We're separated. We're separated today. And also we're doing another little non-alcoholic taste test. Taste session. But we're not doing why we've done we've won for prosecco yeah this is an interesting one and also very potent also i've got a story as to why i've not got mine because
Starting point is 00:01:33 i have recently been in portugal jamie had a poker night at my house with boys and he had about i don't know if like a good amount of boys found. And I obviously had stocked up the wine thing with a lot of non-alcoholic wines. They've all gone, along with a lot of alcoholic alcohol. So I'm thinking... It just kills me that he doesn't think they were alcoholic. Yeah, they've definitely like cracked open all the red wine and one of the Proseccos.
Starting point is 00:01:59 They must have been so hammered to have not noticed. Yeah, because also it doesn't taste the same. That's not. It doesn't. But let's be honest, after let's say. That's quite a good thing though. Three or four drinks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:11 You wouldn't know. You wouldn't know. We should probably start doing that because you'd carve the hangover. Like at a stage in the night, really, you don't need to drink anymore. But then I would just have water. Yeah, but you know sometimes you like like you almost like need something to fit like I like to continue the night whereas if I had you giving me fake alcohol I'd probably be like still having a time of my life yeah you wouldn't even think about it you just think you're still
Starting point is 00:02:36 drinking I feel you I'm having some this is called no zeko how funny is that oh I like that we're from amazon amazon I ordered guys thinking it was one bottle and i ordered it was a whole like carton six bottles arrived one of them had smashed it leaked everywhere i was like oh what a nightmare but i managed to savor the rest not that i'm ever gonna drink five bottles of non-alcoholic mosaic i mean yeah i'd be interested to know what the ingredients is like what goes in grape juice i'm not gonna lie though it smells like really like realistic and potent like it smells alcoholic yeah really zero percent alcohol free suitable for vegans stunning okay i'm gonna try it it's almost i also forgot to put it in the fridge guys this is this is warm i'm actually really jealous
Starting point is 00:03:22 for some reason like that that feels like it would be because I love a fizzy drink. It's really not that bad. Really? It's giving me such slur vibes. I would like that. I think, do you know what I think I've had? If it was cold, it would be so nice. I've had non-alcoholic Prosecco before and it's much better than non-alcoholic wine.
Starting point is 00:03:40 Wine, yeah. I think it's easier to do because it's light, it's fizzy. Exactly, you get the sparkle on the fizz yeah just see what it says on the back natural grape profile with fine and elegant bubbles serve chilled so it's just great for it just yeah and also i think if you are um oh oh natural flavoring preservatives okay there is a couple preservatives in there so it's not exactly organic but good that it's vegan so i think this is actually a great option if you're a non-alcoholic drinker this would be great at like parties for people that are like t-shirt pregnant or just don't want to drink yeah oh my god when we're pregnant nine months long
Starting point is 00:04:21 time now it's a long time I keep thinking about that recently. Like, nine months of being full in the stomach and bloated is a long time. Also, you wouldn't know if you were bloated. Because I mean... No, I think... My mum said by the end of it, I was so big in my mum's tummy. She said that she could literally only... I mean, don't quote me on this because, you know, every pregnancy is different.
Starting point is 00:04:44 I'm not a bloody doctor. But she was like, I couldn't eat. You know on this because, you know, every pregnancy is different. I'm not a bloody doctor. But she was like, I couldn't eat. You know how everyone's like, oh, you're so hungry. But when just before she was going to pop me out, she was like, I couldn't fit anything in my tummy because you were so big. And also, yeah, I guess the baby like pressing on your tummy makes you feel maybe. She could only eat Waitrose. She ate the whole of Waitrose, guys. She only eat Weetabix, which is why I'm obsessed.
