Starting point is 00:00:00 The following podcast is a dear media production. This is Well, a podcast about wellness in all its forms. I'm Ariel Laurie, and each week I'm sharing unfiltered conversations with the people shaping how we feel, live, and look. Come for the substance, stay for the honesty, and leave with the tools to be well, inside and out. Today's guest is somebody who really needs no introduction, but I'm going to give her one anyway.
Starting point is 00:00:31 I am so excited to have Stasi Schroeder on the show. She is a best-selling author, a podcast host, an entrepreneur, and honestly one of reality TV's most iconic personalities. And she is entering a brand new chapter with her new series House of Stasi, which premieres July 29th on freeform with the full season streaming the next day on Hulu. The show follows Stasi as she returns to reality TV on her own terms, balancing motherhood, marriage, friendships, and career while letting cameras back into her life. And we discussed that in today's episode, but we're also leaving a lot of the reality TV drama, Bravo drama behind and getting into the conversations that I know you guys love most, which are beauty, confidence, wellness, and what it actually looks like to feel your hottest as you get older. So we talk about the beauty habits that she'll never give up, the luxury products that she thinks are worth the splurge,
Starting point is 00:01:29 the trends she wishes would disappear forever, why she genuinely feel. more confident now than she did in her 20s, but the caveat to that as well, which I found to be pretty interesting. We also get into motherhood, marriage peptides, EMS workouts, walking in the Sports Illustrated runway show, why failure ended up becoming one of the best things that ever happened to her. It's honest, it's funny, it feels like eavesdropping on the kinds of conversations that women have behind closed doors. I know you guys are going to love it. So here's my conversation with Stasi Schroeder. Welcome.
Starting point is 00:02:05 Thanks. Okay. Before we start recording, I was listening to your podcast and we have something in common. What? Which is that we're both watching Euro Chelsea on TikTok. The girl rowing to Hawaii. Yes. I haven't heard anybody else talk about this yet.
Starting point is 00:02:20 Really? No. My TikTok algorithm has gotten so strange. Like I've ended up in places that I'm just like, yeah, what's happening here? This doesn't make sense. But I'm really invested in. in, it's like she could. I can't think of many things worse than what she's doing.
Starting point is 00:02:38 So for people who don't know, there's a woman who's rowing in basically like a glorified kayak. Yes, from California to Hawaii because she wants to be, someone's already done it before. So she wants to be like the first, the youngest fastest first. Yeah. Yeah. I mean. But she's just out there in a rowboat filming herself in the middle of the ocean.
Starting point is 00:03:00 You know what I mean? Basically a robot. And she's gotten caught in storms. Yes. She's gone swimming. You can, yes. Never. I could.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Have you seen this, Tessa? She's just, oh my God. She decided I think I want to go take a swim. I would take a dip. You're in the middle of nowhere. No one can save you. No.
Starting point is 00:03:19 And you want to just. You don't know what's down there. You want to risk it like that? Also, there's storms and like you can't really sleep. You can't sleep eight hours, obviously. Yeah. Because you have two options. You can drop anchor.
Starting point is 00:03:29 I've gone down such a. I didn't know you could drop anchor. You can drop anchor, but then you lose so much time. And then if a barge is coming, the amount of time that it takes for you to get the anchor up and get out of your position, it's very risky. So the better thing to do is to coast and keep trying to like ride the waves of where you're going. Yeah. And only sleep for teeny little increments and then wake up and keep rowing. Horrible. There were these two girls that did it. They went from South America to Australia. They were on the water for like almost 300 days. Wait, they did it together.
Starting point is 00:04:04 Yeah, together. Oh, they were like, peeking together. I could maybe get down with that. For 300 days, I'm like, oh, my God. It's crazy. Anyway, I heard that and I was like, thank you. Because I was so riveted by this. Yes.
Starting point is 00:04:14 And I had nobody to talk to about it. She's still out there. She's still out there. She's still out there when this podcast episode drops. Oh, my God. For sure. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:24 So wild. She's just in a boat doing the same thing every day. And like, life is happening to us. but like she's doing the same thing every day. So crazy. Anyway, what else is on your TikTok algorithm? Like really weird stuff. Like I literally just got dropped in a place where they're like,
Starting point is 00:04:42 I don't even know how to explain it. Okay? So like it's like in another country and it's like this, can I just show you? Yeah. Let's compare. How did I get here? And I commented so that people would tag me and be like, no, I got dropped here too and it's so fucking weird.
Starting point is 00:04:59 And sure enough, somebody did. So, like, maybe you can tell me what this is. What is this? What is this? Is that, like, Eastern Europe? Yeah. Yeah. But that's where I'm at.
Starting point is 00:05:19 And then what's after that? I'm dying to know. Like, what is the... I am very much into... This might surprise you. Okay. I surprise myself. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:28 I'm watching wives or girlfriends make lunches for their husbands at, like, in the morning. And some of them are like disgusting. And some of them are like gourmet. Like, wow, you really put effort into this shit. And it is so not on brand for me. Because like, I don't cook. I like, don't care. Like, I don't know my way around a kitchen at all. And I'm very much like, no, my husband serves me. So like it just like not on like, it doesn't make sense. But I'm like, like, I just like can't stop watching it. And now my kids will watch it with me. No way. That's what I think they do so well. This is an episode about TikTok, by the way. Everybody is like they feed you things that you don't even know that you want. I'm on like giving birth TikTok.
Starting point is 00:06:15 I don't want kids. And I learned so much. That's so crazy. Yeah. And it goes from like giving birth to like throwing girl. We're all going to be on the same algorithm once we're done with us. Anyway, it says a lot about us. I don't know. I love talking about my TikTok algorithms. It's one of my favorite things. I miss when my algorithm was just like strictly. like old castles in Europe and stuff like that. And now it's like sat. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I talked too close to the sun and now I'm here. Do you ever think about something and then it shows up on your algorithm? You know, people say that. No. It happens to me all. Like things that I have not said out loud, that I haven't looked up. I know our phone is listening. But not something that I've seen. Literally like a thought. I've heard this happening. Yeah. I have, it's yet to happen to me. Okay. Well, it will. It will happen. It will happen.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Okay, I want to start with, let's see. Oh my God, those are really small words. Yeah, I'm sorry, guys. I can't. Tessa, love you, but this is, thank, thank you for validating me. You never had a shot. Everyone on YouTube, I tried doing this. She tried doing no part because this is what we're dealing with.
Starting point is 00:07:21 And I literally, I went to the eye doctor on Friday and they were like, you have one working eye. I'm like, I know. So this is not. Wait, that's another thing we have in common. I always have eye issues. Oh. And I think we're both true summers.
Starting point is 00:07:33 Okay. So we're watching Kelsey. True summer's eye issues. Yes, we're very aligned. Yeah, I had a, I had a burst of blood vessels in my eyes last Thursday, spontaneous. So it's starting to heal now. But yeah, they were like, just so you know, that's like your only good eye. So like, be careful. I'm like, okay, great. Don't fuck it up. Yeah, don't fuck it up. Okay. Let's see. Let's do finish the sentence. I knew I was officially an adult when? Oh, I knew I was officially adult. I feel like when I bought my house. when I, that's like a, that process sucks. It's so hard. They torture you. All of the different inspections and just like all the different things that you have to do in order to get this house. There were a million times and I'm like, do I even want this house? Is this absolutely necessary? I think that was a moment where I felt like a big girl. Yeah. I can totally relate to that not to like bring it back to me, but I did it two years ago. And I kind of felt like after all was sudden done and I own the house, I was like, where's the adult? Yeah. There's no, I'm not. Where can do this? I can do that. You're just. I can do that. You're just. just playing house. Yeah, I'm like playing. I'm like, wait, I don't know what I'm doing.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Yeah. People say that, you know, you get older and like you realize that there's no adults in the room. Nobody knows. I talk about this in terms of like also like wisdom and confidence. Like people are like, oh, the older you get, you know, you're more wise, you're more confident, you're more sure of yourself. And I'm like, not me. Really? I was like, delusionally confident in my 20s. And the older I get, the more I second guess myself. Because I just feel like, the older I get, the more I'm like, I know nothing. Yeah. I know nothing.
