Starting point is 00:00:00 Hi guys, it's dilemma time coming up. Well, if there are no boundaries, let's show her no boundaries. Next time she comes over, put some sexy underwear on and open the door. Oh, yeah. Sorry. We'd both been sneaking around with the same person. I think this is the worst thing I've ever heard in my life. I'm glad that we've just, like, that relationship, it's just cleansed out of your system now.
Starting point is 00:00:18 God forbid Gab was to leave me tomorrow. I would be heartbroken, but I'd be okay. Do not let him back into your life. Guys, it's Dialema Day. Here we go. Here we go. Have you noticed how nice my lips look? I just think you always look like nice.
Starting point is 00:00:37 Right. So Ruby and I a few weeks ago were talking about this thing called Capitini, Caponi. Oh my God. Yes. Casey James's brand. Have you bought lip stain on? Yes. They sent it to me.
Starting point is 00:00:47 I'm so jealous. So Ruby and I were talking about it. I knew she did lip line and then Ruby was like, no, she does lip stain. I'm like, lip stain is like one of my favorite things. I don't know how we've survived 20 years of putting makeup on without lip stains. I agree. It seems crazy to me. And I was looking at them.
Starting point is 00:01:02 I was going to order it and then I just didn't because I was like, oh, it's going to come from Australia. Like, I would have bought anything you want back from Australia. They sent it to my house? They sent it to me? All the way from Australia? They sent it at me, yeah. Wow, it looks lovely. Do you have it on you?
Starting point is 00:01:15 I might try some. I don't have it on me. I was meant to bring it with me to give you to try. It's really lovely. It's honestly the nicest lip stain. Has it been on all day not moved? I will say I maybe have to reapply it like twice. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:26 But like that's much better than a lip liner. I agree. And it just. would go on even if I didn't have makeup on, like, I'd whack it on. It's also like, I find it really hard to find the perfect pinky nude. Like, they're either really pink, they're either really dark. Like, finding a lip contour or lip liner that works that stays on. I know.
Starting point is 00:01:48 And is your colour match is perfect. And also this, the other side of it, so it's like the pen on one side and the other side is just bubbly thing. It's cool. Like, you went to smudge it out? Oh, it makes it like less defined. I mean, I actually still use my finger, but then I do get like a stain. on my fingers, which isn't ideal, but it's sensational. You look so pretty.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Highly recommend. That's Capini, guys. Capini. So I guess I need to like buy the lip liner now to go over the top. To go over the lip stain. I think so. Yeah, I feel like it just looks more blended sometimes. Maybe I actually put a little bit of lip liner on right now.
Starting point is 00:02:22 I'm obsessed with this Charlotte Tilbury one. It's like a double-ended sit. I actually use it the first time sat here with you. And you know what's really upsetting? So it's double-ended and it's like, it's so. it's so good. And I think Sophie actually told me about it once because she was contouring her nose with one of the... Sophie loves a lip line on her nose. She's always done it. So this is the Charlotte Tilbury. I think it's called a lip sheet sculpted thing and I, this colour is so nice but you
Starting point is 00:02:47 can't buy it as like a singular thing. They have to have the dual ended one. I might try some after you. And it's the only one I really like and I'm like, can we please make this in a full lip line as it? There you go. It just just over that cupid's bow just does the job. Gorge, your lips are lovely. I feel so much fed of every time I put it on. Every single time. Going straight into it. Yeah, I'm ready.
Starting point is 00:03:09 No messing about it. Okay, hey, besties, I need your help because I'm losing my mind over my monster-in-law. Monster-in-law. Oh, God. Have you seen that film? I have. Monster-in-law.
Starting point is 00:03:19 Yeah. It's good. Every single week without fail, my boyfriend's mom comes around to do his laundry. Sorry. She doesn't just wash his clothes. She irons them as well. Actually, you know what?
Starting point is 00:03:29 You've taken the job off my hands. Yeah, fair. You do mine too? Yeah. I just know what it. His boxes have never been CRISPR. Lovely. Every time she comes around, she always picks, picks on me about literally anything.
