Starting point is 00:00:05 This little section we're about to do, but it's not yet trending report, which I'm assuming means it's about to be trending. Yeah. So we're really ahead of the curb. Okay, right. Number one, scent stacking. That about this? What I'm wearing multiple perfume? Yeah, I'm assuming that's what this is about to say.
Starting point is 00:00:22 Genzi and Millennials are ditching one and done scents for unique combos, blending oils, perfumes to craft their own fragrance formulas. Searches for perfume layering combinations have increased by 125%. Do you scent snack? What are your favorite combos? That feels too much effort to me. I used to do this. I'll let me tell you. But there was this perfume that my mom used to wear.
Starting point is 00:00:47 This is like maybe more than 10 years ago. I feel like now everyone fucking has this. It's not the same. They're like 01 eccentric molecules. Oh yeah, yeah. They're like meant to like change your own scent to smell to whatever. So in my mind that wasn't really a perfume. I put that underneath to like get my own sense going.
Starting point is 00:01:02 That's like your own pheromones. Yeah. And then I put. airmeir's perfume over the top. I'm not going to say which one, but it's like my favourite one. Don't even keep it on. So that's what I used to do. And now I don't do as much perfume all over me because of the hormone disruptors and stuff.
Starting point is 00:01:17 So I just put it on my clothes. So then I don't get the pheromony vibe. Would you put it in your hair? Yeah, that makes it last. But like you need the perfume on your skin on your skin to get the pheromones out. But obviously, like, spraying it on your skin and your thyroid. Yeah, it's like right on your thyroid and stuff. It's like not the best.
Starting point is 00:01:35 I still do on like a night out, but every day I'm not doing it anymore. I always forget to wear a perfume. I actually keep my perfume in my, yeah, same. I keep in my kitchen so that if when I'm running out of the house, I can go, yeah. It's like a part of makeup. I did my makeup in the car on the way here. I actually keep my makeup in the kitchen now as well.
Starting point is 00:01:52 This is like life of the child. The only time I have is like, while she's quick, in her high chair, so I'm like quick time in it. Fair. God, it doesn't look like a shady. What have you got no skin right now? Just cost us concealer. Nothing on the skin and everywhere else.
Starting point is 00:02:05 No, I've also got bronze and blestrone. I know, but no, but my sun cream is like an iridescent, glowy sun cream. Oh, nice. What one is it? It's colour science, it's mineral suncream. You should, you would love it. And it's like a Hollywood flawless filter, but it's obviously a mineral suncream. SBA 50. Color science, mineral suncream.
Starting point is 00:02:26 It's called glow. It's the glow shade. Right, I might have to go and purchase that. Yeah, you love that. What I've got on my skin right now, not that you've asked. What have you, your skin is gorgeous. Is it the Victoria Beckett? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:36 You're so keep telling me to get this. It's freaking insane. I need to get that. Like, unbelievable. You put it on, it just like, for the first, like, two minutes, I'm like, oh, I feel like I've got too much on. And then I look in the mirror again, five minutes, eight, and it's just like... Sincent your skin. It's like the weirdest thing, and it goes like...
Starting point is 00:02:52 But I wouldn't actually notice you had anything, guy. It doesn't know like we've got anything on. But you are really glowing. And then I take it off at the end of the night, my skin looks better than it did in the morning. Because I think it's got all that skincare. It's like August and then I'm bad up, whatever. I'm obsessed with that. Augustine's Bader.
Starting point is 00:03:05 It's so good. I can't even buy that. But I hate to tell you it's £105. Oh. Like what? But you know what? That actually feels like a bargain because Augustine and Spader's cream is $250. True.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Do you look at it like that? The annoying thing is I had to buy two shades because I didn't get the right shades. Yeah. I spent 210 pounds. I don't know. Could you use one for summer? I mix them together. Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:26 Because I got one. I was like, right, let's just make it feel like it's not going to be wasted. So I got one a little bit paler than I was supposed to use. And I mix them together and they're going to last as long. That makes it. And then you can just adjust, like, the amounts. Exactly. If I've got fake tan on, I'll just use a little bit more of the darker one, etc.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Good idea. Okay, number two is khaki. The colour of two, 2026, which I'm thrilled out, so I just bought khaki coat. This year, Gen Z and millennials will embrace a new aesthetic inspired by Wanderers of the World. Think khaki Bermuda shorts, pleated trousers, utility skirts, and pockets upon poppets. Isn't car key just one of those colours? It's just a classic. It's always in.
