We're talking about what Melissa wants to achieve in her 28th year of life.
Starting point is 00:01:08 And it's also going to be our Christmas special. So we're going to be doing some Secret Santa presents for each other. Some cool like Christmassy stories. Merry Christmas. And enjoy the episode. to you happy birthday oh my god i'm so excited Happy birthday to you. Hip hip hooray. Hip hip hooray.
Starting point is 00:01:49 I'm one for that. Hip hip hooray. All right. Melissa, this is from? Your favorite bakery ever. Whee! Gluten free, dairy free. Yes. Oh my God, thank you guys so much.
Starting point is 00:02:00 This is by someone called Keto Bee. Love you. Cheers. Cheers. This is my dream cake. And I also haven't had a birthday cake in so long. Okay, so I'm Bee. Love you. Cheers. Cheers. This is my dream cake. And I also haven't had a birthday cake in so long. Okay, so I'm going to ask you some questions. Now you've turned 28.
Starting point is 00:02:10 What is your, as Jamie would say, your BHAG, which is a big, hairy, audacious goal. And it can be something like being on the cover of Vogue. Like Jamie says. Yeah, right. I don't know if I can say it, but to host the Oscars. For life? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:24 What's your biggest dream just to be happy and successful I guess no because that's not big and hairy be brief this is like
Starting point is 00:02:31 something that's slightly out of reach I want to be on the cover of Vogue because that's why I just decided mine is going to be I think it's 10 out of 10
Starting point is 00:02:38 do it with me attend the Met Gala oh my god 10 out of 10 great one that would be a huge achievement take me there any day no one will care that I'm there I just can't wait Do it with me. Attend the Met Gala. Oh my God. Be invited to the Met Gala. Great one. That would be a huge achievement. Take me there any day. No one will care that I'm there.
Starting point is 00:02:49 I just can't wait to look at everyone else. Also, that's quite sick. No, okay. So are you going as a somebody and to like have a moment? Or are you going as like a passerby just to watch Haley Bieber in all of her glory? I'm going as someone. I'm having my moment. So there you go.
Starting point is 00:03:00 So the pressure's on. Okay. I'm ready, bitch. Okay. Sorry, I can't get over this cake. Nor me. What the actual hell? Keto bean.
Starting point is 00:03:11 Tan tan. Okay, second question. Yeah. What is your biggest goal for 28? I know this sounds really basic. I would like to be a bit more mature in the way that I lead my life and like live in my own home and I know that sounds really like weird not mature that's the wrong word I just want to feel more like organized and stuff like in myself I'm quite a disorganized scatty person I'll get back
Starting point is 00:03:39 from holiday and I will happily leave my suitcase unpacked in my room for three weeks and just walk around the mess me too it's just not a great way of living and then my whole life becomes a little bit unorganized and then I feel bad about myself so growth already I unpacked my suitcase yesterday the moment I got back that's a lot of growth for me because I've just come back from K-Town how good do you feel about it I feel really good and I've got washing piles like all set out and then I feel like I have more of a productive day because I just feel more organized in myself I feel like the small habits whatever you call them like are just really important I feel like yeah I need to focus on that and also I have to share my space with a boy so wait has he moved it no but in the new year
Starting point is 00:04:17 he will be so I have to start setting sort of standards for myself and areas of like you know and also he's a tidy freak so not tidy freak but like likes things to organize doesn't like the way I live and like I have to kind of be welcome to my world you're gonna see it's actually quite a lot it's almost makes me feel like I'm a dirty person I know you're the one who's weird like I'm okay having my cks for a week just relax you know I'm okay with my like on the side of that like I'm fine with it he's like no no it has to all be away I know it's good because it will force you to do those little things like it has slowly by slowly by slowly it has made me much more better better organized
Starting point is 00:04:59 what's been your favorite thing about being 27 I feel like I know myself so much better and I'm way more confident in myself and I'm not trying to be anything else I'm just really relaxing into being me which is a really great feeling and me and Jemima were actually talking about this a few weeks ago the late 20s is actually like a really lovely age because you're not young and like as naive as you are in your early 20s you're really getting to like as naive as you are in your early 20s you're really getting to know yourself more and you're approaching your 30s which can also be scary but like it's actually a really fun age your late 20s and I think there can be a weird pressure because it's like oh people are settling down and people have people people are getting
Starting point is 00:05:39 married or whatever but then on the other side you're like I'm actually so comfortable with who I am I think every year I get older I just become more like happy with myself weirdly that's so lovely even though there is obviously like oh my god I'm getting older but I'm like I actually kind of prefer it like I was more uncomfortable in my skin when I was 20 I'm like I'm also like Jesus Christ I didn't know anything about myself. It's really weird. Me too. Like your intuition, you just speak to yourself
Starting point is 00:06:07 more when you're this age, when you're older. I think that's so nice. I think it's also quite rare to know it at 27. But I might not, but I just feel like I do in this moment.
