One of the most difficult things to navigate in life is what to do when you fall.
Every day when you get out of bed, life's standing right there to kick you in the face, man.
You're going to have sometimes low moments when you won't want to get out of bed.
You just want to stay there.
At times you won't want to come out of the house.
Why do that happen? I don't know.
It's called life.
And you have to deal with it.
There are moments when you're going to doubt yourself.
Hold on. Hold on. Don't you surrender now. Don't you quit now?
Their rough times are going to come, but they have not come to stay. They have come to pass.
Don't say I'm having a bad day. Say I'm having a character building day.
You see, the fight's not over if you've been knocked down. It's only over if you quit.
And you don't have to quit. The story you tell yourself, if you say we can't rebuild it, if you say we can't do it,
then you're just talking yourself out of the possibility.
The problem is not your problem.
It's your perception.
How do you see it?
Because if you think wrong, you go wrong.
If you think down, you go down.
If you think you can't get up, you can't get up.
If you think you can't be free, you can't be free.
If you think you can't learn anymore, you'll never be able to learn.
Your thoughts are either dragging you down or taking you up.
When you have goals and dreams, think it not strange at your face the fiery furnaces of this world.
You will, not you might, you will, have tribulations.
But in the midst of it all, you've got to believe it's possible.
This two shall pass.
It's always possible.
Who told you that it wasn't?
It's always possible.
I don't want reality right now.
I'm not interested in how much your student loans are.
I'm not interested.
I got a divorce and right now I just can't, I'm not interested.
I lost a child and you don't know what it's like to.
I'm not interested in your reality right now.
It was a tragedy, yes, it was, but you can't stay there.
You can't keep waking up to that.
I want you to get back to your dreams.
We all go through pain, get a reward for yours.
Stop looking at reality.
Don't focus on the problem.
Don't focus on the amount of work that you've got to do.
Focus on the vision.
Everybody can see.
Everybody has sight where very few people have vision.
You can if you believe you can.
For every minute that you think you can't do it,
I need you to offset it with dreaming about the fact that you can.
If you have a 30-minute pity party,
I need you to have an hour success party.
You've got to have a dream party every day.
You've got to have a dream session.
You've got to take out 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes,
how much time you have?
And you've got to actually go in a room, close the door,
And you've got to see yourself doing it.
You've got to feel yourself doing it.
You've got to actually walk in it.
You've got to go in the future, live it out, come back in the present, and start working toward it.
I want you to feel it.
I want you to taste it.
Just like when the weather is changing, you can feel it.
I want you to be able to feel when you're getting closer to it and closer to it.
Spend some time throughout the day thinking about, looking about, feeling about, dreaming about what you want it to be like.
Start working and developing yourself now and prepare yourself for what it is that you want,
because you expect to get it.
There are no limits, but the ones you place on yourself.
A lot of people have given up.
A lot of people have stopped dreaming.
Don't you stop dreaming.
Don't stop.
Don't stop.
Don't stop running towards your dream.
You've got to back up sometimes.
Regroup and not give up and come back again.
It is the rubble of your past that is going to become the foundation of your future.
And whatever it's about to be built next in your life, it's going to be built off of the stuff that you have already been through.
I have strategies that I engage in to recharge my batteries.
I have programmed for myself.
I have books that I read that inspire me, tapes that I listen to that fire me up.
I'm preparing for that because I know things are going to happen that I cannot anticipate.
But I refuse to give up on my dream.
In the prosperous years, you put it in your pocket.
And the lean years, you put it in your heart.
It makes me appreciate it even more.
Dang, nothing is dangerous as somebody who's making a comeback.
You haven't had a fight till you get in the ring with somebody who's making a comeback.
You haven't been through hell till you run up and punch somebody who ain't got nowhere to go but up.
Through trouble.
Already been embarrassed, already been humiliated, already been disgraced, already been talked about, already been laughing, already had my feelings hurt, and I'm still here.
Baby, I've been busted, I've been disgusted, I've been knocked down, I've been picked back up, I've been frustrated, I've been angry, but I am still here.
I need you to look at yourself and say, I can do this. I can make it.
Yes, I can.
There's some way this can happen for me.
Doesn't matter how many failures I've made.
Doesn't matter how many mistakes I've endured.
Doesn't matter about my defeats.
Doesn't matter about what I've done.
Yes.
I don't care about the fact I'm in a hole now.
Doesn't matter about where I am.
The last chapter to my life has not been written yet.
If you judge me now, you'll judge me prematurely.
I haven't exposed all my stuff yet.
I'm still in the process of transforming my life.
I'm still in the process of becoming.
Yes, I am not phenomenally steel, but phenomenally will.