Starting point is 00:09:07 Well, that's good. You have humility. Because you do always hear the other way around. Like, you do get more confident. And I think in certain ways you do, right? When does that come? I don't know. And what age?
Starting point is 00:09:17 But I would guess that like you are more self-assured, right? Because you've lived through more. I think that when you're younger, you have that delusional confidence. Yeah. I guess you're right. Yeah. Because I do feel self-assured. And it is a different type of confidence that I had.
Starting point is 00:09:32 Yeah. It's delulu. Yeah, yeah, totally delete. It's like the best. Like you think you're immortal and it's just everything's great. I just thought I knew everything. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I'm just like written around like, I'm 23. I know what I want. L.O.L. 23. Where are the young girls? They left the room. Okay. The most stossy thing about me is the most, oh, the most stossy thing about me that like I birthed myself. My daughter is just like me. Sassy pants. Okay. I was like, wait, what? I was trying to figure that up.
Starting point is 00:10:04 People used to call me bossy-stossy growing up. And my daughter is, I just feel like she is my karma and all that. I gave birth to myself. And she's my best friend. So like I just like myself that much. I birthed myself. She's also my best friend. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:20 I love that. Motherhood surprised me because. Motherhood surprised me. It surprises me every fucking day. I don't even know how to answer because I just got to a phase of motherhood, like literally just recently. where I am fully 100% enjoying myself. Like, I struggled a lot with, like, the baby phase and toddler phases.
Starting point is 00:10:42 And I just, like, thought something was wrong with me. And it's only been over the last, like, couple months that I have felt, like, confident in my mothering and, like, really fully enjoying it at, like, where I thought I should. And I realize it's, like, because the older my kids get, the more I just, like, want to be around them. I don't know what it is. It's just like there's something about babies that it's hard for me. And I didn't know that that would happen. I felt isolated.
Starting point is 00:11:10 I felt like lonely. But like being able to hang out with my kids now that they like have their own personalities. Like it's so much more fun for me. I feel like that's going to help a lot of people because I feel like women don't talk about that side of it or at least like I'm not a mom. So I'm not around groups. Maybe privately, yes.
Starting point is 00:11:28 But I feel like it's so romanticized and like. It is. Rainbows and butterflies. Especially the baby stage. I don't want them in grill while. I don't want them girls. They're so cute. It's like, yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:11:37 They're cute. Babies are fucking cute. Duh. Yeah. But it's like really boring. Yeah. Like sitting there with a baby and then all the things that you have to bring when you leave the house.
Starting point is 00:11:47 You're like beholden to them. Yes. It's like a freaking a stroller. The diaper bag. All the things that you, that traveling. It's a lot. It's just, it's boring and it's isolating. I like when my kids are kids.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Yeah. And you can like have conversations. them, right? And your kids are like the age where the conversations are really fun, right? Like, they're saying things that are so funny. And they surprise me, like, all the time. And it's just like the things that come out of their mouth. It's just, yeah, I'm like really loving right now. But I was surprised that that's how it would be. I thought that I would just like love having babies. From like day one. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Okay. A couple more. I feel hottest when? I'm like fully glammed. Okay. I'm not one of those people that's like, I mean, it's just.
Starting point is 00:12:31 me and my t-shirt, no makeup on. Yeah. No. Give me a full beat and my hair and like a styled outfit. And like that's when I feel my hottest. Yeah. We're going to get there later. My best beauty tip is.
Starting point is 00:12:44 My best beauty tip, I mean, just like wash your face. Don't ever go to sleep with your makeup on. Like I'm teaching my daughter that. She's like a part of my skincare routine at night. She knows like which thing goes first. And I'm just like always washing it like drilling it through her head. Yeah. Like just I think that's really important.
Starting point is 00:13:01 Yeah. I mean, I don't know if you were like this, but like, I don't think my 20s, I think I'd slept with makeup on every night. Oh, no, I've like always washed my face. I could be like vomiting on the floor. Like, sick, whatever. And I will manage to wash my face. Wow. The only time I made exceptions for that. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Is if I was sleeping at a new man's house. Oh, yeah. Because I'm like, I was not about to let him see my bare face in the beginning stages of a relationship. Did you do like you wash it, but then you put on dubs here and there. Little things and wake up early. Yes.
Starting point is 00:13:36 Wake up early and go to the bathroom and put on a little bit more. God, it's hard dating. Yeah, the worst. Oh my God. It's exhausting. Okay, last one. Everyone should stop. Everyone should stop maxing.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Ah. What is all this maxing? I don't know. Maxing and magging. What is maugging? I didn't get to mogging yet. It's just like everyone's putting the word max behind things. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:56 And I'm and I looked it up literally today on on chat. being like, what is beauty maxing? I'm like, oh, it's what I'm already doing. Of course, I'm trying to be the best version of myself and look the best I can. Like, we've been doing this since the beginning of time. What are you talking about? Yeah. What are you talking about that it's now called beauty maxing? Yeah. And what is sleep maxing? You just sleep a lot? Yeah. I, it's okay. I want to get some more sleep. Just like we having to put like a-protein, fiber maxing. What? Yeah. Have you heard those? No. Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, we're protein maxing, which is like you're eating protein. fiber maxing. It's like you're eating fiber. We're so cute humans. Humans do the stupidest shit.
Starting point is 00:14:37 Especially now because everything is like everything is made for like social media. The other one that drove me nuts were like the hair colors. Oh yeah. Strawberry. Caramel glazed. Cake. Yeah. Like what? Like every month there's a different one and you're like, okay, you mean brunette. One thing that I've learned is that the wellness habits that I actually stick with are the ones that make my life easier, not more complicated, which is exactly why Armour Colostrum has stayed in my routine for so long. The individual travel sticks are my go-to. They are so convenient. I keep them in my carry-on, in my purse, and in my kitchen drawer. So whether I'm at home or traveling, it's one less thing that I have to think about because the reality is our bodies are dealing with a lot more
Starting point is 00:15:24 than they were designed for between environmental toxins, microplastics, artificial light, processed foods and the everyday stress of modern life, we are constantly asking our bodies to adapt. So Armoura Cholostrum is a bioactive whole food with over 400 bioactive nutrients that work at the cellular level to basically help strengthen your body's barriers and support immune health, healthy skin and hair, metabolism, and overall vitality. And I just love that there's nothing complicated about it. I just tear open a packet, mix it into water, and I'm done. It's one of those routines that's easy to stay consistent with because it fits into my day wherever I am. And I think that that is the key to any wellness habit that actually lasts.
