Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Tynies, we are back and we are ready to get into all your juicy dilemmas this episode. If someone... Sorry. If someone had done that to me, I would hold my ground and be like, I am not messaging. You're not just going to let this go. It's been six weeks. You're really going to let it go just for that. This is crazy.
Starting point is 00:00:15 It's not that bad. Come on, girl. You feel like, you can fuck off and jog on. If I can ask you one favor, can you please subscribe to our YouTube channel at Wednesday's podcast. Thank you so much. Love you guys. Okay. Dialma time.
Starting point is 00:00:29 I'm excited. So I'm number one. Hi girls, I really need your help with something that has been on my mind for a while. No matter what I wear, how much effort I put in, I always end up feeling insecure about the way I look. Oh no. I put myself apart in the mirror and I can never seem to shake it. I know logically that I should just feel good in myself. It's so much easier said than done. The reason I'm writing in now is because I'm going on a holiday with my girl group and I genuinely want to have at the best time. I want to feel fully present and make memories and not spend the whole trip worrying about how I look in a bikini or whether I should have worn something different. How do you actually build that confidence? Any advice on how to get out of my own head so I can just enjoy myself on the holiday.
Starting point is 00:01:12 Love you guys. I love you so much. I love you too. Firstly, I feel like this is like actually just like a brain pattern more than actually. A physical. Maybe something you feel, because you're like, even if I put an effort in and you're like obviously liking your outfit, you've chosen you're then like overthinking it and picking it apart. Rita, break the thought pattern.
Starting point is 00:01:32 I think so much of it is mindset. Easier said than done and fully aware. But I think it's a hard one. It's so hard and I do understand. Comparison is a difficult one because I think like especially like within girl groups, not that like any of it's intentional. But I think sometimes it's females that you do look at your friends and you're like that they're really skinny and she's got this and I don't have.
Starting point is 00:01:56 have that and it's like but everyone looks so different and I think it's just like I also do think like as cringe as it is like with age I never thought I'd be that person I think with maturity you kind of learn to like love who you are a little bit more I think I was so you care less in the best way in the best possible way but like when I was like in my early 20s I'd be like just kind of wanted everything I didn't have like physically and I would want to look I kind of remember wanting to like to look a little bit like everyone else whereas I feel like I feel like like in the more recent years, I feel like I love who I am more physically. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:34 And I'm more accepting of who I am too and what I look like. Yeah. I don't know, but then I look back and I'm like, I didn't think at all really about that. Yeah, it's this conflicting thing too because it's like you also have that mentality of just not giving a far. Yeah. But then also like... I think it's a thought pattern that this chick has... You've got yourself into a little, your knickers in a little bit of a twist by it.
Starting point is 00:02:56 And I think that there's really no need to. I don't know if you're worried about what they also think about you. Or if it's, you don't care what they think. It's just what you think, which I also understand. You know, and it's like people go, no one can notice that. And I'm like, I don't give a fuck if you notice. I notice. So, like, that's a really difficult thing to just sometimes let go of.
Starting point is 00:03:20 And you're not going to do yourself any favours. Just keep worrying about it and thinking about it. Firstly, everyone's probably doing that about themselves a little bit. That's just nature. I do think like we're at a time. And also like as girls, like we do judge ourselves more. Probably than guys just don't think about stuff. No, they don't.
Starting point is 00:03:43 And they don't care, which is sometimes great. And sometimes quite envious of like how boys are with one another in that way. Yeah. And growing up, that's never something that comes in the way of friendships or stops them from doing stuff confidence-wise because they don't care. Yeah, I agree. Whereas, like, if I didn't feel confident, I physically wouldn't go. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Like, this peri-year-old amatitis thing, stop me from doing things on the weekend. I was like, I don't want to go. I'm going to stay at home and cancel my plans. Genuinely, I get it. So when you're overthinking something, but I think pick an outfit that you feel like, you know what, I do feel comfortable in this and I do really like the outfit. And I'm not going to keep going back to the mirror. Yeah, that's a, yeah, I agree to stop going back to.
Starting point is 00:04:26 to the mirror again. It looks fucking great. I'm sure she looks amazing. And if you like the dress, that's fantastic. Wear the dress. We can't overthink it. I also think hormones have a big part to play. I think like depending on where I'm at in the month, it depends on how I feel about myself. And like, that week before my period, sorry, like TMI, like, I feel horrendous. Me too. I hate myself. And like, I think, how is my boyfriend with me? Why does you want to marry me? Genuinely, I'm like, I'm so ugly. I have no chance. I have no chance. my friends must be a bull bitch about me when I leave. Oh, I'm telling.
