathetic.
It's really you, Gina, we're like having words.
Like, I thought, Judea was really bad.
And I thought you were really bad, too.
And Emily's like, it was really bad.
I'm very upset.
Look at me having a plot.
Yeah, well, it was just really bizarre.
Yeah, I was very surprised when Gina said I threw her under the bus after I threw her under the bus.
And we see that because the other thing that happened is that what we may have touched on a little bit is that there's this stupid scandal over the Christian Dior Club.
that came with a vibrator and uh gina's like that's weird and then emily's like yeah carmella gina
says it's really weird and she had a lot of words to say about it she said it about you and then she's
like what why am i being accused of throwing anyone under the bus yeah because it started with emily
being like well would she give me a purse it's three thousand dollars trying to buy people's
friendships who is us and so she's telling jena all this stuff she's like yeah who gets someone a big
the $3,000, they're like that plus one to a party.
Like, nobody even knows her.
Nobody even knows her.
If Emily had presented it to, and then she.
Emily, 100% did.
If, if she had, if Emily had presented it to Gina like, oh my God, I love this girl,
Carmela.
She is so hilarious.
She got me a Dior clutch, which is fabulous.
And then she put a vibrator in it too.
I love a girl who just knows out of a fun time.
It's just like hilarious.
You know, but like, oh, my God.
That's like so classic.
But clearly she pitched it like.
The way we saw her pitch it to Heather, which is, she got me a clutch.
And then there was like a vibrator too.
And I'm like, try to understand.
Like, what is you trying to say?
And then Gina's like, yeah, that's like weird.
Yeah.
So last week they got in an argument about it.
She's like, why would you throw me under the bus?
Emily, that's crazy.
And so that's what they're fighting about.
And it was so bad that Emily and Gina have not spoken since then.
It's crazy.
Well, Orange County ever be the same?
I might not be.
So now we go over to lymphatic.
Well, there was some other stuff about like that they're going to go to Vegas.
So, okay.
And then now we go to lymphatic by Siam.
And Jen and Shannon.
The name of places in Orange County really need to be worked on.
And we've talked about this for years.
There are a lot of just oddly named places.
Lymphatic?
I don't know.
It sounds like.
lymphatic drainage or lymphatic massage or lymphatic pleasures lymphatic um solve solutions or something
but just lymphatic by cn i would call lymphatic curtain there lymphatic curtain think about it
everyone lymphatic curtain by seeing so jenn and chan are going to get Brazilian lymphatic drainage
Jen's like, oh my God, thank you so much for this.
Shannon, have you ever done a Brazilian lymphatic?
And Shannon's like, is that like in the vagina?
And then the woman at the front desk is like,
it's not on that part of the body.
Lady, it's called, you put Brazilian in it.
And then you could put everyone into like tiny gene strings.
Don't shade our sweet Shannon for making that assumption.
Well, it's either your vagina or your butt,
because there's a Brazilian butt lift,
and then there's a Brazilian wax.
That's fair.
Could be either end.
Either side.
Either end, either side.
What's horizontal?
Okay, so they go to their room to change, and this is a wacky Shannon scene like,
whoop, boop, I'm getting plastic on me.
I'm going into a red machine.
Oh, oh, oh.
Oh, hey, I'm here to, I'm here to get a Brazilian.
and oh.
Shannon who
Shatted does not want
electromagnetic radiation from elevators
getting too close to her head, but she's
willing to like put herself in like a
infrared phone booth and
get zapped in all the nether regions.
She's fine with going into a life-sized
like checkout scanner at a grocery store.
I know.
So I just want to talk about Vegas a little bit.
I've never hosted the girls, so I'm taking them somewhere that I know is fun.
As much as Ryan and I have spent in Vegas, we have a lot of good connections.
Like, I know I'm going to show these girls a good time.
I think even Heather may be impressed.
I'm just going to check my notes.
I have a star chart here and a fortune cookie.
No, the answer is Heather will not be impressed.
Heather will not be impressed.
There is nothing you can do to impress Heather in Las Vegas.
You can take her to Grand Lux Cafe, and Heather will have already been to.
Randlock's restaurants.
Yeah, Heather's not going to be impressed.
And I like when Jen said,
Oh, we have so many,
Ryan has so many connections in Vegas.
We know.
Didn't he just testify against his gambling-ass business partner a couple of years ago?
Yeah.
