Starting point is 00:00:00 Hey, Tynies, welcome back to Wednesdays coming up. I think it's every girl's dream today a boy that's not on the internet. I agree. Someone doesn't have Instagram. Oh my God, Green Flag. Justin Bieber's dad is on this year's series of The Traitors Canada. Is this confirmed? He is quite fit.
Starting point is 00:00:16 I was in a house with Justin Bieber's dad. Like, respectfully, I'm just asking a million-on questions about Haley and Justin. Like, don't re- Oh, I'm being so nosy. Timmy. Timmy. Hi. How are you, my Tim? I'm good, Tim. How's the house move going?
Starting point is 00:00:37 No, it's moving house. It's so stressful. It's actually not stressful. It's just a lot of shit. It's just like a lot of stuff. It's like relentless. It's time consuming, but quite good for like a nice good purge. I feel like you can just cleanse. I also think when people move, like if you're moving from one house straight into another house, it's actually not that bad because you just pack it up and then it's just in the new house like a day later, right? Whereas mine's like half of it's going.
Starting point is 00:01:01 to storage and then I've got to think, right, so what am I going to need for the next four months? Mm, do I need all these spices in my spice cupboard? No. Do I need all these supplements that went off four years ago? Maybe not. No. Like the purging is crazy. Crazy sort-outs. But you'll feel good and you'll, you'll like, do you know what? I read a quote actually on Instagram and the art of having like a really clean, organized house is consistently getting rid of things. And I actually think that that's so true. Just getting rid of things the whole time. You got to do it as you go. And be cut through.
Starting point is 00:01:34 Yeah, you've got to be cut through. There's no hoarding going on. And there's no sentimental value and things really. Well, I'll be in London very soon. She's been packing. I've been. And you know what? I actually haven't started packing yet.
Starting point is 00:01:44 I wasn't sure when to pack. I'm coming with a very, I'm not really bringing much because I want to bring a lot back. So I'm coming with a light suitcase because I actually want to bring quite a lot of stuff back from my mom and dad's house. Like I get a lot of PR sent to London. And there's a few. bits that I would quite like to bring back. Like, obviously not all of it.
Starting point is 00:02:04 And also just like, I feel like every time I go, I'd bring a few stuff. I still have some clothes there. But, you know, things you just don't think you'd wear. And then you suddenly think like, like, I didn't pack very well for like winter here. So I didn't bring like any like zip ups or cardigans or jumpers or jackets, which I regret. And there's some of my mom and dads that I'm like, I loved. And like my American vintage cardigans, like, there's a few things that I'm like, oh, I really miss that.
Starting point is 00:02:27 So, yeah, I'm going to go light. And I'm going to bring back a lot here. that's the plan. When you come back here, I think it's going to alarm you. It's like warm. Like, look at me. I'm in a T-shirt. It's the same degrees.
Starting point is 00:02:38 It's like 23. It's like I've not put a jumper on yet. That's so nice. It's nice because it's mild. But also, I thought we were in for a really wet winter. We're in for a really, really cold winter. Oh, you? So it's like extreme seasons.
Starting point is 00:02:53 So I'm excited about that. Okay, nice. Which I think is great. I think it's so great. Like someone here the other day was like, oh my God, you're going back to London next. week like is it freezing and I literally looked at the weather and I was like it's the exact same temperature as it is right here right now in Australia. I'm like so weird. Oh it's the same as Australia.
Starting point is 00:03:12 When you said it's the same I thought you meant like it's been the same temperature all summer for us really and I was like kind of has been but my God. So what are you wearing day to day? I wear like I feel like I've just dropped the jacket. No I don't wear short. I wear like you used to wear a jacket and now I don't because it's getting warmer. It's like 24 25 now. So I'm in like a vest and like trousers or leggings really everyone calls them pants i feel like i've started to do that what do you mean trousers are pants trousers are pants trousers are called pants very american and i feel like i'm like reach here i'm like hey do you want to wear these pants then i catch myself and i'm like what it's trousers and they also call vests tank tops and also flip-flops the thongs
Starting point is 00:03:55 and i've realized thongs i've started this whole australian lingo thing it's really quite sticking and I really need to be reminded of my culture and my roots. Thongs are not thongs, they're flip-flops. You do. A tank top though, I feel like that's quite normal. Is it normal? Don't we call a tank top a tank top? I would say a vest if I was like, I wouldn't probably say a tank top. Yeah. I'd be like, I'm just going to wear this vest. But then to me, a vest is going to go like under my school uniform. Yeah. A vest is like, And give me an extra layer of warmth. Yeah, it's like a layer of warmth.