Starting point is 00:05:04 I love Weetabix. Obsessed with Weetabix because that's all she ate when she was pregnant with me that's her craving with just some sugar sprinkled on oh my god what what topping do you have in your pancakes nutella but it's not nutella yeah like sorry sugar and lemon no oh no i love a bit of sugar my mum puts ice vanilla ice cream in banana or cream in banana. See, that's right up my street. I actually would like a savory one with a bit of a sausage on it or something. Oh, but now I'm so in love with the whole American bacon and maple syrup.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Oh, my God. Especially when they're the thick buttermilk pancakes, like the slightly thicker, fluffier ones. So this is Pace and Portobello. Oh, in Batsy. You you love going there don't you only because those pancakes they are so delicious i haven't found anywhere that does anywhere as good okay well we're gonna have to go to the this place in portobello that is called like fluffware or something and it's oh my god we walk i walk past it yeah it's literally like just a shop for fluffy pancakes like oh my god yeah okay we've got to go we've got to go guys also we have like serious topics
Starting point is 00:06:11 to discuss we do it was sophie's birthday yesterday guys oh yeah happy birthday happy birthday to sophie how old are you now 20 oh 27 27 oh it's just not good age is it like it's just 27 28 29 stop going melissa's going right into the night race she's the right old age of 27 oh i don't like being 27 i don't know where the time has gone from when i'm 24 to 27 like to think when i first started dating jamie i was a spring little 24 year old when i first met you i was 20 i was i was what no i was 23 maybe i was just i was no no i was 20 yeah you were a proper baby i tell you what though i will say the hangovers this year i know that you laugh at me but they have changed they've changed there's there's a difference. I know, people keep saying that. When I was 20, like last,
Starting point is 00:07:06 this time last year, I didn't really, like they were bad, I felt hungover, but like this year, I'm like, oh, no. That really takes the life out of you,
Starting point is 00:07:14 It takes the freaking life out of me. Oh, gosh. Got it all to come, sweet cheeks. Oh no, I'm not looking forward to that. Okay, so first things first,
Starting point is 00:07:23 what are you most excited about? Because, we've got a couple topics to cover because first of all can we just talk about okay there's two things that are really like on my mind last night there was this full moon or there's full moon tonight actually but like this full moon has been affecting both of us hasn't it we've just had this conversation before yeah i've been waking up for the last three nights 3 3am, every night, like, why am I awake? Like, why do I wake? I'm the same. And then dreaming, dreaming, dreaming, dreaming, like, so much. And I'm like, this is so weird.
Starting point is 00:07:51 And then I put on my story, like, is there a full moon or something? Because, like, I only ever have bad nights if there's a full moon. And I know that that's just because your blood's, or your water and your body's, like, connected for the magnetic field or something. Like, it's actually scientific that you're... Oh, really? Well, I believe in all that shit anyway. Didn't know it was scientifically proven yeah yeah it's genuine like it's a real thing anyway are you sure about that yeah it is okay well i believe in it anyway
Starting point is 00:08:13 yeah go on so tell us all about the moon there's this there's this what is it called eras moon well loads of the so but i've just been looking on instagram and everyone's writing like they're some people are calling it like a full blood moon there's full moon in eras or whatever yeah there's no retrograde period oh don't tell me it's not the fucking mercury retrograde i'm literally yeah it is no i saw we've just come out full blood me bringing okay this is today an opportunity to find better balance between our need for freedom and our need for connection and invitation to transform the way we deal with anger frustration and strong emotions a chance to gain better Okay, well basically there's a new moon and it's making us go cray cray. What were you dreaming about?
Starting point is 00:08:58 I don't know, like loads of different things, but I just remember waking up and it being like every night. The last three nights, last night was the only time I dreamt so much. But the nights before that, I've been waking up like, why the hell am I waking up at the same time every night? Almost like as if there's an alarm going off, like bang on three. I have been waking up at 2.30 as well. And so did Jamie. Jamie was like, you need to call someone about your sleep.
Starting point is 00:09:20 Well, I don't sleep very well anyway. But I was like, no, this is particularly bad. And the dreams i was having full-on dreams about really vivid dreams about this boy that i knew at university like he was right in my not a set obviously guys not a sexual one but it was very bizarre but it was so graphic and real and i like woke up and was like I definitely saw him but I definitely didn't it was a dream oh it's just so bizarre I think when I put it on my story like so many people replied like yes same like so many weird dreams and a lot of weird people have been saying things that like that it's taking them back to school with their a-levels and shit so you saying
Starting point is 00:09:58 uni like I think that's like a weird I used to always dream that I was at university I hadn't finished my dissertation it was a a real kind of dream. Maybe it's like throwback worries or something like that that you've had. Tonight, apparently every new moon you should really write your affirmations and gratitude. And I was actually feeling like I should do that this morning. Then I got sidetracked.
Starting point is 00:10:20 Anyway, I really hope we don't sleep badly tonight because I could do with a good night's sleep. Good night's sleep, same. But on a really, I really hope we don't sleep badly tonight because I could do with a good night's sleep. Good night's sleep, same. But on a really, I mean, sorry, are you guys just not crying over Courtney and Travis? I know. It just means it's fully over for Scott. I know, but it's done for Scott. Yeah, but do you know what I always have?