Starting point is 00:05:00 Who is the person who's made the video recently? It's like, oh my goodness, Grace Beverly. It's amazing. What a show? It was like, no, those aren't silly thoughts. You actually aren't fucking stupid. You're also really ugly. Like the ugliest person that's ever walked this planet.
Starting point is 00:05:16 All your friends fucking bitch about you when you leave. Your fiancé doesn't really want to be with you. Actually, he hates you. So all these things. And I was like, it's just so legit. What is that about? And sometimes, like, it could actually be a hormonal thing too, like, as well as womenated. There's so many things that girlies, like, we have to just kind of, like, carry on with, which isn't right.
Starting point is 00:05:36 But, like, we don't want to stop you from not having fun on your holiday. No, we don't. So I think let's just make a choice if we can. Put the dress on. Just put it on and go. I agree. Put it on go. Try your best to be present and have fun.
Starting point is 00:05:51 I also feel like the nights where, like, I don't feel so great or the days I don't feel so great. like I'm just less on my phone because I'm like I'm not inclined to take pictures I don't want to do pictures and those end up sometimes being the best best nights ever and maybe let's write down in the mornings I am beautiful
Starting point is 00:06:05 gratitude I love that I'm fun I love my friends they love me I like the dresses that I put on I felt good yeah and we leave it there start telling yourself you feel good too and then that does actually
Starting point is 00:06:17 that has been proven always to like actually work and manifest itself but I do hope you have the best holiday it's like one of those things if you seen would they like put the two plants next to each other and they say negative words to one positive to the other and the positive always grows a negative one. I've seen that.
Starting point is 00:06:30 It physically makes a difference. I don't understand how but energy is important. So let's just do that to ourselves in the morning. Yeah. In the mirror, just a quick thing of like positive words to yourself. Give yourself some good chat. Yeah. And we love you so much.
Starting point is 00:06:43 Love you. But also totally get it. Good luck. Have the best holiday. Yeah. Get some apparel's in there. Make some memories. Tell me number two.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Hi, Melissa. Ruby, I need you to tell me if I'm being completely unreasonable because I genuinely cannot tell anymore. I am a skincare girl through and through. I love the routine of doing my skincare in the morning. On a stressful day at work, the thing that gets me through is knowing my relaxing nighttime routine is at home waiting for me. Love that. Looking forward to original. When my boyfriend of three years, who I recently moved in with started getting into skincare, I thought it was cute. He was doing a sheet mask with me in bed and slapping on his loriel moisturiser before work. But now his interest has grown to the point where he has a longer routine than me.
Starting point is 00:07:24 He is gawasuring every morning and night. He has a five-step full-step routine, and he has just bought road eye patches that he wears on the walk to the gym. Oh my God, no, that's actually like weirdly, like so sweet. It's like making me want to cry. Sometimes I come home and he has a clay mask on. And honestly, it makes me jump when I walk through the door. Three years in, I am getting the ick.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Is this a justifiable ick? What do I do? Firstly, he's going to give himself peri-roll down the title. He's taking five steps. He's going to go. You're doing way down. I agree. You've got to strip it back.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Strip that baby back. I think I'd get you. The road patches, I think, is, like, weirdly, like, Toby once, I was given in the PR package, like, those star things years ago. Yeah. He was like, oh, can I have them? And I was like, why? And he was like, you don't have any spot? He was like, yeah, but, and put one on his cheek and was like, this looks quite cool.
Starting point is 00:08:23 It's Justin Buey. No, I get, okay, he's not left house. So I'm maybe thinking is the road. eye patches like one of those things where it's like it's a bit of Justin Bieber trend it's trending right now and it's quite cool for a guy to do girly things you know how it was like the pearl necklaces and the painted nails it became a thing and it became like a dress sense it did like machine gung gungeli vibes yeah is it like that but then the privacy of your own home with the claim last maybe not I have mixed emotions because I think that like I love that he's looking after himself and I love
Starting point is 00:08:56 that he's like sharing an interest and he's obviously finding it relaxing and I think it's great that he's like, you know, staying true to L'Oreal. But I don't know how I feel about the five-step routine and the wearing. The washer. I would love to know what his routine actually is specifically. Like, are we eye-creaming? Are we doing a retinal? Are we doing a double cleanse?
