Starting point is 00:00:00 this week on the program. We're talking about a movie that a lot of people used to love dunking on, and now they just plain love it. And I'd like to think we had a little something to do with that. That's right. We're talking about Halloween 3 Season of the Witch. I'm Andrew Jupin. Linda, shut up.
Starting point is 00:00:13 Shut up. Steven Sadek. Eric Siska 3, Season of the Witch. Chris Cabin. And we hate movies. We all go a little mad sometimes. You know, it's Halloween. I guess everyone's a title of one good scare.
Starting point is 00:00:35 Sometimes that is matter. I'm to keep your appointment with the Wicamand. They're coming to get you, Barbara. Has you seen one too many movies? Now, Sid, don't you blame the movies? Movies don't create psychos.
Starting point is 00:01:03 Movies make psychos. An excellent day for an exorcism. Hello, everyone. Welcome to We Hate Movies. Thank you for tuning into the fine program as always. That's right. Season 17's Redux episode is here. We're talking about 1982's Halloween 340s.
Starting point is 00:01:26 Season of the Witch, directed by Tommy Lee Wallace, who got some directing things thrown his way here and there, Fright Night 2, the It TV movie, R.I.P. Tim Curry. And some more John Carpenter runoff. Vampires Los Mueros with John Bon Jovi.
Starting point is 00:01:43 There is a great clip of somebody, it's one of those things where they ask a director, do you like, this movie or that movie, this movie, and it's, it's Guillermo. Oh, yes, I think I just saw this one. And it's just like, they, one of them is vampires like oh vampires very good
Starting point is 00:01:58 and then like once Texas Chainsaw Massacre comes up he goes Descent Jets his Chainson Massacre A Texas Chainson Massacre It's so funny Texas Chancor Massacre The kid like reeling off the titles Is like laughing too
Starting point is 00:02:10 But then they What is the one at the end? I forget It's like such a dearer movie And then he he Oh it's a Bram Stoker's dragon I said oh you're kaah And he refuses to answer
Starting point is 00:02:20 And he gives a great thing where he's like One is a great example of like maximal design, you know, whatever, obviously, Dracula. And then he's like, and the other one is just like the best example of the most hard-hitting brutality. And I'm like, yep, great answer. I know, last one, a house of wax, the remade. Oh, God. Don't do this to me.
Starting point is 00:02:42 Oh, my God, no. Paris. That's a stay tuned in a half that movie, by the way. Oh, yeah. Parasilton gets that pipe through the head. So I should say, of course, before we get into Halloween three, which is a great movie. Yes. And I don't think I thought as much 15 years ago when we were talking about this the last time. But I have come around to loving this movie, as I think a lot of people have.
Starting point is 00:03:02 But before we get to all of that, of course, as they tell it, folks, last season, I somehow won the VHS trailer. Previously on, we did movies. Exactly, exactly. We didn't hear Andrew run the VHS trailer game. So I got to pick this title. But I also get to do the cameo. And you guys don't know what the cameo is. the first time I revealed the cameo.
Starting point is 00:03:24 And so I'm just going to pull up. I'll say who it is before I start playing it so people know it home. You guys, I'm going to show you the face first. Sure. So here we go. I don't know who that is. Are you kidding? Oh, it's Michael.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Oh, this Thomas Collabro. Thomas Collab. The actor who played Dr. Michael Mancini. The screen was a little askewed, but yeah, no. It's the hat. It's the hat. It's fucked up, dude. Michael is not known to wear a hat.
Starting point is 00:03:53 No, no, no, no. Okay, so now if you're new to WeA movies, we do a sideshow called Melro 210, where we talk about Melrose Place and, of course, 90210.1. And this is an actor from Melrose Place. We do a pretty mean impression of on the TV, on the old podcast. So, all right, so here we go. Okay.
Starting point is 00:04:12 Hey, guys, this is Thomas Colabro, who once played the diabolical and legendary Dr. Mancini. That's an Andrew quote, not mine. Some 29 years ago, which is why I look like this and not that. Oh, come. Oh, come on. Killing it, sir. Here's that.
Starting point is 00:04:30 No, he says his hair is gone. He looks totally fine. Andrew, who won a season of movie trivia. So he's awesome. He's smart. We knew that when he called me diabolical and legendary. Or at least my character. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:04:43 And we know Chris and Steve, not so much. I mean, they haven't had a chance for really chime in. But I can kind of tell if Andrew's got the movie trivia award, then, you know, Steve and Chris and Eric, who are supposed to be the smartest guys on the planet, just didn't get the tap into the brain, fetatudes in the schmick of hockey's. Wow.
Starting point is 00:05:09 They never just got to cut it there. So I know, Thomas. I don't know what to say about Chris and Eric, but I know if they were on a season of Melrose Place. Oh, no. Definitely, Michael Mancini would have got the best of them. Oh, man. I would let you have your way with three.
Starting point is 00:05:23 That's such a phrase. I think I just made that up. I'm vamping, as you can probably tell, as I stumble through this, hell yeah. Rousing and roasting. Yes, sir. You got it, sir. Don't worry about it.
Starting point is 00:05:38 See, I know nothing about you, Chris and Eric. I'm going to, I guess Andrew's probably better looking as well. Oh, yes, of course. More, more partners in his life than you guys ever did. You guys are probably shorter than him. Sure. Probably has gas issues or not other maladies that Andrew doesn't have because he's the king. You're taking it light on me, honestly, Thomas.
Starting point is 00:06:02 Given what I know. It's a doctor, diagnosis. Thanks, guys. I'm so glad people still enjoy this show 29 years later. It's amazing and beguiling all at once. Thanks, fellas. Have a good one now. Thank you, Tom.
Starting point is 00:06:15 I literally thought he was going to see. at the end. We was like, you're almost going to go. Bouguil. It's kind of the closest you get though. He said, Bougarling. I love it. That's incredible. I love that he's using doctor stuff after all these years. Yeah. No, it was
Starting point is 00:06:31 awesome. And I have to say big thanks to him. This dude was on vacation. Oh, dear God. When I sent the request in or whatever. And he messaged me on the platform. And I'd never bought one before. So I didn't know you'd like talk to them and whatnot.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Yeah. With, uh, Thomas Collab. I feel with something like Bruce Dern, there's a handler that you're talking to. But this was me just DMing Tom Collabro. And he was like, yeah, I recorded this. I'm uploading it right now. I'm on vacation in the woods. And the signal's not great.
Starting point is 00:07:04 So if it doesn't, I'm going to drive into town to make sure this uploads. Let me know. He was really like on top of it. And I was like, hey man, like, thanks for driving in. It's uploaded. It's done. Really cool. Above and beyond.
Starting point is 00:07:15 So really, really nice, dude. Great collaboration. Oh, yes. Look at you. I love that. He didn't even get a DUI while driving me too. Look for him. Yeah, totally.
Starting point is 00:07:25 Did you run your car off the road? Let me tell you, do not call yourself the lobster police, sir. Whether you have a hat or not, just don't do it. Speaking of DUI, Halloween 3. Oh, hell yeah, dude, there should be a couple of fucking dois in this movie. But back then in 82, I don't think those existed yet. It's like, all right, Rami, move over. I'll drive you home.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Yeah, exactly. Are you white? All right. Get out of here. Get out of my sight. This is a story of my grandfather had that happen. He was like, he was obviously drinking and driving. Oh, sure. That's what grandfathers do. Absolutely. The cop just drives him home. Wow. Yeah. It took me a long time to realize you weren't allowed to just have a Budweiser in the car. You know what I mean? Oh, that's not cool. Okay. All right. Yeah. Oh, just, you mean behind the wheel or just in general? Oh, behind the wheel?
Starting point is 00:08:09 Wow, dude. These city dwellers, man, no idea about what it's like to be behind the wheel. I should say for the people at home, Steve has never driven before. No, no, no, no. I'm just saying other people in my life. I will not say. Oh, okay. Yeah, so it took me a long time like growing up as a kid. I'm like, oh, okay. Oh, so you're not supposed to do that.
Starting point is 00:08:26 Oh, that's wrong. Is that frowned upon? Because I have to say, my last family, we did it all the time. Corona in the cup holder. That's a bad thing to happen. That shouldn't be happening here. My problem is the whole open container law, you know. Well, you can have fun in the back?
Starting point is 00:08:42 Exactly. Exactly. I don't want to have a sip. And you know what's bullshit about that? They're not pulling over any limos and checking out what's going on back there. Here's my license is my registration. Please forgive my friend back there. He's just having fun in the back. Is that okay?
Starting point is 00:08:54 He's having fun in the back. I didn't know fun was against the law. Excuse me. You should be able to have fun in the bag. No, I understand that I burped, but I think that was from the dinner I had. I don't think that was necessarily a beer burp, as they would say. Officer, not just alcoholics burp, you know. You know.
Starting point is 00:09:12 And find breathalized the driver, but let us have fun in the back. Fun in the back. I do. I'm always curious about, I have also, like Andrew, I think, uh, I think the first time we did this, I'd seen it once and I was like, this movie's bonkers and it is. Yeah. But it's grown on me. I, I actually went as Dr. Chalas for Halloween last year.
Starting point is 00:09:30 And you had to explain to every single person you ran into. Every single person. So it's the one without Michael Myers, right? I'm the guy who's the doctor hero in it, you see. Can't you see the beer? The beer. fucking planned shirt. See, he's an alcoholic, and he's having sex
Starting point is 00:09:45 with someone much younger than him, and he is bested by a toy company. I do, but I always wonder, like, what are we supposed to think about Dr. Chalice? I watch this, we'd have 10 times at least. I'm always like, obviously, like,
Starting point is 00:10:02 every man. He's at every man. A valiant try hard. Yeah, because that's the thing, like he's an every man, but he's also a real loser. Yeah, every man. Extreme horror loser. And probably a fall down drunk. You don't see him get wasted here, but it's like alluded to.
Starting point is 00:10:17 He's drunk then. He's drunk then. Like, anytime you, like in these in-between days, he's just wrecked, I'm guessing. I don't know. There's a part in this movie where he sleeps with a woman and then during this, like, dangerous town curfew. He's just out walking around the streets drinking out of a bottle of trying to attract bums to him. There's a fucking store open during the curfew. There's a liquor store open during the fucking.
Starting point is 00:10:40 And we have missing time here. Like one day it's Thursday. I don't know. It's like Wednesday and then it cuts to Friday. It's like Thursday was lost in the bottom. They fuck it up because they say at the beginning, eight more days till Halloween. It is not eight more days to Halloween. It is five days until Halloween.
Starting point is 00:11:01 The movie starts on the 23rd. 26. 23rd. The first Saturday, the 23rd of October. 23rd. 23rd? Okay. Then I will let the eight days go then.
Starting point is 00:11:10 Because, yeah, the first thing you see is... A crazy nights. I mean, the first thing, this awesome... I guess, CG... Computer generated... Yeah, computer generated credit sequence. It's so fucking cool, man. And this score, it just fucking eases you into this.
Starting point is 00:11:24 Just like all the Halloween movies with the long run on the credit sequences, or most of them anyway. And I like when it switches it up. Like, the first one, you got the pumpkin, whatever. I think the second one maybe is also a pumpkin. Then you have this, like, digital thing, which is really cool. The fourth movie, it's like, the town. and all the scarecrows and decorations and whatnot. These movies let you settle in to give you that time,
Starting point is 00:11:46 get ready to get scared, get your popcorn, all that shit. And Debra Hill wanted to marry witchcraft with the new technologies that were like computers that were emerging. And this is a fun movie, but I would argue, evil speak of the same year. Yeah, same deal. Married that a little bit better. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:12:04 Released in February, this is October, obviously. Wow, 82 was Evil Speak, huh? Yeah, I was to put you in my dr. Chalice work your local pub You were at Muldoons Having a couple of pints A couple shooters I think that's a difference Eric
Starting point is 00:12:21 It's like they don't really go so far into what the tech side of this is You see a lot of microchips You see a lot of things But you're not really meeting the people why They're chisling the fucking What's it called the stone end They're chisling literally witchcraft Like there we go
Starting point is 00:12:38 Chiseling up to the 11th hour. Like this, this signal is going out in an hour, dude. Just go take a break. This is what happens when you fucking hire a bunch of lazy, slow moving robots to do all your weird fucking magic science. And it is true.
Starting point is 00:12:51 I mean, it's also like, you know, a little prescient with the robot work. You know what I mean? Replacing workers with robots. That's true. That's actually true.
Starting point is 00:12:58 I hadn't thought of that. So this is very, this like AI or something. That's like the AI. If you want to take over the world through witchcraft, you better fucking hire American. Humans, not robots. Humans.
Starting point is 00:13:09 I mean, in this movie, an evil billionaire uses media to destroy children and replaces works force with an entire series of robots. That sounds pretty on brand for me. But if you're willing to go along with that embrace AI, you should be replaced with crickets and snakes. Yeah, I hope all these AI dudes have fucking crickets and snakes pour out of their mouths.
Starting point is 00:13:33 That would be pretty cool. Oh, man, something you were saying, Steve, was sort of, I wanted to piggyback on it, but I couldn't. Nah, it's gone forever. But yes, Northern California. So we're away from Illinois now. Haddonfield long way of the way. We're at least telling the audience we're in California
Starting point is 00:13:49 for the first time in the series history. As opposed to being honest. But yes. But yes, Saturday, the 23rd of October, we just start on a dark road. This dude just fucking booking it. I thought this guy was Matt Fruer for a second, Chris. Oh, I love to see him.
Starting point is 00:14:06 he's just some guy. No, it's just, yeah. Some old bastard running for life. Yeah. I love that this dude runs into this like car lot and like the one car is chasing him.
Starting point is 00:14:15 We don't know it yet, but yes, it is a car full of robots who are chasing him. He runs into this lot and they kind of drive away. It doesn't ever occur to this guy to try any of these doors open. We got the keys in here so I can drive off. He does this pretty cool kill to Mo Howard robot. The first robot you see,
Starting point is 00:14:33 this dude, he's kind of got a bowl cut or something. This is the, he pulls the chain. Yes. With this like, where does parking cars like their fighter jets? Exactly with the block, the triangular block to keep the car from rolling. Look at his top gun. And I love the sound when the car slowly drifts at him, you know, he's, he slowly lets it kill him.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Yeah. And then you get this weird like, new. Yes. Yeah. The score with all of these computer noises and shit. I tell you what, it works so well in the. the movie. I've got this on vinyl. You just put it on in
Starting point is 00:15:09 your house. You will creep yourself the hell out. Or piss your cats off because my cats fucking hated these beeps and boobs. They were not having it. But so this other robot shows up like after the crush happens like where is he going or whatever and you see this
Starting point is 00:15:26 dude and he's putting on this black glove. I started calling these guys Jalo bots this time around. They just look like little Jalo bots. They got their gloves on. Their murder gloves ready to go. I love that. You know, and here's the thing about Conqueline. Like, great job making human-looking robots that can kill people. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:41 Maybe, like, because he knows, they know how to be stealthy, but they're set to brutal murder. I'd set to, like, espionage murder. Like, just a break of the neck or a quick, like, oh, I'm covering your airway. You're going to suffocate kind of a thing. Well, they never got through the mortal combat protocol, you see. It's a head squish, I think, would do fine. A poison, just poison. Poison, I guess.
