Welcome back to We Are Chelsea, the official podcast of Chelsea Women, brought to you in association with Skoda,
the official car partner for Chelsea women and proud supporters of women's sport.
I'm N Warbank and today we are joined by two forwards who know exactly what the business end of the season means to Chelsea.
We've got a lot to catch up on, so let's get into it.
This is We Are Chelsea with Sam Kerr and Joanna Ritting Canerood.
Well, it's great to have you both back.
Hello, how have you been?
Good.
Lovely weather outside.
Oh, I know it's glorious, isn't it?
Bear garden weather.
I just want to be set out with PIMS.
It doesn't feel like it's been that long since I spoke to you last year.
And Sam, you were one of the first players I had on the podcast.
You've got married since I saw you last.
Really?
Yeah.
Wow.
Must have been a long time ago then.
Congratulations.
How was that?
Yeah, it was amazing.
Yeah, we were engaged for two years, so it was a long time coming.
But no, it was, sounds a cliche, but it was,
like the best day of our lives it was yeah really nice the photos were unreal like it was just
scenes upon scenes upon scenes and you both looked amazing as well thank you must have been a really
special day yeah it was good i think it was a really cool experience just i think waiting's amazing
because you have all you know your family and friends there and um just celebrating and yeah the night
was really quick to be honest so we wish we could replay it but um yeah it was amazing yeah and then
straight back in with with training straight after
Yeah, fortunately or unfortunately, on a plane the next day.
No, I mean, I knew that all along.
We wanted to get married at that specific time
just based on the fact that it made most of our guests be able to attend.
But yeah, it's life of a footballer, I guess.
Is it quite hard, like finding the best time to integrate life stuff with football?
What's that balance look like from your guys' point of view?
Yeah, I think we're so.
used to it. But of course it's like a big challenge every time you try to plan something.
It's like I'm sorry, I can't. Those dates is like literally these three weeks I'm available.
Yeah, this summer coming up is the first summer without a workout or anything. So at least we
will be able to do some stuff, which is like then you're really looking forward for that.
Where you going?
I don't know. There's a secret. The opportunity is there. How are you both doing? How are you finding training?
Yeah, I think training's good at the moment because it's nice and sunny and the schedule's been a little less packed, I guess.
But no, I think training has been enjoyable and, you know, we would have liked to have still been in the Champions League, of course.
But, yeah, it's nice to finish out the season strong and do it in the sun and have a little bit of fun with it.
Yeah.
Sam, you've also won the FIFA series with Australia over the international break.
Massive congratulations.
How was that experience?
Yeah, I think it was a really cool experience going to Kenya and experiencing their culture.
The FIFA series are new, I guess, so it was cool to be a part of something that's new.
And yeah, I think any opportunity you get to play with your national team is just a huge, like, honour.
So it was always great.
and it's always great, sorry,
and to go to somewhere I've never been in Kenya, it was fun.
Does it feel good to come back into Chelsea
with that momentum at this stage in the season?
Yeah, I think so.
I think those games were a little bit different to, like, club football,
though, they were very unique games.
But yeah, I think the momentum that Chelsea as a team
normally gets at the back end of a season
is always nice to be a part of.
So, yeah, I feel like the momentum going into the end of the season has been enjoyable to be a part of.
I mean, she came back, scored two goals, I think so.
Yeah, what an amazing run you've had recently because you've just had a great game against Everton.
Do you feel like you're really backing the rhythm of football at Chelsea now?
Yeah, I think so.
I mean, I like to improve still, but, yeah, I'm enjoying myself.
I think that's the main thing is when you come back from a long-term injury or being out,
you're overthink everything.
So I think I'm just back to playing football and enjoy.
myself and just going out there and having fun rather than worrying about other things.
Yeah.
Yo-Yo, you've had a bit of time out yourself recently. How are you feeling?
Yeah, now I finally feel like I'm back to normal. I mean, even if it's a big or a small injury,
it's always a bit of a challenge and it takes more time than you want some time.