Starting point is 00:06:16 I might look back at 29 and be like, oh, 27, I didn't know anything. But right now I actually feel I'm so happy with my life every day. And I'm, you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:06:25 Like, I look forward to like. That's so lovely. I look forward to the mornings and like, I just, yeah, I'm just a very content person right now. Excited for the next day is always a great place to be. Yeah, I'm always excited for the next day. I'm really just happy with where I am. I'm cushy. But I do feel like I need to push myself a little bit more.
Starting point is 00:06:41 I stay in the comfort zone, which maybe isn't leaving much room for growth so maybe that's something I should work on. Okay so for 28, you're now 28? I'm now 28. God you're still so young. I'm two years younger than you. I know but why does it feel so much younger? Like when I was 27. You were getting married when you were my age so you had to grow up a lot faster I guess
Starting point is 00:07:01 in a sense. Were you married at my age? I was now. No not quite. No I was in a sense. Were you married at my age? No, not quite. No, I was in a couple of months. You would be getting married in May. Yeah. Would you be ready? No. Maybe the year after.
Starting point is 00:07:14 It was a long... I was like a child bride. Maybe the year after. Ready for a diamond any day of the week. Give me diamonds non-stop. Absolutely. Maybe the year after I would feel a little bit more like... Is that something that we're hoping for 28? A diamond? We're hoping 28 brings lots of diamonds. stop. Maybe the year after I would feel a little bit more like. Is that something that we're hoping for 28?
Starting point is 00:07:26 A diamond. We're hoping 28 brings lots of diamonds. Yeah. Yeah. I agree. That would be gorgeous. I also just had my best friends, two of my best friends just got married and they are actually younger than me by like a year.
Starting point is 00:07:38 And that was just like a really lovely, it's a really nice time in life when your best friends are getting married around you. Like it's really gorgeous. It's a magical time. It's a really magical time. And then soon straight after, it's babies. The babies. It's special too.
Starting point is 00:07:49 My other best friend just gave birth. Like, it's a really wonderful time to be alive right now. And it's really nice that you can watch it and sort of, like, take note and, like, not feel the pressure to... Because you're still so young. Like, you don't have to be doing it. Yeah. It's just a great time of life. And you know what else?
Starting point is 00:08:04 December's just a magical time because it's Christmas. Yeah, if you haven't been able to tell by our headpieces and the decor, it's Christmas. It's Christmas has come. It's really exciting. I love Christmas, although I do not feel Christmassy this year at all. Santa Claus is coming. Talk to me about your Christmas plans. So Christmas Eve, we're going to go to the Savoy with my family.
Starting point is 00:08:24 We're basically celebrating our Christmas on that day and then Christmas Eve we then go to Jamie's family's house now they do black tie Christmas Eve. I think this is really a vibe oh it's I know you've had like issues with it because it's like an effort to find the outfit which I do understand but then also you've always been like you know what it's so fun. It's really lovely and Jamie's auntie and uncle coming who I just went to Morocco with and I love them. Okay, gorgeous. And like basically everyone, maybe it's too easy to say,
Starting point is 00:08:50 everyone brings caviar. I love this. The rule is like you have to bring that and then it's like a caviar tasting night. Oh my God, how stunning. Do you have like vodka with it as well? Yeah, the whole shebang. Oh my God, wow.