Starting point is 00:16:04 You're a rip it. this dude's skull. It's gonna be memorable. Like, people are gonna ask questions. Dude, when you start ripping this guy's skull in the hospital there at the market? It looks like it reminded me of the Odyssey when she's like more from those guys. But the funny thing is why I got confused
Starting point is 00:16:19 for a second, see when you called that other robot Mo Howard is because I said in my notes, like thinking to myself watching the movie, when that kill is happening, he three stooges this guy in death. But then when the face goes all, Alec Baldwin and Beetlejuice, it looks like Shemp.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Yes, it does. This dude's dead, disfigured body looks like Shep Howard. It's a mis... Oh, I should say, with all these reduxes, we have not... I haven't listened to our last episode in... I can't listen to shit that that's old. So, just FYI, if we're repeating jokes or not repeating jokes, who knows? No one has listened to that episode in easily 10 years.
Starting point is 00:16:55 But, you know, maybe the viewers at home have, and if you want to, it's available to you. And now we have the addition of Eric, because he wasn't on the first time around. That's right. Cochran finally built me for this. What's his first name by the way? Connall. Is he in the military? Colonel. Conal.
Starting point is 00:17:11 Conal. C-O-N. like con job. And then A-L. Everyone acts like this is a normal name. Like they're writing it down. I'm going to need a spelling on that. Colin, but you switch the end and the aisle.
Starting point is 00:17:24 These are like off the boat Irish, dude. Some of those names get a little wonky. Yeah, yeah. I do love the, he goes to this gas station. One hour later is the funniest fucking thing. It's such a bizarre. Like, we don't need that. He's been running the whole time.
Starting point is 00:17:38 Exactly. Like he comes into this gas station all out of breath. I was like, were you literally running for 60 minutes? And this guy, it's important. He's a black guy because he is not cool with like being on the hook for whatever's going on in this situation. This guy is sniffing out that he might be in the beginning of a horror movie, especially when he takes him to the hospital in a minute. And he's just like, are we cool here? Because I can sense a horror movie starting and not really great for guys like me in horror movies.
Starting point is 00:18:04 If I can get out of this hospital, please. I'm going to get in a car, just leave the place. I'm just going to be here. Walks down that hallway, gained speed. It gets weird or absolutely. It's so funny. But I do love, you get this TV report when we cut to the gas station. You can see the dude like running, but then it's like there's a television inside the office.
Starting point is 00:18:22 And they're talking about this blue stone from Stonehenge that was stolen and this, that's the other thing. And it reminded me, that's also how they introduced the stolen plutonium and back to the future. Yeah. When they're at Doc's house. and it's like just the TV report in other news a fucking thing of plutonium was knocked off
Starting point is 00:18:38 the Irish how do they find me asked me to build them a TV bomb we get the the first instance of the commercial is right here
Starting point is 00:18:47 you hear it right away it's so goddamn good they call the mask this is great they call the masks the Halloween three like they were a group of guys accused to kill
Starting point is 00:18:57 in kids in some wooded area or some shit yeah it's the skeleton the witch and the great Jackal Lantern. Yes. FYI, that's a in, it's referenced
Starting point is 00:19:07 directly in the movie The Guest, which is our Patreon offering on the We Love Movies feed this month. That's right. Really great movie. I was bummed. There's not really a good witch emoji that looks like the witch mask. Yeah. Because I was trying to do like, oh, I'm
Starting point is 00:19:23 watching Halloween 3 and it was like an ugly crone. Yes. Closer to like the witch and loony tunes, like that kind of. I think like cartoonish and what do they have in there? It's just a broom. It's on a broom, right? It's a, I don't remember it's on a broom, but it's, it's the full, it's more like a fucking
Starting point is 00:19:39 Harry Potter, which kind of deal. It's just a hat and it's a cute little person. We should mention that Harry Potter stuff. That's like satanic, right? That's what some people thought when it came out. I believe it to this day. Turned out the creator was just satanic. That was just a bad person.
Starting point is 00:19:56 I don't know if the devil's involved. Yeah, leave me out of this. The chick sucks. I don't need the bad press. Oh, great. Now I'm going to get The devil's going to get canceled. No, I did not want to play Voldemort. Just don't put that out there.
Starting point is 00:20:11 I said no to the role. I haven't talked to Joanne in years. That could be a terrible, like, conservative play. The devil got canceled. Oh, yes. You do a play on the Charlie Daniels devil came down to Georgia. Got canceled. Just hold on.
Starting point is 00:20:24 Charlene. No, they called. Yeah, I got dragged into this thing. I don't know what. It's your job, Charlene. How am I supposed to do it when it's your job to keep me out of this situation. Hey gang, this week's episode on Halloween 3,
Starting point is 00:20:41 Season of the Witch is brought to you by Game Time. Now, if you've listened to this show for any length of time, you know that I've got a wide variety of musical interests, and so when it comes to seeing live shows, there's always a ton out there, especially here in New York. And I don't always know if I'm going to go catch a show far in advance. You know, sometimes it's a game time decision, you might say. Take last year when I caught Minas the Bear here in New York
Starting point is 00:21:01 as they celebrate 20 years of their landmark album Menos Aloso. I'd seen them the previous, month in Vegas and wasn't sure about checking them out again. It was at a tail end of a busy weekend kind of a deal. But at the last second, I realized I couldn't say no to seeing one of my favorite groups of guys on the road again. So I hit up GameTime and boom. Tickets were available and priced lower than I'd seen elsewhere.
Starting point is 00:21:22 Game Time helps you find shows you need to be at and for the lowest prices going with their game time guarantee. If you find tickets in the same section and row for less, Game Time will credit you 110% of the difference. So this way you're not missing out on once in a lifetime. shows, chance reunions, and other never again moments. I'm perusing the app right now to see if I might find you one of those kinds of shows. Yeah, here we go. Perfect. Boom. Great example. Next week, Mike D of the Beastie Boys is playing
Starting point is 00:21:47 the knockdown center here in Queens and game times got me covered. I don't know how long Mr. Diamond's gonna be out there with these new solo tunes and everything, so this is a must-catch show y'all. The Game Time app is super easy to use, which I love because sometimes navigating these apps can prove difficult when you're finding events, but game time breaks everything out by sports, music, and shows. So whether I'm looking for a game, a concert, or a stand-up show or something like that, everything's organized and easy to sift through. I also love their seat view function because I'm super obsessed with vantage points at live shows, and GameTime gives me a panoramic view of my seat
Starting point is 00:22:19 in-app before I purchase my tickets. Get your friends together, get your tickets, and tell them it's game time. Download the Game Time app, create an account, and use code WHM for $20 off your first purchase. Terms apply. Again, create an account and use code WHM for $20. off. But so this fellow runs up to the gas station where this dude is sitting in the dark, by the way. Like, if you want people to come to your gas station, you've got to turn the fucking lights on, buddy. He's drunk. He doesn't want to be dealing with people anymore.
Starting point is 00:22:54 But this dude is, you know, yelling, oh, they're coming, they're coming, they're going to kill us all. They're going to kill us all. And so this dude drives him to the hospital, much to the chagrin of all the jollobots that are standing around the parking lot watching them drive off. They shake their gloved fist. cleans off his knife, puts it away. But then we are introduced the man himself. Tom Atkins is Dr. Daniel Chalice.
Starting point is 00:23:18 Sex symbol. Hell yeah, dude. Flannel shirt, mustache. It's fucking great. Drop it off these garbage masks to these kids that he has not seen in a long time. And we'll never see again. No, I don't think so. What are these masks?
Starting point is 00:23:31 He's like, one of them's like an Easter bunny. Dude, yeah. Like, if you had these of your cars since April, what is this fucking rabbit mask you have here? I was for my eyes wide shut thing the other night. They are like 99 cent, like, you know, dollar store kind of mask. And I'm sorry, but if he had been listened to, it might have saved his children's life. It's true.
Starting point is 00:23:50 Having these kiddie cat masks instead of the fucking skulls. I loved the way this movie ends, but man, oh man, when I love a quick shot back to Linda's living room and watching these two fucking kids just dead in front of the TV. Oh, man. Lipp's got a snake on her or whatever. It would make me so happy. Linda, who's this lady again? Nancy Loomis, who was Annie in Halloween. I do like that she's the total opposite of Annie in Halloween.
Starting point is 00:24:16 Annie in Halloween is sort of like acerbic and sarcastic and funny and sexy. And this lady is just like the harumfax wife. They even like dyed her hair kind of. I mean, I do have to imagine life with good old Dan Chalice was a nightmare. Oh yeah, no, no, it's a completely accurate portrayal. I really do think whatever was going on because I bet you he took the fact that Chalice is kind of like a royal object and he thought of himself as king
Starting point is 00:24:44 and kind of pressed that a little bit on people Hey Linda this is the cup of the carpenter and he takes his fucking Take it up Because sometimes you're like oh a doctor He's got to have money and sometimes they drink it all That's the thing is it like like our cameo guy here I'm kidding Michael Mancini loads up on the champagne and then gets behind
Starting point is 00:25:06 the wheel. I should say though, Linda is a little bit sarcastic. She's got this line, drinking and doctoring. Great combination. Because he's on call. Like, doctors, when they're on call, it's like, oh, that's a day you're not allowed to be drinking. Quite frankly, like, wouldn't you want your doctor to be relaxed
Starting point is 00:25:22 and enjoy, you know, maybe having fun of the back on the way to like, just like, that's what he needs to like have a steady hand perhaps. He says, thank you while he's sharpening his scalpel badly. Half passing out. Yeah, I do.
Starting point is 00:25:38 He's shotgun in a beer. You're so right, Eric. Well, you know, here's his mistake because it's, he's working the night shift, the overnight or whatever. And he's like, this sleepy no-cow town that I live in, not a lot goes on. I can be drunk at the hospital. And you can. Listen, get sick during the daytime if it's that big of a deal.
Starting point is 00:25:59 Look, you want to have a car accident? How about before 6 o'clock? Okay. What were you even driving at 10 p.m. anyway? Just to get me on my on hours, okay? He's just at the bar like, ah, it's going to be a bunch of tummy aches today. I'm not going to have another rum soda. Thanks so much.
Starting point is 00:26:13 I know what a tummy ink is. That's fine. Yeah, yeah. I'm not doing open heart surgery, okay? I can have a fucking double whiskey. What's this guy? Yeah, Thorazine. This guy, yeah, yeah, Thorazine.
Starting point is 00:26:24 And, yeah, I'm thinking Thorazine for this dude. Maybe me, Thorazine. I'm going to do a lie down with some thorazine as well. He's getting ready to do this lie down, dude. So we go, we cut to the hospital. gas station guy brings this dude in. Mr. Grimbridge, we learn. And, you know,
Starting point is 00:26:42 this guy, this dude just so desperately does not want to be in this horror movie. He's got this great line. When somebody needs help, you help him. That's what my parents always said, unless there's going to be trouble. Or a horror movie.
Starting point is 00:26:53 Well, yeah. Hey. I just don't think this guy wants to talk to the cops. He's like, oh, you brought this old white guy in. Uh-huh. What's going on with you,
Starting point is 00:27:01 buddy? Exactly. He's talking while he's walking out of the movie, basically. It is so funny. This dude gives like one or two lookbacks at the movie before. He's like, I will see you in literally the last year. Can I leave now? Can I leave the movie?
Starting point is 00:27:14 What do you mean, you smelled on my breath? The Hawaiian punch? Well, yeah, yes, of course. I mean, I've had a little much to that. A little sugar high. I'll say that. So this dude is on the stretch or whatever. And he starts totally freaking out because the nurses station has the television on
Starting point is 00:27:30 and the fucking commercial starts up again. This dude right back and no! Well, this is the problem with both this guy and Dr. Chalice at the end. You need to be specific with what the threat is. You can't just say, they're going to kill us all. He's not like a lunatic. And yes, they're going to turn our children into bugs and snakes. Sounds crazy too, but like, it's the mask.
Starting point is 00:27:49 You've got to get rid of the bat. You see the robots are after me for the mask. No, yeah, I have, yes, I've been drinking. Let's back up a second. Okay. I work in a toy factory. Now, where is the coffee? Do we have one nearby that I can get a...
Starting point is 00:28:06 They're all Irish. How many times do I have to tell you? Shut up, shut up. It's a town full Irish. Just letting the Irish in, when will we learn? So we meet Agnes of the nurse. This right here, Tom Atkins, Dr. Dan Chalice, just sexually harassing this lady.
Starting point is 00:28:28 Want to take a nap with me? Because I definitely need to lie down in this hospital bed. He's like grabbing her ass and stuff. Well, that's, I can only thank God that little Jimmy is as young as he is. Because you know, and like, did Jimmy Chalice? Yes. Because in five years, he's going to be like going and visiting his dad at the hospital. And poor Agnes is going to, if she's still alive, if you walk a pass, he'd be like, yeah, I cracked her.
Starting point is 00:28:54 Oh! Did that real quick on a break ahead. Yeah, I've tried to hit all the females in this hospital, honest, if I'm going to be honest with you here. But I've only gotten the first floor. working on second. I think you're old enough to hear my infamous body count. You want to get nine years. You're good.
Starting point is 00:29:10 All right. So your mother got so pissed off when I would talk about this stuff. I don't know why. Linda, I'm not sleeping with them now. I'm just telling you all the awesome sex I had before you. Linda, shut up,
Starting point is 00:29:21 shut up. No, I'm not drunk. Shut up. Yeah, but he's like, I could use a lie down, which doctors do,
Starting point is 00:29:28 if I'm watching, you know, the pit and whatever. They always do have a nice nap. You know why. They have had a lot of, when they're working 13-hour shifts, not when they've been at fucking Muldoons,
Starting point is 00:29:39 cranking out the coronis. Yeah, I mean, those 13-hour shifts, there's definitely some off nights where you're taking a little authorizing of your own. They need a rest. Doesn't mean, you know, no big reason why. It's just they need a rest.
Starting point is 00:29:51 Get them some rest. And to be fair, he had no idea that a robot was about to come kill this guy. How would you know? Who would have guessed that? No, what would guess that? Not a million years, Doc.
Starting point is 00:30:00 But, yes, so he goes to have this lie down. she's hilariously like, oh, the blankets and pillows right here. We got milk and cookies in the fridge. You do see him go into this like kitchen area or whatever. It takes out a cookie and eats it. Goes to lay down at the same time. Here's Jollobot gets to the hotel and the hotel, the hospital. And he's walking around here.
Starting point is 00:30:20 And then, yes, he finds the room with Mr. Grimbridge and just three stooges this man to death. Like you see, you're like, what is he going to do? The fist is up like above the face. But then the two fingers just go like, bing. And they both. And I'm like, oh, my. And they just go right for the eyeballs and he's digging in there. And he pulls the nose bridge out, which is just like, it's crazy.
Starting point is 00:30:40 It's a grim bridge. Make sure it's done. It is a grim bridge. But by the way, that's such a weird name. You might as well name him, Goth Castle. What is that name? Oh, yeah, I'm Dr. John Goth Castle. That's actually pretty good.
Starting point is 00:30:51 That'd be great on like general hospital or passions. And meanwhile, meanwhile, down the hall, chowels. You're sure I could have as many cookies you want, right? There wasn't a limit on how many of the chocolate. She forgot. Well, she is, Agnes is smart. He needs something else in his body. Yeah, there's some cookies. There's even a bacon, egg and cheese in there if you need it. Yeah, the
Starting point is 00:31:11 greasier, the better doctor. Soak it up. But yeah, this guy gets his head fucking split open. It's insane. When the dude is dead, you see his hand sort of fall down. They've let this man keep the jack-a-lantern mask in his hand the whole time. And I'm like, you got to remove that. That's evidence.