Starting point is 00:16:07 So right now I've worked out a special offer for my audience. You can get 30% off your first subscription order when you go to armor.com slash well or enter the code well at checkout. That's A-R-M-R-A dot com slash well. That's armor.com slash well. I have been traveling a lot lately, but even when I'm on the go, I stay. super consistent with my skincare and my treatment modalities that work even red light. So if something is bulky or complicated, I'm just not going to stick with it because I'm always on the go. And that is
Starting point is 00:16:41 why I pack my bond charge red light face mask wherever I go. It is super lightweight. It folds flat in my suitcase. And I just throw it on for 10 or 15 minutes in the morning when I am meditating or drinking my macha or sometimes when I'm winding down in the evening in the hotel, whatever it is that I'm doing, I can just multitask and habit stack, which I love. So I've used a lot of red light devices over the years, but this one checks every box for me. It combines both red light and near infrared light to support collagen and elastin production, which is what I'm really focused on as I get older. I've noticed that my skin just looks smoother, more even and has that healthy, rested look. Even after long travel days and flights, it's, actually kind of my secret hack for staying depuffed after I'm flying. I also love that it doesn't get hot. It's comfortable to wear and Bond Charge remove the unnecessary blue and green light that some other masks still include. It's also sleek. It has zero flicker and just really easy to build into your routine, which honestly is the hardest part of any skincare habit. So if you've been wanting to add red light therapy to your routine, I highly recommend checking this one out. Go to
Starting point is 00:17:51 bond charge.com and use the code blonde to save 15% on your order now. That's boncharge.com and the code is blonde for 15% off. It feels like in the wellness conversation, people are starting to come around to the fact that one of the most overlooked pieces of the whole wellness puzzle is the gut. And you know that if your gut isn't working, none of that other stuff is going to land the way that it should. And even though probiotics have become a popular option for helping people reclaim their gut health, here's a fact that stopped me in my tracks when I first learned it. Most probiotics are already dead by the time they reach your gut. So your stomach acid destroys them before they can even do much good. Just Thrive probiotic is completely different. And honestly, it's been a non-negotiable
Starting point is 00:18:37 in my routine for years. It uses spore-based strains that are clinically studied to actually survive your digestion and arrive 100% alive in your gut. And there's even a proprietary strain that produces antioxidants directly in your gut. So for you, that means less bloating, better nutrient absorption, and stronger immunity. It's one of those things that just works. And once you feel the difference, you will wonder how you ever went without it. And right now, Just Thrive has a great special offer for you. So when you start a 90-day Just Thrive probiotic subscription, you get a free 90-day supply of their new digestive bitters. It's a $90 value completely free. Bitters have been used for centuries to help your body break down food properly, ease that post-meal discomfort, and actually
Starting point is 00:19:20 get the nutrition from everything that you're eating. This is ancient wisdom that genuinely holds up. I love these, especially when I'm traveling. It makes it so that I can eat anything. And Just Thrive backs all their products up with 100% money back guarantee. So love how you feel or get a full product refund. No questions asked, even if the bottle is empty. So click the link in show notes or just go to just thrivehealth.com slash well and start. your gut health transformation today, your whole body will thank you. I am very intentional about the supplements that I take. And creatine is one of the most researched and effective supplements out there. So it's something that I definitely wanted to have in my routine. But as the category has
Starting point is 00:20:00 exploded, I realized that not all creatine is created equal. So I really wanted one from a company that actually obsesses over quality, not just flavors and marketing. And that's why I have been taking momentous signature spec creatine. It's manufactured in a pharmaceutical facility using reverse osmosis water purification, and it goes through an expanded six-stage testing process with four different independent agencies. And the result is creatine with 10 times fewer impurities, tighter heavy metal limits, and screening for P-FAS and microplastics. It also mixes effortlessly. There's no grit, there's no clumping, which I really appreciate because it's something that I take every single day and I don't want it to be a hassle. So I've genuinely loved adding it to my routine
Starting point is 00:20:47 between strength training and Pilates. I really feel like I'm starting to see better muscle definition. I feel like I'm getting more out of my workouts. And I know that creatine supports strength, power, lean muscle growth, recovery, and even cognitive performance. And it can be neuroprotective. So all of those are so important as we age. I really think it's worth paying attention to not only adding this to your routine, but the quality of what you're taking. So if you want to try Momentus signature spec creatine, head to live momentus.com and use the code well for up to 35% off your first order. That's livemomeness.com promo code well for up to 35% off.
Starting point is 00:21:28 Okay. So I want to rewind a little bit because there's so much to get through. It's like where do I even want to go? You've experienced like major public highs and lows throughout your. career. How did those experiences specifically, especially like having all of that play out in public, shape who you are today? Oh my God. I really recommend failure to everyone. Yeah. It's like truly, there is nothing like failing because you have to like get up with like all your might and really fight for things. And then it just like you look at like little parts of your
Starting point is 00:22:07 life and they become so much more meaningful. And you. you become so much more grateful for things. Like, couldn't recommend failure enough. Like, during those periods of time when I have failed, I became incredibly grateful for all, like, the little things in my life. And I learned so much about myself and just like how hard I can fight, you know, and what I am capable of. And I just, yeah, I mean, I'm really big on failure.
Starting point is 00:22:32 I am too, because if I look back on my life, I see that everything that A, built character. For sure. be like shaped who I am today, made me more confident, gave me self-esteem. Like we're all things that felt like failure at the time. And I feel like we're in this time right now. We're not allowed to be fallible. I don't know if you feel that way. It's like we like watch everyone so closely and like hold them to like a certain standard and they're not allowed to fuck up. I, I know what you mean because I worry about that even just like putting out House of Stasi. I'm like, okay, like here we go. like we're living in a time when yes, because of social media and we have access to like literally
Starting point is 00:23:12 everything that people do have their like magnifying glasses and they want to just find things to nitpick and rip apart. And it is kind of crazy right now. Yeah. I'm just get you. Really hoping that people are like starved for like real people and their flaws on social media on TV. They have to. Yeah. Otherwise, I'm a failure. I'll be a failure again. What made you decide to get back out there? Oh, I mean, my story was never going to end with Vayner Pump Rules. Like, that was never going to be it for me.
Starting point is 00:23:53 I couldn't imagine a life where, like, that was just it. And I actually love doing reality TV. Like, I have done it since I was 16 years old. It's like kind of like what I know. It's like my craft. Yeah. And so it just, it's the medium where I thrive the best and I'm most excited to do. It's just like who I am.
Starting point is 00:24:19 So like to me, it just like felt like normal. What is the skill set that you have to have to succeed in reality TV? You know, I wonder, because you have to, you can't be a spiraller. So like, I mean, you can. It's just, it only hurts yourself. Like it only like, it just like, it just like, it's just like, it's. It's helpful that I don't spiral. Okay.
Starting point is 00:24:38 Like, I'm really, I'm not thinking about the fact that there are cameras there. I feel like I'm able to disassociate and just, like, not filter myself because they're there or wonder how something's going to come across. Now, when I'm done, like, a full season of shooting, I'll spiral. Then I'll spiral for myself. But, like, I kind of, like, wait to the end. You've got to just be present. Yeah. You know?
Starting point is 00:25:04 Yeah. And then when you do spiral, is it because. you're like, oh my God, how are they going to edit me? What is this going to be like when it comes out? How is this going to land? Like, you never know how something is going to land. And I give editing notes. Do you know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:25:17 It's still, I watch it. I'm like, I have no fucking idea how this is going to land with people and what they're going to grab onto or what they're going to like what's going to resonate with them. Like, I really don't know. Yeah. Oh my God. It just seems like the scariest thing to me. It is.