Starting point is 00:09:20 I'm assuming, oh, of the above. And is he going to like a facelist and like getting. this advice or is he going into space and K and going, so what do I do next? Like, is he gone on YouTube and like figured this out? I just don't understand. Maybe he's literally just copying her. And like, like, let's say she's got three steps. He's just added on a case. Does his skin look good? Does he look great? Are you? Because if he's got great glowing skin, I think that we let him carry on. I agree. I also would like to say like, if your boyfriend said to you like, kind of got the ick, like you're doing way too much with your skincare, you feel like, you can
Starting point is 00:09:53 fuck off and jog on. Yeah. So I don't know if. it's actually like right for us to pard judgment on this guy like he's sweet pee just like it makes me him break my heart of it I know him walking to the gym and the eye patches like him peeling them off the sticker I'm like sweet so sweet and it's no no it's him going onto the road website pressing check out express shipping two days I need these eyepatchers I think that men sometimes they crave a bit they crave a bit of that like less than they don't get to and I don't think I don't think I'd be icked out by Toby doing that, to be honest. I wouldn't be icked out by Gab walking to the gym with eyepatches on.
Starting point is 00:10:33 No, I wouldn't. Like, I would actually be like raised for your sweet boy. Yeah, it would make me like probably like love him more, sweet angels. So pleased with themselves with their eye patches. Gab likes a product, actually. They're hard own cash on that. Yeah, let them have it. Honestly, like, I think we get over it.
Starting point is 00:10:51 I agree. But I would also, from a perspective of care, reduce the skincare routine because he will end up with some more problems. He's overstimulating there. I agree. All right. Best of luck. Best of luck.
Starting point is 00:11:06 Okay. Dialama three. We're ready? Yeah, ready. Hi, Melissa and Ruby. I need your creative brains because I am completely stumped. My childhood breast friend is getting married and I'm made him on her. That's very exciting.
Starting point is 00:11:16 Which I genuinely have been waiting for my whole life to say. I'm so excited and I want to make this hand do absolutely perfect for her. Here is the problem. She doesn't want to go abroad. She doesn't want a spadeo. She doesn't want a nice dinner or a big night out. Every deer I come up with, she shoots them down, and I am running out of options. I love her more than anything, and she's so picky.
Starting point is 00:11:39 And I genuinely have no idea what to plan. Please help before I lose my mind. I just planned a bridal shower with my bridesmaids for my other friend. Right. So my other best friends are also bridesmaids, but that make sense. Right, got you. We did a chef. Nice.
Starting point is 00:11:55 So I would recommend maybe your grazing platter. with a chef to come and deliver a gorgeous grazing glass or you could make one yourself. Agreed. Go and get some picky bits of Momeness. Agreed. Best picky bits ever for Mennas. Do the whole food for MNS. Play some fun games.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Yeah. Totally. You could honestly have, you could keep it so relaxed. You could do a big grazing board. You could have some drinks. Also don't have to do drinks. Could do some like fun games. Could ask, could still do things like Mr. and Mrs.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Which I think is so fun. I think they're so fun. I think they're quite important. like memory making things. I agree. I would do that. Do something at someone's house or flat. Yeah. A grazing board. Yeah. So it's not a meal because she doesn't want this meal. Definitely the games. Then maybe you could turn it into a slumber party theme so that you all sit and watch how to do the guy in 10 days. Yeah. I don't know. Something cute. Could also like all make something for her. Like you could like come with like a memory book. Yeah. Just copy the memory book. And like that could be so sentimental.
Starting point is 00:12:57 100% And get like ask him All these questions beforehand Put it on like a big projector And you can all watch it together Like fun So fun And you can do it all on a budget
Starting point is 00:13:07 Like doesn't have to be a big costly thing No one needs to leave the country Doesn't need to be a big boozy night No Doesn't need to be a spa day She wants a whole day out Maybe just start with like what she normally does That she likes
Starting point is 00:13:18 Yeah Maybe it's a coffee and a walk Go and get a lovely coffee in a pastry And go on a nice walk I'd love to do that How nice is that And the art of just sitting down and chatting with your girlfriends. And it's just being a normal day out and there's no pressure of it being a hen party.
Starting point is 00:13:34 Maybe if she doesn't want it to be too hen-y, like don't do a theme. Or go out for breakfast. Brunch. Go out with some brunch. Go on a nice walk. Head back. Have the grazing platter. Do some games.
Starting point is 00:13:44 Maybe have a themed cocktail. That's quite a bad. That's fun. Oh my God. Everyone bring a board. Have you seen that? No. Everyone brings a, so let's say there's 10 of you, right?
Starting point is 00:13:54 Yeah. Everyone has a different colour and you bring a board. to the house of a colour or a theme or a... What do you mean a board? So you bring literally like a chopping board? Like a plastic ball, a tray, a nice tray. And everyone has a different theme. So let's say you colour coordinate.