Starting point is 00:09:02 And like the meal is just that with like all the sides oh my god so it's like really really bougie but stunning but like there's loads of it because if you think there's like 12 people
Starting point is 00:09:11 do you like caviar? my favourite thing in the whole entire world really? yeah okay so that's what we're doing and then Christmas day we wake up
Starting point is 00:09:18 we go to his little church in the village Bybre village start with you and Carol singing and we go and we listen to the reading it's so cute
Starting point is 00:09:24 and we bring oh my god I can't bear to the reading it's so cute and we bring oh my god I can't bear it I know it's heaven and then we walk up and then we have a Christmas lunch who cooks? Penny
Starting point is 00:09:31 and she's an amazing cook is she? oh my god amazing she cooks how like we cook like lovely like she's really really
Starting point is 00:09:38 I love her food and then that's it and then Boxing Day you're gonna love what we're doing for Boxing Day so actually
Starting point is 00:09:44 we're driving back home we're gonna see my family for it again so Boxing Day. Another Boxing Day. You're going to love what we're doing for Boxing Day. So actually, we're driving back home. We're going to see my family for it again. So Boxing Day. So I'm basically not with them. And then that evening, I'm going for dinner with Lil, Rupert, Georgie and Egan. We're all going to a lovely pub in Richmond. Oh my God. Stunning.
Starting point is 00:09:57 I know, right? Tell me your plans then. 20th, 21st, 22nd, Toby's parents' house. I think we're going carol singing in the local church. It'll be all Christmassy. All the gorgeous food. There's like a whole itinerary that Toby's dad's parents house I think we're going carol singing in the local church it'll be all Christmassy all the gorgeous food there's like a whole itinerary that Toby's
Starting point is 00:10:08 dad's done I think it's so precious so it's the whole family you got ready no just Toby's and I and his parents 23rd we drive to my parents house
Starting point is 00:10:15 my parents and Toby's parents live like 25 minutes away from each other which is really handy that's so good so we're going to my parents house
Starting point is 00:10:22 on the 23rd having dinner with them with his parents so they're going to come in for a glass of champagne, surely? Just Toby is driving. We're staying the night at my parents' house, having dinner. Toby's 24th, Christmas Eve, we'll drive back home to his. So we have Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day separately.
Starting point is 00:10:38 I then drive to Val d'Azur with my family on the day after Boxing Day. We do this lovely road trip through France, stay in a cute hotel that's very Christmassy and New Year's-y vibes with my brother, my mum and my dad. And then pick up Tobes in Geneva on the 29th, drive up to Val d'Azur.
Starting point is 00:10:54 Heaven. And then we're there for New Year's Eve. Heaven on earth. Okay, guys. We did a secret Santa gifty gift this year. The last minute.
Starting point is 00:11:02 Mine, I literally grabbed right before the record. Me too. But I had it planned in my head. This is a really nice present. I'm really happy. I hope you love it. Wait, why did you get me
Starting point is 00:11:11 something so nice? I thought it was like LOL vibes. I hope you honestly love this so much. Wait, what? wait what it's the face it's the face of all my face
Starting point is 00:11:38 it is Melissa's got me a framed photo of herself how's my Zika at that end present Melissa calls me after this photo had been taken she zika at that end of the present melissa calls me after this photo had been taken she went you don't believe it i've never seen she went that photographer
Starting point is 00:11:50 next level i've never been so sunny and she's chosen that photo of all bitches it's so it can go in your new house wait Sorry. Wait, wait, wait. On the mantel. I will actually put that. I will actually put that in the new house because it's a lovely frame. It's a gorgeous. It's a really nice present. It's gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:12:11 It's gorgeous. I'll put it in the bedroom. Put Jamie's away. That's what I'll have. Oh my God. Sorry. So did you print this whole thing? I went to Snappy Snaps.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Last night? This morning. Right before I came here. No, you're unbelievable. Wait, and this is where you got it all? And then you went to White Company Snaps. Last night? This morning, right before I came here. No, you're unbelievable. Wait, and this is where you got it all? And then you went to White Company, got the frame? Went to White Company, got the frame, chose the frame, then went to Snappy Snaps and got them to, like, choose the size. You should actually get something like that for Toby.