Starting point is 00:31:27 That's evidence. Programmed this robot to remove evidence. Exactly. But it's a block. I do love that Jalobot is also like concerned about like a trace or whatever because he's like wiping his gloves on this fucking curtain or whatever and I'm like you're a robot you probably don't have fingerprints aren't you planning to pour gasoline all of yourself anyway exactly why do these gloves have to be crystal clean it's gross yes like you're sitting next to ted striker on an airplane you're gonna pour gasoline all over yourself uh but so agnes screams and she sees the the robot walking out
Starting point is 00:32:00 and chalice waking up and dude Tom Atkins doing this great. Like, I just woke. I got no fucking idea. Who's fucking screaming? I am drunk. And I was sleeping and now someone's yelling in a hospital. First of all,
Starting point is 00:32:13 where are the cookies? Second of all, where's that guy go with the group of hands? Like, he's running down this hallway trying to hold down the whiskey from making another mess that he'll make Agnes clean up. What do you think? Like,
Starting point is 00:32:23 Derek's point, does this robot know when he goes into the hospital he's going to emulate himself? Or it's like, there's like a program. Like once the guy's like, hey, cool it. Stop. he's like time to emulate, emulate alert.
Starting point is 00:32:35 I think, yeah, he's ready to sort of get out of there. But then it's like, oh, I've been spotted. Amolate protocol. Oh, man. And then, yeah, they do chase him out. Atkins gets right up to the car. And this dude gingerly just covers himself in fucking gasoline and just lights up. And I have to say Tom Atkins' reaction, not appropriate.
Starting point is 00:32:56 It's not as shocked as he should be. The car explodes to such a degree. Was there dynamite in there? I was having a rough day too, buddy, but that's a lot. When I let my robots out into the town, they only drive cars that are wired to blow. Immediately. But that's the 70s and 80s film, right? If a car explodes, it's going to go up because we didn't really have any special effects.
Starting point is 00:33:18 We sure could blow up a car. We could definitely blow up a car. And whether that was a huge, you know, head-on collision or a fucking bird feather fell on it. Give me that sweet, sweet explosion. We had explosions and we had squibs. We had them buy the fucking buckets. So it's a dinosaur movie, right? Okay, so you're not going to see the dinosaur so much,
Starting point is 00:33:35 but you will see a car explode when he sees the dinosaur. That's what we can do. Okay. Yeah, I'd watch that. And I noticed that you're going to have a couple helicopters in this dinosaur movie. Guess what? Each one of them can blow up. Each single one of them can blow up.
Starting point is 00:33:49 You got to go to somebody else for the dinners. I don't know what. I have no idea how to do that. All right. I mean, you're making a shark movie and your puppet shark ain't working or whatever. I don't know if I can help you there, but I could drive this car off the dock and it will explode before it hits the water. I will tell you.
Starting point is 00:34:01 This, if you are making a machine shock that's supposed to look like a shock, I can blow out that machine shock. That one I can do for sure. I'll blow up a puppet for you. It's absolutely, that is possible. Any electronics or auto, I touch, explodes. If it is an animal, sir, I might have a problem with the sheriff's department. Yeah, I would love to do a Green Lantern movie in 1985, sure. So anything he thinks of, he can manifest with the ring.
Starting point is 00:34:30 Okay, I can't do any of that. But what if one of the things you manifest with the ring, which I don't do, is a car that explodes. That I can do. I blow up a green card. Does that count? You can paint the car green. Green Oldsmobile. Does that work for you?
Starting point is 00:34:47 So you want him to green lantern himself a dog. I can paint a dog green. That's what you're looking for. I can do that for sure. I got some guys. Film the rest of this outside of the States. You want to blow up that dog. We can't blow up the dog.
Starting point is 00:35:00 Got that trouble with that a couple years ago. If you go to Columbia, I'd tell you what. Got a guy in Columbia blow up a dog real quick for you. Real quick for you. It's a nice country. I do feel like there's no way we couldn't have referenced this because it's so out there. The last time we talked about this movie, the guy that's clearly a dude who was going to a Halloween party as a firefighter. We do talk about him.
Starting point is 00:35:22 This dude's cheap ass fucking firefighter hat. It's just flopping back and forth. I made a note about that. but then I was like, do I want to bring this up? Is some firefighter going to correct me? No. Our hats are actually floppy. Because it looks like this dude got that firefighter helmet from the same check cashing slash liquor store place that Tom Atkins got those shitty rabbit masks.
Starting point is 00:35:44 I'm sure every fireman out there, every fireperson out there is ashamed of this fireman. And it's sad to fucking deal with this shit. Let's the state of the world we live in now. I'm afraid to insult this fire. You know, then the firemen are yelling. Don't you worry. The devil himself. Oh, you were talking shit about firefighters, dude, what?
Starting point is 00:36:04 Let me get Charlene's number. She is a miracle worker error. I do, but he's also the worst extra in film history. He's just like talking to no one, nodding his head to nothing. Yeah, totally. When you watch the scene, this is also a great first watch, by the way, in case this is your first time hearing about this movie. You've never heard about it, but you've never given it a spin.
Starting point is 00:36:24 You joined this episode. Watch the movie first. Absolutely. Without knowing what's going to happen. Pause now. Yeah, yeah, there are just some bonkers-ass moments. Also, I mean, this is this whole scene is a bonkers-ass moment because listen, man, don't you have an office? Like, as a doctor at this hospital, why are you making this call to your wife in front of all these guys?
Starting point is 00:36:45 Because he's screaming at this lady on the fucking fucking, Linda, I can't get into it. Like, all these people are like, calling his wife. That's what you do. They're screaming. A normal day. It's a normal thing. And he makes a promise that he's going to take the kids on Saturday. He will take the...
Starting point is 00:36:59 That's how he gets out of this one. I'll take all night. 10 a.m. Saturday. These little bastards all night. Don't worry. That's what I hear every Thursday. Guess what happens on Saturday? It's going to be Tuesday, honey.
Starting point is 00:37:10 He does notice that this dude is clutching the Silver Shamrock mask. So this is him being like, oh, that's like the masks. My ex-wife's boyfriend bought my children. Because the kids are like, fuck your shitty mask. Dad, we have Silver Shamrock. Yes. And those kids love that commercial. They love it.
Starting point is 00:37:29 You got to tape that off a TV. That's like its own show for these kids. So you're just rewinding that tape, dude. Just loving it. And he said that this mask here is going to kill us all, huh? That might just give me some gas in the engine. Oh, hey, Linda, I got you a Halloween mask. You always wanted to be a jackalander.
Starting point is 00:37:48 Yes, what this dead drunk said. One of the funniest edits in this movie is right here we cut. And it's the next morning, Sunday the 24th, comes up. this car is still smoking in the parking lot. It is so fun. It takes a while to cool it down. I mean, I feel like they would have made sure that night
Starting point is 00:38:07 that it wasn't still smoke. See, that guy was a fake firefighter. Look, I'll tell you this right now. I would have told that car by now. That car would have been out of that goddamn parking lot by now. I guarantee if Sid was on the job,
Starting point is 00:38:20 Sid would have taken the head of that. And this is when, because again, I've seen this movie dozens of times, still don't know really what this movie wants me to think about Dr. Chalice, but I am positive. He's a little curious about the mystery, right? Like, what happened to my patient?
Starting point is 00:38:34 Oh, this mask. Yeah. The second this 10 walks in is like, my dad is dead, now he's on the case. Now he's a thousand percent on the case. This is Stacey Nelkin as Ellie Grimbridge. We're calling it a case. That's what we're referring to what he's about to do. Case of Miller High Life.
Starting point is 00:38:51 Okay. That's fair. That's not bad. Important note right now, the age difference. between these two actors is 21 years. Nice. Just keep that your back pocket for later. That's fun.
Starting point is 00:39:03 You don't have a blackjack between you. 21. 21. For a second, I thought I was thinking the Billy Club. I think she was okay with her. I don't think you'd either. They don't have to act like a caveman there.
Starting point is 00:39:18 But she runs in and she's like, you know, I'm the daughter. Let me just. She says, let's just get this over with. And the guy's like, all right lady and like pulls the sheet up this woman almost vomits on her father's dead body oh that'd be cool get the fuck out of here castle get the fuck out of her i'm so sorry for your loss so very i'm jan chalice nice to meet you and dude chalice is spying what's going on here and he's
Starting point is 00:39:41 looking at this lady you know newly uh lost her father this that and the other thing and he's like nearly 23 years old exactly new to drinking in public legally and he's like huh well i was a shitty father to my real kids but now this hot lady's missing a dad too. Maybe I could be a dad to her. Dr. Daddy over here. Sex dad. I would like an aged drunk just like me to fuck my daughter when she's your age.
Starting point is 00:40:06 That's exactly what I would hope for. I think that's common, right? You know, sometimes, you know, you look for your mother or your father and your partner. It's called paying it forward. There you go. And sometimes if you're in like a bad lifetime movie or some sort of like primetime soap opera or something like that, you wind up. up dating a friend of your fathers. Sometimes that even
Starting point is 00:40:29 happens. This happens. You never know. The wrong daddy. Oh yeah, dude. So, boom, Wednesday the 27th, going right through it. We're at the morgue where we meet Teddy, who Dr. Chalice has definitely had sex
Starting point is 00:40:46 with multiple times. Absolutely. These folks fucking fool around all the time down at Muldoon's bathroom. It's crazy. Think about what they're doing on top of those bodies down there. Oh, yeah. That's the way Teddy likes it. Cold and stiff. I mean, coroners, don't get me started. Oh, you know, update on coroner entertainment.
Starting point is 00:41:06 Oh, please. So let me, you found out, I'm right, right? No, well, there was another, like, the coroner was murdered show or whatever. And I was like, oh, maybe it was because he was diddling. And it turned out the murder had nothing to do with his profession. Oh, it was really let down. Damn. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:19 Maybe someone diddled him when they put him in the morgue. Oh, that could have been, because he was murdered by some crooked, uh, uh, uh, fellas morticians, you know. Oh, wow. Competitions. It was like competitions. Yeah. They fucking ousted this old time.
Starting point is 00:41:32 Those out the mortician. Well, it's probably like serpico, right? Like all these morticians are diddling everybody. And then the one guy comes around who doesn't diddle and is like, that's sick. They'll fucking murder him. Right. You take the sheet off a body and say, how else do I know you? I can trust you.
Starting point is 00:41:49 You got to fuck it in front of me. Just fingery ass real quick. There's a great line here. where Teddy, the mortician or coroner or whatever, is like, I don't know, it came in and maybe he was on drugs or something. And it's a great Dan Chalice like, oh, I've seen people on drugs. And this person was not on any drug I know.
Starting point is 00:42:10 Right. Yeah, I have a mirror right here. This guy doesn't look anything like me. Because he's like, oh, no, he was totally controlled, which I think is like the way he's dressed or whatever. I'm like, you've never seen a fucking business guy on Coke. It's 1982. Come on.
Starting point is 00:42:22 Come on. Man, it's right there. The quailudes haven't expired yet. know those dudes are doing that shit. But yeah, you definitely get the vibe, because he's like flirtatious with this woman. And it's a lot of like, you know, oh, yeah, you do this right. Get this autopsy report done fast there. I'll take you out to dinner.
Starting point is 00:42:41 And it's a lot of like, oh, you always say you'll take me out to dinner. Oh, I like spending time with you, Teddy. Oh, no. It's not like I'm just calling you at 11 o'clock for it's not been invented yet, but they will eventually call a booty call, you understand. Look, right now what I invented it last year. I was like, I'm going to call this lady and have a sex one. You know what?
Starting point is 00:42:58 I'm going to subscribe you a booty call. Let me just write this down on my prescription. Doctor's orders. Come on now. A room service is a meal. You know this. I know this. And that hamburger was a hell of a meal.
Starting point is 00:43:10 I'll say it. How about this? Take two pumps and call me in the morning. Now, I, you know, I feel like we start it when we do so we can make the song work. The eight more days till Halloween. But like, I'm kind of curious because we have, he goes in on the 27th and has this morgue meeting, right? After that scene is done, it cuts to the 29th
Starting point is 00:43:30 and we're at the bar, and then we call Muldoons. What was going on with the investigation or the case such as it is on the 28th? Blackout drunk, dude. That's what I was going to. It's just, like, he's missing six days. He thinks it's Thursdays to do. He's got ketchup to do. But you're telling me it's Halloween
Starting point is 00:43:48 tomorrow? What fucking day is it? I didn't take the kids that day, didn't take the kids this day. I slept in the floor of my garage that night. That was a bad one. No, Linda, I was hot on the case. I'm a doctor, not a fucking detective. Okay. No, Linda, I was
Starting point is 00:44:04 at the hospital yesterday taken on cases. Some guy had a heart attack. That's what you had. What do they call him a heart attack? Yeah, Linda, he had a heart attack. And he had the cancer. A bad case of cancer. But this is a great looking bar. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:44:20 This bar is so awesome. A lot of wood paneling, very dark. They got those like captains chairs like at the bar so you got some back support. It looks like they're already closing half the bar because the chairs are on the table. Well, you know,
Starting point is 00:44:37 he's been there. They've asked him to leave. Because it's just Atkins and this bartender. Atkins is watching the TV and it's like some cartoon with like a dancing cannabis plant. I don't know what the hell this was and he's like, well, I don't want to watch this shit. Why don't you turn something else on?
Starting point is 00:44:52 The great move of turning on Halloween 78. It's like the TV ad. I love that like Cochran's advertising time that he has bought is after this broadcast of the movie. And this is a commercial that's like, watch the classic Halloween
Starting point is 00:45:07 on Halloween night and then stay around for the big drawing afterwards. It's a cool, it's a cool idea. Obviously, it's the first time that, you know, first and only time Michael Myers was not in a Halloween movie. It's cool to just take the reality one step further into now it's a movie in, within a movie.
Starting point is 00:45:24 Right. And this was always the idea, right? A carpenter wanted these to be anthologies. He only wanted to do the first Halloween. Yeah. And they made him. You know, they had to sign off on two, get money for two. And then three, I mean, he also did like a rewrite of the screenplay at some point of this, I think. Yeah, I think that's right.
Starting point is 00:45:41 Yeah. So it's not like he was completely uninvolved, but the anthology idea is cool, but so is Michael Meyer. It's tough to do. Like, I feel like once you make the first sequel, you've lost the battle. You know what I mean? Yeah. I have to do this with two. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:56 You know. Because it's weird. I mean, look, he's iconic at that point. And I mean, like, like, Carpenter was like, but I killed him. I'm like, have you seen a horror movie, sir? Do you know what's going on in the genre which you are mastering? But, I mean, think about it this way, though. So you're getting this movie together in 1981.
Starting point is 00:46:13 I mean, so I guess you could take the note from like, what, the universal horror monsters. Yeah, that's true. Otherwise, like, you got no Jason Borees. There's no Freddy. Yeah. That stuff really hasn't happened in the way that we know it now. That's a good point. I love this bartender wearing this tropical t-shirt,
Starting point is 00:46:27 like totally inappropriate for this kind of bars so it works in a weird way. You know that this guy likes fun. He's a dude that will have some fun in the backseat. I think that's why he's got the cartoons on. It's like, oh, this is going to be like a cool hipster bar, but then Tom Atkins's old drunk whilst watch the old football game. There's nobody cool coming to this bar.
Starting point is 00:46:46 I mean, let's be honest. So Ellie shows up. She's now officially the coolest person in the bar, I guess. The only other person. The youngest, for sure. And one of the MVP lines of this movie, The Hospital told me you'd be here. Good God.
Starting point is 00:47:02 There you go. There you go. Come on. Come on get a Jack and go. Give him one of my Jack and Coke. It's three parts Jack to understand. Oh, you want his address to see him at home. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:12 It's a hoolla hands. Now, I'm sleeping in the back because Linda kicked me out. Bartenders is emergency contact. No, just give him another shot. He'll come too. It's all right. Yes, I'm Sam. Yes, I am a bartender.