Starting point is 00:03:59 I feel like it's always quite chic as well. Yeah, I love a khaki. Me too. I feel like, I don't know if you're like this, but like, not. not being a colourful girl in terms of like what I'm choosing to wear. I'm not, even in my home, I'm not that colourful. I'm quite neutral based. We're both throwing khaki today.
Starting point is 00:04:14 It's just, it's a colour but it's not a colour. Yeah, I thought it's when I bought my coat. I thought it's different from wearing a black coat, but that's the same job as a black coat. But I feel like I'm wearing something. Exactly. It's not so dull. Where did you get it from? Reserved.
Starting point is 00:04:28 Never heard of that either. They gifted it to me. Really nice. And I got some really lovely wool chocolate round, like smart trousers from it. that are stopping. Thanks that little tip, carkey. So you heard it hit her first girlies. Right number three, ready?
Starting point is 00:04:40 I mean, we know this one. Lace. Yeah. Lace is set to be a staple of 2026 across the beauty, fashion, and home decor. Expect bomber jackets with lacy collars, softly stitched bandanas, even crochet phone cases.
Starting point is 00:04:54 This trend is a gentle reminder that more is more in 2026. Searchs for lace nails have increased by 250% lace bandanas by 150 and lace belts by 50%. Lace nails. Cannot get behind lace nails. How how the fuck would that work? I think it would be like a print of nail art, which I don't like.
Starting point is 00:05:14 What I feel like has come back, which is really nice, which is I feel like a style that you have also. The bootleg, jean and like a boot underneath. Yeah. Like the feminine style trouser is back. I love a bootleg. The girlie's bodies a bit more. Yeah, I love a bootleg. I'm genuinely obsessed of bootlegs.
Starting point is 00:05:33 They're way more flattering. Way more flattering. I feel so much better when I'm wearing it. Me too. Because actually, mum jeans and baggy jeans aren't actually flattering, really. They're not. They're not. What some of them, it's, jeans is such a, such a hard thing to find because they've got a fit your arm. Oh, yeah, I've been on a gene, absolutely ramping.
Starting point is 00:05:49 So where have we got to with that? No, I've gone too far. Oh no. I have too many jeans. I literally got to do that. How many did we order? genuinely, honestly, about 25 pairs. I've collected it over the last, like, three months. Shit.
Starting point is 00:06:04 Well, where from? Abacombia being getting loads. These are apocombi. Apparently are brilliant. Might nip him there later. You would really like the bootlegs, which these ones are. They're really good.
Starting point is 00:06:13 And then H&M, because you told me to. H&M is so good. I got some H&M bootlegs the other day. But you need to size down, as you said. Definitely. I ordered them all in my size, and I was like, meh. And then I ordered them on size smaller
Starting point is 00:06:23 and then I love them. Perfect. So yeah. That was your tip though. But yeah, now I'm like literally gone too fast. I'm like, stop. Free people also do really good jeans. You know when it's on your mind?
Starting point is 00:06:32 because I've told myself I needed new jeans. I'm like just like I'm always scouting them. And then I like genuinely, I'm like, they arrive and then I love them. So I'm like eating them. I know. I've got to the point where I have to stop ordering new jeans as well because my word was just, if I sent, I'll send you a photo after this. You won't believe the amount of jeans I've got.
Starting point is 00:06:49 Yeah, I'm glad that I'm going. It's like fucking insane. Like to be to the point when the girl that does my station, it was like, you're fucking joking. I was like, what? She was like, this is absolutely obscene. Surely you don't wear all these. And I was like, to be honest, I don't.
Starting point is 00:07:01 I love them all. So I can't get rid of them. I know. And also it depends on like really where I am and my cyclist of which, like, jean shape I'm going to go for which sounds so weird. It's really true. And also sometimes just how you're feeling, you'll put them on one day and you'll be like, I look great.
Starting point is 00:07:15 And another day you'll be like hideous. You've got to key them in case like your moods are different. It's almost like seed cycling, but gene cycling. Yeah. You know what? I think we just give it a break for a week. I think you're overdoing it at the Skin Beasters. And she, oh, she goes, because I'm pregnant.
Starting point is 00:07:29 And I was like not expecting it at. And my eyes just like filled with tears. And see, and I was like, it really took me by surprise. Did it really? Because in the delivery and there was no warning, like, I don't know. It was so unexpected. It was really unexpected. By the way, I was literally like two weeks pregnant at this point.
Starting point is 00:07:46 I know. It was like fresh off the test. No way to be able to tell. To be honest, you can't really tell that. You can. Not right in this angle, I swear to God. But then sometimes on the hen. You can tell.