Starting point is 00:25:34 Yeah. It is. like if this fails, we'll just pivot and I'll do something else. This is different, right? Because you have your whole family now. Like your husband. It's like my name. And I have like spent over three and a half years working on this. So there's a lot of pressure. But I thrive under pressure. And I just think that what we've, we're doing is so different and cool and fresh and new. And like we break the fourth wall like the whole time. It feels. That's cool. Because like I felt like, okay, if we're going to like come back and do a show,
Starting point is 00:26:10 we have to acknowledge that I was on a show. Yeah. And here we are doing another show. Yeah. It just feels like that is what's the most authentic. It's different than anything that's out there. Was your husband on board, like right from the beginning? He doesn't have a choice. Yeah. So whether he wasn't or not, he didn't tell me. At no point did you say, stop. Should we think about this? Really. He just like really supports my. my dreams. Oh, yeah. That's sweet. And how did you protect your relationship throughout that process? Or was it just like, did it just happen naturally? Girl, it wasn't protected. Oh, okay. It wasn't protected. I gave Bo the note ahead of time. Like, I like drilled it in his head, like, we're signing up for
Starting point is 00:26:51 this. We need to be completely honest and open. There's no sweeping things under the rug. And he really took that seriously, which you'll see. And you're like for better or worse. For better or worse. Yes. But I also think of reality TV as kind of like my own version. version of therapy because we're forced to talk through things. Like I said, on reality TV, you can't just like sweep your feelings under the rug. You are forced to literally communicate over and over and over about that thing. So it does feel like therapy. Like we're talking through everything. Nothing's being ignored. So while it's hard, I like it. Yeah. I feel like I get closer to the person that I'm like working through things with. Yeah. So do you feel like it improved your
Starting point is 00:27:33 relationship? It did. That's how I got. look and see that. Yeah, yeah. Because like, the finale is a little rough. But it does because we're like, wow, we talked all that out. Yeah. You know? No, I know.
Starting point is 00:27:44 I'm like, as I'm listening, I could see how that would be so beneficial. Because in normal life, before you guys started shooting and going through this whole process was like one of you more avoidant and one of you more communicative or both avoidant or. It's just that we have two kids. Yeah. And busy lives. So, like, I don't have the energy to fight or argue or express or. communicate properly. And there isn't like a lot of time to. And so it's like by the time, like, I don't like doing that in front. We don't fight or argue in front of the kids. And by the time,
Starting point is 00:28:15 like, they go down to sleep, I'm like, I'm tired. I don't feel like addressing the thing that annoyed me today. Yeah. So so much goes unsaid. Yeah. And I feel like so many relationships fall into that trap, especially how long have you guys been married now? We've been married. We got married in 2020. Okay. And then had a wedding in 2022. And together, how long? since 2017. Okay. So that's like, it's a long time. Yeah, a good amount of time.
Starting point is 00:28:41 Yeah. Yeah. Do you follow the New York divorce lawyer guy? I feel like we have similar. No. Oh, he's amazing. I want him to come on the podcast. He just, what did he say?
Starting point is 00:28:54 He, oh my God, I should just play the video because I don't remember exactly how he articulated it, but he's kind of like tough guy, but he has so much insight into relationships from being a divorce lawyer for so long. For sure, I would imagine. He was like, you know, what tends to happen is we get into this cycle where one person is like, oh, we're not sleeping together anymore. And then the other person's like, well, because, you know, I'm with the kids all the time and blah, blah, blah. And then it's like, both are right. He's like, you're both right. But like, you both get this resentment. And then like, once you have their resentment, then there's like bitterness and whatever. And it just turns into this whole thing. I'll find the video and send it to you. And then he was just like, if you don't water the plant, it's going to die. For sure. Yeah. No, marriage takes. It takes effort. It is not just easy. It's easy to, like, I love my husband and he's easy to be around. And, like, it's like that part of it is easy.
Starting point is 00:29:44 What's hard is, like, keeping it relationshipy and not frenzy. Yeah. You know? Yeah. That was the other thing. But when you have two small kids, oh, yeah. They suck the life out of you. They really do. And so, like, I think, and I tell Bo this all the time because it doesn't, like, the kids
Starting point is 00:30:01 don't affect him as much as they affect me, whereas, like, he could be physical. and like intimate like every fucking day. Whereas like I am touched out. Yeah. I'm like energyed out. I'm like I can't. You know what I mean? I can't type happen to like the sexual romantic side of me as easily as he can.
Starting point is 00:30:18 And I try to explain. I'm like, this is just a season of our lives. Like our kids are five and two. You know? Yeah. They're not always going to be five and two. Like this is just a moment where like I'm not as physical touchy right now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:32 But I'll get there. Yeah. You know? Yeah. I cannot even imagine. Like, truly, I can't. So I give so much credit to, like, people who are in the trenches with kids and, like, also keeping a relationship going because that end of itself. Normalize not having sex every single day. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Hopefully it's normalized. But yeah, the other thing that he was saying was like, when you're first dating, you're interested and you're
Starting point is 00:30:55 interesting. So you're interested in your partner and you're trying to be your most interesting. And then, like, you get married and you're like, all right. Yeah, for sure. And that's how people kind of fall into the top. but then you throw kids into it, you throw working together and like, you just, I would imagine you have to like really. Luckily, I'd like him so much as a person. Yeah. Like, I love being around him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:31:16 You know, yeah. That helps. How wellnessy are you? Because I would imagine you have a show, you have your podcast, you're an influencer, you're an entrepreneur, you're a mom, your wife, you're a friend. You're like so many different roles. I feel like I'm like right in the middle. I'm not like, I feel like I'm maybe a more wellnessy than I realize.
Starting point is 00:31:34 Like, I literally do practice gratitude. Like, I don't, like, write it in a journal, but, like, I do. I know that, like, in order to thrive, I need alone time. So, like, I honor that. I honor, like, my rest cycles and things like that. In order to, like, create things, I have to rest. Yeah. You know, I love a lymphatic drainage massage, get it all the time.
Starting point is 00:31:55 I love beauty treatments. Yeah. But I'm not an expert. Yeah. I was just more curious, like, what are the things that you're doing to give yourself something because you give so much to like everybody else and every other role. That's something that like I really need in order to function and saying no to things and events and just being like tough shit if people don't like it. I can't constantly be socializing.
Starting point is 00:32:21 It just like fully drains me. And and then that even sucks again for my marriage because if like I'm constantly doing things again by the time the kids go down, I'm like if I haven't had a loan time all day long, then I need that more than I need to be around my husband. So it's like really mastering, like having the right amount of alone time to recharge my batteries. That's how I honor myself. Are you an introverted extrovert or extroverted introvert? Yeah, an ambivert. Yes, I've always said that I'm an ambivert. It's like I can go out and socialize and like fun. I like to. Like I like to have fun. But I'm, I really need my alone time to recharge. I have, I reach a limit.
Starting point is 00:33:05 Like, I am just, you hit that wall. I hit that wall and I can't do anything. Stop functioning. Yes. I don't know how to like have conversation. I'm the same way. Like I'll be at a dinner party and suddenly the wall will, I will come right up against it. And someone is talking to me and I'm like, I can't even like process what they're saying or get a sentence out.
Starting point is 00:33:23 It's crazy. Yes. Some people don't have that. I know. I know. My husband doesn't. My boyfriend. No, he gets energy from being out and socializing.
Starting point is 00:33:31 Same. It's so wild. What? Like, aren't you tired by now? I feel like every extroverted man has like a girl like us right behind him. Yes, exactly. And vice versa. I feel like we all find the extroverts for some reason.
Starting point is 00:33:46 Like, does he balance you out? Do you feel? Yes. I totally think so. And I balance him out. Yeah. Like, calm down. We don't need to be out doing things.
Starting point is 00:33:55 I don't get it. I'm like, he wants to be out doing things from like seven in the morning. He's like, let's go to the hotel for pancakes. And then let's go. And I'm like, it's seven in the morning. Yeah, I know. I'm, like, happy if I don't, like, leave my house. I don't want to leave my house.
Starting point is 00:34:07 Yeah. I want to, like, do a puzzle and drink my macha and, like. I love a matcha. See, I'm wellnessy. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Totally wellnessy. Well, lymphatic drainage.
Starting point is 00:34:15 I feel like that's kind of wellnessy. We were talking before about our. Yes. Can I say it? Yeah. Floating, like water retention. I'm going through something right now. I don't know what it is.