Starting point is 00:10:38 I know everyone's like, Scott Disick. I always was like, oh, I kind of love him a little bit. Oh my God, everyone loves Scott Disick. No, they don't. Jamie hates him hates him oh I think he's so funny I think he's so great I almost fancied him a little bit always anyway yeah I did back in the day and he's kind of lost it yeah yeah he's lost it but then I saw that message he sent to the the guy oh yeah and I was like that was so lame like you're just not a good guy and also also, I think Courtney protects him a lot. I think that she doesn't actually say as bad as he is.
Starting point is 00:11:08 Because otherwise, why wouldn't you have got back with him all these years? Like, she kept saying, there's something you're not doing. Doing. I wonder what it was. I think it was drugs and alcohol. Yeah. He was still not in the... Who knows?
Starting point is 00:11:20 Don't quote me. But anyway, she's happy in that ring. Isn't it my dream ring? It's gorgeous. It is the dream ring. i'm so happy for them like that's just so sweet that she's found love yeah we were saying like that people have found like they find like romance and love when they're just like a bit older and it's actually like really cute yeah like i feel like getting engaged is like such a young young thing like on instagram i think it's great that like all these celebrities are and also fuck the haters yeah i mean i'm not you know fine i'm i'm very british and seeing people
Starting point is 00:11:50 tongue each other on the street would probably freak me out a little bit but actually when you look at it how epic is it that they're that age and they're so into each other and so in love like we should be celebrating it because guys you can find love at any age there's no time cap sure time cap i mean jennifer lopez what 52 isn't she 53 52 we're back on him ben affleck yeah i just want angeline i'd like firstly jen jen annison look there's something going on there i think she might just like her own company i think it must be really hard like it's harder when you get older anyway i'm being that thing if you're a celebrity i mean geez well they all just date each other don't they because they obviously like it's a whole other world isn't it they must know it is oh talking about celebrities also will and kate
Starting point is 00:12:38 will is having a little bit of a glow up guys we're gonna post this photo but when he wears that like velvet green blazer i just love the royals so much. So this is the first time I'm seeing this picture. Can we just talk about Kate? I know it's meant to be about William. Sorry, she's just... She's an absolute goddess. Like,
Starting point is 00:12:52 I'm upset. I just love her so much. She doesn't look like she's aged a bloody day. No, she gets younger. It looks like she's the same person, like, the same age as when she married him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:01 I wonder what facial she does. Maybe I should take note. He's just so sweet. I remember when I was younger younger my mum used to always be like prince leo is so handsome and then he lost all his hair and everyone's like oh but he's still great but like she's been oh my god he's just the most beautiful one no no no to be fair if you google like a picture of him when he was absolutely gorgeous really i don't yeah he really was like you kind of forget what he used to look like it's funny how hair some people just don't age that well do they but he does look great in that jacket no yeah and he's just lovely oh my
Starting point is 00:13:37 god and their babies are just super cute also just really sidetracking but this weather's actually freaking me out guys it was pouring down, now it's pouring down here. Yeah, when you were mine, it was pouring, pouring, pouring with rain. Now, blue sky. No, it's raining here now. Is it? Oh, for me, it's blue sky outside. It looks delightful.
Starting point is 00:13:56 So it. Right. We've also got some followers and some really useful tips. So firstly, do you remember the hickey conversation last week? None of us knew how to get rid of it. I do remember the hickey. I said toothpaste, which was actually correct because mint is meant to help here. Someone gave us the tip that brushing where the hickey is with a hairbrush also works.