Starting point is 00:12:36 I know, I'm going to do the exact same thing for him for Christmas. Stunning picture, stunning present. I love that. Okay, I have actually given you a different photo in there that you can change it to oh my god because i know that's probably a bit weird which is of both of us really actually really a sweet present okay i feel bad because mine's not as nice as yours thank you so much i actually love that love that oh my god my favorite crack did you just go to the fucking supermarket oh my god i'm dead there is isn't there oh my god did you know no i know as soon as i
Starting point is 00:13:24 opened the crackers i knew it was coming that is actually such a good idea no I can feel it it's because I'm crying oh guys it's apple and fig chutney
Starting point is 00:13:33 oh I'm dead we petitioned to rename chutney in the dictionary chutney it must happen it goes down in history
Starting point is 00:13:41 honestly my mum still makes the jokes every time she sees a bottle of chutney she sends me a photo of it she sends it to me too. And it kills me.
Starting point is 00:13:50 Oh my God, this is gorgeous from the fromagerie. I know that place. Is this from the sandwiches? No, around the corner. Stunning. So I've got some cheese, some Peter's Yard. That's quite lovely. You might use this one.
Starting point is 00:14:01 I will 100% be using this. This is actually a really lovely gift. She's got her cheese and chutney. She's got her crackers. They're really delicious crackers as well. I can eat them just on their own. Oh my God, same. I fucking love these.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Right, these are going to come home for Christmas, isn't it? I really can't wait. Oh my God, thank you. You've got to give your mum. Love you. Love you so much. That is a great gift. Let's get into our festive dilemmas because we've swapped our presents.
Starting point is 00:14:25 We've had some cake. It's now time to get into the dilemmas. Yeah. FanDuel Casino's exclusive live dealer studio has your chance at the number one feeling, winning, which beats even the 27th best feeling, saying I do.
Starting point is 00:14:42 Who wants this last parachute? I do. Enjoy the number one feeling, winning, in an exciting live dealer studio, exclusively on FanDuel Casino, where winning is undefeated. 19 plus and physically located in Ontario. Gambling problem? Starting point is 00:15:06 Okay, dilemma one. Merry Christmas, Sophie and Melissa. I've moved to a new country to be with my boyfriend of six years and he's planning to leave me all alone on Christmas Day. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. For some context, he often says that he feels bad that he doesn't see his family more often
Starting point is 00:15:24 and Christmas Day is held with all the cousins aunties slash uncles however it's a four-hour drive away from where we live and I'm working on Christmas day and boxing days I won't be able to do the round trip in one day we have previously spent Christmas apart and this year would have been our first Christmas together but now it's not looking to be the case his family are even telling him to leave me all alone in our flat so he can spend Christmas with them and not me. I don't have any family or friends close by that I can visit either. Do you think I'm being unreasonable
Starting point is 00:15:53 asking him to skip Christmas Day with his family to be with me instead especially as I'm the one who's working on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day? This is really hard. Or do you think especially considering I moved countries to be with him that he should miss out on his family Christmas just this once? She's not working on Christmas Day. She's working Christmas Eve and Boxing Day. Hang on a sec.
Starting point is 00:16:11 So Christmas Day, she's free. But she doesn't have enough time because she's got to be back. To drive, I see. No. She's going to be all alone on Christmas Day. This is very, very wrong. He needs to stay with you. Sorry.
Starting point is 00:16:21 I agree. Listen, I think he needs to be with you on Christmas day. He can go and be with his family on Boxing Day. He can leave. You go back to work and he'll go spend Boxing Day with his family. I think this is really, really unfair actually.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Especially if you've moved cross country to be with him. Like, no, sorry. No. That he's even considered to leave you on Christmas day. That's like brutal. You on your own.