Starting point is 00:47:28 Yes, I am his emergency contact. Oh, my God. Something happened to Dr. Chalas. My kid can't go to college no more. Oh, my God, my best customer. So, oh, so this is a detail that I didn't notice until this time through. I think one of the things he was doing on the previous day was attending this guy's funeral.
Starting point is 00:47:49 Oh, yeah. It could be a deleted scene. Yeah, she says something about Or he's like, oh yeah, she says I saw you at the funeral the other way around like whatever. And the absolute great Oh yeah, your father had some words for you
Starting point is 00:48:04 before he died. Tell Ellie, I love her. She's like, now you're full of fucking shit, dude. She appreciates the effort at least, but it is like you're full of shit. And it is so funny how bad Tom Atkins is at lying right? Tell Ellie I love her. Huge gulp of beer.
Starting point is 00:48:25 We've been having like an Irish wake for your father. I don't know if he was Irish. I was having an Irish week. Just me and Sam here. Not much of a turnout here, so thanks for showing up. By the way, I am sorry about this scene I made at his funeral. I should not have cried that
Starting point is 00:48:40 harder that much. But so he sort of lays down like what all his suspicions are with everything. He tells her everything that he knows up to this point. And we go to this dude's store, which I guess it's, is it a full-on toy store or is this a hardware store selling other fun stuff? It looks to be more the second. Like it's got like it probably has a toy aisle kind of a deal. Right, right. Right. Right. In Halloween itself, right. Yeah, it's like
Starting point is 00:49:06 a hardware store where they steal other things from it. Yeah, exactly. Because she says something, something like, oh yeah, you probably go to the, you go to the big mall over there. The kids are keeping this place alive, which leads to me to the toys were a side item, but now they're the full item. But now, this is a weird thing, and she only does it this one time never again. I don't know why they use that take and left it in the movie, but she
Starting point is 00:49:28 refers to, she's like something, yeah, when Papa's store, and I was like, you're not a fucking Lower East Side immigrant. Like, why is why is he Papa for this one moment in this movie? She says it twice, because she says why would someone hurt Papa? And I'm like, what are we talking about?
Starting point is 00:49:45 It's so weird because the rest of it, it's like, father this, my father that would ever be. And these papas that come up. Kind of weird. Papa was what I called my grandfather. FYI. Is that right? Tonight, no, I had a... Did he get shot in the street with a couple oranges in the
Starting point is 00:50:00 dad? No, he did not. Thankfully. I called my grandfather dead. Oh, yeah. Well, well, look at them. Well, yeah. I didn't. I didn't. I didn't know. I didn't. I didn't know them. They were gone by the time. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:16 So she looks through his little date book there And it's like, oh yeah On the 20th pickup masks on the 21st Have lunch with somebody And she's like, he never made it to that lunch with whatever So we got to figure out what he was going on To pick up these masks at the date book or whatever And so she's like somewhere between here and Santa Mira
Starting point is 00:50:40 Which is the town My dad ran into trouble Papa ran into trouble Santa Mira What is that Mrs. Claus's first name? You know, Santa's wife, Mira. Mira, where's my back? Mira, I'm going to be late.
Starting point is 00:50:55 We have to get the reindeer. Mira, where are you? Where is Santa's Mira? Chris, calm down. Oh, with these cringles. You know how they get? These cringles. But yeah, so she mentions here, too.
Starting point is 00:51:11 She's like, I'm not going back to Los Angeles. So we know a little bit about her where she lives, I guess. We don't know where they are. they're just NorCal properish somewhere close enough that it takes you like less than a day to get to this other place in northern California. Yeah, something like that. One of the other ladies mentioned San Francisco. Oh, right. This is dead meat.
Starting point is 00:51:29 Margaret. Yeah, Mrs. shot the fucking fucking gutman. Ms. Gutman. Yes, that's right. So, you know, here's another great landmark scene in this movie. Yelling at Linda once again on the fucking pay phone because I'm making up this whole thing about going to a doctor. because I'm going with this fucking
Starting point is 00:51:47 27 year old girl up to a seaside town. Not going to tell my ex-wife about that. What does it matter of what happened Saturday? Huh? It left. We're past Saturday. We're not there anymore. But yeah, it is. I'm not going to be able to take them now because I have this emergency doctor conference. This is some
Starting point is 00:52:05 Michael Mancini shit. It is. Diabolical. Well, he also, she's screaming at him, the kids don't remember your face. That's a tough one to hear. Well, this new kid, I'm sleeping with knows my face now. She can tell them all about it. Also, I mean,
Starting point is 00:52:21 they just fucking saw you in the other day. You gave them the liquor store Halloween masks. Come down a little bit. Nancy Loomis, also known as Nancy Keys, was married to Tommy Lee Wallace at the time, FYI. husband and wife combo. I was sort of scrolling
Starting point is 00:52:40 through it, so I didn't listen to the entire thing. And Gutman was married to Atkins. I was just going to say, okay, so it's confirmed. because I did listen to I've got the Scream Factory Blu-ray that came out a really long time ago. I was bummed that the 4K
Starting point is 00:52:53 Steelbook didn't show up yet. But I put the commentary, there's a commentary, one's a Tommy Lee Wallace commentary, and another one is Tom Atkins and like some guy. Some road sodas. He's a guy's named Jack Daniels.
Starting point is 00:53:06 It's some dude that I think like he makes the... Jameson. John Jameson. And so he's just, it's not a great commentary because it's this guy being like, hey, Tom Atkins, tell us all these cool stories that don't have anything to do with Halloween 3 or whatever. That guy's his bud. Last time, why he's a smart man. That's why he can produce all these DVD supplemental materials. But one of that, he's like, oh yeah, there's my wife getting shot in the face. Like when you go on it's so fucking funny. That's awesome. And I, the only reason I really put it on, let's let's be real here in the room. I wanted to see what they talk about over the two sex scenes.
Starting point is 00:53:45 It's a great question. So please, what do they say? It's a lot of like, oh boy, here I come. Like on the first one. And then the second one, it's a lot of like, not as, it's very uncomfortable because that's where he's fucking sucking on her titty and whatever. Sucking on her titty. Like you're wanting me, calling me all the time.
Starting point is 00:54:03 Yes. And then I think him and his wife get divorced in 85. Oh, is that right? Oh, how about that? I wonder if this led to it. He's a bit of a little too hard Yeah, totally. You'd suck on my tit in the movie. I was at the script before
Starting point is 00:54:17 intimacy coordinators. By the way, he's having this conversation. Big arguments. No, no, it's a boring doctor's conference. Close it. Big Sixer of Miller High Life. The champagne of beers. He's not having fun in the back, ladies gentlemen. He's having fun in the front seat. That's what's going on. Shotgun with the shit. That delicious nectar of the
Starting point is 00:54:35 gods. And if you were this girl, you got to be like, okay. I didn't know. She knows what she's in for. I think so. When he said he was going to get something to drink, I assumed the coffee. That's why I said I'll take it light and sweet. I didn't mean, oh, no, he got me a wine cooler. Okay, that makes sense.
Starting point is 00:54:50 It's a, it's a causeway breeze here, lady. It's delicious and blue. Light and sweet. And gregoni in a solo cup. Hey, I'll give it a shot. By the way, in the making of like little like talking head feature or whatever, there's discussion about like how they couldn't show her nipples for whatever reason. and for ratings purposes.
Starting point is 00:55:13 So you see you're getting out of the shower in like, you know, there's the steam and all that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then I imagine, like, we can't show her a nipple. I tell you, why don't you just put it in your mouth. Hide that nipple in your mouth. And your moustachioed 48-year-old mouth. The financial future of this movie depends on your mouth
Starting point is 00:55:34 in that nipples interaction. And apparently, we're 1916 now. This was like, find it. I think they said it was like, first scene they shot together too which is weirder yeah that sucks and it but like I can also see the like let's just get it out of the way yeah it is I heard he was I heard Atkins was a class act about that's nice that's what people it's a punchline for a fucking old conservative's like oh
Starting point is 00:55:56 intimacy coordinator blah like no it's like somebody should be there to be like is this all right okay cool and I think it should be me I think I got a handle on this thing you got a handle on it All right. All right. Here's the thing. I would like to apply to be an intimacy quarter. I'm good at great, great communicator.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Got hundreds of hours of a podcast, thousands. And I like to watch people have sex. So I think, in conclusion, and because I like people watching, well, I like watching people have sex so much,
Starting point is 00:56:27 I know all the moves. Oh, no, I don't think you have to listen to any of the episodes. No, I don't think that's important. No, I don't think that's very important at all. I'm a good communicating. Caring and trustworthy. I won't
Starting point is 00:56:41 I'll put my hand down my pants when I get home Look do you remember what you said six weeks ago I certainly don't I don't remember when I said six minutes ago I do love when they speed off On their road trip the camera stays Yeah outside the store
Starting point is 00:56:59 And it sort of just tilts to the left And there's a store selling televisions And the fucking commercial comes on All the TVs in the window again and it's just a nice like this is the this is the act break of the movie right now like now we're getting on to Santa Mira we're getting into act two
Starting point is 00:57:17 let's just hang back I love the patience in the edit of this movie I think it's a well made movie Lee Wallace does a really good job doing what he does which he was you know filming it hey Dean Cundee crazy thing though that I just learned the other day too was
Starting point is 00:57:33 this was a Joe Dante movie that's nuts like right up until the last like six days before and then it like, hey, Tommy Lee Wallace, come on. Yeah. I mean, that would have been better. I mean, I mean, Joe Dante. A Dante version would be great.
Starting point is 00:57:47 But it probably would have been sillier. And I like that this movie's got a real dark edge to it. It does. That's fair. You know, like I love Joe Dante. No shame of Dante. But like, you probably wouldn't get this ending, right? There would be more like mustache twirling with the whole Stonehenge thing.
Starting point is 00:58:03 Yeah, yeah, yeah. But if Dante stayed on, 30% better chance that Robert Picardo might show up. That's true. So that's true. Bob Picardo in a fucking Halloween movie. That would be awesome. I guess you play one of the robots maybe. Yeah, that could work.
Starting point is 00:58:16 You got Irish him up, dies hair red. Well, because these dudes all have like meat and potatoes working guy haircuts too. So like I could see it happening with Picard. I've seen pictures of Bob Picardo like younger when he had hair. Yeah. Handsome guy. You got a folder of those, don't you? Oh, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:58:35 And it's a folder, not an electronic folder, you see. So when the government comes with the computer, I sell my Bob Picardo picks. Oh, good, you can run away with those. When we saw Robert Picardo at STLV over the summer, it just saw him in passing in the hallway. Yep. He was dressed like an angel. Like he was, like, and I mean like. A straw hat or whatever?
Starting point is 00:58:53 A white hat, like a totally white outfit? Like I was like, did, is that the ghost of Robert Piccaro? It looked like you could run a candy shop in Louisiana in 1950. It's either that, an angel or Hannibal Lecter at the end of the sound. Yeah, it was a hell of a hat. It was a real like, are you going to eat in that outfit? Because I'd be so worried about spills. Spills on the hat, spills on the big white shirt that he had.
Starting point is 00:59:17 Well, yes, Andrew, I'm having an old friend for dinner. Fair enough. I do, on the ride there, it's like, oh, yeah, it's a town full of Irish people who make a Halloween mask. She's like, huh, only in California. It's a real, like, there's a couple of lines in this movie. Yeah, I know, this doesn't make sense. Just fucking, whatever. She goes, there's another one where she puts the emphasis on Irish.
Starting point is 00:59:36 she goes Irish Halloween masks and we didn't wipe this off the planet didn't get rid of this? It is weird that they go Irish and then Stonehenge which I know England is nearby but also like America's got that rich history with witchcrafts Yeah that's kind of right there Yeah that's actually true But it doesn't it hasn't it's not the imagery of Stonehenge like that's like oh
Starting point is 01:00:02 This is a cauldron from Salem that we got it's the spooky he stops that you had. We talked about it the other year. Devil's Rain does do that connection. That's true. Kind of modernizes it. That's actually true. But yeah, you're right.
Starting point is 01:00:15 Maybe go English to druid stuff. Right. You know, like, oh, these are easy. I mean, I guess it's kind of what we're doing anyway, but yeah. The Irish. You know, they're right there. I would. I appreciate like a close-up of them doing circuitry,
Starting point is 01:00:28 adding like a little piece of Stonehenge into it to make it work evil. I think you sort of see them do it. Like, you see them in putting them on the, The medallion thing, yeah, that they put on the back of the mask. But I would like to see more details about how, I know it doesn't work in real life. Michael Mann's Halloween 3 season of the Whitch, really get into the tech specs of it. Yes. A boat chase would have helped.
Starting point is 01:00:54 I need a director that's obsessed with like systems and how systems work and whatever. It's really getting with the nitty gritty of the. No, no, yeah. You know, your Halloween 3 is going to be four and a half hours long. And I'm going to tell you why. Because we need to build up this act. character. I want two divorces in this movie before we get here. Can you have sex at a beach house lit by a silvery moon? That's a good idea. Okay, we can do that.
Starting point is 01:01:17 I need Spenote. No, I need him on here. What are we doing here if I don't got Dante? There is a great. So yeah, in this montage of driving up the coast or whatever, there is a lot of the expository stuff about the factory. But there's also like you're hearing them trying to navigate the road. And there's a, there's a weird, like they're coming to an intersection, you hear Atkins like, oh, hey, wait. Oh, no, yeah, that's the right way. Like, that's just one of the lines in this montage is them almost taking a wrong turn. He says very pointedly to this girl, and I will call her a girl. He's a child.
Starting point is 01:01:51 Why don't we get a couple of rooms? He says a couple of rooms at the motel. We can, you know, we'll have a place to talk so no one's, everyone's staring at us, it's a company town, yada, yada, yada. The second they get to the motel, this is my wife, we should get one room. Oh, no, that's the cover. Oh, did I see. Oh, shit, tonight.
Starting point is 01:02:08 My mistake. Yeah. I was just so flustered, you know. That whole ride, it flustered me. Oh, yeah, Child Bride. Hey, yeah. What are you with the Branch Divideons? No, yeah.
Starting point is 01:02:20 Give me a second room for storage. We're going to store things in there. I was trying to recall the title earlier. We just started talking about Santa Mira, and I couldn't pull it, and I had the seat on my notes. But Santa Mira is also the town from the OG body snatches. Yes. Which is a cool, because, like, Tommy Lee Wall
Starting point is 01:02:37 was talking about like they wanted it to be like more of a body snatches vibe it's a pod movie not like a Michael Mike not like a slash yeah a pod movie not a knife movie or something like yes yeah yeah yeah which it's a that's a great ass movie to pull from for if you're trying to get the vibe it's like cool to eventually
Starting point is 01:02:53 replace her with a robot I feel like they could have gone further with that idea and like more and more people you know that we're human become robot yes maybe Gutman comes back as a robot that's a cool idea oh yeah my father's walking around yeah totally I would I send all this overboard
Starting point is 01:03:09 if I get to actually see what happens on Halloween night. Yeah, I'm sure. If the plan goes to fruition. If the plan goes to fruition, which like it felt like... I think it does. Yeah, like the third one, it's, it ends as if it happened. Yeah, they don't turn off that third channel.
Starting point is 01:03:23 Exactly. They don't do it. So like, I'm like, come on, come, come. Give me a little bit. Which is who, now we'll get to it, but who is they? Who is he calling? That's a great question. This is the day of antenna TV. These are local affiliates. You'd have to call CBS, NBC, ABC, ABC, individually, I would imagine. Hello, President Television.
