Hi guys, we have the lovely toy.
Be back on the pod today and we're going to get into all of this.
Who have you ever cheated on me in a dream?
You're lying.
I actually don't know.
My ex-girlfriend was dating Calvin Turner at the same time that her and I were dating.
He'd obviously seen me on her Instagram or something and sent her a message going,
how's it all going with the little fella?
I did have a gold backpack and a man bun at school.
That's quite the look.
But that was because of your proud rock era.
That was my only proud lock era.
I just thought everything he wore was really cool.
He's got a cold backpack.
I'm going to get one.
Hi guys.
And hi, Toby.
He's back for another little session on Wednesdays.
I'm a regular now.
He is.
We've got ourselves a little matcher, a little ice latte.
Yeah, I'm really getting in the spirit of the Wednesday's sort of culture and got myself a matcher instead of a my usual Americano.
We had a bit of a nightmare on the way here.
And this is something that bothers me about black cabs, right?
When you see a black cab go past, the new ones,
the light's always fucking on.
Even when there's someone in the cab.
I sympathise for that, but I've never had it happen to me.
I've always...
The light's on today.
You were like, oh, cab, the light was on,
and there was someone in the back of the car.
The new cabs have broken.
I think they're just in the daytime.
They're a little bit more...
They trick you.
At night, obviously, you can see if it's clearly on or off,
but the new ones, it's like...
It's so reflective that it looks like if there's any sunlight on it.
And they need to fix it.
And I saw this old, sweet old lady the other day when there was this huge, huge heat wave.
And she was desperate for a black cab.
And she was obviously exhausted.
And she tried to wave down three.
Oh, no.
And they all had people in the back, but they looked like they fully had their lights on.
Cabbies around the world.
They just drove on past her, obviously, because they had people in the back.
The reason we've had to get a cab is because I had the worst day yesterday.
And actually, we had the worst day because you were very kind and you took a,
car to have the MOT, which is very much a blue job. And so thank you very much for taking the car.
And you know what normal people do, organize people do. I know. Which isn't Toby and I, and we
seem to run into the same issue every fucking time with life. When you have an MOT due, right,
let's say it's due on like the 30th. You'll probably have it done on like the 15th. So you give
yourself a bit leeway. No, no. We book it after it's run out. So the only time you can
drive it is to the MOT, which is fine, but it failed its MOT.
If she failed, she's got an airbag issue
And so she's out of action
Can I also just say
That airbag light has been on in our car
For months
I know
I didn't know what it meant
But that's so dumb
Like why didn't we look that up
If we were in an accident
No airbag
My mum would be so upset
I shouldn't you know
I think we would all be quite upset
If that happened
Well I know
No if she knew that there was a light
Oh right yeah
Yeah let's not tell Nicky that
But yesterday
So I was having one of those days
where it just everything was going wrong.
I was working hard.
I had a client like chasing me for a video.
I then had to film some content
from my own like a paid post that I was doing
which meant going to Surrey
at like sunset time.
Maybe he doesn't just do normal paid post
he'll make it look like so stunning
and you wanted to film this cinematic fragrance I had in Surrey
and obviously it doesn't get docked.
I knew possibly bit anywhere else other than Surrey
well I just knew that there was a place in Surrey
that I wanted like a box hill.
There was like a cool view.
that I wanted to film.
Anyway, the sun doesn't set
till like 9.30 at night now
at peak of summer.
Is that why you weren't so late?
Yes, because I needed sunset.
Oh, I wonder why you were leaving it so late.
So that happened.
And then I was stressing, I had all of this work to do.
I had to steam all of the clothes
to wear three different outfits in the shoot.
So I had to steam all of those clothes
that I hadn't steamed.
I then had to like pack up my camera stuff,
drive the car with this giant locker.
So basically the concept of the advert is it
like, it's like a locker room.
But I was like, I don't want to do it in a locker room.
I want to do it in a field,
but with a locker.
So I had to get this.
It will look so cool.
I had to get this locker.
No, this locker turns up and I'm like, sorry.
What the fuck?
It's like a full-on locker from a locker room, like in a basketball situation.
It was the same height as me and it was unbuilt.
So then I was like, you're going to walk.
Go in the field.
I have to build the locker.
I need to finish this edit.
This client's chasing me.
I need to finish it.
I need to build a locker.
Then I need to steam my clothes.
I need to leave it four.
And you can't drive it now because the car's now failed its AMOT.
So how are you going to get it there?
Went to get a zip car.
Zip car has gone under.
Does it exist anymore?
I got taken to the Avis website,
and the Avis website,
there isn't like an Avis near us.
I don't even know how to fucking start with that.
Anyway, so I couldn't rent a car.
All the Excel Uber's was saying
that was too big to get in them.