I don't know if Heather's going to be so impressed that Ryan's got the connect at the
Golden Nugget Casino,
like she gets an extra bucket of shrimp cocktail.
hell.
So Shannon's being wacky and talking about how she used to duct tape herself to look thinner.
And then we see flashbacks to Shannon getting wrapped in duct tape going.
Okay.
So then Jen, so Shannon's talking about how she's so grateful.
It's the Mecca, Orange County, the Mecca of Alternative, Healthy Treatments.
Heidi, I would like.
to have a body like my friend Jen. Do whatever you need to do.
Eddie's like, uh, that requires a lot of working out. How dare you? How dare you?
Hey, you, you know what I've been through. You know how hard this is for me right now.
I'm sorry. I don't understand the request. You don't understand the requests. That's probably
because you're sleeping with my husband. There I said it. I'm not afraid to say it. I will say the
truth because that's what I do. You will all hear the truth. All right, because Heidi is the virtual
assistant inside the infrared machine. So they're like, just tell Heidi what you want.
Heidi, I would like a piece and happiness and less stress. I do not know how to do that, ma'am.
Let me play you a song by Adele.
Heidi, hello, this is Shannon Maddoor here. Do you have any marketing strategies to get salmon,
stuffed with cream cheese to a larger audience? Thank you so much.
It's all about that base. That makes a business.
face, that face, no trebiz.
Oh, I'm so sick of that woman.
Please stop playing her every time I turn on my virtual assistant.
Um, so.
Still torturing me to this very day.
Years ago, I was like, why is it every time I turn on Amazon music?
They're playing some fucking Megan Trainers song.
I've had it.
It's still, it still happens.
Megan Trainor still comes on there all the time.
What is she still part of the culture?
What is she?
Uh, Megan,
trainer is still yes she's still popping up she I mean she's part of the toxic mom
group you know she's in that Hillary Duff Mandy Moore mom group that what's her face
rebelled against which I think is hilarious that of course Megan trainer is in there
I would like Megan trainer to what you say that Crystal rebelled against no that
was no no no no the toxic Ashley um what's her face from high school musical I want to say
Ashley Parker Angel but that's not the same
name Ashley. Tisdale. Yeah, yeah. Tisdale. Now that's someone they should put on one of the
Real Housewives because she could like, she could regale everyone with what it's like to
be traumatized with friend groups like Kay Michelle. It's time for a commercial. It's time for a
crap and it's commercial. Well, let's go to a place called the Goldfinch and Heather, Gina, and
Carmella get drinks. Very good book. I made it about a quarter of the way through before
I realized I'm probably too stupid for this book.
I never read it.
I wish I had because I would make a great literary joke right now.
But, yeah, so Heather, Gina and Carmela arrived at the goldfinch, and Gina's looking around like, oh, my God.
I've only been to the plastic finch.
This is like so nice, Heather.
Thanks for inviting me.
Oh, my God.
This is crazy that you're bringing me here because last night, me and Travis, I made dinner for the family, and we had goldfish.
I wish America would finally catch up to Europe.
We need purse duels.
Okay, Gina, get on all fours.
All right.
And I guess that's close enough.
I love that Heather's only worried about the purse tools.
I mean, that could have meant so many things.
I wish we would just catch up to Europe.
I mean, healthcare.
Let's just start there.
Environment, food quality.
We need purse tools.
We need purse tools.
America really needs to.
to get it together right now. I need somewhere to put my purse. Okay, thank you. The most
they're depressing. Excuse me, Alfredo. Alfredo, Table 13 over here. Is there another floor to this
restaurant that has purse tools in it? We'd like to be at that section. Thank you.
Yeah, actually, that's true. Because when I was in Paris with Emily, they got bringing that
something to put our purses on. I was like, wow. Do you think that they were just being ironic? Were they
trash cans. They were just probably bringing over chairs to be like, let's take all the Americans at the same small communal table.
Please bring this woman's something to put her zip lock on top of. No, seriously.
Here's a tool for you to put your hefty bag full of laundry on while you eat your muscles.
So, uh, there's like, well, well, just keep rubbing that in that trip to Paris.
Let's see your friendship bracelet.
Can't wait to see that.
Wow.
Let's just go over another way I've been left out in this group before we even have appetizers.
Heather DeBrow, this is the saddest thing you've ever done, which is complain about being left out of Heather and Gene.
I mean, uh, Emily and Gina's friendship.
