Starting point is 00:00:00 Guys, welcome to today's episode. It's a great one because we have The Real Housewives of London's, Amanda Cronin and Nessie on our sofa, talking all things, giving us all the tea. It's pretty epic. We discuss our iconic Halloween outfits. And, of course, we've got some real juicy dilemmas. We love you.
Starting point is 00:00:18 Love you. Love you. Hello. Okay, listen. Farsely, we're just going to like just dip in quickly that we've got the most friggin' epic episode ever because if you've not watched Royal Housewives of London you must have seen a clip of it.
Starting point is 00:00:36 There's only one clip you really need to have seen. Back to Paddington. Back to Paddington. Back to Paddington. Oh wow. It just wasn't doing me. Okay, so we've got Amanda and Nessie on and we're just friggin' obsessed. It's just a juicy one, guys, so strap yourselves in.
Starting point is 00:00:51 Yeah. So what's been going on them? Right. Halloween, so by the time this podcast comes out, guys, apologies. Halloween would have been and gone. This is great in space for your next year's. outfit so we were going to go with vicky and bex yeah and um then i was like it was just
Starting point is 00:01:05 it's a bit lame because they're both like fit and like it's just like just like i don't know it's just like it's just not that fun i want to do something really funny and toby was i so agree so he was on chat gbt asking him so many questions chat gbt came back with some mental answers it was like go as a gas can and then a lighter as like a gas lighter as like a carpal duo all these like stupid things never if you did that there i don't get it yeah it was just so weird answers. Sorry, Chachy BD. Anyway, then it came up with Devil Wears Prada. So I'm going as Miranda Priestley and he's going as Nigel, as in Stanley Tucci. He's got ball cap, glasses, he's going to shave off his beard. I've got this grey wig, the most amazing sunglasses. I'm going to get loads of
Starting point is 00:01:45 Vogue. Yeah, yeah, it's really good. It's really good. What outfit are you wearing a big gorgeous coat? Fur coat. My black coat, I'll turn inside out, I think. Or we've got a black one. Maybe I'll do the black one. And then like high heel boots, tall boots. How good is that? You've got in, like, just nothing. Like, you don't have to care about your house. It's just so easy. No. Oh, my God. Just all black.
Starting point is 00:02:04 Really impressive as well, because you had the opportunity to go sluts for it and you've not done that. It's just like, I feel a bit old for that. I know really it's really jokes what you're doing. It's better to be funny. Otherwise, I'll be uncomfortable all night as well if you're in a slutsville outfit. I'm obsessed. I'm obsessed. Okay, should I tell you what I'm getting ass?
Starting point is 00:02:21 Because I've obviously, I'm not going, but I've taken my photos. I was like, wait, where are you going on Friday night? Four weeks till the dream. Might get flavor. I should just go as. like a pregnant woman giving up. Anyway, I have got, so I always wanted to go as Pam Anson when she was, did that, when she was walking down the street pregnant with, she had the teddy bear rucks out. Her tits are huge. I'll show you the photo. So then me and Jamie was
Starting point is 00:02:42 like, it's not very fun because like, what can he do Tommy Lee? But he's not even in the iconic picture. So then we've done like, I know we dressed up as like loads of different Halloween people who were pregnant. So we've done the Courtney and Travis. Haley Bieber and Justin when she's pregnant. What other ones? Oh, Rachel. and Ross and Jamie That's good And then obviously me as Pam Just on my own
Starting point is 00:03:03 Just cute Oh my god that's stunning I know I just remember that actually That I have those pictures I completely wrong If I'm pregnant at some point for Halloween Maybe I could go as you Get a blonde wig
Starting point is 00:03:13 And like Toby could go as Jamie That's actually iconic That's really good I know In my mind I'm so excited Because I just know in my bones That my second baby We're gonna do it together
Starting point is 00:03:24 Well I hope so I just couldn't be Just mark my words Like, I couldn't be more certain. Oh, you've no idea of the phone mode that I had on the weekend. So I was having... I actually think I looked at your one point and thought you looked sad. And I was like, is she right?
Starting point is 00:03:38 I thought you were just kind of done with the day. No, I was sad. So my other best friend, Hermione, we went for lunch with her and her husband, Jack, who's my other best friend. I don't know why I said it like that. He's so gorgeous. His face is like, I literally just love her. He's so cute.
Starting point is 00:03:51 And then Sophie and Jamie walked past and they came over and we were having a chat. And obviously Sophie and Hermione are both stand there with their cute. little baby bumps and they were just like comparing notes and like talking about all these different things and like how they are in their pregnancy and like what the thermometer they're going to get or something I don't really know all these like things baby monitor and I was just like watching them talk like this like not knowing anything you were talking about and I was like I feel like such a loser I was too I really feel like I'm missing out why am I not pregnant right now did he say that he was oh one day slip sorry about that obviously like what's he going to say
Starting point is 00:04:23 oh my god no stop you're so angry it's got to you but now you need a time but I think it will work out perfectly. I must get pregnant again for the next one. I honestly think it'll be perfect. You'll do your fast with both of our second. We'll all do it together. Banging 10 out of 10. Promise me. She's, yeah, she's such a sweet pee. We also look really similar pregnant. I feel like I saw where you were at that time. It was exactly the same. It's like the same bump. It's like out. I can't explain it. It was just I was like, oh my God, matching boop. I was also saying to jack. I was like. Are you so excited?
Starting point is 00:04:59 He's like, yeah, I'm just really up for a new adventure. I was like, obsessed with you that this is your outlook on it. That's like, I quite like a new adventure. Do you know what I mean? I'm like, God, you're such a simple man. Men are so simple. Jamie's answer is, yeah, I'm really good under stress. That's what he says all the time.
Starting point is 00:05:13 I swear to you, that's genuinely, he genuinely believes it. He's like, I'm really good on no sleep and stress. Like, I thrive in stressful situations. So I'm like, not about the fact that you're like, yeah. I'm going to fall in love with this baby. I can't like to have a mini me, like a mini my wife and me. It's the same thing. No, what he keeps fucking, you know,
Starting point is 00:05:30 he's seeing clips of him everywhere saying this one story. And I'm like, do you mind? It's an offensive story. The story is, you know, when did you decide you wanted to be a father? Well, you know, I was at a dinner party. I was sat and I said, do you have any children? She said, yeah, I've got one. I said, how is it being a mother?
Starting point is 00:05:46 And she said, it's fucking shit. And Jamie goes, what? And then she said, you know, but the thing is, I want to experience every corridor in life. And so I think you've got to be a mother to experience that and have children. And Jamie goes, that was the moment. I thought, bingo, that's what I want to do, experience every corner. I'm like, bad story.