How did you get that?
Luckily, one guy messaged him,
and I booked it, and it was like 50 minutes,
and I like messaged him.
And he said, yeah, yeah, we'll try and get it in the back.
Oh my God, thank God.
Anyway, I was then getting my camera stuff,
which we've had to keep in the downstairs
in the shower in the spare bathroom.
because we've run out of space to keep camera stuff.
So the excess camera stuff is now in the shower.
I went to get my kit out the shower,
turned the fucking shower on,
showered all of my photography and filming equipment,
then panicked, went to turn off,
turned the side one off, you know, the little side one.
So that wasn't hitting me in the face.
This one was going onto all of my camera lights.
And then, like, I was trying to turn it off
and I was so panicked.
You know what my brain's like when I'm panicked?
He just freezes.
It's like a deer.
being frozen.
Honestly, I wish you've got to see that.
I genuinely, it's the closest I've been
into crying in like a long time.
And then I was just making the water colder
instead of turning it off,
I was in panicking, spinning the middle one,
and eventually turned it off.
Luckily nothing was, they were all encased, like hard cases.
Yeah, they're all zipped up.
And it was all zipped up.
So that was then drying on the balcony outside.
You then came home.
I was all wet and on the verge of tears.
It was fuck.
It was bad.
Anyway.
It was a bad day.
Then luck came on my side.
We're meant to drive to Surrey.
We're driving through Mitchum.
I looked to my left and there's just amazing field with like long grass and woodland and everything.
And I was like, let's just film it there.
We don't have to go to Surrey.
Thank God also because you didn't get home until half-fice-night.
I didn't get home until midnight.
Long story short, it all worked out.
The video looked sick.
I can't wait to go to Surrey.
We'll be sure to post it on the Wednesday's Instagram.
This time yesterday,
was bad. So I went to drop off the car at this place called Halford's. This place called
Halford's. Which by the way, sucks. It's just, like super unique, kind of understated.
And then I walked to Southfields to have a little coffee, which I found this gorgeous little
coffee shop. Lovely. Quite nice around there, actually. I went to this, like, really nice,
like, high street. It was like really small and, like, quaint.
Oh, yeah.
Sat outside, had this ice latte and he was like, it's only going to be an hour love. And I was like,
perfect. But he was going to call you to tell you to tell you. To tell you.
You think it was finished.
And obviously I just get a message from Toby like,
it's a fucking failed airbag issue.
And I was like, so now what?
Am I not even allowed to drive it home?
Because that's surely unsafe.
But then he was like, yeah, the lights on.
So like that's been an issue before we tested it.
And then I looked at it and I was like,
that lights been on for months and months and months.
And we just ignored it.
Which is a real red flag actually.
Well, look, it's the first time I've had to EMOT.
So it's going to go to an airbag specialist.
Age 20.
It's the first time I've had to MOT a car.
We made a pack this morning that we're not going to do anything last minute anymore
because we get ourselves in pickles.
Pickles.
And we make our lives much harder.
I spend my life resurrecting the mistakes I've made.
But I am very good at resurrecting the mistakes.
For some reason, luck is on your side always.
So you get away with it by the skinny your teeth every fucking time.
Which isn't good because it means you never really learn your lesson.
Like tomorrow, for example, we're having a defender just delivered,
which Defender is so happened to be lending us for the week.
So that's just worked in your favour.
But that's complete fluke.
That's annoying.
It's like the Lord is just going, I'll fix that for you.
It's quite, it's annoying.
But if the Lord was really on my side, he would have done it yesterday.
Yeah, that's true.
So you didn't have to do that.
And he wouldn't have turned the shower on, but I'm trying to get from the criminal out.
That's true.
That was quite shit.
We have this, like, really nice evening routine.
Now it's like hot.
and sunny.
Well, we've always done it.
But we're obviously in full, full, full summer mode now.
And we go for these like evening walks,
which just feel like I'm on holiday.
It is lovely.
It's very nice.
And we keep, like, scouting out for our favourite front door,
like the perfect front door,
because Toby has like this.
There's this colour.
There's an olive green,
like lovely, cool olive green.
Is it like your trousers?
Kind of like my,
yeah, kind of like my trousers.
Maybe a bit darker?
But, yeah, it's a little bit darker,
but similar sort of vibe.
And anyway,
being like on the hunt for the, you notice that you just see a really nice door. Yeah.
It's got like a nice knocker. Yeah. And it's got a good knob and a good light either side.
You know, there's like nice like lanterns. So what colour is the like the hardware on the door?
I mean, it's brass. Yeah. Or like a, I like it and it's like antiquey brass. It looks like it's been there forever and it's got like a bit of.
So we've been taking photos of doors that we like for inspiration.
Many people now have ring doorbells.