Like, you can't go from last season bragging about being next to our neighbors with
Drake to the season saying like, wow, they just never hang out with me. Like just let them,
let them have their economy plus friendship. And you just go hang out with your wine friends again.
Yeah, it's just not a relatable storyline, but it's very Heather. Like, you know who else is
thinking, God, I wish I could get more of Gina and Emily's relationship. Nobody. Nobody's thinking.
Nobody's out. You're the first person who's ever said. I actually do really like the sentiment,
behind Heather storyline because I think that's actually a really like universal thing that can happen for some for some of us, which is like I'm looking for my buddy. I'm looking for my people like I'm in this group, but I don't have that person. Everyone else has that person. I think that's actually shockingly relatable that Heather has stumbled into the storyline. I just don't need to see it applied towards Heather and Gina. Like apply it to literally anyone else, but not Heather and I'm sorry, not Emily and Gina.
Well, it's rough for Heather because she had that whole season where she's like,
Gina, I'm going to take you in.
I'm going to buy you a leather jacket.
And I'm going to go through your crawl space.
And look at your old wedding dress and talk to you into getting rid of it.
You know, she did that whole charity season where she's like, look at me, normal Heather.
And she still didn't have a friend.
Yeah.
That's actually, that's really.
I actually feel so bad. I feel mad by Heather because I actually feel like I can see it all over her. And we actually find out that this is, this race is all the way back to her childhood. She just wants a best friend. Oh, well, money it is. So, um, unfortunately, she's also Heather. She's Heather. Yeah.
What do you do?
She's so funny.
So Heather is really upset that they went to Paris without her.
And Heather's like, you're just going to pick a scab over here over and over again.
I never want to feel left out.
I'm probably never going to get over with this Paris thing.
Seeing two poor people have the better time in Paris than me or rich person, it just doesn't make sense.
Yeah, Heather does not want to go to Paris with these two.
I mean, come on, even on a cast trip, she'd be like, oh, gosh.
That's French, by the way.
That's French.
Emily, are you literally picking a scab right now?
Well, you brought it up.
Weird, weird much.
Let me tell you what going to Paris with Emily and Gina is.
It's 16 straight hours of them standing at a respectable distance from the Eiffel Tower and taking a picture as if they're poking the top of it.
Okay, now you do it.
Okay, I want to do it.
I want to do it.
I want to do it again.
I want to do it again.
Look, if I stand like this and you take a picture, it looks like the Eiffel Tower is picking my nose.
You got it?
Hold on.
I want to lean like this.
It looks like I'm leaning on the Eiffel Tower.
Is it like, does the optical illusion look on camera?
You know, half their time is spent trying to find in and out like T.J. Max.
Yeah.
In Paris.
And then doing goofy things like Emily eating your crepe, but letting half the crepe dangle off her
and like, what is this food?
I thought it was like a pancake.
Can I get your name for your coffee?
Emily, I'm Emily in Paris.
Emily and Paris.
Emily and Paris.
Coming soon to Netflix.
Gina tells us, I mean, doesn't Heather have her own plane?
Like, can't she just go anytime she wants to Paris?
Maybe we need to go to Paris while we're in Las Vegas.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
That's the sort of comedy you will get when you hire me, Heather Dubrow, to be your buddy.
Only the lines like that only come from television stars like me, Heather Dubrow.
Because when she said that, she really did to, uh, maybe we need to go to Paris in Vegas.
She did her 80s.
It was like a smile to the camera.
It was like end of episode, created by Paul Junger Witt, you know.
Yes.
So.
But by the way, what did you guys think of our dinner last night?
And Carmela, who's actually been here this entire time, was fun.
So Gina's like, what are you going to do with Jan, by the way?
Because the big, the other thing that happened last episode is to me a rather humdrum revelation that the women are totally
scandalized by, which is that Carmela invited Jen to like come join her on a project because
Jen's like, I'd like to, I'm interested in that. She's like, oh, well, come on my project.
I'll show you some stuff. And they're like, what? How could Carmela do that? What is that?
She's not even a real developer. And Jen's not a developer. She does yoga and parking lots.
How could they? I think that they were more scandalized by the fact that Carmel
is like, oh, yeah, she's going to come help me decorate a house and pick out tiles. I love empowering
women. I'm going to pay her like $20,000. Oh, yeah, there was that. Like, what? 20,000.