Starting point is 00:34:26 It's like all of my pants are that I used to, like, rely on that I wore like all last summer. are tight right now and I'm just like not thrilled about it. Yeah, it's weird. Yeah. Everyone was telling me because yeah, it started happening to me. I'm like scaring you right now. You're not, we're not passing this energy off to Stasi. But don't claim it. Yeah. But everyone used to say to me back then like, oh, it's perimenopause. And I was like, shut the fuck up. No, it's not. Like, I'm not that old. And then I feel like at 40, it was like, okay, I think things are changing. And like, what else do you notice? Oh my God. The brain fog is absolutely insane. will be, like I voice note with my team and everyone all day and my managers, my same age. And we're,
Starting point is 00:35:07 we can't get a point across in our voice notes. And we're like, wait, what were you? What? What is that word? Like, I can't remember. Why was I messaging you? Like, it's bizarre. Okay. And that was overnight. Okay. The water retention. That's really it for me so far. Okay. Those two. Those are important. No like sleep problems, nothing like that. And I was told that I just need to go on estrogen, like the patch. And then like, I'm in fact. I need to go get checked. Yeah. Get all my levely things. Yeah. Checked.
Starting point is 00:35:32 I figure out what I need. I feel like it's hard. I'm actually going tomorrow to get all my levely things checked. But I was talking to a friend last week and she got all her levels checked. Everything was normal. And they were like, we're putting you on the estrogen patch anyway. And she was like, my life returned to my body. It was like when you see the thing.
Starting point is 00:35:50 And it's like suddenly she's like, I was sharp again. I had energy. I was bloated. Yeah. I was like, oh my God. She didn't know like how bad she felt until she felt normal again. And she's like, yeah, I feel 20. It's like, wow.
Starting point is 00:36:02 Wait. Yeah. No. Yeah. I need to go. Because I've literally been, I go through phases where I'm like, God, I miss being addicted to Adderall. You get so much more done back in my 20s. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:36:14 So bad for you. But like, I miss it so much. I'm like, now I feel like it's so hard for me to get a lot of things done. Yeah. And then I go through phases in weeks where I'm like, do I need to be on an antidepressant? Oh, yeah, me too. I feel kind of like really down. Yeah, we're all over the place.
Starting point is 00:36:29 I'm just like riding it out. Yeah. It's tricky. I feel like I'm at the age where I have four good days a month where I'm like, this is the sweet spot, whatever this is. Like someone needs to measure this shit. Tell me what's happening in my body. And then like give me the pill or the hormones that make it like this all the time.
Starting point is 00:36:45 Really good point. Are you into peptides? I want to get into it. I know. I'm not because I feel like, don't you feel like everyone that I've had on my show like doctor wise that actually knows they're like, no, it's sketchy. What scares me about it, well, there's a few things. One is that they're like very unregulated. Okay. Two is that if you have any kind of like genetic predisposition to cancers or you have cancer and you don't know, like it accelerates tumor growth. So that's not good.
Starting point is 00:37:14 Okay. Every single peptide. I'm just here to scare you today. Every single one. Maybe reverse aging and have my hair grow. Same. I mean, those are the only one. I'm one in the same. I, yeah, I don't know. Maybe copper like the GHKCU. Maybe that one doesn't have that because it's not like. growing. Well, it does, it's supposed to grow your tissue. So I don't know. I have not. I don't know enough about it. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's interesting because like, I know people who do them and they're like, yeah, I don't know. I don't really notice anything. And then I know people who do them and they're like, it's life changing. That's what I heard that like, yeah. It could, it makes you feel your best self. Yeah. So I'm like, oh, so like the way that Adderall used to make me feel. Yeah. Like that's a, okay, give me a peptide then. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I used to do. I'm so. now. I don't know if you know that, like 12 plus years. But I used to do, it was Adderall Coke,
Starting point is 00:38:05 alcohol and Xanax. Like that was my, I had to have all of them together in order to find. I would take Adderall in the morning to get up. Yeah. And get going. Yeah. And then it would make me really shaky. So then I would need like a glass of champagne. Yeah. And then I would start doing Coke in the evening. And then a Xanax. And then drinking more. And then Xanax to come down. And then Adderall. Yes. You know what? I bet you would. my early 20s, I had days like that. Yeah. Like, I for sure was like drinking a lot on Adderall.
Starting point is 00:38:36 Yeah. And then I take Xanax to sleep. Yeah. It's crazy. Oh my gosh. You gave up drinking. Yeah. Are you just like so happy?
Starting point is 00:38:43 Could never be me. Not like an, I know. And I've heard you say that before. I'm like, you'd never relate to that. I'm from New Orleans. Like, it's literally in our DNA. Like a cocktail or wine is just like ever. It's like where the, this is like socialness is.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Totally. Like community revolves around that. Yeah. That like sober life is just not for me. For me, first of all, I was like such a party animal from when I was like 17 or 18 to when I got sober at 28. And I had the craziest life and I did so much shit. So I feel like I kind of got it out of my system.
Starting point is 00:39:17 And then it was so bad like seizures and stuff all the time that like I had to. And I knew that if I like drank again, that was it. So for me it was like there was no other option. So I was just like. Seizures? Yeah. So I was like, I'm done now. And ever since then, I think that would make me stop. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Not to get all depressing. But it was like, I knew that that was off the table. I was like, I cannot. Because I know that if I were to ever have another drink for whatever reason, like, I don't have the switch in me that can where I can just stop after a couple. So I would maybe have a glass of wine and then I would just be chugging one of those magnum bottles and then I would be like off to the dealer. Like that's the kind of like brain that I have. So it was like, I was done. And it was before being sober was cool. Now everyone's like sober, curious. Like that I feel like would be quite boring. Like if you don't have to. If you don't have to, don't. No, no. I'm like, everything in
Starting point is 00:40:08 moderation. I think I'm a great rose. Abrel's rich drinker. And like I don't go crazy. Who cares? Like, you can go crazy. I always say like, I'm not judging. I'm like, if I could do it, I would totally be doing it. And if you can do it and even if you can like dabble and like other stuff and then like show up and get your shit done and be like a normal person like more power to you. That's my dream. But like I just couldn't. You know, I would be in Tijuana. What is your vice? Because sober life is fun. Like that's not what I mean. Yeah. How do you word it? Like yeah, I know what you're trying to say. I mean, I still do like everything that I did before I got sober. Like Coke? No. No, no, no, like lifewise.
Starting point is 00:40:52 Like I'll still like go out and I still travel and go like to the beach clubs and dance on the tables. Like that whole thing. You don't dance on table sober? Yeah. I can't dance on tables drunk. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think that something happens to the confidence piece. When you don't have the option of having like any kind of like lubricant or anything,
Starting point is 00:41:13 you just really like over the last and especially in the last couple of. years, but over like the last 12 years, I have become very, very comfortable in my skin. I love it. It's like when I'm pregnant, when I'm pregnant, I have like, I say it's like pregnancy strength, pregnancy confidence. Like literally nothing matters because you have your, your little baby that's like also like your shield and the thing that you're protecting. And it just gives you this confidence and inner strength that like you don't know you have, then you have the baby and it's gone. And it's gone. It must be the hormones, too.
Starting point is 00:41:49 I would imagine. I can do anything when I'm pregnant. Interesting. Yeah. I mean, I still sometimes will get like self-conscious about certain things. But for the most part, I'm like, for whatever reason, I was so filled with self-centered fear of like what everyone was thinking about me. Like, nobody's thinking about me.
Starting point is 00:42:05 That's something that you learn when you're older. This, no. No. This I don't agree with at all. I keep seeing TikToks like this. And we've been told this our whole lives. Not everyone is thinking about you. well, a lot of people are actually thinking about me. A lot of people follow me. And when I walk into a room, a lot of people know me. And they are watching and taking notes about everything I'm doing. That's true. So who's this message for? Not you. I don't feel that. Yeah, yeah. No, I get that. And when you're a public person, that's very different. Because of very different. But you're a public person. I mean, ish. Like not not to your.