Starting point is 00:03:41 Okay. The other day, I was wearing these gorgeous lace and silk trousers, and she lit me up and down and said, I looked like I was going to a 12-year-old's slumber party. That's very nice. Keep your opinions to yourself. Yeah. Last week, she turned up at 9 p.m.
Starting point is 00:03:54 unannounced with a pot of homemade chili conkani because she could sense he was fancying it. Oh my God. that's a bit odd. Meanwhile, my boyfriend just stands there saying absolutely nothing. They never do. They never do. All of these scenarios, all these stories I hear, the boy, just, just, just there.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Happily taking the chili like this is a normal thing that happens to grown men. I've tried to be mature about it. I've told her politely that we need some boundaries. Her response is word for word, darling, we're family, there are no boundaries. Word for word. Gosh, she told her. I don't want to be the villain here. And I know she loves him, but I feel like a guest in my own relationship. Please help.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Love from Anonymous, Gisk, guess. I always find that, like, family situation dramas, the hardest. Because I feel like when it comes to your mum, like, the only person that can ever, like, have a moan about it is yourself. But you never want to hear, like, you can say it. Or, like, my mom's really annoying. But, like, if anyone else, God forbid, said it, like, I'm not having it. So you just got to be really careful with what you say. to your partner about their mum.
Starting point is 00:05:03 You need to sit down with him because, like, this is not fair that it's falling on you and just be like, love your mom so much. But you need to your own laundry. It's actually really unattractive. She can't be turning up at 9pm.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Like, we could be having sex. Yeah, that would. It reminds me kind of of like the bunny and Charlotte thing in Sex and City. Yes, I know what you mean. What was his name? Trey.
Starting point is 00:05:26 Charlotte's boyfriend. Trey. Trey McDougal. Her husband's and then Bunny McDoodle was the mum. Yeah. She was so obsessed with her son. Like had to be there for everything. I would let herself into the flat like just be there.
Starting point is 00:05:40 And like when Trey had a cold, Bunny, the mum would come and like rub vapour rub on him. And she was like, can you fuck off? Like my husband. It's like women in their sons. It's weird. I'm very lucky that my mother and nor is an absolute dream and like the most chilled sweet lady ever and she has three boys.
Starting point is 00:05:57 I'm also lucky my future mother-in-law has two boys. doesn't have a girl and she is so normal. So we have none of this. None of this. It does happen at all. So what do we say to? Listen, you've got to sit down with your boyfriend and be like, it's really unattractive.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Firstly, that you're allowing this to happen because you're pushing 30 or whatever old he is. And your mum is still doing your laundry, folding and ironing your boxes for you. I also don't like it that you're having to say like, we need to put some boundaries in place and she's not having any respect for you saying that just going, no family, there are no boundaries.
Starting point is 00:06:31 And your boyfriend is not sticking out for you saying anything. He has to. What's going on? Sorry. Also, I never want to hear from anyone like there are no boundaries in place. Like, that's kind of rude. Well, if there are no boundaries, let's show her no boundaries. Next time she comes over, put some sexy underwear on and open the door.
Starting point is 00:06:46 Oh, yeah. Sorry, we just. Just giving him a blowjob next school. I hope you don't mind. We've got a couple minutes left. Do you mind just taking your seat here and I'm going to go and finish that off? You have to just maybe play her at her own game. Maybe you do.
Starting point is 00:06:58 I think that's what you've got to do. I think you've got to like play her own game a little bit and then also have a stern web with your boyfriend. Yeah. Stop the laundry. It's so unattractive. Let's pay I hate ironing to do it. They're great by the way.
Starting point is 00:07:12 They're fantastic. Come to your door. Same day delivery. Yeah. They'll iron your bockies if you need them to be ironed. I hope he does make an effort with his mum. But like just turning up unannounce I would find a bit much. It really is giving bunnies.
Starting point is 00:07:25 I also think when you speak to your boyfriend, you need to be like, this is what we're doing, rather than giving him an option and being like, this is my home, you are my partner. I love that you have a great relationship with your mum, but this isn't working. Her just like completely turning up. Also, it's making me feel like you're telling her, like, I'm not cooking for you or like looking after you properly, the fact that she's just like bringing food round. Imagine if your mum was doing this.