Starting point is 00:16:43 How dare you? Absolutely not. And they live together, right? They live together. No, no, no, no, no. She's like brutal. You on your own. How dare you? Absolutely not. And they live together, right? They live together. No, no, no, no, no, no. She's moved across the world. I'm picturing her. She used to live in England.
Starting point is 00:16:52 She's now moved to Australia. She's now got a job. She used to work on Christmas Eve. She used to work on Boxing Day. He's like, See ya. I'll leave you with my family. Four hours away.
Starting point is 00:17:02 No. It's difficult because he's already considering it. How would I go about it? I would be really upset. And I think this is a really hard one to approach because my stubbornness would not want to allow him to... I wouldn't want to explain it to him. I'd want him to figure out on his own.
Starting point is 00:17:19 So what I would naturally do is just be a bitch to him or be angry or be moody. But that's not going to get you anywhere. So you've got to verbalize it because boys don't sometimes understand it unless you give it to them in black and white. So probably you're going to have to sit him down and be like, look, I'm really upset about this. I've moved all this way.
Starting point is 00:17:36 I now have to spend Christmas Day and I'll never forget this. I would do the same thing. I would be like, yeah, fine, do what you want. If you really want to, fine. Yeah, and then I'd hate him until Christmas and then probably all of January too. And you know i would be like yeah fine do what you want yeah and then if you really want to fine yeah and then i'd hate him until christmas and then probably all of january what would be really upsetting even if you did go oh no no you know what you're totally right i'm gonna stay i would still be angry for even considering it so now the damage is done the damage is kind of done and i'm really annoyed for you but the only way we can get out of this is by being mature and communicating so i would say like look if you really want to do this
Starting point is 00:18:06 and spend less time with your family, like, you should, but you also need to know, like, this is probably going to have a bit of an effect on our relationship right now because it's an important day and you're leaving me. You just have to compromise.
Starting point is 00:18:19 You really do. I feel like normally the guy always ends up compromising. You would think look in relationships you do have to compromise like you really do and you've got to spend time with both families an ideal situation all the families get on together and then you're just laughing you're off to the races and you know what I also think is something that's a good thing to do try and merge like Christmas Eve Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Starting point is 00:18:48 And then like each individual day is like a celebration in itself. So then it kind of doesn't matter like which one you're spending with which family. I do think that this is a really horrible situation. My hope is, is that he's being a classic boy. And the minute you spell it out to him, he'll be like, fuck, I had no idea. I'm so sorry. Of course I would never go. And it's like so apologetic. You this wonderful Christmas the two of you that's what I'm hopeful for also like if he doesn't them in the bit I actually genuinely
Starting point is 00:19:13 think it's kind of a dumb full offense I would not get over that I know me too leaving me on my own for Christmas I wouldn't dare you it's I don't want to be dramatic, but it is kind of reasonable for you to bin him over this. I know in my gut that I would dump somebody if I said to them, I'm going to be on my own for Christmas in a foreign country. And they're like, sorry, I really want to go to my honeymoon. I need to go with my aunt and uncle over. Bye. Cousins are over.