Starting point is 00:06:03 Bad, bad story. Bad story. Oh, my God, on that note. So Helen, you know, producer Helen, has spoken to me about the book Verity. Everyone knows Colleen Hoover. We've spoken about it. Sorry, I'm reading it. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:06:19 Do not read that whilst you're pregnant. Oh, is it really? Do not read that whilst you're pregnant. It is so traumatic. Why? With just the baby. and the mothering and I just know. Is it a really off-putting?
Starting point is 00:06:30 But I'm like addicted to the book. It's very, it's the kinky one? The sexy is, I'm like, Jeremy, I need to have sex with it. Do you think I'll be able to read it? Am I, like, is it de-sexic friendly? Yeah, it, I reckon it's like three chapters until you're into it. I know you said that I'm like, well. You basically, until you start reading, you'll get, I'll explain it to you.
Starting point is 00:06:48 When does the sexy bit start? Quite early on. Like, and it's really, really sexy. Oh, it's full on board. It's so funny how books can be like that. I've never read a book this sexual because I never read like 50 Shays of Grey or anything. Should I wait for you to finish it and you can give it to me? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:03 I'm really nearly done. I've literally read it in like one night. It was quite weird. I know. I really went for it. Speeding through that book. Well, Jamie and I have this huge argument last night. Well, we've not had like arguments.
Starting point is 00:07:14 It's more that I just have been arguing with him for the sake of just being uncomfortable. I said to Melissa like I'm pretty uncomfortable and I'm like I'm going to say it. I'm like quite done with this now. Like I'm ready to have a baby now. And my back aches, everything hurts. And Jamie's just bothering me. He's just bothering me because I need to let my outlet on somebody. So it's naturally going to be him.
Starting point is 00:07:36 To the point where we're in an argument and I have to start laughing because I don't know what I'm arguing about. He's like, what are you talking about? Why are you saying that? And he's had this huge argument about Molly May's series. Huge. He was like trying to explain because, Monnie, have you watched it? No.
Starting point is 00:07:53 She's had loads of backlash and hate. and all these things. And I was sticking up for her saying, like, you know, there's a scene where she walks the L'Oreal fashion show and she's crying because she doesn't like the way the dress looks on her. Okay. And I said, I feel bad for her because we're all girls. And, you know, to me I watch that and I see a girl who's insecure.
Starting point is 00:08:15 She doesn't like the way her body looks. And she's nervous as fuck to walk down this catwalk with Kira Nogara, Deneb, Eve Longoria. And so she's having a tantrum. because, but it's from insecurities, but because of the way it's been cut and edited and perhaps maybe like in her master interviews, she didn't get the opportunity to explain that. She kind of looks to the viewers like, people are like so spoiled. Not grateful for the opportunity almost. Got it. And also like get a grip, like, why are you crying about that? Okay. And I was trying to explain that to Jamie. Jamie was trying to explain.
Starting point is 00:08:46 He would get that because he's a man. Yeah. Not that he was like, not on Molly, but he was like, I see what, like, obvious. He was all. He can see the point of view of people watching, which I can He was almost like, why have her team, like, not flagged that. Like, it should have been explained. Like, I think she should have been given the opportunity in, like, one of her master interviews to explain, like, I wasn't, I was really nervous. Like, it was nerves that overtook me. Anyway, I lost my mind sticking up for Molly.
Starting point is 00:09:12 He was like, are you okay? I was like, you, why are you dissing her? I went crazy. And then it was going on so long. I started like, you know what a fight just like, and nothing I was saying had to spins into other things. And you're like, what are you talking about? I didn't even know what I was talking about, and he kept being like, what are you angry at? And I just had to burst out laughing, so I was like, I don't fucking know.
Starting point is 00:09:33 Just I'm desperate to get some anger out of me. I will say, I can only imagine what it's like at this stage of being far along pregnant. Because I know what it's like just having the waves of, you know, hormones, when it's pre-period time. The luteal phase, whatever you call it. Yeah, what is that like? I can't remember. Fuck. It's bad, isn't it? It's not as bad as I think that, the Molly May Ridge.
Starting point is 00:09:57 Mine's more like I'm just like really uncomfortable and like I'm really, like I really miss just being able to go on a walk. Like a 10 minute walk is like walking up Kinamandario for me now. Yeah. And also those things are so important to your daily life. Like they're so important to me. Like if I can do that, fuck. Do you know what that is what it is? I do think like there are some real chillers out there.
Starting point is 00:10:19 They're so fine with not being, yeah. Who literally like I'm just loving sitting on bed and like, you know, indulging. and delicious foods and I really my brain does not function well without like having some form of like walking or exercise or like
Starting point is 00:10:32 and it's just your body doesn't allow you to do that for me I know there are so many women who like run marathons You could definitely walk down the Victoria's Secret Fashion shit nine months pregnant
Starting point is 00:10:40 like 100 fucking percent if someone gave you a pair of heels and we're like here's the opportunity you'd fucking do it I would do it I would do it Melissa you should do that
Starting point is 00:10:51 well yeah do you think they even know who I are You should do it. You should. I know, my God. I know God. Do you think one day we could do it?
Starting point is 00:11:00 You could definitely be Emrat and I could be the pregnant woman. Oh my God, I'm way too short. Oh, I've got an announcement. Ding, ding, ding. I finished vampire diaries. Oh my God, I thought you're about to tell me that I don't know you're having another baby or something like that. I was like, do I need to like, propel myself? Ding, ding, ding.
Starting point is 00:11:23 Right, I am episode when Caroline is just turned. Oh, just in the juicy bit. And the mum is like down in the dungeon. They have to wait for the vein to run out of her so they can like... And she wants to kill Caroline. Yeah. When Elena goes, as much as she used to annoy me, I think the whole show becomes sheer. I like couldn't understand the back of Ford.
Starting point is 00:11:41 All of it was so bizarre. And actually when Stefan becomes human, I'm really upset. I'm watching the Guinness show and I know I'm late to the party. House of Guinness. I never watched her. House of Guinness. Right. There's a brother in it.
Starting point is 00:11:52 We have different tastes. in men and I know you always shame me for fancying young people. There is a guy in it that's really hot and I think it's wonderful. Couldn't get more bullied for fancying Romeo Beckham. You shame me. You shame me. I know you always shame me. Oh my God, I don't me. No, but the thing is
Starting point is 00:12:13 is that I just genuinely, I'm almost annoyed that I don't get the Romeo Beckham pie. I was back with his girlfriend so it's off the cards for me anyway. Mimi? No. This DJ, her dad used to own stuff. or something in there. Anyway, so... She knows. I know. So, what was I talking about?
