Melissa, are you a doctor? I want to be, but I'm not. I'm not a doctor either. And we're
not psychologists. We're not. We're not experts'm not a doctor either and we're not psychologists and
we're not experts in anything in fact we just chatted all the shit so and we love giving you
guys advice but as we love giving you guys advice do not take what we're saying as gospel if you do
feel like you need to speak to somebody please seek professional help
hey guys Hey, guys!
Okay, so this is obviously so special because this is our first ever live episode.
It's our first ever live episode.
And obviously we're here with Hourglass Cosmetics
in Space NK, which is a huge honour
and we're just so excited.
This is just very cool for us.
Slash kind of nerve-wracking because it's live.
Very nervous.
I've never been this close to so many people.
No, I have.
That's a really weird thing to say.
I know what you mean.
It feels really intimate, but we're so grateful you guys came.
We hope you enjoy it.
Yeah.
And we will be diving into all things beauty.
We're going to be showing you the new Hourglass Unreal Liquid Blush, which we both got on
and we're obsessed with.
And if you haven't tried,
you need to try. And for those listening who are not here with us, head over to our Instagram page because Melissa is going to demonstrate it on her lovely cheeks. And you can see it all on there.
And you can see the whole process. So let's get started.
Makeup evolution. So this is something that we've probably touched on a few times but we want to
talk through our journey with makeup i feel like we've all probably started in the same place with
the old foundation lips i don't know if any of you guys concealer lips crusty concealer lips i'm not
sure why we ever did that but we just did neither do i and there was no definition no like blush and nothing else just foundation everywhere no contouring i think i was about 24 when i started
using blusher same like dangerously late in the gate dangerously late i also made a real rookie
error i don't know if any of you guys have done this but i had like one eyebrow on my eye like
one hair oh one hair along the whole lie yes Yes. Because I just plucked, plucked, plucked away.
When I first met you, I think they were thinner as well.
Oh boy, they were.
They were really thin.
You know, that was an issue for me.
That was an issue for me.
But we grow and we evolve and we learn. I feel like social media really helped us to evolve into our makeup looks and understand what looks good.
I mean, my makeup, even the last year, has changed so much.
But you know what Melissa taught me,
which everyone probably
has already done for years,
but she's taught me
to put the eyeliner
in the waterline.
Waterline?
What?
Who knew?
So like,
when we first wore makeup,
that's all I used to do.
I would just put eyeliner on
and foundation lips.
No mascara,
nothing else.
And I never stopped
putting eyeliner
in the waterline.
I've just never stopped doing it.
For a while,
we did white in there.
Do you remember that?
Can I just say, I always see you poking your eye with an eyeliner,
and it's always blonde.
And I literally look at you and I think, but why?
It does scratch a little bit.
I need to give it a sharpen.
I know.
For me, I've definitely gone into a more wanting my skin to look youthful,
wanting my skin to look dewy, wanting my skin to look like skin.
Yes, and also i think choosing
better quality products with like better ingredients i feel like now we look out for
that and it's more important and i feel like everyone understands that a bit more as well
which is great yeah and we want our skin to look like skin which is why i'm sure all of you have
used the hourglass ale hydrating skin tint any of you guys use it it's unbelievable we're obsessed
i feel like i actually first saw
i think alex are using it like everyone is using it and it's like no makeup makeup vibe i also feel
like that's something that people are really showing and sharing their tips and tricks on
exactly and this also has hyaluronic acid in it's got good ingredients so you can just wear it all
throughout the day in your glass skin you've got glassy skin and you're not drying your skin out
which is where sort of this like no makeup skin and you're not drying your skin out which is where
sort of this like
no makeup makeup
yeah
rehydrating the skin
whilst wearing makeup
it's just a win win around
it totally is
but I will say
there is a time and a place
for having like a full
face of glam
oh absolutely
kind of right now
no
I think so
I would say we're like
we are
I feel like skin wise
I've actually only done this
a bit of that concealer
and then the blush
okay so we're gonna go back onto our makeup tips later but should we talk about some of our summer We are. I feel like skin-wise, I've actually only done this, a bit of that concealer, and then the blush.