Starting point is 00:19:39 I see where your priorities are. Christmas is a magical day. Like, where's our holiday moment? Do you know what I mean? Yeah. I think the hope is that he's being a stupid boy and he's going to really pull it out the bag. He's going to make you something gorgeous.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Whatever the food you want is, you're going to have it together. You're going to watch it. And hopefully Santa Claus comes and brings you all the presents that you wanted. You'll have some lovely, warm... Mulled wine. And just lovely wine
Starting point is 00:20:02 and sit in front of the fire and watch movies all day long. And some mint pies. And some chocolate and cheese. Yeah, you can't not have the fire and watch movies all day long and some chocolate and cheese yeah you can't not have the chocolate and cheese i really hope that this pulls out for you and if you are alone for christmas um listen to wednesdays because it will cheer you up and we are here to tell you that we love you and it's just one day and it's 24 hours and then it's going to be the next day and next year will be a better one. Okay, right guys. I have a Christmas story.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Mine and my partner's friends have a Christmas tradition where we go to the pub to celebrate the end of the year. A few years ago, myself and two other friends decided to start the celebrations early. And we aimed to get tipsy before everyone else joined us. We said we'd start light, but an hour in we drank a bottle of rosé wine each. Oh my God. The drinks kept on flowing shots were drank and then i started to feel very ill my partner came out to join me and he decided to call their mom to come up and pick us up as there was no way i would make the short walk
Starting point is 00:20:55 around the corner in my state i got in the car and instantly knew it was a bad decision i tried to tell my partner's mom to pull over but as soon as I opened my mouth I threw up all over the car the seats and myself were covered in rose wine oh no and whatever I'd have for dinner it was awful no that smell is next level isn't it it's like fermented food
Starting point is 00:21:14 because it's the alcohol the acid I was showered and sent to bed and woke up in the morning to clean the car with a raging hangover I spent the whole day cleaning but the sick smell wouldn't go no no sick hour just doesn't come out like i know my friend who you know we went to mahiki back in the day we were like 17 and we were staying at my dad's flat in
Starting point is 00:21:35 london anyway my mom was staying too in the spare room she'd been shopping and for some reason i had one of her shopping bags in my room anyway I hear this like retching in my room and I'm like I'm like go to the loo and before you know it she's like give me that bag she grabs a bag she vomits up in this bag it was all over my mum's cash in her staff that she got for Christmas it was around Christmas time she then put it in the laundry room to dry out. I woke up, the whole house smelled of putrid sick because the heat from the laundry room, it basically ventilated it.
Starting point is 00:22:13 It was like the air conditioning. It was just the whole flat. My dad's like, and I've never, ever forgotten that. And I know why because she came home. Do you remember like the pasta,
Starting point is 00:22:21 the pasta, the pine nut pasta from M&S? Yes. The pesto and pine nut. Yes. She ate that and it was like putrid. Also, that's like really garlicky. Yeah, it was a lot.
Starting point is 00:22:29 And the house stank for weeks. Dilemma two. Hi, tinies. It was my work's Christmas do. Bubblies were flowing. You know the drill. Sometimes I love it the way some people write in this way. You know the drill.
Starting point is 00:22:43 I ended up going to my boss's hotel room. We kissed. It got steamy. Afterwards, I found out that he has a wife and kids. No, no, no, no, no. We agreed never to speak about it again. I now feel like I'm only employed because I have the potential to ruin his life. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:22:58 What should I do? Find a new job or tell his wife the truth of what happened last Christmas? Fuck it out. Someone's just dropped a bomb on us. Get a new job. I would not stay in that job. I would just, yeah, get a new job. Get him to write you an unreal recommendation.
Starting point is 00:23:12 There you go. Use it to your advantage. Yeah, use it. And get a new job. I know that there's probably a semi-duty of care to tell the wife, but then I'm also like, if he's done it with you,
Starting point is 00:23:21 maybe he's done it with other people. I also just think, look, at this point, it's really hard to get involved with shit like this. I honestly. I also think with work as well. Like, will he then, I don't know, HR. I just don't know. It can get messy.
Starting point is 00:23:33 I don't know. The whole thing's seedy and awful. Oh my God, it really annoys me. Why do men do this? I know. Sickening. Listen, it's been a year. There's been no inappropriate behavior since, hopefully.
Starting point is 00:23:43 It's quite impressive you've both managed a year like that's a long time I think if you're really like disliking your job and you hate working with it and then definitely move jobs but I don't think you've left it also too long I kind of think at this point to tell the wife because she'll be like oh yeah right why have you left a year to tell me that I don't know she'll just blame you you just don't know what's going on behind closed doors if it was me I would probably just move jobs. Find a job that I really love. You clearly feel uncomfortable.