Starting point is 00:07:46 He wouldn't be happy with that. No, he wouldn't. It's just so weird. I do think there's like a strange boundary though until you're like engaged or married and where they like think that it's okay. Yeah, and just look after them. I'm literally imagining Bunny from a sex in the city
Starting point is 00:08:01 It's textbook this textbook And in the end I think Charlotte won I would have thought so I think she did actually She walked in on them having sex She walked into them having sex
Starting point is 00:08:14 She unlocked the door Bunny oh my god She walked into them having sex She was a Oh hooh oh and she literally laughed like all flustered I feel like if you do that she'll never do it again That's what you're going to have to do
Starting point is 00:08:24 You're going to have to make something happen here hon Yeah I have faith in you. Keep us posted though because we love it when you guys follow up. So let us know. And also like we need to be actually really careful with how we approach this with the boyfriend because as you said like, you've got to be just very careful in your delivery because it's their mom. It's their mum.
Starting point is 00:08:42 And like you obviously don't want to upset him and you don't want to upset the mum. So pick the right time, but also be firm. You usually like I love your mum so much. Start it with a positive, I think. Yeah, let's shit sandwich this. We love mum so much. I think she's fantastic and obviously appreciate that she is doing so much you because she loves you. However, it makes me a little bit uncomfortable that she will just turn up in the night and
Starting point is 00:09:08 like I'm trying to be polite and just have a normal conversation with her about it. And then she tells me that there's no boundaries. It makes me think there's no way of me having my own privacy or respect. I agree. And way to live my life at my own home. I want to say something to her, but I don't think it will land very well. I think it would be better from you. How do you feel about it?
Starting point is 00:09:27 Yeah. How do you feel about this? Like, are you okay with it? Because you're almost flipping it onto him. And you're not actually, you've not said that it's made you too uncomfortable. You're asking him. I like that. I like that.
Starting point is 00:09:39 Okay, good luck. Love you so much. So guys, we've got dilemma number two. Now, this is actually a follow up and we get so happy when you guys follow up with us about the couple that then became a thruple. And the girl actually ended up wanting to spend more time with the third person in there. relationship so they've written into us. Oh, I wonder what she's decided to do.
Starting point is 00:09:59 So I'm going to read this out loud. Okay. Hi, Ruby and Melissa. I was so excited to hear you talk about my dilemma. Honestly, thank God you did because I was in desperate need of some advice. But now the situation has changed and I need some updated advice. So last time I told you that I was falling in love with the third in our relationship called Ashley.
Starting point is 00:10:15 Oh, yes. I decided to listen to your advice and sit down with my boyfriend and talk to him. He said he also had something he wanted to tell me. I hate it when they said they've got something to tell you. I hate it. I started to explain the whole situation and he looked completely shocked. Oh. I felt so guilty, but turns out he wasn't shocked for the reason I thought.
Starting point is 00:10:33 He told me that Ash... Oh, fuck. Oh, fuck. He told me that Ashley and him have also been hanging out together alone and sleeping together without me. Oh, see, what the fuck? I was like, I really wasn't expecting that. My boyfriend was sitting down with me to tell me that he wanted to break up with me and just be with Ashley.
Starting point is 00:10:54 I genuinely didn't know whether to laugh or cry. We'd both been sneaking around with the same person making up some fake excuse at staying at our friend's houses. So manipulative of Ashley. That is awful. How is she doing this? And neither of us had a clue. Obviously I called Ashley straight away. She told me her feelings for my boyfriend were too strong to ignore it.
Starting point is 00:11:12 So she basically broke up with me in front of my boyfriend. And then my boyfriend broke up with me. It was a double whammy. Oh, Angel. So now I've lost my boyfriend and the girl I thought I was falling for. And because my ex-boyfriend owns the flat we've lived in, I've happened to move out and she's moved in. Girls, how do I even begin to recover from this? I think this is the worst thing I've ever heard in my life.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Oh my God. I'd be so upset. Oh, my God. Well, there's nothing you can do. This is, you know what? It saved you a lot of time. Yeah. I'm glad that we've just like that relationship.