Okay, so we're going to go back onto our makeup tips later,
but should we talk about some of our summer celebrity icons and whose sort of makeup trends and looks and things we're loving this year?
Things we're loving.
So, Dua Lipa is first on our list.
Who here is a fan of Dua Lipa?
Woo!
Yeah.
She's kind of giving that, like, grungy vibe.
She's giving sexy, like, grungy vibe. She's giving sexy, like, grungy girl.
And we try our best to, like, be like that.
Yeah, hence the eyeliner.
But also, I would say that she's very dark eyeliner.
The tassels at Glastonbury, especially, she really, like, brought that side out of her, which I really liked, actually.
I agree.
You like to have your hair done, but you struggle to do it by yourself.
Totally.
That's what it is.
So I'm thinking this is like grungy hair.
Yeah, so we go with the undone grungy hair vibe.
So do us our inspo with that, isn't she?
She is.
And I also am loving Hailey Bieber.
Oh, God, obviously.
Who isn't?
She's looking so beautiful, pregnant.
Glowy, that pregnancy glow.
It just sort of enhances her natural she's just
like i don't think i've ever seen her look more beautiful i'm like gosh i know her complexion is
unbelievable i feel like she really helped us all get to a place where we were like okay less is
maybe more with the skin makeup she is obsessed with hourglass veil hydrating skin tint she uses
it every time she puts on makeup have you seen seen that trend where it's like, no makeup, no makeup, makeup, makeup, and then makeup, makeup?
That's really confusing.
Well, my mind is blown.
Makeup, no makeup, makeup, makeup.
Yeah, so it's like, okay, so my no makeup makeup would be the Veil Hydrating Skin Tint and the blush.
But then if my normal makeup would probably be the Veil Blush, some mascara, lip liner.
If I was really going to town, it would be eyeliner, probably a lot more bronzer, maybe
contour, etc.
Love it.
You see?
There's like four stages.
Okay.
I'm with you.
I'm makeup, makeup, makeup tonight.
That's what I'm going for.
Same, same, same.
But she definitely just gives complexion.
That's her main...
And she's always summery vibes too.
Has anyone tried the painting on the freckles?
I did that for a bit.
I loved it on you.
Maybe I should bring that back.
I was too nervous to do that.
Okay,
celebrity number three.
We've got Talami Benson.
She is dating Melissa's favourite.
What's his name?
Saka.
I don't know anything about football.
I just really like Saka.
I know that he cried last year.
Yes.
What other fun facts do we know about Saka?
I feel like he scored recently.
Saka's well loved.
He's just so sweet.
He's a big dog.
I need to stop talking because I'm embarrassing myself at Halloway.
We know that Drew Bellingham is...
Oh, stop talking.
Anyway, he's a footballer.
That's all we know.
And she is obviously a wag.
And the wags are coming back.
We are obsessed.
I'm obsessed with the wag fight. Ben, our producer, predicted wags were coming back. We are obsessed. I'm obsessed with the wag.
Ben, our producer, predicted wags were coming back this summer and boy, was he right.
It's a real trend.
It's a real trend.
These are the wags of our generation because actually Victoria Beckham and who was your
favourite wag?
Cheryl Cole was a wag.
Who was your favourite wag?
Probably Cheryl Cole.
I didn't really, if I'm honest with you, know anything about football back then when it
was that serious, iconic David Beckham vibe.
I'm not really a football fan.
But you must have known about the Wags.
They were the biggest celebrities.
I knew about VB and I knew about Cheryl.
What about Abby Kelsey?
Oh gosh, you're right.
I did know about Abby Kelsey.
Who else is there?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
She's also one of my favourites and I actually really just love her still to this day.
They're just icons, really.
Yeah, they are.
So anyway, we're loving Talami,
also Drew Bellingham's girlfriend.
I'm not sure if they've announced it,
but she is really stunning.
Oh my gosh.
I can't remember what she's called, but wow.
Okay, so...
She's wow.
She is, he is done alright.
Okay, celebrity number four.
Okay, Emily Rapp.