Starting point is 00:24:09 Maybe your moral compass can't deal with it. So I would start opening those floodgates and start snooping around for another job. Yeah. But look, if you're getting on fine and you and your wife, you know, it happened. Shit happens. I think a lot of shit happens on christmas parties i just would love a really juicy story of someone that's done something really naughty at a christmas party oh my god i've got one okay so there was a christmas party at a gym that i used to go to
Starting point is 00:24:36 a gym okay it was a very elite gym and um it was sort of selective of who would come. And I got invited. So I turned up and everyone was loose. The PTs who, you know, they don't drink. They're shredded. They're eating non-dairy, gluten-free cake. Got it. And they were lit. And I was like, hello, this is quite fun. Little did I know everyone was shagging in the saunas.
Starting point is 00:25:04 And I was like... That story took a real turn. Who was shagging in the saunas and i was like that story took a real turn who was shagging in the saunas users of the gym who were probably married were hooking up in the sauna my fucking god this is quite a risky business just shagging around in the gym because like someone could walk in and see you and i agree also can i just say i've had sex in a sauna. It's genuinely one of the worst experiences of your life. So hot. You feel like you're dying. So hot. God, I mean, 15 minutes max for me in a sauna.
Starting point is 00:25:32 Bless, you're gasping and then you feel ill. Don't let alone a bit of rumpus bumpus. Thanks. No, thanks. Worst decision of my life. At least you're detoxing. Yeah, there's always that. But like kind of rank and sweaty and like it's all just a lot.
Starting point is 00:25:44 Poor person going in that sauna. I also know what sauna you had done that no no it was years and years ago you were devastated i've gone and sat in that sauna probably oh god and now we have a lovely christmas message from our first ambassador miles nazaire girls, Merry Christmas. So first of all, to the lovely, lovely Wednesday's girls and guys, thank you for having me on your podcast. I was your first man ambassador. Anyway, my Christmas is going to be amazing. My family are coming to London from France. So we're going to spend it with them hopefully have a lovely lovely roast and play an intense monopoly game me and my dad we get really really into it and he always loses but can't hack it so that's what i'm doing uh i don't know what you guys are doing i'm sure you're going
Starting point is 00:26:35 to spend it with your family and loved ones i'm really excited to see all of that on socials and i i love you all i love you both love you girls aww isn't he such a cutie we must do more of the Mambasta in 2025 we must because I really liked it
Starting point is 00:26:50 it was very insightful it was dilemma three hi ladies I have a new year's dilemma a few years ago I went on a night out with a group of my
Starting point is 00:26:57 friends' friends at the time I was in an unhappy relationship and got chatting to one of the boys who I had a very loose connection with
Starting point is 00:27:03 over the course of the night I confided in him about how i wasn't feeling happy and he also opened up about his own relationship issues we never crossed the line but the chemistry and the connection was undoubtedly there i love these stories but not so much when you're in a relationship it's always quite savage i ultimately ended my relationship and moved to canada quite a long way to get over a breakup whereas the boy i met stayed in his relationship and moved to Canada, quite a long way to get over a breakup. Whereas the boy I met stayed in his relationship. Flash forward to now.
Starting point is 00:27:30 I'm single and have just found out through a friend of a friend that this boy's literally just broken up with his girlfriend. Sorry, she's been... Can I just say, this girl, I know you've been obsessed with this boy the whole time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You've been stalking him. You've been subtly thinking... Can't wait for him to be able yeah yeah and we're both going to be the same new year's event as i'm back in uk for christmas i really felt something and i want to shoot my
Starting point is 00:27:55 shot but i also don't want it to be just a new year's fling and go back to canada disappointed i'll be back in the uk permanently by the summer so do you think i should make a move on new year's eve or wait until i'm properly back later? I don't want you to like miss your chance and him getting another relationship. I would literally just not overthink it. But equally don't want to be like super obsessed with him. Something happened and then you go out to Canada
Starting point is 00:28:16 and he's like, I'll wait till you're back. I would get with him, make him fall in love with you. If you go back, great. If only it was as simple as that. If only it was as simple. But like in an ideal situation, him fall in love with you if you go back great if only it was as simple as that if only it was as simple but like in an ideal situation go fall in love having a wicked connection you either continue talking till summer it's really not that long time and he's like shagging sleeping with and dating other girls keep it open and you can do the same and then you've got something to like get you through till summer because january till summer is a bit of a boring time so you never know like if you have like a week together, he could be like, look, I'm willing to come visit
Starting point is 00:28:45 once or twice. Or you could be like, I want to move back to UK. Yeah, come back earlier. Don't not do it to try and play the long game. That's risky. Exactly, exactly.