Starting point is 00:14:18 That would really hurt. But I guess it's like getting the blood, I don't know, blood moving because it's blood that's been trapped. So you want to get it circulating the body again. So it's like getting the blood i don't know blood moving because it's blood that's been trapped so you want to get it circulating the body again so it's like dry brushing is that what it is i think that's what it is because you're sucking up that's how it's basically a blood blister on your neck yeah yeah bringing it to the surface okay so dry brushing or brushing it stunning yeah i wouldn't use a hairbrush out ouch but i would use a soft toothbrush i think that's a good idea yeah say maybe an electric one just put it electric on your neck do you want to like damage the skin though like give yourself a great big scab or like real saggy
Starting point is 00:14:55 skin because it's just been vibrating so much um so we've also had a lovely listener write in previously to the podcast about her and her ex who met at boarding school and they've recently split up due to going to separate unis and she's basically trying to deal with this and how she's settling into uni so we've had a bit of a follow-up and an update hi guys thank you so much for reading out my dilemma on the podcast i've since broken up with him and moved into uni he moved to uni a few weeks before me and messed me around a lot and i met up with him but i finally realized i need to cut him off and move on if weeks before me and messed me around a lot and i met up with him but i finally realized i need to cut him off and move on if he's going to mess me around i still really miss him and i'm struggling with the breakup all my friends are at uni and with him and i feel like i can't
Starting point is 00:15:36 reach out to him to them so i feel very alone i'm also struggling to settle into uni and i've met a few nice people but it's so overwhelming and still feels like I need to find my people so I'd really appreciate any advice on one how to get over a breakup when you still love the other person and they've moved on especially when you didn't don't have many of your closest friends around you and two how to settle into uni get through the first few months thank you so much any advice would be great so is this the girl i think i remember this before the original dilemma was that she was stuck on what to do right whether to yeah and we said we were like a breakup because you know uni like so many i mean not like ben but it just sounds like you meet so many people and you have a blast and having a boyfriend at a different uni can sometimes hold you back a bit i I think. I think it, I really think you have made the right decision.
Starting point is 00:16:26 I think that it sucks that your friends are at his uni because, like, I've been there when you break up and you're in such a tight-knit group and, you know, you feel like everyone sighs with the boyfriend or vice versa. And even if they aren't, you just make it up in your mind and you feel very isolated and subdued. It's also just a constant reminder of the ex. And your past, like, you know, the group that you used to hang out with. But firstly, what I will say is that I really don't think that your friends are choosing his side.
Starting point is 00:16:55 I think it's circumstance, you know, they're hanging out with him. But if you were there, they'd be hanging out with you. So don't overthink that. So true. So true. Also, if he's messing you about yeah we need to screw him screw him screw him you cannot waste another moment of your young i mean i would actually mute their instagrams because i imagine it's social and facebook because
Starting point is 00:17:19 you just don't need to see it and it's going to be really tough seeing them all hang out and you'll get fomo and like we're all freaking human like you're gonna get it so just try and help yourself in every way you can yeah and also i think muting is a very mature way to go because they don't know you've done it yeah it's for your own you know don't as far as everyone else is concerned you're still following there's no bad blood there's no beef there's no drama you're just not seeing it you're choosing the high road and you're like, I just don't need to see that. Exactly. So I think it's the perfect solution.
Starting point is 00:17:49 Way to deal with it. Yeah, it's really good. For making it so easy for us. Give it time about finding your people. Like, it will happen for you. Yeah, and maybe, I'm just trying to think how I found my people at uni. Do you know what?
Starting point is 00:18:04 Give it time. Like how I found my people at uni do you know what give it time like I remember my my halls I opened the door when my my parents said bye and um I was like oh the people on my halls who were so lovely but I was like oh I'm not sure these are my people and by two weeks I don't know how long she's been in uni uni. To be fair, like, thinking about all the thousands of people that go to uni, you're stuck in halls with, like, what, five people? Yeah. If they're, I mean, slim pickings, it's a very slim chance that they're going to be your people.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Like, it is going to take some time. I first had this group, that group. You'll find someone on your course. Maybe if you do any sports. There are a lot of sports socials. I mean, I did not do that because I'm not that sporty. But, you know. How did you find your people megan was on my course so i met her day one and we were like we're gonna be best friends um naomi was on the floor below me again we were like hey and chrissy
Starting point is 00:18:58 was i knew her before so we were already mates yeah then that was our little our little group of emily obviously i knew before as well and izzy so i did know people before but then i i had a really lovely course group which was very lucky because a lot of my friends had literally no friends on their course oh god lots of my friends don't have any friends from their courses yeah i think it's because i just i did um what did i do i don't know wow social media and communications no i didn't do social media media i did media and communications oh okay so i'm basically following in that because that we're communicating right now so thank you um and how to get over a breakup when you still love the other person me i'm so sorry okay so this is just one of those things you've just got to go through
Starting point is 00:19:50 it's time right yeah just time is a healer everyone goes through heartbreak at some point in their life you know i went through it pretty young i feel like my first like breakup yeah yeah same actually and you do like everyone goes it's a roller coaster over it you it's just a process and it's just also a rite of passage like we've all got to go through it yeah and if you don't it's gonna happen at some point so you'd rather happen now than later on in life when you've got all your ducks in a row like this is the time for things like this to happen you grow you learn all the distractions stunning yeah just actually hope it's just some comfort for you to know that everyone goes through
Starting point is 00:20:25 it yeah i know it's not on an advisor or something that's gonna be able to solve the situation but at least it's comforting words also i would just recommend friends on on netflix and your laptop in the background whenever you're in your little room by yourself doing bits and bobs getting yourself ready for a night out just have friends on the background and make yourself feel good don't eat shit go to the gym go on fresh walk make yourself feel as strong and as healthy and as great as you can because that will help you best version of yourself you can be yeah positive positive energy hey you're a canadian podcast, and that makes you important to us. We'd like to know more about you, what you think of this podcast, and the other podcasts you'd like to hear.