And I'm not a person or a player that have a lot of patience. So, yeah, it's been,
I've been struggling. But yeah, it was good to go to Sweden, get some of
good rehab come back and then yeah be able to play some some minutes so now i finally feel like i'm back
into my my shape again yeah everyone who comes on the podcast says how competitive you are it comes up
at least once an episode do you think that means you find it even more frustrated when you can't be
fully out there with the team i think i got a real like wake up call watching the games from the
side and the feeling i had in my body like yeah i was so nervous
I had so much like going on inside my body, which normally when you're on the pitch, you can
affect, you can do something.
But sitting, just watching, it was so frustrating.
And I was so, yeah, I had my emotions all over the place.
So I think, yeah, I obviously been injured like three years of my career, so I know how it is to
sit outside.
But it's always, yeah, I think you really appreciate every day you're out on pitch, even more
when you get those, like, time away from football.
So, yeah, I mean, competitive or not, it's always, I always want to play football.
Yeah, and it's a lot of energy that you haven't got anywhere to put if you sat watching and you sat on the bench.
Yeah, I mean, you can talk to Nat and my friends stay.
I've probably been a pain in the last couple of weeks.
Sam, are you aware of yo-yo's competitiveness?
No.
Because it genuinely does, it comes up every episode.
Someone will bring up how competitive, whether it's games that you guys play on the bus,
whether it's stuff that you do.
someone always brings up how competitive yo-yo is.
To be fair, we're not-
Getting to play on the bus, yeah.
She can't compete with me and that's it.
We're not a good mix together, I think.
You, me, Kira and Nat, we're like, not.
Yeah, me, Kira, Yo-Yo and Nat, we play Yatzi on the bus,
and people are sleeping and we're screaming.
I don't know, because last time you were on the podcast,
you admitted to cheating in the game.
I did.
Whilst Lucy was here.
Yeah, that was the top score.
Have she forgiven you for that?
No.
That's not that game.
So I have the highest score in Yatsi at the moment.
324.
No one remembers it.
Podcast excrues.
Yeah.
I mean, that's a lot of points.
But the problem is both Kara and Vicky was sleeping at the time.
Like they weren't sleeping, but they were not paying attention.
So I got the small straight.
I did.
No one can remember.
I did.
I did.
I would never, ever, she'd.
I would never lie when it comes like a high score.
You know that.
You had a good round.
You could have beat that high score.
last away trip.
Thank you.
This is where the real intensity
of the season is at Chelsea Women's,
it's where the Atsy High Scores can soon.
Are we obsessed with that game?
Is it like a big part?
Are you all playing it then?
Or is it just like some of you?
Some of us.
Yeah.
I think a few of the other girls
wants to join.
Like everyone wants to join
but she's not...
Yeah.
She's too scared.
Maybe that's a problem.
Well, you yell at them.
No, we play like
a quick game now, you know? And I think
when you don't know the rules, like,
I was, at the start, you were like patient
with me because there wasn't enough players.
But to be fair, you were quick at like,
understanding and learning. Yeah, now there's enough
players. We want to play quick. We don't like to, like,
wait around, texting on the phone.
No, it's quick game. No, you've got to
lock in. Yeah. Lock in for the
ATSI. There's been
some big news at the club
recently. We've heard
a lot about Millie
by retiring. And I wanted
to speak to you both about it.
How's the team reacted to that news?
I think it's been, I mean, I knew.
I think it's been a bit of a shock for everyone else.
But yeah, it was even a shock for me, to be honest.
I only found out a couple of days before the girls.
And I think it was just a shock because she's, you know,
such a mainstay at the club.
She's such a good player.
She's so many things about Chelsea.
You just think of Millie Bright.
So I think it's weird to think of.
Chelsea without Millie.
And yeah, I think we all just imagine, like, her rehabbing from her foot and coming back
and playing.
So I think it's just all come at a little bit of a shock.
But I know speaking to Millie that it's just she's ready.