No, that is buying friends. Now, on the other hand, I think Carmela is just trying to be nice and make
friends, you know, and Heather's been on this show trying to make friends with her money for years,
you know, but they did have a problem with Heather doing it too, like they did call Heather out
too. So I guess fair is fair.
Well, yeah, she probably should not have announced how much she was going to pay Jen.
But the truth is with this group, you're sort of screwed because if you don't pay enough, it's like she's taking advantage of Jen.
She's only paying Jen $5,000.
That's like crazy.
And then if you pay it too much, it's like, oh my God.
She's like trying to buy a friendship.
Like you really have to get your pricing down.
Otherwise, they'll always have an issue.
And the thing is that the one who always has an issue with any of this stuff is always going to be Gina.
Everyone else, like, literally doesn't...
I don't think that Heather cares.
I don't think anyone cares.
And Emily, they always care about this.
Because they're the ones who are living...
They always care about stupid things.
Yeah, they're the ones living in, like, split-level, you know...
They're not even split-level ranches.
They're just little generic houses, like, perfectly nice, cute houses, but they're not, like, in mansions.
So they're the ones who are most sensitive to financial things.
Yeah. But they're right that none of this makes sense.
I mean, we're seeing Ryan's house where Jen lives now, and that's a very nice.
house but let's think back to Jen's original house where she was living before she moved in
with her with Ryan that was not that was a very that was it's just not known for it's she's not
known for her taste i mean a couple of weeks ago the whole plot line was let's go through Jen's
terrible closet of ugly clothes and make fun of how hideous her taste is and now it's like you know
what she just should pick out tiles for a house i trust this woman wearing a feathered
turtleneck mini micro mini you know but carmel is going to teach her things guys it's all like
you got to start somewhere it's called tutelage all right like yeah i think that's you know i think listen
quite frankly i think the de york clutch it was too much i think the vibrator i think she was trying
to have a gag moment whatever i think twenty thousand dollars is a huge amount to pay to someone
who has no experience and possibly terrible taste but i think overall
this is how she decided to squander her money.
So just let her squander her money.
If she's doing it to try to win over the hearts of these people, good for her.
Because if she didn't, we already see how hostile they are to her anyway.
So, like, I don't know.
I think they just need to zip it.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think she's ultimately being nice.
Listen, at least she's trying to be friends.
She's not immediately doing what a lot of people do, which is try to come in and make drama
and villainize people.
You know?
Yeah.
She's actually pretty good at just waiting for them to fuck with her.
And because then she's going to, she's like, she's going to eat Vicky up at some point.
Right.
She will.
In the previews for the season that she's going to let Vicky have it, which, you know, she's just waiting.
She's like, here's the rope.
Just keep taking the rope.
And she, you know, they came for her.
Gina came really hard for her last episode.
And I was a little disappointed that, Carmela.
I felt like let her off at the end, you know, because, you know, it's like, oh, well, I didn't
feel bad.
And I want to get to know you.
And Carmel's like, geez, okay, great.
Well, I'm glad you told me.
I'm really glad you told me.
I'm like, no, be like, fuck you, bitch.
Why are you calling me out, shoulder pads?
So anyway, Carmel is.
That's true.
But she, I think she really is slow.
I'm hoping, fingers crossed.
I'm giving Carmela a lot of, you know, hope here.
But I hope that she is just slow playing this because there's nobody who grew up.
Well, not grew up.
Sorry, that's gross to say it that way.
But there's nobody who came up in the Hugh Hefner world of, like, living in all that weird housing with all of those bunnies and doesn't know how to stand up for herself against other women.
Like, she's going to be, she's going to be able to take care of it.
So I'm just waiting for her to handle it.
Yeah, I would like to see that.
So Carmela, they're wondering.
So again, Gina asked Carmela, what's going on with Jen in this whole situation?
And Carmela was like, well, you know, she goes, I thought about getting into real estate and I said, you should try a project with me and I'll show you what I do what I do and for her to actually get like to, you know, to learn the process because I think that would be kind of like a good value for her.
And Heather goes, that makes more sense.
Like, that's exactly how it was last episode too.
She's like, I want to just do for something.
She looked at the $20,000 part.
So Heather's like, oh, that sounds good.
Brace like that, that sounds great.
Well, I am all for women helping women, which is why I start every season going after women, like the time I went after Jen for being born, not being able to afford a rent, or for the fact that, like, I started this season, questioning whether you're actually a developer because of, for no reason whatsoever.
So I'm all about that.
But, like, Carmela does require capital, and Jen does not have that capital to support that kind of business.