She has this chopped bob hair vibe she's inspired me quite a
lot with the hair i did the fringe because of emily rat you give me em rat vibes which is thanks
that's what i'm going for no i did i mean she inspired me to cut the fringe and i was saying
to sophie earlier she's very experimental with her brown eyes and her like makeup her eye makeup so
i always try to like use her as a bit of inspiration.
I'm like, ooh, she's putting a bit of reddy brown eyeliner.
Or she's trying a blue eyeshadow.
So I'll give that a go.
Yeah, because Melissa was saying it's useful.
Because we both have brown eyes.
It's really useful to see a celebrity who's got brown eyes.
What colours match with theirs?
Because someone who has green eyes, maybe oranges and tans would look good.
The colour palette thing is, like, going around at the moment,
so I'm like, oh, OK, if it looks good on that person,
maybe that would look good on me.
It's all about experimenting.
I can get in a rut with my make-up,
and I will just use the same...
Preach of habit, yeah.
Preach of habit, and she's quite good at that,
because you see, and you're like,
oh, the thick liquid liner, or, like...
Yes.
In the water, it ducks with the liner i like it when she
she goes from wearing like zero makeup at all and then she'll go on a night out and she will do a
lot of eyeliner and like well really you'll see a difference in like the way she looks which i
quite like she's no makeup to makeup times 100 yes and it looks it looks great yeah i like she's
not shy to you know would you chop your hair. Would you chop your hair off? Would you go into a bob? I think the shortest I would ever go is, like, my collarbone.
I don't know if I'd...
I did a BB bun.
I had an app where I, like, did it like this,
and it made me look 12 and, like, 40 at the same time.
It was really strange.
Wow.
I don't think I'll be doing that.
I don't think I would, too,
just because I'm so scared of the regrowth,
but, however, I'm so tempted.
I have one girl saved on my Instagram.
I constantly refresh her.
Because she's got a bob and it's like the same colour as mine.
And I'm like, oh.
And you're like, oh, it looks great on her.
It must look great on me.
I agree.
And I love short hair.
I'm just not brave enough to do it.
It's because when you want to tie it up and you're done with it being short,
you can't necessarily do that.
My friend has a bob and she's like, that's the annoying part.
Maybe one day. One day. I'd never say never never say never speaking of fringes though Sabrina Carpenter
celebrity number five the queen of fringes also the queen of blush the queen of blush she's having
a moment this summer oh my god where has she come from boom here she's here I know Jamie my husband
met her and Melissa sent me I sent her the video like why does Jamie look so
he's just flapping about
because she's Sabrina Carpenter
I was like I would flap too
I also saw how flapping he was and then you had to draw attention
to it and I was like I know
he's obviously having a panic attack to meet Sabrina Carpenter
trying to ignore it
oh god
but she's stunning she wears so much blush and we love her
we were saying she kind of looks like
she's actually like a fairy.
Like there's just
bits of sparkles
all around her
and the way she does
her makeup is like that.
So she does like,
she mixes blush colours,
doesn't she?
We were saying earlier
with everyone here
before you guys came,
you can't really choose
the wrong colour
with a blush.
Yeah, it just depends
on what your mood is.
It depends on what
colour you prefer.
Sabrina goes for
a sunset vibe, which is nice.
You just get creative with it.
Yeah, just whack them all on.
So Sabrina Carpenter is proof that blush is the biggest trend for 2024.
She's our blush girl.
She's brought it back.
It's blush girl summer.
Oh, I like it.
And Hourglass has the drop of the year right now we're gonna do the unreal
liquid blush demo this is when you should watch on the instagram i'm gonna put on the color
moment we love a moment this we love my friend is a moment okay so shake that shake it all about
shake it off okay okay and you only need one drop. As we were saying,
it's like so pigmented, which is incredible. And it really is like glassy second skin when
it goes on. So you just push the cap in at the top. Yeah. And it curls. Okay. Right.
I like to do my blush like higher up, which is I think what your sister taught me to do.