Starting point is 00:21:13 So we put together a super brief survey we'd like you to fill out. Complete it, and we'll give you a chance to win one of three $100 Amazon gift cards. That way, we can say thanks for your opinion. Just go to mypodcastsurvey.ca and have your say. That's mypodcastsurvey.ca. So we're moving on to the dilemmas now. Team? Exciting. Hey ladies, you guys are great and I love the podcast my dilemma is that i have been on a pill on the pill now for over two years and basically i've just become asexual i just never want to have sex if my boyfriend touches me i'm like oh go away oh god but it's not like i
Starting point is 00:21:58 don't find him attractive like i really do i'm just never in the mood i find myself saying oh i can't have sex tonight because i have indigestion too tired ate too much for dinner but i'm running out of excuses and i feel like i feel bad for him i really like the pill i'm on because it doesn't make me crazy the only issue is sex i have either of you experienced this please i love you both yes yasmin made me lose my libido completely i'm on yasmin and i think it does reduce it thinking so i've been on it since i was 14 i was on it since i was 15 i just don't really remember what it was like before anyway mate it really reduces it like all i know is that for me i was making excuses not to sleep with somebody because i didn't sleep with them like not because that was a different scenario this is savage so like i i don't i i don't know
Starting point is 00:22:53 you just weren't you didn't fancy him yeah so that was my scenario i think the only way you're ever going to get out of this situation is if you come off the hill if that's the way it's affecting you that's yeah and you know that's what it is you're gonna maybe i would maybe suggest going on the coil because there is a coil that's non-hormone yeah that is true but then some people say that like the men can feel it like a little snake nipping at their penis yep oh my god like it's like the tongue of the snake just oh my fucking god that is so bizarre yeah yeah yeah oh my god like it's like the tongue of the snake just oh my fucking god that is no no no that's so bizarre yeah yeah yeah oh my god that's the funniest i will say the funniest description like a little snake i don't know who told me that but like an actual boy of a boyfriend told me once
Starting point is 00:23:35 and i was like fucking great description i think i've been there with the pill i didn't like go off the pill because of my libido i went off because it was well i thought it was giving me pigmentation um or attributing can do that as well i mean they're so oh you know girls how funny is this fun fact just an interrupt they created a pill for men right no one took it they no no they couldn't even they didn't even bring it to market because the side effects were too dangerous apparently the side effects were like half of what they are for women. It's outrageous. It is an outrageous world still, isn't it? We should just both have the choice of the pill.
Starting point is 00:24:12 Yes, we freaking well should. We have to give the fucking baby out of our vaginas. Why can't they take the pill? We have to have the fucking period. They can take the pill. Yeah, they can take one for the team and take the pill. We have enough hormones pumping through our body bodies it's brains brains it is no it's true yeah so isn't that a weird fun fact but yeah i think ultimately you're gonna have to come off it if you know because i do i do think sex is a very big
Starting point is 00:24:41 important part don't go and get pregnant and then come in with a dilemma that she's pregnant though. Oh golly gosh. No you've got to take other precautions obviously. But I do think the only way around this is if you come off it. Because I don't think there's any other way of like fixing your libido. Yeah I will say it did change my libido when I came off. Like there is a notable difference. And do you feel a lot more in touch with your body?
