Many of us, when you get X number of hits, life can take so much out of you.
My mother was dying of breast cancer.
I was going through a divorce, and then I was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
I was out of my mind.
I wasn't myself.
Life can catch you on the blind side, can hit you so many times.
You can't think straight.
When you're in your dark place, you're ready to quit, you're ready to give up, you're ready to give in,
because it don't look like you think it should look.
A lot of people become discouraged.
They become frustrated.
And they say, oh, what the heck.
And they surrender.
Life will trample you.
It will suck the life out of you.
It is literally at the darkest moment when it dawns.
You don't really even get to the next level to your darkest moments.
You can only see the stars when it's dark.
So that's why I'm saying, stop tripping when it get dark and you run it.
You're running from your success.
We need defeat because iron sharks.
It's some crazy stuff going on right now, but what I will not do is allow that craziness to penetrate me.
I remember people would call me, it's like, yo, I'm going through a divorce, or I didn't pass my boards, and they would be discouraged.
Oh, I got feeling depressed. I'm going through it. It is a part.
It is part of the process. It's part of the journey.
You give me three minutes and give me your story, and you got 15 minutes and give me a solution.
My wife left me, and what are you going to do about it? Is she going for good or are you going to get her?
If somebody came and knocked you down
When there ain't nothing you can do about it
But if I come back a week later
You're still on the ground
We got a problem
It doesn't matter what happens to you
The only thing matters
What are you going to do about it?
That's all that matters
Okay, life knocked you down
What are you going to do about
How long are you going to sit there
And say you know what they did to me
Use that energy to get up from there
And move on
And get on with your life
No talking about problems
Only solutions
Don't complain
Don't murmur
Don't talk negative
That's average.
Average people talk problem.
The greats talk solutions.
It's my problem.
I'm coming up with the solution.
I will not complain.
I will not worry.
I will not pray.
I will find a way when there is no way.
I will find an opportunity when it doesn't exist.
But I will not be defeated.
Give it all fear.
All fear, all doubt.
No more self-doubt.
No more self-destruction.
Just self-discipline and self-development.
something has happened to you
and it happened a year or two ago
that happened this or something that,
you got to get over it.
Your past happened
and should you be excited about all of it?
Absolutely not.
But it is your losses
that will give you a fire.
It is your losses that will humble you.
It is your losses that will give you a drive.
It is your losses that will allow you
not to make the same mistake over and over again.
You're going to have to be your own hero.
You can stop waiting for it.
You can stop wishing for it.
You can get on with the rest of your life.
I can't let this mistake I made hold me down for the rest of my life.
I messed up, but I will not allow this situation to define who I am.
I just love myself enough not to be trapped in the same dog-on-spot for the rest of my life.
I will turn this thing around.
I will.
You better go inside.
You're still looking outside for the stuff that's already inside.
You're still looking for someone to save you when you're already your superhero.
You're looking for some information from somebody when you already got what you need in your head.
It's just time for you to get up and be the best version of you.
I want you to look in the mirror and I want you to tell yourself, I am a survivor.
You got to start thinking in ways you never thought before.
When crises strike in your life, and in a Chinese language, crises mean danger, but it also means opportunity.
And this is an opportunity for you to grow.
Persistence, patience, perseverance.
When something doesn't work, there's always another solution.
There's a way that you can begin to handle this.
There's a way out here somewhere there's a solution.
Where there's a will, there's a way for me to begin to create a way out of no way.
That you're always looking for a way, that you can break through, always looking for a way,
that you can win, always looking for a way, that you can strike a telling blow.
And if you keep on, hit that wall.
It is as if the universe says, let's help him out.
I admire that kind of tenacity.
Let's center assistance, center resources.
It will come out of nowhere.
As you're working times with tears falling down your face,
and you'll look back on the times,
and you will cherish those times.
You can get through this.
You just got to work a little harder, right?
You just got to press a little deeper.
Keep moving forward.