So I just go like almost above my cheek and then like blend it up. Oh my God. This is
so corally I'm
not sure if you guys can actually see from where you are what I love about it is that you don't
have to put loads on to get the color you put the tiniest bit on and it's just there we were saying
earlier I've had it before I've like layered layered layered and I'm like oh my gosh it's
like thick blush but it's like not much color on my cheeks yes it's like waxy whereas this yes
the consistency is really hard it's literally just like I can't describe it it's like hyaluronic acid but tinted and then I always put it on my nose
but I like to look a little bit like more sunburned but like in a nice way like in a cute
way you know like you've just come out of the sun and there you go stunning how do I look
that actually looks unbelievable I want to put that one on too i think that's my favorite
should i do it or yeah okay what color shall i do something completely different
maybe i'll do future oh you're very bright love that okay so shake shake shake this is the hour
glass 15 brush it's unbelievable and it's specifically been made for this unreal blush
and it's next level it's actually unreal i use it for like my
highlights as well and everything just because you'll see you'll just see the magic wow it's
very much so i would say glass skin in the bottle and it really just ties the whole makeup look
together i could not go out with that blush on now which is so well because honestly i don't
think i wore it i didn't put it on my face until about two years ago.
I know.
What were we doing?
Terrible business really.
I don't know.
So we're going to play
a little game.
What's the game called?
Feeling the blush.
Whoa.
And you guys have to
interact with us on this.
We've got some different scenarios
sent in from our tinies,
who are our listeners to our podcast,
and we're going to say if they make us blush or not.
And you guys put your hand up if they make you blush,
or just don't if you don't fancy getting involved.
We're not pressurising you.
Okay, so somebody deciding to serenade you in a romantic song.
Blush.
Yeah, I think that would make me blush.
Also it.
It cringed me out a bit.
Yeah.
Has Jamie ever serenaded you?
Many a time.
With what?
Guitar?
No, not with a guitar,
but just sing, sing, sing.
Oh, do you have to not have a guitar
to serenade someone?
I think you could just sing.
Wow, this is news to me.
I would much prefer...
He gets out like a little ukulele or something.
That is something he would do.
That is something he would do.
No, he got...
Have you not heard it?
He got somebody to write like a country music song.
Has Toby never serenaded you?
No.
Oh, no, he's in here tonight.
I do.
Maybe he'll do it.
I do get serenaded.
He goes, what do you mean?
That's it.
What?
Every day.
Whoa, I need to dive into that. So every day, Toby goes to you. What do you mean? That's it. What? Every day. Whoa, I need to dive into that.
So every day, Toby goes to you.
What do you mean?
He does his own rendition of a Justin Bieber song.
It's really good.
Sorry to shout you out.
I can see him hiding behind people now.
Okay, right.
You walk through a restaurant,
and they touch your lower back to guide you to your table.
That's quite hot stuff.
I'm going to say it's going to make me blush. I love that.
I quite like that. I'm sorry, but
you don't have to love it, but I'm going to say
I love it. I love that.
Obviously, if you know them. If you don't know them,
I'm like, get off. Oh, I was thinking
the waiter guiding you, and I was like,
still love it. Is that weird?
No, okay, I don't love it. Take that back.
Take that back. Right, okay, someone knows you
and they're putting their hand on your lower back.
Yeah, Jamie, lovely.
Your husband could do it to you.
That would be nice.
But like, if you did it to me, I wouldn't mind it either.
No, quite not.
I'm not against it.
Okay, right, next one.
Being welcome receiving a spicy text from your partner.
Okay, let's think, you know, they're sending them out.
They want to...
I don't think it would make me blush
because it's more private, if I'm being honest.
Watching that kind of scene with your parents in the same room.
I think you...
Blush, yeah.
That's unbearable.
Blush in the really wrong way, like, I want to just...
You know?
I would say the worst is when it's just you and your dad alone.
Oh, stop!
Like, that... Who's watching that kind of a movie? I would just, like, by mistake, like, it's just you and your dad alone oh like that who's watching that kind of a movie
like it's just come on and i've literally been like i don't know what to do oh can we dive
when you first started to watch james bond when it was christmas time and i was quite young and i
was like oh even a kiss yeah anything it's just it'sxpectedly bumping into an old fling in public.
Not great, is it?