Starting point is 01:03:41 Yes, it's Dr. Chalice. And that's the thing is like, sure, like, you could say, like, oh, maybe there was early satellite or cable in 81. Yeah, of course. But, like, they're not turning off the country. No. And to say nothing of the fact that it's 9 o'clock in California, it's already on the East Coast, like, half the country's already dead.
Starting point is 01:04:00 Which would be cool. They're, like, towards the commotion in the end, maybe that's like on the news or something. Yeah, exactly. unexplained event on the East Coast. You would hope by the time we get to Mountain Time we might stop airing that giveaway. Possibly, maybe
Starting point is 01:04:16 let's just cool it on the giveaway. I know Silver Shamrock bought the air time. It should take place in the East Coast and he fails and he keeps driving west to try to stop each time zone. That three pound of chocolate goes to little Billy Simpson
Starting point is 01:04:33 doing the fucking drawing. That's all here for Billy Simpson. I would have... You got to tell me what this, like, prizes. Yeah, that's a great question. When you win the drawing or whatever. Question I had. So we got the, you know, the Jalo bots,
Starting point is 01:04:48 their robots and everything like that. What about like dude that runs the Rafferty, the guy that runs the Rosa Shannon Motel? What about the ladies working in the office? Is everyone a robot in this town but Cochran? No, I think those are just people that are just kind of in his pocket. Really? I think Rafferty is a...
Starting point is 01:05:06 a computer. Oh, really? I think my rule, robots don't talk in this movie. We don't see robots talk. That's true. That's a computer. Because at the end, Melkin doesn't even talk as a robot. That's fair point. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The whole Irishman, which is identifiable for the American audience. We got to underline that
Starting point is 01:05:22 Irish part. It's kind of crazy, though, because yeah, it's like, they're obviously all in on it. Like, oh, I'm sorry, we lost your mask order. Like, she knows what's going on on a Halloween night. Look out below. But, yeah, Chalice, immediately. Oh, my. wife here. Like you fucked that up immediately, dude. Well, not yet. That gives me an hour or so. He does the cool movie thing that you used to be able to do up till about 1990 something.
Starting point is 01:05:46 You go into the hotel lobby, by the way, you take a look at the register. Yeah, just a big little book to see who's been doing what. This guy Raffordy, by the way, played by Michael Curry. Eric, I noted this for you. Born in Kingston, New York. Are you funny enough? But this guy also played. Listeners at home I grew up near there This guy also played Mr. Sheridan on Cheers He was the guy who owned So when Rebecca Howe comes on
Starting point is 01:06:18 When Kirstie Alley comes on It's like Sam Malone has sold the bar To this company Oh okay And this guy is like the head head of the company He's only on a few episodes But kind of a memorable like stuff shirt Sort of character that Kirsteally
Starting point is 01:06:32 Was always trying to like appease Because he was the big boss So what you're saying is he's not Irish is what I mean. No, no, no, he's not Irish at all. No, no, no, no. Kingsden, New York. Well, yeah, well, there's a few there. We're trying to get rid of. We meet the other
Starting point is 01:06:46 the other, what are they, the, the big cuff, cuff, buddy Cuffner. Cuffner. And you know these people are pigs because they're driving a fucking RV. That was it, that was 80s like subtitled. These people are pigs are driving an RV.
Starting point is 01:07:01 Well, a bigger thing that has to be, when they come in, they are listening. They are Blair and disco. So guess what? We're also talking swingers. We're 100% talking swingers. These two people are 100% swinger. That's not up for debate. That's not up for debate. They're supposed to represent the ugliest of ugly Americans
Starting point is 01:07:20 and the making a feature at the costume designer who was a holdover from Halloween 2, interestingly. She said like this was the most fun she had on this project. I bet. I was trying to make them look as ugly Americans as possible. Yes, exactly. Well, the haircut with the double chin does not help. They really made him look unappealing in a base sense.
Starting point is 01:07:39 And this disgusting shit boy to beat the band. So he gets his. I wish I could do this to all them. I'm going to become Colonel Cochran. I'm going to be Lieutenant Cochran. All the shitty boys, look
Starting point is 01:07:57 at the TV. Oh, yes. Get all your disgusting shit boys. The giveaways happen. Oh, all the little disgusting shit boys on Halloween night. He's in his apartment alone doing this. Betty the wife also, the Swinger vibe is right away. She jumps out this RV and she's
Starting point is 01:08:13 like, oh hey, Dr. Chal is like, this guy, this big fat guy and this Hawaiian shirt in the dumb hat, wants to watch his wife suck this dude's dick. That is what's going on 100% motels are all equipped with a cuck chair so you're good to go. It's easy. It's easy.
Starting point is 01:08:31 Say Margaret, could you look after the boy while we get to know the neighbors? You get to sleep in the RV tonight, little buddy. That's the, oh, yeah, Millhouse, we got to this tent. You can sleep out in the backyard every night. But like, where were they getting into this motel and that disgusting shit boy gets on his bicycle and immediately goes into the road, the mother's screaming, not in the road. And he like flips her off.
Starting point is 01:08:56 What a disgusting shit boy. Oh, absolutely. You're watching this movie for the first time. You're like, man, I hope fucking bugs come out of that kid's mouth. Yes. I'm hoping a holy fucking vehicle comes speeding down the way We get inside the motel and he's like oh you know I guess I could And he's this is all fucking fucking phony baloney do I
Starting point is 01:09:16 I really screwed that up didn't I guess I can sleep on the I'll sleep with the car because it's got to be better than this floor because oh boy my back And it's like where do you want to sleep that's a dumb question miss Grumbridge Wow That's a dude just making this move also it's like how to this I mean, she consents to it, I guess. But at the same time, it's like, I am in the middle of nowhere.
Starting point is 01:09:40 Yeah. Everyone's weird. This guy. He's actually getting the murder of my father, by the way. I don't want to become my father. I guess we're going to have to go along with this. I guess I do want to fuck my father a little bit. That's what it is.
Starting point is 01:09:51 Right. It's the father issue. I better sleep with this guy so the fucking jalo bot doesn't make me look like Shemp Howard. Yeah. The question is where does the law? Or he doesn't. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:10:00 It's true. That's true. Whether or not she's into it. it, I think is answered by the fact that she packed this lingerie. Like, that's in the second scene. Uh-huh. But it's there. She brought it before.
Starting point is 01:10:11 Oh, no, no, no. No, no. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I just, I want to make sure we talk about both sex scenes. Or I'm sorry. Or maybe she bought it at the curfewed, a shamrock lingerie company next to the liquor store that stays up until 9 p.m. No, Erin Gobras.
Starting point is 01:10:30 Oh, I like that. Oh, God. I like that. Yes. By the way, the curfew while the sun is still out. Dude, six o'clock. Fuck you. All this, yeah, all the laundry they had there was green. All of it. Every single piece. And it's kind of like, I don't understand, unless it's like we need all the townspeople inside.
Starting point is 01:10:51 I don't get that out of it. So when we're like having the robots go out and do deliveries, nobody sees them. I don't understand why this is why I thought they were all robots. It's because that would make more sense that they all have to go in at a certain time. To charge. and you charge, some things to that effect. But the fact that they have this for the people, too, I don't get it. It's time to go inside and drink your Jameson to charge for tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:11:12 And then you'll go to sleep. And you won't snore a bit. I do love when we're doing the, there's a PA announcement, everybody inside or whatever. There's a lady that grabs a little kitten and brings it in and closes the door. That's how hardcore they are, dude. This is the sex scene. It's pretty good, right? the first one?
Starting point is 01:11:32 No, no, no. Well, the first one, it's just they start making out and that's kind of like the end of it. You assume that something happened. Something definitely had it, but then this is we're getting a lot of these shots of you. You know that the town is being surveilled. There's like security cameras all over the place. And he's breaking this curfew wandering around with this bottle of liquor like trying to
Starting point is 01:11:49 like trick any drunks to come out of the way. Hey, anybody want to give me some information? There's some booze out of you. Like a bag of bacon with dogs. Yes. That's what he's doing. He's trying to lead them out of their their hovels and whatever. in heaven. And this unhoused guy being like, oh, they wouldn't hire a local boy. They had to bring in these Irish people. Yeah. Oh, hey, you mind if I get a sip with that fellow? I don't got no
Starting point is 01:12:12 diseases or nothing. I'm good. How about you take the whole thing? You're either taking the whole thing or you're not getting any of it. You can have it and you're just going to tell me everything you know about this town. Look, I'll be sure. I got diseases, but no lip disease. You'll be just fine there, better. I'll pass these along to Ellie, no problems. surely she'd like to take them as well there's yeah so he's he gives the whole thing it is it it is an interesting like yeah I lived here my whole life
Starting point is 01:12:38 this dude builds this fucking factory doesn't hire anyone around here or whatever and he's doing like a hey Cochran fuck you like drunkenly screaming into the night he threatens to get a bunch of Molotov cocktail it's going to be that last Halloween for that son of a bitch or whatever burn the factory out yeah it's the last
Starting point is 01:12:56 Halloween for them you imagine looking at I mean saying I can't make a microchip. I can make a microchip like you can't believe. So this guy, I guess, is like kind of sleeping in a junkyard. We see him like walk into the little area there. He's got like wonder bread and a thing of fucking spray cheese that he eats as a sandwich. Sounds good to me.
Starting point is 01:13:19 No. I don't know. I don't know that I can do that. Cheese whiz sandwich? It's freedom though, right? I don't think it's freedom. Sleeping under the stars, dude. They're having a little drinky poo.
Starting point is 01:13:29 I love that. That part. I pay good money for that. I don't know if I've ever had spray cheese. Really? The only time I think I've ever really had it was whatever one of the times we were in Philly. Philly's cheese steak. It's literally better than.
Starting point is 01:13:43 Yeah. Yeah. And they put it up. Oh, yeah. I've never like sprayed it under a cracker or anything like that. I have had that. Cheese whippets. Not great.
Starting point is 01:13:52 No, no, I haven't had that either. I wasn't fan of either. But I do. I have not. yet to have a Philly Chief Steak proper. I want to. Really? I just haven't gone there yet.
Starting point is 01:14:02 We're going to have to go on a road trip then. There we go. I do love also, so he's left Tom Atkins at this point. He's wandering around by himself. He has somehow procured another bottle of liquor. Sure. Out of somewhere and he's just walking around. So he runs a foul of these dudes or whatever.
Starting point is 01:14:17 And this is, this is a wild scene. Yes. Because this is like, oh, hey, fellas. I was just joking or whatever. And then like, it's two Jollobots come up. They fucking shud. this guy down on his knees and staring at this robot's crotch and I'm like
Starting point is 01:14:32 what's happening? There's no other way to look at this scene other than it is he got to suck this robot's dick you can't you can't look at it any other way he's on his knees and like the other guy so there's two robots the one he's facing this guy's robo penis yes the other one comes up behind him like
Starting point is 01:14:48 touching his head like where do you think this is going and I was like oh my god yes you understand I equipped all the robots with penises yes of course that'd be a lot of work Wood, yeah. Building all those cranks for the robots? Yeah, I mean, I think that's too much work. I think a bump is going to be fine.
Starting point is 01:15:06 And they just, the one guy just rips this man's head off his body. Yeah. Real fatality shit. And I have to say, well done on the soundtrack here. There is a slurping noise. There is out of nowhere. And it's like, good. And I'm curious because it plays heavily.
Starting point is 01:15:25 It's in the trailer, so it's not a spoiler in Cat Miasma as well. A lot of head geyser stuff. And the headgeiser happens here as well. I'd like to ask a doctor. If I were to get decapitated head geyser or not so much. You need a little squirtle happen? There's a lot of blood in there. And if it's going fast enough so your head just gets cut right off, your heart is still pumping blood.
Starting point is 01:15:45 It's got to probably pumps, you know. Oh, yeah, a little geyser. So the Mythbusters don't need to be called. You ever like cut your arm and it starts bleeding? Yep. There's a lot of blood. That's just a little cut. Right?
Starting point is 01:15:56 It's going to be everywhere. It's going to be everywhere. I think it has something to do with what you ate that night. Okay. It's a coin flip on that one. A quick detour here. Anybody watching this Monsters of God documentary series? I am.
Starting point is 01:16:12 Oh, you bet you're the reptile. This is the reptoid thing. I'm not looking at reptiles in my free time. I also don't know if I could do the animal abuse stuff. There's no abuse. There's just, they're just, they're just. No one's putting a firecracker up one of these things. No, they're illegally
Starting point is 01:16:27 bringing animals into the country and selling them and making tons of money. That's not abusive? What do you think happens to them afterwards? I don't know,
Starting point is 01:16:36 but these are dudes that love fucking reptiles and are not letting anything and there's no animal abuse in this documentary at all. So it's a praising documentary. No, I just, it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 01:16:46 Go watch the fucking thing. The only thing I'm trying to say about it is there is one. Yeah, you're just asking questions. There's a fucking weirdo in that series. Chris,
Starting point is 01:16:55 you will know exactly exactly what you're talking about. He kind of looks like Buddy Kupfer actually. They're interviewing this guy about all his fucking snakes that he has this, that's the other thing. Various interview points, you can tell his shirts are changing this and that. This guy's forearms are
Starting point is 01:17:09 actively bleeding. Oh, God. During interviews. He's like, oh, and then, you know, we went over to Germany and we got all these guys and we put all these fucking turtles in a suitcase and whatever. And his arm is, he's got a snake bite and it's just bleeding on the table.
Starting point is 01:17:25 it's amazing and you don't have to watch any anal abuse stuff there's none of that it is a whacktacular documentary about some freaks it does help whenever you're pitching anything to eric tell him before everybody's a monster everybody's horrible don't worry about everybody's terrible don't worry about it if he was good to those snakes would be snake kisses i'm sure i'm sure that's just what have happened uh but anyway this the sight of a man great show i mean talking head interview while just actively bleeding very similar in tone to telemarketers. Yes. It's the telemarketers of 2020. Same, same guys. It's an really interesting
Starting point is 01:18:01 doc. Weirdos doing you know, stuff that gets them put in jail. They're not really sorry. That's the other thing. Almost everybody who's interviewed has either runs a jail or has been to jail. Yeah, just felons up and down the board. Anyway, big recommend for that. Speaking of this case in a snake,
Starting point is 01:18:17 here comes the sex scene. A trouser snake. And it's going on. Endangered species in my house. Oh, dude. It's a case. the dangerous one of excuse me not a lot of
Starting point is 01:18:30 I would hope he'll be of one penis I have so many questions now I'm trying to repopulate it I see while the so Ellie goes in the shower right as she has she's running this Marge Gutman
Starting point is 01:18:44 from San Francisco and she's like oh look at this the badge broke off my son's mask these guys screwed up my order all we always get screwed they was ever since Cochran started selling to all these big places, the little guys getting
Starting point is 01:18:56 fucked and whatever. I also feel like this Ellie's never taken a shower before because I'm confused. She's in the shower, steamy shower. It's a pre-sex shower. She knows what's about to happen. Exactly. She brought this lingerie. She's got to wear it. She gets out, no, it's not even for chalice's benefit. Who's not there? She grabs the tiniest
Starting point is 01:19:15 towel in the universe. Yes. Barely covers her vagina. Like really barely. Yeah. And then run, I guess it's cold in the room and then covers herself with the blanket? And I'm like, ew, that's a motel blanket. Also, you, ew, ew, thanks for ruining the blanket. Yeah, you know, it's wet.