Starting point is 00:25:04 No at first I was like felt a bit funky weird but now i feel way more in touch but um js health does a nice hair and libido tablet i'm not sure oh yeah oh and macaroon macaroon put that in your smoothies shove loads of oysters and strawberries down your gob as well and some choccy some nice chocolate yeah always avocado just there is obviously foods and maybe start watching porn to help people say that but then oh my god fun fact for you as well apparently a certain percentage don't know quite the percentage but of men that get divorced all of them watch porn vigorously so basically it leads to divorce no i'm joking but it kind of makes sense because i guess that they
Starting point is 00:25:46 have such high expectations yeah and they probably might seek other players you know it disconnects you desensitizes you yeah it does i think more men than women men for women i'm sure it's just to like actually get you horny because we're not as horny as men well some are but for men i think it like it's an unrealist i don't know maybe i'm chatting shit but maybe we don't we don't recommend maybe we don't recommend the porn thing it's like sophie's had five glasses of wine guys yeah and my head's bouncing all over this don't know why okay ultimately our advice is on this i think there is little bits and bobs you can do with obviously like supplements and stuff but ultimately the pill's bloody strong and neutralizes your hormones so much or does whatever it does to your hormones and if it kills your libido like a
Starting point is 00:26:30 lot then you're gonna have to come off it and go down another route of contraception yeah because i do think sex is important in a relationship very important and also like you know again don't get me wrong i was on the pill for 10 years. Like, I am not against it at all. But I do think there is something in, you know, coming off it and letting your natural body be. So, you know, it took me a year after coming off the pill to get my natural period back. Oh, really going down the old period chart, aren't we? Sorry. I know we are.
Starting point is 00:27:02 It's an important topic. We should probably talk a little bit more about it i've got another another one i have an issue a close friend of mine has started to show a different side to her over the past few months a year ago i'd say we were literally the same person practically best friends we spoke all day every day and we were basically the same person in our thoughts slash ways etc but over the past few months she started to show a slightly toxic side she doesn't really make me feel great about myself she is often rude to me and overplays her own achievements whilst putting mine down my worst worst night i thought it was personal as i've had friends like this in the past when suddenly they turn and want to cut me out of their life however when I voiced my concerns with some people in my friendship group they said they
Starting point is 00:27:50 had noticed the same thing I don't know whether to give her the benefit of the doubt that this might be a difficult time or do I continue to create distance between us and put myself first as I know I have other friends who I know have my best interests at heart. It's just tricky as I have a lot of the same friends. And even though they feel the same, we've historically been the closest and makes it harder to cut her out completely. Thanks so much for the advice in advance. And keep up the great work. I really love your podcast. Talk to her.
Starting point is 00:28:21 Just talk to her. If they're such good friends, don't you think? Yeah. I would be like, what's going on? Like, I don't like this. Yeah, like, this isn't you. Like, I know you and like, you're normally a positive poly person. Like, there's obviously something going on in this girl's life if she's suddenly like,
Starting point is 00:28:36 Yeah, she's, I always think when people are particularly not very supportive and critical, they're often not feeling so great about themselves and it's a reflection on themselves and so you know as much as I so agree do not put up with this I also think that you've got to communicate you can't just cut someone out of your life if they're such a good friend to you yeah you know without communicating first and giving her a chance to see her errors and try and change it and you know what would you do if i suddenly started started doing that like would you sit me down would you be like i'm a bit worried because would you isn't you i guess if you are if they are that close i
Starting point is 00:29:19 would be yeah with you i'd be like i'd actually get really upset i'd be like melissa what has happened what's wrong with you yeah i'd be like i reckon what i do which is not not my advice but i just know myself i'd probably ignore you for like a day because that would be enough for you to know i was annoyed at you because that's how often we speak like fully yeah and then if you wait till you said what's wrong and then i'd be like you've really upset me and you're being weird right so you would give me enough of a vibe so that I would be like is something up yeah right but then it sometimes the girl doesn't ask what's wrong which is actually fair enough like you probably should just say be mature and be like you're upsetting me but I would always just be like I'd want them to be like
Starting point is 00:30:00 what's wrong which is probably quite immature of me, but, you know, we're not all powerful. No, I don't think it is. I think sometimes you have to jolt somebody into thinking, like, uh-oh, is it my actions? Yeah, you've got to let them think. How am I being? Because sometimes otherwise they just would be like...