Starting point is 00:28:53 Because he's more likely to meet a girl and kind of forget about you if that's the case. Go for it. Agree, agree, agree. We can't risk wasting this opportunity.
Starting point is 00:29:02 Also, there's nothing better than a New Year's Eve kiss he cares. Also also whilst comes to us you just like have a lovely yeah you have a nice new year's flick nothing wrong with that okay what i would do he's gonna come over to you and just be like oh my god hey how are you you know what i'm really bad at if i actually really like back in the day when i you know if you actually do fancy someone and it's not just a randomer, I, like, avoid contacting until they come over. Like, I can't look. Kind of same. Because you're like, you don't want to keep giving each other, oh, that's weird.
Starting point is 00:29:33 You've got to, like, speak to them. Yeah. So he comes over. Hey, Clarice, how are you? Clarice. Clarissa. Oh, my God. I think you're meant to be English.
Starting point is 00:29:44 Okay, right. Hey, Clarissa, how you doing? you're meant to be English okay right hey Clarissa how you doing I'm great thanks Patrick you're English too you fucker she's living in Canada so she's probably picked up a bit of an accent
Starting point is 00:29:52 I've been thinking about you quite a bit on my travels no way what about good things I've been really looking forward
Starting point is 00:29:59 to this moment actually good things I don't know I can't find the accent right I think we need to just go, I've actually been thinking about you quite a bit
Starting point is 00:30:07 since I've been away. I'm not okay. You know what you should say? You should be like, I actually kind of can't stop thinking about you at the moment, I don't know why.
Starting point is 00:30:15 Surely he's going to go straight. That will give him like a willy tingle. It's got to. Find out how over the breakup he is because we don't want to be getting with someone
Starting point is 00:30:23 when they're like in the depths of a breakup and they're just looking to shag. Not a vibe. And then he's like drunk and crying and you're like, get lost. Or he's literally just so not in the headspace to be able to get to any decent point with you because he's so not over the ex. So let's figure out that first. If it's a green light and he's ready, just fucking go for it and just tap into that feminine energy. I would maybe like reply to a story just to get you into his mind just for four years.
Starting point is 00:30:47 Just to sort of breathe. So that he then is thinking, hang on a sec, does she fancy me? Or you know what, I would just get the word around. Nothing like a little bit of Chinese whispers. Yeah. Say to like your friend. Who's also his friend. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Really kind of down to. Yeah. Get with Patrick. I don't know that's what I was like Patrick he's clearly on my mind no
Starting point is 00:31:10 to get with Patrick and then you just hope that it gets back to him that's the plan oh god I'm like really excited for you I must know what happens

I'm lucky enough to have three younger sisters. And every year we're always reminded of the cutest thing that my younger sister did. When she was four years old, she picked up a small present from underneath the tree my mum and dad didn't recognize it and asked us older girls who had brought this particular present i'm nervous my youngest sister unwrapped
Starting point is 00:32:53 the present and screamed oh wow i really wanted this she'd taken one of her favorite toys which she got for christmas last year and wrapped it up again so that she could pretend she was receiving the toy all over again oh my god i can't bear it that's the sweetest thing I've ever experienced oh my god as a family we couldn't stop laughing and we still bring up every Christmas morning absolutely love the podcast I'm wishing you a very nice Christmas sorry that is the sweetest my whole heart just melted that sweet little kid oh no it's the it's the oh gosh oh wow i really wanted this she's four i genuinely can't cope i would eat her if she was my sister or my child i would literally die bless her little concert it really is something special when you have young children in the family