So now, so last episode, they were mad that Carmela was paying Jen 20,000.
And now Gina thinks that Carmel is going to have, that Jen's going to have to pay Carmela.
Okay.
Well, basically, they're mad that she, they think that they're, she's using, she's ultimately using Jen because she's saying, okay, I'll give you $20,000.
But it's for the connect to Ryan, who's rich.
And then Ryan can develop projects with her.
So they're saying she's kissing ass by trying, she's trying to kiss ass to get money from Ryan, to which I say,
Gina, isn't that why you were kissing Heather's ass?
I mean, that was literally one of the storylines on the show was you being called out for saying something like, I'm not going to fuck with Heather.
Like, my business is real estate.
And those are all my connections.
It's through Heather.
How else am I going to sell something that's not an old person's home condo?
Yeah.
And Gina would probably push back and saying, I never said that.
I had there's a real friend to which I then say exhibit the Elizabeth Fargis.
So, like, you have a history of cozing up to.
wealthy women. And by the way, you should because that's what you do in real estate. So that's the
thing that's like if Carmela is using Jen to get to Ryan's money, sure. Like that's what
she's doing. Like that's what, you know, like I, I just think that like, honestly, Gina's just
jealous. Gina is wildly jealous. Now Jen is getting money out of this. Emily got a clutch
and Gina's got what? A cocktail napkin? She's very upset to be left.
of this cash flow.
It's annoying.
And it's like, what are you going to get mad at a customer service line for asking you to press two for Spanish?
No, it's what they do.
It's in their nature.
That's exactly.
She's a salesperson.
She's going to go for her lead.
And that's it.
It's the classic story of the scorpion and the frog.
In this case, the scorpion has a call center and asks the frog if it needs to speak Spanish.
It's in its nature.
Yeah.
So Tamara's like, well, I mean, actually I kind of agree.
She didn't have real estate license.
She doesn't have general contact license.
It's not like you can just go out and say, I'm going to get a job with the development because I should have a car marijuana.
No, but she can go out and start flipping houses if she sees how to flip a house.
You don't have to have all these licenses to flip a house.
Maybe she'll be inspired to get her license.
Like, are people not allowed?
to on ramp onto a new career.
So Gina's like, you know, it's kind of like skipping a couple steps.
And I like also kind of feel like,
Kamala should know that.
I'm like, she's fucking shadowing Carmela.
Carmela is being a mentor to her.
I mean, Carmela could wind up being a complete, you know, crook.
And I hope, in fact, I hope she does.
I would love that.
But quite frankly, this is just Gina being wildly jealous.
Yeah, I'm saying skipping a couple of steps, picking out tiles is literally the first step.
They're like, oh, hang on.
She gave, she gave, she gave, she gave, um, she gave Jim Petrante the contract to build the freeway overpass. That's dangerous. It's like picking a tile. Calm down.
I know. Seriously. Relax yourself. So, um, Heather's like, oh, Carmella.
What does your boyfriend do?
Is he in television? Is he Drake?
And Carmela's like, oh, he's a general contractor.
Oh, so do you guys work together?
So Carmela's like, well, we've worked together in the past.
It just doesn't work.
We fight.
And like, I don't want to bring that home to my kids.
So I just moved away from my kids so that I can really just not be around the fighting at all.
It's great.
Yes.
And by the way, on something that has never been said to Wendy Malik after wrapping
an episode of a TV land sitcom, I thought you were great last night. It's hard to be at a table
with this group and have people firing things at you. Yeah, and I was like so happy that we had time
to talk about things face and videos, but like Shannon was really getting on my nerves because she
kept saying so much stuff. And Heather's like, oh yeah, Shannon was very mad at you. There was a running
commenter. Well, it was Shannon said it was a walking commentator. Shannon.
There was a lying down yet still falling over and waving her arms going,
oh, commentary.
Very upset.
Yeah, I was like, I was like waiting to talk to Carmela and like I wanted to hear from
Carmela why she bought the gift and it was like,
Shannon just kept like wanting to speak fun.
It was like irritating.
Gina, you're, you came in hot and you basically attacked Carmel at this table and you put
her like on blast and Shannon's like defending her and now you're like,
I can't believe Shannon was like acting this way after you were the one being the monster at the table.
And now you're going to reframe it like, oh, you and Carmela were just having some civil, polite conversation.
And you just ask some polite questions and just wanted to hear from Carmela.