I will not give up.
I will not surrender.
I will not quit.
Every time I get knocked down, I will get back up and I will succeed.
I will not surrender.
Today might not be today, but soon it will be my day and I will recycle my pain.
Today and today, but my day coming, and I will not give up, and I will not give in until I get to that day.
I will not stop.
I will not give up.
I will not give in until my day comes.
Maybe you've taken a knockdown concerning your finances lately.
Maybe with your marriage, maybe with your health, maybe some other arena of life.
Maybe you received some news recently that just sort of knocked the wind out of you.
You're laying on the mat, gasping, and you don't know what you're going to do.
You didn't see it coming.
You're going to have some ups and you're going to have some downs.
But during those down moments, that's where the growth takes place.
I need you to be highly conscious of when you fall to the floor.
When you quit, when you lack perseverance and grit.
I need you to be conscious of it.
When you're knocked down, it's very easy to go, this is a problem.
I'm the problem.
This is going to last forever.
I'm going to stay here punishing yourself.
Stop beating up on yourself.
You do do it.
I know you do it.
I've done it.
No, no.
You ignore that inner voice.
I got me here.
I can get me out of this.
And I'm getting out.
I'm not going to be a volunteer victim.
We all going to go through pain.
Some of us stay there.
We all go through pain.
But some of us stay on the ground and cry about it.
Some of us get up.
And I need you to get back in the game faster.
That is a goal I want you to have for yourself.
I want you to hold all.
It may not happen in the time that you think is going to happen, but I want you to know something.
If you quit, if you give up, if you stop.
If you do not persevere, it's never going to happen.
You close, boo, don't give up now.
You close, my brother, hold on.
You keep going.
If you persevere, trouble don't last always.
Every storm that's come, it will pass.
Your day is coming in.
Hold on.
It's not that you don't deserve it.
It's not that you're not a good person.
It's not that it will never come to you that.
coming your way. It's coming your way. But don't get bitter, get better. You close now. You
could taste it. And the enemy know you could taste it. But you ever notice that the closer
you get to that thing, the more he's going to discourage you, the more he's going to try to break you,
you're close. You close. It's yours. You can see it. It's possible if you continue to encourage
yourself, if you're willing to put in the work. You can do it. You can do it. Oh, in those
moments in the middle of the night, when doubts start keeping in your mind and you wonder where the
you have what it takes and sometimes you wonder if you're going crazy,
trapped by economic necessity,
and you don't know if the clock is going to run out before you can live up to your dream.
You don't know how you're going to make it.
You know your paycheck's gone before you get.
You still got to believe.
You got to believe.
You got to see it.
You have to believe in the unseen.
Because if you believe in it,
you demand the universe to assist you in what you're doing.
And if you can see it before everybody else can see it,
you will manifest it.
Have to live the law of expectation.
You have to expect your life to be better than it was,
and it will be.
There is no reason why it won't be.
And you gotta walk in it.
You gotta walk to the child,
and if you like you know, you got it.
You gotta sit out and take that chest like you know.
You're about to lick it.
I need you to expect it.
You're gonna pass this thing.
You have to stop accepting the reality of other people,
and you gotta accept your own reality.
I walk in my reality.
I don't walk into other people's limitations because you can't do it, because you can't see it, and don't mean it can't happen.
Who can guarantee that you can't make it, that you can't have your dream?
Who can guarantee that you can't do what you want to do?
No one can predict that.
It's just for them, they can't do it.
So because they can't do it, they don't think you can do it.
So people will try to put their limitations on you.
You can't do it.
Don't put your limitations on me.
I'm dead to your limitation.
Your limitation don't exist in my world.
Those are your limitations.
I ain't got nothing.
I expect to be phenomenal.
I don't expect anything else but phenomenal.
Failure is not an option.
You have to have patience.
You gotta have the ability to wait stuff out,
to hold on and hold out.
You gotta have patience, that fortitude to say,
even when you don't see physical evidence,
when you don't see any external activity,
any external outcomes, you still believe you could get it done.
It is the ability when you have a chance,
ability when you have a terrible day to wake up the next day and act like ain't nothing
happen and you get up and you pursue it as if you're starting all over again as if
you got a chance this too shall pass like every storm that has come to you every
single storm this too shall pass gross compared to diamonds what goes into it you
just can't walk up and take up a diamond what goes into it the effort to get to it
to make the transformation that's what the difference is you look at your stop a lot of
People run from that. No, you don't want to run from that. You're willing to step up to that.
Hey, it's hard so what. But it's worth this price I'm going to pay gladly because that's how you will discover the secrets of life.
True joy and beauty and meaning in life.