Starting point is 00:42:46 So people around are going to be observing you and taking notes in their head. I can tell. I can tell and you can, because you're famous and I'm not. But like, I can tell if I walk into a restaurant and there's a table like of people who follow me. Can't you always tell? So no, my friends and my husband say I'm really good at like not. Okay. And I think I am. Of course, like some people are more obvious than others. But like in order for me to function normally in society, I have to put blinders on. I've always been like. I've always been. way. Otherwise, I would get so self-conscious. Like, when I know, when it's pointed out to me, and I know that there are people watching me, I feel an immense amount of dread. It just like my body just, like, tightens up. And I, I don't feel like I can just, like, exist. Yeah. You know what I mean? It's very weird. I always think, like, so many people think that they want to be famous and maybe they would love it. But the level of fame that some people have or they can't go anywhere because everyone's watching them. I feel like you have a perfect level of fame. I have a sweet spot. I still go to Disneyland and Universal Studios and like live my
Starting point is 00:43:51 life. Like I'm not that famous. Yeah. There's a sweet spot. Like I could not imagine not being able to like go to the airport. Yeah. You know. And like feeling like you have to be on and people coming up to you and you have to be nice and you're having a shitty day, but you're still like. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So I think maybe the thing for you would be what people think about me is none of my business. And so that, none of my business is a great way I say it because when people are like, it doesn't matter what other people think. It does. Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:19 My whole career is based off of what people think. So if they find me uninteresting or they don't like me or like they don't resonate with something, like that's a problem. So like the followers, the viewers, the listeners are very important. What they think matters. So I like what you just said, I don't need to know. Yeah. How do you do with like mean?
Starting point is 00:44:44 comments. Oh, it's fine. Reviews. Horrible. Yeah. I'm so used to it. I don't know. So if I got like a negative review on the show, I'm trying to imagine how that would feel because I worked so hard on it. Yeah. It's different from someone just commenting on your video like, yeah. When people talk shit about me in comment sections, I'm fine with it. I'm like just so fucking used to it that it doesn't matter. But something that I've worked like really hard on, it'll sting. But I'm really good at like, I like fight hard. I feel things hard. And then I'm really able to like quickly let things go. Wait, what's your moon? Scorpio moon. But like if you hurt me, like I will never like if you're somebody that's close to me. Yeah. Yeah, I'll never forget it. What's your son? Cancer's sun.
Starting point is 00:45:29 Okay. Capricorn rising. Okay. What's the Capricorn rising? That's my favorite part. I identify as a Capricorn even though I'm a cancer. Really? Yes. Capricorns are my favorite people. My grandmother was a Capricorn. My daughter's a Capricorn. Some of my best friends are Capricorns. They are just, they're responsible. They like stand on business. They just have their shit together. Like no nonsense. Like hardworking.
Starting point is 00:45:54 And I just like kind of, I really, I feel like I'm more in that energy than I am a cancer where like there are parts of like the cancer that I'm like a hard outer shell but like soft on the inside. And like my home is like my sanctuary. That sort of thing. But no, I like, I really identify with my Capricorn. Yeah. I identify with my moon. Really? I'm a Leo son, but I'm a Pisces moon.
Starting point is 00:46:18 And I'm like very in my inner world all the time. My husband's a Pisces. Really? Yeah. Like Pisces sun or moon? Sun and has something else. Oh. So it's like either both Pisces rising also and a moon, something like that.
Starting point is 00:46:30 So is he very into his inner world, like very intuitive. I would say, I would say so. Into his like emotions. Yes. He's very open with his emotions. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:39 Just wait and watch. Yeah. That's so funny. One thing that I know for sure is that great skin is not just about what you put on your skin. It's also about supporting it from within. And you guys know that I live a healthy lifestyle and I do all of the topical things. But I have been taking rituals Hyacera for a long time as well because it's one of those staples that I just don't really think twice about because I genuinely like the difference that I've noticed. So Hyacera combines clinically studied phytoceramides with hyaloronis.
Starting point is 00:47:13 acid, which is such a smart combination. Seramides help support your skin barrier and lock in moisture, while hyluronic acid helps to attract and retain hydration. So your skin looks plumber and more supple. I have noticed that my skin feels more hydrated throughout the day. It has a healthier glow and it just looks smoother overall. And this is important as we age. I'm turning 41 in two weeks and I've noticed that my skin's ability to retain moisture, especially just from topicals, has definitely declined in the last couple years, and this has helped. So I also appreciate that ritual is really thoughtful about quality. Hyacera is rigorously tested and validated by a third party for allergens, microbes, and heavy metals. It's a clean label project certified,
Starting point is 00:47:58 and it's just one capsule a day with a subtle vanilla essence. So if you're looking to support hydrated, glowing skin from the inside out, give Hyacera a try. Start, Hi, Sarah, to support your glow without compromising on clean science, head to ritual.com slash well to save 25% off your first month. That's ritual.com slash well for 25% off your first month. This episode is sponsored by Rowe. I think one of the biggest misconceptions about GLP1 medications is that they are automatically out of reach financially. A lot of people assume they won't qualify, insurance won't cover it, or that the cost will be way too high. So they never even look into their options, and that is exactly what Roe is trying to change.
Starting point is 00:48:42 Rowe helps eligible patients find the lowest cost way to access FDA-approved GLP-1 treatment, whether that's through insurance coverage or lower-cost cash pay options, and the best place to start is with their free insurance checker. All you do is submit your insurance information, and Rowe handles the rest a few days later. You receive a personalized report showing which GLP1 medications are covered by your insurance, and whether prior authorization may be required. You don't even have to be a Roe member to use the insurance checker. And if insurance doesn't cover treatment, that doesn't necessarily mean that you are out of options. Roe also offers lower cost cash pay FDA approved GLP1 options, including daily pills
Starting point is 00:49:25 and multi-dose pens so eligible patients can find an option that fits their budget. They even offer multi-month membership options to help members save over time. A lot of people talk about clean deodorants and there's debate over which ones actually work. I have to tell you that I am completely converted to the salt and stone deodorant. I know it sounds dramatic to have a favorite deodorant, but this one is genuinely that good and it's the only one that I use. And I'm the only one that I use. I've tried them all. I'm actually wearing the Sontal scent right now. And every time I wear it,
Starting point is 00:50:11 I'm reminded why it's my favorite. It's warm. It's woody. It's elevated. And honestly, smells kind of like a beautiful fragrance rather than a deodorant. One thing that I also love is their discovery set because I don't always want to smell the same. Some days, I'm in the mood for Sontal. Other days, I want something a little brighter or something richer like saffron or fresher like Nerole. It's such a fun way to find your signature scent or even just have a few signature sense depending on your mood. And beyond just smelling incredible, it's just an excellent deodorant. It is aluminum-free. It provides 48-hour protection.
Starting point is 00:50:48 And it actually keeps up whether I'm recording all day, running around town, heading to Pilates, or in very humid 90-plus degree weather in Europe like I am right now. That is definitely putting it to the test. and it lasts all day. So I love products that feel a little luxurious in everyday life. Starting point is 00:51:29 I don't have to tell you guys, I am such a Viori person because it's one of those brands that somehow checks every single box. I want clothes that I can work out in, throw on for a flight, wear while I'm running errands, or even where to lunch without feeling like I'm still in gym clothes. And Viori does all of that. You probably know from my social media that I pretty much live in the All the Feels Collection. The fabric is so unbelievably soft. It has just the right amount of stretch. and it's one of those materials that you immediately notice the second you put on. It's comfortable enough to lounge in. It's supportive enough for workouts and polished enough that I don't feel
Starting point is 00:52:07 like I need to change afterward and it's also so breathable. I also love the color palette. Everything mixes and matches so easily and the pieces just look elevated, which honestly is what I reach for when I'm packing because I know I'll wear everything in multiple ways, whether I'm going to Pilates, spending the day, sightseeing, or grabbing dinner. So if you, are looking for activeware that really goes beyond the gym. Viori is absolutely worth trying. And right now you can go to Biori.com slash well and discover the versatility of Viori clothing. Not only will you receive 20% off your first purchase, but you'll also enjoy free shipping on any U.S. orders over $75 and free returns. Or you can just head to vore.com slash well to get 20% off your first order.