Keep moving forward.
Keep moving forward.
I just need you to keep walking toward it.
I just need you to keep moving.
And I need you to believe.
Just believe.
You got to go with faith.
Sometimes you just got to say,
I'm just going to do it.
I just believe I can do it.
I don't care how long it's going to take.
I don't care how much money I'm going to take.
I don't care.
I'm going to make it happen.
You've got to be out of your mind to believe.
In spite of these numbers, you can still lake it.
In spite of the pain you're feeling, you can still come back again.
You've got to be out of your mind.
That's right.
I believe it.
Sometimes feeling lonely and crying and feel like your back is pressed up against the wall.
You got to believe.
You rise to the level and do what you got to do.
I'm not running away.
I'm going to learn.
I'm going to fight.
I'm going to work.
I'm going to breast sore.
I'm going to grind.
And I'm not going to let anything stop me.
What would your life be like?
If you decided I'm not going to allow my fears to stop me.
If you decided to want that which you desire so strongly that you experienced the fear and do it anyway, what would your life be like?
The strongest people can sit still when all hell's breaking loose in their life.
They don't let their emotions take over.
They stay calm.
They think.
They process.
They plan.
They adjust.
They take action.
They don't let what's happening outside of them to dictate what happens inside them.
Your problem is your pain has identified you.
Your pain has weakened you.
And some of you, as long as it's a perfect day, you operate at excellence.
But as soon as the circumstances change, you quit, you give up.
You will never be a diamond like that.
Are you afraid?
Yes.
Are you going to fight?
Yes.
Feel the fear and fight anyhow.
If you ever go through something, hold your head up.
If you ever make a mistake, hold your head up.
Do you ever do something that everything goes wrong?
Life catch you on the blind side?
Hold your head up.
And sometimes you think you know how it ends.
But what if it's not over yet?
What if it's not over yet?
What if your best days are not behind you?
What if everything that you have been through can serve a greater purpose?
What if a generational curse was being broken through your battle?
That which does not kill you will make you.
stronger. In the problem with some of you, you don't have no drive. You ain't got nothing
pushing you. You ain't got no reason for pushing past that pain. You have no reason. You better
find one before you get out of here today. What is it that will give you the drive? What is it
that will ignite the courage in you to get up and come back again and again and again?
How is it that you would be able? What reasons that can tap in to that deep down feeling that
goes to your gut that no matter how many times you'll get knocked down,
that you're coming back.
What is it? Write it down.
There's some things you're about to get,
but you've got to understand they don't come in regulation.
They come in overtime, and so you're going to have to tarry a while.
You can't just quit and give up on it because it's not coming in the time frame you thought it was going to come.
You just can't quit and give up because it don't look like you thought it should look.
Things ain't going the way you thought they should go.
No.
Some things coming overtime, so you're going to have to learn to wrestle with it.
You're gonna have to learn to fight with it.
You're gonna have to put in a little bit more sweat, a little bit more blood, a little bit more tears, but you gotta wrestle with it.
Just because it don't look like a blessing, don't mean it ain't a blessing.
Delay don't mean denied.
Delay just mean you're gonna have to wait a minute.
This way you start separating the successful from the unsuccessful.
When the unsuccessful are in delay, they get nervous, they get worried, they give up, they quit, they stop, they surrender.
Because they don't see what they think they should see.
But when the success are in delay, we work while we wait.
We grind in between time.
We don't give up.
We don't surrender.
We don't quit.
We see differently.
Our perspective is different.
And because our perspective is different, our outcomes are different.
Our rewards are different.
Because some of you like them putting in work, I don't see it.
Keep going until you see it.
Don't quit.
Don't give up.
You hang in there.
Because if you quit right now, you ain't going to never see it.
You ain't going to never get it.
But if you hold on, everything you just,
dreamed of. Everything you envision, everything you work for is coming. You are the captain of your
shit. You are the master of your life. You can have it. You can do it. You can be it.