Starting point is 00:04:35 It's like a vest you wear under your ski clothes. Like that's a best. Yeah. Or it's like a thermal stitch. Or I would say like... But then a tank top's a tank top. But maybe that's because I've taken on some American lingo. Have you ever watched Smallville?
Starting point is 00:04:47 No. Should I have? I need something new to watch actually. So do we love Smallville? Never heard of it either. Forget about Chad Michael Murray. Forget. It's all about Tom Welland.
Starting point is 00:05:00 No, no. Google him right now. Tom Welling. I've never seen. It's like he's AI. It's almost like he's actually too good looking. And he's got these like big blue eyes, this like thick brown hair. He's six foot three.
Starting point is 00:05:14 And he's like this superhero in this program called Smallville. I'm like, he's so phenomenal. Yes, I know this guy. He's in a few things. He's in cheaper by the dozen. He's in cheaper by the dozen. He obviously don't know if he's aged that well, but he was, was hot.
Starting point is 00:05:32 No, he hasn't, he hasn't aged that well. And it's really sad. Shame. Because he was just gorgeous. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. So yeah, that's my new thing. Forget about One Tree Hill, forget about Chad Boken Wray. It's all about Smallville.
Starting point is 00:05:47 And Lana Lang and Clark Camp. It's so good. But let me warn you, like, the first season is really budget. And, like, it's, like, really, like, kind of crappy teen dramay. And it's kind of, like, superheroy. It's, like, really, really. budget. As the seasons go on, it just gets better and better and better. It's also just an easy watch. Okay. And like, the cast is really good. Like, really good. Okay. I need it. I'm obsessed.
Starting point is 00:06:11 So obsessed. Also, it's just on. Like, he's getting me through this move. Like, I have it on on my phone, just propped up in the corner and I'm, like, sorting through, like, my underwear drawer or whatever. And it's just, it's really saved me. Okay, good. He's a superhero at many ways. Wow. I just haven't here for that, Tim. I'm here for that. That's my That's my new obsession. I have finished the gentleman as I finished that last week. Oh, you finished it? Because when we last spoke, you hadn't finished it.
Starting point is 00:06:39 So now you know, so now we can talk about it? Yeah. Well, actually, I might spoil it for people. The crazy brother. Well, spoiler, yeah, don't just skip past this. I really just don't understand why him and Suez aren't together. Oh, I know, Susie Glass. I think he is the fittest.
Starting point is 00:06:56 He's my biggest celebrity crush right now is Theo James. Right. Mine is definitely Tom Welling. It's his name, Theo James. Yeah, that's his name, Theo James. I thought it was my friend's husband. My friend's husband's called him. I thought he just said his name, but I didn't.
Starting point is 00:07:16 It's Theo James. What's the girl's husband? Theo something. I think there's someone with a Jay. And I suddenly thought maybe he's called Theo James. I've just called my new friend here, by the way. my biggest celebrity crush is him. Oh my God, that's so funny.
Starting point is 00:07:32 Oh my God, I'm dead. I want to talk about Justin. Yeah. Okay, guys, if you haven't heard, Justin Bieber's dad is on this year's series of The Traitors Canada. Is this confirmed? It just feels like it's crossing a boundary
Starting point is 00:07:44 and I don't know why. Does it to you? I know what you mean. Yeah, it does a bit. I also just think it's like so random because he's not doing it as a career move. He's doing that because he really wants to be on the Traitors Canada in my mind.
Starting point is 00:07:59 Is it so? Celebrators Canada or is just the normal traitors Canada because I'm like, you are kind of famous to your son. I get that. I don't have Joe. Don't know what Justin Bieber's dad looks. Quite handsome. Really? Yeah, yeah, quite handsome. He's got these younger kids because Justin's got all the, I know all about celebrity children. It's really bizarre. He's got these like younger siblings that are like, like Jackson's like 12. So his dad went on and had this younger family. And he's quite hot, Justin. He's like a good looking older man. Justin Bieber dad. Jeremy Bieber.
