Sooner or later, you will run into something that makes you question everything you thought you did well.
You haven't lived till you fell so badly that you wonder, will I ever get back up again?
Discouragement is what brings a mighty man to acting like a weak man.
Your greatest hour is usually right after your worst hour to spare.
You've just gone through a breakup.
Some of you, you lost your job, and it's the worst thing you've ever been through.
And so all of a sudden you're sitting there and you're thinking, man, I thought my life was together.
Now it's in shambles at my feet.
No, it's not.
No, it's not.
It's all right.
It's going to be okay.
It'll be okay.
Hold on to that fundamental quality of faith.
Have faith.
And on the other side of your pain is something good.
What you're going through right now is necessary because what's happening right now is you are
forging the skills. You are forging the determination. You are forging the grit. You are
forging the fortitude. You are forging all the things that nobody else is gaining because they're
sitting on their hands and you're willing to push through. People are judged by how high they score
on aptitude tests, personality test, achievement test and crap like that. Ain't nobody ever
designed a test that can measure the heart of a champion. You got that.
heart get some heart what you want me to tell you to accept the life that you've been
given you want me to tell you to give up you want me to tell you to quit that's what you want
to say well listen to me I can't tell you that I'm not about to tell you that you're
going to keep that cycle boy I'm going to tell you to break that cycle I don't care
where you are use what you got to get what you want use your mind use your vision
use your dream as a man think of so as he think your way out of it
Grab your way out.
It's only so far your little 6-6 going to get you.
It's only so far your money.
It's only so far your car gonna get you.
When you're going up against certain things,
your bank account can't do it.
Only character can.
It wasn't easy for me to get you where I am right now.
I got here from my mind and I envisioned it.
I saw myself when I was still homeless,
when I was still a high school dropout,
when I was sleeping in the abandoned bills and eating our trash can.
I saw myself one day being where.
right now and if you can see the invisible you can do the impossible the moment you make up your
mind to get up you can get up and no devil in hell no system no government no power no
pause no community or anything else can hold you once you are free in your mind you are free
and you got to get to a point where you are so locked in you are so centered that you don't hear
anything around you, all you hear is the dream saying, let's go, ET, ET, let's go,
ET, come on, one more class, ET, one more embarrassment, ET, one more hour, ET, push,
ET, push, ET, push.
What you don't realize is that all the hell you're going through in the process is preparing
you to make the dream become a reality.
Your hardships, your challenges, your situation will either be the reason you don't make it,
or it will be the story you tell when you do make it.
And you get to make that choice.
It doesn't matter where you come from.
It doesn't matter what your background is.
It doesn't matter what race you are, what gender you are.
For every excuse you can make, there are thousands of people who had it harder than you that have done what the fuck you want to do.
You got a mind.
You got a heart.
Stop making excuses.
Yes, it's going to be hard.
Yes, it's going to be difficult, but you can do it.