Starting point is 00:11:43 It's just cleansed out of your system now. It's done. We've learned from it. It obviously wasn't your person and neither was she. No. But it was all like experimental. it was a lesson, you would have learned something. And, like, I actually think, like, shame on Ashley because she do...
Starting point is 00:11:59 I don't know how your boyfriend's also not like, whoa, you were really, like, more lying to me that whole time, like, sneaking around with my girlfriend as well. Yeah, like, I would be so upset. I also just think that's so manipulative about Ashley because she would have obviously... Well, she was lying to both of you. Yeah. So I don't know how he could then be in a relationship with her. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:12:17 Because she lied to him so much and she's just hanging out with you. That's their fucking problem now. Yeah. but also like channel this whole new excite like into excitement like you're single you're going to find somewhere new to live yeah like that's all a fun it's a lot of life change it's a lot of life change the moving house thing being single you sort of find your new identity and there's also this thing of like oh okay it's like kind of self-inflicted because we invited this person that you could have said no to that or like i don't know if it was all decision i can't quite remember now um but it's a
Starting point is 00:12:46 really firm good lesson that you've learned yeah i agree still young and i are young hot and single and it's going to be a whole new... Where are you living now then? I would love to see a photo of the three of them. Yeah, me too. Also like, so where are you living? So you've had to move out because she's not said. She's not said if she's even found anywhere.
Starting point is 00:13:04 The logistics, I know what it's like moving house. I really feel for you on that front. It's a lot. At least there's a distraction of that moving house. Yes, they can fill your time. Rather than you just start like thinking about the heartbreak of the whole thing. I agree. We need to get stuck into a program.
Starting point is 00:13:19 Highly recommend Smallville. I need to watch. this. There's a lot of episodes to watch. Okay. A lot happens. Maybe I'll start that tonight. And it's very light. And like at the end of every episode, it's like kind of a happy ending. Like Clark Kent saves the day. So I think just get into something that's going to distract you. Or watch Sex and City because I feel like that's always good. Makes you feel better about being single too. Yeah, I agree. How have I recovered from a breakup? I feel like time is your biggest healer. Like every day it will get a bit easier. I think throw yourself into like, obviously
Starting point is 00:13:47 trying to find a new place to live. Your friendships will all become stronger. I've said that before. Like, you'll really realize who's there for you, who you want to hang out with, who makes you feel good. I would avoid alcohol for a bit at this early stage because being hung over and like nudie single can actually be rough. And being drunk. I hung up like when you're part broken is quite rough. I know because then you often end up crying. Sort of like look for them everywhere where you are. Yeah, you do.
Starting point is 00:14:10 It's true. Not a vibe and they can just like become quite depressing. Yeah. But I think. What did you do that made you feel better? You can do like top three things for post breakup. God. I never sat in silence.
Starting point is 00:14:22 I always had like some sort of upbeat, like wholesome background noise, sex in the city or friends or something that. Werely, I don't know why that helps. It just does. It does. I would always be like talking,
Starting point is 00:14:34 like making plans like at least once stage because I felt like the loneliness felt like heavier. Yeah, I agree. Like you could probably spend the same amount of time alone in a relationship than you could single. But when you're alone in a relationship, your mental state doesn't feel like you're lonely. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:49 Whereas when you're single, I'm like, Like there's no one else coming back. I'm never going to see anyone tonight. I'm not seeing the same person in the morning. It feels lonely. There's a real void. Yeah. It feels heavier. Especially if you've lived with him. That's going to be quite a big change. But I think if you're in a new environment, much easier. I also think it will be weirder for him with Ashley moving in. I also think that will not be what it's cracked up to be. That's going to be new, exciting. It would have felt like sneaky, almost like an affair. And then actually, I think that reality will hit home. And things will come to light that maybe it will
Starting point is 00:15:20 won't work, very quick for her to just be moving on in. But also like, it's going on there. It's not that glamorous moving in with someone. Like they've only just seen each other like you said in like an affair setting, right? Where that's like hugely romanticised. It's all fun and exciting and it's so new. And then suddenly you're living with that person and like... How long have they been dating for her to move in?