Starting point is 00:08:31 Jeremy, Jezzer. Here we go. Jeremy. He is quite fit. Yeah, he's awesome. Oh my God, he's quite cool. He's cool. There's like a bit of swag.
Starting point is 00:08:42 Okay, so it's a mix of celebrities and normal people from the general public. He looks like he should be in prison break. Do you know what I mean? Like, he looks like a character in like one of those TV shows. He kind of dance. Also, really just Justin Bieber with like 15. 20 years added on to his age. Oh my God, Justin's so cute.
Starting point is 00:09:04 I really hope that the dad does him justice because I would really like be in panic stations. I'd be like, we need to get you seriously media training. I agree. Because there's no filter with the shit like that. I don't think it's kind of like a big brother vibe. Like everything is filled. Also like all the other celebs, like wouldn't they just ask him so many questions about
Starting point is 00:09:26 Justin Bieber? If I was in a house with Justin Bieber's dad, Like, respectfully, I'm just asking a million-on questions about Haley and Justin. Like, don't re... Oh, I'm being so nosy and intrigued. The views would be crazy. They just won't care about the game and just be interested in the fact that it's Justin Bieber's dad. I just, I do think it's crossing a boundary.
Starting point is 00:09:48 I think he's too famous for his dad to get on that. I agree. I agree. Like, it's... Like, what is he gaining from that? Obviously, and maybe he's just a huge fan at the show and it's like going to be super fun. I would find that difficult. I'd be stressed.
Starting point is 00:10:01 I'd be very stressed if I was like Haley and Justice. I would too. Don't know why. I would too. I'd be like, I just don't know what you're going to say. I know. And he's obviously a good guy like, you know, he's not necessarily even saying anything bad, but I'd just be panicked. Yeah, like lack of control.
Starting point is 00:10:13 Like when you're that famous, you try and keep so much private and then that when you do that. I'll be tuning in. I'd actually quite like to watch that. Should we talk about this online, offline relationship thing? Yeah. That's this really interesting. like Vogue article that's come out. Yeah, so recently Vogue published a piece titled Can I and a hot internet it girl successfully date a man who is offline?
Starting point is 00:10:41 I can imagine that sparking like actually quite a lot of conversation. I, in my opinion, like, absolutely. I think that that's great. Yeah, 100%. I think that you can have a really, I actually think like some of the healthiest relationships, there's secrecy and privacy are very different things. I think you can be known to have like a partner and post photos of them and like it be known that you're in a relationship and you're on a committed happy relationship. But then there's one thing like
Starting point is 00:11:09 almost like selling your soul with a partner and like vlogging and doing all of that. And I think sometimes those relationships that are so exposed and everyone knows every single ounce of their daily routine and their life can often, this is very much a opinion, sometimes be not particularly healthy if you're living, breathing, working with your partner and the interstate. knows every single thing about you guys. Like those big family accounts. Like I don't know how I feel about it. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:11:37 Like, I think actually keeping it quite private and having boundaries, still posting about them, but not vlogging like from 9 a.m. till 9 p.m. Yes. I think you absolutely. Like people are also following you for you as the hot internet girl. They're not necessarily following your relationship. They want to know what you're wearing, where you're eating,
Starting point is 00:11:58 what you're doing, where you're hanging out. Not like everything with you and your partner. I think it's every girl's dream to date a boy that's not on the internet. I agree. It's such a green flag. Who wants a man that's like consistently posting a photo dam? Someone doesn't have Instagram. Oh my God, green flag.
Starting point is 00:12:16 Like that was actually on my list of like things I was after when I was single. And then I met Tobs, who is on the internet, like not actually like chronically. I wouldn't say that Tovey's like actually really an influencer. I think she's saying the contrast. this guy's completely offline. So, like, he's never had an Instagram account, like doesn't really know what anything is. Perfect.
Starting point is 00:12:36 Obviously, he doesn't have TikTok. It's amazing. It's, you know what? Also, like, it's kind of like saying, I work in a coffee shop and my boyfriend works in the city will his relationship work because his, I'll work so different. Like, I don't think that you have to be in the sick. Like, you're probably not going to understand a single thing about his job.
Starting point is 00:12:57 That's okay. It's so true. Like, Gavin tells how. is like I honestly would not know like how that, how someone does that. Like we're like, oh, I don't know how to sponsor allows. Or someone's like an oil broker or works in AI coding or something. I mean, I think you can stretch this like topic quite far. But I honestly think it's it's a dream come true if someone's completely offline.