Honestly, the most embarrassing.
Should I get out the message?
And Melissa got a message from a lovely lady who lives on our road, I think.
Okay, hey, this is super random.
But the camera at my house caught you complimenting our front door earlier.
Thank you.
And when I saw it, trying to check for a parcel around that time,
I thought I'd let you know the door is a nomad by coat paints
and the heritage brass, heritage brass, antique brass fittings,
and the brick colour is Farrell and Ball's strong white.
She's giving us the full breakdown of her house.
I know, what a lovely lady.
Have you replied to her?
I haven't.
You should.
I don't want to like, I feel like it's then weird because she might be listening to this.
She's me lurking out her door.
And now she'll see you lurking in your DMs and not replying to her.
Honestly, there's also some houses that we really bitch about.
And I'm like, God, we go, don't like that door.
No, that's shit.
They don't take care of it.
I always, yeah, you're right.
But always the ones I see they have a ring doorbell.
I'll be like, I'll try to make some comments that's really clear.
that we're just like, oh, lovely door, lovely colour of paint.
So they know the context of why we're staring at their front door.
Anyway, there was like one really nice house that we were looking at.
We always do this.
We just have like dreams.
Just a bit of aspirational house hunting.
There was one in particular that we were lurking outside.
And then one of the neighbours kind of made it really obvious that he was,
I think they thought we were like, we were probably the worst burglars ever and like trying to spy out of this house to rob it.
I do think that's what people do.
But.
they'll lurk and spy it out
and then they'll go off
and tell someone
what they've seen
so I don't blame them
I don't know if we look the most
suspecting that we're
sort of burglar's in
well I hope suspicious
Adonola and Birkenstocks but
be true we're not getting away anywhere
quickly are we?
No
so Taylor Swift had her wedding
over the same weekend
that we went to a wedding
in the South France
I haven't heard anything
about this Taylor Swift wedding
Oh it was in Madison Square Garden
That's a mental venue
to have your wedding at
officiated it.
Really?
Niche.
Niche.
In his basketball shorts.
Probably.
Dad t-shirt.
You know, there was apparently
1,000 people there.
I'm like, what?
That's nuts.
Blake Lively didn't make the invite list.
Not that you know really what that means,
but they used to be really good friends
and it's quite drums that she wasn't invited.
I wonder what she wore and how many outfit changes there were.
And I also wonder who did the catering.
Who did the DJing?
Who did the DJing?
Oh my God.
I bet it was a really fun.
It would have been epic.
It would have been such a fun day.
I feel like the catering is like on my mind.
I think because we're doing our weddings
and I'm like panicked about how do you cater for 160 people?
A thousand people.
They must have had to have multiple like catering companies.
How do you serve a thousand meals all at the same time?
Yeah, that's a hell of an operation.
They must have to have, they must have had to have seven different catering companies or something.
A thousand people at it.
Like that's not even, there's people.
you don't.
She doesn't know them all.
Yeah.
But I love it how she was like
in the Graham Norton thing.
She was like,
oh,
you'll know I'm literally inviting
everybody.
Yeah.
I wonder if they all got invited.
Do you know they were on the Opelight video?
Oh, 100% they would have done.
Did anyone see that April light video with all those people?
So fun.
I do think she's so creative.
I think that's a sick idea that she actually followed through with what she said
she was doing on the show.
But she didn't say anything.
She was like,
I've just had an idea.
Oh yeah.
She didn't say anything and then it just happened.
Even Killy Murphy like was just to post it.
Obviously he wasn't available to film.
so they just put a close to her wedding would have been so fun.
Yeah, it would have been unreal.
I also just think actually very her.
But like a party, right?
Not like a wedding.
True.
I'm like, yeah.
Also, where do you like walk down the aisle in Madison Square of a Garden?
Like, well, how does that all work?
Also, it was on a Friday, which I thought was interesting.
I don't think many of them would have had to take a day off work.
I think most of them would have.
But why not just then do it on a Saturday?
Maybe it was a game.
If I had to have a celebrity officiate our wedding,
I would have
I think I have Merrill Street.
I wouldn't want the Bees to enjoy the day.
I wouldn't want him to be boring about that.
Yeah.
He could maybe perform,
but like maybe he's like a wedding present.
Yeah.
But he'd be top table.
Fair.
I think I'd have like Meryl Streep.
Merrill Street would be great.
Just as Miranda Priestley,
she'd just give me that.
Oh yeah,
that would be quite fun.
Also there's something about her voice
which I really,
really like.
Well, Olivia Coleman would be quite fun.
Oh yeah, Angela Burr.
Angela Burr doing the wedding would be great.
Yeah, that would be good.
I'd also quite like Graham Norton.
I feel like he'd be just so fun.