Not great, but I don't think it would make me blush.
I'd be like, oh, I'd walk the other way.
I know you would.
Would you not?
No, I would too.
You'd be like, come in for a hug.
Touch my back.
No, I would blush.
I find meeting people from your past in general,
like even like a school friend sometimes.
I know, it's always a bit awkward.
I'm always taken off guard.
To be honest, meeting anyone I know in public
when I'm not meant to meet them, I always blush.
I know, to catch you off guard, you'd rather just be like,
oof, maybe in red.
I don't know what's wrong with me.
I know, I'm the same.
That's the end of our game.
Oh my God, that game was so fun.
I'm ready for more from that.

okay guys we're gonna read some dilemmas now this is what we do in our podcast but tonight we're
gonna base them around skin around beauty around makeup and we've been written in some very nice
ones from our tiny so i'll read the first one hi ladies over the past few years i've been stuck in
an awful battle with my skin i've been suffering with really bad acne which ruined my confidence
after following instructions from my doctor i'm now at the other side of a new appreciation for my skin.
But because of my acne and treatment, I've been a bare-faced babe.
And now I feel more confident to reintroduce it in my routine.
Do you have any tips or products or tricks which give you the natural beauty look without having to go overboard?
I like the bare-faced babe.
Bare-faced babe.
That's lovely no one is
looking at your skin and i personally had bad issues with my skin i've had spots i've had loads
of breakouts and i think it's really easy when you're in that situation to think everyone's
staring at your spots and your skin and then never are like i've never looked at someone
and seen a spot ever and you've got to just think that no one is for you and I think
the more you start to like love yourself it really is all about that and I know it's easier said than
done and we're both still on that journey but you really do have to try and love yourself from within
and you know not try and like cover up too much because I think sometimes that's in a vicious
circle yeah exactly you can almost like attract more attention by trying to like layer layer layer and like mask and ways that we always
say that are good and doing this and like gaining that self-love and confidence is gratitudes and
saying five things you love about yourself and it sounds really silly but like looking in the mirror
and saying you love yourself or another good trick candle jenna did this she printed off a
picture of her when she was like five years old she stuck it on the mirror and then every time
she looked at the mirror and she was going to say something mean about herself she was like i
wouldn't it's that five-year-old so why would i say it to me yeah so that's
yeah yeah so try that one um but no i I think that is really important. And we're all still, it's so easy to set them down.
Totally.
I think, start with the basics.
I wouldn't like overwhelm the skin.
I don't think it's too intense to go in with the hourglass eyeliner that we both got on.
Yeah, I'm so happy that you're on the eyeliner train.
Soph never used to wear eyeliner at all.
No, I didn't.
You would just do mascara on the top and then a little...
Yes.
And that was it.
Nothing on the bottom.
And it still looks...
It's just a different look.
I think this is just a bit more smudgy and like smoldery, grungy, whatever you want to
call it.
Do a lipa, guys.
Do a lipa.
So look, if you want to do a lipa, get the eyeliner on.
I also think you can then transition your makeup look, right?
So if you were going out, you'd just then put eyeliner on with your mascara.
It completely makes everything look so different.
Also, how important is mascara to you, just out of interest?
Do you have a bad day if your mascara doesn't go well?
Because I do.
No, you've always had that day.
Honestly, if the mascara doesn't go right, I have such a bad day.
Ever since I've known you, this has been the situation.
It's so pathetic.
I have to curl them, and if they're not right not right I get really upset and then no one else gets it
no I'll explain what goes wrong for me eyeliner she's been non-stop complaining she's like does
it not make your eyes really water and I'm like no I think I'm doing it wrong you need maybe it's
not for you I also feel like if you wanted to just, a tint on your lips,
but you don't want to do like the lip liner route,
because sometimes that can feel too much.
Like I get that.
I agree.
So the glossy balm is really good,
because it has a tint in it,
and it honestly makes your lips look so glossy.
Like there's,
it almost looks like there's just like,
a pond of water on there,
that's just like so yummy.
Supple.
I can't describe,
it's just so gorgeous,
and it lasts so well.
And it's quite like minty as well.