Starting point is 01:19:30 You're just wet? Yeah, I mean. That's okay. After sex, Charles, I was like, why'd you get the blanket all? That was amazing. Wow, I really had you go in there. I mean, the sheets are soaked. Oh, that was before?
Starting point is 01:19:40 That's disgusting. Yeah. I just dry off in the bat. That's what the bathroom is for to dry off in. Yeah, no, I'm writing a paper. I invented squirting. Yeah, it's a medical paper. I invented the booty.
Starting point is 01:19:52 Recall and squirting. Can you get me? Just tell Sam the bartender. Tonight I had been to score out, Kinsey. Get me Kinsey online. I got one for him. I got him a nice one. Did you ever do it so good? It gets you?
Starting point is 01:20:06 You know what I mean? Look, we're talking doctor to doctor here, all right? I've been hitting the face like it's a fucking fire hydrant, all right? That's how good I am at it. What do you think about that, Kinsey? Yeah, you're one of your kids. You know, you got kids. Yeah, any of them have a super-soaker?
Starting point is 01:20:18 Imagine that, but from the, you know. You know the top-tier talent act? Gallagher who's touring the country right now. Because it is 1988. You know him? Yeah. You know the people in the front that wear those jackets, right? Because they don't want to get, they don't want to ruin their clothes. That's me going downtown. You understand? Medical poncho.
Starting point is 01:20:36 Yeah, it's a medical grade poncho. You see, you can fucking take anything. Withstanding anything. Now, that's the first thing. I want to start a brand of sex ponchos. And I think the kinsie name would be beautiful for the top of that. And the booty call, you understand, is you're going to call a woman and just only for sex. Not. Say, forget dinner.
Starting point is 01:20:54 We're not talking dinner. We're not talking a movie. We are just calling you to go to your house for sex at like 11-14. Oh, by the way, it's 1982, so I'm not sure how much this is proliferated, but booty, you see. It does mean ass. And I don't want you to think it's only ass stuff if you do a booty call. You do whatever you want a booty call. It's just how they named it, you see.
Starting point is 01:21:12 It's not that ass is off the table. It's on the table with a bunch of other things to enjoy. Casual sex. I never heard of that. Casual sex are calling it. And then we just cut to Marge Gutman who was like, you know, just, and you know, she's, she's annoyed. She has to come back.
Starting point is 01:21:28 They fucked up the order again. Right. We'll talk about this later. It's October 29th. You've sold most of the masks you're going to sell. Exactly. What are you bringing back to San Francisco here at this point? But she is reading a book.
Starting point is 01:21:41 A romance. You can tell just by that five. What's going on there? A little Marge after dark. Kind of Kinsey-esque. She's like, you know what? I'd rather do instead of like just listen and relax and go. to bed. I'm going to start fucking with this
Starting point is 01:21:54 computer chip. Just picking out of it or whatever. She got a bobby pin. And it is amazing because like while she's doing this Dr. Chalice gets back to the motel and she fucking drops the towel and this is like she's got the lingerie and you're like oh well this was this was predetermined.
Starting point is 01:22:13 You've planned this out. If you packed this to go on again, may I remind everybody in the room and at home the investigation to find out what happened with your father's murder. Which had like seven days ago. Meanwhile, Marge's in there picking at this thing with a little
Starting point is 01:22:28 pin waiting for death to come for her. And she hears from the other thing, sweet baby mama. This is how you go out of this world. Is hearing the fucking four more days till Halloween and get electrocuted in the face. And you're hearing this. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:46 The most dry slaps you've ever heard in your life. They do a classy move here with this. Well, it's not that classic because we have. the fucking eerie tit sucking that was going on. But to avoid any thrusting that you would have to film or whatever,
Starting point is 01:23:01 they just cut to the outside of the motel and you're just looking at this exterior for like a good 10 seconds or so. The movie's letting you know what is happening. But that's how long he lasted. And then they're laying in bed post-coitus and she's a young lady on the head. She's ready
Starting point is 01:23:16 from round two. This old fuck is like, Jesus Christ. Yeah, you share about that because my dick is broken as fine. What are you doing later this week? He takes out of stethoscope, tests his own heart, tests his dicks are. All right, Ellie, I checked all my vitals twice. It's fine. Let's go again.
Starting point is 01:23:35 Little Dan's heartbeats is a little fast, but he's going. I'm looking at a Thursday situation here. That's what I'm going to be back. We're going to be in dry dock for a day. Dry Dock for a day. Now, mind you, this is the second. time in a week, so it might not last as long as I did the first time. We might be
Starting point is 01:23:56 looking at a three-minute affair. You don't know. You're a young lady. You don't understand. Now it's time for Carson. Carson and quiet. We were quiet and we watch Carson. Alan, Alan, shut up. Carson's on. Where's my cigarettes? You got any cigarettes? I need a cigarette. Yeah, real
Starting point is 01:24:13 lack of smoking here, which after he bangs Jamie Lee in the fog, he's got a butt-lit of crazy. You're in the rose of Shannon Motel. You're just got fucking strange from a 23-year-old girl. You should smoke a cigarette. When she wants to go again, he's got something about like, oh, geez,
Starting point is 01:24:29 you know, young, whatever. And she responds with, I'm older than I look. Yes. Which doesn't make anything better. Oh, no, he says how old are you? After instigating sex, by the way. How old are you anyway? And then the, I'm older than I look. And also
Starting point is 01:24:44 I need a firm answer. Tell me you're 23. I got a firm answer. Well, if she says, if the response is, I'm older than I look. You then, as Dr. Chalice, have to say, well, I believe you look at least 23 years old. Is that accurate? You're definitely older than 18. That's what I, I assume. You're old enough to rent that car, I'm hoping. But he acquiesces. It's okay. There's a Beatles song about this. It's all right. Pop cultures paved over this for you. He acquiesce. He's like, all right, I'll give him my bad shot. No promises, sweet, or whatever. This woman in the other room, Marge, blasts herself in the face and screams. They hear it.
Starting point is 01:25:28 Ellie goes, what's that? Tom Adkins. Oh, who cares? Perhaps the greatest who cares ever in cinema. It has to be at least in the top ten. I think I saw this maybe last year at the Roxy. They showed the Roxy Cinema in New York. It brought the house down.
Starting point is 01:25:44 Who cares? There's no way you're not going to. It's a fucking, it's a knee slapper. And you are seeing, by the way, after the who cares. what has happened to Marge and her fish she's looking like a fucking deadite at this point and this hornet like crawls out of her fucking mouth
Starting point is 01:26:01 it's real as if they ripped the mouth apart like there's a tearing element to the way that the makeup looks and it really does help you when just seeing the kids in the mask later like oh that's what's going on oh okay that's pretty good it's pretty it's really gruesome super super gruesome
Starting point is 01:26:19 it's like straight out like it's like Italian horror honestly like it looks like something like demons or something. Yeah. But so then they wake up in the middle of the night to the Cochran goons are coming to the motel to get this woman's dead body out. Goons, robot goons. I'm a doctor.
Starting point is 01:26:38 Where are you taking her? Oh, the factory. There's a marvelous facility that Colonel Cochran has there. Give you the, she'll get the best treatment. What the hell happened? Miss fire, sir. Oh, yeah. Yeah, oh, a misfire.
Starting point is 01:26:53 That's a great thing to hear. Happens all the time. But if you're Tom Atkins, if you're Dan Chalice and Ellie Grimbridge here, leave the door closed. Just peep through the window. You know, you're suspicious of all these people.
Starting point is 01:27:07 Don't just go out there like, hey, what's going on? I'm a doctor who's here, you know? Also, I mean, like, you're selling this to kids, you know, weeks before Halloween.
Starting point is 01:27:16 There's probably been a few fucking misfires. I mean, little kids fucking with these. That's true. easy to get a misfire, just a bobby pin? I probably would have misfired this thing. I'm a little creep, of course. I was the fuck with shit. You're a picker. I'm a picker. I'm just realizing like they pose is like, oh yeah, we're buying,
Starting point is 01:27:31 we're picking up those orders. I'm a doctor that runs a Halloween store. It's more my wife's gig here. You see, I think it's pretty stupid, what with being a doctor. I know, it's weird being a doctor and also having a pharmacy with candy and the
Starting point is 01:27:48 masks in there. I get it. Don't get me wrong. But so to this emergency scene Comes the great Dan O'Hurleyhee himself We all know him as the old man From the first two Robocop pictures A great Dan O'Hurleyley movie The failsafe from Sydney Lumet's failsafe
Starting point is 01:28:04 Oh I've never seen it actually It's great It's basically Sydney Lumet doing Strange Love but straight You know what I mean? Yes But in Dan O'Hurleyes It's a great, great character for him
Starting point is 01:28:14 Like really young That's awesome I do love though They say like oh yeah she's going to be taken She's going to get the best treatment or whatever the blanket is over this which you only do for the dead.
Starting point is 01:28:26 Oh no, she's breathing comfortably under that blanket. Are those hornets? Funny, all I hear is eerie silence. I guess because it's a misfire, it's just the one hornet
Starting point is 01:28:39 that gets birthed from the blaser name. Sure, isn't the full show. That's a snake with the thing. That is just a huge rattlesnake at the end of that. It's so great. Which the dudes on, monsters of God would love. They would love. They might have. They supplied it. They might have
Starting point is 01:28:53 supplied it. That's true. One of the dudes supplied the snakes for Jake the Snake Roberts. The WWF. The stars. So she's like, listen, I'm not leaving until we find out if my dad went to that factory. So well, might as well go back and have sex for a third time. Why not?
Starting point is 01:29:09 So here we go. Saturday the 30th. Well, we get to Atkins's calling Teddy, the coroner. He's called once before and she's had some line about like, oh, somebody messed up the autopsy possibly. We got all these like machine parts in with the body. And he's trying to just still get info on the dude who emulated who he doesn't know yet as a robot. Teddy, I'm on my fifth kovacier. What we're doing with the body? And Teddy is like, look, even if it was like full on
Starting point is 01:29:36 incineration, there'd be some like bones or teeth left around. There's absolutely nothing here that indicates a body was ever there. So I'm totally, I think somebody screwed up. And he's like, okay, that's great. Teddy, you as a mortician or whatever you, I need you to also do some investigation into Conall Cochran. Could you do that for me as a mortician? And she spells the name C-O-N-A-L. Perfectly. First try.
Starting point is 01:30:02 It was taking me all afternoon. Yeah, Teddy, I just, I called again. The internet's not coming for another 20-some-odd years. Could you do some research for me? Go to the library? I don't have time to go to the library today. And then this is when he's like, oh, if you do this for me, I'll buy you dinner and she makes some line about him like, oh, you
Starting point is 01:30:20 sound really excited for that or whatever. And he's like, I'm always ready for dinner with you, Teddy. And I just could picture, this is like cheap James Bond. Like she's cheap money penny and he's cheap James Bond. Oh, no, Dr. Chalice, you always ask me for all these favors. When are we going to run off together? Chalice.
Starting point is 01:30:38 Dr. Chalice. No, they know me about that Cracker Barrow. They know me down there. Yeah, Dr. Chalice, I'll have the one by the window, honey. Man, they know me at the Cracker Barrel. Yikes. Would you like a drink? Would you like a drink, Dr. Chalice?
Starting point is 01:30:52 Yes. Miller Highlife, dent it. It's cheaper that way. When the cans dented, it's a little cheap. In a chalice, perhaps. Yes, room temperature only, though. Danny, I'll have my normal, a whole plate of fried okra. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:31:07 Little detail here that's, it's a cool reveal. I love it. Like, he's on the phone. Atkins is calling from somewhere that's not the motif. I don't think. Maybe it's the office of the motel? Because he hangs up the phone and he's like, yeah, look into Cochran. It's fucking sucks up here. You got to look into it for me, Mortician. The camera just does a quick like just moves down a little bit and you can see the desk is bugged.
Starting point is 01:31:32 So like it's kind of cool because we go into the big factory tour scene and we the audience know that Cochran is definitely onto them now. Oh yeah. Because they just heard his big loud drunken conversation. I love that there's like a missing order or whatever and then Conall Cochran comes in. the whole thing's on me. I just, and he gets a big applause. Dan O'Hurtle, he apparently
Starting point is 01:31:54 wasn't super, he's like, I loved my performance but I wasn't crazy about the movie, which I understand. But he's having a fucking ball of this. He was happy to use his like cork accent. They're definitely banging guys. You think it's a father-daughter. No, no, no. They're fucking, ladies and gentlemen.
Starting point is 01:32:10 Oh, did you hear that cupfers? There might be some prey for you. Yes. Oh, wow. Mr. Conall Cockman knows all about you and your weird predilection. Swinging cupfers. you are. He's old enough to have delivered her. Twice over it. Apparently that's the man that invented squirting. Yes, I read
Starting point is 01:32:26 it on it. Hello, legend. Would you like a tour on by toy factory? No, yes, we call you Dan Legend Chalice around here. You could show me some pointers. For you only, you get to live. Everyone else in America, you will die. The cuffers are like so
Starting point is 01:32:44 excited for this tour. Like, he comes in and he's like, we're here to see Mr. Cochran. He's so proud of this whole thing. And I guess like, what is the deal? He was like a top seller in the region for his bullshit or whatever. Number one. My understanding
Starting point is 01:33:00 is Conall Cochran is only doing this to test it. You know what to test? Yes. But played a little fast and loose here, man. This just happened to tomorrow. The test has to happen before Labor Day, everybody. I agree. Just in case there's any little, you know,
Starting point is 01:33:16 we got to do some adjustments here there? This is the thing. I think this has come up before and there was a number two around who got the Darth Vader treatment and got fucking choked out by Cochran and was like, you're going to tell me what to do? Are you sure you want to do that? I think there's a line that he says it's like a demonstration or something, which is also like, oh, you know, it's all through the, all through the TV, we can't really see it. I kind of want to see it myself a little right, oh right. We get, you know, it's a fun little tour. It's kind of funny because it's just like, it's just latex.
Starting point is 01:33:49 I don't know. It's not a really fun. Just latex and mold. The shit boy wants one of these masks immediately and he's like, oh no, that hasn't gone through final processing yet. The evil hasn't been installed. Yeah, exactly. Does that you want a little piece of Stonehenge?
Starting point is 01:34:04 We need some evil injected into this mask first, you see. Atkins or chalice. Again, not the strongest improviser in the world. It's like, oh, hey, Could my friends come on the tour with us, Conall Cochran? Sure. What's your name, friend? Mr. and Mrs. Smith. And this dude is like,
Starting point is 01:34:26 oh, yes, Smith, sure. Yes, nice to meet you. Mr. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. a married couple. I said, I thought it was pretty cool watching these molds get poured and stuff. Yeah, I mean. But, yeah, like, Kupfer is the biggest fan of this guy. guy we go into like what was really giving off some Ed and Lorraine Warren museum vibes. Sure. This like, you know, Connell Cochran's achievements through the ages room or whatever.
Starting point is 01:34:58 And like, Cupfer's like, oh yeah, he just started out as this. He worked this right. He's like, this dude knows everything about this toy maker very weird. Yeah. And his wife is like, oh, you know, he was, he made his millions doing novelties. You know, one can dream kind of a thing. This guy wants to be the next. He wants to be the next Connallon Cochran.
Starting point is 01:35:14 Without killing children. As my, it's my understanding about Buddy Cockrens. You haven't read the book about Cochran? Very Practical Joker? Has a foreword by the impractical joker. Man, do you see one of these Conall Cochran inventions that he had, though, this music box where it's like all these like very fucking stereotypical like cartoonish Native Americans? Yes, yes. Goof.