No, you'd want him.
He'd be master's ceremonies.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, and then ushers.
Okay, who do you have?
Maybe I'd have...
Who would I have as bridesmaids?
Such a fun game.
Well, do you reckon to having Julea
for maybe on the bridesmaid's list?
I don't know.
Is she that fun?
Yeah, she'd be great.
I think she'd go on.
Get her.
along.
Only if you have Callum.
Can we say the story about what?
I've actually told them, but you can tell it again.
So my ex-girlfriend was at the same time.
I don't know why what was going on in her head
decided to go with me and not Callum Turner,
but she was also dating Callum Turner at the same time
her and I were dating.
That is absolutely bogus to me.
She was like chatting to him.
They were friends or like they were speaking.
And he asked to go on a date with her.
Were they dating?
Like, has she kissed Kalamnerner?
I don't know if.
I actually don't know the ins and outs.
But anyway, he'd asked to go for a drink with her,
by which point her and I become exclusive.
So she was like, oh, that's really kind.
But actually me and Toby, and he knew kind of about me.
Like, me and Toby are now exclusive.
So, like, thanks for the offer, but no thanks.
And he was like, yeah, fair enough, no worries.
And then like a couple weeks passed.
And he thought, maybe I'll just give it another shot and send her a message.
And he'd obviously seen me on her Instagram or something.
And sent her a message going,
how's it all going with the little fella?
So you've got a drawer in your house yet.
So good.
It's such a good chat.
She told me that, which...
I would tell you that.
Callum Turner sent me a message like that.
How's the little fella getting on?
It's honestly such good.
It's so patronising.
I love it.
I would have done the exact same thing.
Oh, it's amazing.
It just makes me like him even more.
5'11, all right?
Not that small.
How tall is Callum Turner?
It's a taller than me.
Yeah.
Tall enough to say how's the little fella getting on.
Isn't that wild that that means that do a leafer maybe knows who you are?
I don't think she does.
Who's on the bridesmaid's list then?
I need to just try and think for a minute.
Who's really fun?
We get five each.
Who's really fun?
I think I would have like Joanne McNally.
I just think she'd be really jokes.
Who else?
Who else would I have?
I think Meryl Street, I just love her.
Dakota Johnson.
Nice.
What a vibe.
I just feel like chilled out sexy vibes.
I'd just be like, I feel like I have got a good clan.
Camilla Moran.
Just asking.
Just a simple question.
Okay, right, here you're going to have.
I would have the, oh, you know what, I'd have been inspired unemployed.
Well, all three of them?
There's two of them.
Oh.
I don't know, they're not really that famous, but I think they would be great.
Every time I see their videos, I might want to be your friends.
Okay, right.
So you have those.
Also, that'd be good vibes.
That'd be good vibes.
That'd be good vibes.
That'd be good vibes.
Or like Fisher.
I'd have like Fisher.
Oh, yeah.
Oh my God, I also really like her.
Well, we can have them both.
They can save money on the flight.
It's a long way from Australia.
Any sort of famous sort of, maybe David Beckham would be quite cool.
Yeah.
But he would still the limelight.
Yeah.
Tom Holland would be quite cool.
Seems like a nice guy.
I can see that.
Right, I've got a treat coming up for you slash us.
Lidot detector test.
Nervous.
Hi, Mark.
Hello, Mark.
Rick's all rigged up for the old lie detector test that we're about to do.
Now that we're engaged, I thought this would be the perfect time to find out how honest we are with each other.
Okay, so Mark has strapped you all in and we're going to do some tests to make sure that everything's accurate first.
Okay.
You're nervous.
So we'll do two baseline questions just to calibrate it and then we'll start.
Lovely stuff.
Let's go.
I'm ready.
Is your name Toby?
Yep.
The wire's shaking.
It's quivering over that.
See a lot of bum movement going.
You haven't even started the test.
Oh, God.
Are you holding in vats?
The answer, yes or no.
Are we in London?
Yes.
Okay, you can fire away.
Okay, so, have you ever faked enthusiasm about a wedding decision we've made?
Yes.
About what?
Good start, truthful.
About what?
Just like, staff.
Just when I'm like, not in the, like, you know, and you're like in the zone about something else and I haven't been focused about wedding stuff.
So then you're like, oh my God, this has happened.
I'm like, I haven't got the bandwidth to do with that right.
now. And then later in the evening when I've finished working, then I'll be excited.
Okay. I really wasn't expecting that.
We've also made like three decisions. That's really not been much. Anyway.
Come for the test. Do you know the names of all of my bridesmaids? Yes.
Millicent. Truthful.
You don't need to listen. We know who they are. Okay, nice.
Have you ever cheated on me in a dream?
With who? I don't know.
I don't know. I'm so close to know.