Starting point is 00:12:30 Yeah, House of Guinness, there's this guy in it that's one of the brothers that's really quite gorgeous, I think. And then there's this beautiful Irish girl in it who looks like, who's the person that's married to Jack Whitehall? Roxy Corner. Right. This woman looks exactly like her, but with ginger curly hair, she's stunning. And I think from what I can see from teasers that they get together, and I can't wait.
Starting point is 00:12:53 for a little romance to happen in it. Oh, you mean this guy? I mean that guy. Yeah, I actually think he's really hard. And he's quite like stern and serious. No, he is a good vibe in it. He doesn't look young though. Okay, right, so she's watching her.
Starting point is 00:13:05 So I'm watching that with Toby, or do you, watching with Toby and his brother. I'm also watching, oh, there's so many things slow horses I'm watching. I've got good TV at the moment. I've got my list for Matt leave. Should I read it to you all? Oh my God, yes, please. I'd love to know what's on that list.
Starting point is 00:13:20 Oh my God, nobody wants this season two. Haven't started yet, but can't fucking wait. Right, listen. So love thy Nader, Nader, Nader, Nader. You're not into the reality while, but that is apparently where it's at. It's like a reality on Brooke Nader and her family. And she's on like Loz of Zempec and she's like passing out in the bath and they find all these needles. I'm just fascinated. Lute, you know that I'm all into that. Apple TV. Girlfriend. Yeah, that's brilliant. And then I did have Molly May, but I've watched it. So I'm going to watch the second season. That is all of my mat leave. And then obviously when January comes, I've got Love Island All-Stars, so I'm absolutely smooth sailing everybody. I love it how she's just like thinking there's going to be no baby, the whole Mat-Leave, it's just TV. She's like, I'm having four months off. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:03 My Matt Leave is just me watching shows. Every single show someone's like, you watch this. Not accounted for what the baby's going to be doing. No, no, I'll just be awake watching shows. Right, so I'm going to put in House of Cars. What was it called? House of Guinness. House of Guinness.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Jamie would like it too. It's quite good for both of you to watch. House of Guinness and also what was the other one Slow horses Again Jamie would love Very good Okay very funny
Starting point is 00:14:29 Quite a thriller dramay Like crimey but also very Like it's like the banter Which is brilliant Like English humour would you say Like old school English humour You'd really like it Okay I'm obsessed
Starting point is 00:14:39 Alright what other things we have to talk about I feel like there's a few Oh my god The Wedd Trainer What those Yeah The Hidden Wedge Not for me Right listen guys
Starting point is 00:14:49 I went to uni and I was strictly Newcastle uni and I turned up and me and my friend Megan and Bella we only wore a wedge trainer in a skinny jean like it it to the point my friend Megan went to the gym in a wedge trainer oh my God that's commitment she used to wear leggings and go to the gym with a wedge trainer I can proudly say I've never worn a wedge trainer in my life I fucking loved it I had like a grey and black camouflage wedge trainer the ash ones you remember the ash ones I remember Ash, the brand Ash. Are they still going?
Starting point is 00:15:24 I still have them. They were so great. You've still got those? I'm sure I do. I think they might be at my mum's house. I'm not joking. I think they were like in my old family home. Good for the archives to be fair.
Starting point is 00:15:34 And she packed them just thinking, well, they look new. Anyway, I'm not putting on a fucking wears trailer. Sorry, Isam Morant then did them. I think that's why everyone copied. Well, let me tell you what else is back in the day. It's actually a criminal offense. The Gucci belt. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:15:47 Whoever's been wearing a Gucci belt. Get them off. Oh my God. No. I wore one to the Beyonce concert. You did. I brought out my Gucci belt that was brown. I had when it was really a thing
Starting point is 00:15:59 because I had a black one and a brown one. Me too. So cool. And I was like, you know what? I know this is coming back and I know it's kind of vintagey vibes. It is kind of vintage rise, but now it's kind of not.
Starting point is 00:16:10 I've actually not seen anyone wearing them. No, no, no. But it's what you wear it with, like, you have to wear it with like a vintagey looking out but you can't wear it with like, what people used to wear a Gucci butt with would be like skinny jeans. Stuart whitesman boots.
Starting point is 00:16:21 Stuart whitesman boots. I've kept those in case I've come back in fashion because I had all of, oh my God. And then like a fur gilae with the little rabbit tails that would hang off the bottom. Yeah, and like a woolly hat. Right. Sophie also taught me about this whole love heart thing
Starting point is 00:16:34 that the Gen Z's do. I'm so shocked you didn't know. I've now seen it because I saw them doing at the VS fashion show. So I think it's like that. It's like this. Oh. Oh, it's that. Oh yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:45 It's like, course Lizzie would know. What's our? That's not even a fucking heart, guys. Just do it like that. Come on. It's so weird. I don't really get it. And why?
Starting point is 00:16:56 Oh my God. And you know what else they all say real. Ro. Like that's their, yeah. Like, real. Oh my God. And like, I have a Gen Z. I like, I'm like, I'm like, where I live, not and getting it.
Starting point is 00:17:09 There's like quite a few like Gen Z. And like you've bumped into some of them with me around this area. Like I go to the gym with them and they're like proper Gen Z's. And they just say, bro. Real. And I'm like, what? And now I know they're saying real. And I hear it everywhere. And when we did our gorgeous, gorgeous little, like, live podcast with all those gorgy, gorgy girls, some of them were Janzy. They were still at uni and they were like real. And I'm like, the scary thing is I'm two weeks away from being Gen Z. And I don't know any of this shit. I need this Toby. So there's a few
Starting point is 00:17:40 generations of Janzy right. Toby's a full on Genzy. It's the baby Janzee. It's the baby Gen Zs because I'm like the Gen Zs that we know that are our age are basically millennials. Yeah it's like the it's like the 18 year olds saying real. 18 year olds and like the 23 year olds I would say 23 and then it's a cutoff point because my brother's 25 and that he doesn't fucking know any of this shit. Yeah it's a whole other language really. It is. Right, Dilemma One. Hi, Sophia, Melissa.