Starting point is 01:35:39 I don't think you need that one in the museum, buddy. That's one of those things that like they won't have on the Antiques Road Show anymore. Right. Too many phone calls. That deserves to be in Steve Bouchon, me and Ghost World's apartment. Nowhere else. That's where it should stay. Right next to the fucking Ku Klux Klam action figure.
Starting point is 01:35:56 That indeed. But they want to see final processing, but no, you'll come back tomorrow. We'll do breakfast and I'll show you everything you need to know. Like, trade secrets. Oh, trade secrets. And get breakfast with this guy. Oh, Lord Almighty.
Starting point is 01:36:10 Dip that Fetto in our evil cauldron. And this is when a garage open. and Ellie sees her dad's car. You cannot run towards this car like she does. No, you can't. Like, dude, they, both of these characters are constantly forgetting that they are undercover in this movie.
Starting point is 01:36:25 And it's like, did you clock the plates? Like, I mean, that's a common shit car for the era. I also like the idea, like, what is Connockwood doing? Well, I could sell it for like 800. It's not a great car, but I mean, it'd be wasted.
Starting point is 01:36:38 It's a nice enough. It's like, uh, nothing but trouble. Vulcanvaney is all these cars everywhere. All of the property. That's why it's a better idea. If like imagine those doors open and she's like, is that my fucking father in there? Oh, yes. And you see that like the dad bot walker instead of dad's car.
Starting point is 01:36:54 Better idea for sure. They got dad like stacking boxes. Yeah, is my father working for you? Yeah, because that is a loose thread that I'm not super like the L.E stuff as a robot at the end is cool, but it's not enough. And it's just, yeah, I agree. And they kind of lean on it too much as a big ending. Whereas if you had more of it throughout the movie, it would work better.
Starting point is 01:37:12 But I guess they would have thought it was like a big surprise. Yeah, sure. kind of was. I do like it actually because I only, only this time going through yesterday did I notice like, oh yeah, she doesn't say a fucking thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I never noticed that, you know, that that was a part of it. And it's such a big, like, she's with him as a robot for a really long time.
Starting point is 01:37:30 A very long time. It's great. But that's why I would like to have the show me the ending up, the different cities going through it. It's because the ending feels kind of like, it's cool that it ends like that, but kind of it's just like ending. Right. It doesn't build up in any real cool way. The cat and mouse at the end goes on a little long. There's a lot of Tom Hackens just running around by himself. Would be very
Starting point is 01:37:51 funny if she does this, she sees the car and starts running towards and he gets back, act like you've been here before. Act like you've been at the evil toy company before. Come on now. You fucking blew it. God damn it. This is the great, we go back to the motel. He's got the great line, I think it's time for the Marines. Do you have the Marines number?
Starting point is 01:38:14 Yeah, exactly. 1,900 Marine. The special Marines or just the normal Marines? Hello, Marine. There's a toy factory that seems weird. We're on it. We got nothing better to do it. So I like, he tries to,
Starting point is 01:38:30 Chalice tries to call out for help from the office of the motel. We got Jamie Lee coming on doing this voice cameo as the, I'm sorry, the number you're calling, blah, blah, blah, which is pretty cool. He comes back. Ellie's gone from the hotel That's the big thing And he looks
Starting point is 01:38:48 This is one of the best shots In the movie And actually because of the soundtrack It winds up giving you a scare Where if it wasn't for the The whews Like whatever the noise is You probably wouldn't be as frightened
Starting point is 01:39:00 But they just cut to this row of murder bots In the parking lot of the motel Staring at the dude's door And it's whews It's almost like the Texas chains off To touch, yeah It's a synthier version Yeah, big time.
Starting point is 01:39:14 Closes the door. These dudes are just breaking right through. It's pretty great. Oh, it's so awesome. Dude, Atkins getting out of his fucking back window or whatever he's doing. I feel like that's like, it was only so. Tom, that's fine. Don't try to go through any further.
Starting point is 01:39:26 We'll just get you coming out the other end. He runs around. He goes into the factory, kind of like, this is when he sees the old robot lady. Oh, my God. Yes. And it's apparently from Germany. This is interesting. Munich 1785.
Starting point is 01:39:40 Yeah. That's Bavaria. and that year is one of the years apparently that the Catholic Church condemned the Illuminati. Okay. So maybe are we getting that maybe in play. Oh, that's kind of cool. But it's definitely on the Illuminati for sure. Sure, yeah.
Starting point is 01:39:55 This whole, this first part where he's slinking around and basically walking until he finds the German robot thing. There is the score. It just sounds like a smoke alarm is going off. Yeah. It is just doing this. for like way longer than you'd expect it to and somehow. That's a German grandmother. It just, it works though. That's the surprising thing about this
Starting point is 01:40:20 score is like if you didn't have it with the movie like you know and you didn't know it was a film score. If you just heard the eh-uh-uh-uh, you'd be like someone was fucking smoking in a hotel room and now this noise is happening. I also love the idea that he's in the Illuminati because it's like one guy. Ah, oil concern. Ah, I run all the trucks. I do this. Right. I'm the joke guy. Hi. I'm The joke guy in the Illuminati? Novelties, party tricks.
Starting point is 01:40:43 Yes, if you'd like some rubber vomit or all the kids in the country to be killed, I'm your guy. Believe me, I'm evil, I promise. But it is a fun kind of evil. Oh, yes, exploding cigar, very evil. Should ever shake the hand of a man holding a hand buzzer? Evil as hell. That big organ shaped like a bat in Roberts house, that's me.
Starting point is 01:41:01 X-ray glasses, they don't work, but think about it. No, stop calling me chuckles. I don't appreciate the nickname of Chuckles. What I do love, about Tom Atkins or Dan Chalice's instinct here with this old lady robot because he thinks it's a woman
Starting point is 01:41:17 sitting in a chair, knitting or whatever. His first instinct is to shake the shit out of this old lady. Of course, because it's a robot, the little head falls off, which is very funny. That's the Chalice way.
Starting point is 01:41:29 Just shaking, like not excuse me, ma'am, have you just, just, for he's a fucking, la-da-da-da-da-da-da. That's how he's shaking. We're trying to wake up a kid, too. You just shake them real hard. He gets in a fight with a murder bot,
Starting point is 01:41:40 and then this is the awesome, like, he accidentally puts his hands inside the thing, and he pulls out and he's got all fucking, you know, it's like, it's like Nickelodeon Gack colored to the shade of the wall in backrooms, if that makes sense, like that's the yellow we're going for. And the fact that this stuff existed since the 1700s, steampunk confirmed. Yeah, absolutely. Steam punk totally confirmed.
Starting point is 01:42:03 You're right. While West was happening, a few years, you know, 100 years prior in Santa Mira. Yeah. You're right, this is kind of a steam punk idea for robots. It's all like gear-based. Yeah, I mean, like not... They're all just, they got watch innards. Yeah, there's nothing digital about it.
Starting point is 01:42:18 Yeah, exactly. And then he, like, this is when Conall Conall Conall Conn reveals himself. And he's like, oh, yes, 700, blah, blah, blah, blah. Well, I'm gonna... I'm gonna nod off for about eight hours. We'll put you in a cell, Ellie's taken care of... We're just gonna take a recess on the movie for a moment. A big day tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:42:35 Yeah, he's like, oh, Halloween morning would be busy. Being a medical man, you should find this. interesting, which is so good. Now all you robots, make sure you get your protein shakes. We want all those gears lubricated for when we get ready for this big killing we're going to do. So boom,
Starting point is 01:42:52 Sunday the 31st, Halloween. By the way, Halloween on a Sunday, that rocks because you can spend the weekend partying in various Halloween ways, you know. Also, it should be on God's day. It just should. It should be there. This is where he's
Starting point is 01:43:08 he really glosses over like how these things are made he's like you know it's kind of really just like another form of mask making when you think about it I was like is it I'm thinking about it no it's not I'm thinking about it yeah you're full of shit and then he's no it is
Starting point is 01:43:26 it is and it's like oh look at my big old fucking stonehenge rock that's like 18 tons or whatever you'll we had a hell of a time getting it over here I believe you yeah I would like to know a little bit more than that Where's the fucking last voyage of the Demeter, fucking prequel movie about that? Northeast would be easier to get that thing across the Atlantic.
Starting point is 01:43:45 But now you've got to take it across the Atlantic and then drive it across the entire country. Right. I just have this image of him with like a piece of the stone. Just like one of those like the Parmesan things. They do a cheese grill. It just does it over every mask. More? Okay.
Starting point is 01:44:02 You tell me when to stop. Is that evil enough you think? Okay. A little bit more. Oh, my God. And yeah, I mean, I do appreciate that we really don't try to get into how this works because it's a big stonehenge stone and there's like tubes attached to it. I'm like, whatever.
Starting point is 01:44:18 A guy is shizzling up to the last minute. It's all connected to the TVs and the TV commercials will kill you. It's weird. Yeah. The technology connection, I wish, was a little more fleshed out. Oh, so we see chalice is tied to a chair. Ellie is tied down on a table sort of a deal and then we get to
Starting point is 01:44:41 Oh, and then we do see Marge Whatever dead in the Just the sheet pulled over or whatever But then this is the cup first go into the staging area This is the big cup first scene Test Room A And do this father's fucking blind allegiance To this corporate overlord is what gets his entire family
Starting point is 01:45:01 Including himself killed right here Yep I mean that's there's a lot of anti-capitalist stuff in this You know what I mean? Or capitalist skeptical kind of stuff. You know what I mean? Yeah, I wouldn't say outright. No, no, anti.
Starting point is 01:45:13 Agnostic. Yes. Keep your eyes open. You know what I mean? They couldn't really give us some real fruit here. I'm going to be hungry this whole time. That is hilarious. The wife is just like, oh, this wax fruit.
Starting point is 01:45:24 She's just like laughing at everything. And I do love, like, when Cochran's had enough of watching these pegs over the security camera, he just goes, oh, roll it. Like he's some studio executive watching Dailies or something. this killer commercial I have. And man, the little kid puts on the mask and he's watching the commercial go. And this woman's like laughing and saying how stupid everything is. And then like this little boy's head just collapses into a bunch of crickets and snakes.
Starting point is 01:45:53 And it's most of it is like, you know, off screen. But you watch this kid hold on for dear life for a couple of seconds. You don't hear him. But he's grasping his head like it really hurts. And like the mask is turning good. goopy here too. It's a very cool effect. And I guess the snakes just kill the parents. That is the idea.
Starting point is 01:46:12 The masks will kill the children and the snakes are doing a lot of busy work. So in the monsters of Godhouse this would not work. The kid would die. Well, yeah. There's a dude though that you meet at one point. This guy surprising no one, not really great around people, almost lives
Starting point is 01:46:28 exclusively in a room filled with nothing but venomous snakes. And at one point the guy is like, hey, so with all these snakes that you like sleep around every night in here. Like with all the venom in them like how bad would that be? And the guy goes, he thinks about it for a really long time. And he's like, well, probably, uh, take out half the state of Florida.
Starting point is 01:46:49 Hell yeah. Oh my God. Yeah. I'm not saying do it, but. Just giving you a statistic. I mean, leave the back door open. Give me you some numbers here. I think the wife like faints and I don't know if that's supposed to be like a heart. That's a hard attack, I think, because you don't see her get bit.
Starting point is 01:47:04 You only see the father get bit by the ratler. Yeah. This guy just getting bit by these snakes are screaming and falling over. Then there are snakes on top of further. The bugs and snakes, it's just, it's a really, the mask will kill the kid, but then the bugs and the snakes you understand. Yes. Pardon me? Remember to lock your doors.
Starting point is 01:47:22 Trap them inside. Trap them inside. And then so this is where we get a cool montage. It's a very funny montage also of just like kids trick or treating in America. Yeah. And so you've got Dayton, Ohio, New York, New York, Omaha, Baton Rouge, Lodagh. Angeles Seattle, Phoenix. Only one of those is legitimate Los Angeles because every single clip is just different California
Starting point is 01:47:43 footage. Absolutely. Yeah. Like the part where they're like, it's Baton Rouge. It is fucking batten down the hatches, Los Angeles. Definitely not Baner Rouge. It's so funny. I think my favorite shot of the movie is the kids in like the sunset.
Starting point is 01:47:56 Yes, that's a really. It's like nuclear orange. Like the seventh seal. They're marching up the hill. Which they very smartly used for some of the poster art and stuff over the years. depending on which like random, you know, standard deaf DVD you had of this movie or whatever. I think I'm now, once this 4K comes, it will be the third format that I'm over. Excellent.
Starting point is 01:48:17 You know, you got to do it. Burbank, California, Los Angeles, California. Halejo, California, San Francisco, California. Also, I mean, that would kind of make some sort of sense. Also, Cochran has this army of vans that are driving around. Like, the Blues Brothers trying to get people to come to the concert. Like, everybody remember after the movie tonight, get home for the big drawing. I do think, yeah, it's a little too big, Chris.
Starting point is 01:48:43 Maybe if it was just California, be kind of cooler. You know what I mean? And I've always hated California, watching all those obnoxious movies as a child. All those surfers think they're so cool. You know who came out of California, don't you? Reagan. One of these days, God is going to shake this great land and put all of California in the ocean, finally. And finally we'll all be done
Starting point is 01:49:05 And I will have done nothing wrong This is where Teddy calls the motel And numbers not working And so she calls somebody else About these remains And I got a real problem with this Because like You don't know who she's talking to
Starting point is 01:49:21 You see Jollobot show up there So you know like what's going on The shot is as follows Teddy is looking back down She makes the phone call She's looking back down at the tray and all the gears and the burnt whatever. Nothing is different from the last time we saw this thing.
Starting point is 01:49:37 It's the exact same shot probably. She just goes, oh my God. And then the murder bot gets her. What are you, oh my Godding? What was the revelation? Maybe she finally put together. You know what I mean? You look at the same equation for a day and a half.
Starting point is 01:49:54 You're like, oh, okay. She has to say something. Just this, oh, my God, looking at the same tray you looked at 40 times. And then sure enough, drill to the head driller killer. Right in the fucking earhole, dude. After she says, can you get me the sheriff please? Yes. So she, yeah, she's clearly figured something out that she's calling the police over this.
Starting point is 01:50:15 Yes. All right? Well, she's dead anyway. So it doesn't. We lock up Mr. Chelle. This is one of the best scenes in the movie. This is the parlor scene basically. You know, why, you know?
Starting point is 01:50:29 I do love a good joke. And this is the best joke ever. A joke on the children. I'm like, this dude kind of rules. And it's all you never thought about the, the festival of Halloween other than your children begging for candy. The way it's begging for candy.
Starting point is 01:50:44 Yeah. This whole monologue is just fantastic. Right. The barriers are down during Halloween and the hills ran red with the blood of animals and children. Sacrifice as part of our world, our craft. Witchcraft. Yeah. Oh, well, it's, yeah, it's witchcraft. No, no, no, but which craft are you
Starting point is 01:51:00 like tablemaking? Yeah, yeah, witchcraft are you talking about it? Well, you know, it's like the mask with the witch. Oh, I see. Now I get it. The mask with the witch. I see. Yes, you should have understood when I made the mask with the witch on it.