Starting point is 00:13:25 I agree. I think that it's a great thing. And also quite fun to be able to talk about like your. your careers and your lives and not to be fully intertwined and to actually like learn from one another like that's quite fun. And you actually can tell. Yeah. It's telling someone something about yourself that they don't already know because they're not online is probably quite fantastic. I agree. Like I can only imagine, do you remember when you used to watch like film back in the day like a love story or something? And it would always be like a famous guy who is like a singer
Starting point is 00:13:55 and he found this like poor girl who was like, damsel in distress. trying to make ends meet, yeah, who didn't know who he was. And that was the only reason why he liked her is because she didn't know who he was. Oh my God, it's so true. And they had such different lives. It's so true. And he would always have like a million girls trying to get with him and then he would go for the girl that had no idea who she was. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:18 Yeah. And that is why when we used to go and watch Justin Bieber's children, we would pretend to not look at him in the eye and he was on stage. I'm like playing hard to care. I'd be like, I can't look at you. And then in my head, I'm like, but he knows. I'm not looking at him and he keeps looking at me. Yeah. Such a good analogy.
Starting point is 00:14:35 I'm not interested in you. So good. Question. Before you and Gavin started to date, did you do some due diligence? I did, yeah. Obviously, he was like on the internet. That was probably quite easy for you to find out of star. I did a bit of Googling.
Starting point is 00:14:49 Did you find anything good? Do you know what? Like, he's actually quite private that I didn't really find much. But I did Google, I did Google image. I went really far back on the Instagram. I went on tagged photos. I did like everything I could. I ended up on his LinkedIn.
Starting point is 00:15:07 I've never been on LinkedIn in my life. Do you have a private setting on your LinkedIn? Otherwise he would have been alerted to that. I didn't, but I wasn't on in my LinkedIn because I don't have a LinkedIn profile. You can just go on to LinkedIn from Google. Oh, only on some accounts. Oh, fine.
Starting point is 00:15:22 So you were lucky you could see that. So I could see his account without having an account, if that makes sense. But yeah, I did my due diligence. And nothing, I didn't see any major red flags or any even minor red flags. It's just good to find out. It is good to find out. The basics of somebody isn't it? Did you Google, have you, did you Google Topes?
Starting point is 00:15:40 Well, we kind of started talking on the internet anyway. So like, when I was, I was on his Instagram, we were talking. So, like, naturally went through every single video and tagged that I could find. As you do. And then you show all the friends and it's like, don't you dare like one. And then it's like daunting because you're back on. Oh, don't. The anxiety when you hand your phone over.
Starting point is 00:15:59 to someone and you're like down on photo from five years ago. Okay guys, we are moving on to Spilling the Tea with him. This is actually my favorite segment of the podcast. I'm so excited. Okay. Is it? Yeah, it is. I love it.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Okay, celebrity encounter from Alana. Hi, Alana. She has written in saying, hey, Melissa and Ruby. I have a celebrity that I know Melissa will love. Like Melissa, I am a huge... I know where this is going. A huge fan of this country. Around two years ago, my boyfriend bought me
Starting point is 00:16:35 to this country fan tour to go around Sire Ancester and all of the different places that they filmed. Honestly, it was the best birthday present that anyone's ever got me. After the tour, we went to the train station and we saw the one and only Daisy Mac Cooper. My heart honestly stopped. I instantly walked down the platform,
Starting point is 00:16:54 leaving my boyfriend behind me. I explained about the tour we went on and her mouth dropped. We spoke to her right up until the train came. We asked for a picture, but she said no in the nicest way because she wasn't wearing her new makeup. How iconic is that? She is the nicest person, honestly, and it made my birthday a million times better. Love Alana.
Starting point is 00:17:13 Oh my God, how great is that tip? Oh, my God, Alana. You love this country. So this tour, I have a feeling that's like one of our friends. Sam is also a huge fan of this country and wants to take us on this tour. And you know who does the tour? Daisy May Cooper's dad in this country is her real dad in real life and he does the tours.
Starting point is 00:17:36 Oh my God. So you actually get to do the tour with Martin Mucklo. With Martin Mucklo. Which is pretty cool. That is brilliant. Also, yeah, and also in this country, like she has no makeup on there. The whole thing. Like not a scrap.