Starting point is 00:18:24 Just want to start off by saying I love listening to you both every single week. I've been with my boyfriend for nearly six years now. And a couple of months ago, we had a huge argument and he stopped speaking to me. Ignored all my calls and messages and didn't come to mind that evening, even though we had plans. He ignored me for so long. I generally thought he might be in hospital somewhere because it was so our character for him to just disappear. turns out he'd gone out clubbing and when I checked his Instagram he had followed me multiple girls on Instagram that night so was on his phone even though he was ignoring me. I ended up breaking
Starting point is 00:18:55 up with him but somehow he reels me back in. Since then I found out he slept with someone that the day after we broke up and not only that he also had a girl's stay over at his house after we've got back together but claims nothing happened. He's been apologetic and hasn't slept to fit out of line since then but I can't help but feel I made the wrong decision. I mean if he slept with someone once, why wouldn't he do it again? I don't know what to do because I've been with him since I was 17. It would be so hard to walk away, especially as he's been such a huge part of my teenage years and early 20s. What's you guys think? Once a cheater, always a cheater. The thing is, it wasn't that he fucked up and slept with someone. Like, you've been going
Starting point is 00:19:32 out for six years. Like, this is not like, we went on a break and he slept with somebody. Like, I believe that he cheats on you. Especially the bit before, like, he then ignored you and stuff just after an argument. Like, that's really weird. And it didn't come over after plans like I think if anything I would recommend a break and some space I just feel like this is going to get really toxic and I can imagine if you do go on a break you and him are going to go back to each other for ages like I can just sense it's not sounding good it's also really imagine you just have an argument and they just stop replying don't even come over and you have plans because you think like oh my god if you're in an argument you still turn up you still show up
Starting point is 00:20:11 and you're like in a bad moon you're like let's sort this out no I'm quite I guess I've got ghosted. But for six years, you're going to ghost. I ghost Jamie now. And then go out and fuck someone. I don't go out and fuck someone. No. But I can ghost for a hell of a long time.
Starting point is 00:20:27 But how when you live with him? If Jamie was on a stag and I had an argument, I'd go to him for four holidays. Fair enough. Fair enough. But if Jamie did that to you, not good. Oh, he would never. Not good. There is a 100% double standard that needs to apply to every relationship and it's things like this.
Starting point is 00:20:43 But we do it for all this reason. because men have this ability to just actually go rogue I look I know that we do sort of pigeonhorn men and women against each other and like we really aren't like that and we do sometimes have very toxic advice but like this is an example of it
Starting point is 00:20:59 like this is so shady and like the fact he went out and followed these fuckers on Instagram like no he wanted to cheat on you he wanted an excuse the fact that this is also like a first offence is quite strange six years in like didn't like took this argument so personally
Starting point is 00:21:12 stopped replying like he wanted to cheat I fear that this could not have been the first time. He's so nonchalant about it. Like, we've had an argument. I'm going to go out. And, like, also the fact that, like, you break up and he shagged some of the next day. After six years, that is, that's not a breakup. That's such a big move.
Starting point is 00:21:29 That's like, how many arguments have we all had? Like, I'm breaking up with you now. Well, exactly. You don't go out and shag someone on the next day. Like, are you actually insane? It's just not, like, this has been happening before. There must have been something brewing for this moment. Or he's been thinking about stuff.
Starting point is 00:21:43 And he's just been pushed. pushed, pushed, in his mind, I'm not saying you pushed him, but like he's pushed himself to this decision. He's just fucking done it. He's fucking done it. I think you deserve so much better. I think that after six years, this is horrific behaviour. Yeah. Even it's so disrespectful to follow other girls on Instagram. Oh my God, 100 fucking percent. What are you doing? And I really think that you deserve better. And I really think that I just think you deserve better. I think you could do better. I don't want you to like lower yourself to this. I also wonder if, like, let's say Toby did this to me.
Starting point is 00:22:18 We had an argument. He then ghosted me, didn't come home that night, went out clubbing. Let's say he didn't cheat on me. That's still almost a dungible offence. Do you know what? Listen, if you're all going out for a year and you have an argument and they go out clubbing, you're like, fucking whatever. After six years, that is a dumpable event.
Starting point is 00:22:36 I'd be like so disrespectful. And it's like so mean. Like, I would never do that. You're just making the other person sit at home worrying about me. That's why I'm laughing, because I'm like, yeah, I go so five days. I don't really, guys. I can, like, I could give it a good shot, but, like, obviously I don't. And I would never then go out.
Starting point is 00:22:54 He doesn't, I'm really sorry. I don't think this guy wants to be with you. I think he likes, and this is his way of expressing it. Yeah, and then he's gone, fuck. I fucked up. Like, oh my God, the six years we've been together. Like, need to get it back. Need to get it back.
Starting point is 00:23:07 And then the guilt's, like, taken over him. So he's got you back. And then now... I just think you could do so much, but I feel really upset. And I think he, like, deserves to know how awful he is. And I think that, of course, I just want to say one thing. He is not going to want to break up with you because you are allowing him to do this. And so he, of course, will want his cake and eat it.
Starting point is 00:23:27 Your comfort. He's been with you for six years. Like, breaking up, even if you are done with somebody after six years is horrible because you're so ingrained in each other's lives. If you are letting him be with you, but also allowing him to go out and sleep, follow these girls. That's illegal in itself. Fuck that. fuck that and then shag some on the next day like he knows he can do this to you over and over and again and like he he will want to do everything he can sweet talk you everything to stay with you but he will continue doing this because the respect will go and you can only gain the respect back by by knowing yourself worth and that is walking away from this yeah we love you we hope that you are okay and just know how great you are and like you're going to be okay and whatever you decide we support you but I think you can do much better I agree Okay, right, Dynamo 2.
Starting point is 00:24:13 I just wanted to say how much I love the podcast. You're both amazing and I also follow you on Instagram for all the outfits. So, for huge congratulations. I'm also pregnant with my second baby girl and my gorgeous friend is throwing me a baby shower at the most beautiful boutique tea room. It's absolutely stunning. Here's my dilemma. I have no idea what to wear.
Starting point is 00:24:33 It's just over a month away and I'll be 33 weeks, so fully in the third trimester. With quite a big bump already, I'm attaching some recent photos so you can see what I look like out so you can see my beautiful baby girl, little girl. She's truly my bestie. I'd love some suggestions on where to look for gorgeous dresses or an outfit. Sophie, I've been loving your pregnancy looks so I thought you might have the perfect recommendation. Oh my god, love you so much. Okay, I actually have two brands that I think will be really good for you. Healtha Studios, great, loads of stretchy dresses, like loads of polonets, loads of tight dresses and then also Norma Kamali. Oh, we've got pickies. And congrats by the way, that's so
Starting point is 00:25:11 Oh, my God, sweet Pete. Loving the fruit. Oh my God, you're absolutely stunning. Oh, my God, you're so gorgeous. No, I can't. You look amazing. Your little baby is so cute. Loving the green eyes and the lips.