Starting point is 00:30:17 Sometimes people might take it as offence. That's the only worry that I'm coming, like, the thing I'm thinking of that could backfire is if someone is in a bad place and they don't come forward with the problem to you that they could like take it the wrong way and be like how dare you like yeah I'm not what how dare you attack like how dare you how dare you say that I'm being like this like if they're in such a bad place and they're keeping it to themselves but that's not your fault you've got to do it and then yeah you then even then I would just be like what do you mean how dare you and then be like I would probably then say is everything okay with you it's all
Starting point is 00:30:55 about communication just back and forth yeah and hopefully then it is all about communication and you know what I actually think if she does take it the wrong way does you've tried your best you've done everything that you can do and if you say in the nicest way possible you know like love you so much I'm a little bit worried like is there anything going on like I know this isn't you yeah I know you're not meaning to be like this I just want you to know how it's coming across exactly and like I think that's the only way you can approach it and you know what if she takes it the wrong way, then, you know, you've done everything that you can. Exactly. At that point.
Starting point is 00:31:28 I so agree. Melissa, do you have any friggin' fun single diaries? Single diaries. For us, because we've been quite boring lately, haven't we? We have been quite boring, but you know what? We've got Halloween coming up. Well, I actually haven't we we have been quite boring but you know what we've got halloween coming up well i i actually haven't been exciting exciting holiday that is halloween yeah and also your single diaries have consisted very much of vampire diaries at the moment haven't they oh my god she starts more scoffing her going out on the prowl i am addicted to vampire diaries
Starting point is 00:32:00 i'm obsessed with damon salvator literally want to marry him he's I can't wait I'm starting in next week you need to watch it it's honestly like the deepest most intense love story ever and it's like so complicated and like the tension is unbelievable and he's just oh my god no I love it I love it it's honestly so great every episode there's just so much drama I've never really watched a show like it where it's like it's like not scary like just you're just on the edge of your seat and like the story just gets deeper and deeper and then but the romance is still really good there's so much going on so okay i can't wait i'm strapping myself in and every single person in it is beautiful like there's somebody's type in there someone there. Because that does make it a lot more interesting.
Starting point is 00:32:45 It just does. That's not lie. We are human. And every love story, like every love story in it is like really, like you're so invested in every single love story. I can't wait. It's really great. And it's the perfect time to get into a series.
Starting point is 00:32:58 It's becoming cozy, wintry nights. It's the cuffing season. I'm really going to have to nail something. Yeah. We've got to go really like time's of the essence for you hun i know okay well halloween guys what am i gonna wear for halloween this is another little yeah what are you halloween outfits so i'm thinking the christina aguilera but the girl from i haven't started watching it um sex education
Starting point is 00:33:19 the really fit girl oh yeah what's her name i don't know i just keep seeing her picture on instagram coming up she's got like brown hair and she looks banging so you're gonna go as her as christine but i don't really want to do the whole like bikini top it's a bit cold isn't it why don't you just do whatever kendall jenner did the fairy is quite sweet the kendall jenner fairy what the victoria's secret no no she did a fairy one year and it was like green like fairy she had like this long like i would do green and you could put green contacts in oh my god do that so cool anything that you could put an eye contact in it's dream i need to do my wind job the week and that is go on
Starting point is 00:33:55 um when i'm really sorry to say it but it's always elderly people elder people when no not elderly people i love old people but okay the elder generation you know that's new to age when they're just a bit snappy and you know when you're like walking on the street and yes i get it sometimes i'm on the phone but they like put their hand out in my face and i'm like i'm honestly a mile away from you and i can see where i'm going is that do you know when people go like no okay maybe i've just encountered some rude people but someone did it to me too and i was like oh my goodness i'm gonna walk around you but also you like don't walk into me because you're on the phone yeah perhaps it was
Starting point is 00:34:35 but maybe she's being a bit funky about kovid but like seriously i was really quite far i was definitely like a whole however many feet away from her like oh my god i love it how our whinges of the week have turned into like just whinging about anyone and everything yeah i don't mean me um pretty much he's been a quite a babe hasn't he he's hasn't really been around well yeah well you haven't been around each other so now you've missed each other and you've come back yeah he's not whinging he's not annoying, he's lovely. Yeah. Oh my God, you didn't give me the Biltong to eat. You need to give it to him yourself. It went off.