Starting point is 00:17:51 The whole series, not a scrap of makeup. And it's always in a low bun. Like a ponytail and then a slick, through low button, like down here, really like mask clothes. Like, it's always like a Swindon shirt, like Swindon football shirt or something. Oh. And that, so that really shocks me that she was like, no, I'm really sorry. I'm not wearing any makeup.
Starting point is 00:18:14 I don't want a picky. Yeah, that surprises me too. Her whole look, the whole series. It's no makeup. Was so like. Oh my God, that's so funny that her dad does the tour. But she is. I got it.
Starting point is 00:18:25 Yeah. She's actually, I don't want to give the game away too much. Halloween is coming up. Oh. Are you having a thought? I have some plans. No. Oh my God.
Starting point is 00:18:35 I'm desperate to see. Me and Tobes have some thoughts. Oh my God. On what we could do. We just need someone to throw a Halloween party because... You just need somewhere to be. No one's said they're going to do it yet out of our friend's group. I know.
Starting point is 00:18:47 And my friend group goes big. Like, did you see when Ali, my friend Ali, like, painted her whole body bright yellow to be Marge Simpson? So if we went as carrying it out and people would be like, what? I think it's so cool and I think you should. It's not like a classic. I'm going as a skeleton. No, but that's so boring. Okay, right, I'm going to do the next one.
Starting point is 00:19:06 Hey, girls. This is such a random celebrity encounter, but I knew I had to send it on. I work in Whole Foods in quite an affluent area of London. Okay, right, let's just take our heads. Probably not the Kings Road. Could be. Could be. Big new Whole Foods there.
Starting point is 00:19:22 I love walking around there. And there's obviously one on High Street, Kent. There's quite a few. Yeah, yeah. There's a few that side. Okay. So I often see a lot of celebs. A couple of months ago, I saw a well-known celebrity chef come into the shop.
Starting point is 00:19:36 And thankfully, they came to my till. I was buzzing. At first, it was a really nice conversation. But when I told this person how much money they owed, they looked up at me blankly. This person's smile instantly dropped. They said, don't you know who I am? No, they didn't. No!
Starting point is 00:19:51 You should be paying me for shopping here. Oh, come on. What? I was so nervous and didn't know what to say, but they came. kept going on and on. I explained that they had to pay, even though they were a celebrity share, then they dropped their shopping bags to the floor and was mumbling under their breath, I used to be a national treasure. I don't know if I'll be able to watch one of their shows again without being reminded of that horrible interaction, lots of love anonymous. I just don't believe
Starting point is 00:20:20 people go around in this day and age being like, do you not know who I am? Like, does that actually come out of people's mouths? I used to be a national. Treasure. Okay, I'm trying to think of what celebrity chefs I know that would be in London, that live in London. You don't ever think that any celebrity is ever going to be horrible. This is the problem. I know. And that's why people get really upset when they say, don't meet your heroes.
Starting point is 00:20:43 It's so true. Because they're very often disappointing. Disappointing. Okay, so we're about to find out who this celebrity chef is, but we actually can't tell you guys because we might get sealed. So. Peace out. We're going to find out. What?
Starting point is 00:21:00 Okay. Oh my God, that's so disappointing. I've heard that that person has been rude. I've heard, I've heard this through the grapevine. Really? I've heard that person is a nightmare to work with. Did you not just tell everybody? Also, like I would have told all my colleagues,
Starting point is 00:21:18 and hopefully if someone else was watching that happen. And also, the general public would have seen that happen. Like, what? I also don't feel like you ever just go into Whole Foods once. Like, if you, like, live nearby, like, you're probably pop in a, the time. Also, who is demanding a free food shop? Like, that's such a strange thing to accept, expect, to be given for free?
Starting point is 00:21:37 It's wild. People are wild. Who used to be? A national treasure. What a thing to say about yourself? What a thing to say? I always say Jamie Lang's a national treasure. He kind of is.
Starting point is 00:21:52 He kind of is. He kind of is. He kind of is. A full household name. Guys, if you spot it, a celeb in the wilds let us know email us on wednesdays at jamport productions dot co. dot UK or you can DM us on Wednesday's podcast on Instagram. Love you guys. Love you guys.