You're making accusations and you're being downright rude to her.
And Shannon's like, don't do that.
She's my fellow sister from Rancho Santa Rancho.
And, you know, and like.
Like, I'm sorry, I will not accept this reframing.
Yeah, Mom, it's Gina for you.
She's like, I'm just so innocent.
Shannon's risk.
Shannon really does me love.
Like, we're trying to get to know her.
Like, and I, she needs a voice.
And like, Shannon was, you know, trying to take away her voice.
I'm just standing up for the voiceless women of one counting against Shannon Bador, women voice killer.
Gina claiming that she's just trying to get to know Carmel.
And she needs to have a voice.
You are the one talking over Carmela.
You were the one railroading her.
And you were the one passing like all sorts of judgment on her based off of like just a shred of awareness of her.
So like I'm sorry.
I'm like,
kids for it.
So you know, like someone's like, oh, they keep pushing me down in soccer.
And, you know, there's always like the dad in the group who's like, yeah, you need to get up and you need to learn to fight.
That's how Gina's being right now, you know.
I can't believe that.
Like, let her take care of itself.
She's in a group of girls.
Like, she needs to learn how to fight us.
Like, fuck off.
She shouldn't have to, like, sit down in one of her, every single time, actually,
she gets with you guys that you're coming for her.
You know, she didn't do anything to you.
Now, this is the part that I love of recapping these shows.
We're standing up so hard for Carmella like now.
We don't know anything about Carmela.
And we are probably going to regret all of this in the future.
But for right now, we're not standing.
We're not standing up for curse.
Versus Gina and Gina sex the most.
Exactly.
We're not standing up for Carmela.
We're standing against Gina's sanctimonious claims.
So how do you?
I stand for women.
I'm not for women.
So Carmela's like, you are 100% right.
It is nice.
She was supportive.
And I did appreciate that she was supportive.
Yeah, it's just like weird because like that's like not really this Shannon that I know.
You don't know Shambador to like make a running quiet commentary under her breath.
Which is, well, that's not what I know.
What's like, well, I wouldn't say that.
Well, it just keeps it going.
I don't know. I mean, this is just like absolutely crazy.
I mean, I don't know what you were even talking about.
This is, I never seen anything like that.
Is that not Joffrey?
Well, someone has their cell phone a little bit close to my right leg, and I cannot feel my right leg now.
Okay, okay. It was my cell phone.
My cell phone's okay. It's fine.
You tart.
You tart.
Commercials. Here comes one right now.
We go back to Lymphatic by TartC.N.
And Shannon's like, well, I, I, did I mention that I've been hanging out a lot with Gina?
Anyway, let me go on.
I do feel bad.
I feel bad.
And I did start speaking for Carmela.
And I wanted to support her and to defend her.
You know what I'm saying, Jen?
Yeah, I thought that was so nice of you.
And Gina was on my ass.
I mean, talking to me like a little kid, I felt like I was getting scolded.
Get up my back.
You talk to, you talk for Emily all the time.
I'm going to let's talk to something, talk for somebody sometimes.
That's a woman who grew up in a rancho that had boats,
and she's probably familiar with boats, and I grew up on boats.
And everyone knows it, I have your pants.
We're all allowed to speak up for our buddies.
That's the first rule of having a buddy.
Oh, sorry, Heather.
So then Jen, uh, Jen is like,
My buddy, my buddy, wherever he goes.
It's not where he has.
Heather is. Heather could not even keep a my buddy doll. God bless her, little heart. Anyway,
let's attic by heart. I would like my butt lifted to my chin.
Cut to Heather DeBrow in 1984. Mother, this is not a my buddy. It's a Teddy Rucksbin. It is not my buddy.
I got you a my buddy. He ran out of the box and left. I'm so sorry, Heather. You were walking on a main road with my buddy and
Chappaqua. I'm sorry.
My buddy is revoked.
You cannot be walking on Route 172.
Jen is saying, Gina and Emily, I mean, like they were quipping at each other a little bit.
Well, she felt like Emily three were under the bus.
Well, I asked Gina at the wine tasting.
I said, are you okay with your friendship with Emily right now?
We really need to discuss your relationship with Emily.
What is going to happen with Gina and Emily?
We need to talk about it for five more episodes.
Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for this scene.
Thank you so much for lymphatic.
Cian.
Thank you.
Cian, that's short for Cian, that's Tart Convention, bitch.