So, you know, quite nice for...
Dating.
Yeah.
Who knows?
Okay, dilemma two.
Hey, Sophie and Melissa.
Male tiny here needing some secret advice.
We don't get these much, so this is really exciting for us.
I work long hours and because of this, I feel like I always look tired with big dark circles under my eyes they make me feel self-conscious and no
matter how much sleep I try and get at the weekend they never seem to disappear do you have any
recommendations for combating them thanks okay I think it's nothing wrong with wearing makeup if
you're a guy I would just wear makeup I Well, obviously there are those things like drink more water, eat healthier,
like particularly with dark eyes and skin.
But then I do feel like sometimes no matter what people do, they're like,
it's genetics.
And I just think you're so right.
Like, why should we be able to wear makeup and boys, you know,
can't go and put concealer on?
I do feel sorry for boys sometimes with that.
Doesn't Jamie wear a bit of bronzer?
Bronzer?
My husband, he is going to love me. Yeah, he wear a bit of bronzer bronzer my husband he is going to love me
yeah he loves a bit of bronzer don't worry about it he's not very good at it because he does it
on his own because he just pretends he's not wearing it i like catch him upstairs and he
literally will not go past his face so the neck is white and then the face is very orange. But when I do it for him,
he looks great.
He just needs some practice.
But Toby's a model.
He must have worn
makeup loads of times.
He has foundation
the whole thing.
Not that he does it himself,
but he's like had it on
and like this,
he comes home
and then we'll go out
for dinner
and he would have like
still had the makeup
on from the photo shoot.
I'm like,
yeah,
cool.
You look great.
Gorgeous.
They look phenomenal.
Well,
obviously any sort of like
celebrity men who were
going on a red carpet they're caked in it they're literally caked in it so why on earth i do
understand that you don't want to look like you're wearing makeup i do understand that i think if
you've tried all the like obvious things like the eye creams whatever i would just try a tiny bit
of that concealer the airbrush concealer it's so light you won't see it and then
just see how you go and literally the tiniest bit on your finger like warm it up and then like
really blend it in yeah like dab it yeah to your eyes and like i like it under my under eyes and
that's not even for like covering up that's just for dark shadows or whatever it can just lighten
or brighten your face and you can use it you know just in areas where you've got redness or like discoloration yeah and
make sure you go in to space and k or get your color match get the color match because you don't
want to be going too pale under there or anything or too dark and then that won't look good will it
i agree you like concealer for bags but you love like an eye mask you love that ice thing yeah
ice rollers for de-puffing the under eyes i just
like taking all of those things for more of like a therapeutic thing a ritual yeah a ritual thing
i get puffy under eyes so for me it's the opposite problem it's no matter how much concealer i'm
putting on there like it's not going to look any different because they're still puffy i love so
my trick is more mascara to detract from the fact that there's a puffy under eye so i would choose
mascara over concealer.
I'm sorry, I just don't think the cucumbers on your eyes
are really going to do anything.
No, that's not going to work.
They're probably going to make you, like,
have 10 minutes of, like, relaxation
because anything on top of your eyes, I'm like,
very zen.
Exactly.
Eyemask, eyemasks.
As in, like, actual sleeping silk masks.
Unbelievable.
Oh, yes, but I find...
I sleep so well.