Starting point is 00:25:24 You look incredible no matter what. But also, like, if you're more of a floaty gal, then you've got Rixo, you've got ASOS, you've got, like, Zara. Yeah, so tell me through your daily when you're going through to pick an outfit. Nothing fits at this stage now. I'm truly out of everything. Like, today I thought we have these. guests coming on I thought I'm going to dress up and I all my pregnancy outfits like I don't fit into one single thing which is kind of wild because that obviously I bought them to fit into
Starting point is 00:25:51 my pregnancy but like nothing like all the tops are up here nothing goes over my hips these tops are great where are these from oh this urban outfitters okay oh bring you back urban outfitters I like I know I don't know why I went on to that also intimacy's got great tops kind of really similar to what you're wearing they've got loads of great ones like that Um, what other places? I've had loads of skims, trousers, Casadonia, like maternity leggings. These leggings are nice because they kind of look like smart trousers. The flare. I know. But the thing is with these is like, they're so, they fall down. I don't know why. But there was one that you pulled up high that was like specifically fair above.
Starting point is 00:26:31 They were skims. Skims leggings, yeah. With the flare. They were amazing and they had a piece of material. They look really like gym work to me. No? They are similar. They are similar. have I, but I'm like that's harder than a legging, I find. The flare. Yeah, you're right. Because it looks more like a trouser hybrid. Yes, yeah. Look, it's really hard dressing a bum. Yeah, I can imagine. It's hard to do all stages. You do a very good job. But these tops are great. I've kind of given up at this. Because I like the bit of lace at the bottom because it's like seafoury, but like. So I have an outfit is long sleeve. I think like a nice tight long sleeve number's really nice with a bump, you know, particularly in winter.
Starting point is 00:27:06 And then, you know, floaty trousers. There's also great maternity club. outfits like brands like Bumpsoot and seraphene. They've got really good stuff. I did not. I bought 800 pairs of seraphine trousers and none of them are a vibe on me. But I'm sure other people would like them. They just want my bad. Do you wear white to a baby shower? You can wear like whatever. Like I think if you have a girl, you can wear pink. If you have a boy, you can wear blue. But you could wear, I'm wearing nude to mine. Lovely. Because I didn't know what to wear. But I was almost going to go black and my mom's like, no. I think, no. She was like, no. A light and bright color. She was like, I don't think you can wear black to your wave show.
Starting point is 00:27:44 I was like, is there a coat dress code? Oh my God, what am I going to wear? I know what I'm going to wear. Sorry, that was quick. I just scanned through my wardrobe. I would love it if you just had up in your Halloween outfit again. Oh my God, that would be like iconic. Maybe you wear the wig.
Starting point is 00:27:57 Right, guys, we have got Amanda and Nessie from the Real Housewives of London on our sofa. We're one of the first people they've spoken to. It's going to be big. It's an iconic moment for us. Yeah. Especially Sophie. This is huge. It really is.
Starting point is 00:28:11 Nessie, Amanda, welcome to Wednesdays. I am, okay, right, Melissa's got into your housewise, but I am the biggest real housewise fan ever. Franchise fan. Franchise. Yeah. We've had Lisa Barlow on, Sutton, I'm obsessed. And I would say London has, it might top them all.
Starting point is 00:28:37 It's incredible. Didn't expect it, did you? I didn't actually. I won't lie, I didn't because... What was that? People thought we'd be all two sorts of... I think people were comparing it to the Ladies and London thing thinking maybe it would be a similar... Or maybe Cheshire or something like that.
Starting point is 00:28:51 You see other UK franchises. But, you know, I think we stand alone. We are different. I mean, great cast. If I do say so myself... Great. I don't think people thought we were just going to be so spicy, feisty. Well, Amanda.
Starting point is 00:29:04 Argumented to you. The fire was really brought to the table. It was good. Okay, we've got so much to discuss. We'll just start from the big. beginning. Did you guys watch the Housewives before you got asked, to be honest? You have a lot of friends. So you, you were familiar. Yeah, I'm really close with Meredith Marks. We've been friends for years, way before she started Salt Lake City. So she's one of my best friends with family
Starting point is 00:29:25 friends. And obviously, New Caroline and Dewinda as well. So I've watched a lot of Beverly Hills. I probably watched it all. I've watched all of Salt Lake City. I was a massive fan of the Orange County, so I was one of those original people that were watching that show. So yeah, I feel like I know a lot about the franchise and I've watched quite a lot of the show. So I was quite well rehearsed on it. Well, first on it rather. How did you get asked to get on the show? Like, how did they approach you? Yeah, I was approached by the production company and they were trying to get hold of me for about six months and I wouldn't respond because I thought it was spam messages. Fair enough. It's when they slide into the DMs, don't they? I didn't reply to them.
Starting point is 00:30:09 And it was only when I was in New York over Christmas that Juliet Mayhew called me up and she said, these guys really want to talk to you. Can you please answer your phone? And so I did speak to them when I was back in London and I think I was the final hire, yeah. Oh my gosh. Can I just say the whole casting is it was so perfect? Because Nessie, you're really the peacemaker in the group, aren't you? And then there are some seriously fiery characters, Amanda.
Starting point is 00:30:34 TV gold, TV gold. Absolutely. Yeah, I think I don't even know how Because obviously these people Who are casting They don't know us So how they somehow
Starting point is 00:30:45 I mean they're obviously Brilliant at their job But the six of us coming together Was just, it was like glue We all kind of just put six narcissists And I remember see what happens And then just put a camera on And see what happens
Starting point is 00:30:58 You're always right Yeah Did you know each other before Like were real friendships before Yeah We're crossovers yeah Definitely Between
Starting point is 00:31:06 Some of us knew each other quite well. Some of us had just met out and about. And some of us, you know, obviously all of us were in the same sort of social circle. So we were one, two degrees of separation for sure. Because Panthea is, she knows all about all of you. Little madam. Oh, were we friends with Panthea before? I didn't know Panthea before.
Starting point is 00:31:29 Panty had been wanting to be my friend for 35 years. That was the problem. She kept seeing me out and about and trying to say hello and I'm just like, mm-mm. And I think that had been a problem. I don't necessarily, I'm not going to talk to someone, I don't know. Like, I'm just not that person who's just going to get in the mix. Like, you know, I need more. I need to be introduced properly.