Starting point is 00:35:10 It went off. I ended up having it. I was like, I really don't... I got Jamie, basically, guys, I got Jamie all this Biltong from Selfridges, and it sat in my fridge, so I never ended up going round. I was like, oh, it's going to go off tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:35:21 I might as well have it. It's delicious. I really don't see all the fuss. Yeah, he likes... I think there's lots of flavors. I mean, it's going to go off tomorrow. I might as well have it. It's delicious. I really don't see all the fuss. Yeah, he likes... I think... There's lots of flavors. I mean, I obviously try to avoid meats, and that isn't for me. But he likes this Wagyu one, which is, like, extortionate prices.
Starting point is 00:35:35 We won't even go into that. I got the best one. I said, which is the best one? She said this. Oh, my God, I bet that's the one. You're so sweet. I know I am. Bless my little heart.
Starting point is 00:35:44 I didn't even get to give it to him. I'll have to go again before his birthday. Yeah, we're going out. Melissa's coming on the birthday night with us for his birthday dinner because she's literally part of the relationship. And it's for your birthday dinner as well. Yeah, and it's also like part of yours as well. Oh my god, yeah, it could be yours because Melissa's December baby.
Starting point is 00:36:00 Me and Jamie are exactly a month apart. Can you rate your wine, please? Okay, well, I'm actually going to rate this very high for a non-alcoholic. It's really good. Yeah, because you've got to put it in that. I think it's great. Really? I'll have another sip. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:16 And when it would be cold, it would be even nicer. There's nothing disgusting about it at all. Very pleasant. But obviously, you don't have that. You know with champagne. You don't have that you know you know with you don't have the warm and with champagne notes sometimes it can be too much and yeah a lot of champagne i'm like like uh no oh i love it no some i actually prefer some prosecco's over champagne i love just because they're less strong and overwhelming that hasn't got anything strong and overwhelming about it a very like
Starting point is 00:36:45 I can picture it like a very just easy peasy Prosecco exactly very drinkable exactly well done
Starting point is 00:36:51 well done there our favourite description for wine lovely drinkable drinkable so drinkable really smooth really light
Starting point is 00:36:59 as well it is actually very light light as a feather that one love it stunning well get yourself a bottle of that then if you're doing dry october or sober october oh good one to make
Starting point is 00:37:10 a note for this for dry jan if anyone's doing dry jan i know it's a while away but a lot of people are doing this sober october although by the time this comes out it might be basically november yeah november okay well you know what we've actually done quite well i haven't actually had any alcohol in like two, two, three weeks. That's not true. Oh, my God, that's such a lie. I went to Jamie's to go, no, maybe not. A week.
Starting point is 00:37:31 Literally a week today. Yeah, yeah, it's been a week. Oh, my God, what is wrong with me? I've been two weeks. Okay, well done. I know, feeling fresh. Also, guys, can you please send in the pictures of, like, your planned Halloween outfits or, like, what you would have worn on Halloween? Well, what? Do you want to rub it in my face anymore? Oh, no, your planned Halloween outfits or, like, what you would have worn on Halloween? Well, what?
Starting point is 00:37:45 Do you want to rub it in my face anymore? Oh, no. Just don't be such a bore about it. Like, Jesus. You've got to get on board and, like, appreciate the outfits. Fine. Okay. Well, if I was going to go as something.
Starting point is 00:37:54 Yeah. Tell me what you would do. I would go as Poison Ivy because she's green eyes. Oh, I'm doing, like, a fairy elf situation. Oh, could you situation more basic right there do you know when you looked really sick you wore that like silver outfit space cowgirl that was cool yeah i'm reusing those boots so that the only reason why this is an easy outfit because i'm like i don't want to go too overboard i just want to wear a cute dress i've got a dress that's
Starting point is 00:38:20 like quite fairyish it's kind of like love shack fancy vibes right you know what i mean the white one that i posted on instagram but it's black i'm like okay sweet the silvery boots and then i've got um like a head like a crown that's got like butterfly wings with like diamante so i'm like oh i'm gonna call myself a fairy because i don't want to go out for dinner and have like a full-on outfit you know what i mean it's like one of those good in-betweeny ones yeah but you can just shove on like some devil ears or some angel is and you're like yeah done one of those one of those situations yeah so yeah very basic bitch of me but at the same time I'm not gonna go on a full-blown I'm not going to a actual like themed party so I can't really go all out oh I'm not even doing anything for Halloween why am I so boring just you wait to the beginning of November. We're hitting the town.
Starting point is 00:39:06 Yeah, remember guys, I was doing a stay for October, so. Yeah.