Starting point is 00:14:11 So right, so someone's got purple. So you bring everything on the plate, the tray, has to be purple. So you get creative with it. You get fun with it. So you do purple themed cocktails. You do like a nice purple dessert. You bring some purple savoury thing. You do a great thing.
Starting point is 00:14:25 Oh, my God. That's so funny. I want to do that. And then you do all red, yellow, and people get really creative and come up with things that you've like never imagined. And then it visually looks good. Then everyone's chipping in. It's fun. It's fun.
Starting point is 00:14:37 It's so fun. It all, it doesn't have to be colour themed. You could do like Disney films. Yeah. Or like a flavour of something like strawberry. Yeah. A Disney movie. What reminds you of that movie?
Starting point is 00:14:46 You put it all on a bit like. Oh my God. That is so great. Yeah. That could be really fun. I've always to do that. That's a fucking phenomenal idea. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Oh my God. Have you seen the thing? On Instagram. Your TikTok algorithm is sensational. My TikTok algorithm is on the hendos, it's hendos, where the maid of honor gets the brides or her past boyfriends to wish a happy wedding. They were going to do that for my friend Livy's hen and they've someone vetoed it and I'm that happy. I think it's a good thing because I wouldn't want that. But like I'm just like it's funny to watch as an outsider when you're not affiliated to anyone involved.
Starting point is 00:15:20 100%. Then that's like great content. But like not suggesting she does that. But let's stick to the board theme maybe. That's controversial. That is like a fantastic idea. Yeah. And just different.
Starting point is 00:15:31 Yeah. And then everyone gets involved and then you're not having to solely be like, oh, I'm so overwhelmed because I've got to feed 10 people. And I've got to create the whole board and buy all the food. Yes. Or you could do like starter's main dessert and everyone like comes up with a concept. Or if she's got something like, let's say she loves. You do things that she loves.
Starting point is 00:15:48 I don't know. What does she? One Tree Hill. You do like a one tree hill. Oh, that's not a good analogy. I don't know. You could do a one tree hill theme. You could do a one tree hill theme.
Starting point is 00:15:55 I would love. love that. You would love that. Chad Michael Murray Picks everywhere. Yeah. Okay, well, good luck. I think you're going to fucking smash it. You absolutely will. If I was you, I would stop running ideas by her. Yeah, I'd almost... Because it sounds like she's not going to want anything. When she has it, she'll be thrilled. Yeah, she will. Give her options. Don't say, would you like this, yes or no? Would you like this or would you like this? Yeah. And then you're going to go down one path. And you make a commitment. Do you want to stay in and it be more chill? Would you like a mix? Or do you want to go out? Yeah. And it be out and about.
Starting point is 00:16:25 Tell me what you want. Pick one. Don't say no to all three. No. Difficult. But good luck. And please tell us and send us photos. Yeah, please.
Starting point is 00:16:34 Okay. But I learn the number four. Hi. I honestly love the pod and look forward to it every Wednesday. I have been seeing this guy for about six weeks. Things are going very well. He was lovely fit the whole package. We'd only just started staying over at each other's places.
Starting point is 00:16:48 So I was very much trying to be a very nonchalant, cool girl. One night at his, things were going great. In a moment of passion, I went to climb on top and go for it. I always get these ones. It's going to be about sex. In a moment of passion, I went to climb on top and go in for a kiss, but I completely misjudged the distance between myself and the headboard and completely smacked my head into it.
Starting point is 00:17:09 I just wanted to be really sexy and confident and completely embarrassed myself. I haven't right that. We obviously had to stop what we were doing, and I just ended up crashing in his bed. He was so cute and got me a bag of frozen peas, and we sat and bent in silence watching Love Island with me holding vegetables to my head. The next morning, out of pure embarrassment, I snuck out really early without saying goodbye. I know, I know, I felt terrible, I just couldn't face him. It's been a week and he is not messaged.
Starting point is 00:17:35 I really like this guy and I'm really gutted. Have I completely fumbled this or do I still have a chance? I'm very confused. I'm confused because I didn't feel that there was the need to just run out and not say goodbye. Same. And I feel like... He's probably like... Self-sabotage of it.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Yeah. But I'm also think that like... I'm also disappointed in him. He didn't message like, are you okay? I'm disappointed in him just not being like, hey, like, where are you? You're right. That you just left. Like, are you okay?