Starting point is 00:31:48 And I need to feel, you know, comfortable. So I think she'd sort of see me out in the back, probably, you know, since she was about 18. And we never really had a chance to say hello properly. But I think she'd taken that the wrong way. So there was a lot of pent up kind of, you know, you think you're better than me. You never wanted to make an effort with me. and so that definitely we'd been on you know she'd been watching me for a long time can I just say I'm obsessed with you I'm actually obsessed
Starting point is 00:32:14 okay unless you had known pamphia did you know of her on the scene no I had never heard of her before to be honest which is strange because how can you not now that you know like everyone knows it's Pamphia now but no her name had never cropped up in my circle even though when we did discover each other on Instagram we had like a hundred friends in common but it's so strange I think that's London for you right but I knew Juliet Mayhew and Juliet Angus before for years and yeah but still never heard of Panthea despite everything that went on so that was new to me and Pantheon I'd been
Starting point is 00:32:45 partying together for years so she was out partying in London 18 I was out partying at 21 we were in exactly the same crowd going to the same clubs to the same parties and and clearly she was kind of kind of in like a bit of a satellite group but she was definitely on the periphery so yeah it was strange that we never I don't think our energy is collided at that point and do they now starting to i can't wait for the reunion tonight melissa melissa's up to you what episode i'm episode five so i'm just starting to see your fire come out because i was like no she's so chill and like in the background and just like i'm actually bohemian by nature and a bit of a hippie soul super chilled and then i've got this very strong
Starting point is 00:33:28 side to me and i got you know sort of discovered boundaries very very very very recently and now I'm just not taking any crap again in my life from men or women I have a red line amen we love well now we've got done this route should we just let's carry on let's open the gates so obviously one of the biggest storylines was your fight with juliet angus she comes on she's a lady of london so she's already quite well known in the tv world yeah and you i feel from a viewer. Firstly, it's incredible TV, but also I feel very confused. It feels like there's stuff that's been cut out. I feel like I don't quite understand what the argument is. I don't know whether you, Nessie, I had no idea you guys were not speaking. I had no idea. And so when
Starting point is 00:34:18 she walked in, you said, oh, you look pretty. Do you want to come and sit here? And she said, oh, I'll sit around here. And so she went around. I was like, oh, this is fun. Yay, champagne, fun. And then suddenly it exploded and I had no idea where that came from. I didn't know. You had never told me anything. Why would you? She'd never told me anything. So. And Amanda, where did it? Can you give us the tea? What happened? Well, you know, we were, we met. I mean, Juliet's got her own narrative and I have the narrative, let's call it. So, you know, we had met in 219 on the cash and rocket, which I know you do as well. And she'd had hopped into my car. And, and, And, you know, so we spent sort of three days together in June 219.
Starting point is 00:35:05 And with Paris Hilton and Caroline Stambray, we had a little group and it was fun. And I was coming out of a divorce. I was decompressing. I was kind of, you know, just needed to have some fun and let my hair down. And that was a good opportunity. And then, of course, we sort of hung out a little bit at the latter part of 219. And then straight away, 2020, we were in lockdown. And I had a little bubble group of about eight or 12 people, couples and couples and
Starting point is 00:35:31 singles or whatever, and my daughter was in America at the time. And Juliet was part of my sort of bubble group in a way. So we did see quite a lot of each other during the lockdown period. But we were new friends and we were sort of social friends and spent time together during lockdown. And as soon as lockdowns were over, COVID came to an end, beginning of 2022. I launched my skincare line, Amanda Caroline, and moved into the property that I also built during COVID. I was very busy during that time. And I think we just suddenly, you know, she didn't come to my house. She didn't celebrate my wins.
Starting point is 00:36:08 She didn't really support my brand. And in the beginning, when you have a brand, you really need all your friends on board at the beginning. Because a lot of businesses fail within the first six months to a year. You need everyone behind you. So the friendship just sort of tailed off. And I sort of moved on. And then she pops up in my show. Did you have any idea or an inkling?
Starting point is 00:36:27 I did have an inkling. I think I was with Karen. and we'd filmed a scene together and I'd had some information that there was someone coming in and I wasn't told exactly but I figured it out but I certainly didn't know that I was going to bump into the next day at the picnic wow is the truth wow and then let's see how was it being in that moment like experience because you're you're just so calm and very level-headed and I feel my parents were there oh my kids were there my sister was there her children were Oh, of course. It was the family.
Starting point is 00:37:03 My three children, my sister's three children, my sister, my parents. So, yeah, so my whole family was there. So when I saw it all kicking off, I was like, oh, you know, I was looking at my dad who was, you know, ready to leave. And they got up and left at some point. They were like, okay. I felt bad there were kids there. Like I really should. I was like, this is not good.
Starting point is 00:37:22 This is not okay. PTSD. Yeah. So none of it, it's like that really, that was just like pent up emotions and it just sparked. old. Yeah, I think when Juliet walked in, I'm very good at reading energy. I'm very discerning. I have a discerning spirit. And I knew I had a knowing that she was not coming in peace. So I think, yes, not her not sitting next to me might have been a clue, to be honest. Well, you did open up with her. Yeah, come and sit by me. Oh, did you? That's nice. And she declined.
Starting point is 00:37:57 I do that. I'm like, come, you know, I do that. Come and sit here. That is, I know, that was. That was have put your back up. It's affectionate. Because also then you feel slightly rejected and then it's, you're defensive and emotional and all those sorts of things. You know, also Juliet, walking into an environment where all of us are sitting around the table. Not easy.
Starting point is 00:38:14 Not easy. And she's walking in alone. And she's coming. We've obviously had time to get to know each other. And she sits at the table. So for her as well, it must have been totally. God, I don't mess those walking into a scene days. And there's the empty scene.
Starting point is 00:38:27 And the fact is, you know, I know what friendship means. You know, I've got friends of 37 years. in London, I've got long-term friendships, a best friend. When you're calling someone a best friend, we know what that means. I'm sorry, you knew me for a couple of years. We were mates. We hung out a lot. And until we didn't. And so when she said, oh, we were best friends, I'm like, why are you overstating that? Well, clearly we're not best friends, because at the point when we fell out and I said to you, there's no value in this friendship. What, you didn't say, hang on a minute. Don't fight for it. But now she is. That's the best friends. You fight for your friends.
Starting point is 00:39:00 you fight for your relationships, you know, you would give it more time. Absolutely. So we need to talk about the iconic scene, back to Paddington, which by the way, I can't explain everyone I know, we just go back to Paddington. It's now become a friend. It's a nice way to not swear to tell someone to, you know, have off, isn't it, you know? Talk me through that scene. For me, I'm a very straightforward woman.