And as one of her very good friends and good teammates, I tried to talk her out of it,
I must admit.
But she, I think that's like a sign when you're ready is that even when your friends,
you know, try and talk you out of it because they want you to selfishly stay and play
that you're ready.
just time to, you know, have the new chapter of your life and she was ready. So selfishly,
I wanted her to stay and keep playing and, you know, follow her career. But she was ready. So
got a supporter and just be really grateful that I was a part of so much of her career.
Yeah. That's so lovely. Because Millie's spoken about what she thinks of Chelsea and said that
the people are a big part of what I've kept her at the club. How important are the people in an
environment like this. I mean you spend every day together so of course it's more important than you think
and like with some players you really connect and you create this like relationship and like Millie
she was the captain and she is the captain she's a leader and like the way she just yeah look out for
everyone it's yeah no one can really replace her who sort of helped you guys settle in when you
first joined Chelsea.
Oh.
I mean, for you,
I'm not like she's been transported
backwards.
I was going to say no one.
I was lucky because
I obviously had two of the sweets, Magda
and Sessa at the moment.
So for me it was natural and easy
to just like, I think I stayed at
Sessa's place for the first two weeks.
And we went to America to Portland,
which was really nice.
Yeah. He was like, okay, straight away
go to her training camp and then you spend
every day together you do everything together and yeah i feel like it was so easy to come into
this group so many like good people and yeah the staff as well it makes it really easy
who do you think's had the biggest impact on on the two of you since being here
for the audio listener sam ker just pointed it herself oh that's a hard question
it's hard to put your finger on one person i think i think i think
I mean, I think Emma had a big impact on me as a coach.
But then, like, just people that you guys probably wouldn't think of, like, people like
the kit man, like Winnie, you know, someone that you can always lean on, go and talk to
and being the, you know, equipment room with them.
Like, there's small people that, you know, people don't realize that are such a big part
of your journey, whether it's the S&C, the, you know, media people that help you.
Like there's just so many people that have been so supportive along like my journey,
including all the teammates.
But I think all the staff members for me that, you know, like Sarah, the kitchen lady upstairs,
like someone you see every morning who you just, when you're making your breakfast.
Yeah, always has a smile, someone that you know you're going to just get something from in the morning.
And I think those people are what make a club great.
The team is so much more than what you see on the pitch.
And it's you get that vibe from everyone at Chelsea's that it is such a family.
that everyone gets on so well.
And it's so nice for the fans
to be able to hear that through the podcast.
Speaking of the fans,
we've got some fan questions for you.
We have.
Our first one is,
what were your first impressions of each other?
Oh.
That's a good question.
She was telling the story.
Okay.
No.
No.
Wasn't you that came in last time
and told me that you'd had a fight with someone as well?
Yeah, but that was the other training camp.
No, but I think my first...
Yeah, what did I think about you?
I thought you were crazy.
Like, the first thing you said, you were like,
I remember her first time you said, hey, to me.
I think you, like, made a joke about Sweden not qualifying.
I said something like that.
And I was just like, hey, I was so scared.
Like, is she...
I saw you come in with your agent, yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I don't know what you said, because my English wasn't great at the time.
Probably something unacceptable in the podcast.
Yeah.
And I was just like, what she is joking or was she serious?
Yeah.
No, I thought she was crazy.
Only for a Swedish person, though.
Because, like, Swedish people are normally so, like, tame,
and then she's, like, this firecracker.
So, no, I, yeah, just, in a crazy in a good way, you know?
She was, like, laughing, loud, stupid, like, just self-deprecating.
I thought it was, like, fun for a Swedish person.
Because Swedish people, the Swedish girls where your dad were so, like, sweet, and, like.
There comes here, you're a break in the phone.
Yeah.
Sweet but psycho.
You both seem to be the jokers of the team.
Have you ever pranked each other
or played tricks on each other or anything?
Oh, there's a story.
I think we're always up to something.
Yeah.
But...
It's always something.
Yeah.
It's always something.