Starting point is 00:18:02 You hit your head. Like, you're like, there's no check in. So part of me is like, there's no check in. Like, where's the, like. I agree. Where's the fucking WhatsApp? Everything is okay.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Shevary these days. Well, I think he was chivalrous with the frozen peas. And then she left, which is quite fucking rude, to be honest, without saying goodbye. Yeah. So, like, he might be a bit angry. He might just be like, fuck this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:29 Yes. I would message and be like, hey, sorry for the radio silence. How are you? Yeah, I would do. Take responsibility for it. Take responsibility because I probably feel if you didn't run out and not say goodbye, like you would be speaking because you would have just left normally and there'd be no reason to not chat. I also would not have let the head bashing embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:18:46 Yeah, that's quite funny, like kind of goofy. I think it's quite cute. You just kind of carry on, like push through that shit. Yeah. Definitely. Hey, sorry. for the radio silence like how are you definitely and then just see where it goes from there also if you really carry on and play it cool i wouldn't bring it up and then if you don't be like oh my god
Starting point is 00:19:03 that that's just so embarrassing and i like can't if i did that crinned at myself but i also think if you're saying how much you really like him you're not just going to let this go it's been six weeks you're really going to let it go just this is crazy yeah i just you must message him i hope i think that we've sold the pieces of that puzzle yeah drop it a message if you're If he doesn't reply, we have to just accept. Exactly. Because if he wanted to do it. He probably has been nicked out.
Starting point is 00:19:31 Yeah. And you probably then pissed him off by leaving. If someone, sorry. If someone had done that to me, I would not message. I would hold my ground. I mean, like, I am not messaging. I'd be like, I just wouldn't get it. I don't know why you left.
Starting point is 00:19:47 Neither. I just think really quite weird. Strange. It's not that bad. Come on, girl. Like it's not that bad You've like hit your head a bit And then also you spent the night together
Starting point is 00:19:57 And he gave you peas Like he was like you had 12 hours to get To get over it It's really not that bad Anyway I hope that was helpful Sorry if we were a bit harsh But please don't do that to yourself again I agree
Starting point is 00:20:07 I agree Completely making it worse than it was Than the act I always think these embarrassing moments Right that happened to us You almost need like a guide book On how to recover Yeah
Starting point is 00:20:19 Because it's like There are these people in life that do really icky things but get away with them because they make a joke out of it and they just say the right thing afterwards. Humour. Yeah. That's how many... They don't add humour to things.
Starting point is 00:20:33 I think that's the key. So how would she have humoured her way out of that? I would have been like, oh my God, I've just ate myself out so much. I'm so sorry. Moll. I think I would have said that. I can't. But I also don't think it...
Starting point is 00:20:48 Unless I had a banging headache, I don't think I would have sort of stopped. I would go back in and try kiss. Was there an egg on the head afterwards? How bad are we talking? I'm assuming it was a big old smack for her to, it can't have been a little grazed to the head or not for her to then. And also for him to go to the freezer and get you peas. I think we can recover this.
Starting point is 00:21:11 It's not a big deal. I hope for your sake I know that there's like nothing worse when you're like, oh my God, I totally did the wrong thing. And you obviously really like him. So I do think you should message him. I get that you're embarrassed. But like, I promise you, like, girl to go, I don't think it's that bad. And I think you can come back from it.
Starting point is 00:21:31 This could have been way worse. Yeah. Like, way worse. Yeah. I think on our third date, Toby stepped in the biggest, the biggest dog poo. And it was actually the most icky, like, altercation that I've ever seen him get into. Ugh. It was bad.
Starting point is 00:21:49 That is a bit. Gross. But like if he then after that just then ignored me for me. Yeah, I'd be furious. I'd be like, what fuck? Trying to think if I've done anything like. You would then rack your brain to be like, right, is it related to that instant? Or is it completely separate?
Starting point is 00:22:04 It must be completely separate. Because why would that put him off me? This poor guy must be going, I'd be so upset if a guy did this to me. Same. I think you've got some making up to do here. Yeah. Maybe writing the memory book. I'm going to revert everything back to the memory book.
Starting point is 00:22:19 You know what you could do? which would be quite funny, is like, bring him some new peas or something. You'd be like to replace them. Yeah, that's a really good point, actually. Maybe message him be like, hey, so sorry for the radio silence. I've been willing to tell you, I've actually, like, bought you a bag of peas to replace the ones. And then you could, like, add some more frozen bed in. Oh, actually, maybe it's like better to not bring it up.
Starting point is 00:22:40 Or maybe just be like... And just be like, so sorry I had a really busy week. I should have messaged you. Yeah, hey, how are you? How often are you speaking? I'm assuming she... I've been seeing a guy for about six weeks. It's going really well.