Starting point is 00:39:26 I'm a business woman. I'm a Christian woman. You'll see me H-TB on a Sunday, Finsbury Park on a Monday, Christian fellowships all week to connect groups. So I'm a straight shooter in my personal life and in my business life. If you lie about one thing, you lie about everything. It's just the fact that she wants to pretend she lives in Otting, Helen, I get that. It's not a problem. But the fact is if you're going to come in with lies about me, that was I'll come back with all the lies.
Starting point is 00:39:51 If you lie about one thing, you lie about everything. So I was calling her out on that lie. and because in the moment we're in Eccleston yards and I was trying at Belgravia my neighborhoods so you come to my neighborhood try and disrespect me this is my manner I'm very territorial with my men with mine where I live I'm territorial I'm territorial everyone knows that so yeah we were going at it it was going sideways off a cliff this this meeting that we had this coffee and I just I just told her to go back you know I verbally ubered her back to her real neighborhood, which is Paddington. It was just a way to get her to leave and end this horrible meeting that we had. It was not nice. And I just wanted it done. So out of my mouth came, just go back to Paddington, which I knew would.
Starting point is 00:40:46 She wouldn't like it. I mean, we were arguing there were a thousand people there. Well, they're probably more afterwards. My neighbourhood. In my neighbourhood. So, you know, not... You wanted it over. Not a good look.
Starting point is 00:41:03 I just wanted to get it over with and I squared up to her. Literally. I'm five at ten. She's five at four. Oh my God. That would be like me. And I'm in flat shoes
Starting point is 00:41:13 and still five foot ten. And I... Can you imagine squaring up? When was the last time you ever screen up to? I don't think I've ever done that. I might try it one day. I mean... You have to wear it.
Starting point is 00:41:25 pink ball dress though otherwise it just doesn't work in a pink gown with vintage bulgari pieces on otherwise it just doesn't work messy when you saw that back with you were the girls do you have like a WhatsApp group was everyone like wow that was a that was a big scene I was on the floor yeah I think I literally fell off my chair because I don't know that's one thing you know you guys know you don't know what everyone else is filmed and everything just moves at a thousand miles an hour when you're in the process that we didn't dissect anything or digest it or anything like that so when I watched it back, I was shocked. I was really shocked. I'm shocked how viral it went. And where did it come from? You know, it just came. You couldn't manufacture that. It was pure,
Starting point is 00:42:07 you know, just genius, I think, in a way. She just say so herself. And I will say I'm actually rooting that you make up. And I think a lot of the viewers are because I think most people are like both of you. So it's really interesting because usually you watch a seat. And like that and you're very much gun home on one side yeah but it's almost like you really root for both of you and it's to me I do feel like you kind of root that you know you guys are gonna make up so I'm crossing my fingers she's not giving anything away the series too and how has the response been coming off the show from family from friends from your daughters and and the public yeah well I think both of us have received quite a bit of
Starting point is 00:42:54 of fandom, which has been really nice. I mean, the response, I think, to the show generally, as you guys said at the beginning, is a surprise, but a pleasant surprise. I think no one really expected this to be so fantastic. It's epic. It's the best thing on TV right now, if I do say so myself. And it's going global. We've just launched in Dubai.
Starting point is 00:43:13 I was there this week. It is huge. That's amazing. And we've gone in really established. Like, people say, like, we're more like we've gone in season three or four. Yeah, like we're established. It's a hundred percent. It's just been wild and the response has been fantastic because, you know,
Starting point is 00:43:30 everyone has just appreciated the different characters that we are, the different personalities. Someone for everyone. Yeah, absolutely. I love that and you're both going to be loved by everyone because you're both so great. With the other franchises, has there been anyone that you sort of had any, has anyone warned you about the show or giving you any advice? She's an eye gone. I love Lisa.
Starting point is 00:43:51 She's amazing. I'd never watch the show. I'd never watched Housewives before joining the show. So I had no idea what it would be like or anything like that. So when I joined, when it came out, the first person to message me was Brin from New York, the New York. So she messaged me first. And then Lisa Barlow did. And, you know, they just said, like, good luck, amazing.
Starting point is 00:44:13 And then Lisa offered some advice about things and just said that you're in a very privileged position. It's like joining a sorority. Everyone wants it, but not everyone can have it. It's huge. It's huge. So, yeah, I just feel really privileged about it personally. Yeah, so DeWinda gave me advice. She said, you know, make alliances.
Starting point is 00:44:31 Because I was very much, I think, at the Cotswold kind of feeling like I was on an island. Yeah. You know, and I'm okay on an island because I'm used to it. Do you know what I mean? I'm kind of like, oh, it's me and me and got no support. And no one's coming to my defense. And there I go. And that's, you know.
Starting point is 00:44:47 Because that's what I project. Because that's what you project. So, you know, it can be forgiven. Yeah. So exactly. So I'm trying to be better at that. And asking for help is a powerful thing. And Durinda said, make alliances and I'm a really good listener.
Starting point is 00:45:00 And I did. And that's really helped me a lot. And people have responded really well to that. So great, great advice from Derinda. Now we have a little game. It's just quick for our questions. So we're just going to file some questions. Who would you switch lives with from the show, another housewives?
Starting point is 00:45:14 Karen. Karen. I mean, I love my life, if I'm honest. but if I had to I mean probably the person who lives the most different life to me has got to be Amanda so it'd be really interesting
Starting point is 00:45:27 to be in your world for a little while like kids that have flown the nests no man bugging you like in the Barbie dream house she's like I'm driving my Bentley in my pink house you know pictures of me on the wall I mean I'd like what's nothing
Starting point is 00:45:40 not to love I love that I think it'd be a very insightful change I live in this bubble you are you're in Amandaland I want to be in that bubble I love that. Who would most likely start a scandal just for the headlines?
Starting point is 00:45:55 Or the storyline. Yeah. Ah, that's a tricky one. Angus. Do you think? Who are you doing? I don't know, actually. Start a scandal?
Starting point is 00:46:07 Like, create a fake storyline. Yeah. If you had that yet. People starting up, like, arguments for nothing for the sake of camera. No, I don't think it's been for nothing. but there's been a lot of gossip that's come out of nowhere but did you say panthea then
Starting point is 00:46:23 PNN she knows a lot I think yeah she loves to gossip she admits it she admits it herself but Angus loves to stir the pot interesting for Amanda
Starting point is 00:46:35 if Julia Angus was a type of coffee what coffee would she be like one of those bitter expresses those when she spit out which housewife is most likely to be a Tradwife. A tradwife? Yeah. Yeah, you could call me a trad wife. So when my husband comes home from work, I always make sure that I'm dressed. Whenever he travels for business. No, you're almost like, I thought it was like undressed. That is true as well. That's when you got all those brokens.