It hurts my eyelashes sometimes
and then I actually find that I take them off
You've got to get the one with them off in the middle of the night
It's next level
That actually
To our fellow tiny
Eye mask as well but these things will really help
If you're struggling to sleep always get an eye mask
Dilemma three
Hey girls I've been loving all the photos
From the weddings you've been to this summer
I've always struggled with sweating my makeup off
Especially in summer and I'm going to my best friend's wedding in malta in a few weeks time and i'm
panicking that all my makeup will run and i don't want that to happen and i especially don't want a
sula sweaty up there's nothing worse than a sula i know we all get them every now and then when you
dab it it's like a waterfall it just stops it just keeps coming also when I've bronzed up my face so much and then I get a suit
and I wipe
it's just white
across my top layer
and I'm like
oh no
what am I going to do
do you not remember
you watched me
putting bronzer
just here
and you were like
why are you putting bronzer
and I'm like
because I've sweated off
everywhere else
I do remember
so do I go for
a no makeup look
or have you got
any suggestions
for keeping my makeup
in a place
all day and all night
the last thing I want is to look like I have a melting face we do have tricks for this lots you especially
are excellent when you were a bridesmaid at that last wedding and i was like your makeup hasn't
moved an inch and you were like it's i did feel like i could crack my face when i moved it was
that it didn't look like it to me though okay to me it looked flawless my tricks
primer do your makeup as normal like melissa mentioned this earlier go lighter with your
makeup don't go as heavy yeah and then i went in with this i get it in medium it's vanish airbrush
powder you blot blot blot on the lips and all the places like corners of your nose a little bit on
your t-zone a bit here the places you don't want to shine under your eyes not on
the highlighting areas if that made any sense yeah you left them free that's why it looked so good i
think because you didn't put it everywhere it really smooths out any lines any oil like all
the i also feel like it blurs your pores 100 like when i get sweaty like i look like i've got more
pores and like my makeup's like gone into them but then when i do that it like disappears it's
unbelievable so nice so that
would be my trick for that for sure absolutely and then this is the key you get the setting spray
and you spray your face till it's dripping and you just let it dry it can I ask a question have
you got mascara on when you do that yeah it doesn't run it doesn't run the mascara some people do
though I think my mascara just doesn't tend to fine me but I do think perhaps do it before you
do mascara that's a really good point because you don't want to get your eye makeup too wet
mind you I guess it would lock it in actually yeah you're so right because mascara in the sweat
does sort of like yeah yeah yeah okay never a good look no that happens to me all the time
I used to get very very very very shiny I think I must have been doing something strange for my
skincare because if my skin was you're not like that anymore i know i was a really oily girl i had very oily skin
it's definitely decreased as my older age i think you've changed something with your skincare i
think i was having too many visuals overstimulating overstimulating the skin so yeah also that's also
really key make sure your prep's really good like don't dry your skin out too much but don't over oil your skin right yes I think also just keeping it more simple
when it's hot it's just better like there's just less to come off like ultimately if it's boiling
hot it's gonna move in any way no matter what you do a little bit so if you keep it to a minimum
you're always going to be better I think and then you can top up throughout the night. So when the sun's gone down,
knit back to the low.
Yeah.
You know, zhuzh up.
What do you think the key wedding look is
for guests at weddings this summer, Melissa?
I wouldn't try and make yourself look too different for a start.
Me too.
I would keep to, like, your normal vibe,
but I would maybe do the Sabrina Carpenter blush vibe.
I just think it's so fun.
The corally, pinky cheeks.
I just love so much.
Me too.
So I think that's quite nice in a summer wedding vibe.
And then a waterproof mascara.
Maybe you're going to cry is always quite a good tip.
And waterproof eyeliner, which theirs is.
Our glasses.
So I would just stick with those.
And always have lip balm.
Because there's lots of drinking.
There's lots of talking to people.
You don't want to be dry.
Grima, as we called it around the mouth.
Grima.
Which is like, you know, like when you're talking nose and there's like a bit of white.
That just gets there.
Around the corners of the lip.
That is just like nothing.
But if you're moisturised, it doesn't happen.
That won't happen.
Also, if you drink lots of water, that's a dehydration thing, I think.
I know, totally.
But it happens to people at weddings.
Of course, because you're taught.
And also, I think it's quite an emotional thing so you probably get
a bit of dry mouth i don't know yeah social anxiety it's a thing also just get yourself a nice fan
oh my god great and just you know get all get like the what is it called like people give you
like a little pamphlet when you go to a wedding and just fan fan just fan away also sometimes
people give you fans at weddings.
That really helps.
And they're really fun when you're dancing and you don't know what to do with your arms.
Have a fan.
Yeah, if you're awkward.
It just gives you something to do.
You never know what to do with your hands.
Nothing worse than having nothing in your hands
to hold when you're awkward
and you're just flapping.
Flapping.
That's Jamie flapping away.
So fan away.
Is that the end of that yeah that's it