Starting point is 00:52:57 Okay, I have to ask you beauty stuff. Well, first of all, you just did Sports Illustrated runway. Yeah. I have to know. I had Molly Sims on and I was like, I fucking love Molly Sims. Love her. Her energy is just so incredible. And how hot? And she's, no, she's, stunning. Like, what? So stunning. And she's just like a such a vibe. I was like told her, I was like, you were literally like one of my idols like growing up and like it's an honor. And she's a total girl's girl. She is. It's just like she's the best. Yeah. And she looked amazing, but so did you. So tell us normal people. Like what goes into the prep for something like that? Well, I do EMS training. That is my workout. I am a lazy. You put the suit on? Girl. Yeah. I am a lazy girl. I hate working out. I've always hated it. I'd rather be doing anything else. I prefer to be seated. Even like at parties. I'm like, can we sit? Why are we standing around? People who are like, no, it's a final stand. What do you mean? People who are like, I'm going to put one of those standing desks in my office. What? With a walking.
Starting point is 00:53:59 pad. We're walking out. You want to be moving your body? That is fucking bananas to me. I don't like moving my body. Okay. So EMS training, the fact that it's only 20 minutes, I do it once or twice a week. That is my exercise. Wow. But it's like so. But you have to stand and do things while you're doing it, right? Yeah, you work out while you do it. It was only 20 minutes. Okay. So like that's what I do. I do lymphatic drainage massages a lot. I did two before the show. Spacing out too. So I did it incorrectly this time right now. So I did one two days before, got spray tanned, then did another one the next day. And it took off my spray tan. And I like fully panicked and had to like have my makeup artist just like fully like rub my stomach and everything with just like body makeup.
Starting point is 00:54:43 And like obviously like I try not to like eat that much before the show. But like just like how you would if you knew that you were going to be like naked in front of everyone. It's like I stick to like turkey and hummus. Yeah. Yeah. And stuff like that. Molly was like, I was too nervous to eat. I was like, I love the honesty. Oh, I took beta blockers for the nerves. Really? Yeah. So like, love a beta blocker. I like, while I still like know that I'm nervous, I don't like feel. Yeah. The feelings. I would have, I don't think that I could do that without a beta blocker. Oh, yeah. People raw dogging the sports illustrated runway show? That's been in. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:55:18 Who of the people who did it do you think were like the most raw dogging in? I feel like Alex Earl can just get out there and do it, right? I know that she didn't take a beta blocker. because I offered it to her last year. Because she was like, I'm going to throw up on myself. And I was like, I have beta blockers and she was too scared to take it. So I'm like, this is like the most like low stakes drug you can take. That's so funny. I don't think, I don't think she needs it. And that body on that girl.
Starting point is 00:55:43 I know. Honestly, the Sports Illustrated models have so much confidence and they are so, it's such a warm environment. Like I, I feel like people think I'm lying when I'm just like, no, everyone is so supportive of each other. And it's just like good vibes all around. That's so nice. I probably was the only one on a beta blocker. I doubt that. I highly doubt that. I feel like everyone's on a beta blocker now. What were the beauty things that you did to get ready? Like aside from the spray tan, the lymphatic, like what are we doing? How far out are we doing Botox if you do it? Like what's, are we doing lashes brows? Botox I did right before. I got my eyebrows laminated. I love a laminated look.
Starting point is 00:56:22 I feel like it just like looks like I got a facelift. If you compare. my face to like pre-laminated brows. I look so much younger. I swear. And snatched. I really do. It really does look like you got a brow lift or a facelift. It does. So I definitely got that done. I got my lashes lifted. And then we brought a lot of hair extensions. Tell us about the decision to go back to your natural color. Okay. So after I had my wedding, so like I got married in 2020. It was during COVID. So was like a backyard thing with like not a lot of people. But we still had our wedding in Italy in 2022. And I was the perfect bridal blonde. Like, oh, we just like nailed that blonde. But it was like a lot of work to like constantly be doing my hair. And my daughter was born. And I just like loved her natural hair color.
Starting point is 00:57:11 And I'm like, I want to match her. And I was like, remember season one and two? My hair was just like really pretty dark blonde that looked like my daughter's hair. So I had Bradley take me down because I was like, I want to match my daughter. And I just never had them touch it again. So that's been over like three and a half years. And I just haven't touched my hair. And it just so happened that it became fashionable. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:37 To do that. You got the soft suede brown. I've been riding that wave of it being like the move. And it's just I love how low maintenance it is. Yeah. And I kind of look back on like my blonde phases and like, no, I think I look better just with the darker hair. besides my wedding. It was a vibe. It's like my dream to do that. But then when I start to grow, when we're at like four months, I like start to panic. Well, what you need to do is just like, get it darker. Get it darker. And then. Yeah. Pull the trip. Yeah. I did during COVID. I went blonde and then I went brunette. But it was like the wrong shade of brunette. And so I panicked and I went back blonde. Most overrated luxury beauty product. Most overrated luxury beauty products. If you can think of one or we can skip it. Because I kind of feel like beauty products are really. I'm
Starting point is 00:58:24 really important. Like, I'm like thinking of all, like, the really expensive creams and everything. And I'm like, it's worth it. Yeah. Unfortunately, right. Unfortunately, it's all worth it, you guys. Yeah. You got to spend the money.
Starting point is 00:58:37 Okay. Most worth it. Expensive beauty purchase. Baccarat Rouge perfume. So good. It's so good. The red bottle or the clear? The red bottle.
Starting point is 00:58:46 I want to be as strong. Like, I want to walk into a room and people are like, whoa. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, I don't need to be subtle about my scent. Yeah. Like I, yeah. I want to spice up that room.
Starting point is 00:58:56 Yes. The red one is so good. One beauty treatment, you'll never give up. There's a lot. I will never give up. I'll never give up Botox. Okay. Never going to give up lymphatic drainage massages.
Starting point is 00:59:07 Never going to give up. Although maybe I will at some point stop laminating my brows. You got to get the rare beauty brow gel. I use that. Okay. But like, do we think we're going to go back to normal brows? Do you think we're going to look back on this time and be like, what were we thinking?
Starting point is 00:59:23 Or was this going to last forever? I think it's going to last. because it's not like you're, they look very natural. Thank you. It's not like you have. It's not like a trend that I feel like you're going to look back and it's going to place like where we are in time. See, so I feel like it is. Really? That you're making me feel so much better. No, I don't think so. I have one specific friend who always gives me a hard time about it. She's like, stop doing that with your brows. And I'm like, no, I love it. I think I feel like it suits my face so much, but she's given me a complex. And so now I'm like, is, am I going to look back and
Starting point is 00:59:52 like, wow, that was so 20, 23 or whatever, because, like, when it started, I just think it looks nice. Yeah, what's the alternative? How would they be if you didn't laminate? Just kind of, like, thinner. And they, they, like, droop down. Yeah. No, I don't think so. I don't think so. Because everyone's getting the gel and brushing it up themselves. I don't have lamination right now just because it irritates my eyes so bad. So I can only do it, like, before an event or something like that. Yeah. But the rare beauty, like, that gel for me is like, that does almost as good of a job. as the laminated. For sure.