Yes.
Truthful.
With who?
I don't know.
You do?
Is he lying?
Do you know who you cheated on me in a dream with?
No.
You're lying?
I actually don't know.
I'll show you the graph starts as a big response for that one.
Big?
I don't know.
I actually don't know.
There's a lot of sweat going on here.
I can feel it.
You might get electrocuted from all the...
Oh, God.
Are they famous, or is it someone I know?
Famous.
Truthful.
You definitely know who it is.
I know who it was.
And it's really random, you won't get it.
It was weird.
Subconscious works in mysterious ways.
Who was it?
It was Kylie Jenner.
Anyway, onwards.
Was this recently?
It was that a few months ago.
When you were on the boat?
No, there was nothing to do with the boat.
It was before the boat.
At least it wasn't someone I know.
What would make you cry more,
seeing me walk down the aisle,
or becoming best friends with Justin Bieber?
Seeing you walk down the aisle.
Why?
That's...
We've just proven the last one is correct
so you're reacting to this one.
Why would you cry
being friends with Justin Bieber?
I don't know.
Seeing you walk down the aisle, for sure, would be more emotional.
Is that also a lie?
It's the lie.
It's stopped.
It's not a good run.
Mark, when I walked down the aisle this weekend, did you cry?
Yes.
Truthful.
Oh.
See?
But why would you cry loads when your friends are Justin Bieber?
Because.
Oh, have you ever told me I look good in something when you didn't think I did?
No.
You're always quite honest.
Truthful.
So I'm going to say, you always tell me you don't like something.
Are you still a fan of the landing strip?
Yes.
Truthful.
Yay.
Shouts out the landing strip.
Are you happy I'm the only person you'll ever have sex with for the rest of your life?
Yes.
Truthful.
I feel like you're lying, Mark.
I'll show you.
Do you think, oh my God, this is quite, do you think we'll be together forever?
Yes.
Truthful.
Yay.
Kylie Jenner.
All right, that was pretty intense, but I'm pleased to say this.
Now your turn. Mark, take the helm. Okay, we'll start with two baseline questions. Is your name, Melissa?
Yes. Are we in London? Yes. Okay, tell where you can start. Okay, Melissa from London. Do you think you have better taste when it comes to the wedding than I do? Yes.
Solid, truthful. Nice. I'm also glad because you don't clearly fucking, you don't get.
I mean, at certain point. Sometimes in the day. Which one?
one of us will get the most drunk on their stag slash hen.
Ooh.
Melissa or Toby?
I don't...
Me?
Truthful.
Nice.
I'm a sensible guy.
It depends.
That could have been 50-50 if you...
Okay, here we go.
Have you ever bought an item of clothing and lied to me about how much he's cast?
Yes.
You definitely also...
That does not surprise me.
But only by like a couple hundred pounds.
Like, never anything crazy.
Like
A couple hundred pounds
I don't think I've spent a couple hundred pounds
On anything in my life
It's just hashtag gifted
Yeah that is the most annoying thing about your job
Is that you can be like
Oh my God, it's so mental
That Senora on gifted me
A thing arrived
With those Raban outfits
And I was like
It's gifted for the Raban ad
And you were like, it's from Netaportos
It's Raban's place
I sent it back
It wasn't even that nice
Have you ever snooped through my phone
No.
Truthful.
Nice.
Yeah, I try, yeah.
I'll, like, go on your phone to do stuff, but I've never, like, snooped.
Maybe I should after today.
Did you suspect I was going to propose?
Yes.
Fuck.
Truthful.
I've also, you measured my fucking ring-sizer.
If Chad Michael Mari in One Tree Hill approached you for a kiss, would you decline?
would you decline or accept?
Can you ask if it was the young one or the old one?
Oh, no, I would decline.
First lie the day.
I would 100% decline.
No, you would.
I might, I would want to kiss him, but I wouldn't actually do it.
This is the completely opposite reaction to all the other ones you've had.
Really?
Okay, interesting.
Does that mean that my subconscious is like different to my brain?
No, it's like a memory.
It's right there.
when you say no, then it's like instantaneously.
You say no, and your brain is like, yes, would be nice.
Ask me if I've thought about kissing him, because I definitely have.
Have you thought about kissing Chad Michael Mari?
Yeah.
Oh, there's the truth.
Only season one, though, he got really annoying.
Ask me last season of One Tree Hill, did I think about kissing him?
Did you think about kissing Chad Michael Murray in the last season of One Tree Hill?
No.
Truthful.
Hey, look at that.
He didn't age well.
Are you sad about taking my last name?
No.
Truthful.
Oh, nice.
I will be sad for my dad, but I'm not sad for myself.
Melissa Watkins, I think it's quite nice.
Are you happy?