Starting point is 01:51:18 That's me, actually. I do love that he's leaving chalice to his demise of because he puts a mask on him and he's like, you're going to watch it or whatever. Just gives him a good happy Halloween closing the door while Halloween 70. plays. And someone somewhere was like, you know, in that Halloween 2 and Donald Pleasance is saying Sam Hain over and over again? What have we got an Irish guy to say it right? What have we got an Irish guy to just finally say it? It's so funny. I do love him. He's so shuffling across the floor in this chair smashes the TV and I'd be like, I don't know, man. This whole thing relies on like, it's all built
Starting point is 01:51:55 around the end of Halloween 78 on the TV broadcast. Leave it on. So you have like some sense. of like the time that's left. Sure. Unless he hasn't seen the movie and then it doesn't really matter either way. Because you do get the hilarious. We'd be getting all these dates and everything. You do just get for this scene, 7.30 p.m. It may be nice to have background noise just in general. Just to have it on, just to have it on. Exactly. It's a good score too.
Starting point is 01:52:19 This mask toss onto the camera still is one of the all-timers. And it's a cool like little Michael Myers reference. You know, you see like the when you see the camera. Yes. Through the mask, it's very, you know. You're looking at something through. the eye holes. Yeah, P-OV.
Starting point is 01:52:33 And this is what he's just running. This is what he starts running around, which is, he does a little dieharding here. Like, he gets out through some vents and like the robots know what's up. God, those vents are big enough. Those are enormous. And also, big old Tom Atkins through him. Can support your body. It'd be funny.
Starting point is 01:52:49 He's falling through every room. He keeps crawling back up and falling through the next room. Oh, man. So, yeah, he gets into the warehouse. Slinking around, this is where I noticed, though, he's definitely just been wearing the same clothes since the start of the movie. It's been over a week. This dude's got to be right. I love that one line earlier where it's like, I think these clothes could hold out another day. Yeah. Hold out. Not your fucking ball, your post-sex ball sweat is running around in there.
Starting point is 01:53:16 Yeah, no way. He does call Linda. Yeah. He does Linda, Linda, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up. But it's, are you drunk again? Yes, but this is when you need to put it together and just be like, because he's just like, the children, the Conall Cochran, they'll be like, you need to get the masks out of the house.
Starting point is 01:53:35 Like, just soberly, you're sober, get the masks out of the house. The kids are in danger from the masks. Exactly. You swat your own house.
Starting point is 01:53:43 All the police. So there's a man with a gun in there. Because she's keeping those masks. The children, the mask, the Colo Cochran, Irish. Because also like, robots.
Starting point is 01:53:55 Not for nothing. You lied and said you were going to a doctor conference. Precisely. Sure. She doesn't know who Conall Cochran is. She doesn't know who fucking buddy Cufferin and his family are. I mean, you just have to be like, you have to believe me, the masks
Starting point is 01:54:07 will harm our children, get the masks out of the house. This is just because you don't like Grant coming around the kids. I get it. Honestly, the wife maybe needs to learn a lesson through, you know, example. So maybe just let the kids put on the damn mess. Okay, yeah. Listen to my drunk ex-husband. Now my
Starting point is 01:54:22 kids are dead. Yeah, from behind jail bars. I got you. Yeah, look who was right for one. He runs, he finds Ellie, he frees her. And it is funny, I was looking at, she is kind of running like a robot. It's very stiff. It's kind of, it's kind of funny.
Starting point is 01:54:43 The major L.O.L, though, they're trying to sneak into the big control room. They've got the rack of masks on the wheels. And they just motor by like it's Scooby-Doo. But you're right, this is a little James Bondi. You know what I mean? He's in the facility, you know? Might as well be built into the fucking, you know, mouth of a volcano. Precisely.
Starting point is 01:55:01 I mean, Cochran did do the whole like, since you're going to die anyway, here's the plan. Yeah. This is just... That's chalice. Uh, dance. He is holding down vomit at all times. You're right.
Starting point is 01:55:15 This is the cool sequence when he just dumps all those fucking chips on all these dudes. Yeah, he finds the box of the buttons or whatever. And I like this. I like all the animation of the power or electricity or whatever. It is just fucking murk and all these. Are the science? Scientists robots? I think so.
Starting point is 01:55:32 Okay. I think that's why the medallion maybe fucks with them. Yeah. Because they just fall down. They don't turn to bugs. You're right. Yeah, they just sort of fall over.
Starting point is 01:55:40 I think some of them might be human just because evil. Scientists are just evil in general. Of course. Yeah. I mean, I would never listen to one. I guess the question, though,
Starting point is 01:55:47 is like how many of them are possibly talking to Connell Cockney or not? One person is like, oh, sir, he got out or whatever. Yes. There is at least one guy. I was surprised that all this,
Starting point is 01:55:56 I mean, like, it's clear just to have this reveal happen. But you do this dump but none of these things is hitting the girlfriend at all. Right. Yeah. That's a little. Whatever.
Starting point is 01:56:05 Well, it buzzes all these guys. The TVs go into like this circular energy ray. And it connects to Stonehen. Correct. You get Cochran doing the. Yes, dude. I have been bested by a loser. I guess I'm going to be sent in to Irish heaven or hell.
Starting point is 01:56:21 Dependix. He turns into a Muppet or something. Yeah. It's an interesting thing. I think it's supposed to be like. Is this an Irish thing? I don't believe. I don't know for sure.
Starting point is 01:56:30 I think he's supposed to be the material that Stonehenters. He's supposed to turn to Stone. Yeah. And then he disappears. Then he just vanishes. Yeah. It's very, it's a real like,
Starting point is 01:56:39 nobody asks any questions. The movie's almost over. Exactly. But I think we're both right. It's, he turns to Stone, but to Eric's point, the thing that they crafted to make Dan O'Hurley
Starting point is 01:56:50 look like Stone does look like a Muppet. It looks like if you're a Muppet-Buppet. Yeah, Staller and Ward. Waldorf. There you go. I'll take two. But yeah, so he's he's fucking gone, just vanishes, which is really great.
Starting point is 01:57:05 They run away with the factory. Love this composite shot with the fake fire and the factory burning down, which is really great. I love that. And then, yeah, this is they're just driving and he's talking a blue streak and he realizes like she's not saying anything. Like, Ellie, what's going on? And this woman, robot woman grabs the wheel,
Starting point is 01:57:23 drives them off the road. It's fucking awesome. And it's a robot fight. There's one too many like, and now the arm's going to get him and now the other arm's going to get him. Right. Yes. He uses the tire iron or whatever to knock her arm off and then her head. And then yes, like later on, it's like, what is the, it's another arm attacking him or whatever. I do like, there's the cool shot of you've got Stacey Nelkin like buried up to her neck. So you've got her actual head and then like just someone else's actual body laying like face down and
Starting point is 01:57:52 supposed to be her like separated or whatever. She's really cool stuff with that too. Yeah. Because it's just it's her. She can't just like sort of look around. The fucking arm stuff though, this is 1982. Real Evil Dead 2 vives. Yeah, that was still a few years off. But yeah, just chalice fighting with this thing is very funny. Just getting strangled by it, whatever.
Starting point is 01:58:17 But then he just kind of like stumps on the arm. And then the body comes back and you're like, oh, right. We've kind of done it all. Like, you know what I mean? The movie does, I mean, rightfully so blows its wad with the buddy death. You know what I mean? Blowing a wide, that's a good idea. Maybe I'll have sex with this decapitated robot.
Starting point is 01:58:34 I mean, I think it blew its load with everything that happened at the factory. And I kind of think you need to end it at the factory. That's a good idea. Exactly what Eric said. If you're going to do it, do it there. I get your point about ending at the factory. I do kind of like that we're back to the same gas station. It's cool.
Starting point is 01:58:50 I'm just the same guy. Just like, God damn it. And there just so happens to be a bunch of kids that need to watch this. But also how far is this gas station from this hospital? he's working at he did he run I think that's a very clear don't don't you worry about that but the other question though
Starting point is 01:59:07 Steve you mentioned the kids are watching the TV this is a gas station just on a lonely dark dirt road like where are these those are my little rascals they hang out in the garbage patch right there it's the junkyard kids I guess they were because they come out of a car maybe it's like mom
Starting point is 01:59:22 the fucking the raffle is happening now like Jesus Christ these kids are this goddamn raffle I didn't see I didn't see the car. That like, you know, your parents will drive you to the rich neighborhood. Yeah, that's true. You got to drive where the good candy is, dude. Yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 01:59:37 But yeah, so he, this is where he calls the president of television advertising. He's like, you got to turn it off the three channels here. He gets two. The third one doesn't go off. And I just love that this movie ends with the stars screaming into the camera. Turn it off. Stop it. Turn it off for God sake, please stop it.
Starting point is 01:59:53 Stop it. Oh, it's so good. It's very good. just ending with yelling like that. You know what I mean? There's no fucking November 1st for six months later. Nothing like that.
Starting point is 02:00:06 And it's a grim ending, man. It is a cool, like, if you don't have a killer you can shoot six times off a balcony and then he gets up and walks away, how do you leave this sort of open-ended and creepy? This is exactly how you do it.
Starting point is 02:00:20 The fucking villain wins, man. Them kids are dead. You leave the door open, classic horror parlance, rather than closing the door. on everything. You leave it open and let all the fucking monsters still out there. Precisely. But that is the end of Halloween three colon season of the witch. We'll go around the horn here for some final thoughts. Mr. Siska. It's a banger and mash. There you go. No, it's good. I like, I had a lot of fun with it. I always do. It's daring.
Starting point is 02:00:47 It's bold. What they do after doing Michael Myers to going to this. I like the anthology angle. And I like what we have here more or less. It's silly. It's campy. It's fun. So it's a recommend for me. There you go. Chris Cabin. Oh, yeah, big recommend. I think the initial, like, you know, thinking this is too silly to be taken seriously. It is the disbelief that you would allow a character like this to be your main character.
Starting point is 02:01:15 Yeah. And like, but once you do get that and get used to it, it makes for a very interesting watch. And I think it's still a very interesting watch. I've seen it like at least 10 times at this point. So like I have no issues with that. Like the last four times, that's been my way of viewing it. And I've just been like, this is great for what it's trying to do. And the fact that it does leave the door open at the end makes me very, very happy.
Starting point is 02:01:40 So yeah, nothing but positive things to say about this. Big time. Steve Sadek. It's an oddity for sure. It's my second favorite Halloween movie after the first, which is weird to say because there's no Michael Myers in it. But it's cool to see them try this. I think it's well, it's well crafted. It's cool. it's it's it's also like 98 minutes it's not too too long right again it's a little long on the tooth in the factory sequences but that's nit picky the score is great atkins is such a fun and weird presence as a hero again this is a movie these are movies usually about a young buxom girl up against a big monster guy this is just about an alcoholic doctor against irish which is sure that's a good idea yeah that's a good movie pitch but i'm way into it i've said this is my uh a third favorite Halloween but i'm not going to talk about my second one because I'm
Starting point is 02:02:26 I don't want to make Eric angry. Halloween two. Halloween, too. Yes, yes. As in Halloween, 2, 1981. No. Rob Zobvi's Halloween 2.
Starting point is 02:02:34 Rob Zubbi's Halloween 2. You guys are, you guys have no taste. I'm sorry. I won't. I won't. I'll tell you this, because the reason I wanted to do this also was because I think me, more than anyone,
Starting point is 02:02:48 my opinion changed about this movie so hardcore over the last 15 years, wherever the last time we did the first episode on it. And I remember just being in that camp of like, it's not Michael Myers. This guy's fall down drunk. And we had fun making fun of it. But I know now that I just like it way more. And I do think it's an actual good movie.
Starting point is 02:03:08 And I will say to that, the idea of like taking something a little different, this movie shares a font with Halloween kills. You're right. Corey, Corey Halloween ends. Oh, Halloween ends. Yes, the last one. Halloween ends. That's the middle one.
Starting point is 02:03:24 Corey, Corey. The blue font that's sort of like mirroring the font of this. You know, so like it just, it just reminds me that like it's okay to like stir shit up every once in a while. Yeah. You know, it tried. It failed, unfortunately. It didn't really do it at the box office. We went right back to Michael Myers afterwards, which is a bummer, but what are you going to?
Starting point is 02:03:40 Yeah. You know that Rob Zombie Halloween 2 also doesn't have Michael Myers in it. It has Jason Voorhees, priming for his mother. I agree with you, my friend. That's for sure. But that is going to do it for this episode of We8 Movies. But the fun doesn't end there. If you want more, we eight movies, including episodes.
Starting point is 02:03:54 like this one completely commercial free head over to the patreon patreon.com slash we hate movies where every other parts of the week usually on thursdays and Fridays but not Tuesdays we release more shows that we do including a couple weeks ago we did as Steve already mentioned a we love movies episode on the guest fantastic movie it was awesome going through that again just another banger legit cult classic this also Halloween three cult classic set sure yeah big time I like movies that are inspired by John Carpenter that sounds pretty cool to me Yep, exactly right. Last week, we had Melro 2100, Chris Cabin.
Starting point is 02:04:30 We did indeed. We're 90210.1. You know what, Andrea, still banging, still having a great time doing it. Brandon, still being a piece of shit. So up to normal at 902101 over Melrose place, the disastrous Mike and Amanda betrothed hangout, the love setch is continuing on. I hate it. But you know what? It's getting wild, so I enjoy it.
Starting point is 02:04:54 And Kim is about to do something I know. I don't know what it is, but I know she's about to do something crazy. And two words, Dan Cortez is coming. He, I assume, is also going to be a pan in the ass coming forward. If you are listening to this on the day it comes out, which is Tuesday, the 15th of September, Steve Sate, like, we're doing something tonight at 8 p.m. Easter. We are having ourselves a after dark party that you're invited to. The after dark hangouts, we do them at 8 p.m. Eastern.
Starting point is 02:05:24 If you watch it with a mask on, your children will be killed. No, no, no, no. No, no, no. But no, it's a super fun thing. You ask us questions for our top-tier Patreon listeners. Every time it's a blast. That's right. And also this week, I mentioned it when talking about the color of goo in this movie.
Starting point is 02:05:40 But yes, this Thursday, the backroomstery is coming out. Our third commentary of the year, going to be able to sync up and watch backrooms with us, which will be pretty interesting. I haven't gone back to it yesterday and seeing it in theaters. so it'll be fun to reevaluate on the air. Next week, of course, we've got a ripe animation damnation ready to drop. That's right. We're going to do Street Fighter, the animated series.
Starting point is 02:06:04 Apparently we did this 150 years ago. I barely remember it. But we're going to do the pilot of that, which will be super fun. Gile gets a team to fight M. Bison or whatever the fuck is going on. Okay. Sounds right. Sounds good. And next Friday, the 25th, the Gleep Gloucler, will be dropping.
Starting point is 02:06:20 That's right. We'll be talking about Prince Chizor, down by the... the seashore. Yes, that's the evil green guy from Shadows of the Empire. We've catch up now. We've done Dash Rendar a few months ago. So get on that gleepe glossary.
Starting point is 02:06:35 That's where we cover all the EU insanity. Yeah. And as always, the show rose on season 17, just getting underway here at We Hate Movies. Steve, what, uh, we're actually, it's a back-to-back horror. What are we talking about next week? It is, uh, if you want to call it horror. Resident Evil apocalypse.
Starting point is 02:06:52 Oh. Action horror. maybe. Is this the second one? I believe it is the second of those films. I don't know a thing about. I've seen the first Resident Evil a couple times. We did it on the show, but that's it. This is kind of leaning into Zach Krieger's next take at the joint there.
Starting point is 02:07:09 We'll see whatever. What's her face got up to? What's her name there? Milo Jovovich. Yes, of course. Director's wife. Yes. That's right.
Starting point is 02:07:18 Yeah, I would wager's movie is probably going to be better than Resident Evil Apocalypse. We'll see. We'll see. We will see. So until next week when we're going to see about Resident Evil Apocalypse. I've been Andrew Jufen. Steven Seda. Eric Siski. Chris Capon. Take it easy.