It's never a boring moment with her.
So that's, I mean,
the bus trips gets more fun with our group in the back.
Yatzy group.
I feel like you've just self-nominated yourself,
team menaces, and I love that.
I'm what are your favorite things about about the way the other person plays?
I thought you're going to say about each other I was like gosh she's getting really deep
yeah tell me you're in the most thoughts and feelings what did you say the favorite team
I didn't understand the word the favorite thing about how each of you play how play I mean
okay I like when she costs me in the six-yard box for me as a winger it's like she's one of the
like best players in the box and to have a play like that that just like natural find it's like
a magnet on your head or something I don't know but just to be able to cross the ball and I know
Sam will always pick up it doesn't matter if the cross is bad or good she would always be there
yeah I really appreciate that that quality of hers I love love I like yo-yo's like work ethic I like
playing with people that like match your same intensity and like team like effort I like people that
she's always tracking back, she's always making the wrong forward, like doing overlapping runs
for people. So I think when you play with wingers as a nine that are like that, it's, yeah,
like she can then cross me the ball or, you know, like, I know that she's going to do what's
best for the team. And I think as a forward line, you need that, like, trust and cohesion, cohesion.
Don't ask me.
Yeah, you know what I mean.
No, there is definitely a level of compatibility with you guys as players.
Oh, this is a great fun question.
Sam, do you see any similarities in you and Jagger yet?
Yeah, I do actually.
How is Jagger?
He's good.
He's great.
He's one now.
Someone asked me the other day, Neve, I think.
She asked me, do you ever just look at him and he does something and you think, yeah, that's my son?
And we both have terrible allergies.
I'm not joking.
That kid sneezes more than me.
We're both allergic to London.
I don't know what it is.
But there's other similarities, but that one is just like terrible.
He sneezes all the time.
He's allergic to, it's either we're allergic to Helen or we're allergic to the pollen in London.
Something's not right.
Either way.
You're concerned.
Yo-Yo, have you met Zee's baby yet?
I have.
I have.
I met her when she was so, so, so small.
Honestly, she's so cute.
She's adorable.
And then I met her a few months later and suddenly she was like, oh my God, she can almost
like stand up herself.
But she's so cute and yeah, she looks just like C.
We love this.
Chelsea babies.
Another great question.
What do you guys usually get up to on a day off?
On a day off.
I mean, I spend most of my time with my neighbor slash best friend, Nat.
So I think, yeah, she was off today, so I miss her a bit.
So I will go straight home and spend some time with her on the balcony.
Tomorrow on my day off, it's sunny, I'm catching the sun.
Absolutely.
That's the best way to do it.
What about you?
Well, I'm up early with the baby, so we normally go for a walk,
go to the park, go to the playground,
sometimes play paddle if I have the opportunity.
But no, normally just like coffee,
and if me and Christy have the day off from Jags,
we go for lunch or something nice,
something that you don't get to do during the training week.
Yeah, paddles huge at the moment.
Is there many paddle players on the team?
There's a few actually.
Like, I don't want to dobb anyone in, but there's a few.
Yeah.
Be it's being.
It's being now here.
Yeah, it's massive in England.
Yeah, it seems to have, there seems to be paddle places cropping up everywhere.
I've not got the coordination for it, so I just walk past it like this because you won't
catch me.
You'd be surprised though.
Give it a go.
I feel like so many people that, like, can't play tennis can play paddle.
it's a little bit like
I like how you just assumed that I can't play tennis
you said I haven't got the coordination
for it but like
I can't you're correct
but it's hard it is hard it's hard
but like the ball stays in a small area
so you don't know it's just the walls for me
like you don't like the walls
no I'm afraid of like running into it or something
I don't know but to be fair in Sweden
the paddle was like huge a few years ago
so now I'm like a bit bored
yeah Padill's in Sweden
he was in Latam
He was the first one that, like, invested.
Yeah, in our real, I'm saying Sweden was a bit further ahead.
Further ahead, yeah.
We like it.