Starting point is 00:15:41 It feels really inappropriate and quick. It feels very quick. I feel like also relationships, this is not always the case, but relationships that don't start morally in the right way where there's been like sneaking around and you start something on that basis. They don't always end well. No, they don't. Most of the time they don't.
Starting point is 00:16:01 From experience with friends or people that I know that have done that. I always think that like when these girls have an affair with someone and then they're like they're in a relationship or they're married or they have a girlfriend and they end up together, I'm like there's nothing stopping him from doing that with you with someone else. because it just shows that he is that type of person. I agree. Or she is. It just makes me think like, but yeah, you did it with me.
Starting point is 00:16:26 Yeah, you're going to do it again. You're going to do it on me. Yeah, to me. Yeah, to me. It's a scary thing. But that's, you know, that's Ashley's problem. Yeah. I think let's just heal, work on ourselves.
Starting point is 00:16:37 It's, there's so many, let's read some books. Yeah, reading's great. And also like you'll start, it's like a weird. Triumph is definitely the wrong word. It's like a challenge a break. up where because I've now done it and I feel like I did it well even though it was so awful I feel like if I had to do it again I could do it again I've always thought yes and I've also thought I'll never feel as bad and as sad yeah that is rock boss as in like that's the saddest that
Starting point is 00:17:06 emotionally that I was going to feel in terms of a breakup yeah there's nothing going to be worse than that because I feel like I felt it I did it and I survived it yeah that you know god forbid gab was to leave me tomorrow I would be heartbroken but I'd be a good okay. You'd be okay. I would be okay. And you'd get there in the end. And I would get there in the end. I would make it out the other side. Whereas previously I've thought, I don't know if I will be okay. I've genuinely thought that. I remember someone like reading something on like Instagram and this girl was talking about her breakup and it actually like gave me all the pills. And she goes, I did everything. I don't even mean this darkly. She's like, I did everything in that breakup,
Starting point is 00:17:42 die. Like she's like, I felt every feeling under the sun. And I was like, do you know what? Same. Why is it so powerful? It's so powerful. I feel like humans fall in love so much and it's just like actually like feelings are really strong. So strong. Like completely overtakes everything in your life, in your body like. You're going to be fine. Well, as in like everyone goes through it and you will be okay.
Starting point is 00:18:04 And like this is a great lesson as well. Yeah. And also you know what's quite nice about this? It's completely out of your hands. Yeah. There's certain breakups which are difficult because you're like, oh, wasn't right. But like I still really love him. Like you can't even go back there.
Starting point is 00:18:16 No. He's in love with someone else. Yeah. That is chapped at close. I agree. And I think it makes it a bit cleaner in that way. It does. Because you're not thinking about the what ifs.
Starting point is 00:18:23 No. So you've not broken up with him. Like that's not a nice position to be in either way. You're just then feeling so unbelievably guilty for the other person. That's true. You're going to be okay. I have faith in you. You're going to be absolutely fine.
Starting point is 00:18:34 And I'm excited for you. So am I. Although it's going to be really hard. You're going to be okay. And then it's going to become really exciting. Yeah. And it kind of comes in waves. So prepare yourself for like, there are going to be days where you feel great.
Starting point is 00:18:46 And on top of things, There are going to be days that are just a bit heavier, but you're going to come out the other side. I wonder. I just don't think they do. They say after three months, they hit a real low. Yeah, because boys, I feel like, process it after. Later.
Starting point is 00:19:01 Later. Well, maybe that's what's going to happen to your boyfriend. Maybe. Do not let him back into your life. Maybe he'll come running back. Because I can sense that happening. Please know, no. Please let us know if, like, if he does where you move to.
Starting point is 00:19:14 We need little updates. Yeah, I'd love that. Okay, right. ready for the next one. I'm ready. Okay, number three. Hi, girlies. I need advice. ASAP. I've just moved into a new house share and one of the girls, let's call her Jess, instantly adopted me. Oh, that's so sweet. She was so welcoming and we've done everything together. From pre-drinks and skincare nights to sharing clothes, I thought I'd found my new best team. So do we think she's moved to London, like found a house share online. I kind of feel like it. Facebook. Yeah. Or like Sparroom.