Starting point is 00:07:58 You could really tell. You can tell, but it's like cover upable. But I will say like, oh. I can't wear any clothes at the moment, so I've just had to do a whole new order because these are like a size 40 gene or something and they are so baggy on the leg. Like my bar. Can't you get like a maternity gene that's stretchy? No, they all have like stretchy like waistbands.
Starting point is 00:08:16 And then it's so obvious. I don't fucking want to wear a stretchy blue waistband, thank you very much. Like we need to normalise making like cool high waist and stuff that's like wider and then like not so wide on the legs. Yeah. Because I'm struggling. There must be cool maternity shops out there. No, but I went on to Revolve and I typed in maternity and they've got loads of low-rise like skirts.
Starting point is 00:08:36 And because it's summer, I've just gone like ham on them and that's what I'm doing. You're lucky that it's going to be somewhere like floating dresses. Oh, that's true towards the end of it. It's going to be chill soon. Well, then I'll just be light in trackies and not give a fuck. But this period, I'm like, it's cold in England. Like, what have, I want to walk around in a skirt. I bought one yesterday.
Starting point is 00:08:53 But no, no, no, we can't. We can't. Melissa went to the countryside for a lovely retreat with the mother and her sister. It was so fun. They went to Bist's a village and did some girls shopping. You've not told me what you got. Loads of stuff. You've not told me one single thing.
Starting point is 00:09:09 We did some damage in Jimmy 2, Chloe. What shoes? Wire us out. We went to town. You haven't showed me one thing. Guys, I thought she came out empty-handed. Bista Village was, you know, sometimes you'll go and it'll be like in Dmitu, for example, they've got one shitty rack and it's discounted and everything else is full price.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Everything in Jimmy Tew was 70% off because it was 50% off. Plus an extra 20 because we had this VIP scanning thing. Why? It was so my sister, being the travel agent, it was fucking amazing, guys. I can't even explain. Did you fill up a whole cart with bags? And then we had like the service where they take the bags and they go to the apartment with it. So you're walking around bag free.
Starting point is 00:09:48 So it kind of like lulls you into false sense of security. I'm a... That you're not shopping. And it's fucking amazing. We got there at 11 and we left at 6.30. I was in. exhausted. And I was like, I'm honestly knackered. Like, I need to speak, pick me out like halfway through the afternoons. We did that. We had like the lovely Chinese food. It was delicious.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Oh, they've got a new Chinese restaurant. I've not been there for years. Really? You need to go. You need to go. God, you got it just in the nick of time. And also, you've got to go on a Monday. Don't go on the weekend. You got to go. It's still busy, but better. It's so good. Wait, is there anything that you could tell us that you got that was like an absolute 10 out 10 bar. Jimmy Chu is a lot of boots, a lovely pair of like knee-high boots. They're very sexy. Fliats or healed.
Starting point is 00:10:34 I'll show you on the weekend. I'm gonna wear them on Friday. What's she doing on Friday? I don't, Toby and I are going for dinner, but I'm going to, I know I'm going to wear them. You know, you've got something new. Pointy. It spikes a bit, a little bit, no. It's like there's an essence of, like, cowboy in there.
Starting point is 00:10:49 I can't picture that from Jimmy. No, I know. I need to show you. And they've got some studs on the front, too. Like this small section of studs, but like a really cool shape. They're like, I need to show you. I'm not describing it very well. Right, we'll show them and then you'll wear them and then we can reshare it on this platform.
Starting point is 00:11:03 So you can all just join in on the farm. Anyway, guys, I urge you all to go to Bester Village because they've got everything. I know. So much better. When I had, like, with like ex-boyfriends when you lived in the countryside, there was nothing to do. Yeah, yeah. We'll go to Bister on Saturday and we're just like mid-thran. Now I look back, they must have been like, fucking out, this is dull, like just following you around.
Starting point is 00:11:22 They'd always want to go to Ralph Lauren and get some shirts. Ralph Lauren had really good stuff too. They get a t-shirt from my phone actually Random And white company All of that stuff They've got everything Yeah they really do
Starting point is 00:11:34 Makeup really discounted I must go Right we ready Yeah K Dialema 1 Hey girls I have a fashion emergency I desperately need help with
Starting point is 00:11:44 I have been dating my boyfriend for five months And we've got to that point where it's officially time for me to meet his parents According to my boyfriend Every year His parents throw a massive charity gala
Starting point is 00:11:54 And sorry That's very gossip about That sounds lovely It's a big deal on the event of the year all the family look forward to. In a couple of months, I'll be going to that event with my boyfriend to meet his parents for the first time.