I'm the only person you'll ever have sex with the rest of your life.
Truthful.
She started to go right.
I thought you were going to go like this, and I was like, not Chad again.
Is there anything you wish I was better at?
Yes.
Admin.
That's the truth.
Organising dates and stuff.
Okay, yeah.
And holidays.
Yeah.
And just life so we don't run out of like an MOT on the car
and then I'm stranded in London and shit like that.
That'd be nice, wouldn't it?
It would be nice.
Makes my life so much harder.
Is that the truth?
Yep.
Yeah.
That was good.
I think we're both quite truthful.
Right, curly Jenna.
Bye.
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
Okay.
Is that a dilemma time?
Thank God we can chill out.
Yeah, I'm glad that was good.
It was a good bit of relationship building.
Yeah.
Okay, dilemma one.
Hey, I need some advice because my boyfriend is having a bit of a fashion awakening
and I genuinely love him for that.
He's becoming really interested in clothes and finding his style,
which I fully support.
The problem is that what he thinks looks cool, Artie and Egy
often ends up looking like he's got dressed during a power cut.
every time we go out, he proudly shows me his latest outfit and asks what I think.
Meanwhile, I'm looking at striped trousers, a waistcoat, hiking boots and some sort of hat
that has absolutely no business being involved.
I want to encourage him because I love seeing his confidence grow, but I also don't want to
spend the entire relationship pretending every outfit is a masterpiece when some of them are
genuinely baffling.
She needs to get him on the Lys Touch Test.
And then you need to say, you know.
Outfit sounds wild.
My fear is that if I'm too honest, I'll knock his confidence and he'll stop experimenting
altogether.
Is that a problem?
Yeah, you're going to let him do his thing.
But if I keep telling him he looks amazing, I'm basically becoming an accomplice to fashion
crimes.
How do I support his self-expression whilst gently helping him realize that not every item
in his wardrobe needs to be worn at the same time?
That sounds like an absolute mish-mash.
I know.
But do you say it's striped trousers, hiking boots and a waistcoat and a hat?
Yeah.
That's not a look.
I'm trying to imagine it.
You know what?
It's a tough one in this one because you wouldn't want him telling you what to work.
You wouldn't, but no, but I think it's nice to have a bit of guidance because you might, like some of the stuff that I've worn in the past was had.
Not when you've known me.
That, like, pre.
Yeah, pre.
I was wearing like colorful jumpers, pearl necklaces and like baggy chinos.
It was of the times.
It was more of the times.
It was very 2020.
But looking back, it wasn't good.
Oh God, before we were dating, I've definitely had some fashion favour parts.
Like, loads.
The one you wore to the premiere of the Meg.
The Shark Meg.
This like Zara, it was a full Zara outfit.
Some Zara sandals, a Zara blue and white stripy shirt.
Tucked in with like a big belt.
It wasn't tucked in and there was no belt.
Oh, anyway, it always comes up on Google.
It always comes up on Google.
It's like you next to the Megast.
I don't know why. It's like the one that like gets put to the top.
And it was also pre-jaw Botox.
So my mouth, my face looks like a chintilla.
And I'd also have obviously had dodgy Botox in one eyebrow because one's like this.
Droopy.
It was not a look.
It wasn't not a look.
Yeah, you pulled it off.
That was a bad outfit.
It wasn't like that horrendous.
But you know what?
Looking back on how fashion is now compared to them.
Yeah.
It's bad.
I did have a gold backpack and a man bun at school.
That's quite the look.
But that was because of your proud of year.
That was my only proud luck era, which is a whole separate conversation.
I just thought everything he wore was really cool.
So I was like, okay, he's got a gold backpack.
I'm going to get one.
I had a top knot.
Weird that this has just come out of the blue like this.
Like, I'm not really understood.
Did he dress completely normally before?
And then the sudden is...
It's just really weird.
Like, if you started doing that, I'd be like, no.
You're really kind and patient.
I would not be like that with you.
I'd be like, please stop.
Maybe try and influence his taste.
So it still feels like it's coming from him,
but you should maybe start to flood his Instagram or his Pinterest.
Get the algorithm going with something a bit cooler.
Direct him.
And maybe where he's been looking for fashion inspiration is not the right place.
It sounds like he's been looking at, like, fucking fancy dress shops.
Yeah, it sounds like, I don't know why he's been looking, but I think you've just got it.
He's just trying to have a new sort of identity by the sounds of it.
Maybe he'll fall into his groove.
Also, like, his friends might take the piss and that might help.
Sometimes your friends do need to tell you when you.
He might be like, mate, like, what are you doing?
That's the thing, because I'm all for, I think, number one,
is someone feeling confident, someone feeling themselves, someone being 100% themselves.