Starting point is 00:19:46 So it's brave, I think, when people do that. So brave. Moving him is someone you don't know as well. So one Saturday we went shopping together Everything's going great Until I look over and see her casually Sliding a Saturn mini skirt into her tote bag Oh my God Then a lip liner I asked her what she was doing
Starting point is 00:20:01 And she told me not to worry about it Fuck You need to not associate yourself Yeah I agree you can't When we go outside She was literally buzzing and said she gets a hive from it Now I'm all for chaos But stealing is where I draw the line
Starting point is 00:20:14 The problem is I still live with her Our bedrooms share a wall She's already asked if I want to go shopping again do I confront her or is it better I just ice her out. Oh my God, that's so hard because you're going to go shopping with her again. I would avoid shopping at all costs. In this day and age, I don't know how you're getting away with that. Yeah, they do I.
Starting point is 00:20:29 Because I swear cameras, like, catch everything and they have like, there, da, da, do, like when you leave. There's cameras everywhere. And I also would be so, like, obviously I wouldn't steal. But you know how, like, everything is viral and online? And you see these, like, recorded camera clips of, like, people, like, leaving restaurants, leaving nail salons, like, stealing, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:46 I'm like, God, can you imagine, like, that, like, circulating the internet. I would be mortified. The one time I stole, I was in pre-prep and it was someone's, I've told this story before, it was someone's show and tell, never forget it. And this one girl put like the cake things, you know, like from a wedding cake and you have like the man and the lady. You know like these little toys that sit on the top of a wedding cake.
Starting point is 00:21:08 Oh yeah, yeah. And it was her parents from their wedding cake, like wax figures of her parents. And I thought, oh, I'll have those. So during the lesson I went for a wee and we had all our stuff on pegs in the corridor and I went into her bag, took them, put them in my bag, felt fantastic, sat down and then I was like, this horrible feeling came over me. It was so strong.
Starting point is 00:21:29 I can only have been about six. Anyway, it was so strong and I was like, it obviously was guilt. Yeah, that's what that feeling was. That was your first feeling of guilt. Went back for a win and then put it back in her bag and then I never thought of it again. But like, it was like the worst feeling I've ever found my entire life. So listen, I think advice to you. I would
Starting point is 00:21:48 She's really fun and really nice Like she's obviously like got this weird Thing right She needs help with that She does I don't know how you're like an addiction to some people Like stealing She'll get cool
Starting point is 00:22:01 And she'll get found out She'll learn her lesson She will But I think maybe you just Explain that you feel really uncomfortable Be like I feel it It really makes me so anxious and stressed
Starting point is 00:22:11 And like Love you to bits But like I can't be around that And like I just need you to understand that so my boundary is and I'm really sorry. I agree. But like I just can't.
Starting point is 00:22:20 And like I worry about you getting caught and like that's not good. Like that whole thing isn't good. Yeah. I think it's fine to be honest about that. If she gets weird with you then you need to probably move out. Yeah. Then that's her thing. I would avoid shopping with her.
Starting point is 00:22:31 Like I wouldn't want to put yourself in that situation. Like that would just give me anxiety the whole time. Yeah. But I think like if she's like a good person and you like, you enjoy hanging out with her still like be nice to her and be friendly but just don't go shopping. But if you keep seeing things. I know. I don't know. And if you see it again or whatever, I would pull her up. And I would be like, hey, like... But what do you do? You live with her. I know. And you can't exactly call the police.
Starting point is 00:22:57 But this is a really difficult position. This is a really difficult position. It's not like it's a recurring thing that you're witnessing either. It's the fact that she thinks that you're going to be comfortable with her doing it also is strange. Like, keep shit like that secret. Like, don't involve me in your crime. Like, so confident to just like show the new flatmate. No shame. No shame. She will get caught. People get caught. Like it's like you can't do that forever. Well, sending you loads of love, this is really difficult for you. And I appreciate that you want to like have a fun time living with her. And then you have morals.