Starting point is 00:47:09 Okay, they're getting hot. When he goes off to work, sorry, when he travels, because he travels quite a bit for work, I always, even if it's five o'clock in the morning, I always make sure I, I always make sure I I wave him off at the door, give him kisses until his taxi goes and he can't see me anymore. I try to cook for him as often as possible. Open the garden gate when he comes home, wait at the gate. At the gate, yeah. Gosh, don't let Jamie hit this. He'll be talking about my house.
Starting point is 00:47:32 I love that, though. That's amazing. Okay, right. This is for both of you. We'll start with you, Nessie first. Name one housewife you trust with a secret. You go out and have fun with and one that you would toss off a cliff. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:47:45 Well, we did this in Cotswolds, didn't we? And we didn't get very far because then suddenly it got broken up. Okay, so someone I would trust with a secret. I would probably say Juliet Mayhew. I just think if you were to tell her not to tell anyone, it wouldn't go anywhere. Who would I have a good night out with? Well, I had a really good night out with Amanda. And yeah, we had a good time together.
Starting point is 00:48:10 And Panthea's a good fun as well. And then toss off a cliff. no there's none of them I don't I couldn't pick one maybe we'll revisit that on series three and you'll have a couple I'll do it Karen we all go down together I don't trust anybody
Starting point is 00:48:29 so I'm not going to do that one yeah no that's not that's not a thing so now keep my secrets to myself just maybe my little white poodle I would trust and he is in the show So I think I can see that's paid.
Starting point is 00:48:47 Secondly, would be night out. I mean, all the girls great fun. I mean, I think the best night out would be with all of the girls. I think. Do you think if the cameras weren't there, there would be just as much drama? I always wonder this. Okay. It's real.
Starting point is 00:49:09 It's real. I can see it's real. But sometimes when you're putting scenarios, I'm like, No, no, no, no, no. I mean, I think, I think, you know, you're going to see headlines of us being banned from this place and banned from that because we've been like so badly behaved or too much drama or whatever. And the last toss off a cliff, you know, I would not want to, you know, I'm, they're all growing on me. Like fungus. Yeah, like a bad rash.
Starting point is 00:49:41 Do you want to talk to us a little bit about your skin care life? So when did you start, Amanda? Yeah, so I decided I wanted to start a business and, you know, coming from a skin cancer survivor, you know, turning to beauty as a comfort during a difficult time. And also from a consumer need, I could not find the products that worked for me in the skincare industry in the space. So, you know, I've tried a lot of different brands and I just wasn't really getting in there with the open pores and the pigmentation and the oil shine and the firmness or whatever. I just wasn't, because products don't absorb. We're waterproof. So there's a lot of products out there and it might look like it's got good ingredients,
Starting point is 00:50:20 but you can't get it in the skin because we're waterproof. So I came up with a new formula and we have a lab. Amanda Caroline, skincare has its own lab. I own all my own formulas. I oversee all the product development, brand development. It's a gentle skincare range to support your skin. The skin needs a lot of hydration, but just gentle, gentle. care. Amazing. I'm about skin health. Love that. Your skin's incredible. You know,
Starting point is 00:50:49 and sort of slow aging, better aging. It's a big conversation, but basically natural products from plants, vegan, clean, cruelty free. So everything comes from plants. We love that. We love that. We need to try that. It's the, and it's just such a lovely brand to use. So I created something that wasn't out there. I found a gap in the market and more products to come now I have the clinic the secret door in belgravia and we don't just do facial I also design facials and protocols and uh slow aging and better aging protocols for women approaching midlife um we can really prolong you know looking good and you know but really it's about how do you feel you know and often we you know we feel a lot better when when we look good when our skin is shiny and
Starting point is 00:51:36 our hair is bright and you know we can feel more confidence so really it's just all about confidence but I love that holistic approach. It's a holistic approach. And we'll share, for the listeners, we're going to share your link and all of your details for your skin care. It's my baby. It's my passion. And we must try it. Yeah, you have to. I really like it.
Starting point is 00:51:54 Nessie loves it. It's helped Nessie a lot with your makeup and it sits very well with your makeup. And on the show, I think it was a secret weapon for a lot of the girls. And Nessie, you make, tell us about your business because you're incredible. Thank you. Maker and decorator. Yeah. So I started the Chelsea Kate Company.
Starting point is 00:52:11 about 13 years ago now, coming out of banking. I just, it was one of my best friends, baby showers, and she had everything. So I didn't know what to give her. So I decided to create a baby shower for her. And it took me 12 hours to make a cake overnight. And I brought it, I'd never baked in my life. And I brought it to the baby shower. And everyone was like, where can we get one of these?
Starting point is 00:52:34 And I thought, oh, hang on a second. There's some business in there. And I remember at the time calling up a cake shop and saying, oh, can I have this cake? and they quoted me something astronomical. And I thought, hang on a second. I need to be doing this. Yeah, I'm in the wrong industry. Like finance is not doing it for me.
Starting point is 00:52:49 And so I shifted over. I quit my job when I started the cake company. That was 13 years ago. And then about three years ago, I started cooking with kids. And that is just giving children autonomy in the kitchen, starting from pregnancy all the way up to, I guess, now my daughter's nine and for her ninth birthday. So we have a tradition in our house.
Starting point is 00:53:10 that whoever's birthday it is we make breakfast in bed we have a menu we all go and sit and have breakfast in bed with them but for my daughter's ninth birthday this year she said no everyone stay in bed I will make breakfast and she went downstairs and without any recipes at all she made pancakes scrambled eggs and sourdough toast for everyone and then was like set the table and we all came down and that was her birthday she wanted to make oh my gosh that's adorable I need to get my child on to doing that so then you know I just wanted to give children a chance to try different ingredients you know open up their palates and things like this give them autonomy in the kitchen, let them choose.
Starting point is 00:53:43 Because once a child is involved in the process of cooking, they're more likely to eat the food. Interesting. 100%. And they don't know that. So my cookbook has been released this week, actually. Oh, my God. What's it called?
Starting point is 00:53:56 It's called the Dinosaur Cookbook. I love that. And it's the first in a series of themed children's cookbooks. Incredible. And we will also put the link to that. Thank you so much. And all of the information in the bio for you listeners. I will send you one.