You don't want to ever stop that
because that's not a good person
to be in a relationship.
You're right, it's controlling.
I think you've just got to subtly
because also like that is
by the sounds like that's a bad outfit.
That's not just a slightly missing the mark
but quite quirky.
That doesn't sound great at all.
So I think you've just got to influence his style a bit
and be like, oh, when he's getting ready
but maybe like it looks better without the hat
and the hiking boots.
It just seems like hard work.
Someone who has a relaxed style is just
who can put anything on.
It's more relaxing.
to look at.
Yeah.
Who's got a good style?
Jacob Allaudy.
Yeah.
Kendall Jenner.
Fantastic style.
I think if he's going down this path, we need to just, I would just be like, look,
I'm all for the rebrand, but I think maybe we pair it back a little bit just so that
we've gone from zero to 100 and we need to just go.
Slower.
One step at a time.
Otherwise, you're going to look back and be like, why have I done that?
Yeah.
A smidge of constructive criticism.
Yeah.
Sometimes a bit of tough love.
A bit of tough love.
And just a bit of taste.
influencing.
There you go.
Love you so much.
I mean, I think you're a very sort of wonderful girlfriend in the first place.
Even at opening of that, I think you sound like a very lovely person.
Yeah, you do.
And your boyfriend sounds like, it's the fashion awakening is like, do you good.
The way she wrote it was really epic.
It was.
Dynamit 2.
Hey guys, I'm freaking out.
Last month, I broke up with my boyfriend and told him it was because I wasn't
ready for a relationship and needed some time to focus myself.
I may have also mentioned wanting to stay single and practice celibacy for a while
because I thought it would soften the blow.
The problem is that wasn't exactly true.
I'd recently reconnected with someone from my past
who have considered the love of my life
and for the first time ever, the timing was finally right.
A couple weeks after the breakup,
my ex and I had an argument
and he blocked me on everything at the time.
I wasn't too bothered,
but now I found myself in a complete disaster.
I was ordering some very sexy lingerie online
and completely forgot that I'd used his address
loads of times when we were together.
I've only just realized the parcel is being delivered to his house.
and I have absolutely no way of contacting him.
So now a man I broke up with less than a month ago
claiming I needed to be alone and embrace celibacy
is potentially about to receive a package that suggests the exact opposite.
If he opens it, he'll immediately realize I've moved on very quickly
and probably think I was lying the entire time.
Do I just accept my fate and hope he never looks inside
or do I need to prepare myself for the most awkward conversation of my life?
And if so, how and what do I say?
I don't think that he will open it.
it because that's actually against the law to open someone else's post, genuinely.
Will there be any branding on the box?
You just say it's PJs.
A bit lounge.
Dave Adrian Fokateur.
That would be nice.
Boom Avenue.
You've never want me underwear.
Into missa, missa, missa me.
Have you ever bought anyone on the underwear?
I need the slide-to-touch test back.
Actually, you know what? I was forced to buy my ex-girlfriend underwear, Abista Village.
She went, oh, this would look really nice for me. Can you buy it for me?
in the peak of COVID, I had no money
and I'd spend £50 on some
string.
50, great British pounds.
You've never bought me any underwear, so she's doing better than me.
Listen, I don't think he's going to open the post.
I don't think we should overthink this.
Also, like, you're single now.
Yeah, you're single now.
It doesn't really matter.
And also, you could say you're doing it for your own confidence.
You know girls say that they buy underwear for themselves?
Which is true?
Yeah.
Well, there you go.
You know what?
You don't even need to fucking explain yourself
or you should not be opening your post.
And like if it comes to blows, you can be like, look, I had to get rid of all the underwear that I wore when I was with you because it was just too painful to put it back off.
Fuck.
Girls are mentally good at this stuff.
Had to buy some more new chapter.
That's a good PR spin.
Or I would say that you were feeling a bit down after the breakup and therefore needed something to like lift spirits.
Yeah, little pick me up.
Put myself some nice underwear.
Also, can't you just send out one of your mates over to get it?
Yeah, do that.
Or your mum or like, just get someone else to grab that for you.
We don't need to be over explaining that whole situation.
You know where he lives.
You might not have his number.
Someone else will have his number.
Really not a big deal.
Or you just write it off.
Order yourself a new pair to the right address.
Perfect.
That's what I would do.
Consider it collateral, you know?
For some reason, I once bought something for Brani for a shoot,
Brine Deary, not underwear.
I bought, I had to buy her film, like film, like film, Kodak film, right?
And I used the shop at.
And I was getting it delivered to Brine's PA.
Yeah.
And so now whenever I buy something, she gets the automatic email.
Oh my God, that's really, you should change that.
I know I need to, but I keep forgetting it every time I buy something.
I bought like a nervous system healing course and went straight to her, not me.