Another question.
What is the funniest thing that's ever happened on a team trip?
Oh my God.
Funniest thing ever.
I can't think.
There's too many funny things.
Yeah, I know.
I just think about stuff I can stay here.
Yeah.
It's always a night tired or.
Yeah.
I was going to say, it's always funny when someone like forgets their passports, but it's not actually.
Oh, it's not funny.
Does that happen?
Do people forget their passport?
When Beaker forgot her passport
And she started to cry
Oh my god
That was so...
And then now we laugh about it
But at the time it wasn't that funny
I can imagine that makes for some difficult situations
When you go for international stuff
If somebody forgets the passport
She made it still but yes
Who in the team is different off the pitch
Compared to on the pitch?
Has anybody got like an on pitch persona
That's just completely different?
I mean, the first one I think about is Kira.
Kira, yeah.
She's so calm, like on the pitch.
She's very like, yeah, good on the ball.
You're like, I don't know.
And then outside the pitch is just crazy.
Or when she goes crazy on the pitch, then off the pitch, she's like,
you know what I mean?
She's got both sides to it.
Just pull her opposite.

Hot Takes, I'm going to give you a statement and you're going to tell me whether you think
that's a hot take or not. What is a hot take? A hot take, so it's like a bold opinion. Okay, okay, okay.
So some of them are football, some of them are not. The first one, pineapple belongs on pizza.
Definitely not. I agree with you on this. Say it later. I'm all for, put a bit of pineapple in a wrap,
put it in a stir fry, not on a pizza. Right. It feels just fruit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I'm
I don't want a fruit salad.
I'm all right, thanks.
Next one.
Tea is better than coffee.
Definitely not.
No.
Tea, I don't understand the thing with tea.
I'm so sorry, but I don't understand.
Yeah, because she doesn't eat out.
Do you drink tea?
She's like it tastes like dirty water.
Yeah, it does.
I do like tea though.
Do you?
Really?
What tea bag are you going for?
English breakfast, just every day.
What brand?
I don't really care.
The Australian one, Lipton.
These probably don't have that, but...
No, we do, because that causes a bit of a booker.
Or Yorkshire pudding or whatever it's...
Yorkshire tea
Billy made it
As resident Yorkshire
can confirm it's Yorkshire tea
But do you drink it with any sweet
Just milk
I don't understand that
So when I drink tea
It's like the chai
With a lot of honey
Shake some oat milk
And then add some cinnamon on top
But that's more like a
Is that not a milkshake?
That's more like a milkshake
And that's not a tea
No, but that's how I drink it
That feels like
A lot of steps
For a milkshake
next one away days are better than home games oh no hate away days especially when it's up north
what's your problem with up north or not because all flying places yeah flying oh I'd rather
actually sit on the bus than fly yeah that's this way better I suppose the atmosphere of a home game
is completely different though because people are coming to to your grounds they're coming to cheer for you guys
It's such a different energy.
Like an away game when we win.
It feels good to win.
Yeah, that's true.
Oh, this is it.
I know where I stand on this one
because I've had many a debate on this.
Sox in bed are acceptable?
No, they're not.
Although, there is theories
that like sleeping with warm feet
makes you sleep better.
So I've actually told Christy to sleep with,
because she sleeps bad.
But sleeping with warm feet
is meant to make you sleep
Have you tried?
I don't know.
No.
Clearly not.
There's logic in that because you lose most of your heat through your head and your feet,
don't you?
I think.
I think that's what I got told.
But are the socks are clean?
Yeah, the socks...
When I sleep in socks, the socks are clean, like shower, fresh socks, red.
Oh, so like bed socks?
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's fine.
I like a nice fresh sock.
No.
It's just a feet, no.
No.
But bare feet.
for birth.
Yeah.
I'm really in my head about it.
I can't do with the people's bare feet.
Oh, being late is worse than...
I'm not going to touch me with it more.
I've got a sore toe.
It's fine.
It's not going to touch me.
I'm fine.