Starting point is 00:12:05 That's a lot of pressure to be in that, sorry. But here's my problem. This whole situation is not my normal setting and to top it all off, I have no clue what to wear. I have a couple of wedding guests' dress options, but I don't think they fit the fancy gala vibe. My boyfriend has never seen me
Starting point is 00:12:19 in this kind of elevated and glamorous outfit before, so I definitely need to make him even more obsessed with me with a hot outfit. I'm also very aware that his parents and other family members are going to be there and I need to find a balance. If you guys have any recommendations, I would love to hear,
Starting point is 00:12:32 good brown style of dresses, makeup or hair. Thanks, guys. Lily. Wow, that sounds exciting, the garlet, but I agree, like, quite a lot of pressure to meet them on that big, big night. It reminds me of 50 shades. I think that's how she meets his family.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Yes, it is, right. Listen, I would go with silk. I think backless is always sexy, but also really elegant. I agree. and then high neck front. Yeah. And I would just do a blow dry, a dice and bouncy blow, don't do crazy makeup.
Starting point is 00:13:03 I think that that would be the best option. And I think reformation is just the... Reformation is one of our favorites. We love reformation. Also, do you know what has some really nice stuff, Rat and Boa, Gala? Oh, that's true. They do. Sparkly.
Starting point is 00:13:15 They do. Backless. It's not cheap. You can get loads of things on vinted that's like Rat and Beaux as well. It's also something you'll probably have. ages and you'll wear it again and again. Also, Revolve is brilliant. If you've got some time and Smorgie. Scroll through those 231 pages of dresses that they've got on there. Why do they have so much stock? And they never have the size you want. No. It's a nightmare. Revolve, that's a really
Starting point is 00:13:41 good shout. When you find a gem on there, it's quite good and also you're less likely to be in the same outfit someone else from Revolve because there's so much choice. Yeah. Reformation is always a little bit of a risk. I always worry about that. Also, I think Zara are really coming out with some bangers at the moment. I agree. Pinterest, Pinterest and shit. I love Pinterest. I've been used. It's so good. It's so great for inspiration as well. Also like even just like online on Instagram, like I sometimes just look at girls that I like outfits. I like how they dress and I'll look at what they wear with for inspo or like what brands they tag and like. Yeah. It's a great way of discovery. Yes, I agree. Beck and Bridge do some really lovely dressers. They are Ozzy. Yeah. They do some nice things and I feel like
Starting point is 00:14:23 probably not many people will be wearing them in Surrey. Yeah, I would go backless high neck. Yeah. You're not, it's sexy, but I think it's really elegant doing that. I agree. I think you've hit the nail on the head. Silk. And there's options out there.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Like, you can buy something really lovely pre-loved. You can go on vintage. There's so much on vintage. Really nice quality stuff as well. I wouldn't try too hard. I agree. Don't go too much out of like what you would normally wear and feel comfortable. Be yourself.
Starting point is 00:14:51 Yeah. But if you want to go to go. down the glitzy route, fucking do you know what I mean? Like, this is your one opportunity. Like, you don't get to wear these things that much in life. I agree. It's so fun getting dressed up, isn't it? So fun. That would be my advice. Yeah. Really enjoy yourself. Good luck. You know what? I would also booge things out with some jewellery. I'd go for a dark colour and then really glitz up. You could also have such a pop, it can do really fun statement jewelry that's not like too much. Like you could do like an amazing bangle. You could do like a gorgeous drop-down earring. There's so many like really nice
Starting point is 00:15:22 affordable stuff. It's all about how you wear things. I think if you do a high neck dress, I like the high neck idea. Big earrings is a vibe and a big cuff on your wrist, a bangle. Yeah. I think that's really good advice. I'm really glad of us. Are we stylists? Good luck. Good luck. Have the best time and please, if you do have the time, please send us a picture. Because I'd love to see what you go for. And don't get too drunk. No, that's, oh my God, don't drink too much. Really just. Pace yourself. And have the best time. Love you. Guy listener here. Just want to say that me and my girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:15:52 religiously watch Wednesdays together. Oh. Sweeties. The compromises I watch Wednesdays with her and she watches the rugby with me, class. Every time Toby was on the pub, my girlfriend always compliments his fashion sense. At first, oh, thanks.
Starting point is 00:16:04 Toby wrote this in. This is written on Tony Watson. At first I was maybe a little jealous, but then I realized, wait, he actually does have good style. Thanks. For a guy who has worn Nike tracksuits, skinny jeans, and Marvel t-shirts for the majority of his life,
Starting point is 00:16:20 where would I even begin elevating my style? Any advice? Melissa, what do girls like seeing guys wear? From Toby's number one fan. P.S. As I am a real fan, I know you guys love a pick. So here you go. That's really sweet. That's put a little pep in my step.