So then Carmel.
Like, okay, Shannon, I don't know why you're so mad at Cian.
She shamed me about the Brazilian.
So Carmela is talking about.
back to goldfish
Carmela's like
Is Emily okay?
Because your conversation with Emily, that was a lot
Gina. She said, I know. Yeah, that was my
point. Like, I understand she's stras.
But like, she's got a lot of stuff going on at home, right?
We all do. But like, you've upset, Vicki.
Okay. Well, that's probably not the one to start your list.
List off. Crosswalks upset Vicky. Everything upsets
Vicki.
Um, uh, yeah, like you can't upset Victoria.
Like that's so mean to do that and like you've upset Heather and then you upset me.
And I'm just like trying to get you to see something and see that you've like,
your friend's feelings.
Um, but here's the difference. If anyone else had said that to you, you would have,
you know, you would have gone nuclear nuclear nuclear.
Like I know, I don't disagree with you, but I was trying to grant her grace because she's my best friend.
And that's why it's starting to irritate me.
Or if they say in French, like, please leave.
Or like, write to refuse service to anyone.
That means you.
You're disgusting.
Go.
Take your Ziplock with you.
Well, I never question Emily's loyalty to me ever.
And it does feel like when I'm not in rooms right now, she's like talking about me.
That's like an icky feeling.
What are you doing right now?
You're literally talking about Emily.
at Goldfinch.
In lieu of a purse stool,
in lieu of a personal,
you've got the ghost of Emily that you're just punching.
Yeah, so she goes on and on.
She's going to talk to Emily.
She wants it to be calm and blah, blah, blah.
So then we go to Emily's house,
and Emily and Shane are with Annabelle.
And they're like, whoa, we need you to move your clothes
because we're removing your room.
We're giving you a new room.
We had to give the boy stuff.
separate rooms and then my other kids feel terrible because my one kid has all these problems.
I'm like, geez, so now I have to be nice to the other kids.
They really were fucked over by that kid with problems.
I'm so sick of them.
Yeah.
I really think how Emily talks about her kids.
Is that weird?
Like, we talk about kids kind of in a harsh way on TV, and I know Emily is just like being a mom.
It's not really mom shaming.
It's just, yeah, I guess it is.
I don't like how she talks about her kids sometimes on TV.
I think it's like, it's too much.
Like, she goes from sharing way too much that she doesn't even know as a fact yet, like his diagnosis and all of this.
She's worried about, it's like she's not thinking like, what is he going to deal with at school from everybody else saying all this shit.
And now she's like, you know, all the kids, you know, I have to suffer because of him.
And I understand that her problems are real.
It's like I'm not even taking away from her problem.
I'm not making fun of her problem.
It's just erupts me the wrong way how she talks about her kid.
I just don't like it.
There.
There was a 20-minute way of saying it.
It doesn't rub me in the wrong way as much.
I feel like she's just saying like, this is what I'm dealing with,
and like it's difficult with kids, and they have different needs and whatever.
My only concern is that this, like, I would hate for this kid to,
I would hate for any of these kids to see this because I think they would,
I would just be as scared that they would take the wrong lessons from it.
You know, like, it's all my fault.
the family has so much so many like so much acrimony right now or like oh what about us i just i i just
feel like kids are so sensitive and i just i i would worry about unintended repercussions that's my
that's really my concern uh i i appreciate that she's being honest and telling us but that's kind of
my issue with it you know it's like yeah i appreciate it's yeah now the kids i don't well the other thing is like
you know for someone who is sitting here complaining that vicky is a debby downer which by the way
vicky is i mean this has been like you know every season with emily it's like my kid uh well like
there's an issue with my kid here's an issue with my mom she doesn't like me here's an issue
with the dog my doorknobs don't work it's like oh god every time we go to emily's interior life
it's just it's so it's so awesome it's so
awful.
Yeah.
So we have another scene with her and Shane, and basically they're getting a new room for Annabel.
Annabel doesn't want to live downstairs, but she's going to have to live downstairs.
And she even got a built-in, you know, makeup thingy, vanity or whatever.
So, yeah.
And so they're talking about that.
And Emily's saying, well, you know now have to deal with Annabel not liking a room.
She's like she'll like her room.
She'll be fine.
Okay, I love how you're just like, she'll be fine.
He goes, okay, yes, dear.
If that's all I can say, then yes, dear.
It's like, oh, God.
You know, it's just hard to find joy in each other.