Starting point is 01:00:24 And I feel like we'll do that forever. Yeah. I mean, what else are we going to do? Just let them go raw. That's what I used to do. Yeah. I just like penciled them in the way they were. This is so much more natural looking than like having like blocks.
Starting point is 01:00:37 And youthful. Yeah. Totally. I think. Yeah. I disagree with your friend. One beauty trend you hope never comes back. One beauty trend.
Starting point is 01:00:47 Okay. Bucle fat removal, whatever. Oh, yeah. Buckle fat. Is it buckle or bucule? Why are we doing that? No, no, no. Like, we need our fat.
Starting point is 01:00:55 We need our fat. Like, what are we doing making, like, as we age, we lose this already. So, like, having people take that out, not helpful. It is an epidemic. And so many, some people, it's appropriate. Okay. This is like my bread and butter. I could talk about surgery all day.
Starting point is 01:01:12 Some people, it's appropriate, especially if they don't take out the entire, it's like a little ball. You can take out just some of it. And if you have like a very full round lower face and like master of Botox doesn't help fine, maybe whatever. Yeah. But there are exceptions to the rules. Sure. Yes.
Starting point is 01:01:28 Sunkin in. I'm like when you are like 45. You're going to look like you're 89. And you're going to have to take fat. And from your, which I've done. You've taken fat put in your face. Yeah. I'm too scared to do anything.
Starting point is 01:01:41 You don't need it. I'm, I've noticed that things are starting to slip. Mm-hmm. Okay. I felt like last year I had a really hot year. Okay. Okay. It was a good one.
Starting point is 01:01:49 Yeah. But I've noticed. notice some things are starting to slip. You look amazing. And I'm like, what is it that I need to do to maintain this? Like, is it sculpture? Someone just told me about that the other day. Is like, do I need to go back and do like micrneedling in lasers? What's, what are the things that are going to keep me hot and young? Yeah. 38 is tough. I feel like 38 to like 44. I'm not there yet. But I'm just 30 out. Well, because at 44, we have an aging drop. So women have like four drops of their lives where you age really rapidly.
Starting point is 01:02:25 And 44 to 45 is one of them. But I feel like, do you know Melinda, the beauty broker? No. Okay, she's amazing. I remember years ago she was on my podcast and she was like, there is an age of frustration that women live in where it's too soon to do something. But things are starting to change. and like you have to wait until they get worse, which is so hard.
Starting point is 01:02:49 Now, though, I mean, that was probably like six or seven years ago that she said that. Now we have more things. We have the peptides that maybe or maybe don't work. I don't know. Okay. We have, you know, the what's it called? Microneedling radio frequency, which I don't, that's why I had to put fat in my face because I did RF microneedling and it melted the fat.
Starting point is 01:03:08 And it was like one of the best plastic surgeons. It's not his fault. It's just all of these things depend on your body's own ability to, produce collagen. So if you aren't producing collagen well or you have thinner skin or whatever, like there's so many variables, that's going to alter the outcome. So I did RF microneedling like when I was maybe 33 or four and it just like melted. Whoa. Yeah. Yeah. So I always tell people to be careful of that one. But I think you look amazing. I don't think you need anything. I think like good skin care, obviously. It's what you're doing every day, which I can tell you're, like,
Starting point is 01:03:47 very diligent about that. Maybe, like, regular microneedling with, like, exosomes, things like that to, like, keep those fine lines and keep, like, the outer layers of skin. You know what I just started doing? Have you done this? PRX? Yeah, I did PRX. I love it. Yeah, I've only done one. I bought a series and then, like, I was out of town and I couldn't keep using them. Where do you go? Jen Hollander. Okay. Where do you go? I'm looking for a new place. Oh, she's the best. Jen Hollander. Yes. Where is she located?
Starting point is 01:04:15 She is in Santa Monica. Fuck! Why? I hate when I find out things are so far from me. All my friends, like, on the west side, I never see them anymore. Yeah. Because it's like, guys, I can't get in the car for that long. I know Santa Monica's a beautiful place.
Starting point is 01:04:31 She's worth it. Right across from Air One. You can, like, make a day. You know, I've never been to Air One. Like any Air One? No. Wow. People will send me Airwant stuff.
Starting point is 01:04:40 Like, after, like, I gave birth. Like, my friend sent me. like Air One food and all that. I have never, that trend has it missed me completely. And like, I don't need it. Like I don't need, I don't need to know. I don't need a $28 fucking smoothie. Yeah. I'm fine. I get that part of it. I go to Air One because they have snacks and things that, like, I cannot get anywhere else. Like what? Sweet potato awesome. What is the sweet potato awesome? I have them here somewhere. They're dehydrated or like freeze dried sweet. sweet potatoes in these little sticks and they're crunchy. Like, I just sometimes need like a crunchy
Starting point is 01:05:17 snack in the middle of the afternoon. Okay. And it's just sweet potato, a little bit of coconut oil and sea salt. It's healthy. It's so good. Yeah. It's so obnoxiously healthy, but it's so good. So that, they have like the macha that I buy. They have like things like that that I just can't get anywhere else. No, it's so crazy because like I see people like traveling to L.A. And like their first stop is Airwan. And I'm like, when did this happen? Crazy. Like it is, I was in France and I saw a with an Airwine like tote bag. And I was like, this is crazy. Like they turned it into, to give them credit, like a global wellness brand.
Starting point is 01:05:52 What did that happen? I feel like a couple years ago when they had Balenciaga, like do the show here. Did you see this? When it was in Beverly Hills. It was in Beverly Hills. And they were wearing like leather, air one tote bags. And they did a collab with Airwan. And they had like a drink at Airwan.
Starting point is 01:06:08 And then they had leather Airwant tote bags for like, I don't know how many thousands of And they were wearing like Airwant stuff down the runway. And I feel like that was the first time that it was like, oh, this is like reaching way beyond. Wow. And then I think with the smoothies and stuff probably, which they did very intentionally. But I'm never going to get a smoothie collab. I've never been.
Starting point is 01:06:34 I had the third drink at Airwant, I think. I think Mariana had the first one, then tanks, then me. And I didn't have a smoothie. I had like a tea back in 2021. Wait, that's like really exciting. It was amazing. I want a cocktail somewhere. You should have.
Starting point is 01:06:47 I like I don't need a smooth. I don't want a smoothie. You know what? I feel like everywhere after the success of the Air One smoothies, now everywhere is doing like a collaboration. Like ice cream places are doing like collabs with celebrities and doing like an ice cream flavor and all the macha places. And so I'm sure you can get a cocktail. We need to make a macheteenie. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:07 Why is no one? I feel like they are. I feel like I just. No, they're not. Tessa, they are? Where? Where? Just restaurants?
Starting point is 01:07:21 You should do a macheteen somewhere. I want to do a macheteen. Where do you go? Like, what's your most frequent? I don't really go out. You don't go out. Okay, step one. Go out.
Starting point is 01:07:30 If we're like, okay, let's like leave the house. Like sunset tower, I go to dinner there. I feel like they would probably not do a club. No, but Chaconis for lunch. Chaconies for sure would. I do that. I do go to Chaconis for lunch whenever I'm like in the area. Amazing. Well, tell everybody where they can watch your show. You can watch on your show and July 29th, two episodes drop on freeform and then July 30th. Every episode drops on Hulu. So this is a bingeable show. Starting point is 01:08:04 So I get like one extra few. I love it. I like that you can binge it too. Yes. Yeah. That's like, I I hate when things are episodic. I just can't. I hate it also. I just want to like watch it all at once and then be done and live in that world and become obsessed and then feel like my life is over when I'm done watching it. What do I watch next? Are you doing season two? We won't find out until it aired. So everybody go watch. Yeah. Thank you so much. Thank you. I love this. I hope you enjoyed that episode.