Oh, bless her.
She has for not a sweet toast.
She said to afford on my like 90 day reset.
Having a tough time in that engagement on bubble.
I should have asked you if it's made you more anxious.
No, it hasn't.
Anyway, Mark's not here anymore, so it doesn't matter.
Okay, right.
We're moving on from that dilemma.
Yeah, I think we really don't worry about this.
Order yourself some new underwear.
If you're really that desperate to get it back, you know what to do.
Just a few more white eyes.
Yeah.
Just to make him feel like less bad about it.
Dilemma three.
Hey guys, I got engaged to my fiancé in November and our lovely friends were amazing,
celebrating us and just being happy as a wider group.
Lovely.
In all the excitement, I asked my friends to be my bridesmaids.
We were part of a trio who were friends.
since university and I am much closer to one of the girls than the other. Time goes on and the two
girls have really drifted from each other. With the one I'm closer to saying she's essentially
wants to cut the other girl out of her life, but she would be civil in group settings. The more I think
about it, the more I think I want to cut this front out in my life too and my wedding. She has been really
flaky this year, taking days, if not weeks to her apply to us just counselling plans last minute.
and I think I have drifted from her as a person in terms of what we value and who we are.
In all honesty, she has become quite strange and isn't someone I want to be getting ready with at my wedding day.
What do I do?
Am I a terrible person to tell her I don't want her as a bridesmaid?
We are getting married in summer, 27, so I'm feeling pressure to make the decision.
Lots of love anonymous.
This is really quite stressful.
2027, right?
Oh, you've got ages.
This friendship could turn back around.
Oh God. We've really changed out.
We've got a year. So listen, I would give it another four months when it's approaching wintertime and you're about to send out your invites.
I would maybe just message her and be like, hey, I hope you're well.
Like, I don't know if you feel the same, but I really feel that we've drifted a lot.
How can you word it that's not offensive?
We've drifted a lot.
My priorities have changed a lot since planning my wedding and I'm going to be reducing my.
wedding party so I'm only going to be having ex-mat of ridesmaids and I'd love for you to
obviously would still love for you to be there as a guest oh but you don't even want her at your
wedding you know what you could just not send her the invite my brother my brother had that
my brother was an usher at a wedding and then him and the guy like kind of just drifted apart
james's message him like hey mate just checking there's anything you need me to do for like
usher duties etc and he was just like nah mate you're all good
You're all good.
Don't worry, mate.
Everyone else got bought like an usher's suit.
Yeah.
And James didn't get bought on.
He was like, okay, I am not an usher anymore.
But like just.
But like that was a mutual thing.
They were both an agreement of like, fair enough.
We're still really good.
You know, we're still friends.
But like we're not ushers to each other anymore.
You know, just, you need to tell someone though.
But you're going to have to hide behind the WhatsApp.
You're going to have to hide behind the phone.
Send her a message and be like, I really, I don't know if you feel the same.
But I feel quite strongly that we have drifted.
And I only want people at my wedding that I'm,
really close to. I feel like it's mutual that this friendship is no longer. Obviously, wishing you
all the best. If you want to chat, let me know. No, because she... Circle back on Monday.
You need to, like, just leave it, like, just cut off. So she almost can't say anything.
I think you just have to rip the band-aid off and go, I'm really sorry. I think I don't feel like
our friendship is where it was when I originally sent the invites out. And we're really restricted
numbers and I therefore...
I don't think having you at the wedding will be possible.
I'm afraid we're not going to be able to have you at the wedding anymore.
I'm not sure if you feel the same way, but I just feel like, yeah, our friendship's not
the same place that it was.
She'll probably be quite relieved.
Like, if she's not applying to you for weeks on end, she doesn't want the friendship.
And you also then just finish it by saying like this, this isn't, I hope this doesn't
cause any animosity and this is not meant to come across in a bitchy or mean way.
I just need to be really, you know, this is one big day in my life and I need to be really...
And we're really close on number.
Yeah.
And I need to be really selfish.
Me and my partner.
Me and my partner.
I could just blame it all on the boyfriend
be like he's got a problem with you.
No.
Scapegoat.
If you want to speak to him,
here's his number.
I think that this is your wedding day
and like I wouldn't let this stress you out too much.
The sooner that you like send this message
and like get that out of the way,
your anxiety will go down.
Yeah, 100%.
Also like if you have drifted from this girl
and like people want to cut her out,
I don't think that you should necessarily
just follow.
suit unless you truly feel like that yourself.
Yeah, that's it.
Don't just get influenced by your friends for anyone for sure.
Yeah.
Like sending you lots of love.
And also just now looking forward to like planning your wedding and stuff because
it is quite fun.
Bye guys.
That's the end of the episode.