There aren't a lot of soft things going on in my heart or soul, and it's just like very contagious.
Okay, well, it's funny that you say that because I feel like the viewers feel the same way.
So now we've got a car.
Not contagious, but, I mean, it is contagious.
You watch an Emily scene and it's like, oh my God, my life sucks.
I don't want to live behind the laundry room either.
Carmela, over at Carmela's world, she and Danny, her boyfriend, are sitting in the kitchen and she is talking about, I need window treatments.
I'm pretty sure the entire neighborhood is tired of seeing me naked.
It's like a fishbowl.
I'm like hungry.
I can't even think.
I'm eating cupcakes.
So she gives herself a shot.
This is really.
why I liked Carmella. I think now that I see it here in writing, this is what made me like her.
Carmela is like, I have onset adult diabetes of the diabetos, and it's like terrible. I could die
at any moment. I'm going to give myself this insulin shot, and then she eats pizza and cupcakes
on camera. And I'm like, yeah, that's my girl. Don't let that onset whatever bring you
down sister well or as it's called an orange county insulin curtain
lymphatic diabetes in the curtain
went for a third one everyone keep an eye in an ear out for this up we got to have a third
one before but by the time this episode it will happen we'll make it happen so she talks
about her a diagnosis as she eats tiny um nothing but the
which, God, I love those things.
God, I love those.
They are so good.
You do.
I really do.
We get them for every niece's birthday because they're all gluten-free, you know?
So love them.
They're a big part of my life.
Nothing but the cakes.
So then, okay, now let's get into it.
The real part of this scene is not disease or cupcakes.
It's this man you're with.
What are you doing, lady?
What are you?
This guy, Danny, first of all, it's Tom Sandeval's father.
I don't know why we're pretending his name is Danny.
He reminds me of Eric Estrada.
It's like a nice cross between those two.
Tom's hand to both dad and say Eric Estrada.
Very nice cross.
Very nice hybrid.
So they start talking about his infidelity because he cheated on her a few years ago.
has a wall of resentment, but she still loves him, and she must to forgive him. And he's like,
uh-huh, yeah, you know, I understand the anger, but I'm trying to fix these things. It's like,
oh, my God, you can't even see that I'm trying. It's just like, blah, blah, blah, fair, fair.
Jesus Christ, how many times can I not fuck somebody for you to trust that I'm not going to
fuck somebody else? Like, I haven't fucked anybody else for days now. What do you want for me?
It's been days and days and days.
She's like, but you were nice.
Here's the thing, when you were cheating on me, you were really nice to me.
Like, so I don't know what to do because now if you're nice to me, I'm like, are you cheating on me?
What do I do?
Do you want to pick out tiles?
That might help me.
He's like, babe, look at my penis.
Where is it right now?
Not inside another woman.
Exactly.
That's my point.
Okay, let's just, okay, help me pack to date.
so I can cheat on you and then you can know what it's like, okay.
This whole thing, I was like, oh, no, because she tells us, you know, like, we're trying to build rebuild trust, but then he just lies about everything.
And he lies about, like, insignificant things. Like, if you're going to lie about the color of underwear you have on, you're definitely going to lie about other things.
Yeah, then you should, if this man is like a compulsive liar and a cheater, and then Danny's like, what?
I don't even know.
I mean, I have not been that person in like for so long.
I'm a totally different.
It's four years.
You're not that different of a person, Danny.
You know, bangs make lie detector tests from last season's like,
let me have him. Let me have him. Oh, God. What color is your underwear?
Oh, yeah. Nailed him to the cross.
He lied to me about his underwear.
So she's saying he was there for me when my marriage fell apart.
And he saw what pain that was.
So did she meet him right after the merit?
I mean, I guess that's what that.
I guess so.
Right.
Because I heard that and I was like, were you cheating with Danny?
And now Danny's cheating and you're always wondering why Danny's cheating,
but you're more forgiving because you were cheating with Danny.
But that's all in my head.
She never said that.
I personally think a guy who comes and helps you pick up the pieces directly after you have
major heartbreak and you happen to be a playmate of the year,
they're going to be a very trustworthy person.
And I would not call them an opportunist or, you know, looking to get their dig wet.
So I think she has nothing to worry about.
I think everything's going to be fun.
Yeah.
One thing that's looking here is going to happen.
I feel like there's a lot of stability coming forth from this storyline.
So good for them.
Good for those guys.
Congratulations.