Being late is worse than canceling.
Oh.
Nah.
It depends.
It can be cancelled like a day before.
Fine.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It is depending on the cancellation.
If you're canceling 20 minutes into being late, that's worse.
Just come late.
Because I love it when people cancel plans.
Me too.
You can't be bothered doing it.
It's my favorite feeling in the world.
Yeah, I agree.
Is when you had plans and then someone text you like the night before.
Depends what plans.
I mean, if you book a restaurant or something and someone cancel, I'm like,
I would never remember.
I'd depend to you for dinner.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, if there's monetary value in it, then it's frustrating.
But, oh, I love a kind of.
You know who's really good at counselling fans?
Sessa.
Really?
Yeah, we always had those plans after every like training session and stuff.
And then we just looked at each other like, yeah.
Okay.
What are you guys like for being early, being late?
Are you an on-time kind of gal?
Are you a late?
Why are you looking at me like that?
Because I was late yesterday.
I had a good reason.
Yeah.
I'm, I always think I have so much time.
Even if I had three hours to get ready, I'm like, perfect.
clean the whole apartment, just go and do some groceries.
And then I'm like, oh, I need to choose out with it, make myself Friday.
And then I'm ending up being late.
So I'm really bad, but I'm getting better.
Time management's a real issue.
Yeah. What about you, Sam?
I'm on time.
Yeah, you are.
I'm on time, but I'll like think I'm in a rush
and then I'll be there five minutes early sitting there.
I hate being late.
I hate the anxiety.
I hate that.
I mean, to a dinner, I'd never like be, I'd be on time.
But I just hate the anxiety.
of being late.
Oh, great one here.
VAR has made football better.
Oh.
Oh.
VAR.
I'm not even,
I think disagree.
Yeah.
If it's used properly,
yeah,
100% would,
but I think it's still human error
behind the VAR.
Has there ever been enough
like a time
where you've absolutely
vehemently
disagreed with the VAR?
Yeah.
Yeah.
A lot of times.
More times than no.
Yeah.
No, but like,
I don't know
I feel like the discussion is just
like you said
sometimes you want it
sometimes you don't
I mean it's always going to be a bit of like a
debate debate debate
debate I guess
yeah
VAR's I can imagine it's such a tricky one
because when you're on the pitch
and you're in the moment and you're not watching it back
it must be because you see something different
in the moment as well
you know what I hate most about VAR
is when the referee sees a clear call
and they don't call it it's not actually
VAR it's 10 meters offside and they're like oh we bet we've got to wait for VAR and it's like
it's clearly offside just call it that's just silly do you know what I mean but they do they do
let it go for so long and it's like just call it yeah and then the one time it actually is on
side they put their flag up you've seen it we've seen it just call it the next one the aisle
seat is better than the window seat no window but we both are scared of flying and I like to
sit to just have control I don't know
not because of a control
but then I'll please see
what's happening
I guess
I see it was so bad
after that
where were we?
I don't know where we'll come back
from when I was scroby
we all were still in there
playing Nazi and then suddenly we were like
like put the belts on now
it was so bad
I never heard you scream like that
and Kira screamed
and we all just like
because I think
all of us were so scared
it wasn't a good
it was bad
we put the belts on that
they're going to do something
that is a PSA though if they do tell you to put your seatbelt on do put it on
yeah I'm breakfast is the best meal of the day yes no
yes yes talk me through the breakfast
I'm so boring like I eat the same breakfast and I love it
I think I said this before on the podcast I don't know
I eat my porridge the protein porridge with blueberries
chia seeds pumpkin seeds and I don't know what the other seeds is called
but and then just add some did I say blueberries yeah
and then add some almond milk
It's just the nice.
That doesn't sound boring then.
No, it's not.
And then if I have more time, I do some eggs, avocado.
I do some like nice toast, gluten-free.
Yeah, it's just, I love breakfast.
Acah, you can get everything.
Like a nice brunch.
A nice breakfast is always like.