Starting point is 00:16:39 Oh, my God, sweet peas. Oh, well, thank you, bro. I can see the Marvel hoodie in the photo. Oh, yeah, he has got a Marvel hoodie on. Well, firstly, thank you. That's really, really kind. That will put a half the same thing
Starting point is 00:16:52 step for the rest of the week. That's really made me feel fantastic. Oh, Ricketts. So, I mean, majority of that, where would I even begin elevating my style? I would say,
Starting point is 00:17:03 let's start the basics. Go to Zara Man. Zara Man, Uniclo, for good quality basics. Zara, you like a good t-shirts. Zara. Like the normal standard fit
Starting point is 00:17:13 from Zara or Zara origins because they last a bit better. It's better quality. And then... Zara jeans, you love too. Really nice to. These are our jeans. They need a bit of an iron, but these are our jeans. And then from other stuff.
Starting point is 00:17:27 Yeah, what about some nice pieces? I feel like October editions is a go-toe for you. I get a lot of my stuff from there. A bit more on the luxury side, but if you want to treat yourself to like a nice jumper at Christmas or something, you know? Some of this stuff from about blank is great. They do some lovely, like... More fashiony pieces. It's like an affordable version of something like Emily Ondor or similar sort of realm. So that's a good place for like jackets that aren't going to break the bank,
Starting point is 00:17:51 but are still really good quality and last a long time and look really cool. And also not everyone's in them. Yeah. It's cool and like it's like, oh, what's that jumper? That's nice. It's a bit more interesting. What else? What other brands do I?
Starting point is 00:18:03 Those are your staples, I would say. Yeah. But you need like a nice couple of hoodies. There's nothing worse than someone wearing the same hoodie again and again and again. You want to have like a good. Good selection. Good selection of hoodies. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:15 And also make sure that you really, really like the fit. Toby's very good at being. every now and then you'll treat yourself to something really nice like an acne jacket but that would be like once a year or once every two years and you'll like wear it in the nicest that you've built up, you've got a really good solid Yeah, I feel like you want to buy less stuff
Starting point is 00:18:33 A for consumerism of B also because you buy cheap you buy twice but if you buy something that really looks lovely that you love and you wear it a lot and it's worth it. Toby hates like waste like things above the planet I don't like wasting things So I'd rather sell it or like charity shop it. But like people that buy stuff just, I'd then like chucked t-shirts off.
Starting point is 00:18:54 They've worn them like five times or something. Who does that though now? Surely people are educated enough. Yeah, hopefully. You provide buying something that's more expensive that you're going to wear more of for longer term, which we should all try and be doing a bit more of. I think people are getting better. But that's a good piece of advice.
Starting point is 00:19:09 Yeah. Just bulk out. You kind of want a lot of options because you don't want to wear things again and again because that's when they get tired. That's when it doesn't look stylish. The fit goes a bit shit. the color goes like if you wash things loads they just start to fade a little bit so you want to be able to have enough stuff in your like rotation of clothes to like not have to constantly be washing something
Starting point is 00:19:28 yeah okay that's true so that it just has a bit more it looks fresh so shoes wise these ones that you're wearing now yeah they're a great affordable option a little knife of Cortez they look quite smart they do look quite smart they're a little bit more like kind of Austin Butler Harry Stiles vibe about them yeah And they're only like 80 quid. Yeah, and they have like loads of nice colours that are smarter. Like you have a really lovely brown pair that like more shiny that you can get going out for a nice dinner in them with an all black outfit. Yeah, some nice trainers. Smarter trainers that you can mix up.
Starting point is 00:19:59 White trainers always look the best, but then they age. Yeah, that's true. Whereas like a brown or like a black or. It's good to have options. Yeah. But thank you. That's really kind. I appreciate that a lot.
Starting point is 00:20:10 You're the best dress male I've ever come across. Really? IRL. For sure. Really? Yeah. Thanks. Who's any?
Starting point is 00:20:19 Why, here did you? My friendship group would say otherwise. I used to get ready to go out and obviously I just want to wind me up. I'd be ready to go and then my best friend who I lived with would go, when are you getting ready? And I'd be like, oh, shut. Jamie Lang does that all the time to Sophie and I. It's so many. Like when I would go over to get ready, he'd be like, you guys, we've got to leave in five minutes.
Starting point is 00:20:38 Like, are you going to get dressed? Like, always do that. So, and I. That's it for this week Wednesdays But god don't you just fancy some more Melissa Yeah I'd really love a follow-up to some of those dilemmas I want to know what happens Well then tinies we have got some news for you