I do like a breakfast.
What's your verdict on Best Me Remember David and Sam?
Dinner or lunch.
I don't like breakfast.
On an off day, like I'll wake up and not eat till 1 p.m.
Coffee.
I think that's just Aussie
I don't know maybe Ozzy's love breakfast
I don't know I just don't like breakfast
I feel sick when I wake up if I'm like eating so soon
so I'm just like coffee in the morning
and then I like a
lunch I guess I don't know
just not breakfast I hate breakfast or
there's a real hatred of breakfast there
I'm final hot take
rewatching shows is better than starting new ones
depends on the show
but no
seeing it
I know.
What are you watching at the minute?
Have you got time to watch anything at the minute?
I'm watching, and I don't like it, but Christy Forces is Summerhouse.
I don't know if you watch that in America.
It's like all the drama right now.
You're not watching it.
It's like one couple, you broke up and then the other couple.
Now they're together.
It's like, yeah, it's reality.
Is it a bit Love Island-y?
It's kind of like New York Love Island-y, but like the same characters every year.
But they're like 40 now.
Anyways, all the Americans that watch this will know there's like, it's like crazy drama right now in America. It's going down.
My God, I need to get on. I need to get on this while. Are you watching anything? Yeah, yeah.
No, I'm really bad when it comes to watching TV show. I always fall asleep with my iPad on, like watching something easy. So it can't be too like exciting. It can't be scary. It really needs to be like some. It's a new one on Netflix. A new season. It's like a basketball coach. I don't know. What she's like a famous actor, blonde hair.
Kate Hansen, it's actually okay.
I need to get these.
I mean, I fall asleep so it can't be that good,
but it's at least like easy.
Don't get Kate Hudson on the podcast.
Are you guys ready to do some whistleblower scenarios with us?
We've had some fan submissions of some scenarios that fans need advice on.
Are you feeling ready to give some advice today?
I'm always ready for advice.
Locked in, we've got three today.
First scenario.
My housemate leaves one square of toilet roll on the holder instead of replacing the roll.
It's driving me insane.
Do I confront them or do I just accept it?
Confront, 100%.
We are a united front on this.
Get the toilet roll.
That's not even an awkward conversation.
That's like just changing toilet roll back.
It's not a hard thing to do either.
No, no.
Just change the blooming roll.
Yeah.
A hundred percent.
Yeah, 100%.
No, we are.
have a real debate of what brand toilet paper do you use because I think that affects how people
use toilet roll as well if you buy a nice toilet roll you use less of it I don't know one that's purple
and has a dog yeah I had the same andrewies part I think ad juice andrews I was going to say Kleenex
Kleenex is that is that tissues andrex I think is the dog one purple of the dog yeah Kleenex is the
face tissues it's a good way he's got little dogs on the paper sometimes cute it does it makes
It makes it really sweet.
Okay, scenario two.
My friend is late to literally everything,
and it's really starting to wind me up.
It's like 30 or 40 minutes every time we do something.
Should I call them out?
Stop making plans,
or start lying about times and hope that they'll turn up at the right time.
I'm sure they're not meaning to be rude,
but it is really annoying me.
Lai.
I'm that friend.
I am the friend that turns out late.
I do that to some friends.
Do you?
Yeah, if I know they're always late.
I have one friend at home.
if I need to tell them.
I think that's real friendship, though.
30 minutes, it's just not worth it.
Because they're still going to be late.
Yeah, true.
It's a lie.
It's a white lie.
Yeah, why not?
And technically, if they're running on their own clock,
they're not going to be ready till then anyway, aren't they?
And then if they're on time, they get a taste of their own medicine when you're late.
I like that.
I like that.
We're lying.
That's what we're doing.
Yeah.
Lighty friend.
But as someone that their friends do it to them, it works.
Scenario 3
Oh this is an interesting one
I've been seeing someone for a few months
And they've started posting me
But only like my hand or half of my face
I feel like it's been long enough to hard lunch
Should I say something or should I just let them do it in their own time
Ike
Wait have she posted something
That's a great question
Follow up listen to follow up
Yeah definitely not ask
him to do it or her like no don't yeah i think just like see how let the person do it in their
own time i think but if it goes too far i get that yeah it's not it's not a it's not a deal
breaker don't be taking dating advice from her let me tell you whatever she said
some flexing the wedding race opposite i'm such an overthinker so for me i would be like okay
why is this person just posting like a small little tease, I don't know.
I don't know what I think about this situation.
What do you think?
Is it weird?
I've got no idea, but I think you're an overthinker.
Yeah, I am.
I'm like, just say, I would just say it to them.
That's weird.
If I thought it was weird or that's fine if I thought it was fine.
Whereas you'd be like, ooh.
I would never say anything.
Never.
Yeah, you would.
But I would never post anything back then.
I would be like, you go first.
I would see it as a competition then.
Which is so silly.
Oh, that's so shyly.
It's toxic.
Yeah.
How do you feel about hard launching relationships on social media anyway?
But I'm not, I'm not very, like, personal on my account.
Like, for me, I'm very, like...
Because I feel like that comes into playing this scene.
Are they quite personal on their socials?
Or is it like, are they just share?
We need more information from this person.
Yeah, definitely.
We need to get them on the podcast.
Have you posted them?
Have you launched partners previously?
what is your protocol?
We need more info.
How many followers of your hair?
Moving back into football to finish the podcast.
I wanted to ask you both about the move to Stanford Bridge
because Chelsea's going to be playing all 13 WSL games there next season.
How important is that for the club and the team do you guys think?
I think it's important to show, you know, the,
I guess the vision of the club and where they see themselves.
And I think we're seeing a lot of women's,
football clubs, I mean, teams go to the men's stadiums now.
And yeah, I think it just shows the vision of the club and where they want to be
and where they see themselves.
And to be able to play at Stanford Bridge, an iconic stadium week in week out,
it's going to be amazing and a real opportunity to put Chelsea at the top of women's football.
It's such an exciting move.
Having seen games at the bridge, it's just a completely different energy.
And for you guys on the pitch, that must be amazing.
Do you have any standout memories
from playing any of the games at the bridge?
Oh, the first one that comes to mind
is a city game.
We were two nil down and we won three nil.
That was just an unbelievable like experience.
It was such an amazing atmosphere.
I remember the Arsenal game as well.
We won with like 4-1 or something
and the vibe, the DJ, everything was just like,
yeah, I just get like, whoo, thinking about it.
Ooh, whoo.
Did you ever think when you joined Chelsea that Stanford Bridge would end up becoming the home of both the men and the women's team?
I mean, that's crazy to think about.
Like when I joined the club, yeah, I remember go to Stanford Bridge first time signing there.
I was just like, whoa, okay, this stadium is just like amazing.
And I was so happy to be able to play their few games.
And then a few years later, I think it's four years later, we are going to play all our games there.
No, it's unbelievable.
I think it's a really good decision from the club.
And like you said, it says a lot about where this club wants to go.
Yeah, I think it's a real statement because it's not just the home of Chelsea men's now.
It's the home of Chelsea.
And it's where all the fans will go to celebrate Chelsea.
And for you guys, that must be an amazing thing to have been a part of.
You're playing your first ever FA Cup semi-final at the bridge against City.
That's huge.
How you both feel them?
excited yeah excited on game yeah semi-final yeah at stanford bridges as well um no i'm really really really
looking forward to to that game i'm very excited what's the energy like with the team right now
preparing for that i think the vibe is good yeah the vibe is good it's nice and sunny yeah exactly
it's just everyone's yeah i think the vibe is really good it's amazing how much better everybody's
everybody's mood is what the sun says literally literally
it is great and putting you
in a great position for playing
your FA Cup semi-final. Well thank you
you guys so much for coming. It's been lovely to see you both
again. Best of luck for the rest of the
season and yeah, thank you
so much. Thank you.
